1x14 SINE IRA ET STUDIO
The Courtyard

The Academy was much more lively than normal. The arrival of the Pink Haired Grenade, Brytain Rollins, brought an element of chaos to the usual atmosphere of the facility. The students were eager to learn from her book of survival in the most extreme of environments. Almost everyone seemed to be excited to learn from her knowledge and experience of hardcore wrestling. Not all of them were so willing to join in however; one of them being her own adoptive daughter.
Tiffany Rollins hasn’t exactly had the best of times in the Academy so far. In fact, they’ve been quite terrible. Exposed as a shell of her former self, she’s been more than complacent in her training, showing no signs of improving or stepping back into a ring. Despite sharing her experiences with some of the students, she simply did not possess the same energy as she did during those experiences. It hasn’t helped that some of the students have picked up on her misery, nor has it helped that some of them have asserted their dominance over her because of it. Her pride, her confidence and her motivation were seemingly gone at this point.
Even despite her own mother showing up at the Academy, that didn’t seem to faze her. That was more than evident as we caught up with her in the corner of the courtyard. The way she stood in the corner, with her phone in hand, gave the impression that she was out of the sight of the cameras, but judging by what was supposed to be a private conversation, unfortunately that was not the truth. Letting her guard down for these few moments, we witnessed what would break down as an emotional phone conversation…
Tiff:
I think this is all a huge mistake...
…
Tiff:
No I mean… I don’t know what I’m doing… I shouldn’t have come here…
…
Tiff:
I’m sorry. It’s just…I don’t know… I thought coming here would change things for the better. Like...wrestling was such a big part of my life. I thought coming here would bring back that passion. Help me get back into the one thing I was ever good at. I don’t know why it’s so hard for me to get back on track. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but whatever it is...I don’t know...maybe I shouldn’t have bothered…
…
Tiff:
You don’t understand. I’m pathetic. I’m ashamed of what I am. What I’ve become. But I don’t know how to do this without turning into the same monster that I became as a champion. I turned my back on everyone that loved me, and I can’t let that happen again. I wanna be something better, but I don’t know how…
…
Tiff:
I never wanted her to see me like this. I’m supposed to be her little monster. That’s why I didn’t ask for her help. That’s why I came here. I thought I could figure it out, but I can’t. I can’t defend myself anymore. I can’t fight my own battles. I can’t even stick up for those who actually care about me. Everything that people say about me. What Faith says. That I’m a doormat. I’m a lost cause. I don’t deserve to be here. It’s all true. I know mom only wants to help, but quite frankly, I think I wanna go back home…
…
Tiff:
I know but…
…
Tiff:
I’m sorry I…
…
Tiff:
Please, I don’t know what else to do. The longer I stay here, the more of a joke I become…
…
Tiff:
No I haven’t been to her classes…
…
Tiff:
I just told you. I don’t want her to see me like this. And if she gets involved with anyone here...if she tries to stick up for me...I don’t know what I’ll do. The last thing I wanna do is piss that bitch off again. I’m not ready to deal with her shit again…
…
Tiff:
Look, I just…
…
Tiff:
I know what you’re trying to do. But you don’t understand. I’m not ready. I’m nowhere near everyone else’s level yet. Have you seen their matches here? There’s no way I can compete with these students…
…
Tiff:
I don’t need to get in the ring with them. I know I’ll just make an ass of myself. And if that happens...well...let’s just say I’ll never hear the end of it…
…
Tiff:
Yeah I’ve been sticking to the diet. I really don’t think it’s working though…
…
Tiff:
Alright listen… If I go to one of her classes, that’s it. The last time I trained with her, she trapped me on top of fucking twenty foot cage and said it was to help me conquer my fear of heights. How do I know the same thing won’t happen again? And if she does that kind of shit to me in front of everyone…I don’t know what I’ll do…
…
Tiff:
I know she’s only trying to help but I know I’m only gonna let her down again…
…
Tiff:
Yes I will. And even if she does help, that will just prove everyone’s point. I can’t do anything by myself anymore. I need everyone’s help. I need help to get back in shape. I need help to learn to fight again. I need help to stick up for myself. Everyone fights my battles for me…
…
Tiff:
I don’t think that’s what friends are for…
…
Tiff:
Well I mean… I’ve never actually had that many friends to begin with so I don’t know…
…
Tiff:
I know, some of these people are actually nice. I actually like helping them…
…
Tiff:
But if I let them help me, that just proves that point again…
…
Tiff:
I know, I’m such a fucking failure…
…
Tiff:
I’m sorry. I just don’t know what to do. I can’t make any friends cuz I know I’ll only force them away again, but I can’t keep doing this on my own. What should I do? Where should I go from here?
Unfortunately she never got the answer she wanted, as the other students entered the courtyard. The session was over, and it was time for Tiffany to end the conversation…
Tiff:
I’ll talk to you later. I love you…
As she ended the phone call, she headed into the unknown, making sure to avoid everyone before they caught her. Before fading to black however, the camera caught her mother, Brytain Rollins, heading in the same direction.

2:32 PM
It’s not rare to find Faith Savell enjoying some fresh air in the short pause the students have between their lunch and the beginning of the afternoon classes. It’s just as common to find her in the company of her best friend Olly.
Olly:
It wasn’t bad actually. You wouldn’t say that Tiffany is her daughter..
He’s obviously talking about Brytain Rollins, this week’s guest for the optional seminary. Olly attended the first class yesterday, and he’s likely going to the second part set to start in half an hour.
Olly:
I know she’s not her real mother, but she’s living with her for how long? Two years? Three? You’d think she learned something, that she built some character...
Faith chuckles and lets out an audible sigh, the truth was it didn’t matter who was leading the seminar, Faith would never have attended.
Faith Savell:
I’m really not surprised, she’s the most boring and unimpressive person on the planet. It would be more shocking to learn that she actually HAD learned something from her bonus mom.
Faith air-quoted those last two words, a smirk rubbing across her face.
Faith Savell:
More importantly, we have one to get back this week. We’re an unstoppable team, as much as I love Kid, he slowed my progress last show and I can’t let that happen again. I know I can rely on you to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Olly:
Give me a chance to beat up Dez, and you know I’ll give my 200%.
He replies with a confident smirk.
Olly:
Did you see them last week? After how he treated Millie, there’s no way they can work as a team. This is going to be a walk in the park for us.
Faith Savell:
I don’t trust that psychopath at all, just because it seems like they’re at odds doesn’t mean he won’t pull some shit, we all know he can’t win this on talent alone… so we just need to be ready for all his bullshit.
Olly puts his hand on Faith’s shoulder to reassure her.
Olly:
And we will be ready. We already beat him once when he teamed with that chick who quit, he already knows he doesn’t stand a chance against us. I kinda feel bad for Millie, she’s a nice girl and doesn’t deserve to team with that prick.
Faith gives a relieved smile and nods quickly.
Faith Savell:
I actually feel sorry for her too, she’s pretty cool and she’s stuck on the crappy team with selfish assholes. We should really see if we can help her out…
Olly stares at Faith for a moment, you could almost see the cogs turning in his head.
Olly:
Hmm… You’re right and I might just have had an idea… I guess it’s time Little Millie and I have a few words…
His eyes fall on the phone he’s holding in his hand.
Olly:
Almost time to go for me. Are you sure you don’t want to come to Brytain’s seminar? It’s not just about hardcore stuff… Not all of it anyway.
Faith laughs and nods her head.
Faith Savell:
There’s nothing the woman who trained Tiffany can teach me, I’m a whole other technique to that mess.
Standing up from his seat, Olly smiles at the Gold Star.
Olly:
Fair enough, Princess. See you in the gym after class? There’s something I’d like to work on with you.
She looks up at him and smiles back, nodding her head in confirmation. Olly then walks back toward the main building turning back one last time and waving his hand at Faith.

The scene opens with Faizah Marshall sitting on the ring apron. Her hands are resting on the apron, she has one leg draped over the over. Leaning slightly forward she addresses the camera.
Faizah Marshall:
I know what you’re probably thinking. Faizah versus The Kid. Another opportunity for me to send a message to Faith by beating her boyfriend. Don’t blame you if that’s where your mind went. I can’t allow myself to go there.
Faizah shakes her head.
Faizah Marshall:
The one thing I learned about Faith, she doesn’t care. I don’t doubt she cares about The Kid and whatever success he has in the future. She didn’t allow me pinning her in a tag match to knock her off her game, you saw how she responded by beating Trinity. I doubt me beating her boyfriend for the third straight time will make a difference. That’s how good Faith is--
Faizah looks like she wants to throw up conceding that.
Faizah Marshall:
-- SINE IRA ET STUDIO needs to be more about getting myself ready for the battle ahead with Faith.
Lets face it, The Kid has a lot to prove. He hasn’t been racking up a lot of wins. Has he come a long way? Sure. I’ll give him that. One day he is going to set the world on fire when we exit The Academy. I remember the words Olly told me prior to Coup Da Grae. I’ll admit his ill thoughts about Tiff did break my heart just a little, I need to believe he meant what he said in the pep talk he gave me, that he believes I have a lot to offer. That I am capable of being a star. Being a star is what I want more than anything in the world.
How about you, Kid?
Faizah allows silence to hang in the air.
Faizah Marshall:
What do you want? Are you comfortable knowing the only reason this match is even happening is because of who you’re sleeping with? Do me a favor, no no no, do yourself a favor. Make SINE IRA ET STUDIO about yourself. Not doing Faith’s dirty work. Not trying to impress her. Not trying to avoid her wrath. I came to the Academy to be the best. To be a star. Not to give someone else my balls. Bring yours to the ring. Man up. And prove that your talent warrants the ego you have. See you tomorrow.
Faizah waves as the scene fades.
Michael Ali's Office
January 29, 2021
4:20 PM
Team Ali Leader Michael Ali is in his office, doing some paperwork, when a knock is heard on his door. He looks up at the door and he says "Come in!" The door slowly opens and Millie slowly enters.
Millie Smith:
Hi, sorry for bothering you Mr. Ali.
Michael Ali:
That's okay Millie, .....you can close the door.
She turns around and shuts the door.
Michael Ali:
Have a seat.
Millie walks forward toward's Michael's desk, pulls out the chair and takes a seat. Michael smiles as he looks at her.
Michael Ali:
So...... How can I help you Ms Smith?
Millie tucks her hair behind her ear and takes a deep breath as she sits down. Her legs cross and she turns her feet slightly inward.
Millie Smith:
About the match tonight. I know you're busy, maybe you don't remember what happened last time I teamed up-
Millie then pauses as her breath gets a little short and she fidgets with her fingers while relieving what happened.
Millie Smith:
The last time Dez and I were together, it didn't go well or end well...
She looks up at him, as he sort of gauge Millie was hoping to change the booking for tonight and get out of a shouting situation.
Michael Ali:
Okay, so while you didn't say it out loud, I believe you are trying to get me to change this match. Am I right?
He looks at Millie who nods as she was about to say something, Millie is cut off by the Team Leader.
Michael Ali:
I need you to understand something. You and my son are teammates and I am not just talking about the tag team title match that has been booked for tonight.
Michael sits forward from his relaxed and layed back seating and he stares right at Millie sitting in front of him.
Michael Ali:
What I am talking about is the fact that both of you are members of Team Ali. I expect you two to learn and work with each other and I personally think both of you can learn a thing or two from each other. Sure, Dez was kinda rough on you last week and I'm sure you didn't like that. You two need to learn how to synchronize a little more. ......And trust me, you'll win back the tag titles, once you learn how to cooperate with my son.
Michael then sits back into his more relaxed position.
Michael Ali:
So your request is a negative. I do hope you understand why Ms. Smith.
Outside the office, after closing up that conversation Millie steps out a little dejected obviously and closing her eyes as she tries to deal with her situation. Suddenly she spots her partner for the tag team title match and is caught by surprise.
Millie Smith:
Eep!
She whispers hoping she hadn't been heard. Her immediate reaction was to pull her hood up and try sneak by unseen but she wasn't wearing one today. Maybe it was the sun beaming in on her blonde locks, but she was also spotted quickly and tried to politely keep things brief
Millie Smith:
Hey...Dez. I'll see you on show day...
Dez Ali all in black, sporting a black hoodie, long black Levi's jeans pants and black Jordan Retro 11 Cap & Gown basketball sneakers. He wearing a black New York Yankees baseball cap backwards.
As Millie tries to quickly walk away, clearly avoiding The Most Valuable Player, Dez notices this and grabs her by her arm and pushes her against the wall, not to hard, but rough enough.
Dez Ali:
Yet you don't seem to happy to see me or from whatever you doing in there with my dad.
Realizing what Dez is insinuating, she quickly tries to deny it, but Dez places his hand on her mouth before Millie could say anything to his gross insinuation.
Dez Ali:
Shhhhhhhh, don't flatter yourself little girl. My dad is in love with my mother, no woman or girl can challenge that love. However, you being in my dad's office only means one thing. You tried to get our tag match cancelled and you not being too happy about it, means, you didn't get what you want.
Millie tries answering, but his hand over her mouth muffles her words.
Dez Ali:
Shhhhhhhhh, relax. Anyone ever told you you talk too much? .......Look I just want you to know I am dedicated in evolving your in ring skills. You see Millie, I asked my dad to be more than just your teammate.
This is when Millie calms down and looks at Dez in his eyes confused.
Dez Ali:
Now I get your attention. ......You see from here on out, I'm going to be your tutor.
This clearly doesn't sit well with Millie, who digs deep and finds enough strength to push Dez backwards, away from her.
Millie Smith:
I don't believe you. No.
Millie says a little louder than she's spoken so far because of the hand over her mouth. However Dez's body language gives her the vibe that he's not lying, but she's not sure.
Millie Smith:
You're not.
Dez laughs and shakes his head as he pulls his hoodie over his head. Just as Dez steps up closer to Millie the office door of Team Leader Michael Ali opens. Michael makes his exit and closes his door. He looks at Millie and then at Dez.
Dez Ali:
Perfect timing.
Michael Ali:
You two already in collaboration for your upcoming match? That's a good sign.
Dez Ali:
Millie is so excited, she just wanted to confirm what I told her moments ago is right.
Michael Ali:
And what's that?
Dez Ali:
Well dad, she wants to know if I being her tutor from here on out is true.
Michael smiles and looks at Millie who clearly is concerned with the answer she is about to hear.
Michael Ali:
You're real lucky Ms Smith. Not sure what my son sees in you, but he's going to be spending much time helping you out and I think it's a good thing.
Millie is looking directly at Dez visibly upset and emotional as Michael turns back to his son.
Michael Ali:
Well gotta go, you two behave yourselves and get on the same page. The clock is ticking.
As he point at the clock hung on the wall it shows it is 4:33pm in the afternoon. Mr. Ali walks off leaving the youngsters behind. Dez smiling, while Millie clearly upset.
Dez Ali:
You don't know it yet, but this, is a good thing.
He taps Millie on her shoulder and walks off as she drops, stopping down to the ground, with both hands over her face, clearly stressed and upset over this nightmare that seems to have no end.
