MWE Presents: Red Line 2
From Chicago, IL
Monday, December 28th, 2020*
*The show will air Wednesday 30th, 2020 on MENTV
It's a familiar sight for the MWE fans who watched last year's Red Line event. The small studio with its glass table, the big flat screen on the left and the official Red Line 2 poster on the backdrop. Riot's commentator Amy Maynard is sitting at the desk, smiling at the camera.
Amy Maynard:
Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Red Line 2! It's a pleasure and a privilege for me to host this show once again. Exactly one year ago, on this very studio, I made my MENTV debut. What a night that was, do you remember? I'm sure you do, but if that's not the case, here's a quick reminder.
She points at the screen to her left, and it quickly turns on to show some footage from the first edition of Red Line. Namely, we see the final moments of every qualifying match. Saki piledriving Jasmine on a chair wrapped in barbwire, Brodie avoiding Helena Noir's diving crossbody and pinning Henri Black with a Victory Roll while the former Liberty champion crashed through a pan of glass. Next is the disturbing image of Kenzie Garrett carving Abigail Lindsay's face with a fork to secure her spot in the chamber, where she was joined by Joey Leclair after he dropped Nina onto a chair with his Stygian vertebreaker. The fifth entrant was Raynmond Reznik who buried Wilkow under the steel barricade to keep him down for a ten count. Last but not least Ramsay Bodach, seen walking out of the cage after chokeslamming The Crimson Baroness.
The clip continues with highlights from the chamber, showing the craziest spots, every elimination including the team effort to take down Ramsay until only one person is, barely, standing. Kenzie Garrett.
As the image go back inside the studio, Amy is joined by her daughter Mia who was wearing a Leia LeBeau's "Welcome To The Show" shirt.
Amy Maynard:
Quite the trip down memory lane, right? This edition shared the same formula, eighteen participants fighting in six triple threat matches looking to earn their spot in the Elimination Chamber for the ultimate reward. A shot at any title, and an always welcome cash prize.
The screen flicks to light once again, showing the MWE logo.
Amy Maynard:
In between the grueling matches we will witness tonight, I will be announcing the winners of the MWE End Of The Year awards. Ten categories for ten prizes, from the best poster to the match of the year, and of course the Wrestler Of The Year. Let's not waste any time then and start with the first two awards. Mia, can you pass me the first two envelopes?
The young kid does as her mom tells her, picking up the two envelopes marked with the numbers 1 and 2 to the host.
Amy Maynard:
And we start from the Best Poster for a MWE event. Not an easy choice, you've all seen them, each one of them is a work of art. Shoutout to our graphic guru! One of them stood out amongst all for the majority of the fans...
Dramatic pause.
Amy Maynard:
And the winner is... Coup De Grâce!
Cut to the poster of the latest MWE pay-per-view flashing on the big screen.
Amy Maynard:
And since we're on the topic already, let's jump straight into your favorite PPV of 2020. We had some memorable event for sure, but which one is forever etched in the memory of our fans?
Amy opens the envelope, a look of surprise on her face as she reads the outcome.
Amy Maynard:
Can't say I'm surprised, it was an historic two nights for this company. We crowned a new World champion, we saw alliances falling apart, some incredible fights... But it was an historic night for four young up and comers, four stars in the making with a brilliant future ahead of them. I'm obviously talking about the Academy students who made their PPV debut on the last supershow we had. That's right, Coupe De Grâce is also the MWE Event Of The Year!
Another quick clips airs on the screen, showing the best parts of the latest special event from one month ago, images still fresh in the memory of the MWE fans.
Amy Maynard:
And that's enough for now, we'll be back with more awards after this first match. Duke Andrews, Dustin Douglas and Underground's own Aiden Morrow fighting in an Elimination Texas Death Match. Who will come out on top?
The scene cuts backstage to Aiden Morrow, the self-claimed Captain of Underground.
Aiden Morrow:
Tonight I go up against Dustin Douglas and Duke Andrews. Two dudes with the two most basic names in wrestling. What the fuck is this? 1980?
He laughed and shook his head.
Aiden Morrow:
That being said, I guess it makes sense that we’re in an elimination Texas Deathmatch, right?
He shrugged his shoulders.
Aiden Morrow:
None of that shit really matters, though. What matters is what I’m going to do to both of these idiots to advance to the elimination chamber later tonight. I’m not going to hold anything back and when it comes to anything goes matches like this? Shit, this is my kind of playground.
He nodded confidently.
Aiden Morrow:
I’ve always been a guy who does whatever it takes to win and that won’t change tonight. Duke and Dustin are going to be leaving the arena on a stretcher, covered in their own blood. Why? Simply enough? They can’t keep up with me. Sorry boys, but this one is mine. And then? After I win that elimination chamber? I’ll have a shot at any championship I want. What a very merry Christmas to me.
He nodded and walked off and the scene cuts away.

Elimination Texas Death Match
Gerald Ratner Athletic Center @ University Of Chicago (4:00 PM CST)
Aiden Morrow VS Dustin Douglas VS Duke AndrewsGerald Ratner Athletic Center @ University Of Chicago (4:00 PM CST)
At the Gerald Athletic Center Dustin Douglas’ streak was in serious jeopardy, as the Murder Train went against the new Captain Of HKW Gavin Grimes and the former two-time Lockdown champion Duke Andrews. With the well known history between Duke and Sandstorm, it was no surprise to see the former member of APE going at Dusty right off the bat. As the two men traded punches, Aiden moved out of the ring and started digging for objects under it. He pulled out a few chairs, which he tossed inside the ring until he found what he was looking for. A kendo stick. Duke had rocked Douglas with an uppercut to the chin, and charged for a clothesline. The Big Nasty ducked it, but he couldn’t avoid the kendo stick that Morrow swung onto his back. Aiden had one for Duke too, catching him as he bounced back from the ropes with a shot to the stomach that doubled him over. He then grabbed Andrews by his shoulder and threw him against the Murder Train. Dustin instinctively reacted with a clubbing blow to the back of Duke, dropping him down on all fours. Aiden then stepped onto the former Lockdown Champion’s back and used it as a trampoline to knock Douglas’ face with his Flying Morrow Smash (springboard forearm smash). Dustin ended up against the ropes, still dazed by Aiden’s forearm strike when the Captain of HKW superkicked him over the top rope. He then focused on Andrews, grabbing one of the chairs he threw in the ring before and smashed it across Duke’s back. Lastly, Aiden positioned the chair strategically and dropped the former Lockdown champion onto it with a hurricanrana driver. To be eliminated, Duke should’ve been pinned and kept down for a ten count, but the Epitome Of Perfection kicked out in two. When Dustin got his hands on one of the chairs things took a turn for the worse for both Aiden and Duke. Morrow barely beat the count after Dustin scrambled his brains with a brutal shot to the head that cracked the man’s skull, painting his face red. Duke had to defend himself from the Murder Train’s fury. At some point Douglas had to throw the chair out of the ring and pick up a different one after the first turned into a shapeless heap of metal. And right when he grabbed the chair laying on the floor he was hit by an enziguri from Morrow, who then unleashed a flurry of strikes to the cornered Big Nasty. Andrews used this time to recover, intervening only when Douglas reversed the irish whip attempt and fired Aiden in the opposite corner, intercepting the Murder Train as he was charging across the ring with a pounce that sent Dusty on the floor. From a mounting position, Duke began punching Douglas’ face wearing the old APE brass knuckles, drawing blood from the big man. Two on one seemed to be the only way to stop the Murder Train, and finally Duke and Aiden figured that out, double teaming Douglas looking to take him out of the equation. They almost succeeded with a con-chair-to, but after Duke’s pin, Dustin managed to get up to his feet by the count of eight. Aiden kept the pressure on Douglas with stomps and kicks while Douglas rolled out of the ring and pulled out a table from under it. He was picking it up from the floor to push it inside the ring when he was clubbed from behind by two fans. Under the fake moustache was hiding Chris Constantine Junior, while the baseball hat and sunglasses weren’t a very effective disguise for the MWE World Champion Devin Hearst. And if the two of them were here, surely Dreadnought couldn’t be too far away. And there he came, the less believable janitor in the world, standing at 6’10 and weighing over 300 pounds, wielding the mop as if it was a weapon. And as such he used it, breaking it on Duke’s back while the 2 time Lockdown champion was on his knees and hands, helpless against the Sandstorm Inc. assault. Hearst and Constantine then stepped aside, letting Dread get his measure of revenge on Andrews while they set up the table outside the ring. Easy to imagine what happened next. Sandstorm Inc set Duke up for a triple powerbomb through a table and onto the concrete floor, before rolling him inside the ring for Dustin to make the pin. There was the three count, and the referee then began to count up to ten while Douglas went back to work on Morrow. The count reached ten and Duke was out. Everybody, Morrow included, was expecting Sandstorm to take out the other competitor as well, but Hearst called Chris and Dreadnought, who followed him backstage. Their job here was done, they came to get revenge on Duke, not to help Douglas winning his match. Not that the Murder Train seemed to need any help, now firmly in control after connecting the Final Flash on Aiden. Morrow wasn’t staying down though, desperately fighting back with a low blow that doubled Dusty over. Another volley of kicks knocked the big man back a few steps, taking him right to the middle of the ring. The chair was still there, perfectly positioned for Aiden to drop Dusty on top of it with the No Fly Zone (double underhook piledriver). Aiden obtained the three without any problem, resting against the rope as the referee started to administer the count. Exhausted, he waited there for the ten seconds that were separating him from qualifying to the chamber match. One second away, his hopes were shattered by Dustin slowly picking himself up. His face was a crimson mask, courtesy of a second cut right above the eye. And that made him even more scary as he walked toward Aiden. His fists like stone, he hammered Morrow and cornered him, continuing to punish him with shoulder tackles to the ribs. He then picked him up in a powerbomb position and ran to the opposite side, dropping him against the turnbuckle with his King Kai Bomb. Morrow barely stood up before the ten, but when he did, he found himself staring at what looked like an inescapable fate. A pile of chairs right in the middle of the ring. He tried to fight it, but in the end Dustin dropped him onto them with his patented Giga Impact. WINNER: Dustin Douglas BY: Last Man Standing (Giga Impact), 19:46 |
We cut back in the studio, Amy is alone now, and she has two more envelopes in her hand.
Amy Maynard:
Welcome back, friends. Mia is currently out on patrol, she said she needs to make sure nobody is going to try to kick me in my face...
She obviously refers to the attack she suffered at hands of Echo a couple of weeks ago.
Amy Maynard:
And speaking of cowardly attacks raise your hand if you're surprised that Hearst and Constantine attacked Duke... Nobody? Yeah I thought so.
Her obviously ironic words are followed by an exaggerated eye roll.
Amy Maynard:
Let's see, instead, what really shocked the MWE fans this year. And the award for the Most Shocking Moment goes to...
She quickly pulls the card out of its envelope. A smirk comes on her face as she reads the content.
Amy Maynard:
It's not really a surprise to me, I voted for this one too. I'm talking about the unholy alliance between Hearst and Chris Constantine Jr that lead to Devin winning the MWE World championship!
Footage from Millennium LXXII is played on the screen, the quick clip ends with Hearst raising the title over his head. Before continuing, Amy opens the second envelope.
Amy Maynard:
A moment that, as a matter of fact, meant the end of what has been voted as the Best Tag Team/Stable Of The Year, the American Pain Experience.
Not a shock, really. Chris Constantine Jr, Duke Andrews, Alan Envy and REDD Thunder dominated all over Millennium and Riot for the whole year. Sure their methods have been questionable, to say the least, but they bought in their ranks the World Title, the Lockdown Championship (twice) and the Tag Team Championships. One thing for sure, they won't repeat themselves next year, but the 2020 was theirs without a doubt. From the clips showing CCJ & Co, the footage cuts straight to the second match of the night.
Glory Braddock, the self-proclaimed Best in the World finds herself alone right now sitting on a plush comfortable black leather sofa. The British Bombshell is wearing a little purple dress that hugs her every curve and matching purple high heeled patent leather pumps. Her SCW Adrenaline Championship title belt rests in her lap. A confident grin is etched across her lovely face and a pair of sunglasses cover her gorgeous eyes. It isn’t long until Glory’s time alone comes to an end as a knocking is heard at her dressing room door.
Glory Braddock:
Come in.
There is a bit of a pause before the door opens. Glory watches as her sister, Julia Braddock, enters the room. Glory rises from the sofa and greets her younger sibling with wide open arms, hugging her tightly. Upon breaking the embrace Glory takes appraisal of Julia’s form; she is dressed in her silver wrestling gear and looks ready to go.
Glory Braddock:
You look great, Julia. Ready for war? This is falls count anywhere, not exactly the kind of match dad prepared us for.
Julia Braddock:
You don’t have to remind me, Gloria. Bloody hell, dad probably rolled over in his bloody grave when I signed up for this shite. But it’s something I want to do and his ghost will just have to live with it...or not live with it? Whatever it is ghosts do, that’s what he’ll have to do, right?
The sisters share a laugh.
Glory Braddock:
But tell me, Julia, why did you sign up for this? You’re right, hardcore isn’t exactly your wheelhouse. And you have a lot going for you in Global Championship Wrestling. You don’t need this, do you?
The Kensington Knockout shakes her head.
Julia Braddock:
No, I don’t. I could easily stick to just GCW and be safe and secure, but I wouldn’t be happy with myself. How could I be when you are the owner of GCW? I do want to be a two time GCW World Champion. I do want to win the Civil War Match and main event Resurrection in early 2021. I want all of that. But as much success as I get in GCW it will always have your shadow looming over it. People will always ask if I could have done what all I did had you not been the owner.
Glory Braddock:
I purposefully keep out of all booking. I always let General Manager Tabitha Silverstone handle that for that very reason and you know it.
Julia Braddock:
I know that but the people either don’t know it or don’t care. I have realized that I have to think outside the box and my goals must be bigger. I must have higher aspirations. I need to expand The Julia Braddock Brand.
The British Bombshell studies her younger sister curiously.
Glory Braddock:
By expansion you mean other promotions?
Julia Braddock:
Exactly. I am definitely considering MWE as well as HKW. HKW is in turmoil right now but they are in consideration. MWE though is stable. And maybe tonight I can test the waters at Red Line 2. And it is the best time to give it a try, because if I win I could be catapulted straight into a title opportunity. You know?
Glory Braddock:
You’d still potentially be in my shadow here. I am a former Riot Champion.
Julia Braddock:
But you have no influence. You have no sway. I doubt you’ve even said a word to Grace. You barely speak to Moretti and he’s in charge of the Riot Brand. Tonight is just another part of expanding my brand and defining who I am. I hope you understand and don’t object. Because I am definitely expanding in 2021, just a question of where, and MWE is on the table.
Glory nods her head.
Glory Braddock:
I understand. And I don’t object. I’d love to have you here, I just want you to be aware of what you’re getting yourself into if you do come here.
Julia Braddock:
I am well aware of what to expect. My opponents tonight just better know what to expect from The Kensington Knockout, because I am taking no prisoners.
Falls Count Anywhere Match
Henry Crown Fieldhouse @ University Of Chicago (4:00 PM CST)
Echo VS Julia Braddock VS Kyle ButlerHenry Crown Fieldhouse @ University Of Chicago (4:00 PM CST)
This one started in the ring, but that was just as long as it lasted in there. Surprisingly enough, it was Kyle who took the initiative and dragged the match out of the ring, dragging Julia out with him. Echo obviously had to follow suit, if anything to keep herself close to the action and ready to intervene in case any of them went too close to win. In the first moments of the match in fact, the Australian seemed content to just watch as Butler and Braddock were battling amongst the fans. Julia went down on her ass after a right hook from the Glorious Golden Era member caused her to trip on the steps. That was when Echo stepped in, grabbing a handful of Kyle’s hair and smashing his head against the handrail. The fact that the fans had turned their back on Echo was nothing new, really. One of them was being particularly vocal, taunting the former Invictus champion and daring her to kick him like she kicked Amy. This didn’t sit well with the Aussie, who turned around and looked like she might actually oblige the guy. But she left herself open to Glory’s attack, the Kensington Knockout had grabbed a trash can and smacked it on Echo’s head, sending the former Invictus champion rolling disastrously down the steps. As she tried to get up, showing a bad bruise on her shoulder, Julia threw the trash can at ther, hitting her on the back and flattening her once again. And then Braddock was speared down to the floor by the returning Butler. The two kept fighting through the crowd, Kyle showing great adaptability to the rules, grabbing a cup of beer from a fan and throwing it on Braddock’s face. The impetus of the brawl took them on the verge of another ramp of stairs, one that would take them to the backstage area. A disaster waiting to happen for one of them, or both. Echo came running through the fans and shoved the two opponents down the stairs. Julia had the worst of this, cutting her head on the fall and reaching the floor before her opponent who fell on top of her, squashing her under his weight. He almost apologized to the unmoving opponent, turning his focus back on Echo right after. It was already too late to avoid the double axe handle she performed jumping halfway down the ramp of stairs, driving her hammering blow right on top of his head. And down he went, with the Australian making a quick cover but only getting a two count. She tried the same on Julia who looked in a much worse shape, but the outcome was just the same. Echo then picked up the brit and tossed her against the wall. She charged without wasting any moment, jumping to connect her knee to Braddock’s face, but Julia moved out of the way and the former Invictus champion ended up hurting herself. Braddock had planted Kyle on the floor with a snap ddt, and she was now chasing Echo down the hallway. The Australian was visibly limping, the obvious consequence of hitting your knee against a wall and the Kensington Knockout easily reached her and grabbed her by the shoulder, forcing her to spin around. A punch straight to the jaw, followed by swift kicks to the injured leg and a suplex to the hard floor. Julia made the cover next, but she only got a count of two. She then pushed Echo against a wall, and began punching her in the ribs and stomach. The Australian snatched the camera from the hands of the cameraman and smacked it across Julia’s back. And for a moment, it was all black. The footage came back a few moments later when a second cameraman arrived to the scene, The scenario had completely changed by then, with Braddock laying on the floor still recovering from Echo’s “close-up”, and the Australian wasn’t doing too great either, laying between what was left of a small table, courtesy of Kyle’s spinebuster. But the australian wasn’t done yet, kicking out in two and half from Butler’s attempt, pushing him away as he picked her up and causing him to stumble on Julia’s body and fall back, the back of his head hitting the wall and slowing his roll. This bought Echo some time to recover before picking up Braddock and hitting her with a few european uppercuts before lifting her upside down for a knee drop brainbuster. Butler came back to senses just in time to break up the pinning predicament. This would possibly be the last time MWE books a match like this, definitely the last time any of the Universities hosting the Red Line event would accept to give their spaces for this stipulation. It looked like a hurricane entered the doors of the Henry Crown Fieldhouse, destroying everything in its path. Doors, athletic equipment, vending machines… The fury of the three wrestlers didn’t spare anything, and they arrived at the indoor tennis field. Kyle attempted a Roll Tide on Echo, but the australian managed to counter it with a back suplex. Echo walked away, still dragging that right leg that was still bothering her after crashing into the wall. And certainly using it to superkick Braddock didn’t help although, silver linings, it kept the brit out the game. Echo grabbed a racket and a few balls, and even though her serve seriously needed to be worked on, both for the technique and the aim, one ball hit Kyle right there, in his crotch area. Down he went, holding on his jewels and almost crying in agony. Julia charged at Echo from behind but the Australian was quick to turn and break the racquet on her head. Put that on MWE’s tab as well… Butler came charging at Echo, running right into The Reverb that seemed to write the word end to this contest, but Kyle shockingly raised his shoulder at the last moment. Echo couldn’t believe it, getting up to confront the referee guilty, in her eyes, to be too slow in his count. As soon as she got to her feet, Julia caught her in her own version of the Glorification, the Vow Of Chastity. Before making the cover she threw a net on Kyle, a move that bought her a couple of seconds and allowed her to pick up the win as Butler took a moment too much to break free and failed to make the save milliseconds after the referee counted the three. WINNER: Julia Braddock BY: Pinfall (Vow Of Chastity), 21:07 |
As the match comes to a close and the victor makes her way back, the camera pans out and comes to rest on two men drinking and watching the show, coming closer as they discuss the match.
??:
You know, despite knowing her sister as well as I do, I can honestly say that I’m surprised at the show Julia just put on. I thought for sure it would be Butler who took this match.
The man pours a measure into a pair of tumblers and hands a glass to his companion who takes it before speaking.
Joey Leclair:
She definitely is impressive. Tell me, what are you planning to do if she wins and decides to challenge you?
The camera pans to the right, revealing Henri Black, the RIOT Championship draped over his shoulder and the fingers of his free hand playing idly along its surface.
Henri Black:
The same thing I did when I wrestled her sister at Coup De Grâce, put on the show of a lifetime, and then put her down. Honestly, she might be the only person with a more contentious history with Glory than mine… but if there is a single person on this Earth who knows more about that family and their wrestling style than I do, I haven’t met them yet.
Taking a sip from his Glass Henri looks to Joey.
Henri Black:
Though I will admit that the uncertainty of when and where it will happen is going to play on my mind until the decision is made but what about you, how does it feel to be stuck on this side of the action for a change? I’m sure you’d love to be competing down there and potentially taking Atticus down a peg instead of being up here with me, my absurdly expensive whiskey notwithstanding.
Joey averts his gaze from Henri, grabbing his glass with his right hand and takes a shot placing it back on the table.
Joey Leclair:
Grow up, Joey. You know these words have been stuck in my head since our last meeting, and to be honest? Until recently I didn’t listen because truth be told l? My mindset was I’ll prove Henri wrong by beating Helena, and I am a man of my word, and I went and beat her despite you saying I wouldn’t be able to.
Joey stares at his glass and grasps it between the fingers of his right hand slightly twirling it apparently in deep thought.
Joey Leclair:
Yet even though I beat her over a year ago? it doesn’t sit right man, because looking back now? Even Helena who doesn’t know me as well as you do? I now realize she was trying to tell me the same thing you was and that was apparent the moment she hesitated ending my career and allowing me to win and hospitalize her.
Joey sighs picking the glass up taking another shot before placing it back down and turning to meet Henri’s gaze once more.
Joey Leclair:
I went on to win the Chicago Way Championship and made a proclamation that I will become the longest-reigning champion, and guess what I did that, and in my head, I thought I was proving you wrong that I have grown up, but you know what man? I finally realize that it was never a question of my honesty because you as well as everyone else that knows me? Knows that I am an honest man and Helena who kept trying to change me even though the darkness inside me was all she had ever seen? She wasn’t trying to turn me into someone else, but instead, she saw through me, and realized I as honest as I am? Was the one living a lie.
Joey turns completely sideways in his seat so that he is completely facing Henri temporarily placing his right hand over his broken ribs in slight pain from the movement.
Joey Leclair:
Now to answer your question. I’m done with blaming everyone else, and I’m done holding grudges. Atti Valentine beat me fair, and square with no bullshit interferences or cheating, and besides the point? I have nothing else left to prove to him or Millennium, because I am the longest reigning Chicago Way Champion so he will still be chasing me, and so I think when I return? I’ll be moving into bigger and better things not as the Death Dealer, not as Pale Blood, but as the real me! Joey Leclair the Prodigy.
Henri chuckles and places his glass down.
Henri Black:
Well, it’s about fucking time. You’ve been chasing me for what, six years now? Always with that same attitude, as if you expected everything to change if you could just get edgier. It got so incredibly boring but maybe now you’ll finally be able to take that extra step… maybe you’ll finally beat me.
Standing, Henri straightens and buttons his blazer looking out over the University of Chicago.
Henri Black:
Don’t get your hopes up though, there is one thing that has not changed in those six years, and won’t be changing any time soon. I am still Henri fucking Black and this…
Henri tilts his head to the side, indicating the Riot Championship
Henri Black:
This is not going anywhere. Not today, not next week, and not if and when the winner of Red Line decides to test me on that be it Julia Braddock or any of the others, I worked too hard for too long to take this championship and I will bury anyone who tries to take it from me, keep that in mind when you think on your future.
Joey stands up facing Henri with a smirk across his face.
Joey Leclair:
Worry not Henri because when I said I’m done holding grudges? That includes you which means I’m done chasing you, and now it’s time to move forward past you, and no one in this company besides Helena knows you as good as I do, and I can safely say that not one person will be able to take that championship away from you, and so let this meeting here today be a new beginning, and this feud between you, and I? It’s over so from this day forward I no longer wish to view you are the enemy nor as an acquaintance, but from this day forward? Let’s be friends.
Joey smiles and extends his right hand out towards Henri.
Henri Black:
Well, who knows what the future will bring, after all, stranger things have happened.
Henri takes the offered hand briefly and then collects his bottle and glasses before the two go their separate ways.
??:

And we're back once again in the studio. Mia is back in the studio, sitting next to her mother. Amy clears her throat and starts to speak.
Amy Maynard:
A great win for the sister of the former Riot Champion Glory Braddock. The British Bombshell had one heck of a 2020. 173 days spent as the Riot champion, only 18 days short of the longest reign ever, that of Devin Hearst. Three MOTY candidates, both in singles and team action with her Glorious Golden Era partners... Was that enough for her to win the Female Wrestler Of The Year award?
A little more suspense this time, as Amy struggles to open the envelope.
Amy Maynard:
It wasn't, nor were Megan Monroe's 278 days as Intercontinental Champion. The award goes to the woman who started the year as MWE World Champion and finished it with the Cloud Gate Championship around her waist, Melissa Reeves!
Can't say it was a bad year for the Australian. Sure, she probably would have loved to finish it with the top prize of the company, but the second longest Cloud Gate reign isn't a bad accomplishment either.
Amy Maynard:
Curious to see who the Male Wrestler Of The Year is, instead? Let's waste no time and announce it already then.
There's no envelope to be opened this time, the name is written on the same card as the previous award.
Amy Maynard:
The winner is, Devin Hearst! Riot Champion with the longest reign and most defenses, World Champion and leader of what looks like an unstoppable army, Sandstom Inc. In 2020 he took MWE by storm, and it looks like he's planning to do the same in the new year as well.
Pushing the card aside, Amy smiles and begins to talk again.
Amy Maynard:
Let's go back to Red Line 2 now and let's see who's the mysterious competitor who will challenge Izzi Grimes and Kimberly Williams for a spot in the Chamber in a Bring Your Own Weapons match. Brace yourselves, this one is going to be crazy!
Backstage at the Joseph J Gentile Arena we find “The Woman Scorned” Kimberly Williams seated comfortably on the ground surrounded by many deadly yet unique weapons. Some of these are notable, recognizable weapons...the dirty brown glove with sharp blades on each finger tip of the glove, a glove she named “Betty White”; a plush Penguin toy with the stuffing taken out and replaced with lead weights, a penguin she named Wasley; the famous Infinity Gauntlet; and of course, one of her all time favorites, the simplistic yet deadly staple gun. But there are a few new weapons among this pile of debris…
...a two foot tall Godzilla toy?
...portrait of Grace?
...a life size replica of a Dalek?
Kimberly Williams is eccentric but even this strange collection of weapons is out there. Then again, there are the traditional weapons as well, including several steel chairs, chains, pipes, and the like. Knowing Kim, she will stick to her favorites.
Kimberly Williams:
Forgive me, I am going to be serious for just a moment…
The Woman Scorned sighs.
Kimberly Williams:
Most of my life I have been viewed as the black sheep of the Jones wrestling family. Most members of my own family refused to even recognize me let alone give me a chance to prove myself. Only my twin was willing to reach out and get me the help I needed while the rest would have been more than happy to let me sit in the mental ward for the rest of my life. But she helped me, she saved me, and I went on to earn my family’s trust, support, acceptance, and their love. Yet still to this day I find myself in a position of having to prove myself. Most promotions I wrestle for catagorize me as a hardcore wrestler or extreme wrestler. Maybe I’m labeled as someone’s sidekick but never as the main player. Every so often I get the opportunity to prove my worth as a stand alone competitor, as a great WRESTLER...not just great at swinging a chair or rolling around in barbed wire.
Kim looks to her left and right at the pile of weapons on the floor. A sadistic grin forms upon her face.
Kimberly Williams:
Tonight is a night that plays to what everyone knows is my specialty. Violence! Brutality! Hardcore! Red Line Two begins for me in a bring your own weapons match. And by the looks of things I have many weapons to choose from…
Dalek:
EXTERMINATE!
Kimberly Williams:
Hush now! Mommy is talking!
She smacks the Dalek. Then she looks back at the camera and grins devilishly.
Kimberly Williams:
Tonight my special set of skills will prove useful as I mow over each and every person who gets in my way. Because the prize to me isn’t surviving this bloodbath and proving how ruthless I am. I already know how ruthless I am and everyone out there already knows how violent and bloodthirsty I can be. The prize for me is winning the whole damn thing and earning the right to face any champion I want. And I will tell you right here and now what my prize will be WHEN...not if, but WHEN I win...I will challenge for the top championship on the Riot Brand currently held by Henri Black or the top prize in the whole damn company currently held by Devin Hearst. Because that is when I prove to the world that yes, I am a great tag team wrestler, yhat I am one of the best hardcore wrestlers there is, and that I am also one of the best technicians, submission experts, and overall wrestlers there is period. And I will prove it.
She picks up “Betty White”, the Freddy Krueger knife glove, and puts it on.
Kimberly Williams:
Right, Betty?
We cut to Izzi Grimes, who excitedly jumped in front of the camera with a smile on her face. She was wearing her ring gear already, with a backwards cap on her head.
Izzi Grimes:
Hey!! What’s up everybody? Aren’t you all excited for tonight? I know I am! Even though I might have the toughest battle up ahead. You see, I have to fight Kimberly Williams, who is as tough as nails but I’ve prepared for her. But the outlier here is that we have an opponent who hasn’t been announced yet.
She shook her head.
Izzi Grimes:
I’m not sure if it’s SUPER fair to have that kind of advantage but I’m going into this match with a smile anyway. No matter who that person is? They’re going to get everything I’ve got!
She nodded confidently.
Izzi Grimes:
What is exciting is that we get to bring our own weapons! I don’t have those with me because I want it to be a surprise, of course! I hope you all like what I bring too! As for Kimberly? I have an idea of what she might bring from when she fought against my friends, Jay Gallagher and Donovan Keane, not too long ago. Like that penguin stuffed with lead! Her infinity gauntlet! And a bunch of other nifty stuff! I can’t lie, she’s creative and definitely perfect for this match.
Izzi steps closer to the camera and gives a bit more of a serious look now.
Izzi Grimes:
But so am I. Lately, a lot of people haven’t been taking me as seriously as they should. I don’t know if it’s because I’m the youngest Grimes or if it’s because I’m not the tallest of the bunch, but let me tell you this, nobody works harder than I do! I’m ready for whatever comes my way tonight. And as for the Elimination Chamber? I’ll be focusing on this match first and then, then I’ll get ready for that. See you out there Kimberly and person to be determined!
She flashes a quick smile and waves before slipping out of the frame and the scene cuts away.

Bring Your Own Weapons Match
Joseph J. Gentile Arena @ Loyola University (4:00 PM CST)
Kimberly Williams VS Izzi Grimes VS T.B.A.Joseph J. Gentile Arena @ Loyola University (4:00 PM CST)
Kimberly Williams needed a cart to bring all her toys to the ring. Inside of it were all the peculiar objects she showed in her pre-match footage, including the real-life Dalek and the Infinity Gauntlet. Only Betty White was not there, but that was because she was wearing the Freddy Krueger glove on her hand. Next came Izzi Grimes, and she brought a versatile kendo stick, a stop sign, a pink chair and a custom baseball bat colored in purple and gold, the LA Lakers colors. A few more objects were laying outside the ring, and you have to safely assume they were those of the third mysterious entrant. A steel chair, a table, a baseball bat. Nothing too fancy, but they were all wrapped in barbwire. There was also a skein of barbed wire, definitely an all-time favorite of whoever was about to enter the match. Now it was the moment everyone had been waiting for. Speculations had been running wild since that “TBA” appeared on the card. Lucie Callaway’s sister Brytain Rollins was one of the popular guesses, some were hoping to see Anastasia Starling coming back, remembering how the Pale Winged Passerine was one of the scheduled entrants last year, only to be replaced by Ramsay Bodach at the last moment. The MWE fans would have loved to see the Emperor back in the ring as well, or the return of the former Chicago Way champion and winner of last year’s Red Line Kenzie Garrett. Hell, some even speculated that the Academy student Olly would be entering it, after showing a certain flair for violence at Coup De Grâce… But very few of them would have imagined to see Eliza Foley coming out of the curtain, a shillelagh in her hand. The first ever Millennium champion and former Riot Champion was welcomed with a thunderous ovation by those who came to the Joseph J. Gentile Arena, surprised and excited to see the woman who, under her maiden name Eliza Valentine, had been one of the main staples of this company. Eliza charged down the ramp and entered the ring, the referee rushed to ring the bell and Foley immediately swung the traditional irish club into Izzi’s midsection, bringing the young Grimes to her knees. Kimberly attacked with Betty White, the blades on the glove missing Eliza by mere inches as the former champion stepped backward at the last moment before being gutted by the Woman Scorned. Past the danger, Foley dropped the shillelagh on her arm, a blow so hard that only by a miracle didn’t shatter Kim’s bones. But the Wildcard lost her Betty White after the tremendous impact, clutching the aching arm with the opposite hand. Valentine dropped her down with the Mysterious Girl (Crossroads), could this be over already? Izzi Grimes had other plans for the night and made the save. The match was brutal, the blood tribute was paid early on but all three of them, all but shocking considering the dangerous weapons and even more dangerous people involved. Izzi’s pink chair was splattered in red when Grimes smacked it on Eliza’s head, knocking her out. Grimes then placed the chair onto her chest and prepared herself for a standing moonsault. When she saw Kimberly charging at her with the Infinity Gauntlet, she quickly changed her mind and opted for a back body drop instead. Kim flew in the air and landed on top of Eliza, back first onto the chair. Grimes pushed her out of the way and made the cover on Eliza, who kicked out in time. Next one to get busted open was Izzi, when Williams smacked the back of her head with a Wasley shot to the back of the head. The stuffed penguin seemed to be heavier than it used to be, and the blow knocked Grimes down cracking her head open. Blood started pouring down, but nonetheless the young Valiant wrestler was already pulling herself up, but a curb stomp from Eliza put her back down. Foley barely ducked the flying Wasley, launching herself against Kimberly with a spear, reminiscent of her wife’s Faugh A Ballagh. Both competitors landed on the outside after the spear, close to the stash of Eliza’s weapons. The Mysterious Girl reached for the skein and wrapped the barbed wire on her forearm, grinding it on Kim’s face. When she was done with it, her own arm was bleeding, but not as much as the Woman Scorned, whose face was literally a bloody mess. “EXTERMINATE!” The Dalek replica cried out of nowhere with perfect timing, right when Izzi was about to plant Kimberly with the Crowning. Grimes got distracted by it and Williams broke free from the headlock with a stiff elbow to the stomach that left the 22 years old short-winded. She was still catching her breath when Kimberly sprinted to the opposite side of the ring, bouncing against the ropes and connected with a hard Shadowblade knee right to the face. Izzi went down like a ton of brick and Kim made a quick cover, broken up with Eliza with a diving double foot stomp. Foley, finally recovering after some time spent on the outside after Williams’ Morrigan’s Wrath, quickly went to retrieve her personal table, the one wrapped in barbwire, and set it up inside the ring. Spoiled for choice, she could pick any of the opponents to put through the table. Both of them were, in fact, struggling to get up to their feet, battered and bruised. Her choice fell on Williams, who amongst the two seemed to be the one in worse shape, if anything for the big amount of blood lost earlier. The Wildcard put up some fight, trying to punch Eliza away while she was dragging her closer to the table. A knee to the face vanquished her last resistance, allowing Foley to hoist her up on her shoulders in a fireman’s carry position ready to throw her through the table. Izzi put a stop to her in the most literal way, slamming the sign on her head. Kimberly slipped away, landing behind Foley’s shoulder and quickly slid her head between her legs and lifted her in an electric chair position. She then fell back, putting the former Riot champion through her own table. Eventually Foley managed to disentangle herself from the mess of barbed wire and wood shrapnels, rolling on the outside to pull herself together. Her back showed several cuts, none of them looking particularly deep but surely they’d bother her for the rest of the match and, should she come out victorious, into the chamber as well. Kim and Izzi inside the ring were still going, Lakers’ baseball bat versus a cow print one with the name “Mora” on the grip. Wielding it like a lightsaber, Kim taunted Izzi with a couple of Star Wars quotes and invited her to “come to the dark side”. Grimes attacked, the two of them dueled for a while dodging and parrying each other’s swings, until Izzi kicked Kim in the stomach after sidestepping a blow. With Williams doubled over, Grimes moved next to her and wrapped the bat on her neck, falling behind with a russian leg sweep. She climbed to the top rope for her Light The Way phoenix splash, but she found herself face to face with Eliza Foley standing on the apron. The former Riot Champion punched her hard, and with the chain wrapped around the fist nonetheless. She used the same chain to tie her up to the corner, preventing her from interfering further and making the save after she nailed Kimberly with a second Mysterious Girl, picking up an hard fought victory in her returning match. WINNER: Eliza Foley BY: Pinfall (Mysterious Girl), 20:11 |
Amy Maynard:
Holy Moly, Eliza Foley is back! Surely you remember her as Eliza Valentine, one of the MWE originals, from back when the company was still known as Pride Pro. She made a comeback in 2019, winning the Battle Royale at Dark Web and the Riot Championship at Homecoming. After losing the gold, she stepped away to heal from a back injury, and it looked like she was enjoying her early retirement and her family.. And yet, here she is, once again in the ring with the same fire and intensity as always.
The screen anticipates the next award, it's for the Match Of The Year.
Amy Maynard:
I must admit, I had to look at this, I couldn't wait... There have been so many incredible matches, it was so hard to pick the best. And you could tell that from the results, it was such a close race. The last match of Tiff Rollins in MWE. against Anastasia Starling at Big In Japan, The Inferno Match between Grimes and Starling for the Cloud Gate championship, which turned out to be Anastasia's final match in the company. The Iron Man match between Duke Andrews and Hammerstein for the Locdown championship and the Hell In A Cell between Durden and Iser at Coup De Grâce.. All those are close seconds, but the winner, the one that trumped them all is...
She lets the pause last longer this time, before announcing.
Amy Maynard:
The Ambulance Match between Donovan Keane and Asher Miles at Dark Web II! We'll see Donnie later tonight, or actually Ambra will as she will be commenting the main event of the night with the Nightfall Rising member. Congratulations to both him and Asher for winning this prestigious prize. But right now, let's focus on the next match. Who's going to be the fourth entrant in the Chamber match?
We cut to a dark, quiet room. There’s silence until a shattering sound is heard and then the lights turn on. On the floor are broken light tubes and just above them are a pair of boots, worn by a female. The camera pans up and standing there is Maeve Clarke, her light brown eyes glaring into the camera.
Maeve Clarke:
Nina, Nina, Nina… I told you I’d come for you, didn’t I?
A smirk runs across her face as he holds up a light tube and spins it around in her hand.
Maeve Clarke:
I’m not going to lie, I did sign up for this for the opportunity it presents but I also signed up for the chance of meeting you in the ring and tonight? Tonight, I finally get to shut you up and make you bleed. I’m going to enjoy it.
Maeve takes the light tube and smashes it to pieces on the ground before letting out a sick laugh.
Maeve Clarke:
That’s going to be going into your skin, Nina. Can you handle that? The shards of glass cutting and digging into you? You have no idea the life I led, the things I had to go through going up. These light tubes? They are child’s play to me. What are they to you, though? Hmm?
Clarke looks down at the shattered pieces of light tube on the ground and cackles.
Maeve Clarke:
Tonight is going to be great. And as for you, Bruce?
Maeve’s brow furrows.
Maeve Clarke:
I like you. You’re a nice guy but nice guys? They finish last. And if you get in my way? Don’t think that I won’t hesitate to take you out, along with Nina. You could be my family and I’d still put you down for stepping in my way. So tread lightly out there, okay? Because one wrong step? It could be your last.
Maeve’s eyes glared into the camera before it cut away.
Light Tubes Match
Credit Union 1 Arena @ UIC (4:00 PM CST)
Maeve Clarke VS Nina VS Bruce WangCredit Union 1 Arena @ UIC (4:00 PM CST)
Two sides of the ring had light tubes hanging on the ropes, more were scattered on the outside, ready to be used by the three wrestlers who were standing in the middle of the ring. MWE’s own Nina, an old acquaintance of the Millennium’s fans, Bruce Wang and Maeve Clarke. The Viper looked very cautious before the bell rang, her eyes darting between the two opponents, studying their every move. Well aware of the friendship between the two of them, she feared that they’d team up against her. A well-founded fear since they both stepped in her direction as soon as the bell rang. But Nina was one step ahead, quick to roll out of the ring and pick up two light tubes, one for each hand. Maeve was taunting her to get back in the ring, sitting on the middle rope to hold them open for her former friend. It was a distraction to allow Bruce to blindside her, but things didn’t go as planned since Nina saw the Korean charging at her and swung with the light tube, breaking it on Bruce’s stomach. Down to his knee he went, his hands pressing against that cut on his abdomen provoked by the ever dangerous light tube. Since her plan failed, Maeve moved away from the ropes or tried to, but Nina was able to grab her foot and trip her over. She then dragged her on the outside, using the second tube to swing at her back. A small shard stuck into the young woman’s skin, right under the shoulder blade. She groaned in pain, a trickle of blood climbing down her back. That didn’t stop Nina who wrapped her arms around Maeve’s waist and sent her flying with a german suplex, barely missing a stack of tubes by inches. Clarke slowly picked herself up and as soon as she did she got hit by a running knee from the Snakebite and fell backward on the same ple of tubes she missed moments ago. Nina let out a huge roar, firing herself up and getting a great response from the Chicago fans. A clothesline from behind from Bruce interrupted her celebration. Wang took the match back in the ring, making it look like an actual wrestling match for a few minutes. He tried a cover after a ripcord sideslam, but the former intern had still a lot left in the tank and kicked out in two. Bruce’s kicks kept the Viper at bay, forcing her into the corner. Maeve finally came back into the match, sliding in from the opposite side of the ring and yelling at Wang to move out of the way. As he did she crashed at full speed and jumped bringing both feet to Nina’s face with a corner dropkick. The Chicago born went down face first, a furious Maeve started stomping the back of her head viciously before dragging her limp body up and throwing her head first through the tubes positioned on the ropes. Four or five of them exploded in thousands shards as Nina went through them and landed on the hard floor outside. As the camera zoomed onto them, she wasn’t moving at all, blood gushing out profusely from several cuts on her and face. Now that Nina was out and done for, Maeve and Bruce were settling this between them. They even quickly shook hands before starting to move in circles and lock up. A few holds later Maeve had Bruce in a wrist lock, twisting his arm a bit before she whipped him against the ropes, aiming at one of the sides with the light tubes. Wang was able to slow down and stop inches away from disaster, turning 180° to stop the charging Maeve with a kick to the face. He took her down with a sling blade and waited for her to stand up to connect his bridging tiger suplex. Maeve kicked out in two and tried to take back control, slipping away from his grip when he lifted her for the Roll Credits and pushing him against the ropes. Wang bounced back and went for a clothesline, but Clarke ducked it and sprinted at the ropes, hitting them after a handspring and catching Wang with the Romanian Cutter. She hooked the leg, but Nina made the save. Bleeding and panting, the Chicago born threw a couple of insults at Maeve who got in her face only to get taken down by The Fang, a one finger takedown Systema technique taught to her by Yulia Kirilenko. Wang missed with his right hook as Nina’s incredible reflexes came into play, and the former MWE intern lunged in with the Viper Sting (Fedor punch). She tried to take revenge on Maeve by giving her a taste of the same medicine, but Wang stopped her from launching the romanian through the tubes. Nina put up an incredible fight, considering this looked like a two on one match for long moments. She even came very close to a shocking win when she connected her wrist lock side kick on Maeve, lifting her over her shoulders in a fireman’s carry position and dropping her on the mat, following with an elbow drop to the sternum. Once again Bruce kept the match alive, smashing another tube on her head. Nina turned around, looking more annoyed than hurt by this shot and she delivered a volley of kicks to Bruce. He fired back, the two went on trading kicks and counters for a couple of minutes but then Nina had had enough and hit him low. The poor Wang fell on his knees, clutching his crotch. She finished him off with the Snakebite, her patented axe kick but Maeve prevented her from reaping the fruits of her finishing maneuver by hitting her own. The Intoxication hit out of the blue, the running single leg high knee catching Nina right on the face. Clarke dropped down and made the cover on her rival, obtaining the win and the access to the elimination chamber. WINNER: Maeve Clarke BY: Pinfall (Intoxication), 18:46 |
Amy Maynard:
We saw who the best of the year were, and now it's time to predict who's going to make 2021 their year. It could be someone who, for one reason or another, didn't express all their potential this year, or a young talent who only just started, or a veteran ready to show they still "got it"... Ultimately, who's the One To Watch?
Mia hands on of the three remaing envelopes to her mom. Amy quickly opens it, pull out the card and fails to hide the surprise on her face.
Amy Maynard:
Hard to disagree with this one, the winner surely has all the tools to impose themselves on the roster. And nobody can argue that. He's been a champion elsewhere, namely in Underground, and according to the fans BROOKFORD will finally get that same success in MWE as well. We'll see if this prediction comes true!

Steel Cage Match
Flames Athletic Center @ UIC (4:00 PM CST)
Alan Envy VS Erik Malone VS Andrew WilkowFlames Athletic Center @ UIC (4:00 PM CST)
The cage had just been lowered and Alan was already at Wilkow’s throat, literally. Grabbing his hand with one hand, he pushed the Sandstorm Inc member across the cage, using his left hand to punch him on the ribs while he tried to choke him. It didn’t take Andrew too long to break free by hitting his arm with a clubbing blow and forcing him to let go of his throat. A quick flurry of strikes pushed Envy back to the middle of the ring, and then came Malone interrupting the brawl between the two with a double dropkick that took both men down. Rather than letting the two of them wear each other down and pick up the scraps, Malone threw himself into the fight, delivering kicks to both Alan and Drew in equal measure. If Wilkow found himself on the receiving end of a flurry of stiff kicks to the ribs, Alan wasn’t that lucky as Erik’s twisting mule kick caught him, with pinpoint precision, right on the crotch. As the Lonestar doubled over, holding onto his nethers, Erik climbed the turnbuckle and jumped off with a legdrop to the back of the Show Stealer’s neck. He missed the chance to capitalize on that big move as Wilkow came back and launched him against the cage, so that he could focus on dismantling Alan with some vicious stomps. What Wilkow didn’t realize was that the Glitch clung onto the cage and started climbing up, looking to escape. It was the fans’ cheers that drew his attention on Malone, already halfway to the top. If his climbing was quick, his descent was even faster, assuming the form of a massive powerbomb that left him writhing in pain. Alan rocked Wilkow with a big boot to the side of the head before he could make the cover, sending the VP of Sandstorm Inc against the fence, hoisting him up on his shoulder and driving him down with a death valley driver. Andrew raised his shoulder up before the three. If Wilkow and Envy were mostly focused on one another, Malone made sure they didn’t forget about him, taking any chance he had to meddle in their business and take advantage of the situation. Like when Wilkow stunned Alan with a series of rapid fire headbutts, leaving him standing groggily in front of him, perfectly placed for the Lariaaaaaat. And he would have hit it, and probably won the match with it if Erik didn’t catch him with a double-knee backbreaker. The son of the former MWE star Gray Malone dropped more knees on Andrew’s head, stopping only when he saw Envy back to his feet. Then he charged at the former Tag Team champion, drilling him with a satellite ddt. With both opponents down, Erik tried to make the cover on Alan, but his attempt was frustrated by Wilkow stomping him on the spine. Devin Hearst’s right hand seemed to have had enough of the Glitch, and spent the following minutes trying to break him in half with a variety of backbreakers. Alan was taking a break in the corner, wisely using this time to recover and limiting himself to passively watch the destruction Wilkow was causing on Erik. Drew decided to pain the other half of Malone’s face red, grinding it against the cage wall. He didn’t take pity in his cries of pain, he didn’t stop when blood began pouring down his cheek. Ruthlessly, he walked and dragged his face around the entire side of the cage, adding a running big boot to end it all. Malone was down, but a prompt intervention from Envy saved the match. Alan was in full control. That break he took while Andrew manhandled Erik allowed him to get to this part of the match with more fuel in his tank than his opponent. Wilkow, in fact, was the only one left on his feet after Alan killed what was left of Erik’s fighting spirit with a gourdbuster. After removing the protective padding from the turnbuckle, he walked to the opposite corner where Wilkow was standing and fired some knife edge chops and uppercuts before tossing him back first against the exposed turnbuckle across the ring. The impact caused Andrew to groan in pain and stumble out of the corner, right into a kick to the stomach from Envy who then dropped him on his head with his own version of Constantine’s American Strong Piledriver. Andrew managed to kick out just in the nick of time, which caused Alan to snap. Popping back to his feet, the Lonestar started stomping him furiously. Wilkow rolled out of the way, grabbing the cage to pick himself up but Alan was once again on the attack with a clubbing blow to the back of the neck. A stiff back elbow from Andrew put some distance between them and left Envy checking his teeth, buying him valuable seconds. And then he came with another Lariaaaaaaaat! attempt, this one barely ducked by the Texan who then kicked the Appalachian Mountain Monster on the back of the knee, chopping him down and setting him up for a running bulldog that planted him on his face for another near fall. The injuries of the brutal attack suffered one week ago eventually caught up with Envy, who suddenly found himself at the mercy of the Sandstorm goon. Wilkow was bashing his head against the exposed turnbuckle, a total of ten times. At the end of it, Alan’s face was covered in blood and the Lonestar was barely able to stand. Wilkow had a big grin on his face as he dragged the former Tag Team champion in the middle of the ring and connected the Country Roads jackknife powerbomb. Out of nowhere, Malone came flying and took the big man down with a blockbuster. Wilkow recovered rather quickly and got back to his feet, growling at the Glitch and trying to behead him with a clothesline. But Erik was on fire, God only knows where he found the strength after everything he’s been put through. A flurry of kicks and elbows reached the 35 years old, the last one being a roundhouse kick that turned off the lights for Wilkow. Erik then started to climb the cage, quickly reaching the top undisturbed. The fans cheered as he stepped over the top edge, ready to drop on the outside and win the match. He took a moment to take in the view from the top, the cheering fans, the carnage inside the ring, Wilkow still laying on his back… There was a glimpse in his eyes, and he stood up to his feet, perfectly balancing on the edge of the cage. He brought his hands to his chest and closed his eyes, leaping inside the ring with a daredevil coffin drop. The Over The Rainbow, as he called it, landed perfectly on top of Wilkow, and the referee made the count for the one, two, three. WINNER: Erik Malone BY: Pinfall (Over The Rainbow), 23:16 |
Back in the studio, Amy greets the audience with her genuine smile.
Amy Maynard:
Call him eccentric, weird, reckless... But Erik Malone knows how to get the job done, and he proved it tonight qualifying for the final at the expense of Alan Envy and Andrew Wilkow. And according to the reaction the fans had, he definitely stole a few hearts here tonight.
Second to last award. Amy grabs the envelope that reads "Face Of The Year".
Amy Maynard:
But it's now time to find out who left the deepest mark on the fans' hearts. I think I know who this awards will go to, it's hard to ignore how they have been able to capture everyone's attention, how deeply they connected with the fanbase. We got knocked down and pulled up again every time it happened to them, we walked with them through the ebbs and flows, we suffered for every loss and rejoiced for their wins.
The smile on her face clearly indicates that the winner is the wrestler she was thinking about.
Amy Maynard:
Kelsey Spencer, of course.
The smile quickly fades.
Amy Maynard:
At this point, i have to unfortunately confirm the rumors that started circulating since Coupe De Grâce. Kelsey Spencer hung up the boots.
A pause to let that sink in.
Amy Maynard:
Granted, the experience tells us that "never" assumes a different meaning in this industry, but as of today, the former World Champion has no intention to come back to the ring, not in MWE, not anywhere. As a company...
She reads now the official statement.
Amy Maynard:
We must regretfully take note of Kelsey's decision. Effective immediately, her contract with MWE is dissolved. We wish her our best for the next part of her life. Thank you for everything, Kelsey Spencer.
And on that the show cuts to the next match.

Tables, Ladders and barbwire chairs, oh my!
Walking into the frame now is Chris Night, IYH Proving Grounds Champion and the owner of Nightfall gym. He has a ladder in hand that he soon sets up in front of him. He then stands beside it and taps one of the steps and smiles.
Chris Night:
Ladders. They are my speciality, you know? And then when you add tables and barbwire chairs? Woo, it gets even better!
Night nods.
Chris Night:
What a crazy match this is going to be and then it’s followed by an Elimination Chamber if you win? I’ve gotta say, we’re going to be feeling this one for weeks. As for this match? It seems like Millennium threw the older folks in this one together. Ahalya is an accomplished vet and while she’s been away from the ring for a few years? I don’t expect her to miss a step. I’ve dealt with her in the ring before and let me tell you, she takes no prisoners.
Chris chuckles and shakes his head.
Chris Night:
But despite our differing pasts? I have so much respect for her. She brings 100% when she’s in that ring and then when you give her a weapon? Oh man, it’s going to be intense. I expect her to try and take me out because, well, I’m going to do the same. I want this opportunity to have a shot at any MWE championship. That’s huge.
He nods.
Chris Night:
Speaking of huge, I hear my other opponent, Karen Eldon, has a huge issue with this match being a hardcore match type. Even though that’s what this entire event is. Are you really going to complain about that?
Night scoffs and shakes his head before tapping the ladder.
Chris Night:
Don’t worry, I’ll slap you a couple of times with this ladder and maybe it’ll knock some sense into you. And if you think that Ahalya and I need to form an alliance to take you down?
Chris laughs and rolls his eyes.
Chris Night:
You are highly mistaken. Creating an alliance to gain an advantage in a match is something that neither Ahalya or myself would do anyway. You’re clearly delusional though. Keep those delusions though because they’re going to be your downfall. You truly don’t know what Ahalya is about or me. Which shows you did no research. Which shows that you’re out of your league. This match? When it’s all said and done? It’s going to be either me or Lya. And let me tell ya, I plan on it being me.
Chris nods his head before walking out of the frame and the scene cuts away.

Zooming in a parking garage of some undisclosed location, the wind seems to ruffle a breeze to emanate a brilliant blue light through the structure, a small singular white light begins to inhabit the center of the frame as it approaches closer until finally it emerges into a starburst like motion nearly inhabiting the entire frame until a singular black boot places foot on the ground, followed by the lowering of a kickstand and the scene finally adjusts to the reveal a tall, slender frame of a woman, her chestnut colored hair falling down her backside before she turns casting an enigmatic smile.
Ahalya Patel:
Been a while wouldn’t you say?
A firm but coy look rested on her face even though her smile remained, a signature most would remember from her time in Pride Pro Wrestling, just as she turned to place her helmet on top of her bike she casted a glance to the side before looking back towards the camera lens.
Ahalya Patel:
Sad that not a Got Damn thing has changed. We’ve got Millennium Wrestling Enterprise now fully taken over a company I used to work for, they’re running a big game celebrating their Three Year Anniversary not long ago, and yet. . . still relying on the talents of their predecessors to pull them through. Can’t say I blame them really, as if on cue we bring about the card for Red Line 2. Hardcore matches all around Chicago for a chance at a championship of anyone’s choosing and a hefty cash prize. Then I see that the only Millennium Talent I get to face is a Karen.
She smirked at that, gingerly bringing her fingers up to brush through her hair before turning the headlight of her motorcycle off and carrying forward.
Ahalya Patel:
Obvious jokes aside, she’s cute . . . I’ll give her that. Playing the cards like she didn’t know that there was a possibility for barbed wire in this situation and how she’s worried about her personal safety on a show that’s all about hardcore matches.
Ahalya would laugh.
Ahalya Patel:
I’ve been out the game a while, but even I know the ish. Hardcore means you’re already risking your body, but really it wouldn’t matter anyways Karen, because you’ve got the unfortunate task of entering the ring with me. One of the baddest to have ever walked into a wrestling ring. I don’t play menial games when I am looking to beat that ass and even if weapons weren’t available for me, these hands got more than enough capability to knock you the fuck out with just a swing, but seeing is believing right?
A steady walk continued as she relayed her message further.
Ahalya Patel:
Can’t say I’ve ever admired anyone who automatically wants to have a backup waiting in the wings for them either, but that tells me all I need to know about your confidence level. You should’ve stuck with having a cold because at least then you would’ve had some dignity to fall back on, but I’ve never minded a quitter. Go ahead and forfeit now and leave the match to me and Chris Night. It’ll be better for your health.
A laugh emanated from her then, now moving on to the subject of Chris, a completely different tale it would seem.
Ahalya Patel:
Now on to El Savior himself. Nice to see he hasn’t gotten rid of that hero complex in the five years I’ve been out the scene, but hey I guess if you have something stick with it. Chris knows all about what to expect when it comes to a match with me, we may’ve never crossed paths in the ring, but he damn sure knows the path of destruction I’ve left to everyone whose ever stepped up and tried to get a dub in my regime. They didn’t call me the Indian Queen just because I proclaim to wear a crown, isn’t that right Chrissy?
She paused thoughtfully before halting in her progression, now gripping at the sides of her jacket and pulling up a hood that was hidden beneath her mess of hair.
Ahalya Patel:
Five years changes a lot about a person though, despite being the fighting machine that I am, a lot has developed within me personally and the fighter you knew before? She’s only grown with intensity. So while you may think you’ve seen exactly what it is the Indian Sensation is capable of, you’ve yet to see what lies in wait for you in this Lioness den. I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to surface again, waiting for the right time and the right event, and in this match here? Its time to show you just who the fuck Ahalya Patel is yet again. Its time to spill red, and win that prize.
A sadistic grin crossed her face then as she looked to be entering the place where her match would begin.
Ahalya Patel:
Chalo chalate hain!
She would utter before stepping in, ready to swing.

Tables, Ladders & Barbwire Chairs Match
McGrath-Philips Arena @ DePaul University (4:00 PM CST)
Chris Night VS Karen Eldon VS Ahalya PatelMcGrath-Philips Arena @ DePaul University (4:00 PM CST)
Tables, ladders and barbed wire wrapped chairs were perfectly legal in the last qualifying match of Red Line two. The first competitor to score a pinfall or submission will enter the chamber for a shot at a title of their choosing and a cash prize. Entering this match were MWE’s own Karen Eldon, the IYHWF star and multi-time champion Chris Night and the returning Ahalya Patel, former Pride Pro tag team champion. Karen immediately left the ring stepping out of the fight while Chris and Patel locked up. They jockeyed for position delighting the fans with an unexpected technical exchange that kinda looked out of place in a match like this. Karen interrupted her with a chair shot to Chirs’ back, the edges of the barbed wire cutting through his skin and drawing blood already, a little over a minute into the match. Karen? She seemed to have enjoyed it, that fear she showed in the days prior to the event seemed to be gone now that the weapon was in her hand. She swung the chair at Ahalya as well, but the indian ducked the shot and kicked her hard on the spine. Karen really felt it, arching her back in pain, but she quickly spun around and went for another blow, this time a downward swing. Ahlaya dodged it with a backflip, leaving nothing but the canvas for the chair to hit. The backlash caused Karen to lose her grip on the chair that was now laying on the mat unattended. Chris Night sneaked up on Eldon and drove her face onto the chair with a bulldog. Luckily for Karen she managed to bring her arms to protect her face, limiting the damage taken. The intensity of the match picked up immediately, the bar of violence kept rising as more weapons were brought into the ring. Like the ladder Chris introduced, holding it horizontally in front of himself and used as a battering ram to knock both opponents down. Ahlaya was suplexed onto it, but when Night made the cover it was broken up by Karen. The blonde woman then threw Chris through the ropes and out of the ring, looking to take advantage of the worn out opponent. She swung in with a punch, but Ahalya blocked it, keeping control of her arm as she slid behind her back, gripping the throat area under the chin. Lowering her hips, she pulled forward on her hold and rolled her backwards on her back, sending her flying with the back throw. Karen landed chest first on the ladder, eating a springboard 450 from the returning Night. After landing the spectacular move, Chris got up to his feet and almost ate a kick from Patel. He managed to block it and quickly connect a step-over spinning wheel kick, knocking the Femina down. He took a step back, kicked the ladder out of the way and performed a rolling thunder, only obtaining a two count. Karen was in great difficulty now, the cuts on her arms from the first part of the match were the least of her problems. She barely kicked out from Ahalya superkick, and the Queen Of India had to save her from Chris’ Lights Out. Her lack of experience, more so in a match like this, was something the opponents were exploiting, quickly wearing her down. With Ahalya out of the equation, Karen was leaning against a table set up against the corner, with Chris ready to strike with the next move. But Eldon had an ace up her sleeve, one she didn’t even try to hide, her son Clyde Jr. CEJ entered the ring, catching Chris’ attention with a yelled “Happy Birthday Asshole.” As Night turned around, Clyde charged at full speed with the For You Dad spear, driving the man through the table as Karen moved out of the way at the very last second, Patel was back in the ring, finding herself in front of both members of the fastest rising team in MWE. She fought valiantly, trying to fend them off with her kicks. But the number games had the best of her and Ahalya fell victim of the Stimulus Check double ddt on the chair. It seemed over for Patel, but somehow she kicked out in time. With Clyde now helping her mother full time, Chris and Ahalya had to put their differences and pride aside to take care of Karen and her son. Teamwork makes the dream work as they say and the pair was able to put Clyde through a table with a double superplex, and focus then on his mother. Finding herself on the receiving end of a two-on-one assault, Karen had to raise the white flag after a rear leg front kick/Sweet Dreams combination. And it was down to Chris and Ahalya in the final moments, the Indian getting the advantage until a Lights Out from nowhere changed the momentum of the match. Usually this would set up for the Nightfall Splash, a combination that had proven to be very successful in the past for Chris. Maybe it was the stage, maybe the level of the competitor who had proven throughout the over 25 minutes of this match to be incredibly resilient. But Night decided to take things a step further, or further up. He brought in a ladder, climbing to the top and taking flight with the five star frog splash.A steel chair wrapped in barbed wire caught him on his way down, tossed by Karen with surgical precision. Crash and burn for Chris Night, the high risk paid no reward as he fell on the canvas, not too far from Ahalya who was now up to her feet. Karen had taken back possession of the chair and was ready to hit the Queen Of India with it, but Patel was faster than her, hitting her patented En Femina (540 Kick) onto the chair driving it on Karen’s head. And then she made the cover, finally ending the match after almost half an hour. WINNER: Ahalya Patel BY: Pinfall (En Femina), 28:34 |
Amy Maynard:
This is the end, ladies and gentlemen. We saw six brutal matches, we discovered who enters the Elimination Chamber, we even know the entrance order.. But before leaving you to the main event of Red Line two, we have one last award to assign.
The last envelope is open by the commentator.
Amy Maynard:
If Kelsey Spencer was the most lover, who is her counterpart? Who's the superstar everyone loves to hate? Who's the one that, everytime they show up on the screen, makes you beg for someone to kick their rear?
Mia Maynard:
Echo!
Amy couldn't help but laugh at her daughter's remark.
Amy Maynard:
She received a few votes, I can tell you that. But she's not the Heel Of The Year, that goes to Chris Constantine Junior!
The leader of APE, until he turned his back on them to join Sandstorm Inc. MWE's 2020 is punctuated by CCJ's nefarious actions, and the short clip could only show us a few of them.
Amy Maynard:
And this is all, ladies and gentlemen. It's main event time, the Elimination Chamber to determine the winner of Red Line 2! We at MWE wish you all a Happy New Year, see youn on January 10th for the first episode of Riot! Good night everyone!

Elimination Chamber Match
Enterprise Arena (9:00 PM CST)
Ahalya Patel VS Erik Malone VS Julia Braddock VS Enterprise Arena (9:00 PM CST)
Eliza Foley VS Dustin Douglas VS Maeve Clarke
Ambra Monroe: “Good evening MWE fans and welcome to the main event of Red Line 2, the final event of this 2020. Joining me here at commentary tonight is a special guest, the MWE stars and former UG Bloodlust Champion Donovan Keane!” Donovan Keane: “It’s a pleasure to be here tonight, Ambra. Did you see those qualifying matches? Wow, I’m surprised some of them are even able to stand on their feet after that…” Ambra Monroe: “Well you know a thing of two about brutal matches, don’t you? Speaking of which congratulations on winning the Match Of The Year award, Donnie.” Donovan Keane: “Ha! Thank you Ambra. You know, it’s a big honor to receive a prize like that, but at the same time it makes you think… Y’all voted your favorite match a contest where I got run over by an ambulance… Y’all tryna telling me something here?” Ambra Monroe: “Haha, I don’t think that’s what they meant. So, who’s your favorite to win here tonight?” Donovan Keane: “Tough question here Ambra… Sorry if i don’t call you by your last name, I’m sure you understand why…” Ambra Monroe: “Yeah, no problem. Suit yourself.” Donovan Keane: “Anyway, to answer your question, I hate to say it but I gotta go with the Murder Train tonight. He’s a big guy, it’s gonna be hard to take him down. And he’s entering last, I think?” Ambra Monroe: “Second to last, but I guess it makes a minimum difference. You’re definitely making a good point, he’s surely one to keep your eyes on. Anyway, enough talk, let the match start!” Two guests kicked off the Elimination Chamber, Ahalya Patel and Erik Malone. The Queen Of India had still visible on her back the signs of those barbed wire chair shots she received a few hours ago, covered by some bandages. Erik redid his facepaint before entering the chamber, but that cut on the side of the head was a weak point the opponents would surely target throughout the match. They started off slow, not wanting to burn too much energy in the opening minutes of a contest that could possibly last well longer than the already wasteful matches they had in the afternoon. And sure as hell they kept themselves away from the walls and the steel floor, pacing the ring and testing the waters with some kicks to the legs or mid section, trying to take the opponent out of the tight guard. Donovan Keane: “Can’t blame them for taking it easy, this is a marathon and you don’t wanna run out of gas before the last person entered.” Ambra Monroe: “Or open yourself to the attacks and get eliminated early.” Donovan Keane: “Yeah, that too.” It didn’t mean they wouldn’t try, especially Malone who tried to add some unpredictability to his striking combination with kicks and elbows in addition to the swift kicks. A few of them landed, but Ahalya didn’t seem too bothered, overall managing to stay out of reach, dodging and ducking the Glitch’s offense. Or block them, like she did to his overhand punch, setting him up for the same Back Throw we saw her perform in the qualifying match. Unlike Karen though, Erik landed on his feet much to Patel’s surprise. Before she could react to it, Malone performed a dropsault that sent the indian in the corner, where he followed up with the jumping knee/bulldog combination. He kipped up to his feet and reached the corner, jumping up to the top rope and turning to face Ahalya, waiting for her to get up and then leaping with a crossbody. The Femina caught him with a kick, knocking him down and almost eliminating him. Ambra Monroe: “That was a close one for Malone.” Donovan Keane: “I spent the past five minutes saying how smart it is to keep a slow pace and don’t take unnecessary risks and then there was Erik…” Nothing noteworthy happened, the two kept fighting without pushing too much on the gas until one of the pods opened and Julia Braddock entered the ring. The pace immediately picked up, the Kensington Knockout wasn’t playing hide and seek and she would rather clean the ring from some competition as soon as possible. She darted across the ring and took Ahalya down with a clothesline, doubling Erik over with a back kick. She then hit the ropes to deliver a scissors kick to the bent down Malone, knocking him on the mat. She rolled him on his back for a pinfall attempt but couldn’t go any further than a two count. As she made it up to her feet, she ate a rear leg front kick from Ahalya. Ambra Monroe: “Three competitors in now, three still in the pods.” Donovan Keane: “And next in line is Eliza... That woman is dangerous as it is, but you put her in a match like this, that’s a true game changer.” They still had a few minutes before the former Riot champion would enter the contest, minutes Erik was spending resting in the corner while Braddock was controlling the match, trying to put Patel down with a dragon sleeper. With no one to save her nor rope breaks, the Queen Of India had to do her best to escape, eventually succeeding in the end. It took a lot out of her though, and her opponents looked to capitalize with a double superkick. Ahalya went down and Erik made the cover, only getting a two count. Patel rolled under the bottom rope, Braddock was about to follow her but she was blindsided by Malone who hit her with his Toodles (snap dragon suplex). He floated into a cover, hooking both legs too but it wasn’t enough to keep the Kensington Knockout down. And then the buzzer sounded, another pod opened. Ambra Monroe: “Here comes your game changer, Donnie.” Eliza Foley wasted absolutely no time, going straight for Erik and throwing the glitch over the top rope. Malone didn’t even have time to realize what hit him that Foley was right back on the attack, picking him up and hooking both arms in a double underhook. He dropped on his knee to block the ddt attempt, but Eliza beat his resistance with a couple of hard knees to the face. And then she did it, she lifted him and planted his face down on the steel floor. Donovan Keane: “This is what I meant. They’ve been playing nice until now, but the Mysterious Girl has other plans.” Ambra Monroe: “And what an impact it would be for her. Coming back after over a year, win a tournament like this and earn a shot at any title!” Donovan Keane: “She could straight up challenge Devin Hearst, the man who ended her reign as the Riot champion.” Erik kicked out in two, barely. But he seemed at the mercy of the first ever Millennium champion, the old wound on his head once again bleeding. On the opposite side of the chamber Ahalya and Julia were still battling. Braddock sent Patel against Dustin’s pod with an irish whip, using her full force. The Femina hit the structure hard, falling backward onto the steel floor. But the tremendous impact wasn’t enough to keep her down. Ahalya’s reaction was immediate, the indian was far from done and her hard knees to the ribs were causing more than some troubles to the brit. Eliza was smashing Erik’s head on the plexiglass surrounding Maeve, taunting and challenging the GEW star. Malone planted his foot on the pod and blocked the last attempt, hitting the Mysterious Woman with an elbow to the guts before returning the courtesy in spades. And then it happened… Ambra Monroe: “Fifth man is in, and still no eliminations!” Donovan Keane: “Something tells me this is about to change, Ambra. The fucking Murder Train is in!” Douglas left his pod and took both Ahalya and Braddock down with a double clothesline. The indian then flew back into the ring with a Biel toss, while the Kensington Knockout wasn’t that lucky. Dusty rained down stiff punches on her, launching her against the unforgiving structure. Three minutes of hell for the sister of the Best In The World, who was suplexed on the steel pavement multiple times, with different variations to highlight Douglas’ fine technique. Eventually the big man ended her suffering with the Giga Impact, scoring the first elimination. Ambra Monroe: “Looks like you were right, Braddock is the first victim of the Elimination Chamber.” Donovan Keane: “She might be in good company soon…” Eliza Foley was down, bleeding from her head after a brainbuster on the outside. Or maybe it was the close encounter she had with the chamber’s wall a moment earlier, hard to tell really. Point is, she was down, probably out. Erik could have made the cover and scored the prestigious elimination, but the Glitch was about to steal the show. Hard to tell what went through his mind, why he was doing what he was doing. But there he was, telling Maeve “See you on the other side of the rainbow, luv” and jumping to grab the edge of her pod, pulling himself up and looking at the opponent laying on the floor down. Donovan Keane: “What the fuck is that lunatic doing?” Ambra Monroe: “He can’t be thinking..:” Donovan Keane: “Of course he’s not thinking, what are you talking about? If he did, he’d realize that this is the dumbest idea he could come up with!” But he still did it. He still leaped off the pod and for the Over The Rainbow coffin drop. Finding nobody home. Ambra Monroe: “Oh dear Lord…” Eliza rolled out of the way, still too weakened to move. Erik wasn’t moving either, unless you consider him writhing in pain as moving. But there was someone ready to capitalize on it, Ahalya Patel. She quickly left the ring after getting rid of the Big Nasty with a kick to the balls and awed the fans with the Ode To Holkar (butterfly twists into splits), landing with her leg across Erik’s chest after a spectacular rotation. Donovan Keane: “I’m gonna need to watch the replay because I have no idea what the fuck just happened but that… Whatever it may be… That was awesome.” Ambra Monroe: “Two eliminations, three competitors in the ring and one who has yet to enter. Brace yourself, people. The best is yet to come.” Getting kicked down there is never pleasant for a man. And the last thing Ahalya and Eliza needed was a pissed off Dustin. But here they were, having to deal with almost 300 pounds of pure rage. Whether it was inside the ring or on the outside, the Murder Train kept dominating, throwing the two women around like they were ragdolls. Patel had the worst of it, getting tossed against Maeve’s pod so hard that she broke through the plexiglass. He went to pick her up, or maybe pin her there and then but Clarke darted out of it and took him down with a dropkick to the knee. Maeve started kicking him on the chest, ignoring the referee telling her that she wasn’t legally in the match yet. Donovan Keane: “Who cares if the pod hasn’t opened yet? Let the girl fight?” Ambra Monroe: “Eh, it’s not like it matters anymore now…” The buzzer sounded, and if there was still a door it would have opened now. But Maeve was already in, lightning up Dustin’s chest with those stiff kicks. She went for a roundhouse, but the Murder Train was able to duck it. He connected a tremendous jumping knee, stunning Maeve before throwing her away with an overhead belly to belly suplex. He went to pick up Ahalya who was still inside the pod, looking to put her down once and for all. From inside the ring Eliza hit him with a running dropkick that sent the Big Nasty against the steel structure. Donovan Keane: “That should cool the big man down… Or not.” Douglas barely felt it, going back inside the ring and targeting Foley with a flurry of palm strikes. The Mysterious Girl fought back at the best of her possibilities, not afraid to go for the eyes to buy herself some time and break the siege. A few kicks, a russian leg sweep against the turnbuckle. Those were the moves that she managed to connect, too little to be a problem for Dustin who answered with an Hyper Beam (spinning backfist) that floored Eliza. Ambra Monroe: “How in the world is Ahalya even walking?” Donovan Keane: “I have a better question, why is she going for Dustin of all people?” Quite frankly nobody could answer any of those questions. But there she was, using what energy she had left to try to take down the big man. She fished in her Kalari background, hitting the Big Nasty with a series of four jumping overhand strikes followed by as many low strikes, she even connected a double crescent kick, but none of this could keep the Murder Train down for the three. She went for a headscissors takedown but she got caught by Douglas who blocked her momentum and countered it with his running powerbomb, the King Kai bomb. Donovan Keane: “This ain’t working.. If there really is a way to stop the Murder Train, that’d be working together.” No sooner said than done, Maeve joined Foley in kicking the hell out of Douglas, and Patel added her contribution. Three opponents were too much, even for Dustin. Even when he got rid of Eliza with an exploder suplex, he still had to deal with Maeve and Ahalya. And if that wasn’t enough, the concrete chance to eliminate the biggest threat was the motivation Eliza needed to dig deep into herself and go back on the attack, despite the evident fatigue. The triple assault was giving its fruits, Dustin was falling under the women’s attacks. Ahalya’s rear leg front kick, Maeve’s Intoxication and Eliza’s Mysterious Girl were what it took to keep Dustin down for a count of three. Ambra Monroe: “The Sandstorm Inc. monster has been defeated!! The streak is over!” Donovan Keane: “The match is not though.. Watch out for Maeve!” Clarke surprised an exhausted Patel with a simple schoolboy pin, enough to score a quick elimination. Ambra Monroe: “It’s down to two! Eliza Foley versus Maeve Clarke!” Foley was exhausted. How much more punishment could her body take? This was her second match in over a year spent recovering from the back injuries that were afflicting her. The first match was just a few hours ago, and it was the hardest welcome back she could have imagined. This Elimination Chamber has seen her bleeding, getting dropped on the steel, both on her head and back. And she’s been wrestling in it for more than twenty minutes now. Maeve was slightly in better shape, enough to charge at the opponent and clothesline her over the top rope. Another hard landing on the steel for Foley, one she would have gladly avoided, just like she didn’t need the romanian flying over the top rope and landing on top of her with a slingshot senton. Clarke hooked the leg, already feeling the cash prize and the title shot in her pocket, but Eliza said “not so soon.” Donovan Keane: “Regardless of what the outcome of this match will be, the message sent by Eliza tonight is loud and clear. She’s back, and better than ever.” And most importantly, she won’t stay down. She kicked out from the pendulum clothesline and the hurricanrana driver on the steel platform. Maeve’s frustration was evident at this point, the high-flier looked up at the top of the pod, thinking for a moment to climb up for her Maeven five star frog splash. But the fate suffered by Erik earlier in the match made her second guess it. She almost paid for that slight hesitation, getting caught by an inside cradle from the former Riot champion, from which she managed to escape at the very last moment. Both competitors were back to their feet, Foley swinging and missing with the right hand opening herself to a kick to the stomach. Maeve lifted her and looked to end things with a brainbuster but Eliza slipped away. Donovan Keane: “Mysterious Girl! On the steel!” Ambra Monroe: “Maeve isn’t moving!” Neither was Eliza, at least at first. She then managed to drag herself on top of Clarke, the referee moved in position and counted the three.
