The Basketball Court
October 30th
2:35 PM
It's a chilly afternoon in Chicago, Illinois, the sun have not been out all day, the skies are completely overcast with a sheet of grey clouds, giving a depressed feel for the day. It's around 2:35 pm and a shirtless Dez Ali (wearing a black Under Armour basketball shorts, the shorts is lowered just enough revealing a white Calvin Klein underwear, and Jordan's Retro 11 Space Jam basketball sneakers) with Beats over his head is seen playing ball on the court. Clearly the chilly weather isn't bothering the young twenty year old Ali. He first shoots a three it bounces off the rim, he rushes and is able to tip it into the basket. He bounces the ball when he notices his father and team leader Michael Ali (sporting a black t-shirt with a red, white and blue logo of Team Ali printed on the front, black UA sweat pants and black on black UA running sneakers) on the side looking at him. Dez ignores his father and continues playing ball. After a couple if minutes, a slightly sweaty Dez seem to have enough of his dad watching, this time applauding his performance. He walks up to his father, while taking the Beats off his ear, placing it around his neck.
Dez Ali:
Isn't there another kid you can stalk? Like maybe Olly?!

Michael smiles and nods his head.
Michael Ali:
Olly will get his share of stalking, but as of right now I'm focused on you.

Dez Ali:
The only focus I need, is here playing ball by myself.

Michael Ali:
It is a good stress reliever, but I need to talk to you privately in my office.

Dez Ali:
If it's about trading me to Team Strike, you got my attention.

Michael laughs and shakes his head.
Michael Ali:
Not a chance! I'm not trading you to Team Strike.
Not a chance! I'm not trading you to Team Strike.
Dez Ali:
Why the hell not?
Why the hell not?
Michael folds his arms as he looks at his son dead in the eyes.
Michael Ali:
I know your worth Dez. Sure you need to put a lot of work into your progress, but I'm your father and I know your worth. That's why you was my first selection of five students. That is why despite a disappointing first in-ring showing, you were hand picked to represent Team Ali, side by side Amelia Marx, and the result was you picked up the win for Team Ali bringing home the tag titles.

Dez Ali:
Bullshit!!!!! That's bullshit dad. Yeah I was selected first, you had no other choice. Last week, I wasn't hand picked, you were forced to call audible after Olly screwed things up. Olly was your hand picked candidate over me.

Michael Ali:
Is that what the hostility been about all this time. You're jealous over Olly?

Dez Ali:
Fuck you dad.....
Fuck you dad.....
As swift Dez cursing his dad came out his mouth, he received a swift hard slap from his father, causing Dez to stumble backwards.
Michael Ali:
Boy, you better watch that mouth of yours.

Dez Ali:
And then you went on Twitter giving Olly your imaginary MVP award. Like I said, f.....

His father makes a slight move towards Dez as is he was going to slap him again, an emotional Dez backs off, shakes his head walks off with his basketball. Meanwhile his dad pulls out his iPhone and makes a call.
Michael Ali:
Yeah it's me. .....You have to get him back on track. .....Yeah you got my consent.
Yeah it's me. .....You have to get him back on track. .....Yeah you got my consent.
A sound of thunder is heard as a light drizzle, begins to become slightly heavier as Michael rushes for cover, heading back into the facility.
The Yard
October 31st, 2020
3:13 PM
It was a sunny Tuesday afternoon in Chicago, the sun rays illuminating the beautiful features of Faith Savell. The Academy student was sitting on a bench in the schoolyard, enjoying a moment of calmness before the afternoon classes started.
Olly:
You called, princess?
Oliver Kennedy said while performing an ungainly and wry bow.
Olly:
How can I help you this time? Would you like a glass of water? Should I get your horse ready? Or perhaps you want me to brush your hair?
While his words were obviously ironic, he somehow managed to keep a serious tone. Faith opened her eyes to cast a withering look over him. She clucks her tongue and waves a hand at Olly.
Faith Savell:
Did you get my dry cleaning? My costume has to be PERFECT for my impending victory. I can’t just drop $20 at party city like the rest of these morons.
Olly:
Yes ma’am, I did exactly as you asked. Your costume is ready, I left it in the locker room, if you want to try it on.
The young man answers, taking a seat next to Faith. She makes a face at him before smiling and leaving her head back to catch some sun.
Faith Savell:
I think I’ve been pretty nice to you, considering all the awful things I could have made you do. You should hear some of the things The Kid wanted me to have you doing.
She pauses to run a hand through her hair and bask in her own kind nature.
Faith Savell:
But I think the humbling experience of being wrong and having to follow me around like a puppy, is pretty hefty punishment. I know if it was Me, I’d be pretty embarrassed right now.
Olly lets out a short chuckle, shaking his head.
Olly:
Oh, I bet The Kid had some great and mature ideas, like having me drink from the toilet or something…
He rolls his eyes and sighs.
Olly:
I’m not sure what people see in him, he’s just an overgrown child. As for me being embarrassed? Why would I? I actually enjoyed this week, I got to know you a little better, and when you don’t have that obnoxious hobbit around you’re not that bad...
She rolled her eyes right back at him.
Faith Savell:
He’s always super sweet to me, he knows that being close to me is something extremely special. I only surround myself with people who respect my posterity.
A small smile pulls at her lips and she gives him a cursory glance before flipping her hair back over her shoulder.
Faith Savell:
Not that bad? I’m a joy and you know it. Personally, I hate to be proven wrong so I WOULD be embarrassed to be shown up like you have been… I suppose that’s what makes us different.
Olly:
I can think of a few things that make us different.
He replied with a shrug of his shoulders.
Olly:
I don’t care about what others think of me. Kid, Ali… I bet they’re laughing at me and how I ended up in this situation. As if getting to spend time with you was a punishment at all.
There was a smile on his face, and for once it wasn’t that arrogant smirk that he usually flaunted.
Olly:
Anyway, the week is over, did you have any last duty to assign me?
His smile caught her off guard for a moment, matching it she then returns to the moment and smiles a little wider.
Faith Savell:
Actually, I do…
She leaned a little closer and whispered in his ear, then sat back again with another smile on her face.
Faith Savell:
Think you can handle that?
Olly:
Well, we’re about to find out, aren’t we?
Olly said with a smile, pushing himself up from his seat.
Olly:
I guess I’ll see you later in the ring then, princess.
Just as he did when he first got here, he greeted her with another bow and took leave from Faith. On the bench he was sitting, he left a small envelope. Curious, Faith picked it up and carefully opened it, a look of surprise immediately coming up on her face as she pulled out what was inside it. A VIP pass for the Three Year Anniversary show, issued to one Oliver Kennedy.
The Gym
October 31st
17:32
We are inside the gym, less than thirty minutes before the battle royal match. Trinity Thompson is dressed, as decided by the MWE fans who voted on Twitter as the DC superhero Raven. The costume is a work of art, perfect to the last detail. From the belt to the cape and armbands, it was clear she put a lot of effort to make her own costume, even in those accessories she will have to remove to compete. Not too far from them we can see The Kid pointing and winking at everyone who walks by him. He soon finds Trinity in the gym and flexed.
The Kid:
Yoooo Trinity!!! Have you seen my rocking costume!? It was $500!! I’m a freaking super saiyan!
The Kid acted like he was doing a kamehamaha wave when he suddenly heard a tear in his shirt.
The Kid:
OH MY GOD WHAT WAS THAT!?
Trinity Thompson:
Uh oh… Sounds like you just ripped your five hundred bucks costume… Let me give it a look…
She walked around The Kid, looking to see if there was any damage done.
Trinity Thompson:
Oh no… This is not looking good, Kid..
The young girl said, shaking her head at the big slash on his side that was revealing the skin under it.
Trinity Thompson:
Why the heck you didn’t buy one larger size? You can barely fit in!
He scoffs at the notion of another size.
The Kid:
Are you kidding me? I look RIPPED with this size on. Now help me fix it!!!
Trinity smiled, nodding her head.
Trinity Thompson:
Sure, give me a minute and I’ll get it fixed.
She skipped out of farming, coming back a moment later with a sewing kit.
Trinity Thompson:
Ok, raise your arm so I can work on it better.
Sitting on a chair, she looked up at him, needle already in hand.
Trinity Thompson:
Please, stay very still… I don’t want to accidentally poke you.
The Kid:
That’s what she said! … wait! No!
He sighs.
The Kid:
I messed the joke up!
He starts to move around too much like he didn’t hear her say not to move.
Trinity Thompson:
Oh God, stop squirming so much, I can’t work here!
Trinity huffed, putting down the needle.
Trinity Thompson:
Let’s try this again and please… Stop moving!
Patiently, she went back to work, patching up the costume at the best of her possibility. He surely didn’t make her job any simple, twisting and moving as he kept flexing for everyone who stepped in front of him. Until a high pitched scream broke the silence.
Trinity Thompson:
Oh my God… I’m so sorry!
She cried out, dropping the needle and bringing both hands to her mouth. The Kid was holding his side, cursing under his breath.
The Kid:
COCHINA!!!!
He stomped around like a little kid before finally pausing and taking a deep breath before exhaling.
The Kid:
I thought we were cool!!! Are you trying to kill me!? ?
Trinity Thompson:
It was an accident!
She seemed truly sorry for what just happened, somehow feeling guilty even though this was all Kid’s fault for not standing still as she asked.
Trinity Thompson:
Let me give it a look…
Her voice trembled, scared to have actually hurt her fellow student.
The Kid:
It’s fine.
He clears his throat as he tries to touch it out.
The Kid:
Just finish the job on the outfit.
He places his hands on his hips and stood there with his head held high as if he was Superman but there was also a tear in his eye.
The Kid:
Yup. I’m fine!
Trinity nodded, looking up at him.
Trinity Thompson:
Oakies. I’m almost done here, I just need one more minute.
She picked up the needle and went back to work.
Trinity Thompson:
I’m begging you, don’t move this time...
