Trinity Thompson
Thank you so much! I owe you one!
She gave Paul, that was the name of the middle aged man hired as caretaker here at The Academy, a quick hug. She was late, terribly late actually, on her first day of school. The invitation stated it clearly, the gate would remain open from 7:00 AM until nine o’clock and no admissions will be accepted beyond that time. He held the gate open for her, having seen the pint-sized girl running down the street carrying two heavy looking bags in her hands. He figured out she had to be the last missing student and let her in, a few seconds after the permitted terms. He even offered to take her baggage to the room she was assigned, allowing her to reach the other students.
Paul:
Yeah, yeah… Hurry up, the Principal's speech is about to start.
She nodded and flashed him a smile, repeating the directions he gave him to reach the gym under his breath.
Trinity Thompson:
At the end of the hallway turn right then l… Ouch!
As she turned around the corner, still mumbling the directions Paul gave her, she literally ran into another student of The Academy who was reaching the auditorium, knocking her down.
Trinity Thompson:
Ouch! I’m so sorry!
She said as she went to help the other girl to her feet.
Trinity Thompson:
I’m running late for the speech, Paul told me turn right then left… Or was it left then right? Gosh why I can’t remember?
Thank you so much! I owe you one!

Amelia Marx:
Are you freaking blind, stupid, or both?!
Amelia was sprawled all over the ground surrounded by a mess made up of her gear, some schoolwork and other miscellaneous items. A look of aggravation painted her face as she looked up at Trin. The podcast host slapped the girls hand away as she stood up on her own accord.
Amelia Marx:
Don’t you watch where you’re going? Or do you have your head too far up the janitors ass to pay attention. Geez.
Marx gathered her things in a quick manner running even later than she already was. She looked at Trin and squinted.
Amelia Marx:
Oh wait a minute. You’re that girl from twitter? The one who reached out yeah?
Trinity’s cheeks assumed a bright shade of red as Amelia scolded her. She lowered her eyes, mumbling “I’m sorry” over and over again. It wasn’t until Marx recognized her and she raised her glance that she realized this was the same girl she briefly interacted the day before.
Trinity Thompson:
You.. You’re Amelia, right? Gosh look at the mess I made, let me help you.
Without waiting for her reply she crouched and helped her retrieve her stuff. Once everything was picked up from the floor, she looked over at Amelia once again.
Trinity Thompson:
Yes, it’s me, Trinity. Can’t say our first encounter was how I planned it but I’m glad to meet you in person.
Amelia rolled her eyes and shook her head, snatching her things away from her fellow academy goer. After taking a second to make sure no one was watching, she step to Trinity face to face. Leaning in close, and with a smug shiteating grin, Amelia whispered to her.
Amelia Marx: If you’re as clumsy as you are in the ring as you are out of it. You’re NEVER going to be seen as competition. Loser.
Marx shoves Trinity with her free hand as she walks down to the locker room area to change, her Super wide smile on display for anyone who might be watching. Trinity was left there dumbfounded, not expecting that reaction from the girl who looked so friendly and kind in their first interaction on social media.
Trinity Thompson:
I’m not clumsy, I was distracted!
Her intention was to shout it out loud for Amelia to hear it. But it only came out of her lips as a whisper. She shook her head and picked up the phone she lost after the collision. Putting it into her pocket, she mumbled a barely audible Bitch and followed the hallway, heading to the auditorium.

In the early morning leaning up against a fence that is difficult to climb over even if someone desperately wanted to, there is a slender, tall, light skinned black woman leaning up against it. She looks over her shoulder, then refocuses back on the camera.
??:
Please, I could climb over this easily. Why would I deny each and every one of you from telling your whoever is close to you ten, twenty years from now where you were when you watched the progression of the next big... scratch that. Where you were when you saw The Original BAE Faizah Marshall go from fresh faced rookie to eventually megastar.
Faziah smiles for the camera.
Faizah Marshall:
First off, lets get a couple things straight. The name. What does BAE stand for? That word has been used in so many different ways over the years. People toss bae out there like they are throwing bread crumbs at pigeons. Lets clear up the misconception. BAE in reference to me means BEST AT EVERYTHING. I am the best wrestler. The best talker. The best looking. The best at every single relevant thing you could think of. I am the best climber. The fence means nothing. I am the best at picking up wrestling concepts. No one processes information better than me. I’m a prodigy. Life comes easy to the gifted. That’s all you need to know for now.
Faziah waves. Looks at the fence one more time. Then walks off to wherever she is heading for the day as the scene fades.

2:00 PM
Tiana Petrova-Hammond:
Again! Again! Again!
A deaf thud follows every word Tiana Petrova-Hammond, one of the ten students at The Academy screamed, dictating the tempo. Despite this being a Saturday afternoon, a day most students spend back home with their families, the New Yorker decided to remain in Chicago and pass it in what’s probably her natural environment, the gym. And she wasn’t the only one.
Trinity Thompson:
Can we take a break?
The youngest of the class cried out between the kicks she kept delivering to the focus mitts her friend was wearing.
Tiana Petrova-Hammond:
Oh...yeah, sorry, water break.
Her cheeks flushed a little, not being used to doing the instructing so much as the one in desperate need of a break. She dropped her hands, working on removing the mitts as she walked toward their waiting bottles.
Tiana Petrova-Hammond:
You’re doing great, though. Sorry if I’m pushing a little hard.[
Trin grabbed her bottle and avidly started drinking, even dropping some water on the MWE shirt she was wearing for training.
Trinity Thompson:
No… It’s okay..
Wiping her mouth with the back of her hand, she put down the now empty bottle and plopped down, sitting against the wall.
Trinity Thompson:
Do you really train like this every day?
She asked, trying to catch her breath, visibly proved by the intense regime Tiana put her through.
Tiana Petrova-Hammond:
Every day? I mean...I usually take Sundays to rest, but with it just being me out here, it’s not that fun….so…
She extended her still full bottle toward Trin, smiling.
Tiana Petrova-Hammond:
I think you might need this more than me. Are you just...like, completely new to all of this kinda stuff, or?
The young girl grabbed the bottle from her friend, thanking her with a soft smile before taking a, this time, short sip.
Trinity Thompson:
Not really new NEW… I began training at the beginning of the year, but then the gym I was going to closed because of the virus so… I mean, I always did my workouts almost every day, but it’s not the same thing I guess..
The tone of the voice lowered to a whisper as she spoke, and so did her glance, almost as if she was ashamed.
Trinity Thompson:
I suck that much?
She asked candidly, aware that her condition and preparation were far from the standard Tiana set in their first week here.
Tiana looked on in horror, her face going quite red while she shook her head rapidly
Tiana Petrova-Hammond:
No! I don’t think you suck, no, that’s not what I meant, I’m sorry. The opposite, really. You sure hit hard…
She dipped her gaze to the floor, sighing.
Tiana Petrova-Hammond:
You actually have good movement, your footwork. And half the battle is a desire to do better, which I mean...you’re here with me on a Saturday morning instead of like...doing literally anything else.
Trinity Thompson:
Not really… I don’t have much else to do, or another place I could go…
There was sadness in her voice, highlighted by the long sigh she let out.
Trinity Thompson:
But I like it here. And I thought I’d be here alone all weekend, it’s nice to see that’s not the case. I thought you were going home like everyone else. Why did you stay?
Realizing immediately how her question could have sounded a bit too intrusive, she quickly corrected herself.
Trinity Thompson:
I mean, I’m glad you’re here of course. It’s just.. I thought you’d like to go home after a week away from your family.
Tiana Petrova-Hammond:
Well...before I got here, I was working as a housekeeper, blew my savings to buy some less ratty gear for myself and set aside the rest to go into my little sisters Disney World fund...so uh..you add that to how messed up everything is? Traveling for now is a no go.
She shrugged her shoulders with a small laugh, almost a squeak.
Tiana Petrova-Hammond:
It was her idea that I even come, since she couldn’t do it herself. She LOVES wrestling, always watching it, even in her sleep.
Trinity put her hand on her friend’s shoulder, tilting her head and offering her a wide smile.
Trinity Thompson:
You’re going to make her and your family proud, T. You kicked all butts, I heard the trainers talking and let me tell you girl… You impressed them. I have a long way to go if I wanna be half as good as you so… Round two?
Stealing another sip of water from Tiana’s bottle, Trinity stands up and smiles at her friend, offering her a hand to help her up to her feet.
Tiana reached out, taking Trin’s hand to pull herself up off the ground with a smile.
Tiana Petrova-Hammond:
Before we get to round two, just remember somethin’... It’s not about being as good as me, or anyone else. You look at it that way and you’re always gonna be thinking you need to catch up, no matter how good you get. You just need to be the best you and everything else will follow.
She smiled and bent over to retrieve her mitts, sliding each on her hands as she turned back toward Trin.
Tiana Petrova-Hammond:
Faster this time, okay? Everything you got.
Again! Again! Again!

At Millennium's academy we find Millie Smith…….'s mother currently enjoying her new dress from the fall collection. She reads a text while expertly walking around an oncoming stop sign, without taking notice of it. Millie's mother, Cindy, finishes replying to the message and then approaches the chain fence where her daughter Millie approaches from the other side.
Cindy Smith:
There's my little Mille superstar! How have you been? How are the classes? How's everything going?
Millie takes a bigger breath than usual to try and process all her mother's questions. She does have her hood up, obscuring most of her face which is still framed with some of her blonde hair flowing down her face and out. Millie's gone very basic and very minimal with the makeup, what with classes ahead and tucking her hands into her hoody's pockets which features Stitch on the front. She's wearing some athletic pants, looking brand new and something she'd picked up with her mom prior to starting school.
Cindy Smith:
You were absolutely right about those pants, you look great! And they make your
Millie Smith:
Mom…!
Millie says with a stressed tone, and her mother now takes that breath to stop herself. Millie then speaks a little but the feed subtitles it due to her speaking in a soft tone.
Cindy Smith:
Sorry
Millie Smith:
It's going good, it's very intense and the curriculum is really, really big.
Cindy Smith:
Well that's good! You're learning the whole circuit of wrestling. That’s what you call it?
Millie just shakes her head, and Cindy smiles proudly.
Cindy Smith:
You'll be able to tell me when we get home, well after the initial storm of getting home. It's been a while since we left your dad looking after everyone on his own for a few days. I can only imagine how it's all going. But I want to make sure you're enjoying yourself, and settling in all right…and that this is something you want to do.
Which makes Millie nod. She gives her mom a faint smile, showing there is a little confidence within Millie and that this is something she wants to do.
Millie Smith:
It is.
Cindy Smith:
Then you're in the right place for that. Not to put any pressure on you, but Honey said she's looking forward to tagging with you one day too.
Millie Smith:
EEP!
Millie gets immediately nervous considering the crowds she's seen Honey compete in front of, how far ahead Honey was than Millie when she looked at what she was doing in the introduction classes vs what Honey was doing on PPVs, and the list goes on. But Millie's mom calms her with a small gesture, pushing down the nerves.
Cindy Smith:
Don't worry. That's when YOU'RE ready. Like this wise guy told me today while I was buying this beautiful dress…"take your time, don't rush into it too much." You take your time. Walk, don't run.
Which Millie appreciates, and she sighs relaxed. Her shoulders drop a little, and she stops holding her forearm.
Cindy Smith:
AND, you'll be pleased to know we're flying back in first class. So no worrying about that either.
Cindy whips out her phone with the confirmation details of the upgrade to show Millie. It doesn't make Millie any more relaxed but she does smile a little more.
Millie Smith:
That's lucky.
And the scene fades out, with Millie and her mother continuing to talk together, with no more eep outbursts from Millie hopefully…

The Principal’s Office
October 16th, 2020
11:00 AM
The big mahogany desk was taking the centre of the scene. Uncluttered and perfectly tidy, it had a computer screen on top of it and a framed picture of a young blonde woman and what we can assume was her daughter. On a closer look one could recognize the woman as Tobie Nox Thorne, former Millennium and [R]evo wrestler. And Gianluigi Vaccaro’s wife-to-be, The smiling kid was, of course, Juliette Fia, their almost four months old daughter. At the angle the picture was placed, it was visible not only to Gian himself but to whoever entered the room as well. And the door eventually was swung open by Michael Ali himself. A legend of a couple of generations ago, the multi-time Tag Team Champion courteously stepped aside to allow his fellow team leader to enter first.
Almost gliding into the room, the delightful figure of Lady Magdalena entered, wearing a very regal and elegant floor length midnight blue gown. Her dark locks were pinned up, and she removed her long gloves as she entered.
Lady Magdalena:
I do believe this is the moment we begin conducting the more business side of affairs?
The Frenchwoman purred, moving over to take a seat. She was an extremely decorated former champion in her own right, holding three World level championships in her career, and was already celebrated as a coach after training current MWE star Jessica Lasiewicz, her niece, as well as her daughter, the former Cloud Gate Champion, Anastasia Starling. After her exit from MWE, it was a surprise that Lady was here, but it did seem that Starling, and clearly her family, were now on better terms with the Chicago based company.
Lady Magdalena:
I’m quite sure you have this organised in quite the orderly manner? Matters have been ever so professional thus far.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
I’m glad to hear you saying that. First of all, I’d like to thank you both for what you two did so far and for what you will do in the future as well. We choose you because we firmly believe you can help us shape the future stars of this industry. You both already started doing so, Anastasia and Jessica are already world class athletes and Mr. Ali’s nephew Marcus Jr is one of the most promising prospects in MWE right now.
The former multi-time tag team champion smiled proudly at the mention of one of his trainees.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
As you are well aware, today we make our televised debut. You both had two weeks to watch and get acquainted with our students. I’m sure some of them caught your eyes more than others, I’ve seen them doing their best to impress you and I must admit we have some very interesting and talented kids in this class. Well, it’s now time for you to pick five of them to assemble your team.
Gianluigi sat down on his chair, inviting the two head trainers to do the same.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
As the saying goes, in this case literally, Lady first. Unless you have any objection, Michael.
Michael Ali
Absolutely not.
Lady smiled as she took her seat, resting her handbag upon her lap. She tapped her fingers for a moment, before speaking clearly and precisely.
Lady Magdalena:
After careful consideration, and taking into account my own style throughout my career, I have elected to select Tiana Petrova-Hammond as the very first selection.
The Frenchwoman, who began her career in MMA, smiled broadly, knowing that she had selected exactly who she had wanted to start with.
Gianluigi nodded and noted the name down. Without saying a word, he looked over at Michael.
Michael Ali:
This one’s easy for me. My first pic is my own blood, my son Dez. I signed him up for this knowing that, under my guidance, he will be able to fulfill his destiny and achieve greatness. Just like his old man did.
Michael proudly announced. Gian smirked as he signed Dez’ name under Michael’s team and commented.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
This one was expected. I’m sure I don’t need to remind you that we expect you to treat him as you would treat any other student, even though he’s your son.
His eyes shifted to the left, once again meeting Lady’s.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Your turn, Lady.
Lady Magdalena:
That was a very predictable selection, Michael. I do hope your relation to them doesn’t cause too many issues with your other selections.
Reaching into her bag, she pulled out a little pocket mirror, checking her own reflection before returning it to the bag.
Lady Magdalena:
I myself will make a selection most will not expect of me, but I have been quite impressed with the intelligence shown by this young woman. Sometimes it takes more than quickness and brawn to succeed, so I will be selecting Faith Savell for my next choice.
Gian seemed surprised by this pick, while the look on Michael’s face was one of disappointment. He even mumbled a “damnit”, clearly he wanted the young Savell on his team. Quickly regaining his composure, he cleared his throat to announce the second name on his list.
Michael Ali:
Well then, you leave me no other choice but to choose the other student coming from a successful wrestling family. She might be shy, but Millie Smith has all that it takes to follow in her sisters and cousins’ footsteps.
Lady Magdalena:
Faizah Marshall.
Lady then responded, checking her nails as she rolled out Faizah’s name literally as soon as Michael had finished speaking.
Lady Magdalena:
The girl has a certain spark to her, reminds me of someone I once knew. If she can use that spark, she might start a wildfire. Can your next selection say the same, Michael?
Gian smiled, amused by this competition between the two team leaders. They’re kids, sure. Students who are here to learn and grow. But a competitive environment would definitely benefit them.
Michael Ali:
He’s a bit of a wildcard, a lone wolf, if you will. But Olly has all the tool in the box to become a star. He has charisma, attitude and he’s not afraid to do anything it takes to win.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Good luck with him. He’s going to be a handful.
It was time for Lady’s fourth pick, Gian stared at the Frenchwoman who was carefully examining the remaining candidates.
Lady Magdalena:
Considering… the choices left, I feel that I could potentially get the most out of one of my picks if I choose The Kid. In fact, it could be beneficial to both of them if they are selected together. So I will go down that route, thank you.
Lady pulled out a fan, wafting herself with it as her eyes gazed over to Michael.
Lady Magdalena:
Choose wisely, Michael. You only have two more to select, you’d rather not make a mistake, would you?
Trinity Thompson, Braxton and Amelia Marx. Those three were the remaining names and Michael took his sweet time before blurting out.
Michael Ali:
I’d go with Amelia. She’s a student of the game, I saw her taking notes about the other students. She’s not the biggest, nor the strongest, but as you said, a sharp mind is a just as dangerous weapon.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
I definitely agree with that statement. I’ve been observing Amelia, she’s definitely one to keep your eyes on. I’m surprised she wasn’t picked earlier.
Lady smirked at Gian’s comment, taking a few moments to make her final selection, standing as she did so as she gathered her things.
Lady Magdalena:
Due to her natural athletic ability, I will use my final selection on Braxton. Out of the entire field, she may be the most gifted on a pure sports level. She will do well with my guidance, even more than yourself, Michael. No offence, of course.
Michael Ali:
None taken…
The 17 time Tag Team Champion raised his hands, letting out a chuckle.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
So I guess that leaves Trinity to you, Michael. I know her and Tiana become friends in these two weeks, it would be interesting to see if being on opposite teams will affect this.
Signing up the last name for Ali, Gian took one last moment to look at the composition of the two teams.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
I will let you inform the students about your choices. It will definitely mean more if they hear from you why you picked them.
The former Millennium General Manager stood up from his chair, adjusting his suit before addressing the two Team Leaders one last time.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
It’s been a pleasure meeting you two. I got to know you two better through the choices you made, and the motivations behind them and I’m even more convinced than I was before that we made the right choice trusting you with the future of these kids. Thank you for your time, and may the best team win in tonight’s match.
Not being able to shake their hand due to the reason we all know too well, he slightly bowed his head, nodding at Lady and Michael who then left the room to reach their chosen students. Gian sat back behind his desk, the screensaver on his laptop showing the picture of an engraved stone, reciting a latin motto. It said Per Aspera Ad Astra which can be translated as Through hardships to the stars. A fitting phrase to describe the path the ten young students only just started.
Almost gliding into the room, the delightful figure of Lady Magdalena entered, wearing a very regal and elegant floor length midnight blue gown. Her dark locks were pinned up, and she removed her long gloves as she entered.
