Riot in Illinois #9
Live from Enterprise Arena in Chicago, IL
Saturday, October 3rd, 2020
The show opens with a shot of the half empty, yet sold out, Enterprise Arena. The few fans allowed to attend the show are already buzzing in excitement, ready for the first Riot in almost four months. The lights dim out, everything is ready for what promises to be a night full of exciting action. The first thing we notice as the usual clip showing the highlights of the Riot superstars rolls on the titantron is that "Riot" by Three Days Grace is no longer the theme song accompanying the images. Skunk Anansie's "This Means War" is the new opening song of the Riot weekly episode, a choice the fans seem to appreciate. Seating at the commentary table we find, like always, Amy Maynard and Sir Figgles.
Amy Maynard:
Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to Riot!
Sir Figgles:
Did you miss us? Well, I certainly didn't...
Amy Maynard:
I'm sure the feeling is reciprocates, Jacob. Anyway, we're back to our weekly schedule, the road to the Three Years Anniversary show starts tonight and we have a few matches that will help us shape the card for the biggest show of the year.
Sir Figgles:
Of course you're talking about the main event. We need a new contender for Glory Braddock's title after the last one choked, as expected. Will it be the hulkling Tank Steiner? The fierce Liv Mercer? Or, sigh, Henri Black once again?
Amy Maynard:
You forgot one, it's a four way elimination match...
Sir Figgles:
I'm talking about people who have a concrete chance, Amy. I don't believe in miracles.
Amy Maynard:
I don't think you should underestimate Topher like that. Anyway, that's not the only match with potential implications for the next PPV. If Nina wins tonight, she will be added to the Junior Heavyweight championship match between Luna and Leia LeBeau.
Sir Figgles:
Speaking of champions, REAL champions, the Man himself will be gracing us with his presence here tonight.
Amy Maynard:
Yeah, Pierce Manning is scheduled to...
Sir Figgles:
Who?
Amy Maynard:
The Man, Pierce Manning... The MENTV Champion does it ring a bell?
Sir Figgles:
Who cares about that loser? I was talking about THE Man, Devin Hearst. My sources tell me he's here and he has something to say.
Amy Maynard:
But you said real champions, and Hearst is not...
Sir Figgles:
It's just a matter of time. October 25th, save the date!
Amy Maynard:
I have a feeling this is going to be a loooooong night for me. We really should get the ball rolling already.

Tag Team Match
Warblade 42 VS Brothers McMillion
The Brothers McMillion had it rough recently. Between APE and Sandstorm Inc, the former Tag Team champions got their ass whooped in more than one occasion. Looking to get their record back on track and climbing the rankings in order to earn themselves another shot at the American Pain Experience. Javen started the match against Niko, and his unpredictable style and quickness gave him an early advantage. After taking the Warblade Of Tokyo off guard with a quick flurry of kicks and forcing her in the corner, He charged at full and drove his shoulder into her midsection, leaving the ring in one fluid motion to hit her with a slingshot cornered dropkick. He then went straight for the tag to Christian, who hit Niko with a cannonball senton, dragging her back in the middle of the ring to make a cover, obtaining just a count of two. The veteran isolated the japanese sensation and came close to the win with the Dirty South Drop, but Valkyrie was right there to break it. The execution of the Fastball Special instead wasn’t as flawless as their match had been up to that point. A little miscommunication, some precious moments wasted and Yua could catch the flying Javen with a superkick. She quickly rushed into her corner to make the tag, followed by CM who managed to catch her in a waistlock before she could reach the corner and hit a released german suplex. The Baka Buster landed on her feet, calling Christian and sending him into her corner with a shotgun dropkick. And then she could finally tag her partner, who entered the ring and began hitting her with a series of shoulder tackles in the corner. Christian wasn’t the legal man though, that would be Javen who was now charging at Valkyrie. Niko warned her partner just in time, and the Omega Academy instructor was quick to turn around and launch him against his brother with a belly to belly suplex. The Great Dane Bitch looked incredible tonight, at the expenses of Simon who got tossed around like a rag doll. Things didn’t go much better to his brother after Simon stunned the blonde with a jumping knee long enough to reach his corner. CM charged in, looking to capitalize on the dazed opponent but he was caught with a snap scoop powerslam from Valkyrie showing an impressive speed that, combined with her obvious strength, made her a dangerous opponent, one the McMillions couldn’t seem to figure out a counter to. The Warmaiden Of Roskilde almost decapitated the poor CM with a discus lariat, making the cover after an elbow drop for a count of two. And another one came with a brainbuster, a third one following a huge spear saw Javen making the last minute save. And just like that (pun intended) the Tennessee born connected his Just Like That (twist of fate). His experience suggested him to go for the tag rather than make a pinfall attempt that could be broken up by Niko. And that was probably the right thing to do, allowing a fresh Javen to get in the ring and immediately going to stop Valkyrie from reaching her partner. And failing. Niko and Javen gave birth to a thrilling end of a match, characterised by the back and forth action and a lot of near falls. A long sequence of pinning combinations and counters kept the referee busy and the fans on the edge of their seats. Out of a schoolboy pin, Javen caved Niko’s face in with a running knee to the mush but the devastating strike couldn’t keep the Warblade down. They kept fighting, and Simon seemed to be coming out on top, making up for his minor speed and striking precision with the experience and some cheap tricks. One of them helped him take back control after Niko forced him against the ropes with a flurry of quick kicks. He tagged his well rested brother back in, the power advantage granting CM an edge on Yua. He almost got her with a falcon arrow, but Niko raised her shoulder in time. He then charged at her with a clothesline, trying another cover with a springboard moonsault. Niko rolled out of her way, leaving nothing but the canvas for CM to land on. And just as quickly as she rolled away, she got up to her feet and charged at Simon knocking him out with a punt kick. She made a cover, but the referee said it was just two and half. For a couple of more minutes, Christian desperately tried to stay in this match, kicking out from a roundhouse kick that almost took his head off. But when the Warblade Of Tokyo took him down with the double knees to the face as he was seated on the match, trying to recover from the devastating kick, things turned from back to worse for the veteran. There was a tag, Valkyrie and Niko waited for him to get up to finish him with the Knockout Junction. Vee made the cover, Yua blocked Javen and Warblade 42 brought home a big win. WINNER: Warblade 42 BY: Pinfall (Knockout Junction), 10:28 |
Amy Maynard: "The brothers' unlucky moment continues. Another tough loss for the former champs!"
Sir Figgles: "In every wrestler's career there's a hill, Amy. Javen and CM are well over it already."
Amy Maynard: "You were saying this right before they won the titles, remember?"
Sir Figgles: "They were already over the hill back then, imagine where they are now!"
Amy Maynard: "I give up already."

Jay Gallagher:
I don't know bro...
The camera catches Jay and Donnie of Nightfall Rising discussing before their match against Saki and Williams later that night.
Donovan Keane:
You saw what that psycho ginger said on Twitter! She wants to kill me, and you know better than I do that if it's on the internet...
Gallagher stares at his partner in shock, his mouth wide open.
Jay Gallagher:
If it's on the internet, then it's true! That's the rule, everybody knows it!
Keane nods in approval.
Jay Gallagher:
You just came back, I don't want you to die again, Donnie!
Donovan Keane:
Neither do I, bro... That's why we gotta stick to THE PLAN!
He follows his words with a pat on Jay's shoulder, trying to fire up his partner.
Jay Gallagher:
Right, THE PLAN!
He enthusiastically replied, returning the pat on the shoulder. His expression immediately changed as doubt grips him.
Jay Gallagher:
Tell me again what's THE PLAN? It's not that I forgot... i... Uh...
Donnie facepalms, noticing the camera as he does so. He turns his attention in that direction, talking to the man behind it.
Donovan Keane:
Hey, whistleblower... Do you mind giving us some privacy? Thanks?
The cameraman takes the hint and leaves Nightfall Rising going through the last details of THE PLAN to beat the unholy alliance of Saki and Kimberly Williams.
Singles Match
Echo VS Alex AndrewsThe former Invictus champion didn’t seem to particularly enjoy being here tonight. Nothing new, this was exactly the same attitude we saw from her at Drums In The Night. She absentmindedly listened to Yulia’s advice, her warning about not underestimating the rookie who, despite ups and downs in these first months in MWE, has always left positive impressions even when she came up short. The match started, Echo lazily circling around the opponent and locking up with her in the middle of the ring. The height advantage made it easy for her to force the opponent in the corner, giving her a clean break as the referee asked her to break it up only to follow with a chop. Too predictable and easily avoidable for the rookie, who then pushed the former champion in the corner and went for the same move, with a very different outcome. More chops followed, lighting up the Australian’s chest who then was sent in the opposite corner with an irish whip, quickly following with a running uppercut in the corner. Her sequence wasn’t over yet as she ran out of the corner and slammed her face first on the canvas with a running bulldog. She made a cover looking to score a quick, upset victory but all she got out of it was barely a two count. Yulia and Damian weren’t happy with Echo’s performance, and rightly so. The young rookie dominated the first part of the match, taking the blonde girl down with an STO and transitioning right into an anaconda vise. As the air supply was being cut by the tight hold, Echo finally reacted, taking advantage of the rookie’s non perfect positioning to hit her with some knee strikes to the back, using them to break free from the submission. There it was that intensity and determination that brought Echo to the Invictus title in first place. Her strikes were swift and stiff, always hitting the target. It didn’t take long for them to sort the desired effect, leaving Alex dazed and defenseless against the discus clothesline. A little ground and pound to continue her onslaught before hitting a deadlift german suplex. She kept a slow pace, almost listless in her attacks. Despite this kind of lazy approach, her offense was nonetheless effective, almost enough to put Andrews away with her knee-drop brainbuster. The last part of the match was nothing short than a slugfest, the two competitors hitting one another with stiff forearms and elbows strikes. Echo got a busted lip out of the exchange, but still managed to come out on top stringing together three heavy right hands to the jaw in rapid succession. Wasting no time, she sent her against the ropes, catching her on the rebound for the Reverb, but Alex had the move scouted and countered it into an armbar takedown. Andrews yanked and bent the opponent’s elbow, looking to submit her. But Echo didn’t tap, rolling Alex on her back and keeping her pinned. The referee had just counted two when the Australian showed off her strength lifting the opponent to powerbomb her to the canvas. Once again Alex kicked out, crawling to the nearby ropes to pick herself up. Slowly Echo reached her, eating an elbow to the face for giving Alex too much time to recover. The rookie was determined to leave the Enterprise Arena with a win tonight, but the ace crusher at the end of a kicking combination wasn’t enough to keep Echo down. The dizzy Australian slowly started getting up, with Alex taking a couple of steps back and waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike with the Brain Death (step up axe kick), knocking the former champion down and picking up an impressive win. WINNER: Alex Andrews BY: Pinfall (Brain Death), 9:31 |
Amy Maynard: "Big win for Alex tonight! She just pinned a former champion!"
Sir Figgles: "More like the weak twin of a former champion? What happened to the real Echo?"
Amy Maynard: "I don't know, but she hasn't been the same since losing the title."
Sir Figgles: "I can't believe you're blaming me, Amy... I called it as I saw it!"
Amy Maynard: "... I wasn't blaming you and I never questioned your judgement..."
Sir Figgles: "GOOD!"
Amy Maynard: "... Regarding that situation."
Sir Figgles: "I don't like your tone, what do you mean?"

We open up in front of what appears to be an old school classroom desk that some young child may use in school. Only occupying the desk is “The Woman Scorned” Kimberly Williams. The red headed ginger is dressed in torn jeans and a black shirt with the word “Evil” embroidered on the front in pink lettering. Her face is buried in a book. Then she catches sight of the camera and looks up.
Kimberly Williams:
Oh, hi! You caught me at a bad time! I’m busy catching up on my studies, continuing my education and all...
She holds up the book which reads “How To Butcher Nightfall Rising”. She picks up another book; this one reads “Being Partners with Saki for Dummies”. She puts that one to the side and picks up another which reads “Beginners Guide To World Domination”.
Kimberly Williams:
But I suppose I need to hype my match and stuff. So here goes; Saki and I promise to wait until after we have beaten Nightfall before we maim them. We promise to bathe in the blood of our enemies. Did I forget anything?
She pauses for a moment and then snaps her fingers.
Kimberly Williams:
Oh yeah! Gratuitous promise to become tag team champions with Saki! Now back to my studies...

Tag Team Match
Nightfall Rising VS Saki & Kimberly Williams
In the battle royal at the last special event Drums In The Night, Saki and Kimberly showed an unexpected chemistry, successfully working together as a team and eliminating the likes of Kate Steele and Khali Washington III. Will that be enough to beat a well-oiled tag team such as Nightfall Rising? That remains to be seen. One thing for sure, Donovan looked still pretty banged up after the brutal unsanctioned match against Asher Miles, his right arm wrapped in a heavy bandage to cover the wound left by the stabbing received ten days ago. The match started with Jay and Saki squaring off, the young man looking sideways at the Kawaii Deathmachine, who started skipping around him in an unsettling way. Gallagher asked her to stop being weird, charging with a clothesline as she kept… well, being Saki. The Singapore Mauler ducked it and, as soon as Jay turned around, doubled him over with a back kick to the stomach, taking a run at the ropes and connecting a scissors kick to the back of his head. Kimberly made the tag as her partner bounced off the ropes, the two of them already working on the opponent hitting him with a flurry of chops before sending him for a run at the ropes and flooring him with a double superkick. Kim tried to score an early win but Donnie was there to save his best friend. After an early part of the match where the brand new team surprisingly took the land with fast tags, the experience of the boys from Nightfall came out at distance. All it took was Jay finding an opening with a step-over spinning kick and reaching his teammate in the corner. Donovan jumped over the top rope and rushed at Williams, taking out the Woman Scorned with a clothesline. He didn’t stop there, knocking Saki off the apron with a forearm strike. He then turned back just in time to stop the charging Kim with a picture perfect standing dropkick, making the cover after a springboard moonsault. Saki broke it up and got some retribution on Donnie with a series of furious stomps, until the referee separated the two of them and pushed her back in her corner. Saki’s intervention bought her partner some time to regroup, and Kim didn’t waste this opportunity. Targeting Donnie’s right arm, that bandage was a huge bullseye for the Wildcard’s kicks. She caught him in a wristlock, twisting his arm and dragging him on the corner, where she made the tag to Saki. The former hardcore champion climbed to the top rope and jumped with a double foot stomp on that marked spot. Donnie wasn’t having a good time against the girl he called a basket case on more than one occasion on social media. Saki was methodically punishing him, focusing her attacks on that arm. To maximize the damage, she ripped the bandage, exposing the scar Donnie earned when Asher stabbed him with a pair of scissors. He tried to fend her off, swinging for the fences with a big right hand. Again the 5’3’ Singapore born ducked the blow, grabbing Donovan’s arm and even biting him. The referee threatened to disqualify her, and Keane took the chance to sneak away and make the tag, cursing under his breath as he held his arm in pain. Jay and Saki met again, and it was a fast paced contest with a lot of false finals. Jay kicked out from the tornado ddt, Saki from the Jay-Breaker (lifting double knee backbreaker) and a piledriver. His Galla-Star Press instead missed the target, and gave Saki the chance to hit her ripcord headbutt known as Farfegnugen. As the referee was making the count, Donnie put his partner’s foot on the ropes, The official missed it, but spotted the rope break and interrupted the count. Kimberly protested his decision, claiming that it was Donnie’s doing but Keane acted innocent, waiting for the official to turn back to Kim to hit Saki with a punch to the face. Williams entered the ring and Keane, receiving a superkick from Jay for her troubles. It was a chaotic ending for a fun match, the referee struggling to bring back order but eventually managing to take charge of the situation, sending Donnie back in the corner and doing the same with Kimberly, all this while Jay and Saki, the legal competitors were slowly getting back to their feet. As the red tried to calm down the Woman Scorned, Keane slid a steel chair to his partner. Jay grabbed it and seemed ready to hit Saki with it, but at the last moment, he threw it at her and dropped on the floor. When the official turned around, he analyzed the situation and took the logical decision, awarding the win by DQ to Nightfall Rising. WINNER: Nightfall Rising BY: DQ, 13:31 |
Sir Figgles: "So this was THE PLAN? These guys are two genius!"
Amy Maynard: "I had no doubts you would approve of this travesty. There's a big flaw in their plan though."
Sir Figgles: "It's not their plan it's THE PLAN, get your facts straight. And what do you mean there's a flaw? It looks to me it worked just fine for them."
Amy Maynard: "For now. But you don't leave a chair anywhere near Saki..."
The Kawaii Deathmachine already picked up the chair and smiles at the camera before swinging it across Jay's back. Donnie turns around to catch a flying penguin to the face. Of course, it's not a real penguin. That's Wasley, the stuffed penguin and Kimberly's newest weapon of choice. The two girls might have lost the match due to Nightfall's shenanigans, but they got a taste of revenge by being the two standing tall at the end of it, while Jay and Donnie were laying on the mat, not looking like winners at all.

“What the hell was that?”
The voice coming from behind the locker room door left ajar, although higher pitched than the usual and with a russian accent she usually managed to hide, was that of the former Riot General Manager Yulia Kirilenko. The camera moved to the side, allowing us to peek inside Echo’s locker room after her match against Alex Andrews. The former Invictus champion was sitting on the chair, staring absently at the wall in front of her, completely ignoring the clearly upset russian. Damian Carter tried to calm her, placing a hand on her shoulder. And it seemed to work, Yulia’s hands, previously balled up in fists, now unclenched, denoting a more relaxed demeanor. And even her voice shifted back to the usual calm and caring tone as she crouched next to the Aussie, speaking now softly.
Yulia Kirilenko:
What’s happening to you Ju… Echo?
Echo stayed seated, her eyes not once moving from the small crack in the wall she seemed fixated on. She was going through the motions of removing her wrist tape, not giving much thought to Damian or even Yulia. The words went in one ear and out the other, just background noise for her wind down period, like an annoying buzzing that wouldn’t go away.
Echo:
Leave.
If Damian took a step back, Yulia instead stood right there, shaking her head.
Yulia Kirilenko:
No, I’m not leaving. Not this time, not again…
She let out a long sigh, trying to lock eyes with Echo. Unsuccessfully.
Yulia Kirilenko:
You haven’t been the same in months, since losing the title… Whatever is going through that head of yours, we can get through this. Just… Look at me.
Echo didn’t move toward Yulia, instead focusing on unlacing her boots. She kicked them off her feet and sighed, brushing the messy hair from her face with the back of her hand.
Echo:
Nothin’ to talk about. Match is over, you two can go now, I’m trying to change.
Damian Carter:
Lord knows you never ask us to leave any other t-...
He was cut off by a quick elbow to his side courtesy of Yulia. He quietly nodded and backed up a few steps.
Yulia Kirilenko:
There’s A LOT to talk about actually. We have months to talk about… You’ve been like this the whole summer. You shut off completely, you come to the gym and do the bare minimum, always with those DAMN earbuds.. Not a word to anyone, ANYONE!
She was struggling now to keep her emotions in check, once again Damian stepped in to allow her a moment to regain composure.
Damian Carter:
We’re just trying to help, Echo…
Yulia Kirilenko:
We used to be… like family. What happened?
Echo finally stood, turning to face Yulia and Damian but staring through them rather than at them. She took a deep breath and took a step forward, looking down toward the ever growing emotionally charged Russian.
Echo
I don’t need your help. What I need, is for you, both of you, to leave me the fuck alone. Go help someone that gives a damn.
She moved to push past Yulia, but Damian was quick to push Echo back. She exhaled deeply and stepped back up to him, and he simply pushed her back again, harder this time.
Damian Carter:
This isn’t you, Jules. The badass I know would have put me on my ass for that.
Echo stepped forward again, staring up at Damian who...pushed her again, this time sending her to the floor. Yulia glanced at Damian and then at Echo on the floor with a concerned look on her face. He made a good point, the old Echo, the young girl who dethroned the longest reigning Invictus Champion in MWE history wouldn’t have taken none of this. But that fierce woman was not in that room, replaced by what looked more as an empty shell of the warrior they, and the MWE fans, were used to know. That fire in her eyes was long gone, that fight that always drove her, disappeared. On the floor in that locker room, Yulia wasn’t seeing the young, brash talent she decided to tutor.
Taking a step forward, the russian offered Echo a hand to help her back on her feet, almost begging her to accept the help she was offering.
Echo looked at the hand and huffed, opting instead to roll to the side and pick her own damn self off the floor. She clenched the back of the chair she had been seated on earlier, almost wanting to pick it up and hurl it across the room, yet…
Echo:
I’m done.
Her voice was empty, no fire, no sadness, nothing but empty. She didn’t bother gathering her belongings, didn’t bother with grabbing her boots. She took a wide berth around Yulia and Damian to avoid another pushing incident and went for the door, pushing it open and near taking the camera out with it. She shook her head and moved down the hallway without a further word.
Yulia Kirilenko:
We… We’re losing her.
She stuttered, her voice broken by emotion. Damian didn’t say a word, putting an arm around his shoulder and pulling the blonde russian in a comforting hug. Noticing now the cameraman, he motioned him to go away.

Jenni Anderson VS Alan EnvyAlan still looked pretty banged up after being brutalized by BROOKFORD last week. Most importantly, he looked extremely cautious on his way to the ring, constantly glancing behind his back as if he was expecting another attack from the Problem Solver. And the attack came, but frontally and at the hands of Jenni, who didn’t even wait for the bell to ring to hit him with a baseball slide before he could even get inside the ring. Determined to take all the advantage she can, The Queenpin stomped Alan to the ground and when the pissed off Lonestar got back up to his feet, she sent him shoulder first against the ring post. The referee gave her a last warning, ordering her to stop this gratuitous attack and get back in the ring. She did exactly that, not before giving the member of APE one last kick to the ribs and barking at Jared Constable to pick him up and throw him back in the ring. The referee checked on Envy before ordering for the bell to be rang, officially starting a match that saw Jenni having an early advantage she tried to capitalize on immediately, flooring a still dizzy Alan with a superkick and making a first cover attempt for a count of two. The frustration was already growing in Anderson, whose every attempt to put Alan away was ending with a two count. At first she complained with the referee, accusing him to be too slow in his counting. Then she tried to bribe him, shamelessly offering money for a faster count that would grant her a quick win against the Tag Champion. This gave Alan some time to recover, and the veteran didn’t let this chance to turn the tables go to waste, clubbing Jenni from behind and holding her in a reverse headlock for an inverted suplex. Then it was his time to serve the Queenpin a taste of her own medicine with a series of furious stomps to the back and the head, making it impossible for her to stand up. Showing all his mean streak, he kicked her twice in the ribcage area, before lifting her for a gutwrench powerbomb for a two count. As the match drew to its conclusion, Alan had full control, forcing Jenni in the corner and hitting her with several kicks to the chest. With an irish whip, he sent her all the way across the ring, following right behind her for a clothesline in the corner. But Anderson was able to leave through the ropes, causing Envy to impact his chest first against the corner. From the apron, she kicked him in the head and climbed to the top rope, catching the stumbling opponent with a diving crossbody. He caught her in mid air and lifted her on his shoulders, smiling as he dropped her down with a Death Valley Driver. Transitioning right into a cover, he obtained another two. Just like Jenni before, he too complained to the ref, but his grievance sounded more like a threat, and took far less allowing him to maintain the edge he earned. Being in absolute control made him overconfident, which inevitably led to a mistake, a little opening left in his guard and immediately exploited with a jawbreaker. A flurry of kicks then overwhelmed him, forcing him on the defense. He managed to dodge and block a few, but Anderson kept going, her strikes fast and hard wearing down the tag champion who stumbled back a couple of steps. That was it, he was right where Jenni needed him to be to connect her cartwheel enziguri called Kick Me Deadly for the definitive three count. WINNER: Jenni Anderson BY: Pinfall (Kick Me Deadly), 10:44 |
Amy Maynard: "I guess this makes it official. Jenni Anderson is back."
Sir Figgles: "Where did she go?"
Amy Maynard: "Not literally, you doofus. But since that fatal 4-way at Dark Web II, she was on a bit of a rough path. Tonight's convincing win is a great way to bounce back, and get on the right track."
Sir Figgles: "If you say so..."

The scene opens inside the luxurious suite inside the Enterprise Arena. Pierce is sitting at a table overlooking the inside of the arena down below where MWE has taken a break from the action. He’s in his wrestling gear. A bottle of champagne is off to his right. The MENTV Championship is propped up in front of him so the viewer can see the gold plating. As he takes a sip from his glass, Megan Monroe sits on the seat next to him. He looks to his left. A visible smile can be seen on his face.
Pierce Manning:
Hey there.
Megan, who’s wearing a pink blouse and a black skirt, sets her Intercontinental Championship next to Pierce’s. She can’t help but smile back at Pierce as she scoots closer to him.
Megan Monroe:
You did all this for me?
She grabs the champagne glass in front of her and takes a sip from it before letting out a happy sigh.
Megan Monroe:
And you got my favorite kind of champagne? You’re winning all the points with me tonight.
Pierce smirks.
Pierce Manning:
Anything to put a smile on your face is worth it in my book.
Megan Monroe:
Hmm…
The Intercontinental Champion takes another sip of the champagne before nodding.
Megan Monroe:
I like the sound of that. I think what would make this night perfect for me, is seeing you clean the floor with that piece of trash, Wilkow. Well, that and the celebration that comes with it.
A grin runs over Meg’s face as she nudges Pierce in the arm.
Pierce Manning:
People like Wilkow only have function in this world, to take orders. Unfortunately for him he takes orders from a man who isn’t half the man I am. I’ll send Wilkow back to his boss disappointed. How can he measure up to The Man in MWE.
Pierce chuckles a bit.
Pierce Manning:
Meh, who can? With the roll I’m on, Wilkow will become just another casualty.
Megan laughs and nods her head.
Megan Monroe:
Which isn’t surprising, as Andrew and that idiot Devin Hearst both love to play victim, don’t they? But yes, tonight is just another night of you proving why you’re the Man of Millennium.
Megan runs her fingers down the MENTV Championship as she keeps her eyes on Pierce.
Megan Monroe:
There is a reason you have this gold right here, after all. And let’s not forget, that me, the greatest and ONLY Intercontinental Champion this company has ever seen, doesn’t hang out with losers. I keep company with the best and the best is you.
Pierce slides his seat over closer to Megan. He shows he is comfortable enough to wrap his arm around her shoulder. He keeps his eyes on her.
Pierce Manning:
Like does attract like after all.
He reaches over to grab his champagne glass. He takes a sip.
Pierce Manning:
Your special, Megan. The fools in this company should acknowledge that. Their loss for not being believers. I will always be your biggest supporter in the ring... and outside it.
Megan Monroe:
And obviously I’ll do the same for you.
Megan grabs her champagne glass and holds it up.
Megan Monroe:
Real recognizes real. And you and I? We’re the not just the most talented young stars here in Millennium, but the realest. This company is and will continue to be carried on yours and my shoulders. So a toast to us and our future.
Pierce and Megan clink their champagne glasses.
Pierce Manning:
Couldn’t agree more.
Both drink from their respective glasses as the scene fades to black.

Pierce Manning VS Andrew WilkowThe MENTV Champion walked to the ring parading all his confidence. Whether that was true, or he was just feigning it to hide a certain, and justified, concern about having to step in the ring with Devin Hearst’s Sandstorm enhanced goon. The former Riot champion instructed Wilkow before the match, and the Appalachian Mountain Monster didn’t want to let his boss down, charging at Manning and lifting him from the ground to slam him against the corner. Bending forward and grabbing the ropes, he then proceeded to ram his shoulder in the opponent’s mid section. The referee had to struggle to push him back and concede Pierce the rope break. But as he eventually managed to, Andrew immediately shoved him aside and charged back in, driving the sole of his boot to the seated champion’s face. He pulled Pierce up and connected a couple of chops to his chest, before seating him on the floor with a snapmare. Wilkow hit the ropes and went for another running kick to the face, but this time Pierce dodged it and quickly rolled him on his shoulders with a schoolboy pin, barely getting a two. The pattern of this match was clear since the beginning, Wilkow relying on his raw power to tear the champion apart. It wasn’t clear if Andrew was aware of what a win tonight would mean for him or if he was merely following orders, but he looked more focused and determined than ever, absolutely manhandling Pierce who wisely rolled out of the ring to catch a break. Andrew chased him outside, Manning slid back in and ran on the opposite side, rolling under the bottom rope once again. Being faster than his opponent, he put some distance between him and the vice president of Sandstorm, enough to catch him with a low dropkick as he entered the ring. With the big man now on his knees, Pierce unleashed a series of kicks to the chest to wear him down quickly, finishing his sequence with a sliding lariat. He then made the cover, not expecting this to be enough to keep Wilkow down but, judging by the shocked look on his face, neither expecting him to kick out in one. He went back on the attack and tried to suplex the 290 pounder, unsuccessfully. Drew resisted his attempt and fought back with an elbow strike to the side of the head. He then whipped the stunned Manning against the ropes and caught him on the rebound with a kick to the stomach, lifting him in a powerbomb position and launching him against the corner. His splash attempt found nobody home as Pierce moved away. Taking advantage of the situation, the champion slammed Drew’s face on the turnbuckle pad several times before performing a bridging german suplex to score another near fall. Though he made a name for himself as a fine technical wrestler, Pierce proved tonight to be a proficient brawler as well. holding his own in a rough and intense exchange with the Sandstorm VP. As the exchange went on, Manning got an unexpected edge when he desperately headbutted Drew and followed with a series of quick uppercuts that left the big man standing groggily in the middle of the ring. Pierce hit the ropes and connected a lariat to the back of the head, knocking down the big man. Not even this was enough to get the best of the powerhouse, who used the ropes to pick himself up. Manning threw him on the outside with a clothesline and then distracted the referee to allow Jared Constable to do the dirty job for him. A tactic they played so many times in the past, but tonight it didn’t work as planned. Before Jared could strike, Dread launched a can of Sandstorm Energy to Wilkow, who slammed it on the Establishment jack-of-all-trades’ head. He then downed the drink in one sip and entered the ring. It was the perfect commercial for Hearst’s energy drink, a reinvigorated Wilkow coming back to life and blocking the Man’s strikes, connecting with some heavy shots of his own. Right hand after right hand, he set the opponent up for a bodyslam, dropping an elbow to the chest. His pinfall attempt only got him a two count, but the win wasn’t far away. All he had to do was to wear him further down with a couple of forearms to the jaw and then powerbomb him into the canvas with the Country Roads to pick up the win. At ringside, Dreadnought applauded his Sandstorm Inc. buddy, snatching the title away from Constable’s hands and handing it to Andrew who raised it in the air ending the match with an ominous last image. WINNER: Andrew Wilkow BY: Pinfall (Country Roads), 12:22 |

Amy Maynard: "There's a moral?"
Sir Figgles: "Of course there is one! Forget water, latte, coffee and most importantly champagne. The only drink that will GRANT you the boost you need before a match, it's SANDSTORM ENERGY!"
Amy Maynard: "Stop this, we're not sponored by Devin Hearst's drink."
Sir Figgles: "Well, speak for yourself..."

Backstage, Henri Black is seen pacing back and forth in the locker room area, his usual three piece suit hanging on a hook behind the door, wearing instead black slacks and a singlet.
Henri Black:
As I’m sure you’ve all noticed, I’ve been uncharacteristically silent in the months since By Any Means, and it really doesn’t take a genius to figure out that it’s because of the final match in the best of five series. Now I’m not going to make any excuses, Glory got the better of me that night and you can’t spend that long at somebody’s throat, both figuratively and literally, without developing a certain professional respect.
Reaching into his pocket Henri pulls out a gold locket on a chain and flicks it open, revealing the clock within and nodding to himself before pulling the singlet over his head.
Henri Black:
Don’t get me wrong, Glory is not and will never be on my Christmas card list, but I can say without a shred of hyperbole that she truly is one of the very best professional wrestlers on this planet… but so am I and that series continued to the final fall for a reason. Glory, we both know that I on any given night I can beat you, and if I can beat you then I can beat just about anybody.
Henri strides the length of the room one final time, throwing the singlet down onto the bench and picking up a roll of tape from the shelf to his left.
Henri Black:
Tank Steiner, Liv Mercer and Topher Constantine … I’m not going to downplay the danger that the three of you represent, especially in a match as chaotic as this, but none of you needs this victory as badly as I do, none of you wants it as much as I do… and none of you is as capable of claiming it as I am.
Tearing a foot long strip from the roll Henri wraps it around his thumb before beginning the process of wrapping his wrists as he continues speaking.
Henri Black:
You see I have a burning need, the unrelenting need for one more shot, so Glory I’ll be seeing you at MWE’s Three Year Anniversary and I want you to watch very closely for the next few weeks, maybe you’ll catch a glimpse of the something special I’ve been working on just for you, I promise it’ll be like nothing you’ve ever experienced before.
Henri unbuckles his belt, threading it out of the loops before looking down the lens of the camera
Henri Black:
Do you mind?
With that, the Camera backs through the door and fades to black.

Luna Smith VS NinaNina walked to the ring carrying the Junior Heavyweight Championship she found at Drums In The NIght on her shoulder. “Thief!” Luna yelled as the Chicago born handed the title to the referee who then reminded the two women of the stipulation attached to this match. If Nina wins, she gets a real shot at the Junior Heavyweight Championship. If Luna is the one coming out on top, the Viper won’t have another shot at her and her title. The match started and Luna was determined to teach the former intern a lesson, coming out strong off the block with a flurry of strikes. Not the best idea against someone who was renowned as a brilliant counter wrestler, probably one of the best in the company in that aspect thanks to the training received at Chicago Fight Lab by the former Riot GM Yulia Kirilenko. That, combined with her natural quickness was the key that allowed her to get the best of the opponent in this first part of the match, , staying away from Luna’s Krav Maga offense and hitting her with swift counter strike. After dodging another jumping knee, Nina swept off the Junior Heavyweight champion’s leg, floating right into a leg lock. With a clear plan in mind to weaken her knee for when she will eventually lock her Leg Constrictor in. Luna managed to get to the ropes, not without taking some damage to that right leg. As she stood up to her feet she reached down and massaged her knee, which brought a wicked smile to the Viper’s face. Since her plan clearly wasn’t working, Luna needed a different approach. But first of all, she needed to find a way to end Nina’s onslaught. The Chicago born’s offense was becoming more and more relentless, her strikes always pinpoint and brought with more force- She was not only trying to win the opponent, but to make a statement as well. The Junior Heavyweight champion was able to breach through the opponent’s tight guard and hit her with a throat strike. Nina stumbled back and was immediately caught by the Star Of The Night’s running spanish fly. Smith then flaunted all her agility with acrobatic moves that resulted very effective against the Snakebite. With moves like a springboard legdrop, a slingshot senton and her patented Starstorm (discus spinning roundhouse) the blonde bombshell turned the tides and scored some near falls on the former intern. But at the same time, they took a toll on the leg Nina previously targeted, As a consequence, her movements became slower and more insecure, giving Nina the opportunity to take her knee out with a basement dropkick. Nina worked on the leg some more, seamlessly floating from one submission to the next, showing great improvement since the last time we saw her in action. The ground game had never been Luna’s forte, and the Junior Heavyweight champion found herself in great difficulty. To the point where she seriously considered walking out of the match, leaving the ring after a rope break and heading up the ramp through a rain of boos from the fans. Nina didn’t chase her, sitting down in the middle of the ring as the Junior Heavyweight Champion limped her way backstage. Maybe it was Nina’s passive attitude, or maybe it just clicked in her that, if she left the match, Nina would have won it and be added to the title match at the Three Years Anniversary show. So she rushed back in the ring, assaulting the former intern with an unseen fierceness, looking to score the decisive pinfall that will allow her to get rid once and for all of the challenger. On a couple of occasions she went really close, first with the Dark Side Of Luna and then with a satellite ddt. Nina was still in this match though, kicking out and trying to regroup. Obviously this was the last thing Luna wanted, charging at the cornered opponent and driving both knees to the face. With the Viper down, Luna climbed to the top rope and went for her sparkle splash called Stardom, but she landed on the opponent’s knees. And from that position, Nina grabbed her leg and rolled over, catching the Junior Heavyweight champion in her deadly knee bar. The ropes weren’t too far and Luna almost grabbed them, but Nina once again rolled over toward the centre of the ring, tightening her grasp and adding more torque to the knee, leaving Luna no choice but to tap before getting seriously injured. WINNER: Nina BY: Submission (Leg Constrictor), 11:37 |
Amy Maynard: "She did it! Nina beat Luna and secured herself a spot in the Junior Heavyweight championship match!"
As the bell rang, Nina immediately left the ring, heading to the timekeeper's table and taking the Junior Heavyweight Championship, bringing it with her inside the ring, In her other hand, she was holding a microphone and Nina brought it to her lips. She told the legit champion that she did exactly what she said she would do, beating her fair and square. She added some personal little zingers, concluding her short speech by saying that she was going to just leave, but Luna's poor perfomance changed her mind. She's not worhy carrying the title, and she leaves Nina no other choice but to take it once again away from her. "Luckily..." Nina said. "your disgraceful reign is coming to an end in three weeks."
And with that said, the Viper left the ring.

“Ca in July” blasts through the Enterprise Arena, signalling the arrival of Kelsey Spencer. Through the curtain she strides, the MWE World Championship belt strapped around her waist. One might notice a limp in her step as she makes her way down the ramp and climbs into the ring, barely taking a moment to glimpse at the hard camera as she requests a microphone.
As her theme song fades, she takes her place in the center of the ring, microphone clutched tightly in her fist. She doesn’t even offer a flicker of a smile while running her free hand through her hair, letting it fall gently to the side.
Kelsey Spencer:
You know something? When I heard Riot was coming back tonight, I wanted so much to be able to come out here and express how great it feels to be standing in the middle of this ring again. After all, this show has shaped me into the competitor I am today. Without Riot, and without the devoted Riot fans, I wouldn’t be here. But as much as it pains me, I just can’t do it. I can’t lie to you guys and tell you how awesome I feel, because I really don’t. For the hardcore MWE audience, you can already guess why. You don’t need an explanation. But for those who might’ve missed the latest pay-per-view, Drums In The Night… All I can say is it didn’t end too well for Camp Kelsey. The reason it doesn’t feel great to be standing in this ring tonight is because the last time I was between the wrestling ropes, I couldn’t stand. At Drums In The Night, Christian, Javen and I were left in a group of crumpled heaps by Sandstorm Inc. You could say I bore the brunt of the attack, with a three on one beatdown at the hands of Devin Hearst and his buddies; an attack I had to watch back because I barely remembered any of it. I can feel my jaw throbbing again just thinking about it.
Spencer pauses to wiggle her jaw around, just to double check that nothing is fractured.
Kelsey Spencer:
As painful as that beatdown was, that wasn’t even the worst of it. I’ve been around this sport long enough to know that these things happen. Physicality is at the core of what we do, it’s how we send a message. But Devin Hearst, you took it one step too far when you held up this World Championship -- MY World Championship -- as if it were some symbolic gesture that it’s your property. You didn’t just hurt me physically, you hurt my pride. One thing you need to understand about me, Devin Hearst, is I’m not like most of the modern professional wrestlers you’ve come across. I don’t care about Twitch followers or taking sexy selfies. The only thing I care about when it comes to this is professional wrestling, the spirit of competition. The last 12 years of my life have been devoted to fine tuning my skills to a level where I could win a championship as prestigious as the MWE World Title. For you to put your hands on this title belt and hold it up as if it were your own is something that offends me deeply. In that moment, you went from someone who I admire for their skills and toughness to someone who I’ve got a bone to pick with.
Spencer winces slightly as she turns to the entrance ramp, though she does her best not to sell the reaction.
Kelsey Spencer:
I know you’re here tonight, Hearst. I know you wouldn’t miss an opportunity to come out on television and tell the world that you’re the future champion after what happened at Drums In The Night. So why don’t we save some time? Come on out here so we can sort this out face-to-face.
Almost before she can finish the sentence, The Killer’s “The Man” blasts out through the speakers. There is a long pause before Devin Hearst, dressed in a purple and green hawaiian shirt with the Sandstorm logo across the shoulders and sunglasses hung down the bridge of his nose, saunters out onto the stage … followed by the hulking figures of his hired muscle, Andrew Wilkow and Dreadnought. Hearst is grinning like a cheshire cat, clearly a few drinks in, and swings the microphone in his hand around before growling into it.
Devin Hearst:
Who’s your daddy, Kelsey Spencer? Hold up, I don’t need you to answer, ‘cause I’ve been answering it for years. Of course I was coming out here, Kel! I always was. That ring you’re standing in? The spotlight on you? It’s mine. You only get to share it because of that pretty gold belt right there, and sure, I can call it mine too, but not just yet. I like the hunt, Kelsey. It’s my favorite part, girl! What’s the fun in just being champion if I can’t rip that belt from you first? I get that you want to pull away from the pack and be something different, and you’re right for the most part, but you said this thing about my needing to understand you? Why, Kel Kel, I know you like the back of my hand. How many times have I beaten you, now? Twice? Three times? Doesn’t matter if it’s on your own or with anyone else by your side, the result has remained the same, and I know how badly you want to play this “but this is the NEW me” card like a lot of folks do, but I gotta say … maybe there’s one thing I didn’t see? Maybe there’s one part of you I don’t know?
Hearst fully removes his ungodly expensive shades and places them into the pocket of his shirt, never once taking his hungry eyes away from the champion.
Devin Hearst:
Drums in the Night was supposed to be a message sent, but you sent more of a message just now. I beat your husband and brother-in-law like fucking dogs IN FRONT OF YOU, and you’re telling me I crossed a line … because I picked up your title. They call me heartless. By god, little Kels, you are fucking HEARTLESS! It’s a beautiful thing to see, really. This is what that title does to those who ain’t ready to hold it. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Look at everyone else that’s held it. Hell, look at all the other champions in this goddamn company, past and present, and tell me we aren’t a couple of freakin’ padded rooms and some finger paints away from being an asylum! What I’m going to do to you is a mercy to you, to your hubby, to this entire company! I cannot be corrupted, Kelsey! I’m already there! The difference is, I thrive in this. I rule in the dirt! I’m king here, and all I gotta do is take the crown off of the rolling head of the last person on the throne. So let’s make this thing happen, champ! Accept my challenge, make it official, and let’s get this show on the road! Time is money. Money is everything. I’d like to waste none of it.
After a brief glance at the championship, Kelsey gives a subtle nod and raises her microphone in response.
Kelsey Spencer:
There’s no ‘new me’, Devin. I’m the same old Kelsey Spencer I’ve always been. But there’s one big difference this time around, and it’s the fact that I’m the one wearing the gold. I’ve got the most to lose. That adds a whole new dynamic to this situation. You say you’re already there, that you’re giving me time in YOUR spotlight … I’m a simple woman, Dev. You wanna lay down the challenge, you’d better believe I’m up for it. You wanna go one on one for the most prestigious prize in Millennium Wrestling? You got it.
As we are taken once again backstage, we spot Nina heading toward the exit, carrying her gym bag with her. The Junior Heavyweight championship instead was proudly resting on her shoulder. She opened the door, taking a step out in the Chicago night when a whistle behind her back forced her to turn aroung... Into a spear by Dreadnought. Sandstorm's hired gun picked Nina up and procedeed to beat her down as per the deal he struck with the Star Of The Night. The camera was trying to stay as close as possible to document what soon became a hard-to-watch one way massacre, that ended when Dread threw Nina in a trash can, picking up the title from the floor and heading back inside the arena to give it to the rightful owner. Another job well done for the for the hired gun.
Four Way Elimination Match
#1 Contendership for the Riot Champion
Tank Steiner VS Henri Black VS Topher Constantine Jr VS Liv Mercer #1 Contendership for the Riot Champion
Amy Maynard: “Four competitors will be fighting for a shot at Glory’s Riot championship.” Sir Figgles: “Can I ask you something, Amy?” Amy Maynard: “Sure go ahead..” Sir Figgles: “I don’t like Henri but I can get why he’s in the match. Glory and him fought for that same championship not long ago, he has ground to be in this match. Tank? The guy is a one man army, he’s destined to great things. Liv is a former champion and all…” Amy Maynard: “Oh, I know where you’re going with this..” Sir Figgles: “But why Topher? Dude is a disgrace to this sport, the black sheep of a glorious family. He’s blessed to have a job here, for which I’m sure he should thank Chris. But getting a main event spot? WIth a shot at the brand’s top prize on the line? That’s ridiculous!” Amy Maynard: “I don’t get why you dislike him so much..:” Sir Figgles: “I mean, just look at him..” The fans were in obvious disagreement with Figgles, Topher resulting hands down the most cheered of the pack. And he noticed it, raising his hand to thank and greet the fans as the bell rang. And he paid for it, getting knocked down by Steiner’s Das Boot. Luckily for him he was able to roll under the bottom rope before the Austrian Hulk could capitalize on it with a cover. Henri and Liv weren’t holding back, already going at each other with a flurry of strikes. When Black got the slight advantage connecting four consecutive forearms, Mercer turned the tides driving her knee into his stomach, and followed with a volley of kicks to the sides and ribs. Tank settled their dispute, taking both of them down with a double clothesline. Henri was the first up to his feet, finding himself on the receiving hands of the opponent’s world famous feared chops. The sound his hand made upon impact and the red mark it left on the Blackstar’s pecs should give an idea of the kind of damage it did, with Henri holding his sternum and stumbling back in the corner. Steiner would have gladly hit some more, but the kicks to the thighs he received from Liv took his attention to the former Riot and Junior Heavyweight champion. He raised his hand almost to deliver another chop[. and that gesture alone threw her into a panic. She took a couple of quick steps back, but Tank’s hand never hit her. She got a kick to her face instead, enough to floor her. He spun around and charged at the cornered Henri, squashing him with a splash. Amy Maynard: “Tank is on fire tonight! What a dominant performance so far from the Austrian, following up what he showed in the last minutes of the battle royale.” Sir Figgles: “He’s the biggest threat in this match, without a doubt. They should just gang up and take him out first, then sort it between the two of them.” Amy Maynard: “Uhh, three. Topher is currently out of the ring but he’s still in this match.” Sir Figgles: “Please… He couldn’t pin Tank Steiner if the Austrian was passed out in the middle of the ring after spending a weekend at the Oktoberfest!” Chris’ brother made his presence felt in this match, entering the ring with a springboard forearm strike to the Austrian Hulk, only causing him to stagger lightly. Bravely, Topher unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks to the big man, their effectiveness though remained to be seen. Tank seemed unbothered by them, shoving Constantine to the ground. The Thopster was quickly up to his feet and charged at the behemoth, who easily lifted him and slammed him into the mat with a spinebuster. Henri charged in and hit Tank with a running knee to the side of the head as he was getting up, Liv following up with a hurricanrana. The two rivals did what Figgins suggested, joining forces to take out, or at least wear down Tank Steiner, eventually knocking him to the mat. Constantine was back to his feet, charging at Henri who sent him flying over his head with a back body drop, causing him to land on top of Herr Steiner. Amy Maynard: “I’m not sure if this is what Henri had in mind but it definitely worked.” Sir Figgles: “If this is what eliminates Tank Steiner from the match, I quit my job.” Amy Maynard: “One, two… Thr… Only a two count! Damn, there goes my hope…” The match continued, Tank was now taking on Henri who stood his ground against the heavy hitter, kicking him hard on the kneecap to force him on his knees and then connecting a hard kick to the head. Not enough to keep him down but closer than he ever got before. Topher seemed to be having the upper hand on Liv, taking her down with the Or Whatever (springboard stunner) after a series of Bro’s Chops. Mercer kicked out and was immediately whipped in the corner, managing to get her foot up to counter the charging Constantine. As he stumbled back holding his jaw, Liv climbed up to the middle rope and jumped at him with a crossbody, pinning him to the mat for another near fall. Henri was working on Tank’s leg, twisting and bending his knee that, as everybody knew by now, kept him on the shelf for a few months last year. The look on the Austrian’s face was that of someone who was going through unspeakable pain, but pushing through it, he managed to reach the ropes. Liv tried to score an elimination on Henri, sneaking behind his back and rolling him on his shoulders with a schoolboy pin, holding on his tights too. But the Blackstar kicked out, turning to strike on Liv… And eating Topher’s And Stuff instead. Things didn’t go much better for Liv who was dropped on the canvas by an Austrian suplex. Tank then went on the top rope, the fans already on their feet ready to witness the big man flying, probably with a diving splash. Oz grabbed his feet, saving his girlfriend from getting squashed by the 340 pounder. Tank managed to kick him away but by that time Liv was up on her feet, knocking him seated on the top rope with a punch to the jaw. She then climbed up as well, going for a top rope hurricanrana that turned out to be an awful idea. Steiner in fact blocked it and just dropped her down with a released powerbomb, gracefully (especially considering his size) positioning himself on the top rope with his back turned to the opponent. Everybody knew what was coming next, Der große Kaboom. The incredible moonsault hit the mark, and the match was over from Liv. Amy Maynard: “And we’re down to three!” Sir Figgles: “I never thought I’d see a bear flying but here we are.” Amy Maynard: “I wouldn’t say that in his face… HEY COME ON!” Liv didn’t take too well the elimination, pushing away the referee who helped her up to her feet and took the big man down with a chop block. And then she took out her frustration on Tank’s knee, stomping it and applying a figure four. The referee had to literally separate her, and finally the former champion left the ring, leaving her opponent in agony on the mat. Henri noticed it and threw Topher over the top rope, grabbing Steiner’s foot and ruthlessly twisting it, applying his Memento Mori ankle lock. The Austrian Hulk tried to resist, slowly crawling toward the ropes. And he almost reached them, but at that point Henri pulled him away and switched into a knee bar. The pain became too much and rather than spent another couple of months on the shelf, Tank tapped out. Sir Figgles: “I never thought I’d see a bear tapping out either..” Amy Maynard: “And just like that, Tank is out as well. Surely, he won’t be happy with how the elimination happened.” Sir Figgles: “He tapped out, there’s nothing and nobody to blame but himself.” Amy Maynard: “Right. Let’s just pretend Liv didn’t attack him when she was already eliminated…” Henri Black and Topher Constantine Junior. One of these two men will face Glory Braddock at the Third Year Anniversary event. And the odds are all in Henri’s favor, the Australian controlling the match. Toph’s best quality was definitely his speed, and the Blackstar’s plan was taking that away from him with a slow paced offense consisting in hard strikes and submissions. His triple german suplex couldn’t keep Constantine down, and Topher kicked out from the Black Diamond too. Black was methodical in his attacks, taking his time to punish Constantine. Perhaps too much. When Henri lifted him for the powerslam, Topher slipped away, jumping on the opponent’s back and dragging him down into a double knee backbreaker. Amy Maynard: “You have to give Topher credit though. He’s still in this match, still fighting.” Sir Figgles: I will never do such a thing.” Constantine’s second wind earned him a few near falls, some really close like when he caught the Blackstar with the Most Def. Henri raised the shoulder at the last moment, rolling under the bottom rope to catch his breath after the big scare. Constantine wanted to strike while the iron was hot, but Henri ducked his right and drove his shoulder through the ropes and into Toph’s mid-section. Henri then connected an enziguri from the apron, buying himself a few more seconds before entering the ring. Amy Maynard: “Is that… Neil Newman?” Indeed it was. The member of the Glorious Golden Era grabbed Black’s foot and dragged him down, his face connecting on the apron. The referee and Topher watched helplessly as Neil powerbombed The Blackstar on the hardest part of the ring, He then rolled him back inside the ring, offering Topher the opportunity of a lifetime. “Not cool, bro.” Constantine said to Newman before reluctantly making the cover and picking up a highly controversial win. WINNER: Topher Constantine Junior BY: Pinfall (Apron Powerbomb), 18:47 |
Sir Figgles:
What have you done, Neil?
Amy Maynard:
I thought you were a fan of the Glorious Golden Era and all their shenanigans.
