Big In Japan Tour
Millennium XLIX
Live from Yokohama Arena in Yokohama
Wednesday, January 8th, 2020
The first show of 2020 takes us inside the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan for the first stop of the Big In Japan Tour. There's a lot at stakes here tonight, questions that needs to be answered, situations that must be addressed... And of course, a stacked card to entertain the Japanese fans. Peyton and Jessi will get on all that after the usual introduction, complete with "When Legends Rise" blasting out of the loudspeakers and the display of pyrotechnics exploding on the stage.
Peyton Holland:
Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Millennium 49!
Jessi Idol:
We're in Japan Pey! How cool is that?
Peyton Holland:
It's been a blast so far, and this crowd is hot and ready for this great night of action.
Jessi Idol:
I was backstage earlier and let me tell you, it's a whole different feeling from the last tour. Everyone seems more relaxed, no tension a lot of smiles..
Peyton Holland:
Yeah, but we have no time to dwell on the past. It's a new tour, a new chapter, new challenges for the guys backstage...
Jessi Idol:
Like Tiffany for example. The Cloud Gate Champion, who's one day away from the historic one year mark, finds herself now without a challenger. And she confirmed she will address that later tonight.
Peyton Holland:
The other champions will be in action as well, Hammerstein as he takes on Miss Malice, Duke Andrews and Melissa Reeves on opposite sides in our tag team main event.
Jessi Idol:
That's right, the MWE Champion will be teaming uo with Bobbi Jackson to challenge APE, or at least what's left of them.
Peyton Holland:
Yeah, everybody knows by now that Redd Thunder has left the company. The reason? Well, take a look at this.
The tron comes to life, bringing us back to night two of Way Of The Dragon. The main event just ended, we can still hear the fans cheering for Melissa Reeves who has just retained her title in a first blood match against Redd Thunder. And this only seems to piss off the big man even more. Duke Andrews and Chris Constantine are trying to calm him down, failing spectacularly. Everything on Redd's gets thrown away, thus including those heavy crates that can be found backstage, various props like tables, chairs... Not even the promotional material is safe, a cardboard representing Melissa Reeves gets beheaded by Redd's massive fist, a poster gets ripped from the wall and tossed against an innocent stagehand.
Chris Constantine Junior:
Redd, buddy... Calm down. Reeves got lucky, everybody knows you were going to destroy her!
But his words fall on deaf ears. The Thunder keeps going on his path of destruction, leading God only knows where, trampling everything, object or person, unlucky enough to stand on his way. Moments like this explain why the powerhouse earned himself the moniker of walking disaster. Duke is catching up with his two team mates after stopping to check on a poor young backstage worker who has just been sent through a wall by Redd.
Duke Andrews:
We'll get back at her, big man. We are the American Pain Experience, they have no idea what we have in store for this place.
Nothing seems to calm the walking mountain who has left a trail of broken bodies and furniture behind his shoulders. Chris almost apologise to the last security member slammed against the wall by Redd's backhand.
Chloe Collins:
Enough! I need you to calm down, Redd.
Comes the voice of the Millennium General Manager. Duke laughs loudly, it's no secret that there's no love loss between him and Chloe. Elsa McCarthy, Grace van Beek's personal assistant has now joined miss Collins, outside the room used as the GM's office.
Redd Thunder:
Me wants a rematch! Me wants the title!
The big man bellows in the General Manager's face who doesn't flinch.
Chloe Collins:
You had your choice, and you lost. If you want another one, earn it.
She stands her ground bravely. Redd can't take a no for an answer. shaking his hand and cracking his knuckles. Is he going to hit the General Manager? That seems to be Chris fear, as he steps in front of his best friend and pleads him to take a deep breath and calm down.
Elsa McCarthy:
I advise you to consider your options, mister Thunder. Your actions will have consequences, you attacked various MWE employees, and that's something we won't tolerate.
Redd Thunder:
ME. WANTS. ANOTHER. MATCH.
He grunts at the two girls. A third figure appears on the door, and although she remains in the dim-light, it doesn't take a genius to identify her as Grace van Beek. And when she calls "Security" with her calm and authoritative voice, every shadow of a doubt disappears. A swarm of men in black storms to the scene from different directions, trying to block Redd. The big man fends for himself, delivering as much punishment as he takes, sending some of those men to dreamland. One of them, pushed back from the Walking Disaster ended up crashing against Elsa, knocking the poor girl down. That was the last straw, Ryen Riekert, obviously called by Grace herself, comes out of the office and leads the charge to Redd, followed by his trusted men, members of van Beek's personal security. The four south africans manage to tame the already worn down beast, finally blocking him.
Chloe Collins:
Elsa! Are you ok?
Ask Chloe, helping her friend back to her feet. The young assistant nods, looking more embarrassed than hurt.
Chloe Collins:
I warned you, Redd... But you guys never listen, do you?
She shoots a glance at Duke, him as well is being hold by a couple of security members.
Chloe Collins:
Effective immediately, you're no longer an employer of Millennium Wrestling Enterprise. Good luck in your future endeavors.
The three members of APE immediately protest Chloe's decision, but the General Manager doesn't even look at them, turning on her heels and reaching Grace and Elsa in the office, leaving security to deal with the trio. The camera fades to black.
Backstage we go, where we see Null clearly fuming. The Working Class Hero stares into the camera, lips curled in anger as he goes to speak, only to stop just before a sound can escape. Pausing for a moment, Null snaps his mouth shut before shaking his head. Tapping on his chin, an idea strikes Null, prompting the Wolf boy to open his mouth once again. Rather than speak, Null freezes up before a look of disgust crosses his face, waving off the idea with a swipe of his hands. Five seconds after this, subtitles start to appear on the screen as Null continues to look frustrated.
Null is refusing to cut a promo in protest of this match.
That's right, he's not talking.
Null nods his head, beginning to act out while continuing to not make a sound.
But if he was, he would say that it's great to be in a country that wouldn't limit his speech. Having been silenced by "Powers That Be", Null is glad to be able to have his voice heard once more.
This is not an attack on YUKI. To be honest, Null has no idea who Yuki is.
Another nod of the head, followed by a comical shrug.
Perhaps she's new?
Either way, this isn't about her. This is about management themselves, and Null being left out of the loop due to his outspoken nature. Millennium officials always knew of Null's feelings, and yet rather than side with their loyal employee, officials cowed under pressure and kept Null out of the loop rather than give him the platform they always have. They silenced Null, and now Null is showing them what happens.
Null spreads his arms out, giving the camera a knowing look.
How long will this last? We can't say. We don't know if Millennium would even offer an apology, or if they continue to toe the company line and refuse to comment. But until such a time, Null will be silently protesting every match he is involved in. And while he will continue to compete, he has taken a vow of silence.
An enthusiastic nod, followed by Null folding his arms across his chest.
So ask yourselves, what would you rather have? A happy and appreciated Null, his voice filled with joy?
Or these subtitles, constantly floating by and taking up precious time?
An eyebrow raises as Null shifts his body, now his left side facing the camera as he looks across his shoulder.
You decide, Millennium.
Turning his head up proudly, Null walks off, the subtitles sticking around for a few moments longer before dissipating.
Singles Match
Yuki VS NullTonight marked the first match in Millennium for Yuki, recently drafted to the green brand after making her Riot debut during the Chinese tour. Facing her tonight was the returning Null, one half of the currently disbanded team of The Mighty Now Thrive who decided not to take part on the Way Of The Dragon tour. The matched started with both competitors pushing on the gas, the action so fast it was hard for the commentary team to keep track on what was happening, especially when they began trying to surprise each other with quick roll ups and pinning predicaments. Yuki grabbed both of Null’s legs and took him down, trying to make another cover with a jackknife hold. But when she went for the flip, Null countered her attempt and pinned her shoulders down for the closest of near falls. The young Japanese, without a doubt the most cheered between the two in this opening contest, tried to pull herself up, but received a nasty kick to the head for her troubles that took her one more time down to the floor. The Wolf Of All Streets tried another pinning predicament after a standing moonsault, finding once again Yuki ready to kick out in two, The Little Kaiju seemed to be struggling tonight, maybe the pressure of performing in front of her home crowd was too much to handle, or maybe it was all Null’s credit for fighting what was probably his best match since the split with Kid Terra. But the Wolf boy was in full control tonight, obtaining another near fall with his Worker’s Comp (Backslide Driver). Yuki was somehow able to turn things around and build some momentum after stunning Null with a stiff headbutt out of desperation. The wolf boy backed down a few steps, checking his nose that, only out of sheer luck, didn’t get busted by the hard headbutt. Yuki wasted no time and sent him flying across the ring with a headscissors, following with a dropkick to the back of the seating opponent. The fans came to life when Yuki connected a springboard senton to end a long kicking sequence, but the pinning predicament that followed only gave her a two. The pace picked up again, the young japanese delighted the crowd with a springboard armdrag followed by a shining wizard. She didn’t stop there, climbing up to the top rope and flying off it with a 450 splash. Once again Null raised his shoulder. The Voice Of The Voiceless reversed an irish whip and charged at the cornered opponent with The Prowl (leaping spear), looking to end the match with the spinning back kick to the face called The Kill. Yuki dropped down and avoided the kick, pinning Null down with a schoolboy pin, getting real close to the win. The two were once again up to their feet, Yuki went for a right hook ducked by Null who quicky rolled her on her shoulders with the Magic Clutch (Gannosuke Clutch), kicking off the Big In Japan tour with a win. WINNER: Null BY: Pinfall (Magic Clutch), 6:41 |
Peyton Holland: "He may not speak, but sure he let facts do the talking tonight."
Jessi Idol: "Yuki must be so disappointed, losing her debut match in Millennium in front of her home crowd."
Peyton Holland: "She's young and talented, she has all that takes to be successful in this company. It's just a minor stepback"

We cut away from the action to see The Canadian Knightmare, Nikki Knight pacing back and forth backstage. She didn’t have her usual arrogance, but rather what seemed to be anger and frustration.
Nikki Knight:
I don’t like losing. At all. And normally this is when I’d be offering threats to my opponent, Swayze Dial. But honestly I’m not going to bother. No, you see I’ve had a shitty new year. A real bad one so far. You want to know why that is? Nobody likes reruns.
Nik lets that settle for a minute as she glared at the camera and finally stopped her pacing.
Nikki Knight:
Seven years ago. Count it. SEVEN DAMN YEARS, my younger sister Ashley decided in all her ‘infinite wisdom’ that trying to damn near cripple me would be a way for her to get attention. I was told there was a chance I’d never wrestle again, all because my own flesh and blood decided a backstage mugging was the right thing to do. I returned, however, and beat the ever living shit out of this disgrace of a human being. Y’know, the kind of person who stabs every friend in the back then cries when she’s all alone. The kind of person who thinks they can reclaim some kind of glory by literally doing the same crap they began nearly a decade ago. For, what I can fathom, being the exact same reason. As if it’s going to fix anything. But if you do want this again, I’ll make sure you get to experience everything you put me through, and more.
The blonde took a breath and ran her fingers through her hair.
Nikki Knight:
So Swayze, sorry but you’re not my opponent tonight. You’re my stress relief, and every little bit of frustration and aggravation running through my head over this repetition of history is going to be unleashed on you.

Nikki Knight VS Swayze DialNikki seemed amused by the way the Pocket Dial was acting all tough, flexing and trying to look intimidating, even challenging her to a test of strength. She laughed at him and kicked him in the stomach instead, grabbing him by his head and hair and toss him halfway across the ring. Swayze stood up and charged back at her, running into a kick to the stomach that turned him inside out. Nikki picked him up and connected a few suplexes, attempting then a pinfall predicament from which Dial kicked out in two. The Canadian Knightmare maintained control throughout the whole first part of the match with various holds and takedowns, once again coming close the win with a bridging german suplex. Instead of continuing to wear him down with the mat wrestling based offense that paid out so well in the first part of the match, she decided to kick it up a notch, speeding up the pace of the match. She fired Swayze in the corner and rushed at him, finding nothing but the turnbuckle as Dial moved out of the way and quickly sneaked behind her and hit Nikki with a dropkick to the spine. Once again the canadian bounced hard against the corner chest first. Swayze wrapped his arms around her and went for a bold german suplex, obviously failing to lift the opponent who bumped backwards with her rear, creating some separation between her and Dial. She then spun and hit him with a discus lariat for another near fall. Every time the pace of the match picked up, Swayze proved that size doesn’t matter, when you have heart and passion as big as his. After ducking a clothesline, he hit her with a springboard back elbow, rolling backwards and back to her feet kicking the opponent hard on the back. He then climbed to the top rope and, from there, jumped on her with a frog splash, Nikki kicked out in two. Another near fall came after a float over ddt that saw Knight reaching for the bottom rope with her foot to break up the pin. The experience eventually came into play, and Nikki shifted the momentum back on her side when she sent Swayze in the corner with an irish whip and followed with a cannonball crush. With her hard kicks she broke down the last resistance Dial was putting up, eventually planting him with her snapmare driver. She smirked at the fans, before hooking the leg and picking up the win, thanks to her Knightmare. WINNER: Nikki Knight BY: Pinfall (Knightmare), 5:32 |
Jessi Idol: "And that's all she wrote. Nikki starts the Japan tour with a win."
Peyton Holland: "Maybe all she needed was this little family reunion..."
Jessi Idol: "Uhh, I don't think she's actually that happy to see her sister here."
Peyton Holland: "That was sarcasm, Jessi."

Everything comes into focus and as it does we are treated to the sight of newly signed MWE wrestling beauty Ashley Whitmore. She can’t help but grin as she is clad in her Canadian wrestling attire. She is all giggles as she runs her hands through her hair as she looks deeply into the lens of the camera.
Ashley Whitmore:
Wow would you look at that. It seems like we are in Japan. Now Japan isn’t like my beloved Canada as everything Canada is better than anything else in the entire world but I just want to say from the bottom of my heart that it feels great to be a part of this company. I was able to gain some exposure in the Chaos tournament a little while ago but I don’t think that me bleeding is really how I should be remembered especially considering when I know that first impressions means everything in the world.
Ashley smirks as she continues to speak.
Ashley Whitmore:
Now I demand some proper respect especially considering that I am expecting to do something big tonight. Last time was about showing just a glimpse of what I could do but tonight it’s all about making an impact. Making a huge splash in which I could be remembered for a long time, and I pride myself on being better than the rest. Some might be average, or fall short of that. However I am hitting all the marks. I am the perfect score. I am Miss 4.0 herself and everything I do is simply better than everybody else in this company.
Ashley smiles again as she continues to speak.
Ashley Whitmore:
I received the best possible training I could in Mexico. I have learned my craft of wrestling from Crystal Hilton’s wrestling school. Some might respect that name, some might shit on it but I plan to take everything that you might know about her and I plan to exceed way beyond everything that she has accomplished here. Everywhere I go I immediately set the standard of how things should be done. Now I know you expect an EMP to be dropped. I know that might get in the way and try to mess up my sense of direction, my radar, but I can guarantee that I will still be on everybody’s radar after tonight. Not even an EMP will be enough to stop yours truly.
Ashley smiles again speaking again.
Ashley Whitmore:
I have worked way too fucking hard to let this huge debut go down in flames. I have nowhere left to go. You could say I am the black sheep of my family and perhaps I might be turning back the clock by seeking my revenge. At the end of the day who really cares. It shouldn’t matter why I came to this company. The only thing that should matter is that I am here right now which means something big should be happening. I am the future of this company and I know it might seem a lot for me to live up to the Whitmore name. With a sister like Misty who has accomplished so much and of course there is Nikki… Then again what has Nikki really done?!”
Ashley shrugs her shoulders as she continues to speak.
Ashley Whitmore:
The answer is nothing. I have been away for the past six years perfecting every single bit of my craft. Things may have not worked out for me in the past but tonight is the start of something new. Tonight is going to be a great night and I am going to give every single bit of myself to go out there and make something happen. So bring on the challenge EMP I assure you it still won’t be enough. Now if you would excuse me. I have a match to get ready for…
Singles Match
Ashley Whitmore VS E.M.P.Still chasing that first win, Erin walked into this match in a better shape than she was at Red Line, and that despite the beatdown she suffered in her match. Ashley Whitmore signed her contract after the Chicago event, and never hid the fact that she has her eyes on her sister, Nikki Knight. With an aggressive start she surprised EMP who found herself pushed back against the corner, a flurry of kicks landing on her ribs and the left shoulder she favored in her match a little over a week ago. Twisting that same arm, she flipped Erin over and took her to the mat, landing a legdrop and sliding in for a lateral press. Paige kicked out and rolled under the bottom rope, taking a break out of the ring. Ashley flew through the ropes with a suicide dive, but sometimes the high risks don’t pay out. EMP read the opponent’s intentions and moved out of the way, leaving Ashley to crash hard on the floor. Erin wasn’t one to waste on chances like this, using the full ten count to punish the opponent, bouncing her from the barricades to the apron, exploiting the environment to inflict as much damage as she could before bringing the fight back in the ring. She stomped Whitmore a couple of times before climbing to the second rope and jumping, dropping the leg across the opponent’s throat, trying to put her away with a cover but only obtaining a two count. Could tonight be the first success in Erin’s still young career? Certainly the Californian was believing it, growing more confident as the match went on. After hitting Ashley with some hard strikes, she climbed to the top rope, ready to close the match with her cannonball senton. Whitmore raised her knees making her landing extremely painful, trying to capitalize on it with a quick roll up. It wasn’t enough to keep Erin down, nor was the snap reverse ddt that followed right after. The young rookie already proved to be able to take a lot of punishment, something that Ashley was learning here tonight. No matter what she threw at the young Californian, Erin kept getting up, almost asking for more. Whitmore was more than happy to deliver, knocking her down with a roundhouse kick and climbing on the top rope for a diving bulldog. The move connected, but Erin refused to stay down, even finding the strength to try a comeback, with some headbutts and kicks, trying another pin after a ddt. But in the end Whitmore was able to turn things around, planting EMP with her Brain Dead Brainbuster and sliding on top of her, using the ropes to make sure she didn’t kick out this time. WINNER: Ashley Whitmore BY: Pinfall (Brain Dead Brainbuster), 7:23 |
Peyton Holland: "Another tough break for Erin, Ashely is your winner."
Jessi Idol: "Hey, can I say that I saw some progress from Erin? She just needs to keep working hard and soon she'll get that elusive first win."
Peyton Holland: "Sure thing. Ashley, instead, started the Big In Japan tour with the right foot. And let me tell you, this looked like a message sent to her sister.
Jessi Idol: "Hey, can I say that I saw some progress from Erin? She just needs to keep working hard and soon she'll get that elusive first win."

We open in a luxurious bedroom. It is a place fit for royalty itself to slumber, with comfortable carpeting, a king sized bed, and a multitude of expensive artwork lining the walls and luxurious furniture decorating this room. Some noise, probably movement, gets the attention of our camera which pans over and catches the sight of the backside of a brown haired woman just as she is stepping into a tight dark green dress. She pulls it on and sets it in place and stands up on black patent leather high heel pumps. Just then a knocking is heard…
Summer Collins:
Come in!
Collins grins from ear to ear as she turns and opens her arms wide in time greet the visitor, her best friend, “The Archangel” Jessica Lasiewicz, with a tight sisterly embrace. The Archangel is wearing a sleeveless black top, black knee length skirt, black stockings, and black open toed high heeled sandals. After breaking the embrace Jessica points to the camera.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
You realize you left the camera running, right Summer?
Summer Collins:
Oh but of course, looking is fine. They can look but never touch…
Collins turns and winks playfully at the camera.
Summer Collins:
In your dreams!
Jessica Lasiewicz:
In your dreams, indeed.
The Archangel turns to face the camera. Now both she and her partner and friend Summer are facing the camera. Both ladies have confident grins upon their gorgeous features.
Summer Collins:
What you are looking at is the ultimate evolution of tag team wrestling. Jessica and myself are the total package in terms of intelligence, wrestling skill, and of course beauty. Tell them all about it, Jess.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
Summer here is the sister of former professional wrestler Michael Collins. Michael’s wife Meagan Collins even became a wrestler and both achieved some success but Summer went above and beyond both of them, becoming a multi-time tag champion as well as a GCW X Division Champion and GFC Commonwealth Champion. She also has so much money that she doesn’t even know what to do with it all…
Collins giggles slightly.
Summer Collins:
As for me, my mother is Angelica Jones...a former thirteen time world champion and the matriarch of the famous Jones wrestling family. My father is Andreas Lasiewicz, also a former thirteen time world champion and the patriarch of the famous Lasiewicz family. That is a combined twenty-six world titles between my two parents. I myself am a former world champion and I intend to add to my family’s ever growing legacy of greatness. Do you think I learned my lessons well from my mother and father?
The Archangel nods her head.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
Damn right I did. But this isn’t the first time Summer’s family and my family united for a common cause. Summer’s sister-in-law Meagan Collins and my mother Angelica Jones once united under the name Fame & Fortune to become multi-time tag team champions. Now Summer and I are continuing that legacy under the banner and name of Fabulous, because we are absolutely Fabulous.
Collins holds up two fingers.
Summer Collins:
Two times we have been tag team champions in Global Championship Wrestling but now we decided it is time to expand our reach and our influence in the world of professional wrestling, because quite frankly we can. We can go anywhere we want and dominate because we truly believe that we are THE best tag team in professional wrestling and we are prepared to prove it yet again to the MWE universe and it starts with the Hooligunnz.
The Archangel turns and looks at Summer with a confused look upon her face.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
HooligunnZ? Is that with a “Z”?
Summer Collins:
Yes, a “Z”...
Jessica Lasiewicz:
…
Did you hear that ellipses? I bet you did!
Summer Collins:
Spectre, Trey, despite the way it sounds, we do take the challenge that you present to us very seriously. This is a brand new start for Jess and myself and while we truly believe in ourselves, we are not going to look past you. You are going to get the best…
Jessica Lasiewicz:
No, not the best. They are going to get an absolutely Fabulous performance from the two of us. And the fans will get an absolutely Fabulous match to watch when they see us break Spectre and Trey down, slowly but surely, piece by piece, until we eventually beat them...whether it by pin or submission, it doesn’t matter...though I wouldn’t mind using my dad’s move…
Summer Collins:
Four Card Trick?
Jessica Lasiewicz:
Of course!
Collins and Lasiewicz laugh in unison.
Summer Collins:
So HooligunnZ, come ready to bring your A-Game, give us the best fight you can give, but if you have any thoughts of winning in the Land of the Rising Sun, well we just have three words for you…
Summer and Jessica:
IN YOUR DREAMS!
Tag Team Match
Fabulous VS The HooligunnZ
First match for Fabulous in Millennium, and it’s one hell of a challenge, as Jessica Lasiewicz (cousin of the fellow Millennium superstar Anastasia Starling) and Summer Collins are going up against the former MWE Tag Team Champions, the HooligunnZ. Trey Cole and Spectre were looking for a win to get back on track and start their way back to the top, not even waiting for the bell to ring to attack the newcomers, blindsiding them with simultaneous forearm strikes. They both grabbed the opponent’s hands and sent them against the ropes, Jessica and Summer hung on them and stopped their run. The HooligunnZ charged at them and were sent over the top rope, landing on the apron where they quickly rocked the two girls with a double enziguri. A quick nod between the two former champions and they jumped on the top rope, using it as a springboard to dive and take down the Fabulous with missile dropkicks. Order was restored when Spectre tossed Jessica out of the ring and jumped onto her with a beautiful corkscrew plancha. This left Cole in the ring with Summer, and the Hooligunn was in full control, thanks to the initial assault. The Father Of Finesse stayed on the attack with hard and swift kicking combinations to wear the opponent down, sending her against the ropes and catching her with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Trey and Spectre had isolated Collins, keeping her in the corner and under constant pressure with quick tags, even giving her a Full Death Experience (double wristlock knee strike). Despite the name, though, Summer was still alive. And kicking. Neil Newman’s wife was known for her incredible endurance, and tonight she proved it to the MWE fans. Kicking out from Spectre’s Archer Approved (springboard cutter), Collins finally began building some momentum with a flurry of forearm strikes to Spectre and a few elbow strikes to Cole on the apron, pushing herself out of the enemy’s corner. The Swoltergeist reacted with a right hook that seemed to stun the opponent and push her back in the same dangerous spot she was before. Summer kicked him in the stomach and hit her patented stunner called Money Clip, finally creating the opening to tag Jessica in. The daughter of Andreas Lasiewicz was welcomed by the cheers of the fans, her fame and her father’s name clearly meaning something around here. And the Archangel lived up her the hype, completely changing the course of the match with her lethal kicks and picture perfect suplex. Spectre barely kicked out from a capture suplex, his partner had to save him from a move that’s becoming quite familiar amongst the Millennium fans, having been used by Anastasia Starling as a tribute to her mother, the bicycle kick Lady Magdalena made famous with the name of Our Lady Peace. Eventually Spectre was able to make the tag to Cole who, with his incredible quickness and agility, was causing more than one problem to the Archangel. With a corner exploder suplex, he sent her against the turnbuckle, tagging his partner back in. He followed with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker into a diving foot stomp by Spectre, only obtaining a two. Wasting no time, the HolligunnZ went for another team move, the elaborate but effective More Fang For You’re Fucked that gave them the win in their title match against The Happy Few. There was the rolling fireman’s carry from Spectre, the 450 splash from Cole but when the Die Fly tried his double jump phoenix splash, Summer hit the ropes causing the opponent to lose balance and land hard on the apron, rolling to the outside. Trey was still the legal man and, although concerned for his partner, tried to win the match with match climbing to the top rope for his Wake Up! It’s 6:30. But too long has passed, giving Jessica time to recover and roll out of the way. When Cole crashed on the mat, Lasiewicz made the tag to Collins. Summer applied a waistlock on Trey, holding him still for Jessica’s Our Lady Peace. Using the momentum of the kick, Collins pinned Trey to the mat with a bridging german suplex sealing the first victory for Fabulous. WINNER: Fabulous BY: Pinfall (In Your Dreams), 12:03 |

In the backstage area, the camera finds Melissa Reeves and Bobbi Jackson deep in discussion about tonight’s tag bout, pitting them against A.P.E.
Melissa Reeves:
I dunno...it’s not often the booking here actually grants me what I want.
Reeves shrugs, sitting herself into a chair as she laces her boots.
Melissa Reeves:
But tonight is one of those times. Those guys need taking down a peg.
Bobbi nods in agreement, her gear already on and she’s ready to go. She has been for a while. It’s something about being in Japan that excites her to wrestle just a little bit more. It’s been a while since she’s performed here and she’s excited to be back.
Bobbi Jackson:
Look at it this way, you already ran big Redd out of Millennium. The guy hasn’t been seen since you made him bleed a few weeks ago. So this little group of theirs? They’ve already lost one member and it was clearly their muscle. Their heavy hitter. Without him? Tonight we show them what a mistake it was to continually mess with BOTH of us.
Bobbi slams a fist in her hand in frustration. She is beyond sick of Duke Andrews and his cowardly tactics. Tonight she was going to make an example out of him and prove to the world why she should be the MWE Lockdown Champion.
Melissa Reeves:
I have to admit, Redd’s exit surprised me. I don’t take any pride in people leaving because I did my job, but equally, I won’t even do anything but my job just because of that threat.
Mel shrugs.
Melissa Reeves:
But you’re right. Tonight is our chance to actually get our hands on them, to exact our revenge. I know for sure Duke has more than screwed you over. We have this chance now, let’s take it.
Bobbi nods as she stands up out of her chair and takes a long deep breath before placing a hand on the lockers next to her, leaning into it slightly.
Bobbi Jackson:
Management gave us what we wanted, now we just have to take advantage of it. We’re going to show A.P.E....
Bobbi says rolling her eyes at the name while she uses quotations with her free hand.
Bobbi Jackson:
What happens when you choose to continuously fuck around with Melissa Reeves and Bobbi Jackson. It’s time for this Phoenix to rise in Japan like the sun.
That draws a little giggle from Melissa.
Melissa Reeves:
Fitting imagery. Me? I plan to just kick the crap out of them. If they manage to actually learn something from it then good for them. It’d be more intelligence than they’ve ever shown.
She stands now, boots laced and ready to go.
Melissa Reeves:
Ready?
Bobbi stands up straight and nods again as she reaches out and fist bumps Reeves.
Bobbi Jackson:
Absolutely, I am. Let’s go kick some ass!
Reeves grabs her title and gives Bobbi one last look, before heading toward the exit first.
Singles Match
Luna VS Kenzie GarrettWith the memories of her incredible win at Red Line were still fresh in the brains of the MWE fans, and the signs of the gruesome battles she went through to earn a title shot against Hammerstein still visible on her body, Kenzie Garrett walked into this match welcomed by the loud cheers of the Japanese crowd. Her opponent Luna was waiting for her inside the ring, in an entirely different mood after coming up short in her match against Tiff Rollins and Ana Starling at Way Of The Dragon, when she failed for the second time to capture the Cloud Gate Championship. It was now back to square one for the Star Of The Night, in dire need to get her career back on the right track. Determined and aggressive right out of the gate, the former Lockdown Champion surprised Kenzie with some lightning quick kicks, showing off her martial arts background. She then fired Kenzie against the ropes, going for a clothesline as she came back. The next contender to the Chicago Way Championship jumped back with a springboard back elbow, scouted by Luna who jumped and caught Garrett in mid air driving her onto her knees with a backstabber. The unexpected and spectacular counter raised an “oooh” from the fans, who watched the blonde girl making the cover. And go off when Kenzie kicked out. This new side of Luna was paying off, giving Kenzie no room to breath. There had been a moment, in all fairness, when Kenzie looked like she was able to turn things around, finally landing some right hands to Smith. But the Star Of The Night countered with a throat strike, quickly catching her with a clinch hold while she was still coughing and catching her breath and driving the knee to her face twice, following with an overdrive neckbreaker. Once again Kenzie raised her shoulder in time, rolling out of the ring while Luna was complaining with the referee. The Soulknife began pacing around the ring, looking for a new game plan to gain control of the match. Luna followed her outside, clubbing her back with a heavy forearm strike that dropped Kenzie on her knees. Luna picked her up and went for an irish whip, destination the ring post. Garrett countered it and sent the former Lockdown champion head first against the steel post, a big smile forming on her face as she realized this could be the turning point of the match. Some chops to the chest to weaken her down, then Kenzie lifted Luna on her shoulders in a fireman carry’s position and tossed her back first against the apron. The referee’s count had now reached the eight, Garrett rolled the opponent back inside the ring and made her first pinfall attempt, resulting in a two count. Even though this last part of the match saw Kenzie pretty much in full control, Luna almost pulled the upset when she surprised Kenzie with a running spanish fly out of nowhere. Garrett kicked out, the confidence she was showing up to that moment undermined by how quickly and unexpectedly Luna turned the tides and scored the closest of near falls. The former Lockdown Champion capitalized on the favorable moment, once again coming close to the three with the Starstorm (discus spinning roundhouse kick). Her personal war with the referee, accused once again to be too slow in his count costed Luna the match, as it gave Kenzie time to recover and get back to her feet, spinning Luna around into a ripcord lariat. Garrett was now a woman possessed, barking at Luna to stand up and welcoming her with a roaring elbow that knocked Smith against the ropes. from where Kenzie sent her to the opposite side of the ring and connected one of her trademark hurricanrana. A couple of near falls later, she kicked the groggy Luna in the stomach and planted her with the Grim Fandango, picking up the first win in Japan. WINNER: Kenzie Garrett BY: Pinfall (Grim Fandango), 10:23 |
Jessi Idol: "Another big win! 2020 is going to be the year of Kenzie Garrett, I'm telling you!"
Peyton Holland: "Technically, Red Line happened at the end of last year..."
Jessi Idol: "Shhh! Don't ruin this with your logic!"

The show switches to the backstage area and the camera settles in on Reese Kennedy.
Reese Kennedy:
Finally, The Powers That Be in Millennium have scheduled a tour in a country that doesn't oppress its people or stifle the free exercise of their conscience while twisting the truth to fit their narrative.
A sly smile crosses the manager's lips.
Reese Kennedy:
Speaking of twisting the truth to fit their narrative, hello there, Kenzie Garrett. Ms. Garrett, how did it feel, in the aftermath of your hard fought victory at The Red Line, when you saw YOUR Chicago Way Champion, The American Monster Jacob Hammerstein, standing before you? He wasn't running nor was he cowering as you would have everyone believe.
Kennedy's smile turns to a look of vindication.
Reese Kennedy:
How does it feel to see the feeble house of cards that is this whole sham of a story about how The American Monster...YOUR Chicago Way Champion...fears you, goes up in flames before your very eyes.
The smug look returns to Kennedy's face.
Reese Kennedy:
Kind of like your chances in your second chance at the Chicago Way Title.
But Ms. Garrett's professional demise in Millennium is yet to come. Tonight, in Yokohama, The Gaijin Kaiju, The Amerikanmonsutā, Jacob Hammerstein goes to war with Miss Malice.
Kennedy strokes his chin, as if in deep thought.
Reese Kennedy:
I really wish I could come up with something original to say about Miss Malice, but how can I say something original about someone so unoriginal?
Kennedy looks to his left and grins.
Reese Kennedy:
What do you have to say, Champ?
The Yokohama crowd comes alive as Hammerstein steps into the shot.
Hammerstein:
Kon'nichiwa, Yokohama.
What's up?
Hammerstein takes a moment to drink in the cheers from the Yokohama crowd, a reception he only gets in Japan.
Hammerstein:
It's been way too long, Yokohama.
The Chicago Way Champion's demeanor goes from jovial to surly.
Hammerstein:
First off, Miss Malice, your asskickin is comin up real soon. Just be patient.
Kenzie Garrett, when you first challenged me for my Chicago Way Title, I told you to go to the Championship Committee, sign the paperwork, and do it the right way.
You called me a coward.
You get your shot, and I kicked your ass.
Fast forward to The Way of the Dragon tour. You get another match with me. Reese gets unfairly banned, and I ditch the tour out of solidarity to my friend.
You called me a coward.
And finally, you earned another shot by winning the Red Line Elimination Match. I stand right in front of you, telling you to come get your shot whenever you want it.
You called me a coward.
Where's it end?
It ends the next time we get in the ring. But if you want a preview, Kenzie, just watch what I do to Miss Malice.
Singles Match
Hammerstein VS Miss MaliceMiss Malice stays on her toes, avoiding Hammerstein's clutch. Hammerstein does manage to get hold of his opponent briefly but they have the ropes and are forced to let go. Before they do, Hammerstein lands a headbutt which gets an inaudible warning from the audience's jeers. Nevertheless, The American Monster seizes control, throwing The Lipstick Timebomb around the ring with a belly to belly suplex and pinning off his hammerplex but Miss Malice grabs the ropes. Jacob drags Miss Malice's halfway over the ring apron and repeatedly uppercuts her until the official is a second from calling disqualification. More jeers follow and Hammerstein trash talks a fan in the front row. Miss Malice earns a big pop as she spins The American Monster and drops them with the reverse ddt over her knee. The Lipstick Timebomb returns Hammerstein to the ring where the Hammerstein is subjected to the 10 count punches and wobbles into Miss Malice's big right hook to set up the reverse ddt over her knee; although Jacob would kick out. Hammerstein turns the tables on Miss Malice's clothesline with a big back body drop to set up a huge swinging side slam. Once the proverbial dust settles, The American Monster tried to pin The Lipstick Timebomb after the Hammerstein's hammerplex but only got a two count. Hammerstein grabbed the official's shirt, adamant he got the three, Miss Malice got herself back to a vertical base and laid in waiting. The American Monster released the referee's shirt and turned into a couple of punches by Miss Malice. The Lipstick Timebomb then lands her roaring elbow after a gut kick on the rebound but it wasn't the sweet ending Miss Malice had hoped due to the powerful kick out made by Jacob. The Lipstick Timebomb was troubled by this as Hammerstein avoids Miss Malice's finisher and rebuttals with a hammerplex, getting an equally close fall. The American Monster continuously knocks down Miss Malice with an overhead club across the upper back until The Lipstick Timebomb hits back with rights and lefts at the ribs and one big uppercut to wobble Hammerstein. Jacob misses a clothesline and then a back elbow as Miss Malice picks up some speed. Miss Malice spins out of the sidewalk slam into multiple knee lifts to the back of the head, a dragon sleeper backbreaker and finally the spinning back elbow after shoving The American Monster into the ropes. Hammerstein shoves Miss Malice away and Miss Malice bounces off the ropes right into a pop-up double knee gutbuster. Hammerstein stands up quickly to stalk Miss Malice as she gets up, spinning her around aggressively for Hammerstein's python sleeper. Miss Malice tries to get to the ring ropes but The American Monster uses his strength to pull The Lipstick Timebomb away. The match has worn down Miss Malice far too much but Miss Malice refuses to tap out to the python sleeper. Slowly The Lipstick Timebomb fades until the official is forced to check Miss Malice's arm. It drops once, then a second time and the fans get behind Miss Malice to come back but her arm drops to end the contest. WINNER: Hammerstein BY: Submission (Python Sleeper), 8:11 |
Peyton Holland: "The Chicago Way champion looked impressive tonight."

Black and white video footage of the attack on the US naval base Pearl Harbor is shown. Through the sound and noise of the gunshots, explosions, and attacks the voice of Sophie O’Brian can be heard.
Sophie O’Brian:
December 7th, 1941...a day that will live in infamy…
The Pearl Harbor footage slowly fades away and is replaced by a Japanese flag. A few moments later Sophie O’Brian steps into the scene from stage left. The black haired Irish beauty is wearing a black knee length leather skirt, black boots, and a black sleeveless top. A cold, stoic gaze is etched across her face as she gazes deep into the camera.
Sophie O’Brian:
It is reported that Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto of the Japanese military supposedly uttered the now famous phrase ‘I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.’ As truthful as that phrase may be, it is doubtful that he actually said such a thing. It was probably the invention of screenwriters so that they could have an incredibly dramatic closing line to a film about the events of Pearl Harbor. Nevertheless, the statement was a fact. The attack on Pearl Harbor awakened a sleeping giant that would eventually trample Japan under foot and, in the case of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, literally wipe them off the map. There are several lessons to be learned from this…
O’Brian holds up one finger.
Sophie O’Brian:
Lesson number one, be very careful about who you provoke. Whether it be members of APE or even Melissa Reeves the champion herself, be very careful and be fully aware of the angry grizzly bear that you are provoking to anger. Understand that I have not returned to active competition just to do my best and be a good sport but to utterly dominate and prove just how good I am.
O’Brian holds up two fingers.
Sophie O’Brian:
Lesson number two, understand the passion of a true warrior. Japan is a land of proud warriors and fighters. It took the unholy destructive power of two atomic bombs to force them to surrender in World War 2. Otherwise they were bound and determined to fight to the last man. That is the spirit of a true warrior.
The black haired beauty points into her own eyes.
Sophie O’Brian:
Raymond Reznik, look into my eyes and understand that I am not someone who will easily give in. It will take the proportional kind of assault that took place at Pearl Harbor, Hiroshima, or Nagasaki if you want to put me down for the count. While technical, mat combat is my specialty, know that I can and will fight dirty if I have to. As dirty, brutal, and violent as you want to make this, I can keep up. If you want to wrestle, we’ll wrestle and I will stop you. If you want to fight then we will fight and I will not only survive but I will endure, much like how the allied powers endured the trials and tribulations of World War 2 and left the axis powers in utter shambles, I will also leave you in complete oblivion if you want to take this to the extreme.
A smirk forms upon her face.
Sophie O’Brian:
I will see you in the ring…
Singles Match
Sophie O'Brian VS Raymond ReznikOne week after Red Line, Raymond Reznik was far from 100%. Heavy bandages wrapped around his chest to protect the injured ribs that looked like an invitation for Sophie, who aimed her kicks to that particular body part. A few of those landed, each one turning Reznik’s face in a grimace of pain. Until Raymond was able to block one, catching O’Brian’s foot and hammering the hyperextended knee with some heavy blows, before taking her down with a dragon screw. From a mount position he hammered her face with heavy strikes, most of which landed on Sophie’s arms raised at protection. Sophie was able to slip away from this assault after landing a shot to the jaw, making it back to her feet and kicking his head off with a roundhouse kick. Down but far from being out, Reznik kicked out in two, crawling to the corner to pull himself up. A couple of stomps reached his back as he was dragging him toward the ropes. two stiff kicks followed when he slowly got back to a vertical basis. But none of this stopped the big man, who then turned back with a furious look in his eyes, blocking the next right punch and breaking through O’Brian’s defense with a headbutt. The former GCW Tag Champions was pushed a few steps back, her hands instinctively coming to her nose to check if there was any blood loss after the headbutt. A small gesture that somehow cushioned the impact of Reznik’s running big boot. The hard hitting contest was a pleasure for the strong style fans. Both competitors more than happy to engage in these long strikes exchanges, both of them willing to prove their superiority, holding nothing back and putting everything in those hard strikes. The power and size advantage were tipping the scale in Reznik’s favor, but Sophie knew where and how to it, blocking the opponent’s momentum with a kick to the ribs, leaving Raymond to curse and hold the injured area. She seized the opportunity to connect the Death Of Wisdom (variation of codebreaker) but it wasn’t enough to keep him down. On his end, Raymond proved that he was more than just a brawler or a hardcore fighter, coming close to the win with the Kneehlism (ripcord v-trigger) O’Brian was still in it, but Rez was looking to change it, hooking her arms in a double underhook position and driving the knee to her face multiple times, before performing a butterfly suplex. Feeling the momentum in his favor, he went to the killshot, waiting for Sophie to get up to hit the Harsh Reality. The harsh reality hit him instead, when O’Brian ducked the kick and surprised him with a kick to the stomach, followed by a swift execution of her finishing move, that swinging fisherman neckbreaker known as Ode To Braddock that gave her anothe win. WINNER: Sophie O’Brian BY: Pinfall (Ode To Braddock), 13:14 |
Jessi Idol: "Sophie seems unstoppable..."
Peyton Holland: "We know how tough Reznik is, and she just beat him clean."
Jessi Idol: "In all fairness, Raymond was still proved from Red Line, but this takes nothing away from O'Brian's impressive performance."
Peyton Holland: "We know how tough Reznik is, and she just beat him clean."

The lights in the arena shut off, and a video comes on the titantron showing Joey Leclair sitting on a folding chair in the center of a dark room.
Joey Leclair:
Destroy them all, this business is no place for friends so fuck everyone else, and just do things your way no matter what even if it means others suffer while you bask in glory,
Joey turns to face the camera directly.
Joey Leclair:
This is what I always thought was right, and this is what has motivated me the last half of my career, but I have these thoughts constantly creeping into my mind asking what if you are wrong? So I battled with these thoughts and emotions all night, and I came up with one resounding answer, and that is the fact that maybe I am wrong, and maybe just maybe change is needed.
The video shuts off, and the lights in the arena turn back on, and as soon as they do Savages by Defecto starts blaring throughout the arena, and Joey Leclair steps out through the curtain shirtless wearing blue jeans with his arms heavily bandaged from being burned at Redline. Joey then holds his arms out in front of his face in the shape of an X. and then thrusts them to his side while extending his right foot forward, and stomps the ground while spitting mist out of his teeth, and turns his head facing the camera, and says in an intense tone.
Joey Leclair:
They aren’t ready for this!
Joey then cracks his neck, and turns his head facing the ring, and makes his way slowly to the ring walking around the ring, and grabbing a microphone from the announcers desk before turning, and sliding into the ring, walking around it looking out into the audience before stopping in the center of the ring, and facing the camera putting the microphone to his mouth.
Joey Leclair:
I once had a group of friends, but they all turned their backs on me, and from that I vowed to never open up again with my only purpose being to destroy everyone, and make them suffer, and I enjoyed that for A very long time, but you see? Recent events have opened my eyes, starting at last Pay-Per-View in China- Because you see? At first I was pissed off at Kenzie Garrett for getting involved in mine, and Helena Noir's business, but I shrugged it off, and realized that it was not her fault, but it was incompetent management, and cowardly champions like Hammersteins fault, and so I began to think about how to deal with this... And in doing so I had an epiphany, A slight change of heart you see?
Joey pauses for a moment,
Joey Leclair:
Because I began to realize that it wasn’t the fact that my friends betrayed me, but rather they got bored with the business, and left it. And I can respect that. What I cannot respect is people who stick around the business just for the paycheck, or just because its all they know, and in fact I also hate management who poorly runs their company, and yes I am talking about the management at Millennium, and it’s no ones fault except Grace van Beek.
Joey pauses as the presence in the arena turns cold due to the shock of Joey targeting the owner of the entire company.
Joey Leclair:
I get it she may have changed the company for the better, but she is no better than the rest of the corrupt business owners in that she ensures her champions are big hits with the media, and draw in more money from big time companies, don’t believe me? Look at Hammerstein, he has been avoiding Kenzie Garrett, and what does Millennium do? Instead of forcing him to face her? They let it slide, and force her into my match all because Hammerstein is a big name, and media wants to see guys like him as champions, and don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that all our champions are not fit to be champions, just that so them are riding of their name, and popularity and abusing that fact.
Joey shakes his head in disbelief.
Joey Leclair:
It because of shit like this that I have decided that I am going to war, and not just with management, but with poor incompetent wrestlers who are cowards, and refuse to fight, or people who simply don’t care about this business, and just in it for the money, because you see its poor management, and wrestlers who don’t care that are killing this business, and are the reason wrestling in general is stuck in a stand still, but it could be so much better, and I want to see this business that I have poured my blood sweat and tear into? I wanna see it thrive I wanna see it booming, and that is why if I have to? I will stand face to face with Grace, and spit in her face, because if you want anything, but the best for this business than there is the door you can get the hell out, and that goes for any of the wrestlers in the back as well, if you face me, and your not passionate about this business, and here just drifting by? I will knock you the fuck out, and kick you out of this business myself, because I want the absolute best for this business I love, and with that being said? I am not no hero, and I am very much still wicked to the core, and a legit asshole.
Joey cracks his neck as he trys to calm himself down.
Joey Leclair:
Kenzie Garret we have unfinished business in the future because you have beaten me twice, but never one on one, and with that being said I do respect you, and I apologize for attempting to screw you at Redline, I was just simply frustrated because you pinned me with a simple roll up, and with that being said? If we ever meet again in the ring? I will attempt to rip you apart not because I hate you, but because I will give you everything I have, and I wouldn’t expect you to do no less, because you love this business as much as I do, and it’s out of respect that I will say that if you ever need me? You know where to find me I will have your back anytime, and now we move onto Helena noir…
Joey gets a look of anger on his face.
Joey Leclair:
I finally got my match with Helena, and even though it was not one on one? She still continues to let me down! She failed to bring out the queen of pain, and that pisses me off, not because I hate you Helenam because you see? This was never about hate, but respect, and i heard you whining to Henri Black that you buried your past because you wanna do the right thing, well Helena that is an excuse if I ever heard one! You are just as bad as all the other bullshit I have been complaining about, because you lie to yourself saying that I wanna be a goo girl, but in reality what your trying to say is I am just not passionate about this business anymore so I wanna end my career having people love me, or maybe you just wanna end your career putting people over, and I swear if that is the reason why than you are far worse than those just doing this for the money! Putting people over is not whats best for this business, because if you really wanna make wrestling better than you gotta give it your everything, and make everyone else work for it! Don’t you dare retire saying oh I helped countless young talent when in reality all you did was say here kid you got a victory over Helena Noir, but instead it would be so much more gratifying saying Hey! Congratulations kid you have a victory over the Queen of Pain, and that is not easily accomplishment, your gonna go far in this business.
Joey shakes his head in disbelief.
Joey Leclair:
But I know that it’s useless trying to talk sense into your head, and that is why this time when we face off one on one? If you bring anything less than one hundred percent? I will be the one to send you to early retirement, and then I will spit on your face after the match, and lose all respect I have for you, but if you bring everything you got, and prove you still love this business? Win or lose? I will be the first person to shake your hand and say you have my respect, and with that being said? Everyone who is holding this business back? All I have to say to you is survive if I let you!.
Joey drops the mic, and starts to leave the ring as the fans start cheering, and chanting his name which causes him to pause, and pick the microphone back up.
Joey Leclair:
Woah. woah, woah what is this? You guys have never supported me, and never had my back, and now that I suddenly say something that you guys can partially get behind, I am now someone you can get behind? No! Cheer me if you want, but you didn’t have my back before, and I don’t need you now so fuck you!.
Millennium cuts to some archive, flashback footage that takes place in January 2010. A random interviewer is seen talking to the camera.
Interviewer:
We’re moments away from our next match in the first round of this tournament and with me at this time is the young upstart who just won her first championship in just her sixth match… none other than Hardcore Champion Victoria Salinas…
A young, 21-year-old Victoria is seen walking into the view looking quite confident in spite of the challenge that she would face on this night.
Interviewer:
Congratulations on your first championship victory two weeks ago! I’m sure you’ve had a lot of time to reflect and celebrate over the holidays, but at the same time… you know that tonight… a tournament to determine who gets the next world title shot is under way and you… well… you got perhaps the hardest draw in this tournament going up against our Intercontinental Champion. No titles are on the line… but for you… this champion vs. champion match is going to be the hardest match of your career so far…
Victoria Salinas:
Yeah, I’m aware of that. It’s crazy how things happen so fast. I never would have dreamed that just seven matches in, I’d be at this point. Don’t ask me how it’ll happen because you can never predict these things… but I have a strong feeling about tonight. Even with so many people counting me out, even with so many people writing me off, I’ve got the faith and the confidence to find a way to win and that’s what I’m going to do.
Interviewer:
You’re moving up a division with this match and a common criticism is that you haven’t faced a real challenge yet.
Victoria Salinas:
I face who I face in front of me and take care of business.
Interviewer:
So you’re not scared of this challenge at all? Not even a little bit intimidated? Even you realize that this is going to be a really difficult challenge for you.
Victoria Salinas:
I’m not scared. I have no reason to be. I’m not going to allow myself to collapse and ultimately regress back to the skittish, anxious girl I was when I first started to train for this. If I do… then I’ve already beaten myself and that’s not going to happen. I promise you… don’t know how it’ll happen… that I’ll find a way to win tonight.
The archive footage fades out before cutting back to Victoria who is in a reflective mood in the hallway prior to her upcoming big match against Gavin Grimes.
Victoria Salinas:
Wrestling is funny sometimes… with how it all works out. To think that I’d find myself in a very similar situation 10 years later? Yeah, you can’t really script that. I’m not going to downplay the challenge that Gavin Grimes presents in front of me. I don’t need to dive into his reputation. That speaks for itself. Plus, if I do go into it, all I’m going to be doing is making a mountain out of a molehill… which is a mistake I’ve made before against opponents like Reeves and Driver… and a mistake that I’m never going to make again. But at the same time, I know the situation. I’m not ignorant to the fact that now, as that situation 10 years ago, there’s not many people expecting me to win and I get that. While I’m wrestling against Cheesecake of all people, Gavin Grimes is retiring Carmine Reaper in a last man standing match which is more impressive than anything I could have done in my own match. And yet… Gavin Grimes was sitting right there on that commentary table and he saw me face that same Carmine Reaper that he retired and he saw me beat him.
Doubt he was impressed… but whether or not he was… I really could care less.
Victoria pauses and takes a deep breath, keeping herself calm.
Victoria Salinas:
He’s the kind of guy that will look at what I’ve done lately and scoff at it because of the “quality” of the competition I’ve faced lately. He’s not impressed by it. If he wants to write me off and overlook me, that’s just fine with me. If you want to call it an “upset”, fine. But I know that I’ve got everything it takes to face up to this challenge and overcome it in one form or another. So as far as this match against Gavin Grimes is concerned… I’ll say the same thing I said ten years ago before I even realized the type of wrestler that I was or how strong i’ve always been as a person…
I’m not scared… not like I was against bigger name opponents here in the past. I’m not going into this with a fear that losing makes everything meaningless or whatever attitude I had before Homecoming.
I have no reason to be scared.
I’m not allowing myself to regress to the way I was behaving in the months leading up to Homecoming.
I’m not going to beat myself before this match even begins… not like I did with Reeves and Driver.
I’ll find a way to conquer this uphill battle…just like I did 10 years ago after that interview you witnessed... because that’s exactly what I’ve made a career out of!
How’s that for confidence?
Victoria maintains said confident poise much to the cheers of the crowd as she disappears from view, ready to meet the challenge that she has to face tonight head on without any fears or worries of “the worst”... with everything in her mind geared toward the positive as the scene cuts out.
Singles Match
Gavin Grimes VS Victoria SalinasComing off a winning streak that lasted throughout the whole Way Of The Dragon Tour, Victoria Salinas entered the match oozing confidence, although her opponent tonight definitely was no slouch. Gavin Grimes is a name that still holds a weight in this business, despite his career seemingly having taken a descending parable in recent times. In all fairness, the Captain isn’t doing bad here in MWE. After coming up short against Melissa Reeves, he had to deal with a recurring nemesis in Carmine Reaper. But now that he sent that ghost from his past back into oblivion, you can bet that the Chosen One is looking to climb his way back to the top. Starting tonight. A quick studying phase between the two contestants and then it was grappling time. A knee to the stomach immediately put Gavin on the driver’s seat, allowing him to connect a couple of uppercuts before before landing a snap suplex, floating right into the cover for a first two count. He picked up the opponent and sent her in the corner charging with a high knee. Victoria was down, but this time rather than making the cover, Grimes climbed to the top rope and waited for her to stand up, that cocky grin painted on his face as he jumped for the flying knee kick, knocking Salinas back down. He made a second cover, obtaining the same result as before. As often happens in these cases, a strong and dominant start lead to an underestimation of the opponent’s real ability. That was Gavin’s mistake, and it opened the way to Victoria’s comeback. At first it was a weak chop, almost laughed off by the Captain. A second one followed, a little harder but still not enough to represent a threat. Then a third, and a fourth. And before Gavin could realize, Victoria’s right hand was lighting up his chest with a series of furious chops. Salinas went for an irish whip, countered by Grimes who then waited for her raising his boot. She slid under his leg and quickly made it back to her feet, jumping and driving the former Underworld Champion down with a jumping neckbreaker slam. She seemed to feed on the crowd’s energy to keep her momentum going, throwing some of her best moves at Gavin, including the jumping yakuza kick and the springboard busaiku knee. But none of them seemed to be enough to keep the Captain down. Actually, he was the one who got closer to win the match when he caught her with a slingblade and followed with a running shooting star press. Her answer came moments later when she caught Gavin with a standing roundhouse kick right on the side of the head. The Captain was down, slowly crawling to the ropes. And Victoria was there, waiting for the moment to go for the Vainglorious Victory and add another, prestigious name to the list of her victims. Now it was the moment, a dazed Gavin stumbling toward the center of the ring and Salinas charging at him. Right into Grimes’ trap. He stopped her momentum with a kick to the stomach, quickly grabbing her from behind and pinning her with the Roll Up Of Doom. Helping himself by grabbing a handful of tights to secure the win. WINNER: Gavin Grimes BY: Pinfall (Roll Up Of Doom), 11:43 |
Jessi Idol: "Oh come on! He cheated!"
Peyton Holland: "Looks like Victoria's streak came to an undeserved end tonight in Yokohama."
Jessi Idol: "She has worked so hard to get her career back on track, and now this!"
Peyton Holland: "It's just a little bump on her path, she'll bounce back soon."
Peyton Holland: "Looks like Victoria's streak came to an undeserved end tonight in Yokohama."
Jessi Idol: "She has worked so hard to get her career back on track, and now this!"
Peyton Holland: "It's just a little bump on her path, she'll bounce back soon."
We cut to the ring, where the reigning Cloud Gate Champion, Tiff Rollins, is already standing in the middle, donning her ring gear, and with a microphone at hand.
Tiff Rollins:
Alright. So I guess you all know why I'm out here...
The crowd finally goes silent.
Tiff Rollins:
Due to what happened recently, I've been left without a challenger. And since I'm about to hit the one year mark with this title, I think it's time to up the ante a little bit...
The crowd remains quiet.
Tiff Rollins:
I've said this time and time again, but the only reason I've ever stepped foot into this ring was to fight. That didn't change when I won this title, and that ain't gonna change anytime soon. I'll address everything that's been said about me when I'm ready. But right now? I'm ready for a fight.
The crowd lights up.
Tiff Rollins:
That's why I'm out here. I'm issuing an open challenge to anyone in the entire roster. Right here, right now. Anyone wanna step up? Anyone wanna taste of this title? Hell, anyone wanna put me down for good? Well now is your chance. Let's fucking go!
She slams the microphone down as she calls out to the stage, demanding a new challenger to face her. A couple of seconds pass, without anyone answering the challenge. The crowd becomes more and more anxious as their faces and looks towards the ramp confirm; in the ring the champion has already walked towards the ropes gesturing and finally… “Wake Up” by Rage Against the Machine hits the audio system and the lights begin to flicker. A man steps out of the curtain, taking center stage on the ramp, his back turned as the music continues; after a while creating tension he turns around revealing… NEAL DURDEN!
The man from Cardiff is here! Wearing his ring gear and a Lowri Moss shirt; he has a microphone in his hand and a smirk on his face. The crowd went wild at the sight of one half of Pendragon and he simply strots down the ramp; playing with the microphone on his right hand and motioning for the cheers to die down a bit with his left. Once he’s near the apron of the ring, Rollins gestures for him to go in; but he stops her as he moves the microphone near his mouth.
Neal Durden:
Hello! Hopefully I don’t need an introduction, but, in case I do… my name is Neal Durden!
At the sound of his name there’s a portion of the crowd that explodes into cheers; he smiles and continues.
Neal Durden:
And yes, I’m now, officially, a part of the Millenium roster… which feels weird, because there’s no Lowri Moss with me today; and yeah I’d understand if some of you are a bit disappointed by that… yet, that’s precisely why I’m here, Tiff.
A bit of a pause takes over Neal at this moment, as he composes himself and takes a second or two before resuming.
Neal Durden:
You’ve held that title for a long time, obviously you’ve more than proven yourself; at least in my eyes… as I’m sure a lot of people in the back might think otherwise; that’s the nature of this business we’re a part of. So, as a worthy champion, I couldn’t help myself but to come out and accept your open challenge; not only to give these fans a match worthy of being a title match; but also to test myself against tough competition in a new roster.
Neal smirks and rushes to the ring sliding under the bottom rope and quickly getting himself to his feet to face the champion. Tiff Rollins smirks as her new challenger steps right in her face.
A referee rushes down the ramp, causing the cheers to grow in volume.
Jessi Idol:
It's happening Pey! We're going to see a Cloud Gate Championship match!
Chloe Collins, the General Manager of Millennium appears on the stage.
Chloe Collins:
First of all, mister Durden, welcome to Millennium.
Neal smiles and nods as another round of cheers raises from the crowd.
Chloe Collins:
Miss Rollins, I appreciate your gumption, an open challenge is always a danger for a champion, you never know who can answer... In your case, a pluri-decorated wrestler such as our new signee...
Tiff glances at Neal, then back at Chloe. "Let's do it." She mouths, ready to defend her title.
Chloe Collins:
This is going to be a great match, I can already tell... Tiff Rollins against Neal Durden, for the Cloud Gate Championship...
Sounds like the perfect main event for our next show in Nagano.
The words of the GM are welcomed by the loudest boos from the Yokohama fans who clearly wanted to be the one graced with this match. Tiffani and Neal don't seem happy with it either, protesting with the General Manager.
Who didn't listen to the complaints any further, turning around and heading backstage.
Peyton Holland:
Or not...

Tag Team Match
A.P.E. VS Melissa Reeves & Bobbi Jackson
Peyton Holland: “It’s now main event time, Jessi!” Jessi Idol: “I’ve been waiting for this match all night Pey..” Peyton Holland: “On one side, the MWE Champion and a woman who has some unresolved business with Duke Andrews, the Lockdown Champion. As for his partner? Chris never made a secret that his eyes are set on the company’s biggest prize, the one currently held by Mel” Jessi Idol: “Does APE even exist, Pey? I mean, they started as a trio and already lost a member..." Peyton Holland: "Time will tell, Jessi. Time will tell." Bobbi started the match, squaring up against Duke… Who went for the quick tag before even locking up. Obviously, he was trying to playing mind games with his opponent, who shook her head and called him a coward. Constantine drew her attention back to him with a right hand, immediately applying a side headlock. Jackson tried to get free from the rest hold by pushing CCJ away, but the member of APE put his weight down and tightened the grasp, trying to cut off her oxygen supply. A few elbows to the ribs loosened his grip and allowed her to sneak away. She kicked him in the stomach and applied a headlock of her own, dragging him into her corner where Melissa made the tag. Jessi Idol: “Mel and Bobbi showing some chemistry here already.” Reeves and Bobbi used the five count to connect a double suplex on CCJ, with Mel making the cover right after only picking up a two. She kept attacking the former marine with her educated feet, those stiff kicks to the chest turning Constantine’s pecs a bright shade of red. Taking a step back, she measured him up to connect a superkick, but CCJ ducked it and started to crawl toward Andrews in the corner. Reeves grabbed his leg and dragged him up to his feet, still holding his foot. And that’s when Chris pulled out an unexpected enziguri kick, breaking free and making the tag to Duke. The referee seemed to be losing patience with the Lockdown Champion after the umpteenth warning to stop using closed fists. Not that Michigan’s favorite son seemed to have any intention to listen to him, pounding the MWE champion with more hard strikes before scooping her up and dropping her down with a powerslam. He tagged Constantin back in and the two began to stomp Reeves ruthlessly. Peyton Holland: “I guess this is what American Pain Experience actually means.” Jessi Idol: “Mel really need to find a way to get to her corner and tag Bobbi. She’s been in the ring for like eight minutes now, and took a lot of damage.” Jackson in the corner tried to spur the crowd into showing their support for Mel, and the Japanese fans followed suit. It seemed to have a positive effect on the champion who started to fight back, trying to escape the clinch hold with some strikes to the ribs. Constantine quickly stopped her comeback with a knee to the face, hooking her arms and lifting her for a butterfly backbreaker. Once again the champion refused to stay down. Peyton Holland: “That was close…” Constantine was laughing at the champion, in clear difficulty now. He motioned for the end, in the form of the American Strong Piledriver. Dropping on her knees, Reeves was able to resist the move, grabbing his legs and pulling him back to the mat, flipping over into a jackknife pinfall. Jessi Idol: “This could be it!” CCJ kicked out in two and half, eating a stiff kick as he was getting up to his feet. The break Melissa needed to get to her corner and make that tag, allowing Bobbi to get back in. And the Rising Phoenix cleaned house, first with a low dropkick to Chris’ head, then with a dropkick to Duke’s face as he tried to enter the ring, leaving him hanging on the middle rope. Constantine was getting back to his feet, but Bobby wasn’t going to let him, knocking him back down with a knee to the face. She then saw Andrews still laying on the middle rope, and she couldn’t pass on the chance to drop him on the top of his head with a rope hung ddt. Jessi Idol: “The Phoenix’s on fire tonight!” Peyton Holland: “True, but I hope she has eyes on the back of her head…” She didn’t and Constantine blindsided her with a forearm to the back, dropping her to her knees. He then called his partner to hit her as he was holding her up in a straightjacket position. No tag was made, making this combined effort illegal, but it’s not like APE was starting caring about the rules now. Despite the referee attempt to impose his authority, Duke landed some hard chops to the blonde’s chest, taking a few steps back to charge for a big boot. Jessi Idol: “Hahaha he hit his partner!” Jackson ducked at the last moment and the Epitome Of Perfection combat boot left his mark on CCJ’s face. Taking advantage of the momentary shock, Bobbi superkicked the Lockdown champion right on the mush, diving on top or Constantine for another pinfall attempt, interrupted by Andrews who grabbed her foot and dragged her away. Over fifteen minutes in, this intense match was still extremely even, the momentum shifting between the two teams, every pinfall attempt getting interrupted by the other member. Peyton Holland: “What a match we are witnessing... “ Jessi Idol: “They’re leaving it all in this ring, all four of them… It’s so hard to predict who will come out on top, this can literally go either way!” Mel and Duke were now the legal men, trading shots in the middle of the ring like there was no tomorrow. Sure, Duke had the advantage and he was getting the upper hand, rocking the MWE champion with a flurry of stiff forearms, but you can never count out the Reaver. A kick to the stomach took the Lockdown Champion off guard and doubled him over, ready to be planted head first on the mat with a spike DDT. She hooked the leg but once again Constantine dove in for the cover. Bobbi had had enough and she rushed in to attack CCJ. A brawl ensued, taking both of them out of the ring. Duke was back on his feet now and took advantage of the distracted referee to blind Melissa with a thumb to the eye and lifted her over his shoulders, dropping her down with the Andrews Effect. Jessi Idol: “Oh no… Come on Bobbi!” Jackson turned around and slid under the bottom rope to make the save, but CCJ grabbed her leg and dragged her out once again. Peyton Holland: “Looks like this one is ov… NO!” Reeves kicked out, at the very last moment she raised her shoulder and kept the match alive. But for how long? Duke seemed to have everything under control, while CCJ was battling Bobbi on the outside. Sending Mel against the ropes, Duke launched her in the air and… Jessi Idol: “FACIAL DECONSTRUCTOR!” Peyton Holland: “What a counter by the champion, absolutely out of nowhere! But will this be enough?” Mel was quick to make the cover and the referee slid in position to make the count. As he heard the “ONE!” Chris pushed Bobbi against the barricade and turned around, rushing into the ring to make the save, breaking up the pin at the last moment. Constantine and Reeves began brawling, the referee trying to get Chris out of the ring, unsuccessfully. Duke was back to his feet and about to join CCJ in a two versus one assault, but Bobbi jumped back in the ring with a springboard dropkick to the back. And just like that, the match turned into a mess, the referee unable to restore any sort of order. his warnings and pleads ignored by the four competitors. Leaving him no choice but to end it in a no contest. WINNER: // BY: No Contest, 17:23 |
Peyton Holland:
All hell is breaking loose inside the ring!
Jessi Idol:
Here comes the cavalry...
Countless security member rushed to the ring to separate the competitors, Mel and Bobbi immediately calming down as they were pulled apart from their opponents, while Duke kept shouting insults to the Rising Phoenix.
Peyton Holland:
Eh, I guess this is all for tonight, ladies and gentlemen! See you next week!
