Way Of The Dragon Tour
Millennium XLVII
Live from Damai Center in Dalian
Wednesday, December 4th, 2019
The Chinese tour is quickly approaching its end, for the joy of some. With the pay-per-view being two weeks from tonight, exceptionally falling right in the middle of the week tather than the usual weekend spot, this and the next week will be fundamental to shape up the card for Way Of The Dragon. The Damai Center tonight is filled to capacity, the fans are very vocal already, their cheers audible over "When Legends Rise" blaring out of the PA system. The chants turned into boos when the clip airing on the tron showed footage of Chris Constantine Junior, Duke Andrews and Hammerstein, persona non grata around here. The camera cuts to the commentary booth, where we find Peyton Holland and Jessi Idol.
Peyton Holland:
Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the 47th episode of Millennium on MENTV. We are live tonight from the Damai Center in Dalian, and boy... What a show we have in store for you.
Jessi Idol:
The Tag Team Tournament is entering its final phase, two more matches tonight before the last round next week. The Revenants and the team of CCJ and REDD needing the win to keep their hopes alive.
Peyton Holland:
The tag team champions will also be in action against the up and coming team of Rhett Adelson and Qiyara Singh. A test bench for this promising duo.
Jessi Idol:
And speaking of champions, Melissa Reeves has the chance to bounce back after the loss against Redd Thunder last week. Her opponent? Sophie O'Brian.
Peyton Holland:
Yeah, not an easy task for the champ. Same applies for the Cloud Gate Champion Tiff Rollins, who's set to defend her title against Anastasia Starling.
Jessi Idol:
Ana attacked the Five Foot Murder Machine at Homecoming, but she never claimed any stakes at the title. Nonetheless, tonight she has the opportunity to end Tiff's record reign, now running 300 plus days.
Peyton Holland:
But before any of that, we will witness a debut here tonight. Miss Malice is stepping in the Millennium ring for the first time, and she's up next.
The camera cuts outside of the Damai Center in Dalian. We pan out to eventually catch a view of Sophie O’Brian standing there at the entrance. A confident gaze is etched across her face. The black haired beauty is wearing black leather pants, black boots, and a dark green top. She has a gym bag in her hand which no doubt contains her ring gear for tonight.
Sophie O'Brian:
Last week was a true disappointment. Hopefully your champion won’t walk out on me the way Luna did.
Sophie begins to march towards the arena.
A young woman walks around backstage looking rather out of place. Her Epica t-shirt is torn at the bottom, exposing her midriff. She is clad in leather bike shorts over dark leggings. Her hair is worn free and her make-up looks like it was hastily applied on the way to the arena. But her stride shows intent. Her demeanor betrays focus. Still as she walks, she is approached by a member of the ring crew.
Ring Crew:
Excuse me, Miss? You’re not allowed to be back here?
The woman stops, rolling her neck as she bobs her head from one shoulder to the other. Turning to the staff member, she smiles.
Woman:
Oh? And what are you going to do about it, Josh?
Ring Crew:
My name isn’t Josh…
Woman:
I don’t care what your name is or isn’t. You don’t want me here. What are you prepared to do about it?
Ring Crew:
If you don’t back off, I’m going to call security.
The woman laughs, almost doubling over.
Woman:
And tell them what? That you want to keep a member of the roster from her debut match because you didn’t like the way I look? Is that what you’re going to tell them?
The ring crew member looks confused, looking for a runsheet in his pockets.
Woman:
I’ll tell you what… you call security and I’ll wait here with you. Then you can EXPLAIN to them why no one appeared in the ring when my music hit…
Ring Crew:
You… you have a match?
She grins, patting “Josh” on the head with a bit of aggression.
Woman:
You’re catching on! Here’s a tip… just the tip...
She steps close to him, pulling him closer as she wraps an arm around him.
Woman:
You watch what I do out there to Nikki Knight… and the next time you see me walking back here and you want to try and act like you’re the big dick on campus? Keep your thoughts to yourself. Kay?
She laughs, shoving him off and walking towards the ring. The ring crew member looks for a supervisor.
Ring Crew:
Who was that?”
The supervisor checks over his runsheet, looking for Nikki Knight first, then the identity of her opponent.
Supervisor:
Says here her name is “Miss Malice”.
The ring crew member nod.
Ring Crew:
Malice… makes sense.
The scene cuts away...
Singles Match
Miss Malice VS Nikki KnightAll eyes were obviously on Miss Malice, the newest signée in the ever growing MWE ranks. Coming to Millennium as a young hopeful looking to leave a mark in this business, the Lipstick Timebomb found her first opponent in Nikki Knight who became a sort of gatekeeper, the welcoming committee to the green brand. But make no mistake, she wasn’t here to play the part of the welcoming mat, as her determined start showed. Exploiting the slight size advantage, she pushed the young rookie in the corner. The referee immediately enforced the rules starting the count. At four, Nikki let her go, nodding at the referee who was reminding her the rules and kicked Malice in the stomach. Grabbing her by the head, she dragged her out of the corner and flipped to a seated position with a snapmare, following with a stiff kick to the spine. Arching her back, Malice stood up, turning around into a hard chop from the Canadian Knightmare who fired the opponent in the corner. Up and over she went, landing on her feet and hitting the ropes, ducking Nikki’s clothesline and coming back at her with a crossbody. Miss Malice rolled over and up to her feet, readying herself to connect a roaring elbow. The strike dropped her down flat on her back, allowing the debutant to connect a jumping knee drop before trying the first pinfall of the match. Nikki’s experience helped her contain the exuberance of the newcomer, slowing down her momentum and keeping her on the ground now with a front face lock. Miss Malice pulled herself up but Nikki didn’t let her go, connecting a few knees to her face before lifting her with a suplex, floating into a cover in one fluid movement. Malice kicked out, trying a swift reaction immediately frustrated with a snap ddt by Nikki, who then moved around the opponent and deadlifted him for a german suplex. In a moment of dominance from the Canadian Knightmare Miss Malice found an unexpected opening when she slid away from a suplex attempt, landing behind Nikki’s shoulders and connecting a vicious reverse ddt on the knee. Slowly and slipping on her way up, she climbed to the top rope and dove off with a cannonball, landing back first on the opponent’s chest and hooking the leg for the cover. Three seconds later and Miss Malice was celebrating her first win. WINNER: Miss Malice BY: Pinfall (Explosion), 6:46 |
Peyton Holland: "A nice win for Miss Malice in her debut."
Jessi Idol: "Nikki is a veteran of this industry, don't forget that. Sure, she may not be in the best shape of her life recently, but that doesn't take anything away from Malice."
Peyton Holland: "At the same time, there's no room for complacency. She had a promising start, now comes the hard part of keeping that up."
Jessi Idol: "Nikki is a veteran of this industry, don't forget that. Sure, she may not be in the best shape of her life recently, but that doesn't take anything away from Malice."

Backstage in the dressing room we find Sophie O’Brian emerging from a changing area. She has just changed out of her street clothes and into her wrestling gear for the evening, consisting of a mostly black attire with some green trim. This brilliant strategist knows that tonight is the biggest match of her young MWE career has she takes on the reigning champion Melissa Reeves. A win would catapult her into the discussion over a future contender to the title. This mere possibility brings a smile to the Irish woman’s face. That smile doesn’t last long before it fades into a frown. And why is she frowning?
Sophie O'Brian:
I’m honestly surprised that you decided to show up.
Sophie O’Brian turns around to find her best friend and closest ally outside of her brother, Glory Braddock, standing a few feet away.
Sophie O'Brian:
I thought you were on the Riot roster.
Glory Braddock:
That may be true, mate, but when have you ever known for a little detail like that to stop me from going wherever the hell I want to go?
The British Bombshell approaches her best friend and then flashes a backstage pass in front of her face.
Glory Braddock:
Besides, I got the backstage pass you sent me. I figured you wanted me here to watch you and support you. Am I right?
Sophie O'Brian:
I do not need help nor do I need support.
Sophie states calmly, stoically, staring at Glory.
Sophie O'Brian:
You know this.
Glory Braddock:
Fair enough.
Braddock nods her head
Glory Braddock:
I can take a hint. I need to focus on my own future on Riot anyway. Still, you sent the backstage pass. You must have wanted me here for a reason.
Sophie nods her head.
Sophie O'Brian:
Those who have followed our careers make the safe claim that we are polar opposites. But those who know us...and I mean truly know us...will admit that we are not all that much different after all.
Glory Braddock:
Is that so?
Glory asks with an arched brow out of curiosity.
Sophie O'Brian:
We were trained by the same individual.
She points a finger at Glory.
Sophie O'Brian:
Your father, Glenn Braddock, taught both of us everything we know. Glenn Braddock taught us both the same principles and gave us the same guidance. We both follow that same guiding principle but I’m the only one willing to admit it.
O’Brian lets out a light chuckle.
Sophie O'Brian:
It’s nothing personal, mate, you still are my best friend, but I’m the only one who is honest about following the true path of Glenn Braddock.
Glory Braddock:
We’ll agree to disagree on that one, mate.
Glory retorts.
Glory Braddock:
After all, you’re in it to win by any means necessary.
Sophie O'Brian:
And you’re not?
Sophie answers back. Glory is about to respond but Sophie holds up a hand to silence her.
Sophie O'Brian:Don’t say anything, Glory. There’s no need to get into that now. Just...think about it.
Glory Braddock:
Whatever you say, Sophie.
Glory extends a hand for a handshake.
Glory Braddock:
Good luck tonight against Melissa.
Sophie O'Brian:
As I’ve said before, I don’t need luck.
Sophie embraces Glory in a tight hug.
Sophie O'Brian:
But thanks anyway.
Singles Match
Tobie Nox Thorne VS Teddy SteeleTNT, accompanied as always by her fiance and former General Manager of the green brand Gianluigi Vaccaro, didn’t seem too impressed with Kate’s husband rap skills, shaking her head at the end of his performance. And when the bell rang, she showed him how seriously she was taking this contest, ending his dance with a kick to the stomach. The blonde girl hit him hard with those martial arts influenced strikes, easily getting the upper hand on the opponent who was already looking at the lights after less than two minutes, courtesy of a roundhouse kick from the French girl. Tobie’s quickness was unmatched by Teddy, who couldn’t find a way to slow her down or avoiding her lightning quick moves. He tried a reaction, reversing an irish whip and tossing her in the air with a back body drop but Tobie landed on her feet and hit the ropes one more time, this time catching Steele with a running ddt for another near fall. Gian at ringside showed his appreciation for Tobie’s performance so far with a convinced applause, telling her to keep up the good work. Which she did, until Teddy put his hands on her face gouging her eyes to break up her constant offense. That and a couple other illegal actions that earned him a reprimand from the referee allowed Steele to maintain control, putting together a series of suplexes and a couple of two counts. He then whipped Tobie in the corner, following up with a splash. He climbed up on the top rope behind the dazed TNT, tucking her head underneath his arm and setting her up for the Droppin Da Beat (diamond dust jaw breaker) Tobie fought tooth and nails to escape and eventually managed to slip away, connecting a few punches to the jaw that left Teddy stunned sitting on the top rope. Tobie jumped against the ropes and took him down with a springboard headscissors, following tih one mean shining wizard that almost knocked his teeth out. Another close call for Teddy who barely raised his shoulder in time. He almost caught Tobie with a roll-up a couple of minutes later when he raised his shoulders to counter the frog splash but the french was able to kick out in time. He pulled her back up to her feet and started connecting a few quick jabs, weaving from side to side in his usual playful fashion. He cocked back ready to connect the KO punch and complete his characteristic move known as You Ain’t So Bad but Tobie anticipated him with a kick to the stomach and a shotgun dropkick to send Teddy with the back of his head against the corner. And when he came out of it, staggering and dazed, she caught him with a leaping complete shot to secure the win. WINNER: Tobie Nox Thorne BY: Pinfall (Leaping Complete Shot), 5:41 |
Peyton Holland: "Easy as pie for TNT"
Jessi Idol: "It looks like her physical issues are a distant memory now."
Peyton Holland: "Yeah the concussion that kept her away from the ring for over a month is perfectly healed. Hopefully there will be no more setbacks in the career of this promising athlete."

The shot goes backstage to the area set up for interviews to hype up matches and events. Tonight we once again are treated to the sight of our reigning MWE Tag Team champions: The Brothers McMillion. Once again the brothers are already dressed for their match in just a lil bit. Unlike the last time we saw the brothers in action, they’re not joined by any of our MWE interviewers.
Christian Michaels:
Ladies and gentlemen if you don’t recognize who we are, then please allow me to introduce ourselves. Firstly what you’re looking at right here is my lil brother!
Christian pops a hand, palm down, against Javen’s chest.
Christian Michaels:
All my life I’ve known this pain in the ass as my kid brother Simon…
Javen shoots his brother a look saying “What the hell?” without the words.
Christian Michaels:
But for the past decade and a half fans the world over have known him by the name - Javen! For years my brother has been a death-defying, thrill-seeking hillbilly…. Some might even say he’s a bit of a “Thrillbilly”. Heh. It’s hard to argue against the fact. Especially when ya consider Simon’s never met a risk he wouldn’t take. This man flips off the top turnbuckles. Off of ladders! Off of steel cages! Hell he’d probably jump off a ladder on top of a steel cage if given the chance. And yeah, sure, maybe you’re thinking that’s not so impressive anymore. What is, though, is that he will do all those things, be put through the ringer, and then get up and ask if ya got anymo where that came from!
To Christian’s right we can see Javen nodding in agreement as he rubs his hands together.
Christian Michaels:
And then ya got yours truly here. My name is Christian Michaels and I used to be called The Southern Heartthrob back in the day. Now I know what you’re thinking here! Ya see a still pretty good-lookin fella like myself standing here talkin about “back in the day” and it messes with ya mind. Ya think I can’t be past twenty-five or something like that. Right? Well lemme tell ya all that I been doin this for damn near twenty years. As a matter of fact in twenty-six days I begin the twentieth year.
A chuckle from CM.
Christian Michaels:
Now I don’t want all my fellow Millennium Wrestling competitors to get the wrong idea there. I’m twenty years strong in this business, born into it actually, and I am going just as string as ever. I can still go out there and I can trade holds with the best of ‘em… I can thrown down and brawl just like any of the rest of yawl… And if need be I can damn sure fly through the air like my lil brother here. Not to mention if you think he can take the punishment? Boyyyyy oh BOY! I’m the guy ya gotta damn near kill to keep him down; ask Duke Andrews for confirmation on that one.
Michaels smirked a bit.
Christian Michaels:
So I suggest that all you other tag teams out there in Millennium, be wise when ya get booked against the Brothers McMillion. Cause even though we been around the block more times than most of yawl have reps between the ropes, we ain’t that smoke that ya be thinkin you’re a wantin!
Javen:
Yeah that’s right man! See the past couple years people have been sleeping on our tag team. They saw a couple of longtime veterans hanging around and they thought we’d be good for making their names look good. But me and my brother here? That ain’t what we still doing this for. Me an Christian? We know, lemme repeat that we KNOW, that we’re still very much capable of beating any team put before us! Young or old, rookies or seasoned vets like us; We. Still. Get. It. Done!
Javen pats his tag team championship belt.
Javen:
These shiny titles are all the proof yawl really need of that. But shoot here we are another week and another match where we’re happy to prove it again. And we’ll keep proving it! Why? Because we love making people eat their words. Their doubts fuel us up like a couple rockets blasting off to da moon yo! And above all, we do this for all you fans that fill these arenas week in and week out; bringing ya signs and buying our merch while ya chant our names. Yawl are always in our hearts when we’re in the ring. Now tell em about tonight brother!
The attention shifts back to Christian Michaels, the man who earlier in his career wrestled under the moniker of “The Southern Heartthrob”, to offer more thoughts about tonight’s upcoming match. However just as he opens his mouth to speak his mind, eagle-eyed fans will notice that Michaels’ eyes seem to catch something off screen. His eyes following something, or perhaps someone.
Christian Michaels:
....
Javen:
Uhhhh…..bro…?
All of a sudden the elder brother McMillion power walks right out of our shot. The fine camera crew here at Millennium is quick to whip around and follow after him. Off in the distance a bit can be seem the likely culprit that has stolen CM’s attention: Pinhead!
Christian Michaels:
Hey! Hey! I said HEY!
Michaels shouts as he approaches the 7 foot tall behemoth. There’s not an ounce of fear to be found about him. His younger brother though is trying to reason with him though.
Javen:
Dude, no! Come on man let’s just g-Ah hell you’re doing this…
Christian finally catches up with Pinhead who seems to have either not noticed or cared about Michaels’ attempts to garner his attention. He seems to have finally stopped though for some reason or another. CM pulls off his own shirt and drops it to the side as he walks up beside Pinhead.
Christian Michaels:
Alright ya big walkin mountain, you’re gonna listen up while I let you know what the deal is. Ya got me hombre? Ya understand the words that are coming outta my mouth right now chump?!
Michaels aggressively says in Pinhead’s direction, awaiting the big man to face him. After giving a few seconds for some kind of acknowledgement, CM just decides to launch into the verbal tirade he’d been working up in his head since Saturday.
Christian Michaels:
Alright you don’t wanna face me like a man? Wanna showcase that same damned punkass bitch syndrome ya boss has come down with? Alright. That’s cool Pinhead. Alls I need from you is to stand there like the breathing piece of granite you are …. Stand there and listen up real good!
The fired-up native of Tennessee adding emphasis to his words by aggressively poking Pinhead in his left arm. Most men would be too intimidated to poke an arm that looks like it could bend steel girders. But hey folks them boys from the south ain’t known for thinking too much before doin.
Christian Michaels:
I know ya boy Heath thinks he’s a real tough guy after what he did Saturday night. Stupid asshat probably patted himself on the back afterwards until he was in danger of pulling a muscle. But lemme tell ya something there Pin-Head! What yawl did to Kelsey? It wasn’t cool. It damn sure wasn’t anything to be proud of! My wife works harder than anyone I’ve ever seen to be the best wrestler on this planet! She trains and trains and trains some more. Kelsey takes match after match here, there, and yonder to expand her horizons and learn even more in the ring. She’s been kicked around, told she could never be the best, climbed to the tops of mountains and been looked over for folks who couldn’t lace up her boots on their best days!
You can almost see Christian’s blood boiling in his veins as he speaks of the disrespects Kelsey has faced in her career.
Christian Michaels:
And yet she’s never quit! Never given up! Kelsey fights on as a shining example of what we all should aspire to be, not just in wrestling but in life! But Heathy boy can’t stand it when she finally one-ups him can he? Naw that delusional piece of garbage can’t handle it like a man. He has to throw temper tantrums and make up assassine rules to try an rip Kelsey’s championship away. Son of a bitch spills my wife’s blood and thinks it’s all a big hoot huh? Grrr…. And then as if all THAT wasn’t enough he takes and destroys that championship that Kelsey was actually giving meaning to…
Michaels pauses. He rubs a hand over his face and looks the mighty Pinhead up and down.
Christian Michaels:
Well you tell your boss something from me, alright?
There’s more pausing here as Christian waits for some kind of sign that Pinhead is listening. He needs to know that Pinhead has heard all this and intends to deliver his warning to Heath Williams when their crew meets up again. But thus far there’s no evidence of that.
Christian Michaels:
Hey! Hey are you even listening to me?
CM waits a few more moments. By this point his rage is just about boiling over.
Christian Michaels:
HEY STUPID!!!!! Are you frikkin deaf or what you big dumb bastard!
…..
Christian Michaels: Look do I need to kick you in the goshdamned dick to get a reaction out of you jackass?!
Pinhead finally allows Christian’s words sink in, though nothing the Southern Heartthrob has said seems to offend the big man, who many would consider, a walking abomination. As he slowly turns around, he leans his neck forward, showing his gritted teeth. He licks his dry, almost crusted, bottom lip and tilts his head.
Pinhead:
Dominique-nique-nique… what do you want, little worm?
There is a barely noticeable bit of trepidation from Michaels. No matter how pissed off one might be, Pinhead is a very imposing figure. But that is quickly washed away by the rage that’d built up inside CM over what was done to his wife.
Christian Michaels:
Ya kiddin me here? You ain’t even been payin a lick of attention to what I said have ya?
Pinhead shakes his head with little effort, and Christian nods with a bit of a chuckle.
Christian Michaels:
I want ya to tell Heathy boy something for me…
Now if one is thinking CM was about to repeat his whole deal again, they’d be wrong. Quite wrong! Because what Michaels does next is step back slightly to apply the appropriate distance between himself and Pinhead. An instant later and the ole Southern Heartthrob has swung his hand to slap the taste square outta the abomination’s mouth to shorten the message up. Pinhead stands up straight, a bright red mark showing up across his cheekbone. He fails to react in the typical manner one would when receiving a slap to the face, and instead of dishing out any type of his own offense, simply smirks with a crazed look in his eye.
It’s around this point that Javen realizes he needs to get his brother out of this situation. The two brothers do still have a match to get ready for afterall. The younger McMillion grabbing his brother around the chest from behind and beginning to pull him back.
Javen:
Ok that’s enough! Time to go!
The entire time his brother drags him away though, Michaels keeps his eyes locked on Pinhead, who returns the gesture with a deadly glare of his own.
Singles Match
Kate Steele VS PinheadThe former Lockdown Champion tried, she really did… But the freak of nature she had to face tonight was just too much for her. Too big, too strong, too angry after the encounter with Christian Michaels backstage, Pinhead entered the ring with a mission to dismantle whoever was in front of her, and Kate was his intended victim. The big men fired Kate in the corner and charged at her at full speed, squashing her under his 385 pounds of weight, tossing her around with a belly to belly suplex. He was relentless and methodical in his actions, slowly walking toward the opponent and grabbing her by the throat to pull her up. Kate tried to break free with a kick to the stomach but it didn’t affect the giant. She tried a different road then, desperately punching that big arm that was clenching at her throat, with little to none effect. Despite her attempts to fight it, the chokeslam was inevitable. Pinhead didn’t make the cover, wanting to punish the poor Kate a little more. With one hand he dragged her up to her feet and pushed her against the ropes, raising that huge boot to kick her head in. This time Steele was able to duck it with a slide, immediately taking the big man to his knee with a chop block and immediately followed with a superkick to the back of the head. This was her best chance, maybe even the only and Kate knew it. She threw everything she had at the behemoth, kicking him with stiff strikes including a spinning heel kick that would have taken out anyone else. But not Pinhead who still powered out with authority in two. And eventually the momentum Kate had built began to fade, just like her enthusiasm and hope as none of her offense seem to be effective against the big man who was now back to his feet, towering over the 5’2’’ girl gritting his teeth in a menacing way. One straight punch to the stomach almost lifted Kate from her feet, causing her to double over in pain. Deciding that playtime was over, Pinhead lifted her for his gutwrench powerbomb, ending what was pretty much a one way match with his Dominique Tribute. WINNER: Pinhead BY: Pinfall (The Dominique Tribute), 4:56 |
Peyton Holland: "Holy... "
Jessi Idol: "A statement made by the giant tonight. He made quick work of Kate but, in all honesty, it could have been quicker."

The scene cuts backstage as we find Chris Constantine Junior and Olivia Constantine are in the middle of a heated conversation.
Chris Constantine Jr.
Honey! I have everything planned out! Nothing is going to happen to me and nothing is going to happen to you.”
Olivia Constantine:
I’m just worried about your Chris! I mean this is completely different than anything you’ve ever dealt with! This is a very powerful country you’re dealing with! This isn’t a stupid wrestler or an owner of a company! This is a very powerful country that can have you killed without any ramifications.”
Chris Constantine Jr.
Yes honey! I know. But sometimes things are worth fighting for and what I’m doing with China is worth fighting for.
Olivia Constantine:
Chris! You left being a Navy fighter pilot so you could be with me and never leave my side. Are you willing to leave my side for some cheap heat? I can’t even think about what would happen if you left me.
Chris is about to say something but stops as he sees Olivia about to choke up and cry. Probably the first time on camera that he’s ever shown any type of humanity in his life, Chris lets out a sigh and places his arms around and gives her a big hug.
Chris Constantine Jr.
Alright. I’ll keep my opinions to myself with this whole Chinese deal. I’ll keep my head down and play nice. Just for you.
The two are about to kiss but stop when the noise of someone blowing into a tissue can be heard outside of the cameras view. Chris and Olivia look over, along with the camera, to see Redd Thunder sitting on a chair with tears in his eyes.
Redd Thunder:
Sorry. Me get choked up at times like this.
Duke Andrews:
Sounds like hypocrisy to me.”
Everyone looks over to find Duke leaning up against a wall with his arms crossed.
Duke Andrews:
Never thought you’d be the type to tuck your tail between your legs and run Chris.
Chris Constantine Jr.
I’m many things Duke but a loving husband is one of them. So for the safety of my wife and myself, I’m going to behave. You and the rest of the resistance can continue what I started and….:”
Duke Andrews:
Yeah, yeah, yeah! Hey Olivia! How much did the Chinese government pay you to shut Chris up? You got any of that blood money in your purse?”
Duke reaches out and grabs Olivia purse, but she tugs back at it. Chris doesn’t care for any of this as he shoves Duke away from his wife. The two quickly get into each other’s face and shout over one another. Redd Thunder quickly comes over and tries to break the fight up but it’s gotten to the point where both guys start to push one another. It gets to the point that Duke pushes Chris so hard that Chris tumbles backwards and falls into the camera. Just as things were getting heated, the screan goes black and the feed is cut.

Millennium returns from a commercial break to a pre-tape segment on the Tron from “The Rising Phoenix” Bobbi Jackson. It looks like the video is being recorded with her cell phone as she sits in a chair in her locker room. A championship title hangs in her locker behind her as she begins to speak.
Bobbi Jackson:
Hello to all the great fans of Millennium in Dalian, I'm truly sorry that I wasn't booked to compete this week but all talent deserves a week off every now and then. I'm sure the company will put on a great show for all of you fans and the next time Millennium comes through on a tour I hope to be apart of it and wrestle in front of each and every one of you!
The Phoenix says with a warm genuine smile.
Bobbi Jackson:
As I sit here in Atlanta, Georgia I can't believe that it's actually December already. 2019 is almost over! This year has been a complete and utter whirlwind for me but honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. This has truly been one of the greatest years of my life...
Bobbi leans back in her seat reflecting upon everything.
Bobbi Jackson:
And you know last week was Thanksgiving and quite frankly, I have a lot to be thankful for this year. My time in Millennium so far being a big part of that. I know I came up short last week against Tiff Rollins and I know that I have failed to capture the Lockdown Championship from Duke Andrews, but I don't give up that easily, infact...I'm just getting started!
At this point, the blonde can't help but grin a little. It's clear her confidence in herself is growing and that's a tribute to everything currently going on around her.
Bobbi Jackson:
Over the last several days I've had a lot of downtime. I actually made good use of it by sitting down and watching every single match I've had here since I joined Millennium. I learned a lot. I watched over my mistakes and I took mental notes on how to fix them next time. Because in this business folks, there's ALWAYS a next time! And speaking of which, I'm talking to you, Duke...
The Phoenix leans forward in the chair messing with her hair a bit with her free hand as she continues.
Bobbi Jackson:
You really like to run your mouth, but the problem is nothing you say is ever factual. First, you say you tapped me out, you never did. I passed out. Then you want to say I'm now in the back of the line after a count-out victory over you because you walked out to keep your championship, well think again! I'm right at the front of the line Duke and I'm banging on your front door to once again challenge you for that Lockdown Championship! Because as far as I'm concerned the two of us are tied at once match apiece and now it's time for the rubber match.
Bobbi stands up and points over at her locker, the shiny championship hanging inside.
Bobbi Jackson:
And by the time that match is done, I'll have that beautiful Lockdown Championship to hang right beside that one. Because the Phoenix is hungry for more gold! I'll see you real soon Duke, whether you like it or not!
With that said Bobbi reaches forward with her free hand to cut the recording off as it the feed goes to static and Millennium goes back to ringside for the next match.
Singles Match
Gavin Grimes VS Duke AndrewsThe fallout with Chris Constantine from earlier in the show, combined with the general annoyance of being in China, explained the very aggressive start Duke had tonight, not even waiting for the bell to ring to attack Grimes and to let out all his frustrations. Nothing fancy on his offense, based on straight stiff punches. A style Duke mastered in his fifteen years career, a very effective style that forced Grimes back into the corner. He didn’t stop there, despite the rules and the referee telling him to take a step, hitting the Cult Classic winner with a series of lefts and rights to the ribs. Grimes was down and once again Duke took some liberties pushing the sole of his booth against his throat. This time the referee had to step in and intervene, only after Duke refused to let go after his count reached four. He pushed Andrews back and officially warned him, threatening a disqualification should he deliberately ignore the rules. Duke nodded and pushed him aside, looking to pick up where he left. But Grimes was ready this time, pushing him back with a front kick that only seemed to piss off Andrews more. The Epitome Of Perfection came back charging in at full speed, finding nothing but the turnbuckle as Gavin used his quickness to evade on the apron, from where he connected a gamengiri. Duke was stunned after the impact and stumbled back, giving Gavin the chance to connect a springboard crossbody right into a pin, only worth a two count. Gavin seemed now to be in control, finally able to use his speed to overcome Duke. As a consequence, the pace of the match sensibly picked up for the enjoyment of the Chinese fans, who had the chance to witness a beautiful running shooting star press from the Captain. The spectacular move wasn’t enough to put Michigan’s favorite son away, but Duke definitely felt it, rolling out of the ring to catch a breath, not giving a damn about the fans booing him. Gavin wasn’t letting him any time to recover as he took a run and dove over the top rope with a somersault plancha. Duke was able to catch him and powerbombing him on the ramp. The match kept going outside the ring, with good peace of the referee who kept counting up to eight or nine only for one of them to enter the ring for a moment and quickly rolling back out. No foreign objects came into play, but the two were holding nothing back, making it look like they were out to hurt each other rather than win the match. The entire surroundings were exploited, including the steel steps Duke powerbombed Gavin on moments after the Cult Classic Winner sent him against the post with a hurricanrana from the barricade. And against the barricade went Gavin once when Duke pushed him away to break his series of hard chops as he was resting against the apron. Andrews entered the ring once again, only this time the referee blocked him, almost begging him to bring the fight back into the ring. Gavin stood up and was looking to get back inside the ring when a fan hit him from behind. It wasn’t a fan, of course. But Carmine Reaper, once again messing with Grimes. The referee couldn’t see it, but Duke did and decided to capitalize. He dragged Gav toward the ring, smashing his head on the apron for good measure and rolling him in. Reaching him inside the ring, he quickly set him up for the Andrews Effect (One Winged Angel) picking up a huge win. WINNER: Duke Andrews BY: Pinfall (Andrews Effect), 10:12 |
Jessi Idol: "Well, talk about an upset."
Peyton Holland: "Very few would have put their money on Duke tonight, but the Lockdown Champion, although with an external help, found a way to win."
Jessi Idol: "This thing between Carmine and Gavin needs to stop... And something tells me there will be no happy ending."

The Camera pans backstage where Joey is seen walking through the hallway with a serious look on his face as he seems intent on something when he is approached by Millennium's resident interviewer, Bowie Kennedy.
Bowie Kennedy:
Joey you look like you have something on your mind, do you care to share your thoughts with us?
Joey turns to the interviewer with a annoyed look on his face.
Joey Leclair:
I am looking for Helena Noir, and that I wont stop until I find her. So if you know where she is then please enlighten me.
Bowie Kennedy:
I don't know where she is, but is it really wise to see revenge tonight? I mean her close friend and tag partner Henri Black is in the building tonight also, and will most likely be with her at all times.
Joey snarls at the interviewer.
Joey Leclair:
Do you think I care who has her back? Henri Black is an old rival of mine so I know all too well his relationship with Helena Noir. But I could care less, because if Henri Black is lucky then I will find Helena Noir before the match and mangle her and beat her within an inch of her life, forcing him to go alone into the match. There at least he will have a fighting chance, even if it is two one one.
Bowie Kennedy:
Your saying that's what happens if he's lucky?
Joey Leclair:
Yes, because if he is unlucky? I will find Helena in the ring and ruin the entire match, causing the almighty Revenents to lose. I am sick of Helena screwing me, first she gets involved in my match begging me to end it, then she distracts me causing me to lose, and then last week she inserts herself into my match knowing I'd put all focus on her! That is why after tonight she will think twice about getting involved in my business ever again.
Bowie Kennedy:
Well that is some strong words, do you have anything you wish to say?
Joey nods, and shoves the interviewer out of the way, and storms through the backstage area continuing his search.
Tag Team Tournament Match
Group C
Group C
Emi Yamamoto & Kimmi Keister VS The Revenants
After the draw on Riot a couple of weeks ago, the Revenants needed a win tonight to keep their hopes to qualify alive. Their opponents tonight already proved their worth when, in a non tournament match, they managed to beat The Golden Era. Emi started things off against Henri, the height advantage giving the Australian the edge to push the japanese back against the ropes in their first lock up, pushing her to the opposite side and dropping on the mat, forcing Emi to jump over him and continue her run. When she rebounded back, he went for a hip toss, blocked by Yamamoto who put her weight down and caught Henri with a punch to the ribs, switching position and connecting an hip toss of her own. She went for a kick to the side when Henri stood back up to a vertical position, but the Blackstar caught her leg and hit her with an elbow shot on the knee cap, taking her down with a dragon screw leg whip. He didn’t quite have the chance to prove since joining the Riot ranks until now but Henri had made a name for himself as a submission expert, and tonight his ground game was on full display, as he started working on Emi’s leg. The Japanese, screaming in agony locked into the heel hook, tried to drag herself to her partner, both in ring and in life, and she was almost there, until Black dragged her away. The Technical Wizard decided to intervene and set her girlfriend free with a kick to Henri’s face. Emi’s heart and determination allowed her to catch a break and, despite the leg was clearly hurting, she showcased all her strength with a release tiger suplex, creating that opening she needed to tag the Underground Tapout Champion in. Kimmi wasn’t able to reach Black in time and prevent him from making the tag, finding herself now up against the former and last Liberty Champion. The two women gave rise to a spectacular technical contest, trying to lock one another in a submission, but always finding a way to escape from the opponent’s grasp and transition into the next hold. The technical exchange eventually came to an end and the two women stood now one in front of the other, and Helena gave Kimmi a nod out of respect. Right before kicking her in the stomach, holding her by the nape and driving her face against the turnbuckle. The Hottest Babe In Underground brought her hands to her face, leaving an opening in her guard that Helena gladly exploited with some stiff chopes to the chest. She then fired her in the opposite corner, following with the classic high knee/bulldog combination. Another quick tag brought Henri in, and the Blackstar obtained a near fall with a scoop powerslam. Again another tag for the black&gold team, and Helena was picking apart Keister with a stretch muffler. Kimmi reached the ropes and broke free, keeping Helena at distance with an elbow to the face. Holding on the ropes, Kimmi defended herself with elbow and kicks every time Helena charged in, until the tattooed woman slid under her raised leg and out of the ring, grabbing her other foot and tripping her to send the Technical Wizard face first on the canvas. Slowly, the last Liberty Champion climbed back on the apron and stepped into the ring, eating a kick to the face by Keister who then lifted her on her shoulder and slammed her down with a Yokosuka Cutter. Kimmi reached the corner and brought Emi back into the ring. First thing first, Yamamoto charged to the opposite corner and knocked Henri Down with a shotgun dropkick, frustrating Helena’s attempt to make the tag. Then she could focus on the tattooed opponent, connecting a side belly to belly suplex, followed by a sliding clothesline. In two occasions she got this close to the win, but both times Helena managed to kick out from the spinning side slam and the Osaka Slam (Alabama Slam). Eventually, she picked the opponent up for the Emi Bomb, but Helena started raining down punches to the top of her head, breaking free and dropping the Japanese on her head with a spike ddt. With no music to announce him, Joey Leclair rushed down the ramp and slid in the ring before anyone could stop him. He stared at Helena, the two exchanging a few words the microphones couldn’t quite catch. The referee tried to convince Leclair to go away, but he wasn’t listening. Henri Black tried to step in the ring but a simple gesture of Helena made him change his mind. “Leave. Now.” She mouthed to Joey. He smiled, spinning around and connecting the Death Dealer Elbow Smash on the poor Emi. The referee called for the DQ, Helena jerked to get Joey but he was quicker and rolled out of the ring. WINNER: Emi Yamamoto & Kimmi Keister BY: DQ, 13:08 |

Peyton Holland: "Joey just costed the Revenants their spot in the tournament."
Jessi Idol: "All those fighting words, all that claiming he'd beat Helena up...And then he tucks his tail and run?"
Peyton Holland: "Alone against the two Revenants? That's the smart thing to do."
Jessi Idol: "Well this win puts Emi and Kimmi ahead on group C. The match against Jetpack this saturday will be decisive to determine who will advance to the finals"

The scene cuts backstage to the locker room of Rhett Adelson and Qiyara Singh. The two partners are laughing and smiling together, clearly enjoying each other’s company before their match. They soon notice the camera and Rhett begins to speak first.
Rhett Adelson:
Guess it’s time to do that match promotion thing, huh?
Rhett laughs lightly before continuing on.
Rhett Adelson:
While our match again Nightfall Rising didn’t go as planned, tonight will serve as redemption for Qiyara and myself. We have a huge opportunity in this tournament against Brothers McMillion. They are a great team and have been around for quite some time. I know that Yara and I will have our hands full tonight but I also know that we can handle it.
He places a hand on Qiyara’s arm and smiles.
Rhett Adelson:
And I especially know that Qiyara can handle anything thrown her way. She’s more capable than any of you could imagine and you’re going to see what I mean tonight.
Nodding along with the words he’s saying, Qiyara has a constant smile on her face until it is her turn to speak.
Qiyara Singh:
Its true!
There a slight pause as she tips her shoulder in a sort of “patting herself on the back” type of way
Qiyara Singh:
The last time was just a showcase for you, a collaboration between groups of Nightfall Fights competitors to offer you, a dazzling show and just a little exposure, but tonight begins the real culmination of our talent being brought to the forefront. The Brothers McMillion have an experienced factor that you’ve seen before, but what Rhett and I bring is something fresh, new, and innovative, something even the most seasoned competitors aren’t really prepared all that prepared for.
Pausing she gives Rhett a hint of a smile
Qiyara Singh:
Guess you could say I’ve had the best trainer that one could ask for.
Rhett gives a laugh and Qiyara continues
Qiyara Singh:
Nevertheless, I can certainly say that the brothers will have their hands full, its not as if they are really paying much mind anyways with one focusing on a different opponent and another making jokes about faking an injury. . . not that you’d have to actually joke about that as we can easily make that your reality if you wish.
Pausing Rhett chimes in
Rhett Adelson:
Truth is the truth, fool me once shame on you sort of thing, but what happened with Cheesecake won’t be happening here again tonight, it is our time!
With a nod Qiyara turns to him and smiles before looking back to the camera and giving a wink.
Qiyara Singh:
See you out there!
As they head from their locker room the scene fades to black.
In the immediate aftermath of their tag team match, Helena Noir and Henri Black are caught by the cameras backstage. Henri is fuming, while Helena seems to maintain her usual composure, despite the disappointing ending of their match.
Helena Noir:
Calm down, Henri. It’s over.
There’s no rage or heartbreak in her voice. But rather resignation, and perhaps regret. Maybe she could read Joey’s intentions, she could have figure out that he wasn’t there to hit her, but rather cost her, and Henri, the match. She could have stopped him before he rocked the poor Emi Yamamoto with that Death Dealer Elbow Smash, crushing The Revenants dreams of gold with it.
Henri tightens his fist so hard that the microphone is able to pick up the cracking of his knuckles.
Henri Black:
I thought you were smarter than this Joey, I truly did, I don’t know why you’re so hell bent on targeting Helena and I don’t really care but I have to wonder what kind of insanity was going through your mind when you thought it was a good idea to put yourself back on my bad side?
Taking a series of deep breaths Henri slowly regains his composure
Henri Black:
I’ve stayed out of Helena’s business out of respect and because I know she can handle her own business, but now I’m starting to wonder if that’s still the best course of action. I’m wondering if maybe it’s time for some good old fashioned “problem solving” and I find that there are very few problems that I can’t solve by putting my boot through their skull.
Helena puts her hand on Henri’s shoulder, the gesture immediately shifts Black’s attention from the camera to his tag partner.
Helena Noir:
I’ll handle this.
She said with that stone cold tone.
Helena Noir:
I have tried to leave it all behind, to do things the way they are supposed to be done…
The tattooed woman shakes her head.
Helena Noir:
But I guess we can never really get away from our past… Somehow, the ghosts always find a way to haunt me.
You could hear a hint of sadness in her voice. Henri definitely picked up on it.
Henri lets out a long sigh and runs his hand through his hair.
Henri Black:
It’s your decision how you deal with your ghosts, but ignoring them is usually the worst possible thing to do, they will simply feed and grow.
Henri places his hand on Helena’s shoulder.
Henri Black:
Face them head on, don’t back down and show them that a mere specter has no power over a Revenant… and if you need help, well, you know where to find me.
Helena Noir:

Tag Team Match
Brothers McMillion VS Rhett Adelson & Qiyara Singh
The MWE Tag Champions faced the young up and comer team of Rhett Adelson and Qiyara Singh. They are far less experienced than their opponents, who have been in the business for seventeen years, but Rhett and Qiyara already proved they are no slouch in their first match as a team, when they took Nightfall Rising to a time limit draw. The indian girl was the one who started the match for her team, Christian was the chosen one for the champions. Despite all his experience, CM seemed to be in difficulty against the opponent, her Muay Thai based offense being something he wasn’t quite familiar with. On top of that, he appeared to be quite distracted, as if his mind wasn’t quite in this but rather elsewhwere, possibly a consequence of what happened to his wife last Riot. She kept his focus on her punches deliberately slow and easy to block only to suddenly kick his leg away and taking him down to the mat with a Muay Thai leg sweep. Grabbing by the leg, she dragged CM to her corner and tagged Rhett back in, holding Christian’s leg out perpendicular to the mat while Adelson jumped on it with a double foot stomp. With quick tags, the duo isolated the older of the two brothers, tagging his left leg. A solid plan considering how versatile in submission Qiyara is and how all those years running the ropes might have taken their toll on CM’s body. Rhett had him now in an ankle lock, while Christian was slowly trying to reach his team’s corner. Adelson let him get closer just to pull him back at the last second. Christian screamed, both for the pain and the frustration of getting so close but still coming up short. He desperately tried to resist, almost literally hanging on the canvas, Then, with one last desperate effort, he pulled himself up and rolled forward, breaking free from the submission and sending Rhett head first against the turnbuckle in one move. He pulled himself up and limped toward Javen’s hand, but Rhett was right there to stop him, lifting him from the floor and pushing him back. Out of nowhere Michaels dropped him on his head with a ddt and finally reached Javen. As soon as the younger brother entered the ring, the pace of the match picked up. Javen’s speed forced a change of strategy and while Rhett could hold his ground with him, once Qiyara tagged in after the Kamehameha took the wind out of Rhett’s lungs, the momentum of the match shifted in the McMillion’s favor. Simon kept hitting her hard and fast, staying away from those deadly kicks she threw at him. And when she seemed to be taking the advantage, finally building some momentum, he would regain control with one of his tricks, such as a thumb to the eye, followed with a kick to the stomach and a neckbreaker. The match just surpassed the 12 minutes mark when Javen caught Singh with leg lariat off the rebound. Quickly he brought himself on top of the turnbuckle and jumped off with his Javenation (Swanton Bomb) picking up a two count only because of Rhett promptly diving in to make the save. CM tried to intercept him, but the bad leg caused him to get there a moment too late. But it didn’t stop him from hitting Adelson, the pair of them brawling and rolling out of the ring. With nobody ready to interfere, Javen had the perfect chance to try put a stop at the match with the Javen Effect (reverse twist of fate). And he didn’t miss it. WINNER: The Brothers McMillion BY: Pinfall (Javen Effect) (14:54) |
Jessi Idol: "Another valiant effort for Rhett and Qiyara against the champion. Unfortunately for them, they're walking out of this match empty handed."
Peyton Holland: "The McMillions are champ for a reason, Jessi. And despite what some people might think, they still have it."
Jessi Idol: "That's undeniable, the boys keep proving all their doubters wrong."

Kenzie Garrett:
I know what you're thinking...
Kenzie speaks into the camera, clad from head-to-toe in her white ring gear: a form-fitting tankini top that bares just an inch or two of her crafted core, long white tights with a few slices in the thighs, and white boots. Her dark hair is pulled into a ponytail. The white serves its purpose: it's better for messes. And as Kenzie wraps her fists with white tape, and strategically places a few flat-top pins into the tape's layers. She's intending to do some damage, her dark velvet-colored lips curled into a frown.
Kenzie Garrett:
'Kenzie! Your opponent, the biggest fucking pussy on the face of this planet, has left China because his talking walrus doesn't know how to shut the fuck up. WHY are you dressed for a fight? You know that this is going to be a forefeiture victory. Why are you getting ready to wreck his shit, like he so clearly fears you doing, because he keeps running like a goddamn coward?'
Her 'announcer' voice is dramatic and somewhat nasally. It drops, with her frown.
Kenzie Garrett:
The answer is really simple, dear friends... because if Hamtaro is able to lie about not being a puss, when his entire history with me proves otherwise? He will lie about ANYTHING - including not showing up tonight. Would I put it over him to say he's leaving, and then not leave, because he knows that I know he's a coward? And that's it believable when we're scheduled to fight one another, he hits the trans-Atlantic dash to get away? I've got every reason to buy it. HISTORY dictates I should buy it. But what happens when I do?
She tilted her head, her eyebrows narrowing.
Kenzie Garrett:
I resign to take the easy route and go home to 'enjoy' the night off as much as I can enjoy it considering I've been begging for this fight for months now? And then his bitch ass shows up and claims the forefeiture win while I'm on a flight back to Fresno? Nah. Not happening. Fuck that.
She planted her hands onto her hips.
Kenzie Garrett:
Let's be honest, the timing of this sudden case of Americana Patriotism Syndrome is a little suspicious. And considering he and I were face-to-face last week and I 'wasn't the one he was there for?' Nah bro. Of course I wasn't, because: No one's there for an assbeating, you absolute fuckwit! And if that little bitchmade prick isn't here tonight? Guess who's point is proven YET AGAIN?
Her fist balled tightly, those pins riding the ridges of her knuckles and pressing outward.
Kenzie Garrett:
I am going to fuck him up. I fucking promise. I AM GOING TO-
Backstage Worker:
Miss Garrett?
She was interrupted, gritting her teeth. Her eyes wide, an absolutely crazed look in her eyes. Taking a deep, sharp breath as she tried to edge herself away from the rage that was threatening to boil over. The worker was a small-framed, younger man, with a production headset on.
Backstage Worker:
I have a memo for you from management. It's confirmation that unfortunately, Mr. Hammerstein has left the country in support of Reese Kennedy's stance towards this tour and the condemnation he's received in being banned for the rest of it...
She seethes. The one time he tells the truth...
Backstage Worker:
However, given your recent... emotions? for um... for lack of a better term... regarding the Chicago Way Champion? It was decided it would be best to let you work out some of those transgressions by giving you a replacement opponent.
Kenzie Garrett:
Fucking figures... what a scared little bitch...
She anxiously tapped her heavy, white wrestling boot to the ground. Those taps becoming much more rapid and aggressive as the weight of his announcement really set on her. Her brow furrowed, her teeth clenching to the point of near pain.
Kenzie Garrett:
Who gets to die in his place?
Backstage Worker:
Joey Leclair...
Kenzie Garrett:
And who did he piss off to make that happen?
Backstage Worker:
I... I'm not sure, ma'am...
Kenzie Garrett:
You know what? Fine. Fine-fine-fiiiiine. I'll take this excuse. What choice do I have? For a guy who's obsessed with making money to feed his family, he's sure willing to miss out on a payday and pay for an expensive last-minute airplane ticket when the alternative is getting his fucking ass beat! But hey... what's ONE more inconsistency? What's ONE more instance of him being terrified of what I'll do to him, then desperately trying to dig his way out of the hole he's dug when he's called out on it? I'll be good. I'll play the role I'm supposed to... but I need you to take back one tiny, little, itty-bitty message for me.
She said in a tone of voice that was practically laden in sugar. Her eyes sweet and gentle.
Kenzie Garrett:
You tell them... that it would be incredibly wise not to take the championship off of him. Fine him. Suspend him. Do whatever they want. But... no one... for the health and safety of everyone in this company? NO ONE gets to take that title away from his grubby little fingers but ME.
She seethed, storming away from the scene while the backstage worker glanced her way with eyes as wide as saucers.
I know what you're thinking...

Millennium cuts to old, archive footage of Victoria Salinas that takes place in May 2011. During this time, she’s in her first ever world title reign and she’s taking part in an interview with an off-screen reporter in front of a plain background.
Reporter:
You’ve been world champion for a few months now. What would you say is your most favorite moment from that reign so far?
Victoria Salinas:
I would say… OH… that thing that just happened last week… when that so called idiot “rival” of mine tried to cash in that title shot contract against me and I broke his fucking arm. That was beautiful! I loved the fact that he suffered for all the crap he put me through.
Reporter:
So… it wouldn’t be inspiring a lot of small town hopefuls? You came from nothing to get to where you are. Many people can see you as an inspiration.
Victoria Salinas:
I mean… that’s all good and everything but… that’s not part of my job description if we’re being honest.
The archive footage pauses which features a voice over from Victoria in the present day.
Victoria (voice over):
I’m not going to sugar coat it. Back when I was young and stupid, the word “vainglorious” was synonymous with the word “bitch” when it came to me. This is what happens when you let sudden fame and success get to your head. I’m no different from many of the 23 year old wrestlers that make the same mistake that I just did. I went from humble and gracious to braggadocious and unbearable. It wasn’t an overnight thing… it took a few years for me to really lose myself… but check out the difference eight years later…
The archive footage cuts to the same type of setting, but with this taking place just last week, two days after she competed against and won against Carmine Reaper.
Reporter:
Say what you will about Carmine Reaper, but that was not an easy win at all. He has the reputation that he does. What does this do for your confidence going forward?
Victoria Salinas:
It’s going to help plenty. He’s a hell of a wrestler though despite what his enemies may think of him and to be able to pick up a win like that against a wrestler of that caliber is something that I am going to look back on with both joy and with wisdom. It’s another building block for me for where I want to go in the future. The competition in MWE has been tough, but once I’m complete in making the adjustments I need to make to adapt and thrive, things are really going to take off.
Reporter:
Would you say that losing that match to Bethany Driver was a good thing, then?
Victoria Salinas:
It humbled me, I’ll say that. It got me grounded and reset my mind to focus on where it needs to be. So… yes, I’d say it was a good thing from what I learned from it.
Reporter:
It’s a great lesson to teach those younger kids in those small towns that are trying to do what you’ve done.
Victoria:
Absolutely! They are what drive me to do what I do!
The archive footage fades out and then fades back in to a promo studio featuring Victoria in live, record time. Her presence draws cheers from the audience as she continues her thoughts.
Victoria Salinas:
It’s something when you hit your thirties for sure. Essentially, you grow up and I’d say that’s how this is my career has progressed. My original company that I was a part of was like high school… where you’re immature and you think you have it all and you really don’t know what you want with your life… GCW is college… where your high school success means nothing and you begin to realize what you want with your life and yet… you don’t quite know who you are and what you’re capable of until you graduate. I guess in that sense… MWE is the real world… where you finally know who you are… that’s where I’m at with my career. I’m learning exactly who I am: every match, every win. Months ago, I’d look at names like Joey Leclair and Carmine Reaper and think “I can’t beat names like that…”
Now? I have. I’ve finally grown up, not just a little, but a lot. I may not be competing tonight, but believe me… the next time I step in that ring… you’ll see more of who I am and what I am capable of. I’m only just getting started…
Victoria confidently walks out of the studio to some more cheers from the audience before the scene fades out.
Singles Match
Kenzie Garrett VS Joey LeclairThere's nothing Kenzie Garrett was craving more than another shot at Hammerstein, but the Chicago Way Champion wasn't here tonight, refusing to join the rest of the roster after the, in his opinion, unrightful suspension administerd to his manager Reese Kennedy. To replace him, Chloe Collins choose Joey Leclair, a smart decision since the Death Dealer was here in Dalian even though he wasn't scheduled to compete. But the Gods Of Wrestling decided that Kenzie should not compete tonight. "Psycopath" by Nomy was still playing when Helena Noir appeared on the stage. "You were looking for me, Leclair?" She thundered, proudly wearing a Revenant shirt over her ring gear, despite the loss suffered earlier tonight. Joey stopped his walk and turned his attentiion to the tattooed woman, while inside the ring Garrett shook her head, imagining where this situation was leading. Leclair charged at Noir, who didn't shy away from the fight. The two brawled it out on the stage, inching closer and closer to the edge. And when it looked like Helena was the one to fall, with Joey ready to strike the final blow, Noir kicked him on between his legs and hooked him up for her cradle ddt. A last minute hesitation, or a flash of lucidity, changed her mind and convinced her to perform the move ON the stage rather than OFF it. It still was enough to knock Joey senseless, but at least she was able to stand up and walk away on her legs. Not before apologizing with Kenzie with a gesture of her hand and a "Sorry, kid." Peyton Holland: "Definitely not Kenzie's night..."
Jessi Idol: "Well, if I'm being honest, I'm not surprised it ended like this. You have to wonder if Joey is regretting pushing Helena..."
Peyton Holland: "I don't think, I believe this is exactly what he wanted..."

Soothing, classical, piano music can be heard playing in the background. Gold glitter can be seen descending from thin air as a feminine voice begins to speak…
Feminine Voice:
The following presentation has been paid for by The Most Valuable Friendship, reminding you to be a true friend.
The gold glitter fades away. We open on a stage with a piano. A dapper young gentleman with brown hair is playing the soothing music we were hearing on said piano. A few moments later Aubrianna Powers steps into full view from stage right. She is wearing her wrestling gear and she has the GCW World Championship title belt wrapped around her sexy gorgeous waist.
Aubrianna Powers:
Once again you lowly people of China are in for a real treat because The MVP of Millennium, your reigning GCW World Champion and the Most Valuable Friend of them all, Aubrianna Powers, is here once again to compete for your entertainment purposes. You’re welcome.
The pink tipped blonde haired beauty takes a bow. Applause can be heard in the background, applause that is probably recorded on a tape but don’t tell anyone that!
Aubrianna Powers:
Now this tag tournament is definitely important, and everyone wants to win it, and sure you have some imbeciles like Kimmi the Cow Keister and Janus the Duck Dynasty, but let’s be honest, no one stands a chance against me and my Dick!
Chuckling can be heard in the background. Aubrey scowls angrily.
Aubrianna Powers:
DO NOT LAUGH!
The laughing immediately ceases. A few moments later Dexter Russell, Aubrianna’s fiancee, emerges with a cardboard cutout of Dickie Harter which he sets up next to Powers. Russell kisses her on the cheek and then turns and walks off screen.
Aubrianna Powers:
Thanks, Dex! Now then, I could win this tournament with anyone, even a cardboard cutout of Dick. That’s just how damn good I am. So do you really believe that I am going to let a couple of butt buddies like Chris Constantine....Junior…
She rolls her eyes
Aubrianna Powers:
...and that fat fuck Redd Thunder stop me?
Powers smirks.
Aubrianna Powers:
Do yourselves a favor boys, go the nearest all you can eat Chinese buffett and stuff your face, don’t waste your damn time on this tag match because the match outcome is academic. You’re going to lose to The MVP and her Dick.
Aubrianna turns and walks off. The feminine voice returns…

Tag Team Tournament Match
Group B
Group B
Chris Constantine Junior & Redd Thunder VS Most Valuable Friends
Second match in the Group B for CCJ and Redd, this time against the Most Valuable Friends Dickie Harter and Aubrianna Powers, coming from their impressive win last week against the former tag team champions, the HolligunnZ. The former Underground Tapout Champion didn’t look at all impressed by the size of the Thunder, who was standing almost on foot taller than her and weighing three times her weight. Powers brought the fight, wisely aiming at his legs to try chop him down (although, as he likes to remember, Redd never skips a leg day). Stiff kicks to the thigh and the knee slowed down the advancing of the big man but they couldn’t stop him. Still kicking, Aubrianna walked back to her corner where Dickie took the tag. Redd grabbed the girl by the throat looking for a chokeslam, causing Harter to start a whirlwind of kicks to try and free his partner. Thunder wrapped his huge hand around Dickie’s throat as well and it looked like he was going to chokeslam them both. He even managed to lift them but the pair reached him with simultaneous kicks to the stomach, forcing the break. Quickly, they dropped the big man on his head and Dickie made the cover, but Thunder kicked out in two with authority. Harter had a great showing against the much larger opponent, almost getting the job done with Killshot (Bomaye) after a standing sitout shiranui, but the prompt distraction from Olivia prevented the referee from making the count. Aubrianna walked on the apron to where Olivia and the referee were arguing and it looked like things could escalate rather quickly between the two women. To the point that Dickie himself stood up and tried to calm his (Most Valuable) friend, turning his back to Redd. The big man pulled himself up and pushed Dickie against his partner, knocking Aubry off the apron and stunning the young Harter, who staggered right into a german suplex from The Law. A huge spinning backfist sent Dickie in the corner where he got squashed by Redd’s entire body weight with a running splash. Chris tagged himself in and picked up where his partner left with some hard chops across Dickie’s chest and a snap suplex that gave him a count of two. Harter was literally hanging on for dear life, barely surviving a couple of pinning predicaments after a backbreaker from Chris and a pop up powerbomb from Redd. The chance came when the big man was trying to submit him with a bear hug, and Dickie broke free by squashing Redd’s face between his arms. He didn’t waste the opportunity and reached the corner, making the tag to Aubrianna. The blonde girl rushed at Redd and planted him with a tornado ddt, climbing up to the top rope to perform a beautiful 450 splash, picking up a near fall. The tides seemed to have turned, Redd looking dazed after Powers’ heel kick and currently at the mercy of the former Tapout Champion. But then something unexpected happened. Duke Andrews came rushing down the ramp with an american flag on his shoulders and took Constantine off the apron, mounting on his chest and raining fists on him. The bell immediately sounded, Dickie and Aubrianna’s protest fell on deaf ears. Outside, Duke was using the flag to choke Constantine, under the shocked eyes of his screaming wife. But as soon as he saw Redd rolling out of the ring to help his bartner, Duke fell back and ran up the ramp, flaunting his American pride by raising the flag on the entrance stage. WINNER: Redd Thunder & Chris Constantine Junior BY: DQ, 11:21 |
Jessi Idol: "Seriously?"
Peyton Holland: "Duke Andrews just attacked Constantine!!"
Jessi Idol: "Looks like the best buddies don't really get that much along, huh?"
Peyton Holland: "We all saw what happened backstage... I didn't expect it to lead to any of this."
Jessi Idol: "Meanwhile Aubrianna and Dickie just got screwed over."
Peyton Holland: "They lost a match, but they're not out yet. They have to beat Double Trouble next week, and do it in less than 11 minutes and 21 seconds."

We cut backstage and we find Sophie O’Brian in her mostly black wrestling gear with green trim. She is standing in front of an MWE logo backdrop. A stoic, emotionless face is etched across her lovely features as she stares into the camera.
Sophie O’Brian:
Sun Tzu says, "A leader leads by example not by force.”
There is a pause as Sophie allows her words, or rather Sun Tzu’s words, to sink in before she begins again.
Sophie O’Brian:
When I came here to MWE I told you that I was here for the memory of my legendary trainer, the man who lifted me up and gave me an opportunity while the rest of the world was willing to sit idly by and let me suffer death or extinction. I came here for Glenn Braddock, to fight for his memory and make damn sure that each and every one of you remembered just who in the hell he was!
Sophie holds up one finger.
Sophie O’Brian:
I began my run with a defeat over Carmine Reaper. He made the fatal mistake of turning his back on me.
O’Brian holds up a second finger.
Sophie O’Brian:
Next I had hoped MWE would give me a better opponent who would not make such a stupid error and yet instead I got a bloody celebrity reject in the form of Luna who opted to be a coward and walk away from the fight that was presented to her.
Sophie holds up a third finger.
Sophie O’Brian:
Now is the third time the charm? I would hope so, because now I am facing the MWE Champion herself. Melissa Reeves, I do hope that you will live up to the standards of what it means to be THE champion of Millennium. I also hope that you will not underestimate me because know that I will not underestimate you. I know that you are the champion for a reason and you are good. Very good. I will need to bring my very best to topple you and continue your losing streak.
Sophie chuckles.
Sophie O’Brian:
Yes, your losing streak; what happened to you last week, people can say it was a legitimate loss, some will say point to what they call outside interference, but the point is that a loss is a loss and you need to bounce back. You may look at me as an easy picking. I’m still new to MWE, surely you can beat little Sophie O’Brian.
Sophie shakes her head.
Sophie O’Brian:
You are wrong. Sun Tzu says, "Pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance." If you believe me to be inferior then your arrogance will allow me to bring you down and add another loss to your record. This may not be for the championship but know that when I do defeat you tonight, I will have all the evidence I need to argue for a future championship match. And then I will come for you again and your championship.
Sophie O’Brian:
To the rest of you, I say this; pay very close attention to this match. Because I told you all that I was here to make my mark upon this company and remind all of you just what I am capable of. I am Sophie O’Brian and wisdom will be the death of you…
Sophie turns and walks off.
As the camera switched to the backstage area, there seemed to be quite the commotion in one of darker corridors of the arena. The view jumped about, heading down towards the darkness as the voices raised even more, zig zagging through as there seemed to be a figure wearing black, clutching onto another suited figure, undoubtedly male and with messy curls upon their head, freaking out as a much smaller figure clutched them by the throat.
Anastasia Starling:
Was once not enough?
Came the angered but high pitched voice of Anastasia Starling, attired in her raven’s gear, and the raven Alexa perched in the corner watching. The curly haired suit was clearly in the midst of panic, their face shrouded by the shadows, and they could barely answer the fuming Passerine.
Anastasia Starling:
You are the third I have seen here today. The third? Do you grow on trees or do you just spring out of the ground like weeds? You’ve been sworn to secrecy, haven’t you? Told to not say a word? Not give any answers? Well you will answer to me… ANSWER ME!!
The figure could not answer, and only slipped away as Anastasia turned to see the camera upon them. The woman who would be contending for the Cloud Gate Championship marched towards the camera, an inferno of fire in her eyes, and a waterfall coming down from them.
Anastasia Starling:
You should not be here!
She exclaimed, as the feed suddenly cut to static as she approached, and the feed picked up elsewhere.
Singles Match
Sophie O'Brian VS Melissa ReevesSophie O’Brian was waiting in the corner for her opponent to show up. And here she came, Melissa Reeves, the MWE Champion, the face of the company. The woman to beat. O’Brian was focused and determined, you can be sure she studied every time she could get her hands on to find the perfect strategy to best the champion in the ring. Including, of course, last week’s match against Redd Thunder. You could tell by the look in Mel’s eyes that the loss suffered in Beijing was still stinging, a blot she was looking to wash away. The first minutes of the match saw the two competitors testing waters and playing it safe, well aware of how dangerous the opponent can be if given chance to build momentum. The champion eventually took initiative with a headlock takedown, starting a long mat wrestling sequence that saw O’Brian getting the upper and coming out with a grounded front chancery. Mel struggled a bit but eventually pulled herself up, trying to break free with some right hands to the ribs. Sophie immediately stopped her attempt with a nasty knee to the face, following with a suplex. One thing for sure, none of them was holding anything back, in what turned out to be a very evenly matched hard hitting contest between two proud fighters who were trying to one up the opponent. Sophie connected a swift boxing combination, missing the last right hook ducked by the champion who went down low and swept her legs with a kick, driving both feet to O’Brian’s head with a low dropkick. Wasting no time, she pulled her back up and went for some knife edge chops to the chest, sending the irish born against the ropes and scooping her up for a powerslam. Sophie kicked out in two and immediately broke free from Reeves’ grasp, rocking the champion with a couple of forearm strikes and doubling her over with a kick to the stomach, hooking both arms to lift her and drop her onto her knee with a butterfly backbreaker. The pinning predicament only resulted in a near fall. The pace of the match inevitably slowed down around the ten minutes mark, both wrestler looking spent and hurting after the hard fought first part of the battle. Sophie tried to submit Mel with the Grapevine Ankle Lock. The ropes weren’t too far away for the champion but still reaching them took a lot out of the Reaver, who was now holding her leg in pain. O’Brian grabbed her by the foot once again and pulled her back in the center of the ring, looking to capitalize on this moment to the fullest. Melissa had other plans and managed to kick Sophie away, Slowly the MWE champion tried to get back on her feet, helped by the opponent who dragged her up almost to a vertical position, only for the champ to let herself fall down and catch her with a jawbreaker. No grapevine on Mel’s version of the ankle lock, but the submission was no less excruciating . And controlling the leg from a standing position allowed Reeves to drag the opponent away from the ropes when she tried to reach them, forcing Sophie to go through a world of pain before finding a way out of the submission. Both competitors were visibly limping on that right ankle, pushing through the pain to keep this battle going. Punch for punch they were now trading blows in the middle of the ring when their attention was caught by Redd and Chris Constantine advancing to the ring, obviously targeting the MWE champ. No words were spoken but it only took a nod between Mel and Sophia to know what to do. They both hit the ropes and launched themselves at the same time against the two undesired guests with a double suicide dive: Sophia took out CCJ with it, while Mel’s flight only caused the big man to stagger. Nothing a series of kicks from both O’Brian and her and a double superkick couldn’t fix. Now that Redd and Chris were taken care of, the two competitors could go back in the ring and continue their battle. The referee was counting them both and had reached seven already when the two women headed back to the ring. With a sudden and unexpected movement, Reeves broke the temporary alliance and pushed Sophie head first against the steel post, driving her face against it one more time before rolling her back in the ring. where she connected the Facial Deconstructor (Codebreaker) for the win. WINNER: Melissa Reeves BY: Pinfall (Facial Deconstructor), 16:21 |
Jessi Idol: "What a match between these two!"
Peyton Holland: "Look, the champ has asked for a microphone..."
Peyton Holland: "Look, the champ has asked for a microphone..."
As the dust settles on the battle just witnessed, Melissa Reeves pulls herself to her feet and raises her MWE Title into the air. Her attention, though, is firmly on Redd and Constantine - who are both still on the entrance ramp. She demands a microphone and an official obliges.
Melissa Reeves:
What, can't get enough of me, huh Redd? I have a boyfriend, don't you know?
She shakes her head at him, dismissive in her tone.
Melissa Reeves:
So what is this, you take home a cheap victory and suddenly think you deserve to be in my business?
She points down at Sophie - who fought well but ultimately came up short.
Melissa Reeves:
This is what happens when someone actually has the guts to face me one-on-one, without their little BFF holding their hand. They fight hard, they claw and grab to try and show they deserve to topple me and then guess what? They lose.
Reeves shrugs, looking at the title as it sits now on her shoulder.
Melissa Reeves:
But at least Sophie here had the balls to come for me by herself. Do you, Redd? The evidence so far strongly suggests not. So you want this title?
Redd nods. Looks like he does. Suddenly Reeves' tone lightens.
Melissa Reeves:
Well hey big guy, you should have just asked! I'm a fighting champion. Everyone here knows that.
The change of tone takes...well, pretty much everyone off guard.
Melissa Reeves:
And I know you don't just want a handout, do you? No way, of course not. So how about this? Redd, you can get your title match against me, one-on-one...IF you can win the number one contender's match for it. Oh, and your opponent? Constantine.
Both guys look shocked. Reeves smirks now and raises a finger.
Melissa Reeves:
And just to stop one of you from throwing the match, getting pinned after a fingerpoke or something lame? I will be the referee for the contest.
Just like that, the champion has her smile back.
Melissa Reeves:
See you soon, boys.
Reeves drops the mic and raises the title again, before heading into the crowd and toward the back. On the stage the two men look at each other, then back at the champion as she disappears from view.
Cloud Gate Championship Match
Tiff Rollins VS Anastasia StarlingMain event of the evening, the match everyone was looking forward too. Bar Andreas Lasiewicz who never tried to hide the fact that he doesn’t enjoy seeing his family fight. Nonetheless, tonight two young members of his family were stepping into the ring tonight, for that title Tiff has held onto with a firm grasp for 330 days now. Could this be the night her historic reign comes to an end? Will Anastasia Starling be the one to dethrone her? Tiff certainly was set on proving otherwise, or probably was just the eagerness of get her hands on the woman who denied her a clean win and the satisfaction to get her revenge on who ruined her personal life, but Tiffany came off the gate very aggressive, throwing kicks and punches at the masked opponent. Anastasia simply dodged the blows, brought with great force but resulted predictable and imprecise. Starling seemed to dance around her legs and punches with an unmatched and unbelievable lightness and poise, always in perfect control of her body and one step ahead of Tiffany. The frustration grew on Rollins with every missing shot, playing right into Ana’s hand, wasting a lot of energy in this vain attempt and, at the same time, opening herself to the opponent’s offense. And eventually Starling struck, sudden and unexpected, ducking a high kick and sweeping her off her feet with one rotation of her leg. The moment Tiffany hit the mat, Ana was already floating in mid air with a picture perfect standing moonsault, immediately obtaining a near fall. “There is a subtle difference between driving your emotion and letting it drive you”. This was the precious advice the Polish legend whispered to the Cloud Gate Champion a little over one month ago, right before their tag team match in Dallas. An advice that could have turned very useful tonight, if only Tiff could remember it. Instead, hell-bent on hurting Anastasia she kept making the same mistakes over and over again, allowing the Pale Winged Passerine to take control quite easily. Another missed shot by the champion gave Ana the opportunity to hit the opponent with the Spinning Bird Kick, a handstand capoeira kick that knocked the Five Foot Deathmachine down. Glimpses of that dark side of Starling could be seen when she began stomping the blonde girl to the mat with an unusual aggressiveness before trying another cover, once again only obtaining a two. It took her a while, but eventually the Cloud Gate Champion pulled herself off this slump, stopping the charging opponent with a boot to the face and fought her way out of the corner with a series of stiff forearms. This is exactly what Ana didn’t want, giving Tiff a chance to gain momentum. The young champion was one of the hardest hitters in the company, despite the size. Even her chops sounded painful, knocking the wind off Ana’s thorax. And after those came a series of hard kicks to the thigh, until Starling’s leg gave up and she found herself on her knees, her chest an easy target for Tiffany’s kicks. She ended this impressive sequence with a kick to the head, swinging and missing as this was exactly what Ana was expecting. She ducked and caught the champ with a schoolboy pin, but Rollins rolled through and kicked her once again on the side of the head, this time with better aim. Two and three quarters, said the referee. A true rollercoaster of emotion, this match saw the two competitors leaving everything in this ring, paying homage to the respective mentors with a Lady Magdalena’s Our Lady Peace (spinning bicycle kick) from Anastasia and a Peacemaker from the champion. This particular move seemed to set Starling’s off, the blatant homage to her uncle from someone who, in her words, abandoned their family by hiding her name. She kicked out from her uncle’s leaping high knee and stood up snarling, those heterocromia afflicted eyes burning with rage. Her attacks became more furios and violent, one stiff kick busted Tiff’s nose open. The taste of her own blood triggered the immediate response in Rollins, who launched herself on the opponent pinning her to the mat and hitting her with lefts and rights. Ana tried to protect her masked face with her arms, but some of those punches broke through her guard. Eventually she was able to use her bigger size, something she can’t do too often, to roll through and break free. Rollins was quickly back on her feet, wiping some blood off her face and grabbing Ana’s arm, firing her against the ropes and planting her to the mat with a spinebuster! The fans popped on their feet, ready to celebrate as Tiff any made the cover but their cry of joy died in their throat when the Pale Winged Passerine raised her shoulder at the very last moment. Almost twenty minutes in, and none of them seemed ready to give up. Battered, bruised and, in Tiffany’s case, bloodied, but the two competitors were still going. Ana connected with the Pale Winged Passerine, the handspring stunner that gave her a few wins in the past, but tonight that wasn’t enough to put an end to Tiffany’s reign. Rollins was still laying flat on her back, breathing heavily while Ana’s ascended to the top rope. So many options for her, so many different moves she could hit the champion with. But the high stakes, and the position of her body, were pointing in one direction. The Songbird’s Flight, a Phoenix Splash she saves for the special occasions. One last glance at her opponent and Ana was ready to take flight. Her eyes opened wide when she saw Luna quickly approaching with a steel chair in hand. She couldn’t protect herself from the shot that knocked her off the apron, causing the immediate end of the match. WINNER: Anastasia Starling (TIFF ROLLINS STILL CHAMPION) BY: DQ, 23:22 |
Tiff immediately bounced on her feet, sign that she could have, possibly, avoided the Songbird’s Flight and rushed to the ropes. Luna was already leaving under the raining boos of the Chinese fans, but she could be heard saying that it was her title, and she will be the one taking it off Tiffany’s waist.
