Riot in Maryland
Live from the Xfinity Center in College Park, MD
Saturday, October 5th, 2019
The Xfinity Center is filled to capacity. Almost eighteen thousand people chanting and yelling "Riot" over and over welcomed the audience watching the show on MENTV to the third stop of the Homecoming Tour for the Orange Brand. As "Riot" by Three Days Grace starts blaring out of the loudspeaker, colored spotlights begins to dance on the entrance stage, and a clip airs on the tron showing some of the best feats of Riot's top stars, ending with a close up of the champion Eliza Valentine lifting her title in the air. At ringside, sitting at the commentary table, Zackary Dyson and Jacob Figgins greet the fans and introduce us to tonight's card.
Zackary Dyson:
The hottest crowd, a stacked card... It must be Saturday Night!
Jacob Figgins:
Perkele.
Zackary Dyson:
... Right. Welcome to Riot In Maryland, ladies and gentlemen. I'm Zack Dawson, Sir Figgles on my right ready to call the actions of what promises to be another great night for the Orange Brand.
Jacob Figgins:
One look at the card and I can already tell you that this night is going to be the best in a while. Why? First, because my sister is not on it. On a plus, we have the Battle Royale and a Junior Heavyweight Championship match.
Zackary Dyson:
That's right, the future of the Junior Division will be written tonight. Are we going to see a new champion crowned? Is Adam going to retain? And who will be the next in line for a shot at the title?
Jacob Figgins:
That's a whole lot of questions I don't have the answer for, Zacky boy. What I can tell you is that Adam better bring his A game. I've been in the ring with Saki and she knows how to hurt a man.
Zackary Dyson:
Well...
A loud bang of metal in metal brought an immediate hush in the arena, everyone quickly covered their ears and hunkered down with the second clang; a quicker third followed and an even sooner fourth, until the dragging of the chain beat down on the attendance.
Just as quickly as it had started, ear-piercing silence as the lights dimmed to momentary darkness.
LEDs from mobile devices looked like fireflies in the Lake Harmony trees as they ebbed and flowed around the ring and up into the nosebleeds. Even way up there, where it is the hardest to see or hear anything, an eerie chill ran up your spine as hooded druids filed out from behind the curtain in a hollow of smoke. They took position, four on each side of the stage edge, where they slightly swayed and hummed.
For nearly a minute, they hummed.
Then, that first bass beat thumped right in the center of the chest; and, the druids belted out the Ohs of "Devil Inside".
š¼ FED TO THE WOLVES WITHOUT REPRIEVE...
As if his original theme, from the Lonestar debut, wasn't enough, every hair on the back of every neck stood up when Heathen Jones staggered through the curtain. He limped across the stage and took post atop the ramp.
š¼ ...GOD KNOWS I TRIED, "YOU'RE BETTER OFF DEAD".
Filthy; from the crusted dirt in the soles of his Red Wings tucked under the legs of his blood-stained Dickie's to a disgustingly soiled wifebeater. And, he was dusty head to toe. A wide-brimmed straw orchard hat shadowed his face and grizzly, where a pair of shark eyes were buried. They were without soul, two cold, black beads that only understood vile terror.
š¼ KINGDOM COMES WITH A BALL AND CHAIN...
The Godless Heathen from the South was in College Park and he stood there locked on the ring below as his right hand brought a camouflage mudjug to his pout. He spat, dropping the dark tailings of phlegm into his beard to join the crusty remnants already on his chin. If not for the fact, some of the crowd launched their snack wrappers, drink cups and other garbage at him against the arena policy, most were ready to gag.
š¼ SPILL YOUR BLOOD, THERE'S HELL TO PAY!
Around the knuckles of his left hand were the heavy links of the logging chain that dangled down to the steel girders of the stage and then trailed off behind the curtain.
š¼ CAN'T SAVE YOU NOW!
A collective gasp removed the oxygen from the Xfinity Center as he clenched his grip tighter around the links and then picked up the slack. Heathen feigned yanking the chain with all of his might only to pull the chain, length by length around his forearm. Once he had the chain wound up, he ducked his head under and wore it across his chest.
The ends still made quite a clamor as they dragged behind him down the ramp. He avoided any engagement with the fans along both sides, ducking and dodging as though they repulsed him.
Go figure.
Dude stinks. I remember having front row seats last year, not here, but anyway, he walked by me and it was something comparable to sulfur burning your nostrils. Stanky.
At ringside, after all that work getting the chain together, he simply removed it and tossed it up on the apron. Then he slumped himself up to roll in under the bottom rope. On his knees, he dragged the coiled chain to the near corner before using the turnbuckle to push himself to his feet. He crossed the ring, in absolutely no hurry whatsoever, to grab a microphone and return to the center of the ring.
He hadn't lost grip on that dip cup the entire time, because in the center there as he stood, he spat the entire wad before slowly bringing the microphone to his lips.
He waited.
And, waited some more.
Until there was no more garbage in the air and the entire attendance had exhausted in their airing of foul endearment and ridicule.
Heathen Jones:
Funny, ain't itā¦
Echoed over the silence.
Heathen Jones:
...real funny how things just ...change. Let's think about it for a minute, follow along, `cause not too long ago the Heathen was headlining the biggest show ...to date, I might addā¦ in Texas and it wasn't for the Matthews or the Stevens or the James, it was for Millennium! Right here
Heathen pointed to the ring at his feet before continuing
Heathen Jones:
And true, I was not victorious, but I left a scar way down Deep in the Heart.
"ALAN ENVY!" The chant rang out.
Heathen Jones:
Fuck him
Heathen wasn't going to hear it.
Heathen Jones:
Lonestar himself has his own troubles with a scrawny kid down in Florida and that same damned title that just won't fucking die. No matter what I do. I swear.
"MADE IN TEXAS!"
Heathen Jones:
Nah.
Heathen smirked
Heathen Jones:
I really killed that old crow and that is an entirely different--
"ASS! HOLE!"
Heathen Jones:
...but like I was saying ...with the very bane of my existence all caught up in his own fluff
Heathen drove on
Heathen Jones:
I'm putting all of Millennium on notice. Here and now be warned, if you are defending any sort of gold, the chain and I are coming. Up, up, up ...rung by little rung, I'm adding each strap to the chain like charms.
Heathen clearly gets lost in his monologue as he imagines caressing and carrying the title belts.
Heathen Jones:
It's gonna start tonight.
Heathen rolled his eyes into the back of his skull
Heathen Jones:
Where not only do I intend to leave these two, um, who cares what their names are, they will soon be nothing more than broken rungs left behind me in my climb. See...
The camera pulled in tight on Heathen
Heathen Jones:
There's absolutely nothing for me to lose here any longer and every damned thing for me to ...take!
Heathen straight dropped the microphone in the center of the ring to go into the corner with the chain and prepare for the match.

Singles Match
Rome Endrizzi VS Heathen Jones VS Cameron GreyThe match had only just started and Heathen was already on top of Rome, pounding his face with lefts and rights. There was definitely no love lost between them, a rivalry that started in Alabama when Jones made his comeback to MWE assaulting Endrizzi in his first match on the Orange Brand and continued the week after, when Rome returned the courtesy attacking Heathen on his way to the ring before his match. Cameron had played the spectator role in both cases, but not tonight. With a hard kick to the back, he caught Heathenās attention, causing the bearded man to interrupt his hammering of Rome and focus on Cameron, who was waiting for him, ready to bring him down with a drop toe hold. Rome, still stunned by the initial onslaught, was slowly rising up to his feet. Cameron noticed it and kicked him on the face with a low dropkick, quickly turning around to grab Jones by the wrist and running up the ropes for a springboard arm drag. Rome was back on his feet, charging at Grey who tripped his leg and sent him hanging on the middle rope, following with a tiger feint kick. Standing on the apron, he jumped back into the ring with a springboard crossbody on Jones, who caught him in mid air and āaccompaniedā him on the mat with a side slam. He made a cover, but Rome was happy to break it with stomping Heathenās head as hard as he possibly could. If Grey tried to bring war to both his opponents, Jones opted for a different and, at least on paper, more effective approach. When Cameron and Rome were both laying on the mat, consequence of a mid-air collision when both of them went for a crossbdy at the same time, Heathen picked the former member of TMNT up and lifted him over his head in a gorilla press position. Instead of dropping him on the mat with a powerslam for one of his characteristic moves, he sinmply tossed him out of the ring, wathcing him laying down for a few seconds before turning his focus on Endrizzi. There was nothing fancy in Heathenās offense, the only goal was to hurt the young man standing in front of him and closed fists were more than enuough to achieve it. Stuck in the corner with nowhere to go, Rome was at least trying to protect himself the best way he could from the incessant strikes of his opponent who didnāt look like he was going to slow down anytime soon, not until Rome collapsed under his strikes. With the opponent now sitting in the corner, Heathen went for a cannonball senton, crashing against the turnbuckle as Rome rolled out of the ring. Jones was back on his feet before his opponent, determined to keep the punishment going. He dragged Rome back inside the ring and went for a stiff forearm to the jaw, blocked by Endrizzi who then finally started landing some offense of his own, showing how dangerous of a striker he could be. Jones was recoiling toward the ropes under his strikes, hooks and kicks and a spinning elbow that left Heathen stunned. One standing side kick later and the Godless was down. Not for long though, as Rome picked him up and planted him with his Faded Line (Suplex Into A DDT), making the cover interrupted at two by Cameron. The last part of the match saw a lot of false finishes. All three men were leaving it all out in this ring, hitting each other with their best moves. Heathen with the always spectacular Heathenās Halo (Vertigo) on Rome, who surprisingly managed to raise his shoulder. Cameron caught Jones in his The Struggle Is Real (Flying Triangle Choke), but the submission was broken by Rome who quickly connected another Faded Line on the former Kid Terra. This time Heathen was the one crashing Romeās hopes and breaking up the pinning predicament. A superkick from Cameron knocked down Rome, but before he could capitalize, Jones grabbed his hand and fired him in the corner, charging at ful speed and breaking him in half with a shoulder to the stomach. Endrizzi was still struggling to get back to his feet, and looked dizzy, pretty much out of it. Heathen left the ring and grabbed the chain he brought with him, using it to bind Cameron to the corner! The crowd was furious, as yelling all kind of insults at Heathen while Grey was, unsuccesfully, trying to break free. Laughing, Jones reached Rome, dragging him up ready to finish the match. Instead, Endrizzi surprised him with a kick to the stomach and lifted him in a suplex position. The roars of the crowd who was looking forward for another Faded Line quickly died when Heathen went low, kicking Rome right there and immediately planting him for the Lockdown (Snap DDT). With Grey still locked in the corner, unable to break the pin, nothing was stopping Heathen from picking up the victory. WINNER: Heathen Jones BY: Pinfall (Lockdown), 10:41 |
Zackary Dyson: "Well, that's one way to win a match."
Jacob Figgins: "A creative one, definitely."

Singles Match
Alan Envy VS Kristina SpencerEnvy entered the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Some of them where chanting and cheering for the Lonestar Champion, others didnāt appreciate his recent actions, such as showing up at the last Southside PPV and steal their Lonestar Championship from Jordan Parker-Kane. And they made sure he knew it with signs and chants pro JPK. As the bell rang, Kristina and Alan started moving in circles, studying the opponent. Alan went for a right hook, ducked by Kristina who doubled him over with a knee to the stomach. She followed with a rising kick, building some momentum with a series of lightning quick strikes, that left Alan stunned in the center of the ring. She grabbed his wrist and sent him against the ropes, Alan reversed and waited for her with another clothesline. Once again Spencer ducked it and jumped on the middle rope, bouncing back into a stunner and immediately hooking the leg. Alan kicked out from the move she calls Air Crazy in two and quickly pulled himself up, reaching the opponent with some quick jabs before taking her down with a clothesline. A total of four knife edge chops followed before Krissy was sent against the ropes and knocked down with a polish hammer. The Wicked One was struggling to get any sort of offense in. Alan was firmly in control, his striking combination and power moves quickly wearing the opponent down. A suplex into a backbreaker gave him the illusion of a win, but Spencer kicked out and rolled out of the ring right after. Alan blocked her when she was still on the apron and pulled her up to her feet by her long blond hair, earning himself a warning for the referee. He shrugged, but the brief interruption allowed Krissy to recover and surprised him with a thumb to the eye, quickly following with a kick to the head. Finally managing to build some momentum, she drove her shoulder in his midscetion, doubling him over and slingshotting herself back inside the ring with a somersault, grabbing Envy by the waist and rolling him into a cover. The kickout was almost immediate, but when the Lonestar raised back to his feet, he stood up right into a roundhouse kick by his opponent, who was quick to follow with a cover. Obviously, it wasnāt enough to keep Alan down. The Wicked One had her best opportunity to win the match when she went for her A Wicked Good Time, landing with her knees on Alanās chest after leaping off the top rope with a moonsault. Everybody thought she had him there but the veteran raised his shoulder in time, taking back control with a headbutt/neckbreaker combination. From that moment on, the Lonestar stayed on the driver seat collecting a series of near falls showing off all his arsenal of suplexes, powerbombs, lariats and his patented Gordbuster. Krissy tried another comeback but it was too little too late. Alan dodged her attack and clubbed her from behind and pulled her in for a ripcord headbutt. Spencer hadnāt recovered from that just yet when he nailed her with the Evenflow DDT, picking up another win and finally put some wind in his sails. WINNER: Alan Envy BY: Pinfall (Envyous Demise), 7:33 |
Jacob Figgins: "Another win in the books for the Lonestar Champion. Look at him with his two titles!"
Zackary Dyson: "Well, at least one of those titles is yours. The other one? It might be real soon."
Jacob Figgins: "That's right, save the date guys. October 23rd in Dallas it's going to be our own Alan Envy against Southside own Jordan Parker-Kane for the Lonestar Championship."
Zackary Dyson: "The Southside one, not the LCW. The one held by JPK, just to clear the air from any confusion."
Jacob Figgins: "That's right. More on this story on the next Southside show, where these two will sign the contract. And we all know how these things go..."

We cut backstage to a shot of Kelsey Spencer in the locker room, stretching in preparation for her participation in the battle royal later tonight. She turns to her right and reaches for something, but flinches when she sees Duncan Watts enter.
Kelsey Spencer:
Oh, hello. Duncan ā¦ right?
Duncan awkwardly looks at the ground, a hand scratching the back of his head as he gives a nod.
Duncan Watts:
Yeah, although the government would say my nameās still The Misery, Duncan was the name my folks gave me. I was named after my gramps, he fought in āNam.
Kelsey gives a half smile and nods.
Kelsey Spencer:
Then, that's what I'll call you. The Misery sounds kinda ā¦ well, miserable, doesn't it?
She chuckles and grins, before realising how strange it is that Duncan's actively seeking her out.
Kelsey Spencer:
What brings you out this way, anyhow?
Duncan stops scratching his head, and looks out into the distance for a moment, before turning his attention to Kelsey.
Duncan Watts:
Well, first of allā¦ Kelsey, I come to ask for your forgiveness. I am well and truly, deeply sorry for everything I said and did to you as The Misery. I was a sick man. I was off my meds. I was a total mess. I had lost all sense of realityā¦ but Iām better now. I just really want you to know that everything I did back then, I sincerely regret. I hurt a lot of people, but once this thing with Heath is overā¦ Iāll make it all right.
Kelsey wears a gentle, friendly smile as she shakes her head.
Kelsey Spencer:
You don't have to ask me for forgiveness ā¦ coz it's all in the past already, as far as I'm concerned. I know you weren't well, and Heath took advantage of that. But, I'm glad to see you're doing better now.
She places a hand on his shoulder.
Kelsey Spencer:
And I get that you wanna make things right with everyone, but you donāt owe me anything, all right?
Duncan gives a light smile.
Duncan Watts:
Thank you, Kelsey. But lookā¦ an apology wasnāt the only thing to bring me here. Iām also here to ask a favor of you. Like you just said to me, you donāt owe me anything, but I still think I should ask, regardless of your answerā¦
Duncan takes a deep breath.
Duncan Watts:
You and I both know what Heath Williams is capable of. The man is a lunatic, honestly he should be the one taking meds. But anyway, I donāt know how things are gonna go tonight. Chances are, heāll try playing it dirty, or heāll do something totally diabolical as per usual. And wellā¦ thatās where you come inā¦ I guess, to cut a long story short, Iām here to ask if youāll do the honor of being my manager tonight. Now, obviously you have a match later, so you donāt need to feel obligated or anything.
Kelsey Spencer:
I'd be happy to have your back tonight. Just, uhh ā¦
She leans in close - maybe a little too close for comfort - as she whispers.
Kelsey Spencer:
Be honest with me. You and The Manic ā¦ did you guys ever ā¦ you know ā¦
Duncan blushes.
Duncan Watts:
Go on dates and stuffā¦? Sortaā¦ if you consider going to the butcher to choose the best cut of meat a dateā¦
She shakes her head.
Kelsey Spencer:
No no, I'm not talking about dates ā¦ I mean, did you ever ā¦
She fidgets with her hands a little, as if she's trying to mime something.
Kelsey Spencer:
ā¦ make whoopie?
Duncan frowns and stares at Kelsey for a moment, then his eyes bulge out of sudden realization for what Kelseyās talking about.
Duncan Watts:
Oh! No, we never made any whoopie cushions.
She chuckles before finally taking a step back, standing with hands on hips.
Kelsey Spencer:
Well, in any case, I'll be in your corner tonight. Just ā¦ be careful in there, okay? Heath's pretty dangerous when he's angry or upset.
Duncan smiles.
Duncan Watts:
Hey, Iāll be alright! Iāve got a damn good manager in my corner! Not to mention, everything I learned was from Heath. Itās time to see if the student can beat the master.
Together, the two new friends shake hands, and the scene fades.
Singles Match
Heath Williams VS Duncan WattsDuncan Watts and Heath Williams stare each other down centre ring. Kelsey Spencer cheers Duncan on from the outside, as does The Manic for Heath. As the bell rings, the two competitors lock up in a battle of strength. Heath comes out on top, however Watts clearly picked up a few tricks as The Misery, and hits Williams with a solid headbutt that knocks the Heath Williams Champion back a few steps. They go at it again, the crowd heavily behind Watts, though this time itās Heath who gets the upper hand with a payback headbutt. Watts stumbles back this time, but before long theyāre locking up for a third time. This round, they both have the same idea, a dual headbutt, that knocks them both to the canvas. āThat all you got?!ā Duncan shouts as he gets to his feet. āShut up, bootleg!ā Heath retorts, as he too gets to his feet. Watts charges, but Williams takes him by the waist and launches him into the air, followed by a super european uppercut, a move not typically seen in the Williams arsenal. Instead of letting Watts collapse, Heath grabs him by the shoulders, and follows up with a stern knee to the midsection, before tossing him aside. He takes the time to gloat, solely for the purpose of pissing everyone else off, then takes turns stomping Watts in the gut and head. Finally, he goes to make the cover, but only picks up a two. Watts then makes a super cool come back, so cool you wouldnāt believe me if I told you, so I wonāt. But itās cool. Trust me. Itās all Watts for the next couple of minutes, as he unleashes a flurry of different attacks and maneuvers he would perform as The Misery. He goes for the cover, but just like Williams previously, Watts can only pick up the two count. The two competitors go back and forth for a while, the momentum switching hands multiple times. Then Watts knocks Williams with a vicious elbow to the nose, followed by an irish whip to the corner. He manages the Helluva Kick, leaving Heath slumped down in the corner. Kelsey cheers Duncan on, this looks like it could be it. Watts climbs the opposite turnbuckle, and readies himself for Coast to Coast. As he picks up hang time, Williams rolls out of the way, and Watts comes crashing down to the canvas, hurting his back in the process. Williams uses this opportunity to wail on his downed opponent, before dragging him into the corner he previously sat in. He climbs the same turnbuckle as Watts had, then comes off with a successful Coast to Coast. He follows up by pulling Watts to his feet, and nailing him with Frozen Over. Victory. WINNER: Heath Williams BY: Pinfall (Frozen Over), 3:02 |
Zackary Dyson: "Another impressive win for Heathen."
Jacob Figgins: "It's an historic night, Zack! We are witnessing the born of The Mutt! Aren't you excited?"
Jacob Figgins: "It's an historic night, Zack! We are witnessing the born of The Mutt! Aren't you excited?"
After the match, Heath gestures towards the ramp, and after a few moments, a member of the production crew comes out with a chest in his hands. The Manic slides into the ring, and takes the chest off the production memberās hands, placing it down on the canvas. Kelsey watches on from the outside, ready to pounce the second things get out of hand. The Manic opens up the chest, and pulls outā¦
ā¦ a gimp suit?!...
ā¦ and a leash?!
Duncan tries to get to his feet, but heās kicked in the midsection by Heath, and rolls back over onto his back. He then holds Duncan down, as The Manic gets the gimp suit at the ready.
It's at this point that Kelsey has seen enough. She springs into action, sliding in under the bottom rope and squaring up Williams. She winds up and smacks him square in the jaw with a precise superkick delivered with such force, it threatens to rearrange his facial features.
Spencer stands over the fallen Watts and stares daggers at The Manic, almost like she's daring her to step up to her. The Manic holds her hands out for a moment, begging Kelsey for spare her. However, when Kelsey lowers her guard for the tiniest fraction of a second, The Manic uses the leash as a whip and attempts to use it as a weapon against Spencer.
Kelsey catches the leash under her arm, holding it firmly as she watches Manic with an unamused expression. Manic desperately tries to yank the leash free, but Spencer uses it as a means to close the distance between them. As The Manic staggers forward, Spencer delivers a boot to the gut, wrenches her into a front facelock and drives her to the canvas with a spine re-aligning Deprivation DDT.
Kelsey helps Duncan to his feet, and together the two individuals exit the ring, and slowly make way up the ramp. However, Duncan has a habit of looking back the entire way up, something not quite right in his gaze. This could be because of the beating he receivedā¦ or perhaps something else entirely.
Tag Team Match
Nightfall Rising VS Jetpack
Coming back to MWE after their first appearance at āA Midsummer Nightās Dreamā, Nightfall Rising was making their debut on Riot tonight, against the former MWE tag team Champions Jetpack. A lot can be said about Jay and Donnie, they are definitely loud, obnoxious at times and chaotic in a wayā¦ But their talent canāt be denied, their match against The BreeTee Committee and their streak going on in Portland are proof of that. Jet was the chosen one amongst his team to start things off, Jay and Donnie opted for a more random approach, deciding who was going tp start with a game of Rock, Paper Scissors. A best of three, actually, as Jay pointed out after losing the first round. Donovan didnāt look convinced at all, but still decided to play the two extra round, losing them both and heading to his corner shaking his head while Gallagher met Blanchard in the center of the ring. After an initial grappling sequence where the two superstars traded holds and positions for a good minute, Jet found himself behind the opponent and quickly wrapped his arms around his waist, pushing Jay toward the ropes and flating into a pinning predicament with an OāConnor Roll. Showing a great presence of mind, Donnie extended his arm and made the blind tag when his partner bounced against the ropes. Entering the ring, he immediately broke up the pin (although in all fairness the referee never started the count, since Jay was no longer legal) with a superkick to Jetās chin. Nodding his head, proud of what he just pulled, Donnie taunted the fans, tapping his index on his temple. Doing so, he gave Jet precious time to recover, allowing Blanchard to surprise him with a cradle. Keaneās reaction was quick, reversing the pin so that now Jetās shoulders were on the mat. The scene repeated itself a couple more times, with the two opponents trading position, rolling all over the mat. Finally, DK kicked out and sttof quickly back up, pretty much at the same time Jay did. And at the same time, they both went for a dropkick. It was a particularly enjoyable and despite Nightfall almost stealing an early one when Donnie failed a tiger suplex attempt, opting for a schoolboy pin when Blanchard freed himself with an elbow to the jaw. He even used the ropes for extra leverage, but still it wasnāt enough to hold Blanchard down for the three. Eventually the experience and the habit of competing at the highest level became a factor and helped the former MWE Tag Champions to gain control. Penelope with a hiptoss followed by a legdrop obtained another near fall, firing then Donovan in her corner. There she made the tag to her partner and they both grabbed one of Donnie's arms, pulling him in for a double front kick following with a double ddt. Jet made the cover after the Shine On/Double Mint combination, Jay rushed in and avoiding Penny's block, saved the match for his team. At ringside, Imogen could be heard yelling at her brother to stay focus, in an attempt to spur him. It was a difficult moment for the Nightfall member, stuck in the enemy's corner helpless victim of Jetpack's. But when he heard his sister's voice, he something snap poured in him. A kick to PenPen's ribs, an elbow to keep Jet at distance and an enziguri to open his way to the corner, where Jay was waiting for him with the arm stretched out. The tag was made, and Jay Gallagher jumped into the ring, hitting Jet, who took the tag from her partner on the knee with a low dropkick, going for a curren Stomp right after, barely avoided by Blanchard. The two kept trading blows, and it was the the former Tag Champion who got the upper hand, as he doubled the opponent over with a kick to the gut and lifted him upside down for a vertical suplex. Gallagher kicked out from the following pinfall attempt, stunning Jet with a throat thrust as Blanchard was picking him up and, grabbing his arm in a wristlock and pulling him in a jumping high knee. Back and forth they want for a couple of minutes, Jay almost getting the win for his team after hitting the Jay-Breaker (Lifting Double Knee Backbreaker). With a superkick out of nowhere, Jet ended Jayās offense and created himself the opportunity to make the tag. Penny entered the ring and, at the same time, Jay reached his corner and tagged Donnie back in. The former Tag Champion seemed more fresh than her opponent, and after a brief exchange, she set him up for the Penelope Code with a knee to the sternum, connecting the Running Corkscrew Neckbreaker. Jay entered the ring, trying to get to Penny despite the referee standing in his way. Turns out, it was just a trick to give Donnie some time to recover. When Penny turned back to her opponent to make the cover, Keane rolled her up with a cradle, pulling her trunks and scoring a three count. He then immediately rolled under the ropes, joining Jay and Imogen in celebration and leaving a shocked Penelope shaking her head inside the ring. WINNER: Nightfall Rising BY: Pinfall (Inside Cradle Pin), 14:01 |

Backstage we cut to Dean Smith as heās arriving to the arena a little later than everybody else. Dressed in a nice dress shirt, a pair of sunglasses on, a brand new watch on his wrist and some fitted jeans. In one hand heās carrying his bag with ring gear while in the other heās carrying the Invictus Championship title. Coincidentally, his sister Bree is walking by and hails him. Bree wearing her BreeTee Committee shirt and black MIB glasses while walking around with her usual ring gear trunks and boots.
Dean Smith:
After the match last week. After facing Zooey as that surprise entrant, and looking at the show tonight...thereās only one result I can get here tonight in Maryland.
Dean brings up the Invictus Championship to hold it over his shoulder.
Dean Smith:
A win. The Champion is the best of the best in the division and right now thatās up for debate. Meg Rydell picked up the win against Christina back in Tennessee but this is the Invictus Division, and Iām your Invictus Champion. Iāve got to prove to the doubters from that Tennessee show that whenever Zooey gets that title match...I am still the champion for a reason.
Dean Smith:
So Iāve studied your matches. Millennium, Portland Pro. Iāve seen how your temper gets when you lost to your sister, Kenzie. Tonight Iām going to prove to the doubters the difference between facing someone at random and someone Dean Smithās prepared for. It ends one way..
Dean then holds up the Invictus Championship like he would at the end of a contest.
Dean Smith:
Oh, and Cole? Good luck.
Which leaves Dean exiting the area to the right. A few seconds pass when Deanās sister Bree enters from the left. Sheās dressed to compete, wearing her #BreeTeeCommittee hat
Bree Smith:
Sooooo!
Bree rubs her hands together gleefully and excitedly..
Bree Smith:
A big bad-ass battle royal for the Junior Heavyweight Title! Ten Dudes and Dudettes to see whoās going to face Adam Webb or Saki. Iām excited to turn things around here. Seriously stoked to get out there and throw people out. Iāve got the guns to throw every single person out there over. Iāve worked on my deadlifts, Iāve worked on my shoulder raises, Iāve been in the gym.
This is where Bree is slapping the back of her hand into her other hand, speaking louder due to the frustrations of her matches in recent weeks.
Bree Smith:
Busting my butt day in and day out to be in peak condition to win this contest. Now I know Teaganās in there too, but weāre doing our comments separately because weāre opponents tonight. We know it can only be one, and we would like it to be either of us. So, tonight, me and Teegs are on a Break for this contest.
She says quoting the Friends Pun while her sister Millie can be spotted wearing a Liv Mercer T-Shirt and a BreeTeeCommittee shirt and an Invictus Championship replica to show her support for all three.
Bree Smith:
But weāll be back together here, or in [R]evo with yours truly, The Oreo Monster, with a Junior Heavyweight Championship in my future. Good luck Trey, Good luck Millieās friend Liv, Good luck Kelseyā¦.
Millie sharply gets herself off-camera upon seeing the camera Breeās talking to. Breeās eyes narrow, as sheād said many months ago she wanted to finally get a win over Kelsey. Then Bree puts her hand up on one side of her mouth as Bree slightly whispers.
Bree Smith:
And a special good luck to Teegs, obviously.
Before Bree straightens up her cap and holds her right wrist. She clenches her fist tightly to look ready.
Bree Smith:
Cause yāall fighting for second place
Bree says before exiting left, the same direction of her sister as the scene slowly fades back to ringside.

Invictus Rules
Zooey West-Jaa VS Cole GregoryInvictus Rules
One week ago Zooey West-Jaa made her return to MWE with an impressive win against the Invictus Champion Dean Smith. Could she tonight make two in a row against the first ever to hold that title? First Round Unlike Dean one week ago, Cole knew exactly what he was walking into, and he had time to prepare himself and study the Thai opponent. And come up with a plan to counter her offense. His impeccable defense frustrated almost every attack from Zooey. Whether he dodged them or blocked them, very few strikes landed, and those that did werenāt as precise and lethal as they used to be. After weathering the initial storm, Cole went on the offense, taking down West-Jaa with a sweep kick, beginning to work on her right leg, source of a good 90% of her offense. He had now Zooey in an ankle lock, with the former Muay Thai champion crawling toward the ropes, momentarily forgetting that reaching them wouldnāt grant her the break she needed. She still grabbed it, and used them to pull herself up, despite the opponent still holding and twisting her foot. Turning around she rocked him with an enziguri, breaking free from the grasp. Stomping the injured foot on the mat, she then charged at Cole with a jumping knee, sidestepped by Gregory who then caught Zooey in a snap German suplex as she bounced off the ropes after the missed shot. He immediately went for the leg again, but the time was up. Judges Scores: Kirilenko: Gregory 10-9 Dyson: Gregory 10-8 Figgins: Gregory 10-9 Second Round: The second the bell rang, everyone was expecting Zooey to charge in head-on in the attempt to turn the negative verdict of the judges. But she didn't, keeping her cool instead and staying on the defensive, almost luring her opponent in. Cole struck first with a Roundhouse Kick that caught West-Jaa right on the side of the head. She fell backwards, the ropes stopping her fall. Feeling the momentum on his side, Gregory charged in and leaped, going for a superman punch and eating a kick from the Thai. It was the opening she needed, the chance to break through the former champ solid defense and start hammering him with her kicking combinations. And she really dropped her whole arsenal on the poor Cole, who wasn't able to avoid them anymore. A spinning heel kick, Roundhouse, chick kickā¦ Each and one of them hitting the target. A particularly vicious knee strike cut the young man right above the eye, and somehow triggered a reaction in him. He connected a few kicks to the ribs and a roaring elbow that sent Zooey against the ropes. She rebounded back with a bicycle knee, and that was the end of it. Cole was out, and Zooey obtained another impressive win. WINNER: Zooey West-Jaa BY: KO (Bicycle Knee), Round 2; 3:29 |
Zackary Dyson: "She beat the Invictus Champion, she beat the former Invictus Champion.. I'm starting to wonder if this woman can be stopped."
Jacob Figgins: "Taco Pants."
Zackary Dyson: "... Those would stop everyone, I'm sure. In an Invictus Division that was starting to lack competition, Zooey West-Jaa is exactly the shock the place needed."
Jacob Figgins: "Taco Pants."
Zackary Dyson: "... Those would stop everyone, I'm sure. In an Invictus Division that was starting to lack competition, Zooey West-Jaa is exactly the shock the place needed."
The scene cuts backstage to Megan Rydell in her locker room. She is finishing up tying up her hair in a ponytail before she glances over at the camera and she gives an eyeroll.
Megan Rydell:
So, youāre here to hear me talk about my match with Dean Smith, right? Our little Invictus Rules match? The one where he should have the advantage in?
Meg laughs and shakes her head.
Megan Rydell:
Dean Smith will never have an advantage over me. It doesnāt even matter if it is a match that he specializes in or not. The fact of the matter is, Dean is nowhere near as talented as I am. Iām the star of this company! Iāve always been the star of this place. You all seem to forget that Pride Pro, which soon turned into Millennium, was built on the backs of Eliza Valentine and myself. None of you would be here if it wasnāt for women like us. This second brand named Riot wouldnāt be here if it wasnāt for me!
She nods confidently.
Megan Rydell:
So, you all should be thanking me! Thank me for your jobs and your paychecks! Thank me for bringing out the best performances ever here, night in and night out. Thank me for simply being me!
Meg steps closer to the camera and continues on.
Megan Rydell:
As for you, Dean Smith? You basic fuck who comes from the most basic family of all time? Iām going to show the world tonight that you and your entire family are talentless wrestlers. Youāre all a bunch of failures and you canāt compare to the skill and talent that the Rydellās have. You got that?
She lets out a light laugh and shakes her head.
Megan Rydell:
You and anyone else who believes that you have a chance out there tonight are a bunch of fucking idiots. You donāt stand a chance against the most talented wrestler this company has ever seen. Invictus rules or not, Iām just too damn good for you and Iām going to show the world that tonight.
Meg brushes past the camera and the scene cuts away.

Invictus Rules
Meg Rydell VS Dean SmithInvictus Rules
Looking to bounce back from the tough loss suffered last week, Dean stepped into the ring tonight against Meg Rydell, who made her debut in the Invictus Division. First Round The two competitors started moving in circles. Dean seemed way more cautious than he used to be, in his approach, mindful of how underestimating his opponents costed him in the past. Megan instead went immediately for her Crescent Kick, barely dodged by Dean. Rydell taunted him showing with her thumb and index how close she got. Dean didn't take the mockery lightly and charged at her with a clothesline, ducked by Meg who then doubled him over with a back kick the stomach, knocking him down with an Axe Kick. Smith pushed himself up almost immediately, catching Meg with a pop up powerbomb as she charged at him. He tried building some momentum, but Megan was quick to shut down his offense with a thumb to the eye. The referee saw it and reminded her that, under the Invictus rules, things like this can cost her a point deduction. For this time, she only walked away with a warning. As Dean was still blinded, Rydell kicked his leg and forced him on his knee, planting him with a hurricanrana driver. In the last minute, the former Cloud Gate Champion missed with a Roundhouse Kick, giving Dean the chance to take her down and mount on top of her for a series of lefts and rights. The bell rang, stopping the onslaught. Judges Scores: Kirilenko: Draw, 10-10 Dyson: Rydell 10-9 Figgins: Smith 10-9 Second Round The discrepancy in the judgement was received with surprise by both the competitors and the fans as well, but was further proof that the contest was very evenly matched. The same can't be said for the second round, that saw a very aggressive Dean dominating the opponent since the opening bell when, with a huge shoulder tackle, he sent her flying across the ring. He tackled her in the corner, wearing her down with a series of knee strikes to the chest and ribs before tossing her backwards with a belly to belly suplex. He then climbed on the top rope and waited for the perfect moment to leap and hit her with his Mean Dean (Diving High Knee) obtaining the KO win. WINNER: Dean Smith BY: KO (Mean Dean), Round 2: 1:52 |
Zackary Dyson: "Zooey made a statement earlier tonight, and here's Dean's answer!"
Jacob Figgins: "Smith immediately got back on track after last week's loss."
Zackary Dyson: "He sure did. The champ is still on top of his game, and he made sure Zooey knows it."
Jacob Figgins: "It's definitely not over between them, i can tell you that much."
Jacob Figgins: "Smith immediately got back on track after last week's loss."
Zackary Dyson: "He sure did. The champ is still on top of his game, and he made sure Zooey knows it."

The scene cuts to backstage the Junior Heavyweight Champion, Adam Webb is seen leaving his locker room. He is already in his ring gear and has a determined look on his face as he adjusts his championship belt that sits on his waist. He gives a slight glare to the camera as his eyes slowly raise up.
Adam Webb: Another Riot night and another chance for me to showcase why I am the Junior Heavyweight Champion. But this time I have to wonder what did Saki do to earn a shot at the title? Last time we faced? Saki got herself disqualified and lost the match. She hasnāt even had a match since thenā¦ Can anyone tell me how getting disqualified against the champion earns you a championship match two shows later? Iām all for the spirit of competition here but you are rewarding Saki for screwing over the fans who wanted to see a match have an actual, definitive ending. You let her jump in line, over everyone in this company, and for what reason?
Adam rolls his eyes.
Adam Webb: You have a ten person battle royal tonight for a shot at the Junior Heavyweight Championship. Ten people that didnāt get disqualified and lose to the champion already that you are making them earn their shot. But Saki? You are just giving it away. Kelsey Spencer, Trey Cole, Liv Mercer, Kate Steele and Spectre. Javen, Christina Rose, Teddy Steele, Teegan Gallagher and Bree Smith. Those are all the talents in the battle royal that have to earn their shot and they are all the talents that Riot just seemed to glance over. I want to face the best here in Riot. I want to take on the top names and test myself against them, but at the same time I want to feel like I am worth something to this brand and that facing me and getting an opportunity for the championship that I hold is worth more than just a random handout.
He demeanor changes slightly, offering up a subtle shrug of the shoulders.
Adam Webb: Maybe itās an oversight. Maybe Iām thinking too much into it and this is just Riot wanting to showcase itās Junior Heavyweight Champion and the best it could do for this showcase was Saki. Regardless, Iām going to go out there and give the fans exactly what they came for. This time, this doesnāt end in a disqualification.
Adam smiles at the camera before walking off down the hallway.
Over The Top Elimination Battle Royal
Number One Contendership for the Junior Heavyweight Championship
Kelsey Spencer VS Trey Cole VS Liv Mercer VS Kate Steele VS Spectre VS Javen VS Christina Rose VS Teddy Steele VS Teegan Gallagher VS Bree SmithNumber One Contendership for the Junior Heavyweight Championship
Ten competitors, one shot at the Junior Heavyweight title against whoever the champion will be after the match between Webb and Saki. And only one way to eliminate the competition, throwing them over the top rope. The match started and, as easily predictable with ten people simultaneously in the ring, it was pure chaos. Kelsey stood out of the crowd, and not only for her blue hair. She was almost dancing in the middle of the ring, moving through all the opponents, gracefully dodging their strikes and countering with her own moves, kicking Teegs in the stomach and hitting Christina Rose with a back elbow, applying a Ā¾ facelock on her and stepping on Rose to give herself the push necessary to flip backwards and drop the Irish down with a Shiranui. The HolligunnZ were working together on Javen, the only McMillion in this match since Christian Michaels couldn't take part in it due to the weight limit. After wearing him down with multiple kicks, Cole lifted him for a released belly to back suplex into a double knee gutbuster. They then picked him up and threw him over the top rope, scoring the first elimination. Or so they thought. Javen managed to hung on the ropes, his feet hanging a few inches from the floor. By the time Trey realized it, Simon had already climbed on the apron. He ducked Cole's punch that would have certainly eliminated him and drove his shoulder in the opponent mid section. Spectre turned around ready to knock Javen off the apron. In help of her brother-in-law came Kelsey Spencer, pushing the Swoltergeist out of the ring. Rumchata Ayano: Spectre has been eliminated (Kelsey Spencer, 1st elimination). Realizing that his brother in arms has just been eliminated, Trey looked for revenge on Kelsey, but the moment he turned his back on Javen was the moment when the McMillion entered the ring and hit him with the Javen Effect (Reverse Twist Of Fate). In another part of the ring, Teddy Steele was hitting Bree with quick jabs, dancing and wobbling between one stroke and the other. Strike after strike, he had Smith in the corner. A couple more strikes then he moonwalked a few steps back, dropping some lines before charging at the blonde girl, who bent forward and tossed him outside the ring with a backbody drop. Rumchata Ayano: Teddy Steele has been eliminated! (Bree Smith, 1st elimination) Christina Rose was hanging on the ropes for dear life while Liv Mercer was holding her leg and trying to push her out of the ring. Despite the former Riot Champion efforts, Rose avoided the elimination, thanks to the intervention of Kate Steele who clocked Mercer from behind. Bree and Kelsey were fighting not too far from them, dangerously close to the ropes. Smith with the power advantage easily came out on top of the exchange and lifted the former member of the Uncanny Socialites over her head, ready to score her second elimination. Kelsey slipped away and landed behind Bree's back, pushing her over the top rope. The blonde girl landed on the apron, quickly sliding back inside the ring. Javen and Cole were still fighting their personal war. In three weeks they will meet again, alongside their partners, at the Homecoming ppv, with the MWE tag team titles on the line. They've been focusing on one another since Spectre's early elimination, turning this into a single match inside the Battle Royale. Javen picked the opponent up after a ddt and sent him against the ropes with an Irish whip. Just when the McMillion was about to hit them, Spectre who was still hovering at ringside, pulled down the top rope, causing Javen to fall outside. Rumchata Ayano: Javen has been eliminated! (Trey Cole, 1st elimination) Javen was fuming, arguing with the referee who told him that, since his feet touched the ground, he was out of it. Simon then took it out on Spectre, all while Cole was making fun of him. His celebration was cut short by Kelsey, who tapped him on the shoulder and, as soon as he turned around, superkicked him out of the ring. Rumchata Ayano: Trey Cole has been eliminated! (Kelsey Spencer, 2nd elimination) Kelsey smiled and shrugged his shoulders at the incredulous MWE tag team champion, before turning her attention back to the action, just when Liv was charging at her with a leg lariat. Cole joined his tag partner in his fight against Javen. The two on one didn't last long as, welcomed by an occasion from the fans, CM came to the rescue the two team fought their way backstage, while inside the ring the Breetee Committee joined forces to eliminate Kate Steele. Rumchata Ayano: Kate Steele has been eliminated! (Bree Smith, 2nd elimination; Teagan Gallagher 1st elimination) Christina Rose rushed at Teegs, hiring her with a running forearm shot to the back of the head. Liv jumped on Bree's back and wrapped her arms around the opponent's neck in a sleeper hold, aiming at weakening her rather than choking her out. Bree tried to break free, but the opponent's grasp was to tight to power out of. In a desperate attempt, Smith backed down into the corner, squashing Liv against the turnbuckle. Mercer didn't let her go, not even the second time Bree went for the same move. Third time was a change for the blonde girl, who finally broke free. While on her knees catching her breath she noticed her tag partner struggling in a precarious position, desperately trying to stay in the match. Bree rushed to her help, running right into a dropkick by Kelsey. The moment she touched the floor, so did Teegs. Rumchata Ayano: Teagan Gallagher has been eliminated! (Christina Rose, 1st elimination) When she heard the announcement, Bree jerked up to her feet, hammering Kelsey with a few stiff shots knocking her down and taking out her frustration on Christina, guilty of eliminating her tag partner. Lefts and rights rained on the Blossoming Rose, who reacted with a knee to the guts. An uppercut followed, but that only seemed to irate Bree even more. The former powerlifter annihilated the opponent with a devastating lariat that turned her inside out. At that point, it was easy as pie for her to score another elimination. Rumchata Ayano: Christina Rose has been eliminated! (Bree Smith, 3rd elimination) Spencer saw the opportunity and took it, grabbing Bree's leg and pushing her over the top rope. Smith landed on the apron blocking a kick from the opponent and dragging her on out of the ring. Both competitors were now in a precarious position, engaging in a dramatic exchange. Every shot could be the fatal one and they were both well aware of this. A heavy right hand from Bree almost got the job done, but Kelsey grabbed the rope with her left hand and survived. Smith was going for the kill, but with a desperate move, Kelsey kicked her leg with all the strength she had left. The knee gave out, and Bree fell on the outside. Rumchata Ayano: Bree Smith has been eliminated! (Kelsey Spencer, 3rd elimination) For a moment, Kelsey looked at ringside, almost as she expected to be declared the winner. Then she realized that Liv was still in the match, despite not having actively took part in it for quite some time. After getting smashed against the turnbuckle by Bree, Liv rolled under the bottom rope and spent a few minutes resting, only now getting back into the ring, walking toward Spencer with a big smile on her FACE. Kel shook her head, then decided to try take the opponent off guard. She jumped, or at least tried to. Someone grabbed her leg, causing her to bounce against the ropes and crash on the apron, before eventually falling to the floor. Rumchata Ayano: Kelsey Spencer has been eliminated. Your winner and new number one contender for the Junior Heavyweight Championship, Liv Mercer! WINNER: Liv Mercer BY: Last person standing, 19:37 |
Jacob Figgins: "The former Riot champion is the last woman standing! Congratulations to the new number one contender for her hard fought victory?"
Zackary Dyson: "Hard fought, really? She spent most of the time on the apron..."
Jacob Figgins: "Maximum result with minimum effort. I call that being smart."
Zackary Dyson: "Right... Once again Kelsey got this close, but came out empty handed. This time thanks to Heath Williams interference."
Jacob Figgins: "I'm curious to see what her reaction will be."
Zackary Dyson: "Indeed. This is the same man who inflected her two humiliating losses in recent times..."

Riotās own interviewer Camari, flaunting her now blonde look, is standing backstage next to her first guest of the night, one half of Nightfall Rising, Donovan Keane.
Camari Hayre:
Good evening ladies and gentlemen. You surely already recognized the young man on my right, you saw him competing in this very ring earlier tonight when, with his tag team partner Jay Gallagher, obtained a prestigious win against the former Tag Team Champions Jetpack. Please welcome my guest at this time, representing Nightfall Rising, Donovan Keane.
Donnie flashes his smile at the camera, raising his hand and forming a āVā with his fingers.
Donovan Keane:
Thanks for having me here Camari.
Camari Hayre:
On the last Millennium show on wednesday, you announced that you and Jay signed a contract with MWE. Tonight you made a debut with a huge win against Penny and Jet. Talk about making an impact!
DK chuckles lightly.
Donovan Keane:
Well, thatās just what we do, you know? We show up and change the game. Like, it happened in Portland where we took the tag division by storm, itās happening here in MWE too. The former champs already fell, but Iām telling you, they were only the first step for. A small one, but enough to put everyone on notice.
With a slight nod, Camari drops the second question.
Camari Hayre:
In all honesty, thereās someā¦ controversy surrounding your winā¦
Donovan Keane:
Controversy?
He interrupts her.
Donovan Keane:
What are you talking about?
The answer to his question didnāt come from the interviewer. It was someone else who provided it. A loud clearing of a throat before the lady herself stepped right up into Donovanās personal space, peering at him.
Penelope Kaplan:
So this is what it looks like.
She pauses, looking over at Camari with a sort of curious expression and then peering owlishly back at Donovan.
Penelope Kaplan:
Youāre a cheater, you and your partner and you know what? I should tattle on you, but Iām grown, much like youāreā¦ just not.
Donovan raises an eyebrow, looking at Penny quizzically. He then shrugs and turns his attention back to Camari.
Donovan Keane:
Someoneās mad I beat herā¦ Donāt mind her, just drop the next question, the fans want to hear what one half of the best tag team in MWE has to say.
Penny shakes her head, and brushes a bit of imaginary lint off of Donovan.
Penelope Kaplan:
They just did hear what I have to say, thanks Donovan for admitting what we all already know! But to be clear? Iām not mad you beat our team, Iām mad you couldnāt do it without cheating, butā¦ thatās ok. Because now we know, and next time wonāt be so easy for you to pull your tricks.
A pause, and a very naughty smile came to her lips.
Penelope Kaplan:
Donovan Keane youāre a lot of things but youāre no Julian Savell. Ta ta!
She flounces away after grinning at Camari, sure that Donovanās going to keep talking but clearly on her way for some cake. Donnie, even more confused than before, leans in and whispers in Camari's ear.
Donovan Keane:
Was that a compliment orā¦
Then he realizes that Penny is leaving the scene, already halfway down the hallway.
Donovan Keane:
Hey, princess! The fuck are you going?
He calls her out, causing the former champion to stop on her tracks.
Donovan Keane:
You come here uninvited, ruin my interview, accuse me of cheating, say we can't beat you clean and then just leave?
Penny pauses, looking back over her shoulder with a pretty smile on her face before she nods, then a thoughtful look comes over her features.
Penelope Kaplan:
Itās not an accusation if itās true, but you really, really forgot the most important thing.
She pauses again for dramatic effect, then giggles.
Penelope Kaplan:
Thereās amazing cherry chocolate mirror glaze cake in catering tonight and itās supposed to be all gone, but they put aside a slice for me, so whoās the real winner here tonight?
Donovan Keane:
What theā¦ Who cares about cake?
He blurts out.
Donovan Keane:
I thought we left all the whackos in Portland, glad to see you have your fair share here too!
Leaving Camari alone, he walks in front of Penny.
Donovan Keane:
You know what? Since you look so sure, wanna dance one more time? How about next Wednesday? Just me and you, no Jay, no Jet. What do you think?
Penny squinches her eyes at him a little, as if sheās seeing if heās serious and then nods her head firmly.
Penelope Kaplan:
I think youāve got yourself a match, Mister Keane! See you Wednesday!
Penny claps her hands together sharply then and marches away, but not too far before sheās actually skipping with delight - sheās got cake ahead of her of course! The camera follows her, but not before cutting back to see the expression on Donovanās face before it cuts elsewhere.
Junior Heavyweight Championship Match
Singles Match
Adam Webb VS SakiSingles Match
Two weeks ago in their first match, Saki and Adam entertained the fans with an high paced contest, ended without a clear winner when the Kawaii Deathmachine hit the champion with a steel chair. With the title on the line tonight, it was unlikely to see that scene repeating, but then again, you can never be too sure when it comes to Saki. The bell rang and she immediately tried to pin Adam after a single leg dropkick, only obtaining a count of one. She gave him no break, picking him up and hitting him with 4 rapid fire chops to the chest, and a fifth one after licking the palm of her hand. A flurry of kicks followed, all leading up to a swinging neckbreaker for another two count. Adam took a break to leave the ring and consult with his girlfriend and manager Wren Sweet. Saki wasn't giving him the advantage and threw herself between the ropes with a suicide dive. Instinctively Wren pushed Adam out of the way and took the full blow. The unharmed Webb immediately checked on her and after she reassured him about her condition, he turn his attention to Saki, throwing her against the ring post. He exploited the whole 10 count to inflict her the maximum damage, showing a new, more ruthless side, probably triggered by Wren getting hurt. Adam took this new attitude into the ring as well, his attacks now way more aggressive and less fancy. Hard kicks to the chest and back of the opponent, even when the Kawaii Deathmachine was down on her knees. Finally, after countless shots, the former Empire Extreme Champion dropped on her back, and Adam made the cover after a Running Shooting Star Press. Saki's pain tolerance was well known, and nobody was surprised to see her kick out and go back on the attack, despite the punishment she took testified by those bruises Adam's kicks left on her back and chest. A minute later, she was the one obtaining a near fall with a double foot Stomp after a chestblower. While Adam was still coughing and catching his breath, she planted him on his head with a reverse Rana, getting this close to winning the title. Turning the tables with a spectacular Kip Up Hurricanrana out of nowhere, Adam had now Saki in the corner, perfect position for his jumping knee/bulldog combination. Wasting no time, he picked up his opponent and lifted her for a suplex, and a second one, then a third completing the Three Amigos. He then left the ring and went for the Wicked Webb (springboard shooting star press), but Saki moved out of the way. With a miracle, Adam landed on his feet, seeing Saki approaching behind his back out of the corner of his eye and clocked her out with a Pele Kick. Close, but no cigar. Adam's confidence grew as he saw the opponent being in huge difficulty now. Maybe too much, since Saki surprised him with a kick to the stomach followed by a piledriver. The two competitors were once again trading blows in the middle of the ring. On the verge of losing the exchange, Adam went for the eyes. Saki stumbled backwards against the ropes, while the referee was giving the lecture to Adam. Wren climbed on the apron and punched the former Empire Extreme Champion on the back of her head, hurting her hand in the process. The boos were deafening while Adam connected his Webbscution. The referee, unaware of what just happened, made the three count. WINNER: Adam Webb (STILL CHAMPION) BY: Pinfall (Webbscution), 11:29 |
Jacob Figgins: "The champ retained!"
Zackary Dyson: "With a little help from his girlfriend..."
Jacob Figgins: "And your point is?"
Zackary Dyson: "I don't know, I guess I just wasn't expecting this change of attitude in Adam."
Jacob Figgins: "When you get to the top, you do all you can to stay there. This is how this world goes, kid."

Singles Match
Spider VS Devin HearstIn the main event of the night, Spider finally had her chance at retribution against Devin Hearst, who costed her the match against Eliza Valentine two weeks ago. As soon as the bell rand, she launched herself against the opponent with a dropkick, sending him in the corner after the impact. She reached him there with a running Yakuza Kick, climbing on the middle rope and starting to hit him with a series of right hands. The crowd counted out loud, one, two, all the way up to eight. That's when Hearst got rid of Spider in the most painful way for the former Coastal Champion, dropping her down with a powerbomb. Hearst was out here tonight to make a statement against Robyn, and he choose a direct, hard hitting style to do it. Straight punches mostly, some of them catching the refereeās attention as they were coursed with a closed fist. And kicks as well, plenty of them. Nothing fancy, just straight stiff kicks to the spine after taking Spider down with a snapmare. After four of them, he took a short run at the ropes and kicked Jones down with a shining wizard, making the cover for the first near fall. A few minutes passed, and Spider finally started building some offense, taking Hearst down with a Russian Legsweep and quickly followed with a basement dropkick to the head as he was pulling himself up. Looking at her, the fans could finally see the old Spider, the one carrying two titles at the same time in Empire and Pride Pro, the one capable to drag entire crowds without saying a word, counting only on her charisma and that fire she brought to the ring, and that tonight was once again burning bright. Hearts tried to break her offense with a big right hook, but Spider ducked it and kicked him hard on the exposed side, aiming the floating ribs area. As soon as Hearst bent to clutch the injured area, she wrapped her arms around his head and drove him down with a neckbreaker. She attempted a cover, but Devin kicked out in two. Once again Robyn got real close to the win with a jumping DDT, but Hearst raised his shoulders in time. In what was a back and forth match, Hearst regained control with his The Comedown (Samoan Driver) after catching Jones in mid air when she attempted a crossbody. A particularly vicious striking combination , ended with a roaring elbow, rocked Robyn Jones, leaving her stunned and staggering in the middle of the ring. Wasting no time, Devin put her in a front facelock and lifted her in a suplex position, dropping her face first on the mat. With the opponent down, Hearst applied a second front facelock, this time driving his knee on her head three times before dragging her back to her feet, her arms locked in a butterfly position. Then he lifted her, easily, and dropped her down onto his knee, making another cover sure that this will do it. Once again, Robyn kicked out. Jones fought back, blocking a suplex attempt and hitting Dev with an European Uppercut. More strikes landed on The Florida Shuffle head and face, including a devastating Roundhouse kick that knocked him down. This was as close to win the match as Spider possibly could and would get tonight. She was ready for her Spiderbite when āGood Girlsā by Elle King blared out of the loudspeakers and Eliza Valentine appeared on the stage, the Riot championship hanging from her shoulder. She caught the attention of both the competitors who, for different reasons, had unfinished business with EJV. The first one to regain the focus was Devin Hearst, who kicked Meg in the stomach and planted her with the Evenflow DDT. After the count was made and the former DOW was declared the winner, Devin stood up and turned to Elzia, who simply raised her title in the air. WINNER: Devin Hearst BY: Pinfall (Evenflow DDT), 15:27 |
Zackary Dyson:
What a match! Robyn Jones gave everything she had, but a slight distraction in the end costed her everything.
Jacob Figgins:
True, but did you see her in that ring? I'm telling you, Zacky boy. I saw the good old Spider out there tonight, the one who won two titles in Empire and Pride Pro.
Zackary Dyson:
She surely looked different from the competitor we saw in Millennium. More focused, more determined. And able to get toe to toe with the best Riot has to offer.
Jacob Figgins:
Exactly. I would love to stay here with you Zack, but our time for tonight is up. Riot will come back Saturday 19 from...
Zackary Dyson:
University Park, Pennsylvania. See you there guys!
