Charlotte Webster VS Kory KrampCharlie’s own protest against Canada continued even tonight, with the New York City born refusing to speak. And if she didn’t like the country MWE has been touring, it was safe to say that the Canadian fans reciprocated the feeling, welcoming her with a huge round of boos. The Human Fly instead, despite going through a rough path in recent times was still a fan favorite, as the cheers following each and every attack he delivered would testify. When he pinned the opponent two minutes into the match with a diving crossbody, the fans counted out loud with the referee, not hiding their disappointment when Webster kicked out. And when she started building some momentum with a series of three hip toss, hitting him with an elbow drop after the third. Kory kicked out in one from her pinfall attempt. She picked up the Human Fly and sent him against the ropes, missing the clothesline as he rebounded back and ending up on her back after he hit a springboard hurricanrana. Kory’s speed can be a problem for everyone, especially for someone as inexperienced as Charlotte. He was always one step forward, dodging her countering her every move. And even when she rolled outside the ring, Kory gave her no break, diving through the ropes and planting her with a DDT. He quickly rolled her back in the ring and climbed to the top rope, ready to jump with his Human Fly (Senton Splash). Charlie moved out of the way, pulling herself up and going for a quick cover after Kramp crashed on the mat. As soon as he kicked out, she got back to her feet and started stomping the hell out of him. She then pick him up and puts her head under his arm, lifts him and flips him backwards, pinning him with a bridged version of a northern lights suplex, still not enough to keep Kramp down. Charlie tried to keep control, keeping the high flier grounded with some simple submission holds. Kory managed to escape and went back on the attack, stopped by a kick to the stomach and an irish whip into the corner, followed by a running ass attack.Charlie then dragged him back in the middle of the ring and locked him in in her Web Of Words (Stretch Plum). Kory tried to resist, but he had to eventually concede. WINNER: Charlotte Webster BY: Submission (Web Of Words), 6:36 |

Tiny Des VS Zafar KhanZafar Khan looked concerned as he walked down the ramp. The recent attacks he’s been victim of made him extra cautious, especially with Constantine and his giant sized bodyguard announcing their presence in the Arena tonight. But nothing happened, and he made it to the ring unharmed. As the bell rang, he locked up with Des for a brief moment, before the Kansas born switched to a side headlock, Zafar pushed her against the ropes, leapfrogging over her head as she rebounded and catching her with a dropsault. He ran at the ropes, bouncing back with a springboard moonsault missing the target as Destiny moved out of the way, quickly following with a kick to the ribs. Des picked him up and connected a couple of stiff chops, kicking him in the stomach and taking hold of his arm, moving to a back to back position hooking his arm around his throat before dropping to the mat with an armtrap neckbreaker. She made the cover after a standing moonsault knee drop, but Khan kicked out in two. The pace of the contest remained quick, as expectable from this two competitors. Tiny Des was looking great, planting Zafar with a springboard reverse ddt. Khan barely survived, raising his shoulder right before the three. Tiny Des picked him up and threw him in the corner, charging in with a back elbow. Khan quickly escaped through the ropes. Des crashed back first in the corner, getting hit by Zafar who was standing on the apron with a kick to the back of the head. Stunned, she stumbled forward, unable to defend herself from the springboard forearm smash he dropped her on the mat with. Once again he went for a springboard moonsault, and this time it connected. The referee dropped in position and started the count, interrupted at two by Tiny Des kicking out. Zafar picked her up, starting to hit her with swift kicks and hard forearm smash, ending the sequence with a spinning back elbow. Only the ropes prevented Tiny Des from falling on the mat. Zafar grabbed her arm and whipped her on the opposite side of the ring, running in her direction and catching her with the Tiger Style (Spanish Fly) when she rebounded back in the middle of the ring. This time, keeping her down for three seconds. WINNER: Zafar Khan BY: Pinfall (Tiger Style), 6:56 |
The scene cuts backstage to Corey Grimes standing in front of the locker room of Adam Webb. He’s already in his ring gear, and he has the Junior Heavyweight Championship on his shoulder. He raises a hand and knocks on the door. A few moments pass and Adam opens the door up to find Corey there waiting for him.
Corey Grimes:
What’s up bro? Just wanted to stop by and talking strategy and all of that fun stuff before our big match later.
Webb, already dressed in his gear, gives the champion a once over and smiles.
Adam Webb:
Nice belt, never did get a chance to look at it up close. But yeah, li have time to talk before our match, it’ll be good to get us on the same page since last week we were focusing on beating each other and now we gotta show we can work together.
Corey nods in agreement.
Corey Grimes:
Exactly. But I think you and I will have a lot of easier of a time teaming up compared to Nikki and Brendan. That seems like a car wreck waiting to happen.
Corey lets out a laugh and shakes his head as Adam lets out a chuckle.
Adam Webb:
Yeah, I’m not too sure how on the same page they can actually get but with us at least we both just want to win and have a history of doing so.
He pats the Junior Heavyweight Championship that’s on Corey’s shoulder.
Adam Webb:
I might not have one of these beauties here yet like you do but I’m no stranger to winning championships. Granted this might be our first time teaming, but I think we both know what the other brings to the table.
Nods in agreement.
Corey Grimes:
That we do.
Corey looks down at his championship and smiles before looking back up at Adam.
Corey Grimes:
And I’m sure you’ll get another one of these soon…
He adjusts the championship on his shoulder.
Corey Grimes:
Just not this one.
Webb lets out a chuckle and nods his head before getting serious and looking Corey right in the eyes.
Adam Webb:
I guess we'll see about that down the line won’t we?
He suddenly smiles and is playful again.
Adam Webb:
But that’s for another time man, we can talk about who pinned who and all that back and forth all night. But we should really be focused on working together and beating Nikki and Brenden. I mean, that’s where my mind is, how about yours?
Corey nods.
Corey Grimes:
It is. I know that Nikki is going to have a hard time with Brendan as her partner because he’s a slacker and he’s lazy. He also doesn’t work well with others but the fact is, they both can wrestle when they’re focused. Thing is? I don’t think they will be. But you and I? We come focused, night in and night out. That’s how I know we got this.
Adam shrugs and lets a smile come to his face again.
Adam Webb:
I mean that’s the short and simple truth right there. If you and I just keep focused and do what we can do? We got this thing.
Corey nods confidently.
Corey Grimes:
Sounds like we’re already on the same page, huh? I think we’re good then.
Adam extends his hand to Corey who shakes it.
Adam Webb:
I’ll see you out there, partner.

Tag Team Match
Adam Webb & Corey Grimes VS Brendan Callaghan & Nikki Knight
Opponents one week ago, Corey and Adam found themselves on the same side tonight, taking on the pair of Brendan Callaghan, accompanied as always by his girlfriend Jade Night, and his partner, the canadian Nikki Knight. The Junior Heavyweight Champion started the match for his team, quickly trying to catch a distracted Brendan off guard with a roll up right off the gate, almost taking home a shockingly quick win. The Boston born kicked out, quickly turning around and swinging a right hand, ducked by Corey who grabbed his arm and wrapped his legs around the other, flipping and taking him to the mat with a crucifix driver. Brendan rolled back and made the tag to NIkki, who entered the ring charging at Grimes, who ducked clothesline and hit her with a Pele Kick, following with a shooting star press and making the cover, obtaining another near fall. Corey was on fire tonight, out here to impress after last week’s loss. And the fans showed their appreciation with a huge round of applause. Things didn’t change when the tag was made. Adam jumped in the ring willing to one up the Junior Heavyweight Champion, unleashing a series of rapid fire kicks and taking Nikki down with The Punch Line (Roaring Elbow), quickly following with a running shooting star press for a two count. Nikki desperately needed to make the tag, but she didn’t seem able to find a break from Webb’s constant high octane offense. It was Jade Night who provided the distraction that allowed her to hit Adam with a low blow and quickly reaching the corner. Brendan jumped into the ring and charged at the opposite corner, taking Corey down with a dropkick before Adam could make the tag. He then kicked the opponent who was still on all fours after being hit in the lower parts by Nikki, planting him on his head with a low angle DDT, hooking the legs for a cover broken up by the returning Corey. The match went on with Brendan allowing Nikki to get back into the match. The canadian kept the pressure on Adam, sending him in the corner where she drove her shoulder in his stomach multiple times, before kicking him to the side of the head with an enziguri. Adam was down and Knight charged at the corner, launching herself against him with a cannonball crush. Adam fought hard, breaking free with some elbow shots from the waistlock Knight applied hoping for a german suplex and rocking her with a series of hard right hands, doubling her over with a reverse side kick and jumping on her back, pinning her with a sunset flip powerbomb for a count of two. Finally he reached his corner and tagged Corey, who entered the ring all guns ablazing. An running elbow to knock down Brendan, a hurricanrana driver to plant Nikki on the canvas. Nikki barely kicked out of the pinning predicament, but she was never able to turn things around again, eventually falling victim of the Sac-Town Explosion that gave Corey and Adam the win, despite Brendan trying to break the pinning predicament and running right into a superkick from Adam. WINNER: Corey Grimes & Adam Webb BY: Pinfall (Sac-Town Explosion), 11:20 |

Devin Hearst VS Lena SkyeLena Skye tried to impose her physicality from the get going, reversing an irish whip attempt and sending Devin in the corner, following up with a big splash. Grabbing his head in a three quarter facelock, she flipped him over in a seated position and hit him with a dropkick to the back, making the first pinfall attempt that saw Hearst kicking out in one. She picked him back up and, putting his head under her arm for a suplex attempt, countered by the former CWC International Champion who blocked her leg and started punching her in the ribs, eventually breaking free. He hit her with an european uppercut, then a second one that sent her back a few steps. He kicked her in the mid section and sent her against the ropes. The Colossal ducked the clothesline and rebounded back from the opposite side, knocking him down with a big boot, wrapping her arms around his waist and deadlifting him for a bridged german suplex that earned her another near fall. Three minutes, that’s how long Lena’s momentum lasted, before the more experienced opponent was able to turn things in his favor. Having been in this industry for so long, it didn’t take him too long to identify in the opponent’s knees her weak spot. She started kicking her leg hard, chopping down the big tree so to speak until Lena dropped on her knees. Then it was a running Yakuza Kick that knocked her down. Instead of going for the pinfall win though, Devin applied a figure four leglock right in the centre of the ring. Outside his number one fan Andrew Wilkow kept cheering on him, yelling at Skye to tap out. But Lena had no intentions of giving up, and she dragged herself to the ropes, breaking up the submission. Knowing he had her right where he wanted, Devin immediately released the hold and started stomping her knee, grabbing her foot and kicking her on the back of the thigh, torquing her foot and twisting her knee as well. His work was methodical, his goal was already clear to those who followed his career. When he thought he weakened her enough, he dragged her away from the ropes and applied his old finisher, a stretch muffler known as The Endless Summer. Lena tapped out almost immediately. WINNER: Devin Hearst BY: Submission (The Endless Summer), 6:57 |
Singles Match
Liv Mercer VS Cass BaumerA one on one match against the Riot Champion. Talk about a huge opportunity for Cass Baumer, who has been making waves since coming to the orange brand, becoming one of the most vocal and active member of Riot’s offense against Millennium. Coming off the big win in the main event of episode XXXV, the Headliner started off strong tonight, taking the initiative and forcing the champion against the ropes after engaging in a test of strength. The referee tried to break them up, Cass granted a clean break stepping away, keeping her eyes on the opponent almost expecting a cheap shot from her. Which obviously happened, in the form of a kick to the stomach. Cass was ready and caught the champ’s foot, taking her on the mat with a dragon screw. After hitting her with a few knee drops, Cass picked her up and sent her against the ropes, going for a dropkick and finding nothing but the air, as Liv hung on the ropes and stopped her momentum. As she was getting up, Liv charged at her and connected with her knee to the side of the head, knocking the former journalist down and hooking her leg. It was a very even and intense contest between the two women. After a first part dominated by the champion who scored another near fall after her straight jacket neckbreaker slam, Cass found an opening when one of her right hooks stunned Liv. She quickly capitalized on this by sliding behind her back and lifting her in a half nelson position and dropping her down with the Rumor Mill. Baumer made the cover, but Mercer still kicked out. Taking a few steps back the Kiwi charged in to put the champion away with her high impact soccer kick called The Bleeding Edge. Liv dodged it, sliding her arm between Cass legs as she rolled her over for a schoolboy pin, grabbing a hold of her trunks to keep her down, unsuccessfully so. Once again the two competitors started trading blows, this time Cass won the exchange and hit the champ with a knee to the stomach, driving her face on her knee with a codebreaker. Once again she was ready to go for her Bleeding Edge but right when she seemed ready to hit, her eyes caught Deacon Lewis stepping over the barricade. And he was not alone. Constantine walked on the entrance stage, welcomed by the loud boos of the fans. Both men started walking to the ring, becoming Baumer’s main interest. A fatal mistake that allowed Liv to connect her Stay Grounded (Inverted Stomp Facebreaker) and picking up the win. Constantine laughe at Baumer and called his bodyguard. And just like they appeared, the pair left the tingside area. WINNER: Liv Mercer BY: Pinfall (Stay Grounded), 12:41 |
We cut backstage to Aella Foley, bag in hand heading from the parking lot to the Arena. Suddenly there’s a loud crashing sound, drawing her attention to the usually open bay doors, which have now been slammed shut. Almost immediately the lights in the garage area cut too, leaving only some low emergency strip lights to guide her way.
Assuming it’s a power cut or a short from a fuse, Aella rolls her eyes and keeps walking toward the entrance when she’s suddenly slammed from behind, the full force of a cart, loaded with several production boxes crashes into her, as Aella hits the cement flooring, one of the boxes topples and she has to roll to narrowly escape it landing on her head.
Foley makes to sit up, cradling the back of her head from the fall and looking confused when out of seemingly nowhere another box flies towards her, shoved off the cart itself. Aella isn’t as lucky this time and the box slams into her ribs, throwing her back to the floor once again. The first thing she sees in a pair of black boots, the left one kicking the box away and essentially freeing her.
Before Aella can move a familiar item presses down against her throat, pinned to the floor by her own shillelagh, Aella opens her mouth as though to smart off at the person holding it, a flick of blonde hair is preceded by the weapon slamming down across the stomach of Aella.
Tobie Nox Thorne shakes her head, pressing her finger to her lips as though telling Aella to shut up she then straddles her, still standing but a foot either side of Foley she holds the end of the shillelagh to the forehead of Aella and leans against the end closest to her, applying pressure.
Tobie Nox Thorne:
What was it that you said about not showing mercy?”
Tobie grins and before Aella can reply she steps back and kicks Aella over onto her stomach, bringing the shillelagh down with such force across the back of Foley’s shoulders and near her neck area, that it shatters in two and Aella appears out from the blow. Tobie scoops down only to pick up the pieces of her borrowed weapon. One final dig of her boot into the side of Aella as a parting gift then sees Tobie march back towards the arena, moving with an obvious purpose.

Tag Team Match
Jetpack VS Spectre & Trey Cole
Huge chance for Trey and Spectre against the MWE champion. For Penny and Jet this was an interesting challenge as well against one of the new tag teams on the block, two weeks before they are set to defend their titles against the BreeTee Committee and the Happy Few. Jet started things off for his team taking on Trey Cole in a quick paced contest where both competitors showed off their evasion skills, dodging and ducking every strike the opponent attempted, until they both went for a standing dropkick at the same time. The fans applauded the initial exchange as Trey and Jet met once again in the middle of the ring, this time locking up in a collar and elbow tie. Jet slid behind the opponent’s back and lifted him for a waistlock takedown, sliding right into a side headlock. Cole made it back to his feet and pushed him against the rop, jumping over him with a leapfrog and dropping on his back right after. Blanchard dove over him with a somersault, quickly popping up to his feet and knocking him down with a dropkick. Trey crawled back in his corner and tagged Spectre back in. Jet did the same allowing Penny to step inside the ring. At first, Spectre speed created some problems to the champ, who soon found herself stuck in the corner with with the Die Fly kicking her chest. With a flair for dramatics, Spectre moved out of the corner with a back handspring and charged in with a knee to the face. He then sat Penny on the top turnbuckle and drove her all the way down with The Fly-By (Lo Mein Pein), picking up a two count. The class and experience of the champion allowed her to take back control a couple of minutes later, lighting up his chest with a series of back hand chops. She then grabbed his arm in a wrist lock and run up the ropes, jumping down and using the momentum to send im in her corner with a springboard arm drag. If there was one place Spectre wanted to avoid, that would be it. Jet and Penny took turns to chop and kick Spectre, wearing the Die Fly down. One more tag and this time Jet lifted him in an argentine rack position, setting him up for the May We All completed by Penny’s neckbreaker. Trey made the save for his team. Desperate times call for desperate measures and Jack Archer took a bullet for his client, blatantly blocking Spectre’s leg and, for that, getting sent off by the referee. While the official communicated his decision to the manager, Trey stepped in the ring and stomped Penny’s head, setting Spectre free from the Kapslock she locked him in. Trey dragged his partner closer to the ropes and only then he called the referee attention, Tagging himself in. Cole knocked Penny down with a clothesline to the back, preventing the tag. He picked her up dodging a right hand from the champ and feigning a right kick, hitting her with the left one on her knee instead and finishing with a single leg dropkick to the head. Another kick out from Kaplan who finally got herself the opening she needed to when Trey missed the moonsault. She wasted no time and went for the tag, and just like that Blanchard was all over the opponent. A shining wizard, a seated jawbreaker, a tornado ddt… None of them was enough to keep Cole down for more than a two count. The Oh Good Lord instead (Springboard Lariat) did the trick, granting Jetpack another successful title defense WINNER: Jetpack BY: Pinfall (Oh Good Lord), 10:53 |
Backstage, Dean Smith walks into the arena. The loss to Cole last week clearly has affected him due to his mostly Twitter silence, as it was his fastest Invictus loss to date. He does his best to avoid people in a few little cuts until getting back to his locker room where he dumps his bag, removes his jacket off and lays down holding his face.
A few moments go by before a fellow friend of Dean's comes into the locker room, though he looks like he's happy to find the right room as he comes in. His backstage pass on with his own name tag reading Donnie Grant.
Donnie Grant:
This is the real deal. They look so much smaller on TV.
Donnie says taking in the locker room with a few steps.
Donnie Grant:
You've got loads of room!
Dean finds his friend's starstruck behaviour a little annoying as he sits up.
Dean Smith:
Keep it down.
Dean says before sitting up and exhaling.
Dean Smith:
I'm kind of on the verge of being permanently out of ever competing for the Invictus Championship if I do lose again. Tonight.
Donnie Grant:
Sure, I get that. Nerves.
Dean gives his friend what looks like a scowl as he sits down.
Dean Smith:
No. Pressure Caught in a must win situation which means no mistakes like missing that punch in Nova Scotia..
Dean stands up looking around his locker room. His shoulders high and tense as he tries to take some deep breaths..
Donnie Grant:
Dean, take a step back and just chill.
Donnie gets Dean's attention as he turns around.
Donnie Grant:
You've won against him before and you know he's good at them holds. But he's got a weakness.
Donnie Grant:
And you're going to find it, walk out the winner and then me and you will see what kind of talent Saskatchewan has eh?
He gives Dean a nudge
Donnie Grant:
Hey, one weakness Cole Gregory has now is overconfidence. Brooklyn 99. Hosszú görcs.
Dean is impressed by a near excellent Hungarian pronunciation.
Dean Smith:
Hmm?
Donnie Grant:
Letting Cole get cocky by winning points early to let him make a mistake tonight and you knock him out. Kind of important you do that so when you tell it tonight at the clubs it'll be a great ending.
Dean Smith:
And I'll be halfway there to the Invictus Title.
Dean stresses the title's name, before looking over at his shoulder where the belt could lie. The scene slowly fades as Dean half listens to his friend go on about the after party before cutting back to the ring.

Cole Gregory VS Dean SmithInvictus Rules
This might be the last time these two met. A win from Cole tonight will mean no more shots at the Invictus title until Cole is the one holding it. And this might mean a damn long time. First Round Dean had always been a very driven and intense competitor but tonight, he had a different fire in him. A ruthless aggression we could say, knocking Gregory off his feet with a huge lariat as soon as the match started. He then dragged him back to his feet and shoved him in the corner, hitting him with a series of running european uppercut. The third attempt was countered by Cole with a low dropkick to the knee, taking Smith off his feet. This was all Gregory needed to set his plan in motion, the same plan that gave him the win last week. Dean’s right arm. His choice to start inflicting some damage and open his way to the submission win was a seated armbar, quickly transitioning to a cross armbreaker. The ropes were close, but they wouldn’t be of any help under the invictus rules. He needed to find a way to break the submission and do it quickly as the pain started to become unbearable. Or, you know, bite the bullet and hang on foo twenty more seconds. A risky move, sure, but probably the easiest solution. Soon, it was all over and the bell saved Dean. Judges Scores: Kirilenko:Gregory 10-9 Dyson:Gregory 10-9 Valeor: Gregory 10-9 Second Round Cole started the second round with a big smile on his face, aware of the damage he has done. He keeps targeting that arm, while Dean was trying his best to protect it, knowing that that just became Cole’s main target. Unable to reach it with the kicks, Gregory grabbed the arm and sent Smith in the corner, charging in. Dean countered with a kick to face, catching him for an exploder suplex against the corner. Suddenly the tides had turned and Dean was firmly in control. He didn’t try for any fancy move, keeping things basic with a series of stiff punches. Gregory seemed out, groggily near the corner. Right where Smith wanted him.. Perching on the top robe, Dean waited for the perfect opportunity to jump off with the Mean Dean, a coupe de grace for the Invictus Champion. WINNER: Dean Smith BY: LO (Mean Dean), 12_47 |
Tobie Nox Thorne marches her way past several backstage workers. Dressed in a pair of fitted black pants and a fitted black tee with the RIOT! logo on it, only the logo has been half scratched out and a giant red X has been drawn over it, her long blonde hair in a high pony on her head, as she reaches her destination she pushes open the door to Yulia’s office without so much as knocking.
The young blonde slams the door closed behind her, kicking the spare chair across the front of the door she then turns to regard Yulia from behind her desk with a smile. Tobie moves with purpose across the room and stops in front of Yulia’s desk, she then holds out her arm and drops the shattered pieces of the shillelagh one by one onto Yulia’s desk, not once does she break eye contact with her former boss.
Tobie Nox Thorne:
I did not care about your stupid, little war.
Tobie’s voice carries this is the most confident and self assured anyone has ever heard her. Still she doesn’t break eye contact, shaking her head no.
Tobie Nox Thorne:
Did not care when I worked for you, did not care when I left to join Millennium. I let people talk, say their peace… I kept out of things. But then… YOUR employee laid their hands upon him. You, may be too afraid to do something about it. But I am not.
Dropping her hands to the desk Tobie leans in to stare even deeper into Yulia’s eyes.
Tobie Nox Thorne:
I do hope Aella has understood this was her warning, I expect not to see her or any of your employees anywhere near Gian, ever again. Are we understanding each other, Yulia?
Yulia watched her actions and listened to her words without saying a word. Her eyes staring intensely right in Tobie’s, not at all intimidated. Only after the French girl finished to send her message, the Riot General Manager breaks the eye contact, letting out a short sigh.
Yulia Kirilenko:
I understand it. I understand why you did what you did, and I don’t blame you for that. I would have probably done the same, if I’m being honest.
She shakes her head.
Yulia Kirilenko:
What I don’t understand is why you’re blaming me for this. Do you really think I have anything to do with the attack? Do you think I wanted any of this?
Tobie scoffs and shakes her head.
Tobie Nox Thorne:
There are two types of evil, Yulia. Those who commit it and those who see evil being committed and do no stop it. You have been complacent, placid even. You have allowed your employees to hurt someone you yourself claim to care for.
Leaning in once again, Tobie’s eyes light up with a renewed anger.
Tobie Nox Thorne:
There was a time when you would have done the same, yes. But not now… Now you are no better than the woman you have failed to protect.
Snatching up one of the broken pieces of wood, Tobie turns on her heels and walks towards the door, slowly she starts to move the chair away so she can open it when she’s ready, glancing back and Yulia once more.
Tobie Nox Thorne:
I do not care about your war. I do not care for excuses why there were no repercussions for what they did… Aella has paid the price tonight. If this happens again, it will not be her throat my boot finds next time.
Instinctively, Yulia pops up to her feet. She’s not one to take threats lightly, confident that with her background and training, she can hold her ground against most people in MWE. But this time, she hesitates. A brief moment before assuming her usual combative expression. But surely Tobie noticed it.
Yulia Kirilenko:
You seem to forget that Gian is the one who wanted Aella and Cass on his show, Gian is the one who took no action when Constantine and Douglas started invading Riot. Hell, he even admitted it himself last week that his plan failed.
A small pause.
Yulia Kirilenko:
But make no mistakes… Just because I didn’t want this to happen, don’t think I won’t go all the way and do what needs to be done.
Turning hard on her heels, Tobie moves back over to stand in front of Yulia, so close their noses almost touch. Slowly, Tobie smiles but it’s neither warm nor welcoming.
Tobie Nox Thorne:
And you should make no mistake, that I will not hesitate to break, beat and bloody anyone who is stupid enough to so much as breathe in his direction in a way I do not like… You, say that you are willing to do what needs to be done.
Tobie shrugs, brushing Yulia off she turns again and flicks her ponytail in the face of her former boss, reaching the door and yanking it open.
Tobie Nox Thorne:
It would be smart of you not to force my hand in doing the same.
Yulia lets out a chuckle, shaking her head.
Yulia Kirilenko:
This fire… He told me you had it in you, but I couldn’t see it. It’s a shame it took you to see you loved one being beaten to a pulp to start showing it. And more than that, it’s a shame you’re now on the wrong side of the fence now.
Tobie’s smile spreads as she regard Yulia one last time.
Tobie Nox Thorne:
You have no idea what I am capable of… but I would not suggest you finding out either..
With that, Tobie steps through the door, turning the splintered piece of wood around in her hand as she marches off down the hall.

MWE Championship Match
Singles Match
Christopher Kane (c) VS Eliza ValentineSingles Match
For the first time in MWE history, the main title of the company was up for grab on a Riot show. Two weeks before the huge fatal 4 way set to main event The Great White North PPV, Chris Kane was set to defend the title against a former champion in Eliza Valentine. The reason why she was granted this opportunity? Her win in the Battle Royale at Dark Web. Kane walked to the ring visibly concerned and tense, not because he was intimidated by the big challenge he had in front of him. What was bothering him was his right elbow that had been bothering him a lot in recent times. Eliza waited for him with a smirk on her face, realizing how big of an opportunity to take back the title she previously held this was. Chris biggest mistake was to announce his problem on social media, putting a big target on his elbow. And Valenine immwdiately went after hit, twisting Chris arm behind his back in a hammerlock. Even such a basic hold was giving the champ an unimaginable pain. When all his attempts to wrestle his way out of it failed, Chris tried to get free using his free arm to hit break free. The elbow smash didn't faze Eliza too much, as she was still able to hit a hammerlock suplex. She kept the pressure on the elbow with an armbar, Christopher was quick to reach the ropes with his foot. Nobody expected Eliza to let him go immediately, especially with such high stakes. And in fact, she held the submission fully exploiting the five count. Chris was shaking his head and his arm, trying to get some feeling back in it. It wasn't an ideal situation for the champ, who didn't seem able to find his footing in this match, rolling under the bottom rope to catch a break from the challenger constant offense. Valentine wasn't intentioned to leave him any room to breathe, jumping on him with a plancha to the outside. Relentlessly, she picked up Chris and sent him shoulder first against the steel steps. The impact was tremendous, and Chris was in a world of pain. Eliza stomped his hand, grabbing his arm and pushing it against the steel post. The referee count reached seven, and an extremly confident Valentine rolled the champion back in the ring, taking her time to climb on the apron and step inside, walking slowly and inexorably toward Christopher. When she was within range, he surprised her with a quick roll up, almost stealing the win. Eliza kicked out and dragged Christopher back to his feet, hitting him with a knife edge chop. The champion answered with one of his own, a grimace of pain on his face coming from the injured arm. A forearm smash from the challenger and one from the champion, prelude to an all out brawl won, surprisingly considereng the bad shape of the right arm, by Chris, who surprised Eliza with a knee to the stomach, followed by a rising kick and a series of stiff stirkes to the ribs. He then dropped the challenger on his knees with a chestblower, getting another pinfall. Eliza was back in control after kicking Kane's shoulder after he irish whipped her against the ropes and was ready to go for a back body drop. Quickly she dropped him on the mat with a wristlock takedown, jumping for a legdrop on the arm and applying an armlock. Chris' scream of agony were audible despite the noise the fans were making to try help the MWE champion in this moment of difficulty. Kane tried to find a way out of the submission, finding the "easiest" option in pushing through the pain and rolling Eliza on her shoulders, forcing her to kick out from the pinning predicament and breaking the submission. Pretty much unable to use his right arm, Chris relied completely on his kicks now, one of which caught the former champion right on the temple. Dizzy, she stumpled toward Kane who lifted her over his shoulders and dropped her into a Pele Kick, making the cover after the Hit By A Cyclone. Not enough to keep someone like Eliza down. The champ was showing great heart, fighting through the injury and even getting inches away from reatining with the New York Rain (Diving knees). But in the end, his arm failed him when he tried to lift her for a suplex, allowing her to capitalize with an arm ddt. She had the champion laying down right in the middle of the ring, perfectly positioned for a submission. And she locked him in into a cross armbreaker, tightly. The fans held their breath while Chris tried his best not to tap. The referee got as close as he could to the action, looking to call for the ball as soon as Kane tapped. And it could've been at any moment. Suddenly the referee disappeared, pulled out of the ring by someone. Well, not anyone. It was Franky "The Beef " Harris who, far from done yet, entered the ring now and decked a pissed off Eliza Valentine with one right punch. WINNER: Eliza Valentine (STILL MWE CHAMPION: Christopher Kane) BY: DQ (outside interference), 15:29 |
What was Franky doing here? Why did he save CK? ANd why id he just put Eliza through a table? All these questions seem to find an answer when Ennio Morricone's "The ecstasy of gold" blares out of the loudspeakers. Of course Grace van Beek was behind this! The fans, who had been in a shocked silence since The Beef's attack, were now loud and clear, booing the MWE owner on top of their lungs.
Grace doesn't care.
She doesn't even wait for them to quiet down, raising the microphone to her lips and addressing Franky.
Grace van Beek:
Thank you, Mr Harris. You did an excellent job. You can now escort miss Valentine backstage, her presence is no longer required.
He obliges, carrying Eliza on his shoulder and leaving the ringside area.
Grace van Beek:
Congratulations for another successful title defense.
She says in asarcastic tone that only aggravates the hostility from the fans and Kane himself.
Grace van Beek:
Twice you had the chance to prove what you have been repeating for the past few months. Twice you had the opportunity to prove you are indeeed the best in this company.
Her crimson lips curl into a smirk.
Grace van Beek:
And twice you failed. Against your former girlfriend, and against Valentine. Twice you barely held onto that title, only because I allowed you. Why you ask?
He didn't but she was going to answer her own question anyway.
Grace van Beek:
Only because the alternative were way more than you. Twice you let everybody down with your poor performances. Twice you have been nothing but a name carved on the plate of a fine piece of Gold and leather. Will you ever stop? Whwn will you start being the real champion you claim to be...They say there is always next time. Is that true? Is the third time actually going to be the charm, for you?
I guess time will tell.
Christopher asked for a microphone, but Grace's authoritative voice stopped Rumchata who was handing the microphone to Kane.
Grace van Beek:
You do not have to talk, Kane. If I were you, which luckily I am not, I would save my breath. Your third title defense is up next.
Everyone was still processing her words when "Futatsu no Kyoosei" blasts out of the loudspeakers. Welcomed by Grace's smile, and a rain of boos, SERO walks out on the stage and made his way to the ring, stepping in and walking into the corner, opposite to Chris. A dozen of bodyguards from van Beek's private army walk out of the curtain. Half of them, including Ryen Riekert, stop next to Grace, her back turned to the ring ready to stop any potential interference from running in. The rest scatter around the ring, keeping their eyes on the crowd, ready to intervene in case of necessity. The referee hesitated before starting the match, looking at Yulia at ringside to confirm.
As much as she hates it, and by the look she's giving Grace she really does, the Riot GM had no chance but to tell the referee to procede.

MWE Championship Match

Christopher Kane (c) VS SEROSingles Match
It was pretty much an execution. Kane had a strong start, driven by adrenalin and pure rage. SERO let him exhaust this sudden outburst and immediately earned control The injured elbow and arm were too big of a target to pass on, and SERO wasn't one to turn on such a gift. He worked well, systematically tearing the arm apart with his stiff kicks and some simple submission moves. Until he decided to put an end to the match, stealing a page from his sister NEON and locking the champ in the Kowareta (Armbar). Tonight, April 27th in Saskatoon, Christopher Kane's title reign came to an end when he tapped out to SERO. WINNER: SERO (NEW MWE CHAMPION) BY: Submission (Komareta), 4:21 |
If it wasn't a Riot, it wasn't too far off. All kind of trash was thrown toward the ring were SERO was standing tall with the company's most coveted prize high in the air. Christopher Kane is almostt in tears, clutching on that damn elbow pushing away the paramedic who went to check on him. A few of the objects the fans are throwing land dangerously close to Grace van Beek, advising his bodyguard to escort the Diamond Princess backstage. The camera cuts once again to the new MWE Champion, before fading to black
