Riot in Washington
Live from Angel Of The Winds Arena in Everett, WA
Saturday ,February 23, 2019
If you are thinking that this show was going to start with wrestling, I’VE GOT SOME BAD NEWS! Remember Wade Barrett? What a legend. Is he in this parking lot Riot is filming? Probably not. Unless he’s fallen on some really dire times.
A dune buggy with baseball bats welded and taped all over it speeds into the parking lot. It almost crashes into about ten different cars as it erratically zips and zags through the lot. Can this guy not drive in a straight line? Or at a speed that isn’t breaking the sound barrier?
No.
Oh...
Who are you?
Get back to the description, slave.
Right. The dune buggy comes to a sudden, jerking halt. A passenger leaps out of the vehicle and if you were expecting anyone but Skull Kid 2 you’re sorely disappointed. Because that’s who it is.
He heads for the backstage when he’s stopped by Skull Kid 1 grunting loudly after him. SK2 turns around just in time to avoid a baseball bat to the face, catching it. The Skull Kids look at one another from across the distance between them like something out of a cheesy romcom starring two actors desperately clinging to relevance before the cold, hard reality of old age guides them into death’s embrace.
Skull Kid 1 gives Skull Kid 2 the thumbs up and then drives off. It’s with Skull Kid 2 propping the baseball bat against his shoulder that he resumed his travels. This painfully dull segment is over. Enjoy your wrestling, you little gumdrop.
Backstage the newcomer known only as Nova stands side by side with the Riot! Interviewer Camari Hayre, the fiery redhead doesn’t look pleased as she eyes the young upstart slowly.
Camari Hayre:
Welcome to the B show!
Camari rolls her eyes.
Camari Hayre:
I’m here with uhh… what’s your name again?
Nova rolls her eyes back at Camari and plucks the mic from the interviewers hand before stepping up to the camera.
Nova:
Tonight, I face off against one of the many, cookie cutter same shit, different day, dramatised social media wannabes that this industry has to offer. Marilyn Lee whatthefuckever has spent her time leading up to this match posting lovey pictures of her latest conquest while instigating things she cannot follow up on.
Nova pauses and shakes her head, licking her lips as she lets the pause hang in the air.
Nova:
When I first came into this industry, I was afraid to even speak on camera. I was made a laughing stock because of my stutter, I was pushed back and to the side, left in the shadows of people just like YOU Marilyn. And I allowed that to happen, imlet my shine be diminished by the company I kept, I refused to see my worth.
But that ended, just as your little spats end. Only mine didn’t end with me getting fucked. No, quite the opposite, my self deprecation ended when I decided that enough was enough. I thought that to be a hero in this business, I had to sit quietly by ad watch as people like you, stole the spotlight from true athletes, from real competitors and I was wrong.
Shaking her head, Nova begins to pace in a small circle, almost though she’s an animal that has been caged for too long.
Nova:
To be a true hero, to be what this industry needs, to be the CHAMPION that this company needs. I need to find my voice and use it. There is nothing and no one that will put me back in those shadows, Marilyn. I am here in the light and I intend to keep that spotlight focused where it should be, right here on me.
So you can go back to your little squabbles and your flavor of the week. You can waste other people’s time with your dramatic relationship dramas and company hopping. Because I, am here to stay. I am here to make a statement and I am here to win those whole damn thing.
She nods as she comes to stand still again, not even glancing at Camari who looks peeved at being ignored.
Nova:
While you have been living out your own episode of days of our lives, I have been in the gym. I have been training, I have been honing my skills and working my ass off, NOBODY here train as hard as I do. Nobody had made the sacrifices I have made. And continue to make, in the name of success and you, not any of you, will be the one to see me fail.
Riot deserves a winner they can be proud of, a face they can slap on shirts and not worry about the media circus that person will create a week from now when they’re on their back for yet another flash in the pan nobody. So you can call me competition, or you can ignore me like the scared little girl you have proven yourself to be.
Because when we step in that ring, all your bullshit won’t matter. It will be my time to show what I can do, the SuperNova is HERE on Riot! And I am not slowing down.
With that, she tosses the mic over her shoulder to Camari and stalks off camera, without so much as another word.

As if you were so lucky to only get one of these tonight. You wish. This is what you get for not going outside and playing. Skull Kid 2 is standing backstage looking as awkward as a kid on school picture day. The lack of the other gremlin running around backstage with him has made him unsure of what to do.
So you, dear audience, are gifted Skull Kid 2 staring blankly into the camera. For minutes. Yes, for minutes Skull Kid 2 stares dead eyed into the camera and breathes like the boy has a serious asthma issue. The best you get for entertainment in these minutes wasted is him adjusting the bat leaning against his shoulder. Don’t you feel privileged.
SK2: BASH...?
Skull Kid 2 looks around, as if expecting something. Someone. Like the other half of his catchphrase. Lowering his head with a case of the big sads, Skull Kid 2 walks away and this trainwreck is brought to a close.

Singles Match
Junior Heavyweight Tournament, Group A
Olivia Wythe VS Skull Kid #2Junior Heavyweight Tournament, Group A
The first match of group A saw two tag team specialists squaring off in singles action, as MWE’s own Olivia Wythe took on Skull Kid 2. The pair locked up in the center of the ring, Olivia with the power advantage pushed Skull Kid 2 a few steps back before grabbing his arm and twisted it, forcing the Goblin Child on the mat and pressing her knee on his face. He pushed the knee away and kipped up back to his feet, reversing the wristlock and running up the turnbuckle, jumping from the top rope and tossing her with a springboard armdrag. As soon as Wythe got up to her feet, he charged at her and wrapped his legs around her waist. Whatever his intention was, it didn’t play out the way he planned, as he got dropped on his back by a wheelbarrow suplex. Despite Olivia’s attempt to slow it down, the pace of the match remained fast with the Skull Kid able to escape the crossface. Wythe charged in for a clothesline, ducked by the Gremlin who ran at the ropes and bounced back with a handspring enziguri that knocked down the former powerlifter. Skull Kid 2 tried to capitalize with a running shooting star press, hooking the leg for a pinfall attempt, from which Olivia powered out. The MWE rising star immediately takes back control with a huge lariat that almost took the Skull Kid’s head off, picking him up and shoving him in the corner with a powerful irish whip. She then charged at him, but the Skull Kid 2 blocked her with a sharp kick to the knee. The Goblin Child climbed then on the second rope and leaped off, nailing Wythe with a Canadian Destroyer. Olivia raised her shoulder in two stopping breaking the pinning predicament. Back and forth the action went, taking us close to the ten minutes mark. Olivia had the opponent grounded in a chinlock, her knee planted against his spine for extra pressure. Digging down deep, the Skull Kid 2 pulled himself up to is feet, driving his elbow to her mid-section to create some separation. Olivia frustrated his attempt with a knee to the sternum, trying to whip him against the ropes. Skull Kid 2 went for a reversal, kicking her leg and forcing her on her knee, following up with an axe kick to the back of the head. With Olivia down, he climbed to the top rope ready to hit her with his diving Meteora. As he jumped though, Wythe moved out of the trajectory, capitalizing on the opponent’s mistake with a Saito Suplex. Feeling the momentum changing, Olivia tossed the opponent in the corner and charged at him once again, this time jumping with a dropkick. She waited for him to start getting up and hit him with her Shining Wythezard, knocking him down once again. Instead of going for the cover, Olivia did something the MWE fans rarely saw her doing before, as she climbed to the top rope and jumped, driving the opponent’s face on her knees for the Wythebreaker (Diving Codebreaker). Olivia went to make a cover, confident to have finally won the fierce resistance of Skull Kid 2, but the referee noticed the gremlin's foot leaning against the bottom rope. Shaking her head, Wythe stood up, picking up where she left in her attempt to put down the opponent. Unfortunately, the bell rang, ending the match in a time limit draw. WINNER: Draw BY: Time Limit, 12:00 |

The man I face is called Yoji Kojima, he is a graduate of the New Japan Fighting Championship’s dojo and he is a former Dog of War. He’s held championships in multiple promotions and though he took a brief sabbatical from pro-wrestling, he’s now back and making a name even more for himself in Lucha Infinity. He’s known for his flamboyant masks and equally flamboyant persona.

His style, though amazing to watch, is akin to a predatory bird. Because though he flies with effortless grace and majesty to him, he’s most deadly when he’s like this. Like a bird swooping down on its potential prey.

A camera pan shows Joseph Giles walking onto the set, the child audience applauding his arrival as they recognize him.
ETHAN GILES:
Meeting a new friend is an exhilarating experience, the endless possibilities can have you so distracted that you forget to even really get to know them if you’re not careful. But that isn’t fair to them, they’re a human being just the same as anybody else. It isn’t like when you get a new toy that’s really neato, these are living, breathing human beings that have emotions and opinions like you and me, children. A friendship is a bond two people can forged, a promise to let one another into the other’s life and share some piece of yourself with them.

Ethan walks over to Joseph, resting a hand on his shoulder.
ETHAN GILES:
Much in the same way when meeting someone new you have to keep an open mind about them, children. They may look different, act different, talk different, or maybe even have different customs or beliefs than you, but that doesn’t make them not a friend or invalid of your friendship. Two friends can have a world of differences between them, whether it’s of opinions or of beliefs. Some of my best friends have been and are people radically different than myself.

Ethan nods and he gestures to his cousin, the large samoan.
ETHAN GILES:
Through keeping an open mind however I have been blessed to be exposed to so many different cultures, games, movies, music and many more things that I never knew about or would’ve necessarily sought out. It was through my friend knowing or liking these things that I discovered them when they shared them with me, as friends do. And I in turn have been able to expose friends to things they too were unfamiliar with. We’ve enriched each other’s lives.

Joseph hands Ethan a pineapple and Ethan hands Joseph a cup of tea.
ETHAN GILES:
Yoji Kojima is truthfully very different than me. He seems to me to be very eccentric, just as I’m positive I appear downright bizarre to him. However I believe that a bond of friendship can be forged between the two of us, we have more common ground than many start with between our masks and our love for professional wrestling. I hope to speak to Mr. Kojima’s heart through our match and share with him my emotions, and maybe he too will share with me. It will be a match you won’t want to miss, sunshines.

Singles Match
Jordan Ayers VS Tiny DesOne week ago at Deep In The Heart Jordan and Destiny worked together in the first part of the five way match, but just like every alliance born in elimination matches wasn’t destined to last long, and it ended with Jordan surprising the opponent with an inside cradle, eliminating Figgins’ sister. As soon as the two competitors locked horns in the middle of the ring, Tiny Des wrapped her arms around Jordan’s head, dragging him on the mat with a headlock takedown, punching him on the head. Ayers was able to slide away, getting back to his feet and hitting her with a dropkick. He followed with another dropkick in the corner, targeting Destiny’s right arm. And the same arm became the main focus of his attacks, as he twisted it behind her back with an hammerlock, lifting her in a suplex position and dropping her on the arm. Destiny eventually regained control catching Jordan right in the face with a calf kick. The pace suddenly picked up as Des was finally able to use her speed to her advantage, scoring a near fall after a springboard crossbody. She whipped Jordan against the corner, but the 21 years old reversed her attempt, preparing himself to swing a big right hand. Tiny Des never came back from the ropes, as she grabbed them luring Ayers into charging and lowering the ropes when he did, causing him to fall out of the ring. Jordan grabbed the top rope, preventing the fall and heaved up on the apron, trying to take Des’ head off with a clothesline. Figgins ducked it and hit the used the middle rope as a springboard to dropkick her opponent off the apron. As soon as Jordan made it up to his feet, Des leaped over the top rope and wiped him out with a somersault plancha. By the end of the match, Tiny Des was favoring the right arm Jordan had been working on the past minutes with knee drops and stomps, until the former BWF Champion stopped his offence with a spike hurricanrana to counter a powerbomb attempt. With the opponent down, Des went for her typical series of running sentons, hooking the leg for a cover after connecting the fifth. Jordan kicked out, just like he kicked out in two a couple of minutes later from the Destiny Drop (Springboard Reverse DDT). The match was clearly in her hands as she was taking the young rookie to school. But much like last week, Jordan caught her off guard with a cradle, getting the three count and the unexpected win. WINNER: Jordan Ayers BY: Pinfall (Cradle pin), 7:11 |
The camera opens up at ringside revealing that the ring is filled with balloons and pictures of the new Riot champion Liv Mercer from her big win at Deep in the Heart. The crowd is buzzing with anticipation as the lights in the arena are dimmed in preparation for Liv to make her grand entrance for the first time as Riot champion. Confetti begins to rain down from the rafters as “Money” by Cardi B hits the PA filling the arena with the pounding beat of the music.
It isn’t long before Liv Mercer is stepping out onto the stage with her Riot championship belt proudly wrapped around her waist. Liv stands at the top of the stage as she looks out at the crowd of people with a big smile on her face, taking the time to remove the belt from around her waist, and using both of her hands to hold it up high above her head. The smirk grows on Liv’s face before she does a moonwalk right across the stage with the belt still in her hands.
Liv laughs after executing her moonwalk before she places the Riot championship belt over her left shoulder and begins to make her way down along the ramp. More confetti and balloons raining down from the rafters as Liv reaches the ring where she makes her way up the steps, pausing for a moment to raise her Riot championship belt up high soaking in all of the reactions she is getting from the crowd. A very mixed reaction as Liv simply waves them off with her hand.
Liv steps up onto the apron and carefully makes her way through the ropes before stepping foot inside of the ring. Her Riot championship belt on full display back on her left shoulder as she parades through the ring, pulling off another moonwalk, before motioning to someone that she wants a microphone. Liv is quickly handed one as “Money” fades out and the lights come back on inside of the arena. Liv looks around at the crowd of people both jeering and whistling in her direction before she brings the microphone up to her lips.
Liv Mercer:
What did I tell you all before Deep in the Heart?! What did I say?!
Liv pauses for a moment almost as if she was waiting for an answer, raising up her Riot championship belt for extra emphasis, before placing it back on her shoulder with a laugh.
Liv Mercer:
I told every single one of you AND the entire roster that I was going to be the very first Riot champion in Millenium history! How could I possibly fail to make it happen when Riot is and will always be The Liv Show? The Riot championship was destined to be in my possession before the match was even made! I knew it, Oz knew it, and now you all know it for sure.
Liv uses her free hand to rub over the front of her Riot championship belt with a big smirk on her face. The confidence is clear to see as she is striding around the inside of the ring.
Liv Mercer:
This is the very first championship belt of my career and that means I need to make it memorable. I’ll set the standard for what it means to be the Riot champion and it all starts tonight with my match against Melissa Reeves. I know the kind of opponent that she’s going to be for me inside of this ring, her name alone is enough to get people’s attention, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to stop me from getting that victory to kick off The Liv Show in style. I do have more celebrating to do tonight and adding a nice big W over Melissa Reeves is going to be that extra cherry on top of an already delicious sundae!
Liv giggles as she makes a sweeping motion with her free hand before bringing it up to brush off the front plate of her Riot championship belt.
Liv Mercer:
I need to take a moment and thank my wonderful boyfriend Oz who has been going above and beyond to put everything in motion for my true celebration tonight after I finish putting down Melissa Reeves in the ring for the three count. All of this is pretty adorable, but I need much more to truly feel like I am being recognized as the Riot champion, and Oz knows exactly what his girl needs. And what I need right now? Is another victory on my record.
Liv takes her Riot championship belt and holds it up high one more time before dropping the microphone down onto the ring canvas near her feet. “Money” begins to play again as Liv parades around the ring with her championship belt to soak in the moment fully before she has to get ready for her match against Melissa Reeves to kick off the show.

Aella Foley VS SpectreJunior Heavyweight Tournament, Group A
It’s been a while since a Foley last stepped inside a MWE ring. Nora’s last match was back in September at Millennium XV, in a losing effort against the now owner of the company, Grace van Beek. Tonight, her sister Aella made her debut in Riot, in the first match of the Junior Heavyweight Tournament against Elysium’s own Spectre. The high flier started off strong with his unique style called as Die Fly. With a headscissors takedown he sent Aella in the corner, charging at her with a double knee to the corner. Foley fell down and Spectre quickly climbed to the top rope diving on her with a double foot stomp, trying the first pinfall attempt of the match, getting a count of two. Spectre didn’t slow, down, flipping Aella over with a snapmare and dropkicking her to the back of the head, following with a springboard moonsault countered by Foley who lifted her knees. The Godkiller immediately slowed the pace, keeping the master of the Die Fly grounded on the mat with a hammerlock, using her free arm to hit him with a series of elbow strikes to the head. The two competitors met once again in the center of the ring, trading forearms in a hard hitting contest where none of them was giving up an inch. Spectre tried to get the upper hand with an eye rake, Aella albeit temporarily blinded, kicked him on the knee and followed with an enziguri, hooking the leg for a two count. Aella went back to work, tossing the opponent in the corner, Up and over Spectre went, causing Foley to crash against the corner. Dropping on the floor, he grabbed her by the waist for a roll up into a kick to the head, trying another springboard moonsault, this time successfully connecting. It wasn’t enough to keep the tough Aella down. The Elysium was in control, hitting the King Of The Ashes with a quick striking combination, starting with a few punches to the ribs and following with left and right kicks to the legs, connecting with a double knee facebreaker to finish the sequence. Spectre sent the opponent against the ropes, going for a clothesline easily avoided by Aella who then ducked a second attempt, bouncing rebounding against the ropes for a third time and launching herself on the opponent with a devastating FAUGH A BALLAGH!, the spear that became a trademark of the Foley family. Finally turning the tides in her favor, Aella jumped on the opponent, unleashing all her frustration and aggression in the form of a flurry of stiff punches. Finally satisfied, she went for a cover, from which Spectre barely kicked out. Back to their feet, Aella kept hammering the opponent with some heavy strikes, waiting for the opening to lock him in her rolling knee bar, picking up the first two points in the tournament. WINNER: Aella Foley BY: Submission (Rolling Kneebar), 8:23 |
And here we are, you’ve guessed it, backstage! Backstage, where we find Levi the Baby K (not with those two extra K’s that some might believe apply to her name) - and she is leisurely looking at her phone, without a care in the world. It’s on her phone where The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack plays one of it’s more iconic episodes “Kid Nickels,” a favorite of hers.
She’s engrossed and sitting upon an equipment crate - noticeably without her best friend Olivia, noticeably enjoying the episode with a content smile on her face. She’s so fixated on the episode, Flapjack’s voice singing into her surroundings from her device, that she doesn’t notice Kymmy Oliver or how she catches the larger woman’s eye.
Kymmy sports an annoyed expression for a moment, watching the child look upon her cartoons - miles and miles away from their match mentally. Kymmy had wanted somewhat of a challenge and seeing Levi’s lack of concern is annoying and disappointing. A thought pops into Kymmy’s head. She smirks as she saunters up, Levi still not noticing until it’s too late.
Kymmy Oliver snatches the phone from Levi’s hands!
Levi’s head shoots up to look at Kymmy, naturally reaching for her phone. When Kymmy pulls the phone from her reach quickly, Levi seems confused - the thought of her opponent coming to antagonize her personally not crossing her mind as a possibility. It’s, well, never happened to her before.
Levi the Baby K:
Hey, uh, can I get that back? I need to watch that.
Kymmy pulls the phone away from Levi’s reach, taking steps back to force the baby to her feet as the smaller girl realizes that Kymmy doesn’t plan to just hand it over.
Kymmy Oliver:
If you want it so bad, how about you just come and get it then? Or are you too much of a string bean?
Kymmy holds the phone high above her head as Levi reaches and jumps in an attempt to get it. No luck and she doesn’t seem too concerned with what Kymmy is saying in between her demands for her phone and jumping. Yes, Levi seems to be in another world as panic rises in her eyes from not being able to get back her phone. Why did she have to be so short?!
Kymmy Oliver:
What’s wrong, Levi, can’t reach? Can’t watch your little cartoons? Look at you, you can’t even make a grab for it! If you can’t even take back what’s yours, how do you expect to be successful against me? Or against anyone for that matter. You’re going to lose again and again because you have the brain and capabilities of a child. While you’re watching cartoons, I’m putting in the time that I need to day in and day out to become better at what I do. While you’re eating rice pudding, I’m eating my opponents alive. Big Fax, no printer! Just face it, you weren’t cut out to face people like me, to participate in tournament. Why don’t you save yourself some time and just go home, because you weren’t meant to be a wrestler.
That one seems to strikes a nerve with Levi, as she becomes visibly angry and stops hopping and speaking. Her fist clench and Kymmy laughs menacingly at the sudden change in mood. Levi is red, in the face, and pouting with glaring eyes. It doesn’t intimidate Kymmy at all - her guard completely lowered for when Levi kicks her in the shin!
Kymmy drops the phone and lifts her knee to hop and hold her shin. Her first thought is to reciprocate and escalate, but something stops her when she sees Levi grab her phone off of the floor; a determined look on her face when she looks back at Kymmy.
Levi the Baby K:
I’m tired of you talking all this poop to me! You know, you think you’re so tough, but you’re no tougher than anyone else here! We’re in the same tournament, we’re in the same match, we’re on the same level - no matter what you think, Kymmy. You can’t bully your way into a win, especially not against me! I won’t back down and I’ll stand up against anyone who is against me. Bring me the biggest person in the world and I’ll still show up as the dragon I am! So, say whatever you want, but this string bean is going to give you a heck of a match, whether your seventeen classes got you ready for it or not. I’ll show you and everyone else that I was meant to be in a ring. Now, if you will excuse me, I have a pre-match tradition to finish, you jerk!
Levi stomps away and Kymmy, speechless at the passionate outburst, watches her go. Kymmy seems confused for a moment before a smirk creeps back up on her face. So, that’s how you get a baby riled up, huh? Kymmy, knowing she lit a fire under Levi, nods and stalks off with a, excited air about her match as the scene fades to black.

Levi and Oliver definitely created a lot of buzz around their match, with the back and forth on Twitter in the days leading up to Riot in Washington. The fans were firmly behind the Baby K, who stared at the bigger opponent unafraid, challenging her to swing the first punch. Boldly, Kymmy tried to persuade her, reminding Levi about her past as Arm Wrestling Champion but the young wrestler kept prodding, offering her the cheek for the first punch. Oliver wasn't having none of it, shaking her head and taking a step back, before suddenly turning and swinging a right hook. Levi ducked it and kicked Kymmy hard behind her knee, running at the ropes to put momentum in her single leg dropkick right to the head of the Youngbloods star. She dropped immediately in a pinning predicament, getting a two count before Oliver kicked out. Levi wrestled smartly the first part of the match, keeping herself away from Kymmy’s dangerous strikes and using her size and speed to her advantage. Duck, dodge and hit, this was her game plan and it was working magnificently. A dropkick sent Oliver outside the ring, giving Levi the chance to thrill the fans with one of their favorite moves in her arsenal, the suicide dive she calls KND. Her mistake was to take one moment too long to greet and exchange high fives with the fans, giving Kymmy an opening to club her to the back of the head with a heavy forearm. Showing all her mean streak, Kymmy tossed the opponent against the barricade with all her strength, stomping her to the ground. She let out a primal scream once she was done, almost taunting the fans that were booing her. After picking her up and landing a couple of uppercuts, she dragged her back in the ring to avoid the double count out, getting a two out of the cover. Levi was stuck in the corner, at the mercy of the opponent who was still hitting her with her heavy right hands. The Baby K raised her arms to protect herself from the punches, but this didn’t stop Kymmy who started driving her shoulder on Levi’s mid section. She then sat her on the top rope, climbing as well and hitting a superplex, floating into a pinning predicament and obtaining another near fall. Picking her up and whipping her against the ropes, Oliver then flung her vertically and caught her mid-air with a pop-up powerbomb, but neither this was enough to keep the resilient rookie down. Kymmy started showing the first signs of frustration as the clock was quickly running toward the time limit. Caught in a waist lock. Levi broke free and dropped on all fours, crawling backwards under Kymmy’s legs and pushed her chest first against the corner with a shotgun dropkick, trying to surprise her with a schoolboy pin. Kymmy kicked out, finding a superkick with her name written on as soon as she got back to her feet. Despite all the punishment she withstood, Levi went to the top rope and jumped on the opponent with a diving elbow, making the cover for another near fall. The two wrestlers were now brawling in the middle of the ring, and Kymmy was having the upper hand. Levi still found the energy to kick her in the right leg, following with another one on the left and a third, once again on the right. She then grabbed Kymmy by the wrist and tried to whip her against the ropes. Oliver planted on her feet, blocking the attempt and countering with one of her own. Levi rebounded from the ropes right into a big boot from the Youngbloods talent, who then smiled and formed a pistol with her hand, aiming and shooting at the Baby K who was getting back to her feet. She then went for the Right Of Hand that didn’t connected as Levi saw it coming and anticipated her move with a dropkick to the leg, following up with a running knee strike. Everybody thought that was it, that the vicious knee strike knocked the former Arm Wrestling champion down and out, but Oliver refused to stay down. Levi seemed shocked, staring at the referee for a few seconds before getting over the disappointment of yet another near fall and climbing to the top rope, planning her next big move. Unfortunately for her and for the fans watching, the twelve minutes were over, and the match ended in a draw. WINNER: Draw BY: Time Limit, 12:00 |
In Millennium’s backstage area we see Dean Smith wearing a black jacket he keeps open along with some black MMA shorts. He’s looking towards the Millennium doctor comes out of his office as he spots Dean approaching.
Millennium Doctor:
Dean, hello, I’m glad I caught you because I need to discuss your tests.
Dean pauses and gives the shorter doctor a slight smouldered look while keeping an eye out for Gabriel backstage.
Dean Smith:
What’s the news? Good? Because I need to get a win back and a steel cage is calling my name.
Millennium Doctor:
Well about that. After the tests on your arm, I don’t think I can recommend you put yourself into this match.
Which earns the doctor a more serious stare from Dean. This makes the doctor visibly uneasy but he continues.
Millennium Doctor:
You’re-You’re just not ready to step back into the ring yet. A little more rest and light physical therapy, a follow up test and you should be right as rain.
He says trying to put a positive spin on things. Dean looks in no mood for it.
Dean Smith:
Yulia booked a steel cage match. I’m stepping inside that cage one armed if need be and I won’t be coming out until Gabriel Hooke becomes a permanent patient on your road to recovery.
Dean says as he takes his jacket off, ripping the tape around the bad arm when out of the corner of his eye he notices a figure standing on the doorstep. A closer look and his expression changes. Yulia Kirilenko enters the office, her eyes moving from Dean to the Doctor and then back to the athlete. She doesn't say a word, a nod is all she needs for the doctor to hand Dean's record over to her. She gives it a quick read, glancing up at Dean every now and then.
Yulia Kirilenko:
You're crazy for wanting to step inside the ring with this arm...
She says putting the record down.
Yulia Kirilenko:
But I'm not. I'm not letting one of my top star putting his career on the line over this. Gabriel is a sportsman, but if you think for a moment that he won't target this arm...
Dean tries to reply, to plea his case, but the young russian stops him.
Yulia Kirilenko:
I know you want to settle this once and for all. And you will. But not tonight, not until your arm is perfectly healed up. And that's the final word on it.
Her authoritative tone leaves no room to any rebuttal. Greeting Dean and the doctor, the General Manager leaves the room, and the camera cuts to the next segment.

Dean Smith VS Gabriel HookeWINNER: // BY: //, 0:00 |
The scene cuts backstage to Corey Grimes, already dressed down into his ring gear as he has a smile on his face. He glances over at the camera and can’t help but look excited.
Corey Grimes:
Tonight? Tonight is the start of a new chapter. Things haven’t gone as I have planned it as of late but this opportunity? It’s exactly what I need, exactly what I’ve been looking for to establish myself here in Millennium. The Junior Heavyweight Championship tournament is a HUGE deal! And tonight, I go up against someone I respect, someone who has the same type of attitude I do, in Rachel Carpenter.
He nods.
Corey Grimes:
You know, this match is a breath of fresh air, to be honest. No pettiness, no games, it’s just a good and clean, respectful fight. This is what I’ve been wanting for quite some time, and I’m ecstatic that this is how the tournament is starting off for me. But as much as I respect Rachel and her tenacity, she isn’t going to be able to beat me. There is no way I’m going to lose, because becoming the Junior Heavyweight Champion is what my eyes are set on and I am not going to let anyone get in my way. And once I win this tournament and become it’s champion? I will use this championship as a way to establish Riot as one of the premier brands in all of wrestling.
Corey looks a bit more serious as he steps forward, looking into the camera with confidence.
Corey Grimes:
So tonight? I’m going to establish myself in this tournament when I defeat Rachel and move on forward. I know she might bring a lot to the table but she isn’t going to get past me. I have way too much on the line right now. I don’t just have a name to live up to, but a legacy. My cousin, Gavin, established the Grimes name but now I have to not just live up to it, but to surpass it. As much as I respect my cousin, I plan on being better than him and making this name my own. Hell, I plan on being better than everyone, it’s why I do this. I want to be the best, I CRAVE to be the best and tonight? Tonight is just the beginning. We’re just getting started.
Corey nods confidently as he walks away and the scene cuts off.

Junior Heavyweight Tournament, Group E
Nikki Knight VS Zafar KhanJunior Heavyweight Tournament, Group E
Another match in the group E saw Nikki Knight taking on Zafar Khan, who was making his return to a MWE ring after his losing effort against Dusty Douglas back at Southern Hospitality. The match startedin the most classic way, with the two competitors locking up. The bigger experience and the technical advantage allowed Nikki to easily take control, bringing the fight to the ground where she positioned herself behind the opponent, dropping some violent elbows to the chest while keeping her arm around his neck. After wearing him down with multiple shots, she tried an early cover, only getting a one count out of it. The Canadian kicked him between the shoulders blades, circling around him like a shark around the prey and landing onther kick to the face, proceeding to relentlessly stomp him when he was laying on the mat, showing the usual mean streak results of years of frustration career wise. After the complicated start, Zafar started building some momentum with some knee strikes to the abdomen that left Nikki stunned and allowed him to drop er down with a slingblade. He moved behind Nikki's back, waiting for her to stand up to lift her for a Blue Thunder Bomb. Knight kicked out, reversing the Irish Whip and charging at the cornered opponent. Zafar raised his leg to counter the charging, but Nikki caught it, and mocked him shaking her head as she held his foot. Zafar tried to reach her with the other leg, but she blocked that kick as well, holding both legs and slamming him on the mat. With him sitting against the corner, Nikki ran to the opposite side of the ring, hit the ropes and charged at him at full speed, launching herself against him with a cannonball. Seven minutes into the match, Nikki tried to put an end to it with her Knightfall, a sitout last ride powerbomb that Zafar was able to avoid, breaking free with some desperate punches to the top of the head. This served a double purpose, saving him from a potential defeat and stunning the canadian, making it a child's play for him to superkick her into next week. He made the cover after the standing moonsault, but it still wasn't enough to keep Knight down. The action became frantic by the end of the match, with Zafar nailing her with a Tornado DDT and Nikki getting as close as humanly possible to three after the Chivalry Is Dead (Damage Reflex). She dragged him back to his feet and set him up for the Snapmare Driver she calls Knightmare, but Zafar pushed her away, cathcing her as she rebounded back from the ropes in his Tiger Style (Spanish Fly), securing the win in his debut match. WINNER: Zafar Khan BY: Pinfall (Tiger Style), 8:39 |
The scene opens up to a close up shot of the Invictus Championship as the camera pans back we see the belt is securely fastened around the waist of the first ever champion, Cole Gregory. He is already dressed for his match later tonight against Smoke. He smiles as he eyes up the camera, clearly in a good mood.
Cole Gregory:
I still can’t believe it you know… I will forever go down in the history books as the first ever Invictus Champion in the history of Riot and Millennium Wrestling. I went out there and I did what I wanted to and what I had to do and won matches in back to back nights to walk away with the gold. But now comes the real challenge. Now? I get everyone’s best shot, every night, in every match. With this championship, I am the highest standard in the Invictus Division. And that’s not something I’m taking lightly.

He takes a moment, now much more sterner than before.
Cole Gregory:
Being the champion, everyone is going to be looking to earn their spot, make their name off mine. I don’t mind it, it comes with being the champion and if Dean had beaten me? I would be looking to do the same against him. This isn’t my first championship but I’m not going to say that makes me an expert in the field. From seeing family members and friends win championships and how much that adds to the stress and competitive nature… I have a good idea what I am in for. And that starts tonight with Smoke.

Cole rubs his chin for a moment and lets out a sigh.
Cole Gregory:
This might not be a match for my championship title but it’s still like a championship match for him. He walks in and beats me on my first show as champion? That’s like getting a title shot gift wrapped and hand delivered to him. He knocks me down? All the others come banging on the door wanting to get their claim in. Tonight, I walk out there and I show the world watching that I am the very highest level of the Invictus Division and I’ll knock you out or tap you out to prove it…

Invictus Rules
Cass Baumer VS Tobie Nox ThorneInvictus Rules
Cass Baumer shocked the Millennium fans with her surprise comeback at night two of Deep In The Heart, where she helped Melissa Reeves during her match against the owner of MWE, Grace van Beek. Tonight the former CEO of Baumer report made her debut on Riot, in an Invictus rule match against that Tobie Nox Thorne who, despite coming up short in her match against Dean, looked impressive, possibly becoming the main cause of Smith’s first loss against Cole Gregory, in the title match they had on night two. First Round: TNT was looking extremely focused, not making the mistake of underestimating the opponent despite her lack of experience with the Invictus rules. Keeping her guard up, the French girl weathered the initial flurry of offense from the Headliner, dodging and blocking most of her strikes and countering with a vicious spinning heel kick to the side of the head. The Headliner was thrown off balance, staggering backwards visibly stunned and Tobie took the chance to launch herself on the former journalist, driving her to the mat and raining rights and lefts to her head. Baumer managed to shake Tobie off, getting back to her feet and leaning against the corner. Tobie charged with a running forearm, dodged by the cunning kiwi who quickly turned on the offense with a series of kicks to the mid section. Cass picked Tobie up and positioned her for a corner rope hung flatliner, dropping the former [R]evo tag team champion on her face. She didn’t waste any time, picking TNT up and starting to use her as a punching bag, connecting a few quick jabs before swinging for the KO blow. This played right in Tobie’s hand who easily ducked it and applied a rear naked choke, dragging the former two time FAW Hardcore Champion to the mat, tightening the hold and cutting off the air. The five minute bell saved Cass from what seemed to be an inevitable tap out. Judges Scores: Kirilenko: Thorne 10-9 Dyson: Thorne 10-9 Valero: Thorne 10-9 Second Round The second round started with Baumer charging at Tobie, catching her off guard with a shotgun dropkick that sent the Frenchie against the corner. Cass charged at her with a high knee, bringing her on the mat with a snapmare and kicking her between the shoulders. Trying a new strategy, the Headliner tried to keep Tobie grounded, applying some pressure on her back. TNT eventually wrestled her way out of the submission and stood back up, twisting the opponent’s arm in a wrist lock and threw her against the ropes, hitting her with a jumping knee. Cass was stunned, wiping away some blood from her busted lips with the back of her hand. Tobie relentlessly attacked her with a kick to the gut and a snap ddt from which Baumer got up rather quickly, although wobbling on her legs. Tobie started hitting her with elbows and forearms, a series of lightning quick strikes ended by a roundhouse kick. She was ready to jump on the grounded opponent, but the referee stopped her to check on Cass who, despite being visibly rocked by the hits, made it back to her feet with the help of the ropes. And on that, the second round came to an end. Judges Scores Kirilenko: Thorne 10-8 Dyson: Thorne 10-9 Valero: Thorne 10-9 Final Round The match was clearly in Tobie’s pocket, only a miracle could have changed the course of this match. Cass tried to make that miracle, exploding out of the corner with a lariat that knocked down the younger opponent. Her enthusiasm quickly faded moments later when Thorne caught her leg and dodged the enziguri attempt, bringing the fight back to the mat. If anything, Baumer showed that she did her homework, blocking all of Tobie’s attempts to apply the Americana Lock, forcing the former Tag champion to try a different approach. First it was stiff shining wizard, then a nasty superkick to the back of the head, and after that a spinning heel kick. After every kick Baumer stood back up, refusing to give up the fight. This drew her some applause from the fans, who admired her attitude. Tobie seemed concerned about her opponent, barely able to stand on her feet and yet willing to continue the match. But when Cass charged at her, she showed no hesitation, jumping and locking her in a flying triangle choke. Seconds passed quickly, almost a minute in and Baumer was still refusing to give up. A few seconds later and the referee called for the bell, realizing that Cass had passed out. WINNER: Tobie Nox Thorne BY: Submission (Flying Triangle Choke), Round 3, 3:42 |
The scene cuts backstage as Yoji Kojima leans back in a steal chair. Legs kicked up on a near by table. Hands extended out as he paints his nails black. One of his many signature masks covers his face as to not show his identity. Smoke from a black cigarette is seen next to Yoji’s feet.
Yoji Kojima:
(Translated from Japanese)
Millennium. It’s nice to finally meet you. I’ve heard so many great things about this little company. You’ve been a gracious host since I’ve came in and I greatly appreciate your kindness. But tonight, it’s not about kindness. Its about surviving. 24 total competitors. The best, of the so called best, in the Junior Heavyweight Division. Just like so many of the participants, I’m here to show that I am the best Junior Heavyweight in wrestling today. Like so many of the sheep that have and will continue to run their mouths about how great they are.....I’m more about showing how great I truly am. So I plan on doing that tonight against the ever so lovable Ethan Giles.
Yoji pauses as he places the nail polish brush back inside its container. Putting his fingers close to his mouth, Yoji blows on his nails to quicken the drying process. Picking up the cigarette, Yoji takes a hit and let’s out a string of smoke.
Yoji Kojima:
(Translated from Japanese)
Giles! Amigo! You are such a happy fellow. You give people inspiration. You say nice things. You perform gracious actions. You sir, are a saint. You are a nice man......almost too nice. See Giles, unlike the rest of the sheep, I’m looking past the kindness and the happy nature that you portray, and I see a clown. You paint your face up to be happy, but behind the makeup is nothing more than a sad little man who’s crying for help. No one else sees it. But I do, Amigo. So I’m going to help you. I’m going to end your suffering. I’m going to rip that stupid mask off your face and finally set you free. I’m going reveal to everyone just who you truly are. A man that’s full of hate and full of sadness. No longer will you be chained down by this false kindness and lie to everyone about how you love them and respect them. I will show you your true colors Giles. And you will thank me. Trust me, Amigo. I’ll be by your side through this new journey.
Yoji takes one last puff from his cigarette before killing it on the table.

Ethan Giles VS Yoji KojimaJunior Heavyweight Tournament, Group E
The two masked wrestler whose paths crossed tonight here in the second match of the Group E couldn't be any different. One one side, the Gentlest Man, Ethan Giles. On the opposite corner, the Gajin Asesino Yoji Kojima, a man who wouldn't let morals and sportsmanship get on his way to reach his goals. As you would expect from a class act such as Ethan, the match started with a handshake. Or we should say an attempted on. Yoji exploited the goodness of heart of Giles and kicked him in the stomach, lifting him for a cradle piledriver. The fans watched in shock as he made the cover for what could be the quickest win of the tournament so far, but the Gentle Grappler wasn't going down so easily. Kojima was determined to end this match quickly as he turned Ethan's chest bright red with some knife edge chops, sending him against the ropes and knocking him down with a dropkick. Ethan rolled out of the ring to regroup, and he was immediately met by Darlington Woolsworth the IV who offered him some fresh water. But there was no time for that, not with Kojima that tonight came in all gun blazing and launched himself through the ropes with a suicide dive. In an ultimate gesture of altruism, Ethan pushed his friend out of the way, saving him from the fury of the masked japanese. Kojima was not done, sliding back inside the ring and waiting for Giles to stand up before hitting a second suicide dive. As the action came back into the ring, Yoji had now slowed down the pace, applying a tight head lock to Ethan. This could have been his mistake, to challenge Giles in his stronger suit. The Gentle Grappler easily wrestled his way out of the submission, turning the situation to his advantage and applying the same hold on Yoji, who unsuccessfully tried to break free. Taking this chance to rest up while wearing the opponent down, Ethan eventually pushed Yoji against the ropes and knocked him down with an old school polish hammer. He then grabbed his arm and tried to end the match with his version of the magistral cradle called Got Your Arm! but it was definitely not enough to keep the former Dog Of War down. After a back suplex neckbreaker couldn't get the job done either, the Gentle Grappler launched his opponent in the conrer and charged at him. Yoji moved out of the way through the ropes, using them to connect a pendulum kick followed by a springboard dropkick, watching the floored opponent and jumping on him with a foot stomp. It was now his turn to try for a cover, only getting a two count. Ethan regained control of the operation, connecting his Gilesplex (slow vertical suplex with a bridging pin) that almost gave him the win. Kojima's reaction was furious, in the form of a flurry of stiff kicks that trampled the man with the yellow mask, forcing him back into the croner where the offense of the japanese wrestler didn't stop. Chops, forearms knee shots... Yoji was hitting Ethan with everything he got, even using the sole of his boot for an illegal choke that costed him an official warning from the referee. This bought Ethan some time to recover, giving him the opportunity to fight back when the japanese luchador picked him up, landing a few quick jabs. Yoji tried to switch the momentum back in his favor with one of the many tricks in his arsenal, spitting his poison mist on the friendly wrestler. He didn't consider that the mask would protect him from the effect of the mist. Giles grabbed him by the arm, but Yoji countered the Irish Whp attempt, sending the Gentlest Man against the ropes. Ethan jumped at him with a spinning headscissors, dropping Yoji face first on the canvas and quickly transitioned into a crucifix pin, getting the win at the end of an hard fought battle. WINNER: Ethan Giles BY: Pinfall (Around The World), 10:26 |
The camera cuts to the backstage area and the focus is upon one of the participants in the Junior Heavyweight tournament, Rachel Carpenter, who is looking towards the camera with a big smile on her face clearly excited to be here tonight for the first time at a Millenium event. Rachel is dressed in her ring gear for her match against Corey Grimes along with a pair of black gloves with the fingers cut off that she is adjusting onto her hands, wiggling her fingers around a little bit to make sure they are on and feeling quite comfortable.
Rachel Carpenter:
Tonight is a first for me, the first time I’ll be competing outside of a Southside ring, and I can’t be more excited about it. There’s a lot of big names in this tournament and I know it’s probably going to be one of the biggest challenges in my career so far, but there’s no risks out there if you don’t first take that chance, right? How else can I better myself if I don’t get out of that comfort zone and challenge myself against those bigger names that could further elevate my career.
Rachel pauses for a moment as she finishes adjusting her gloves and reaches up with one hand to brush some of her blonde hair out of her face with a smile.
Rachel Carpenter:
I’m definitely kicking things off with a bang by having my very first opponent in the tournament be Corey Grimes. I think the last name Grimes speaks for itself as far as the quality of opponent that I will be sharing the right with tonight. He’s made it clear that he’s ready for this, that he’s going to be bringing his best, and that he wants for our match to steal the show. I want the exact same thing. I want everyone in the Junior Heavyweight tournament to notice who I am and be made well aware of the fact that I am a threat. That I am someone who’s in this to win the entire thing, because why else would we even sign up if we didn’t want to win it all?
The question hangs in the air as Rachel clears her throat, taking a deep breath to steady those usual nerves she felt just before she was about to step foot inside of the ring.
Rachel Carpenter:
This is what I’ve wanted to do with my life for as long as I could remember. Southside was kind enough to give me a chance to start my career off and get me inside of the ring. Now Millenium has been kind enough to allow me the chance to participate in their Junior Heavyweight tournament with some stellar competition that I can wait to compete against. I won’t disappoint them and I certainly won’t disappointment Corey here tonight when we’ll be having our match. He deserves nothing less than my best, which is exactly what I’ve brought with me, and we’ll see between the both of us just who has enough heart to carry us through to that victory.
Rachel claps her hands together a few times with a big smile on her face as she begins to walk away from the camera, making it clear that she was getting ready to head out to the ring for her match that was only mere moments away from happening.
Rachel Carpenter:
Good luck to you tonight Corey! Let’s make it a match that no one will forget!
With those final words spoken, Rachel turns on her heels, waving back to the camera with one hand before further making her way down the hall with a slight bounce in her step.

Corey Grimes VS Rachel CarpenterJunior Heavyweight Tournament, Group B
After the draw between Levi and Kymmy Oliver, the second match of group C represented a huge opportunity for both Corey Grimes and the new number one contender for the Southside Sunshine State Championship Rachel Carpenter to take the lead in the bracket. The match started with the two competitors circling around before locking up in the center of the ring. Corey quickly grabbed Rachel’s arm and twisted it, placing one hand behind her neck and pushing her to a seated position, stepping over her arm and grabbing the far one before rolling her over, getting a count of two out of the quick pinfall attempt. The pair was now back again on their feet, with Rachel applying a side headlock and quickly transitioning into an armdrag, taking Corey to the mat. The young Grimes tried to free himself from the armlock, but Rachel was holding onto him with a tight grasp, keeping the high flier grounded. She even tried to surprise him with a crucifix pin, but Corey kicked out. Carpenter then transitioned into an armbar, with Corey desperately trying to reach the ropes with his feet before any consistent damage to his arm could be done. It was a great and very even contest, with back and forth quick paced action. Rachel whipped Corey against the ropes, Grimes slid between her legs and quickly got back to his feet, just in time for being planted on his head with an incredible jumping DDT. She couldn’t capitalize on her move as Corey wisely left the ring, rolling under the bottom rope and catching some breath on the apron. Carpenter was right back on him, trying to drag him back inside the ring. Grimes was one step ahead, driving his shoulder in her mid-section, jumping on the top rope and using it to propel himself back in the ring with the Flying Grimes (Springboard Forearm Smash). Rachel made it back to her feet, at least momentarily before Corey tooke her down with a sitout jawbreaker, following up with a running shooting star press. The Sunshine State number one contender managed to lift her shoulder before the three. Carpenter had her moment to shine after countering Corey’s crossbody attempt with a superkick out of nowhere. She quickly picked him up and connected her Blonde Blizzard (Spinning Fisherman Suplex), transitioning into a lateral press for another near fall. The blonde Southside star seemed to be now in control, getting another near fall with the snapmare Driver she calls In The Six. Grimes once again kicked out and, out of instinct alone, managed to roll out of the Carpen-Flip, Rachel’s standing moonsault knee drop. Corey tried to take advantage of the situation with a Gedo Clutch, from which the Canadian kicked out easily. Corey kicked her in the gut and hooked her arm in a double underhook fashion, going for his CG1-Win, but Rachel blocked the move, wiggling out and going for a lariat, ducked by Grimes who then hit the ropes to gain momentum and took the blonde girl down with a sling blade. When Carpenter made it back to her feet, Corey was waiting for her with a series of swift kicks to the legs, ending the sequence with a spinning back kick that doubled Rachel over. Corey whipped her against the ropes and jumped with a calf kick. The blonde girl was down, and Grimes was stalking her, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike him with the Sac-Town Explosion for the win. WINNER: Corey Grimes BY: Pinfall (Sac-Town Explosion), 9:51 |
The current feed transitions to an area backstage, a corridor to be more specific as one of the newest signings to Riot in Smoke is sitting cross-legged on an equipment box. Nobody walks by and even if they would, they wouldn't go to question what Smoke was doing. He cracks his neck slightly and starting to speak whilst still looking down at the ground.
Smoke
You all saw what I was capable of at Deep in the Heart, didn't you? To help those who perhaps didn't catch said show, let me give you a short and sweet summary of what exactly went down. In my official Millenium debut as a part of the Riot roster, they matched me against... you know, their name doesn't need to be said. They were hopeless from the beginning. The fact that this was my first chance to make an impact made it all too easier for me, because I thrive in situations like these. My fists reflect the statements I deliver and the way I was brought up. Rough, painful and ultimately, different from the norm.
He now looks up the camera, retaining the cross-legged position.
Smoke
Life doesn't have to be sunshine and rainbows from beginning to end. For me, I was the one whose name was on everybody's mouth and yet within my family, it was me who didn't get treated right. When I left my home and started wrestling all over the United Kingdom, my name was Adam Neilson. Growing, learning and expanding my craft helped Adam evolve into what you see right now. Smoke. The wrestler who soon will be the name floating in the air with a slight distaste to, yet everybody wants a piece of it. The first big break came in San Fransisco within SFW, now with that opportunity gone, it brings me here to Riot in Washington.
Smoke raises his right hand up to the camera, turning it around to reveal marks on his knuckles. He slowly moves his hand to the side before bawling it into a fist.

Yulia already knows what she has. That's exactly why this week I am going one-on-one with the inaugural Invictus Champion, Cole Gregory. There isn't much to be said on you apart from what has already been sent around, right Cole? Becoming the first ever Invictus Champion is impressive enough, so bravo. The only problem here is that you've been pitted against me in your first match back from winning the title on such a grand stage. Underestimate the newcomer all you want because I can see it coming from a mile away. You'll find out exactly what I'm made of though once that bell rings. Will you survive all three rounds? Will you survive two rounds? Will you survive one round?
He lowers the fist and looks directly into the camera, glare as cold as the night.
Smoke
Or answer me the main question here... will your title reign survive after this?
Smoke gets off the equipment box and stands up on his feet, slapping himself in the face to warm up before heading down the corridor with a confident look on his face.

Cole Gregory VS SmokeInvictus Rules
Smoke made his impressive debut at Deep In The Heart against Reggie Walker, but toonight he found himself facing a much bigger challenge against the Invictus Champion Cole Gregory, in his favorite environment none the less. First Round: Reckless and fearless, Smoke exploded out of his corner and charged at Cole as soon as the bell rang, shoving him in the corner with a shotgun dropkick. He quickly reached him there and stomped him a few times, picking him up and connecting a few elbow shots to the jaw. The ruthless attack was nothing fancy, far from the clean strikes we were used to see in the Invictus Rules, but nonetheless effective. And it took Cole off guard. The Invictus Champion was struggling to find a counter to the unhortodox style of Smoke, finding himself on the receiving end of a full nelson backbreaker. Invictus or regular match, it didn't seem to make much of a difference to the "All Seeing" who was showing the same aggression that allowed him to dispose of Reggie in just three minutes. Eventually, near the end of the round, Cole managed to take the match to the mat with a rolling leg lock, keeping the opponent locked in for a good minute before the bell rang, making the judges score kinder for him. Judges Scores Kirilenko: Smoke 10-9 Dyson: Smoke 10-9 Valero: Smoke 10-8 Second Round: Smoke tried to repeat the first round, charging at Cole who this time took him down with a drop toe hold, applying a front face lock and driving his knees to the head multiple times while cutting off his air supply. Smoke managed to get out of this dangerous situation, busting Cole's nose with the running knee called Protect Ya Neck. This turned the tides back in his favor, connecting a few kicks before going for his discus elbow. Cole was down and in great difficulty, leaning against the ropes trying to protect himself from the opponent's strikes. But, as often happened in the Invictus match, the slightest distraction can be fatal. Smoke took a moment to taunt the fans, and that allowed Cole to lock him in The Cole-Lapse, the bridging arm triangle chokehold that gave him the win so many times in the past. And tonight as well. WINNER: Cole Gregory BY: Submission (The Cole-Lapse), Round 2; 3:15 |
Jackson Idol:
So I get to open things against Kelsey Spencer…
Jackson walks into the camera shot after first talking off camera. He’s in his ring gear and a shirt that has “Your Favourite Idol” on the front with #IdolMoments on the back. He has a smirk that never seems to come off his face.
Jackson Idol:
Now I could go on and on about her and her personal life that she lived out on Twitter where her boyfriend admitted to shagging her tag partner and she was okay with it despite everyone mocking her or I could go on about how I made a joke about all the trash talk going on for this tournament and said her hair was bad and she got sad about it. But none of that really translates into the ring. You see, for as idiotic as Kelsey Spencer is, she’s decent enough in the ring that she’s stuck it out this far… So I have to give her some credit.
Jackson chuckles and shakes his head.
Jackson Idol:
But then again, I’m Jackson fuckin Idol… I’m not going into this thinking Kelsey has a chance in hell against me. A snowball in the middle of hell has a better chance than she does against me. I’m going to go out there and do what I do best… Be everyone’s favourite Idol…
He gives one more cocky smirk and blows a kiss to the camera before walking off.

Kelsey Spencer VS Jackson IdolJunior Heavyweight Tournament, Group C
Jackson Idol is out first, and he looks locked in, looking to gain some momentum for the beginning of this tournament. Kelsey makes her way down to the ring and she clearly doesn’t look happy with Idol, who’s been talking trash all week. When she slides into the ring, Jackson wastes no time as he gives Kelsey clubbing forearms in the back of the head before taking Kelsey down with a snap DDT. Jackson pins Kelsey but she kicks out after one. Jackson picks Kelsey up and goes to whip her into the corner but Kelsey’s quickness helps her counter and she whips Jackson into the corner before charging in and spearing him. Kelsey then grabs Jackson from behind and nails him with a running bulldog. Kelsey pins Idol but Jackson manages to kick out just before the two count. Jackson gets to a knee and Kelsey hits him with a forearm, Jackson gets back up, and nails Kelsey with a thunderous headbutt. The smack is sickening as Kelsey tumbles outside of the ring. Jackson follows and he picks Kelsey up and he whips Kelsey into the post face first. Kelsey crumbles to the ground before Jackson picks her up and he lifts her up before Jackson hits a spinebuster on Spencer on top of the steel steps on the outside. Idol picks Kelsey up and rolls her into the ring before covering her. The referee counts to two but Kelsey kicks out just before the three count as she gets her shoulder up. Jackson stands up and he nails a now seated Spencer with a kick to the chest. Idol picks Spencer up and he tosses Kelsey into the corner and then climbs the turnbuckle and Jackson starts to punch her in the face as the fans count along, but suddenly Kelsey slides her arms under Idol’s legs and manages to drop the much larger opponent with a powerbomb, a move she normally wouldn’t be able to pull off without Jackson already being up in the air. Spencer makes the pin and the referee makes the count but Idol manages to get his shoulder up before the three count. Spencer looks annoyed and agitated as she gets up to her feet. Spencer then stomps at Jackson a few times, telling him to stay down. She goes to pick Idol up but Jackson throws a few elbow shots into Kelsey’s gut before he charges and tackles Kelsey to the outside and they go battling around the ringside area, and Jackson begins to hit Kelsey with everything he has. Idol throws Kelsey into the post and then starts to dismantle the table. Jackson puts Kelsey on it and picks her up, he’s looking to go for something big here and he hits the FC Cutter (RKO) right through the table. The fans start chanting “holy shit!” over and over at the carnage. The referee starts to count them both out but Jackson manages to get up and drag Kelsey to the ring. He then puts her inside of the ring and he gets in himself before he goes to pick her up but Spencer was playing possum as she rolls Idol up. The referee goes for the count and he counts to three as Spencer somehow held Idol down as he kicked out right at three, a millisecond too late. Jackson looks furious as as Kelsey quickly rolls out of the ring. Jackson points at her, telling her she got lucky as Kelsey laughs and shrugs her shoulders. WINNER: Kelsey Spencer BY: Pinfall (Roll Up), 10:37 |
A video segment plays on the arena 'tron, opening to an image of Melissa Reeves. She's crouched, head down; a baseball bat held against the floor, upside down and with her palms resting against the handle.
Melissa Reeves:
My journey in this company has been bumpy, rough. I lost my job, only to claw it back. I've been screwed over, fucked with and disrespected. Even in the face of my victory, there were those that are only too eager to show their ignorance and stupidity. Perhaps in the past I would have aimed to change that...
She shakes her head.
Melissa Reeves:
But that was then, this is now. See it dawned on me that what those people think? It means nothing. They're just voices, echos on a meaningless social media platform. Me? I could talk garbage like that too, but I actually have a life to live. I have goals to achieve, I have accompliments I am yet to grab.
She finally looks up at the camera.
Melissa Reeves:
That brings me to now. How better to announce my arrival on the Riot brand than the main event match? A match against the brand champion, no less. On paper it sounds impressive, she defeated four others to take home that gold.
Reeves scoffs.
Melissa Reeves:
But who were those four, really? Were they the owner of the company? Wher they someone willing to use anything in their power to win? No. That is who I faced and that is who I overcame.
She shrugs.
Melissa Reeves:
Those four may have a future ahead of them, but right now they're nowhere near being on my level. The question now would be, is Liv? The answer, I would suggest, is an emphatic no.
There's a small pause as she takes a laboured deep breath.
Melissa Reeves:
Now I'm sure Liv disagrees. In fact, I expect it...I just don't care. I didn't come here to be second best to a girl who's crowning accomplishment so far on Riot is beating up a bunch of nobodies. I came here with one goal and one goal only.
She slowly rises to her feet, dragging the bat up with her.
Melissa Reeves:
To become the MWE Champion.
She flicks the bat up to lean against her shoulder.
Melissa Reeves:
Tonight is just the next step toward that goal. Nothing personal, Liv, you're just kinda in my way now.
She smirks a little and half turns away from the camera, before looking back.
Melissa Reeves:
See you out there, champ.

Melissa Reeves VS Liv MercerThe recently crowned Riot Champion Liv Mercer and one the most decorated wrestler in the roster. After being fired at Imperium as per stipulation of her match against the owner Grace van Beek, exploited a loophole and resigned with Riot, getting her payback on the Diamond Princess at the last pay per view, Deep In The Heart. The same event where Liv defeated four other wrestlers to claim her spot as the face of the Orange Brand. The match started with Melissa Reeves trying to grab Liv and the champion immediately leaving the ring, an attempt to get on Mel’s nerves. The Reaver followed her outside and started chasing around the ring, until Liv’s boyfriend Oz Dalton put himself on her path. It didn’t take much for Mel to realize what was going on, in her ten years career she definitely saw this trick pulled more than once, but despite this, she couldn’t avoid the baseball slide. The impact sent her against the barricades, where Liv immediately reached her and started stomping the former Liberty Champion. Dragging her to the ring, Liv drove her head against the apron before sliding back in and attempting a cover, for just a count of one. She picked up Reeves, who quickly reacted with a hard chop, and a second one before hitting the champion with three forearm shots and a knee to the stomach that doubled Liv over, completing the sequence with an axe kick. The bigger experience allowed Mel to easily keep control, stifling at birth every attempt of reaction the champion tried. Unable to outwrestle the former Liberty Pro Champion, Liv took the easier way out from the submission move, reaching for the ropes with her foot. Melissa taunted her to come get some more, but Liv was having none of it and left the ring. Not so fast, said Reeves who grabbed her before she could even jump off the apron, entwining her arms to the rope and hitting her with a series of ten forearm shots to the chest, before stepping on the bottom rope and bringing her back into the ring with an inverted suplex. She then tried to make the cover, but the champion still had some fight left in her. And somehow Liv was able to turn things around countering a belly to belly suplex with a desperate headbutt, bringing Mel to the mat with a headscissors takedown. From the second rope, Liv jumped for a legdrop, going for a cover right after. The match went on with Liv now in control. landing a few stiff kicks before going for her straigh jacket neckbreaker slam, obtaining another count of two. The champion argued with the referee, complaining about a slow count. Mel capitalized on the distraction with a middle kick, following with an exploder suplex. Mercer was now in the corner and the Reaver charged at her, going for a stinger splash that found nobody home, as the Riot Champion moved out of the way, grabbing the opponent in a waistlock and pinning her with a beautiful bridging german suplex. Once again the Aussie kicked out, but Liv was right back onto her with a series of three forearm shots before sending her against the ropes. Mel ducked the lariat and countered with a float over ddt, planting the champion on her head. That's when from behind the curtains, welcomed by the sounding boos of the nine thousand in Everett, Charlotte Webster walked to the ramp, barking orders at her client, Franky Harris. The Beef headed to the ring with a quick and decisive pace and a threatening look in his eyes. But neither that nor his impressive size seemed to be intimadating the former Vengeance Pro Champion who was, instead, inviting the big man. Rushing down the ramp, or at least as much as she possibly could after being almost knocked out in more than one occasion during her match, Cass Baumer came once again to the rescue, jumping on Franky's back and wrapping her arms around his massive head and neck in a sleeper hold. Inside the ring, Liv was back on her feet, capitalizing on the distracted opponent to connect her Stay Grounded (Inverted Stomp Facebreaker) getting the win in her first match as the Riot Champion. WINNER: Liv Mercer BY: Pinfall (Stay Grounded), 14:09 |
Outside the ring, Franky finally gets rid of Cass, dropping her on the mat. Cass grabs a chair to try even the odds, but The Beef, deceptively quick, charges at her raising his big boot and smashing the chair on her face. Following Charlotte's order, Harris picks her up once again and lifts her for his Beef Bomb (Spinning Sitout Powerbomb) on the concrete. Melissa gets back on her feet and boy, she is fuming! Liv takes the hint and leaves the ring, grabbing her title and clutching it against her chest, as she runs up the ramp. Reeves mesure the distance and launches herself against Franky with a suicide dive. The impact sends the big man against the barricade, Reeves charges at him but he catches her with a STO, slamming the multi time champion on the floor. Mel grabs her bat that was leaning in the proximity, swinging it against Franky's leg and dropping him on his knees. It seems like The Reaver is about to smash his head with the bat, when Charlotte draws the attention on her for a brief moment, enough for Harris to grab the bat abd yank, pulling Mel right into a huge clothesline. The Beef picks up the bat from the floor but, rather than using it to punish Reeves, he breaks it in half, making his statement with yet another Beef Bomb. The show ends as Charlotte congratulates with his client, patting him on the back. Zooming out, the camera shows the carnage at ringside. The announcer's table broken by Jackson Idol and the motionless bodies of Cass Baumer and Melissa Reeves. Standing tall over the wreckage is Franky "The Beef" Harris and his smiling manager, Charlotte Webster.
