Singles Match
Reggie Walker VS SmokeThe latest addition to the Riot roster had the honor to kick off the biggest pay per view in the history of MWE. “All Seeing” walked down the ramp with a quick pace and a determined look on his face, making his way to the ring where his opponent, the good ol’ Reggie Walker was waiting for him. The match started and Smoke immediately showed some ruthless aggression with with quick and stiff punches right to the face. His style might not have been pretty to watch, but it was oh so effective, and soon Reggie found himself watching the ceiling being stomped by Smoke. He then picked him up and sent him running against the ropes. Reggie ducked under the clothesline, bouncing back once again and running right into a big boot. But Smoke didn’t stop there, picking him up and, after a couple of uppercuts amd finishing the sequence with a discus elbow. Walker was once again down, slowly making it back to his feet. But the relentless Smoke didn’t give him the chance, charging at him with a running knee lift. The english wrestler was now toying with Reggie, who made a shy comeback with a snap ddt, following up with a pinfall attempt that only gave him a count of one. Reggie swung his right hand, ducked by Smoke who quickly grabbed his arm and lifted him in a pumphandle position, slamming him on the mat with his End Of The Tale (Pentagon Driver), making a quick job out of Reggie and walking out with his first win in his debut in MWE. WINNER: Smoke BY: Pinfall (End Of The Tale), 3:21 |
Jared Idol: "That's what I call making an impact!"
Bea Torres: "He didn't have much to say before his debut, but he let his actions do the talking tonight."
Jared Idol: "And as they say, they speak louder than words."

Invictus Championship Semifinal
Tobie Nox Thorne VS Dean SmithInvictus Championship Semifinal
The first ever Invictus Rules Championship match on pay-per-view, a chance to qualify to tomorrow’s final when the title will be on the line. This was the kind of pressure Tobie Nox Thorne had to deal with, as they waited for the ring announcer Rumchata Ayano to explain the rules to the fans who might not be familiar with them or Riot. First Round: The first of three rounds saw both competitors approaching the match very cautiously, perfectly aware of how dangerous the opponent can be. Dean with his KO strikes, Tobie with her deadly ground game. The studying phase lasted for the first couple of minutes, until one of Tobie’s kicks broke through Dean’s defense, catching him on the rib cage area. A few more punches to the face later, Tobie went for a spinning heel kick, dropping Dean on his back. Wasting no time she mounted on top of him, dropping some elbows to the face, one of which cut Dean right above the eye. Smith rolled through, switching positions and, despite the blood pouring down his face, he returned the courtesy with some punches of his own. Even under the flurry of offense, Tobie was able to position herself and wrap her legs around Smith’s body. That way, when she eventually caught his arm, she quickly shifted into an armbar. It was the first big moment of the match, Dean was in a lot of pain locked into the dangerous submission, but somehow he forced his way out of it. He stared at Tobie, who was now getting back on her feet and shook some feeling back in his arm. The two wrestlers started circling once again, but the five minutes were coming to an end, and the first round ended. Judges Scores: Kirilenko: Thorne 10-8 Dyson: Thorne 10-9 Valero: Thorne 10-8 Second Round: An impressive performance granted a win in the first round for Tobie. The cut on the brow ridge, patched up by the doctor between the two rounds, and the dominant display gave her a nice advantage walking in the second round, and made Dean reconsider his approach. He started round two with a new found aggression, running over Thorne with a shoulder tackle. The blonde girl made it up back to her feet, but Dean was right on her and took her down with a lariat. For a second time she got up and he hit the same move. The third time wasn’t a charm since she countered the move with a flying armbar, taking Smith down on the mat again. This time though he had a counter, lifting the former [R]evo tag team champion and dropping her down with a one armed powerbomb. The rest of the round flowed with some back and forth action. Worth mentioning a running ddt from Thorne around the four minutes mark. Judges Scores: Kirilenko: Smith 10-9 Dyson: Smith 10-9 Valero: Smith 10-9 Third Round: The third and last round started off with Smith clearly favoring his right arm, the one Tobie locked twice in her armbar. This translated into less strength in every blow and a dangerous big target on that limb, making it an easy target for the Frenchie’s offense. He broke it with the front kick he calls Down with the Door, creating some space between him and his opponent. Tobie quickly recovered and charged at him, taking him down with a hurricanrana and positioning herself in a side control position, applying the Americana Lock that gave her a quick win last friday. And she did, applying some pressure on the right arm. Dean screamed in pain but refused to tap out, somehow breaking through the submission. He fought the rest of the match basically with one arm, basing his attacks on his kicks and knee strikes. Tobie soon found herself against the corner, almost helpless against Dean’s relentless offense. He hit her with everything he got, knees to the jaw, left punches and even a headbutt that reopened the cut above his eye. Tobie fell on the mat, but refused to stay down, making it back on all fours before being knocked down again by a running knee from Dean. She stood up once again, finding an opening for a comeback with an enziguri. But the time was over, and both contenders stood in front of the judges waiting for their scores. Judges Scores Kirilenko: Smith 10-9 Dyson: Smith 10-9 Valero: 10-9 WINNER: Dean Smith BY: Decision, Round 3; 5:00 |
Zackary Dyson: "Damn, this was a close one"
Alyx Valero: "Dean has been impressive in Riot so far, but Tobie really took him to the limit."
Zackary Dyson: "Damn right she did! And let me tell you, that arm doesn't look good at all."
Alyx Valero: "Yeah, no doubt it's going to affect him tomorrow night as well"

We cut to Our Good Wrestling Boy, Kory Kramp, as he is walking down the Riverwalk in San Antonio. He has a scumptious looking taco in his hand and a huge Big Gulp cup from 7-11 in his other. He holds out his arms with a grin as him and the camera move together as he walks.
Kory Kramp:
Millennium is in for a treat tonight! Two undefeated boys stepping into the ring together. Two boys who have known nothing but success but now one will face the cruel mistress called... Failure. That is pretty heavy stuff but it also makes for a thrilling contest too.
Kory takes a sip from his tasty beverage and stops for a second to take in the view of the water below.
Kory Kramp:
Dusty is a big, bad boy though so I am assuming everyone thinks his Murder Train will run me down and it very well could but I am always the smaller guy facing an uphill battle so I will take Dusty on without backing down. He is a cocky guy who thinks he can toss me around and beat me without an issue... But can he? That is the real question here. I am ready for him and while he wants to talk smack, I am going to just prepare myself for some hard hits and come up with a plan to take him down. He can only hit me if he can catch me remember.
Kory thinks about it for a second, thinking back at some of the matches he has seen Dusty in and shuddering a bit. He then starts to walk again down the river.
Kory Kramp:
So you may see the Human Fly get swatted and squished tonight. Dusty may do what he is planning on doing OR you may see an upset. Never count me out because once you do that is when I really surprise you. Two undefeated boys... One match... Only one boy walks out undefeated and I am sure as heck hoping it's your Good Wrestling Boy, Kory Kramp. In the end though Dusty seems like a decent guy and I hope he isn't too sour about losing. If he beats me more power to him but that is a big "if" right there. Either way we already got the show stolen and the fans are gonna get their moneys worth when Dusty and Kory step into the ring together. San Antonio is in for a real treat tonight!
Kory takes a big bite from the taco in his hand, nodding his head in approval. He then gives a thumbs up before turning and heading over a bridge to continue his San Antonio adventure. The camera follows him for a moment before he walks out of sight and it fades away.
Singles Match
Dusty Douglas VS Kory KrampIn the most classic David vs Goliath the Human Fly Kory Kramp found himself face to face against the Murder Train, the undefeated Dusty Douglas. The size difference between the two competitors was impressive, with the 35 years old rookie being 150 lbs heavier and over a foot taller. Nonetheless, Kory started fearless, charging at Dusty and attacking him with some forearm strikes that seemed to barely affect the bigger man. Douglas shoved him away and quickly ran at him, turning him inside out with a devastating clothesline. He picked Kramp up and after a overhand chop, whipped him in the corner and squashed him with a corner splash. The Big Nasty was showing no mercy towards the younger opponent, attacking him with his palm strikes and ending the sequence with a savate kick, hooking the leg for the first pinfall of the match and only getting a two count. He then picked him up, but Kory surprised him with a chin breaker, following with a superkick. Dusty wobbled but he didn’t fell. The Human Fly glanced at him, running in the opposite direction and hitting the ropes to gain momentum to hit him with a shotgun. Douglas rolled out of the ring, giving Kory the chance to show part of his high flying repertoire, as he launched between the ropes and planted the 35 years old rookie on his head with a suicide dive into a DDT. The fight moved once again back in the ring after Dusty powerbombed Kory on the apron and rolled him under the bottom rope. Douglas was now throwing him around like a rag doll, first with a belly to back suplex, then catching him with a Samoan Drop. Kory kicked out from another pinning predicament, but Dustin was still on him, grabbing his wrist and whipping him against the ropes, picking him up for a sidewalk slam countered into a satellite ddt. The fans’ support was giving Kory the extra boost of energy to try and build some momentum. He brought the fight to the bigger opponent with some forearm shots and kicks to the leg, eventually taking Dusty to his knees and charging at him with a shining wizard. With Dustin down, Kramp went for a springboard moonsault, trying for his first cover, from which Douglas kicked out in two. Back and forth action lead us to the final part of the match, where Dusty caught the diving crossbody attempt and turned it into a backbreaker, turning things around. The fans jumped on their feet when Kory countered a pop up powerbomb with his Kramped (Codebreaker), ready to witness the end of the streak. But The Murder Train lifted a shoulder just before the three, keeping the match alive. Kramp looked at him in disbelief, planning his next move. A quick glance at the corner gave out exactly what he was planning to do. The young wrestler climbed to the top rope, ready to jump with his Human Fly finishing move. A slight hesitation gave Dusty the chance to push the referee against the ropes, causing Kory to lose his footing, landing with his crotch on top of the turnbuckle. Dusty picked him up with a muscle buster and dropped him right in the center of the ring, locking him into the Dusty Finish (Anaconda Vice). Kory struggled to break the submission, but eventually he had no choice but to tap out. WINNER: Dusty Douglas BY: Submission (Dusty Finish), 10:51 |
Jared Idol: "The Murder Train doesn't stop in San Antonio! The Streak is still alive!"
Bea Torres: "He's... what now? 9-0?"
Jared Idol: "10-0. This is his tenth match in Millennium and his tenth win."
Bea Torres: "Kudos to Kory, he fought hard but it just wasn't enough!"
Jared Idol: "The size disadvantage was just too much... Looks like David can't always beat Goliath after all."

The scene cut backstage to Corey Grimes standing near the gorilla position backstage, anticipating his high profiled match with Megan Rydell. He glances over at the camera and he looks a bit more serious than his usual demeanor.
Corey Grimes:
Tonight is a big night. Megan Rydell has been dodging me for weeks and I finally got her to agree to this match. Tonight? I prove that I am the better competitor, the better wrestler.
Corey steps forward and keeps his eyes on the camera.
Corey Grimes:
Meg might think that she’s going to rise to the top of this company but she couldn’t be more wrong. It’s me who’s going to rise to the top. I’m going to make damn sure that I’m the face of Millennium. I’m not longer a rising star like I was back in RSR, I’m a proven and legitimate top guy. And tonight? I prove that against a top talent like Megan. Because while I know I’m better than her, I also know that she’s going to do whatever it takes to win out there.
He nods.
Corey Grimes:
But here’s the thing, with it being an anything goes match? I too will do whatever it takes. Megan is going to get everything that I got and I’m going to show the world that she doesn’t have the endurance to last in the ring like I do. See you all out there.
Corey turns from the camera and the scene cuts away.
Singles Match
Invictus Championship Semifinal
Cole Gregory VS Brendan CallaghanInvictus Championship Semifinal
The second match to determine who will fight against Dean Smith on night two saw Cole Gregory facing once again Brendan Callaghan, one month after their first encounter in South Dakota, in the inaugural episode of Riot. Back then, it was Cole Gregory who came out victorious in two rounds, but this time, the stakes were much higher. First Round Brendan came out of the gate showing an unexpected aggression, jumping on Cole and taking him down with a Lou Thesz press, dropping a few punches and elbows to the face. Gregory managed to react from the grounded position, hitting Callaghan with a straight punch to the jaw that rocked the Bostonian allowing Cole to apply a triangle choke. Brendan managed to break it with some desperate forearm shots, and the two wrestlers made it back to their feet. As Captain Liberty was catching his breath, Gregory charged at him with a clothesline that Brendan was able to duck it at the very last moment, thanks to Jade’s warning. Cole furthered his run and hit the ropes, coming back right into Brendan’s arms. He lifted him and dropped him on the canvas with a delayed spinebuster, following with a Giant Swing. The move left them both dizzy, but it was Nathan’s son who recovered first and knocked Cole down with a discus forearm. The bell then rang, signaling the end of the first round. Judges Scores: Kirilenko: Callaghan 10-8 Dyson: Callaghan 10-8 Valero: Callaghan 10-8 Second Round Brendan and his manager welcomed with a satisfied smile the judges verdict, While Cole was, obviously, unhappy with his performance. And he was determined to turn things around in this second round, but always with a careful approach, aware of how dangerous Brendan could be. His kicks to the leg resulted quite effective to keep the opponent at bay, offering Cole the opening for a running knee when Brendan had to drop on his knee after a stiff kick to the left thigh. Brendan got back to his feet, wiping some blood away from his split lips and locking up with Cole in a test of strength, quickly interrupted when Callaghan himself raised his knee to the opponent’s chest, following with a couple more before lifting him for a running powerbomb on the turnbuckle. Cole’s head bounced against the corner, and the referee quickly went to check if he was fit to continue. The young man was already getting back to his feet, and he even had the reflexes to lift his foot to counter Brendan’s charge. On the following spinning heel kick, the second round ended. Judges Scores: Kirilenko: Gregory 10-9 Dyson: Gregory 10-9 Valero: Gregory 10-9 Final Round Five minutes separate one of these two men from their shot at the Invictus Championship. The tension is visible on the face of both opponent, and translates on a very cautious approach, especially from Brendan who had a slight advantage coming from the dominant performance in the first round. Cole knew it as well, but he didn’t let this affect him, keeping his cool and sticking to his game plan based on quick strikes. Brendan was somehow able to block one of those kicks, but before he could try anything at all, Cole stunned him with an Enziguri, and without wasting a second, locked him in his Cole-Lapse (Bridging Arm Triangle Chokehold). Callaghan struggled but, despite Jade begging him not to tap out, he had no chance but to give up. WINNER: Cole Gregory BY: Submission (The Cole-Lapse), Round 3; 2:59 |
Zackary Dyson: "He did it again, he beat Brendan Callaghan again!"
Alyx Valero: "It's Gregory vs Smith II tomorrow night! And for the Invictus Championship!"
Zackary Dyson: "Last time these two tore the house down... I'm sure tomorrow night will be no different."
Alyx Valero: "Man... I can't wait to see them trying to kill each other again."

We cut backstage to the catering area, deep inside the AT&T Center. The camera reveals Olivia Wythe and Levi the Baby K standing around, it seems that Levi can't exactly decide on what to get from catering tonight. Considering this is their very first pay-per-view, they're probably overwhelmed with the options in front of them. Olivia stands there, arms crossed as she waits impatiently for her partner to figure it out.
Levi the Baby K:
Oh my GOSH, Liv! They have waffles here, can you believe it?
Olivia rolls her eyes, tapping her foot in annoyance.
Olivia Wythe:
Yeah, man, that's great. Waffles.
Levi looks up from her plate, stacked to the brim with all sorts of food and treats. She carefully sets the plate down, as to not spill any of its content on the floor. Levi looks around the room, checking to make sure nobody is there. The coast is clear, so she turns her attention towards her best friend.
Levi the Baby K:
Ollie, is everything okay? Are you mad at me?
Olivia huffs in frustration, uncrossing her arms. She reaches over to a nearby station, grabbing a handful of bacon as she quickly shovels it into her mouth. She begins to speak, but with the food in her mouth its hard to hear what she is saying.
Olivia Wythe:
*muffled food noises*
Levi leans closer, confused.
Levi the Baby K:
Um, what? Ollie, it's hard to hear what you're saying. You shouldn't eat with your mouth open, that's very rude!
Olivia tries to speak again, chewing some more as she does.
Olivia Wythe:
*desperate attempt at talking with food in mouth*
Olivia coughs, choking and spitting out the food in her mouth. Luckily, Levi has perfect reflexes and is able to dodge the flying food particles. Olivia sucks in a big breath of air, she seems to be okay. Save for the embarrassment that just fell upon her. Levi comes over to pat her best friend on the back, helping her recover from that terrible incident. Olivia looks up at Levi, and nods.
Olivia Wythe:
...I'm good, I'm good. Thanks Levi.
Levi the Baby K:
So, what's the deal? Why so moody? You only eat like that when you're like, super nervous or something.
Olivia stares blankly at Levi, for just a moment.
Olivia Wythe:
Yeah, well Levi I'm pretty nervous. Don't you feel nervous? This is our first pay-per-view, there's no telling how many people this is going out to tonight! And we're wrestling in front of our hometown crowd!
Levi quickly chimes in.
Levi the Baby K:
Well, not really our hometown crowd. Like, we both weren't born here, just kinda went to school here and -
Olivia Wythe:
That isn't the point!
Olivia waves her hands, trying to clear the scene of any and all distractions currently invading her thoughts.
Olivia Wythe:
Look, we have a chance to do something really cool out there. I don't know if you've noticed, but we got some tough opponents tonight. Our time here in Millennium has always been tough, but we've always managed to try our very best.
Levi nods, smiling as she does.
Levi the Baby K:
Our very, very best!
Olivia Wythe:
We need to be at the top of our game tonight because I want to win! These guys are legit, Levi. In fact, they're too legit, if you ask me.
Levi the Baby K:
Too legit to quit?
Olivia slowly nods, the seriousness of the situation quickly falling onto Levi's shoulders. She straightens up, and snaps to attention!
Levi the Baby K:
You can count on me, Olivia!
Levi says, throwing up a salute towards her partner. Olivia smiles, and the two perform a secret handshake that only they know about. It looks complicated, so I'm really not going to describe it. There's a lot of moving parts, and it's kinda long.
Olivia Wythe:
Come on, kiddo! Eat up, we need our fuel for tonight if we're going to win this thing!
With that, the team is on the same page. The two go back to the catering set-up, picking through the food that they want to devour before their match.
Singles Match
Hammerstein VS Bethany DriverWhen the bell rang, Hammerstein stepped to the center of the ring and invited Driver to engage in a collar and elbow tie up. As soon as they locked up, Hammerstein shoved her down, showing off his obvious size and strength advantage. The opening few minutes of the match saw The American Monster playing a power-based game of cat and mouse with Bethany, using various suplexes he calls Hammerplexes and throws that were not designed necessarily to hurt her so much as to intimidate her. At one point, Hammerstein bullied Driver into the corner, grabbed her throat in his right hand and her armpit in his left, and beeled her across the ring. Hammerstein climbed to the middle turnbuckle, facing the crowd, and gloated, taunting the fans as well as Charles Noble, Bethany’s manager. While The American Monster gloated, Driver had popped up almost as soon as she hit the mat. She casually strolled across the ring towards Hammerstein as he climbed down to the mat. When he turned around, he was nearly nose to nose with Driver, who asked him “Is that all you've got?” This infuriated The American Monster, who charged Bethany. Driver countered with a deep armdrag that sent him tumbling across the ring. Hammerstein quickly got to his feet in the corner, but ate a running corner dropkick from the Denver native. Driver spent several minutes frustrating and hurting Hammerstein with a combination of ducking and dodging his strikes, while landing her own with pinpoint accuracy. A bicycle kick sent Hammerstein into the corner. Driver went to the opposite and readied herself before yelling “MURDERGRAPS!” and charging at her opponent. A brutal Hammerstein right hook to the jaw dropped Bethany in mid-stride. The American Monster shook off the damage done and smiled knowing he was about to inflict some damage of his own. And inflict damage he did. Hammerstein unleashed a barrage of high impact moves designed to grind Bethany down to the point that she would be easy to finish. Hammerstein could have had her after trapping both arms, hitting her with five rapid fire headbutts, then taking her over with a Double Armtrap Hammerplex. Instead of pinning Bethany, however, he opted to pull her up at the two count. Hammerstein picked a dazed Driver up and bodyslammed her hard to the mat. Jacob climbed to the top turnbuckle and launched himself for a flying headbutt, but Bethany moved at the last moment, making Hammerstein crash headfirst into the mat. Driver got to her feet and as The American Monster got to his knees, she leveled him with the MurderGraps Drive-by basement running kneestrike. The crowd was on their feet as Driver pulled Hammerstein up and went for The B-A-DDT, but the wily rulebreaker broke the double underhooks, and shoved Bethany into the East/West ropes. He hit the North/South ropes and smashed into her with The POUNCE. Bethany flew into the ropes, getting entangled in them. Hammerstein pulled her off the ropes, picked her up, and dropped her on her head with The Hammersteiner. The crowd was silent as Hammerstein went for the cover, but exploded when Bethany rolled the right shoulder just before the three count. The American Monster sat on his knees, holding up three fingers to the referee. As Hammerstein went back and forth with the referee, Bethany rolled over onto her stomach. Hammerstein's disbelief turned to anger and he knelt over Bethany's back. He grabbed a handful of her hair and pulled her head back. He cupped her chin in his left hand and hit several cross-face forearm smashes, one after another. Blood began to drip from Bethany's nose and mouth as Hammerstein pulled her barely conscious body up and drilled her with a second Hammersteiner, this time with more force than the first. Hammerstein hooked Driver's neck and right leg to secure the pin. Hammerstein rolled off her to his knees and looked down on her, grinning and shaking his head at the fact that it took two Hammersteiners to keep her down. Hammerstein rolled under the bottom rope and made his way up the ramp, taunting the fans as he went. WINNER: Hammerstein BY: Pinfall (Hammersteiner), 11:47 |
Jared Idol: "What a match!"
Bea Torres: "Ugh that Hammerstein is such a douche..."
Jared Idol: "He's not out here to make friends, that's for sure"
Bea Torres: "I'm worried about Beth.. Is she ok?"
Bea Torres: "Ugh that Hammerstein is such a douche..."
Jared Idol: "He's not out here to make friends, that's for sure"
Bea Torres: "I'm worried about Beth.. Is she ok?"
Once Hammerstein had made his triumphant exit, a pair of trainers slid into the ring to assist the referee in trying to help Bethany to her feet. Driver shook her head once, and then waved them off firmly, refusing the assistance. She found the ropes, pulling herself up, stopping as she got to a knee to try and wipe the blood from her nose and mouth.
Looking uncomfortable, Bethany’s manager, Charles Noble, finally climbed the steps into the ring and tried to help her himself. But Driver once again refused the help. She pushed to her feet at last, still holding on the ropes, leaning on them. After a moment, applause broke out in the crowd, turning to a huge pop as the San Antonio audience was won over by her determination. She held one hand up, still leaning on the ropes, in acknowledgement.
Finally she ducked out onto the apron and then dropped down onto the floor below. She made it up the ramp under her own power, wavering once on the stage and at last allowing Charles to aid her in getting the rest of the way backstage.
Tag Team Match
The Mighty Now Thrive VS Olivia Wythe & Levi
First Pay-Per-View appearance for Olivia Wythe and Levi, who had to sit on the sidelines at Imperium. The Mighty Now Thrive instead walked out with a precious win from the Trios match against the N.E.W, World at the Washington supershow. But ever since then, the two teams found opposite fortunes, with Null and Kid Terra ending up on a losing streak while Levi & Wythe had been quite impressive, with two wins against High Score Heroes and the odd couple of Hooke and Wiley, only coming up short against the number one contenders for the MWE Tag Team Titles. Kid Terra started things off against Levi, in what turned out to be a very fast paced contest from the get-go. The Baby K reversed an irish whip. sending KT against the ropes, leaping over him when he a came back the first time, meeting him with a dropkick after he bounced back again. Her following standing moonsault attempt found Kid’s knees raised in protection, and the TMNT member tried to capitalize on it with a quick roll up from which Levi kicked out in two. Terra Kid shoved her in his team’s corner, giving the tag to his partner and calling for the Victory Lap, a series of alternate clotheslines in the corner. At the end of it, the wolf boy climbed to the top rope, waiting for Levi to get back on her feet and dove over her head, taking her down with a blockbuster and hooking the leg for another cover. but once again the hometown girl raised her shoulder. The Might Now Thrive were working like a well oiled machine tonight, with frequent tags and some double team move, including the Dial The Phone (a double 619) with which they almost got the win, if it wasn’t for Olivia making the save. But despite the dominance, Levi was able to create herself an opening by landing on her feet after a monkey flip and diving toward her corner, where Olivia was waiting for the tag. And she came into the ring to a huge pop from the fans, charging full head of steam at Null, breaking him in half with a spear. Wythe was on fire tonight, picking the Big Wolf On Campus up and powerslamming him on the mat. She gained momentum against the ropes and jumped, driving her knee to his skull and going for a cover, broken up by Terra Kid. Olivia immediately took it to the “human” half of TMNT, greeting him with a couple of forearms to the jaw before whipping him against the ropes and catching him with a spinebuster, making him regret having stepped into the ring. But the legal man was still Null, who tried to capitalize with a backstabber, followed by a shooting star press from the top rope. Levi broke the pin, allowing the match to continue. With all four competitors in the ring at the same time and the referee unable to restore order, things became chaotic. Levi had Null in a corner, and she was kicking the hell out of him. In the opposite one, Olivia was playing drums on Kid’s chest with some heavy chops. The two best friends exchanged a quick look at each other and whipped the opponents towards the opposite corners, making them inevitably crash in the middle of the ring and grabbing them both with a stereo german suplex. Kid Terra rolled out of the ring, and Levi quickly launched herself between the ropes taking him out with her KND (suicide dive), leaving the two legal men inside the ring. It was a child’s play for Olivia to catch him with her Princess’ Cut, the arm-trap cutter that gave her team the win in front of their fans here in San Antonio. WINNER: Olivia Wythe & Levi BY: Pinfall (Princess’ Cut), 10:33 |
Alyx Valero: "Listen to these fans, Zacky!"
Zackary Dyson: "Yeah, they're all on their feet for the hometown heroes, Olivia and Levi!"
Alyx Valero: "Man, we had the chance to see them in action a couple of times on Riot and let me tell you... They keep getting better week after week!"
Zackary Dyson: "They are definitely a tag team you want to keep your eyes on. And I'm curious to see how they'll do as singles competitors in the Junior Heavyweight Tournament."
Alyx Valero: "Nice plug-in bud, well played. I guess that if you want to find out, all you have to do is tune in on Riot next Friday!"

The scene cuts backstage to Megan Rydell in her locker room. She’s staring at a mirror in front of her, staring at herself as several thoughts go through her mind. She doesn’t pay any mind to the camera as she begins to speak.
Megan Rydell:
It’s funny, isn’t it? Grimes versus Rydell? This isn’t the first time this has happened, no, back in NGW about three years ago, Kenzie fought Gavin for the NGW Undisputed Championship in a TLC match. Despite getting outside help, Kenzie still failed against Gavin.
Megan pulls out a stick of red lipstick and she writes the name Rydell on top of the mirror and then writes the name Grimes at the bottom.
Megan Rydell:
A lot of people think that history is going to repeat itself. They believe that the Rydell’s can’t cut it when it comes to the Grimes family but guess what? I’ve beaten Gavin and I’ve beaten Corey as well.
Singles Match
No Holds Barred
Megan Rydell VS Corey Grimes
A collar-and-elbow tie up starts off the match, but the two immediately take advantage of the No Holds Barred rules as they tumble out of the ring. As they stand up, Corey Grimes grabs Meg Rydell head and bounces it off the apron. But Meg recovers quickly as she pushes Corey back before kicking him right across his chest. With Grimes backed up against the apron, Rydell unleashes a series of stiff kicks that redden Grimes’ chest. She steps back, building momentum for a stronger kick, but as Meg throws her leg up, Corey catches it and lifts her up, slamming her right onto the apron! Corey begins to take control as he drags Meg up by her hair and throws her into the ringside barrier. Corey trash talks Meg as her picks her up, throwing her into the ring post. With Meg on the ground trying to recover, Grimes uses the time to start digging underneath the ring for some kind of weapon, but he’s cut off as Rydell brings him down with a chop block. Kneeling, Coreys in a bad spot as Meg nearly knocks him out with a facebreaker knee smash.Rydell drops to make the cover on the outside but Corey kicks out after two. The sudden impact of the move nearly sealed Coreys fate, but he was just able to get a shoulder up much to Megs dismay. Rydell lifts Grimes up, but he gets a burst of energy as he charges and rams Meg into the barricade yet again. Its enough to give him some breathing room as he takes a second to recover before charging in yet again with a running knee to Megs midsection. Corey puts her down and starts stomping Meg, showing a more hardcore side that the Millennium fans haven’t seen before. Picking her up, Grimes throws Rydell onto the entrance ramp with a vertical suplex. A knee to the stomach keeps Meg in Corey’s control as he keeps bringing her up the stage. Though Rydell begins fighting back with some stiff punches, allowing her to get some fight in as the two end up brawling into backstage area. Corey tries throwing Meg into a production crate, but with her agility, she manages to leap up and turn around quick enough to leap off with a hurricanrana. She hits a back senton on the downed Grimes and makes a cover, but only gets a two out of it. A well aimed knee drop to Grimess face wears him down before Rydell picks him back up and slams his head onto a crate. She tries pulling the dazed Corey back to the entrance, but he fights back and throws Meg right into the wall. A hard European uppercut stuns Meg long enough for Corey to pull her in for the cutter from out of nowhere that drops Rydell to the floor. Corey pins Rydell but he only gets a two count as the younger Rydell gets her shoulder up. Not wasting a moment, Corey gets right back up, and tries applying a cross face, but Meg is able to wake up and scramble free. A kick to Grimes’ face allows Megan to get up and she grabs a catering tray and slams it over Corey’s face. Corey drops to his and and knees and Meg slams it over his back. Meg tries for a quick cover to just get a two count. As she goes to lift him up, Grimes throws a forearm shot at Rydell before Corey pulls her back to the entrance way before he throws her down the ramp. Waiting for his moment, he charges in with a double leg takedown, and slams Meg onto the ramp with force. He tries turning it into a pin, but gets a two out of it. Having used the environment all throughout the match, Corey doesnt stop once they get back ringside and he whips Meg into the steel steps. As they break apart, Grimes lifts Rydell up into a powerbomb position, but shes able to float over and turn it into a DDT onto the steps! Meg makes the pin somehow, Corey kicks out almost immediately after the two count and is back on his feet! Meg cant react as Corey hits her with a suplex onto the steel steps. But instead of going for the pin, Grimes rolls Rydell back into the ring and puts the steel steps in next. Climbing in, Corey plants a boot to Megs midsection to keep her down as he positions the steps as he wants. Dragging Rydell up by her hair, Grimes pulls her over to the corner where he perches himself on the top. He starts lifting her up, looking for an avalanche powerbomb this time, but Meg counters it with a frankensteiner! Landing right onto the steel again, Corey gets up in pain, but hes not ready as Meg swoops in and hits Corey with the Beautiful Disaster (Lifted DDT) right onto the steel steps! Corey is completely knocked out as Megan pins him and gets the three count, giving her the win. WINNER: Megan Rydell BY: Pinfall (Beautiful Disaster), 11:53 |
Jared Idol: "Just like she said, history didn't repeat itself tonight"
Bea Torres: "Someone should check on Corey, he hasn't moved ever since that DDT"
Jared Idol: "He'll be fine, the kid is tough. His pride is probably hurting more than his head right now."
The camera fades in. By now, the fans of Millennium have likely grown accustomed to seeing all of The Happy Few together. But this time, only NEON appears on the screen. Pale light shines down on her black pants suit. Her opened jackets reveals white shirt and loose purple tie.
NEON:

She places her hands in pockets before she continues on.
NEON:

There’s a small pause.
NEON:

June Oikawa:

OMI:

June notices the camera.
June Oikawa:
Have you been speaking to the media? I could have handled it for you.
NEON cracks her knuckles.
NEON:
Do not worry. It is done.
NEON puts her hand over OMI’s shoulder as they begin to walk off. The camera rests on June for a moment before it fades out.
Singles Match
The Misery VS Kelsey Spencer
After last Millennium’s segment between The Misery and The Uncanny Socialites, it was decided that The Misery would battle each member on each night of Deep in the Heart. First up, he would find himself toe to toe with the happy-go-lucky Kelsey Spencer, with her partner Rebecca Saint at ringside. Though tonight, with the stipulations so high, Kelsey wasn’t acting as quite her usual self. She still embraced the support of the fans, but there was a certain fire in her eyes that told the world she wasn’t playing any games tonight. The Misery, with The Manic in his corner, didn’t appear fazed by Kelsey’s confidence. As the bell rung, the two competitors found themselves in the centre of the ring, competing in an intense staredown. At around the thirty second mark, The Misery extended a hand towards Spencer in what bizarrely looked like a manner of good sportsmanship. Kelsey took her time staring at the covered hand, then hesitantly nodded towards her foe and accepted the shake. What happened next nobody could have predicted, as The Misery fell to his knees, shouting in agonizing pain as Kelsey, and Rebecca both watched in shock. It didn’t take long for The Misery to tap his free palm against the mat three times. The bell sounded, and Kelsey let go as she was declared the victor. The Misery writhed around on the canvas, clutching his “sore” wrist. Kelsey stepped back with a frown, confusion her only shown emotion. WINNER: Kelsey Spencer BY: Submission (Handshake), 0:02 |
Alyx Valero: "What the fuck???"
Suddenly, The Misery stands up and is no longer complaining about his hand. He appears to be completely fine and uninjured. Kelsey, for her part, was completely confused. It didn't even sink in that she'd just won the match via a handshake, she just couldn't wrap her mind around the sudden change in attitude. She looked down at her open palm with a dumbfounded expression, wondering if she actually does possess a handshake so crushing that it could force a grown man to submit.
But, as she looks up, she quickly discovers it wasn't the case. She frowns with disappointment as she watches The Misery call for a microphone. His wish is granted and he raises it to his covered lips.
The Misery:
So The Misery must reveal a piece of information about himself now, is that correct? That is what we decided upon, yes? Trick question. No, it was The Misery who decided upon this. Because the two of you must remember, you are playing his game.
Rebecca does not seem as angered by this trick as Kelsey is. Regardless of how the match ended, Kelsey is technically the winner, meaning The Misery needs to reveal a clue to his identity. She grabs a microphone of her own and stands up on the apron.
Rebecca Saint:
Enough stalling. I don’t have the patience for your damn games any longer. The information… Spit it out.
The Misery:
So be it. You want to know something about The Misery? Fine.
The Misery takes his time to rotate on the spot, watching the audience as they all sit and wait to catch a glimpse into who The Misery once was.
The Misery:
The Misery… once had ketchup on his hotdog instead of mustard.
The filthy look on Rebecca’s face tells the whole story. She is not happy. Instead of raising the mic and giving him a tongue lashing she simply leans on the top rope and shakes her head with disdain.
Though The Misery’s face is masked, anybody could guess that there would be a smirk plastered across it, cheek to cheek. He exits the ring and takes The Manic’s forearm. Together they walk up the ramp and to the backstage area as Rebecca tries to cheer Kelsey up, who is disappointed that she did not get a proper match tonight… All the while, Rebecca’s mind remains on the upcoming match she faces against The Misery tomorrow night.
Singles Match
Duke Andrews VS SEROTen days ago in New Orleans Duke scored a pinfall on the leader of The Few, securing the win for his team in that trio match. The circumstances leading to that win, the low blow that allowed Andrews to connect his Andrews’ Effect was something SERO couldn’t get over, and he was out here to tonight to get payback. The Iron Rougarou Champion was determined and focused as ever, cold and methodical in his offense heavily relying on direct strikes. Duke didn’t shy away from the fight, holding his ground against the japanese wrestler when it came down to striking ability. The fans were loving the sight of the two men trading blows in the middle of the ring, hitting each other with chops, punches, kicks and everything in between, including a headbutt from Andrews that stunned SERO, allowing Michigan’s favorite son to come out on top of this first exchange, knocking the leader of The Few down with a clothesline. SERO popped up back on his feet, finding himself on the receiving hand of yet another clothesline. When Andrews went for a third one, The japanese ducked it and moved behind his back, quickly catching him with a snap Tiger suplex. SERO was trying to build some momentum, attacking Andrews with a combination of forearm shots and kicks, the last one of which was a roundhouse kick that sent Duke in the corner. That didn’t stop the leader of The Few, who kept his relentless attack going with a running jumping high knee. He then lifted Duke on top of the turnbuckle, climbing on the middle rope and hooking his arms in a butterfly position, setting him up for the Hakka No Togame, his patented top rope tiger driver. Duke desperately fought against it, managing to free himself and connecting a few forearm shots, knocking SERO down on the mat. Duke stood up on the top rope ready to jump for a double axe handle, but the japanese was quicker, reaching him on top once again and connecting a belly to belly suplex. Andrews kicked out of a pinning predicament after a brainbuster from SERO, finding himself once again on the receiving end of his quick fire kicks. This time the veteran was able to block one of them and take the leader of the few down with a dragon screw leg whip, immediately starting to stomp the knee in an attempt to take out one of the opponent’s most dangerous weapons. As soon as the Youngbloods Iron Rougarou champion got back on his feet, Duke welcomed him with with a series of straight lefts and rights, following with a kick to that same right leg and a back elbow smash, ending the sequence with a roaring Lariat that sent SERO staggering a few steps back, hitting the ropes and bouncing back right into the Crossroads. After hitting his patented Leg Hook Reverse STO, Duke smiled and went for a pinfall attempt, underestimating the resistance of the leader of The Few who kicked out before the three count. SERO turned things around once again when he slipped away from a suplex attempt and immediately went for a spinning backfist to the back of Duke’s head, taking him down on his knees. He moved in front of him and relentlessly started kicking him on the chest aiming the last kick a little higher and catching Duke right on the side of the head. With the opponent motionless on the mat, SERO attempted another cover, but only got a two count out of it. Andrews still had some fuel in his tank, Right when SERO had him up in a powerbomb position, ready for his Kurohitsugi, Duke fought back with a series of punches to the top of the head, eventually slipping away and connecting with a jumping knee strike that stunned the leader of The Few. Andrew took a few steps back and charged at him with a bicycle kick, attempting another cover and obtaining another two. Duke had now the opponent where he wanted. He waited for him to start getting up and hit his Killshot (V-Trigger). All he had to do now was to go for the Andrews Effect to get what many would consider an upset victory. And that he did. The biggest upset though was that SERO refused to stay down and kicked out of Duke’s best shot. Andrews stared at the referee in disbelief, giving the opponent a few moments to recover before picking him up and striking with a series of chops, sending the japanese wrestler against the ropes. The Panther king ducked the clothesline and came back with a high knee that stunned Andrews, catching him with a dragon suplex right after. Duke got back on his feet and walked right into a flurry of kicks from SERO, the last of which caught him right to the temple and left him stunned. PANTERA set him up for his Tenchi Kaijin (Bloody Cross) that gave him an hard fought win against a tough opponent. WINNER: SERO BY: Pinfall (Tenchi Kaijin), 14:38 |
Jared Idol: "Duke proved himself to be tough as nails, but in the end SERO was able to keep him down."
Bea Torres: "A hard fought battle that saw the Youngbloods Iron Rougarou champion getting his payback on Michigan's favorite son"
Jared Idol: "Aye. A great performance from Andrews against one of the very best Millennium has to offer."
Bea Torres: "I doubt this would be of any consolation for Duke..."
A camera finds Selina Metzger sat on a crate somewhere backstage at the AT&T Center, with her head bowed, in a pensive mood. Selina is dressed in her ring attire, ready for her forthcoming match for the Lockdown Championship, and she raises her head to look at the camera.
Selina Metzger:
Here we are then. Deep In The Heart. The biggest two nights so far in the growing history of Millennium Wrestling, with so much at stake today and tomorrow, and for me, there’s no match this weekend more important than the Lockdown Championship match. I asked for one more shot at the Lockdown Championship, and much to Luna’s annoyance, I was granted it. Now tonight, I have a chance to put right what happened last month at Imperium, and finally claim the title that should’ve been mine several weeks ago, at least.
There is a very brief pause, following which, Selina continues.
Selina Metzger:
Other people might have whined and moaned about what happened at Imperium, if they had been in my shoes, but not once have I complained - unlike Luna, who has done plenty of complaining in the past few weeks.
Something resembling a smirk appears on her face.
Selina Metzger:
While I didn’t like the way that Luna was able to retain the Lockdown Championship at Imperium, I knew what the rules of the match were heading into it, and she certainly exploited those rules to the fullest. And with our match tonight again being contested under Luna’s “Fifteen Minutes Of Stardom” rules, some people may wonder, “Why will things be any different this time?”
With a more sincere smile now on her face, Selina gives a slight shrug.
Selina Metzger:
If Luna manages to frustrate me for another fifteen minutes, and is able to again hold me to a time limit draw - or if she manages to do the unthinkable, and is actually able to beat me - then I will accept defeat in my attempts to become the Lockdown Champion, and I’ll move on to something else, whatever that might be. Maybe I might even head on over to Riot, like she suggested I should.
Selina is referring to a comment that Luna made prior to their match at Imperium.
Selina Metzger:
Tonight is going to be different though. Luna has tried to claim that I’m not worthy of the Lockdown Championship, but I believe that I am, and crucially, so too does Gianluigi Vaccaro. Since being appointed the General Manager of Millennium, he has shown a lot of faith in me, and tonight, I’m going to show that faith of his isn’t misguided. I won’t be expecting champagne from him after I win, or any of the other items that Luna has demanded - if anything, I feel like I probably ought to send him something, to show my gratitude for his confidence in me.
Selina’s smile then leaves her face, and she lets out a sigh, as something else crosses her mind.
Selina Metzger:
Something that I feel I need to address are Luna’s accusations that I use performance enhancing drugs.
She leans forward, gripping the edge of the crate with her hands.
Selina Metzger:
I don’t mind admitting that some parts of my body aren’t what I guess you would refer to as natural.
Selina lowers her eyes towards her chest, before quickly looking back up at the camera.
Selina Metzger:
But these--
She then raises her arms and flexes both of her biceps.
Selina Metzger:
Are not chemically enhanced. I have worked my butt off, sweating and pushing my limits in the gym every single day for seven years, to build this body. I did not become Der Übermensch by popping any pills, or by injecting myself with anything, no matter what Luna may think, and if I have to, I’m willing to take a test to prove it; I don’t have anything to hide.
Selina leaps off the crate.
Selina Metzger:
I could have won the Lockdown Championship three months ago, at Deep-Six, if I had felt so inclined. I should have won the Lockdown Championship last month, at Imperium. But after tonight, there will be no could haves or should haves - I’m leaving Deep In The Heart as the new Lockdown Champion. Six and a half weeks ago, I beat Luna in under fifteen minutes in a non-title match, and tonight, with the title on the line, that’s the performance that’s going to be replicated; whether it takes nine seconds, or whether it takes fourteen minutes and fifty-nine seconds, I will be victorious.
She takes a couple of steps forward, moving closer to the camera.
Selina Metzger:
The so-called “Star of the Night” is about to burn out, as I become the new Lockdown Champion. Selina über alles.
With a confident stare on the face of Selina, the camera cuts away.
Lockdown Championship Match
15 Minutes Of Stardom
Luna(c) VS Selina Metzger15 Minutes Of Stardom
A match that became a classic, with this being the third time they had shared the ring in different fashions. The last time, Selina’s last shot at the Lockdown Championship. And the German Amazon was determined not to miss it. Perfectly aware of the championship advantage the stipulation granted Luna, and the tricks she wasn’t ashamed to pull to make it through the fifteen minutes time limit, Metzger started off strong taking the champion down with a huge clothesline. Her ground and pound offense was paying off in the first part of this match, leaving Luna no room to breath, let alone try to build some momentum. She tried to put the champion away early with a sit-out powerbomb, but Luna managed to kick out in two. The Star Of The Night eventually found her chance to turn things around with one of her dangerous Krav Maga throat strikes that left Selina breathless. She then took the powerhouse down with a spinning headscissors, sending her in the corner with a shotgun dropkick. Luna followed with a corner dropkick, climbing on the top rope and jumped on Selina, spinning and planting her head first on the mat with a tornado DDT. Her subsequent pinfall attempt only gave her a two count, as Selina put her foot on the lower rope. And now the Lockdown champion started playing with the clock, slowing down the pace with a series of rest holds, both on the ground and standing when Selina managed to make it back to her feet. The contender pushed the champion against the ropes to break free from a side headlock and raised the leg for a big boot. But Luna grabbed the ropes, stopping her momentum and leaving the ring, starting the same scene we saw in their match at Imperium. The Ubermensch chased the Lockdown Champion outside and back into the ring. Luna took her to her knees with a low dropkick and followed with a Chick kick. Selina powered out with authority from the cover, but Luna was quickly back on the attack with two knee strikes followed by an Overdrive Neckbreaker. But not even the Upgrade, that was the name of this combination, was enough to keep the challenger down. The clock signaled that we were approaching the ten minutes mark, and this put a smile appeared on Luna’s face. The champion kept hitting the challenger with her Krav Maga strikes, running to the ropes and jumping on the middle one for a springboard roundhouse kick, ducked by Metzger at the very last moment. Selina lifted the champion and dropped her on the mat with an inverted powerslam. The time became once again Selina’s worst enemy, frustration growing more and more with every time the champion kicked out from her pinfall attempts. The German woman was hitting Luna with everything she had, in an attempt to put her down before the time limit would expire. She even connected with a beautiful Exploder Suplex, realizing the mistake she made only after the champion rolled under the bottom rope. Selina rushed outside, grabbing Luna as she was trying to climb over the barricade and leave between the fans. A coward move maybe, but it would’ve allowed her to retain the title. The challenger had other plans, grabbing her and, after a forearm shot to the jaw, whipping her against the apron. Luna arched her back after the impact, visibly in pain. But despite it, she tried to climb back in the ring to get away from the German’s fury. Selina shook her head, climbing on the apron as well and blocking the Lockdown champion, dragging her back. Luna fought to free herself, landing a couple of forearm shots that seemed to rock the challenger. She was halfway inside the ring when Metzger dragged her out once again, dodging the right hook from the Star Of The Night and lifting her over her shoulders, dropping her down with the Elbe Valley Driver on the apron! The fans went crazy for the high impact move. Luna fell on the floor outside, laying there motionless. This wasn’t a problem for the powerhouse Selina, who easily picked her up and rolled her back into the ring, making the cover and finally winning the long pursued Lockdown Championship. WINNER: Selina Metzger (New Champion) BY: Pinfall (Elbe Valley Driver), 14:20 |
Alyx Valero: "New Champ!"
Zackary Dyson: "Selina finally made it! She finally beat Luna when it mattered, with the title on the line!"
Alyx Valero: "Man, that Elbe Valley Driver on the apron hurted just by looking at it!"
Zackary Dyson: "Yeah, like they say, desperate times call for desperate measures... With only 40 seconds to go, Metzger couldn't take any chance."
Water splashed on Britt’s face as she exhaled and looked in the mirror only to look shocked one moment, and mad the next. The camera pulled away just a bit to show Saki, standing behind her only a few feet with a smile on her face, head cocked to the side.
Brittany April:
What the hell are you doing here? I don’t want to play with you, and you can stay the hell away from Cassidy too. Now leave me the heck alone.
Britt approached Saki, who didn’t move. Instead, Saki was just humming some eerie tune to herself. Britt rolled her eyes and went to step past only for Saki to sway just enough to stand in her way. Becoming further frustrated Britt stepped the other way, but again Saki moved in her way, giggling. Finally, at her wits end, Britt was about to shove Saki when the maniac slapped the holy hell out of the blonde. A single slap so hard it echoed through the bathroom and had Britt holding her cheek in shock. Shock, however, was replaced in a flash by rage. Suddenly Britt lunged at Saki, fists flying as they stagger back. Saki grabs a stall door and yanks it, slamming it into Britt’s face. The door hit so hard there was a dent and Britt fell to one knee holding her aching head.
Saki:
Britty Britty, oh so Pretty
Won’t play with Saki, seems quite tacky
Britt snarls, holding her forehead.
Brittany April:
My name’s not Britty!
Once again she charges Saki and they both end up tumbling out into the hallway. Britt screams as Saki bites her hand which forces the blonde to scream as she pushes the maniac away. Once apart Saki leaps like a spider monkey to try and pounce on Britt only for security to grab them both and pull them apart. Saki laughs and bites at the air as Britt shouts back at her as they’re pulled away by security.
Backstage, Luna comes through the curtain having just lost her Lockdown Championship to Selina fair and square though the body language of the former champion disagreed she lost it anyway but.
Joining her backstage is her intern, Holly Wakefield with a variety of bottles of water of all different flavours. Luna handpicks the Elderflower one and sips it.
Luna Smith:
This isn’t right.
Holly Wakefield:
You are allowed a rematch, aren’t you?
Holly tries to phrase her question as delicately as possible not wanting to further upset Luna at the moment knowing that it was a definite possibility this could happen. Luna huffs at the idea that she had to invoke a rematch clause and sips a little bit more water before passively-aggressively slamming the bottle down on a crate beside them.
Luna Smith:
I shouldn’t have to! Selina was clearly on something and she shouldn’t have been allowed to fight me tonight. Why did Gian make this happen?!
Holly jumps slightly after Luna slams the bottle down as she shakes her head, trying to calm down her boss with a few waving motions of her hands.
Holly Wakefield:
I can try to arrange another meeting with him if you like, but he was pretty determined before that this match had to happen.
Luna Smith:
Well I think we need to properly present it to him.
She subtly indicates to Holly to start getting a list together with just a look.
Luna Smith:
Make sure you build a presentation for him since he’s a business man, of the pros and cons of having me as champion, the cons are obviously for Selina being the champion.
Holly scrambles for a moment before pulling out her phone as she starts to type in Luna’s request before looking back up at her, pushing up her glasses on the bridge of her nose.
Holly Wakefield:
And what are the pros you would like for me to point out to him?
Luna Smith:
I’m BETTER. I created the perfect match attraction for the division. I brought the Lockdown title to the main event multiple times, I beat an Ogre in one of my defences,..
She then sips her water again, before clicking her fingers.
Luna Smith:
I need a salad before my flight home. Come along, Holly.
Luna says walking off with a bit of a speedy march, as the loss wasn’t sitting well with her but there’s also a stiffness in her posture due to Selina’s powerful arsenal she used against Luna tonight.
Holly Wakefield:
Right, of course!
Holly manages to slide her phone back into her purse as she quickly tries to follow behind Luna who’s current mood is giving her a faster walk than normal. Holly needing to put some extra speed into her own steps if she doesn’t want to get left behind by Luna who clearly has no desire to wait for her intern to catch up.
Empire Extreme Championship Match
Last Man Standing
Sephora Eastwick VS KnoxLast Man Standing
The time finally came for Sephora Eastwick and Knox to square up in the ring to decide who would walk away the Empire Extreme Champion and who wouldn't answer the ten count in a Last Man Standing match. Knox and Eastwick began with some basic strikes to get a feel for each other, both keeping some distance so the other wouldn't come in with a devastating blow that could knock the other out. Knox hit a vicious roundhouse heel kick to Eastwick for an 8 count, tried to follow up when she got to her feet, but she countered sending Knox onto his knees, his chin draped on the middle rope! Eastwick shot off the ropes, springboarded off of Knox, over the top rope, and caught him with a cutter on the apron, sending him reeling back into the ring and her sprawled on the outside from her daring, if not dangerous, move. Knox got to his feet after a six count and made his way outside as Eastwick leaned against the barricade outside the ring. Knox reached under the ring and pulled out a kendo stick and held it high for the crowd to see. He charged Eastwick, looking to hit a killing blow, but Eastwick rolled out of the way at the last minute and under the ring itself. Knox lifted the ropes to look underneath, but the canny Eastwick popped out of the opposite side of the ring holding a baseball bat. Both postured themselves in a bushido style stance, like two samurai ready to duel, and both weapons clashed. The baseball bat, all the much heavier and sturdier, annihilated the kendo stick, leaving Knox disarmed. Knox went for another standing roundhouse heel kick, but was caught with a bat to the site of his knee midway through, sending him to the ground. The referee got to a nine count as Knox propped himself up on the barricade with Eastwick busy arguing with a fan ringside. Feeling he would have an advantage in the ring itself, Knox rolled inside and beckoned for Eastwick. Eastwick slid inside with the bat in hand, both hands over her head and ready to strike, and Knox threw a kick to the solar plexus dropping Eastwick to a knee and winding her as the bat itself slid from her hands. Knox, still feeling the brunt from the blow to his knee from the bat, also fell to a knee. Both competitors looked at each other on bended knee and Eastwick threw a slap. Knox threw a slap back. Eastwick threw a big right hand. Knox threw an overhand right. Both competitors began throwing rapid forearms to each other's heads, until both stopped suddenly and noticed the bat mere feet away. Both scrambled for it, but ultimately knocked it out of the ring. Knox made it to his feet, and beckoned for Eastwick to stand. Eastwick swiped at Knox's bad knee, but Knox grabbed her in a headhold and threw a swift knee to her head, causing her to recoil in pain as she was stunned. After she regained her bearings, Knox whipped her into the corner. Knox hoisted her to the top rope, and went for a superplex. The first try didn't work, as he grabbed the sore knee, but he tried again. It looked like he hit the superplex, but Eastwick made use of the seconds she was given due to Knox's knee pain, and she rolled through the suplex to her feet, lifting Knox in the process and hitting a kneeling reverse piledriver. Eastwick feel into the ropes and leaned, watching the referee count, and was shocked when Knox answered the count at eight. Fuming, Eastwick set up Knox for the Blue Light Special, only to have it reversed as Knox rolled through onto the ground. Knox hooked Eastwick's knee and hit a dragon screw, then following up with a knee bar. Eastwick screamed in pain as Knox cinched in the lock, struggling and finally finding a way out of it. Knox, seemingly contented in damaging Eastwick's knee in kind, headed to the corner and pointed at Eastwick. As she slowly got up, Knox charged in hitting #000000 Out! Knox howled in pain as he grabbed the damaged knee he just used to deliver a less than 100% #100000 Out, and crumpled up on the mat beside Eastwick. The referee counted to eight before Eastwick stirred and got back to her feet as Knox scrambled to pull himself to his. Both competitors glared at each other and went back to trading forearms. Knox eventually worked Eastwick to the corner again, and after a series of kicks to the ribs, hoisted Eastwick to the top of the ringpost. Knox climbed the ropes looking to hit the superplex again, but Eastwick stirred and hit Knox with a forearm. Knox returned the forearm shot to Eastwick! Eastwick bit Knox's nose! Both looked stunned on the top rope, wobbling to and fro, until both grabbed each other and took the long fall from the top rope through the barricade outside the ring! The referee stepped forward and began counting. Knox started moving at four, using the barricade to help himself up to his feet. The Belle Of The Brawl hit him with a forearm to top of the head, planting her nails on his back and scratching. The count was now at 7 and Sephora was standing on her feet, while Knox was on his feet, slowly getting there. She kicked him on the face, frustrating his attempt and retaining her title when the count reached 10. WINNER: Sephora Eastwick (Still Champion) BY: Last Person Standing, 15:23 |
Bea Torres: "SEEEEEEEPHYYYYYYYY"
Jared Idol: "Here we go... I was missing you yelling in my ears!"
Bea Torres: "I'm sorry Jared, but I couldn't hold myself. Sephora retained her title against the weirdo!"
Jared Idol: "Really, Bea?"
Bea Torres: "What? Say it ain't true? Who else listen to Dragostea in 2019? Only weirdos!"
The scene draws open to the sounds of a busy San Antonio street with the words “Earlier Today…” in the upper lefthand corner of the shot. As our view fades in from black we can see that we are indeed on the side of a busy street in beautiful San Antonio, Texas. To our left the sound of a door opening precedes the arrival of Christian Michaels and his brother Javen into the scene. The Brothers McMillion, dressed of course in street clothes, waving back at someone we can’t see.
As the brothers start walking towards the camera, our camera begins moving back. Much as it usually is, Christian is the first to speak up about things.
CM:
Tonight folks my brother and I are once again stepping into the ring to take on The Happy Few in tag team action.
Michaels paused briefly in his speech before continuing.
CM:
However there’s some changes to the situation this time around. Most notably those beautiful Millenium Wrestling tag team titles aren’t on the line. Naw, if ya lookin for the defense of those championships you’re waiting on Night Two of this event. But I would implore ya to be sure and tune into Night One; because like I said it’s me and my brother here taking on The Happy Few. And while the championships aren’t with either team right now to defend? We’ve got the next best thing to it: A fight for the right to be the next challengers for the titles.
Javen nodded along in agreement as the brothers walked.
CM:
One more time huh?
Javen:
Yep.
Michaels chuckles a bit.
CM:
Ya know if those suckers weren’t as tough as the proverbial two dolla steak, I’d swear they was probably tired of seeing us. But then again ONE of us had to go and piss in their cornflakes…
He shot Javen a look. For his credit the rainbow-haired younger brother shrugs. It was like he was saying “Oh well”.
CM:
And got their panties all knotted up at us. But that’s fine though yawl, because I don’t really care a whole lot about the hows and whys that got us to this point. See for the past month and some change the tag team destinies of my brother and I have been intertwined with yawl’s. It all started back at Imperium where we, by hook or crook…
Once again Javen found himself getting a glare from his older brother. And this time Javen stuffed his hands into the pockets of his jeans and looked off to his right whistling innocently.
CM:
...eliminated The Happy Few from the four way dance to crown Millennium’s first Tag Team champions. Since that moment that entire group has walked around with their drawers in a bigger knot than a Spanish bowline.
Javen can be seen mouthing out the words “Spanish bowline…..knot?”
CM:
Ya came after my brother for revenge, here recently ya was flappin those gus of yawl’s before the six-person match recently. Now maybe you beat my brother….and maybe our pal Duke didn’t play by the rules, though I hear your boy was a fan a fan of destroying dicks before his suffered the same fate...but tonight things are gonna be different, yet stay the same. Because we didn’t come to Millennium Wrestling to do “okay” and be runners up. We came here to test our mettle against the best tag teams in the world! We came here to face those best tag teams and Put. Them. Down!
Christian rubs his hands together.
CM:
Happy Few? There’s not a shadow of a doubt in anybody’s mind that you rank up there amongst the best of the best! Anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or an idiot. We know that personally from already having been across the ring from yawl on a couple of occasions. Tonight, on Night One of Deep In The Heart? The Brothers McMillion take on The Happy Few one more time, this time for the right to be the next challengers for the Millennium Tag Team championships…
There’s a confident look upon Michaels face as he speaks.
CM:
This time there won’t be any questions of controversy after the fall, that’s where things change. But where it stays the same is that we’re gonna weather the storm of hurt you bring upon us and we’re gonna walk out with our arms raised in victory!
For a moment here Christian holds his arm up in victory. Before long he lowers his arm, stuffing his hands in his pockets now. Javen, it seems, was now ready to offer his thoughts on tonight’s match.
Javen:
Ya know for a buncha baddasses, you folks over in the Happy Few sure do a lot of crying. So what I hooked the tights back at Imperium? Yawl talk about how great ya are and all that, well ya must not be all that great if a pair of knees and one handful of tights gets ya out of a match…
He can feel the glare from his older brother. Javen sighs and rolls his eyes
Javen:
Look, I ain’t ever made any bones about the fact that I’m the kinda guy that follows the path of least resistance. Why? Because at the end of the night ya know what matters more than anything else in this business? Wins! That’s what matters the most.
A shrug.
Javen:
And last time I looked at the record books, when our teams were pitted against each other? WE beat yawl. Don’t like the way it happened? Oh well, be better is all I can tell ya. Because me? I’m here to win with my brother. I’m here, back in our home away from home San Antonio, to win ourselves a shot at the titles baybay! And I don’t care if that means us getting another chance at JetPack, or if that means we gotta go through a whole damn committee of Brees, but we’re gonna be the Millennium Wrestling tag team champions sooner rather than later.
Javen reached behind him, into a back pocket presumably. When his hand returned to view he was holding a pair of black sunglasses. A smirk appearing on the younger McMillion’s face.
Javen:
And as for yawl in The Happy Few? Yawl can just deal with it.
And with those final words, Javen raises the sunglasses above his head and then brings his hands down to put the sunglasses on like a live action version of the “Deal With It” meme. Our scene fading back to the action live on Night One as CM shakes his head at his brother’s antics.

Tag Team Match
#1 Contendership for the MWE Tag Team Titles
#1 Contendership for the MWE Tag Team Titles
Brothers McMillion VS The Happy Few
A lot of history between those two teams that started back at Imperium where Javen scored a pinfall on NEON with a roll-up and, holding on her trunks to keep her down for the three count. The japanese wrestler got her payback one week later when she made the youngest of the McMillion Brothers tap out in the middle of the ring. In the last show before Deep In The Heart, Christian Michaels and Javen scored another win against the Happy Few, not without some controversy, when Duke Andrews, long time friend and partner in that night's Trios Match had to resort to a low blow to get the decisive pinfall on SERO. The prize at stake tonight, more important than pride and redemption, a granted shot at the MWE Tag Team Titles. Javen started things off against OMI, trying to impose a quick pace from the get going. He sent her against the ropes, leapfrogging over her head when she came back and dropping on the mat, forcing the japanes to jump over him and continue her run at the next passage. The third time, Javen took her down with a single leg dropkick. He quickly slid down and applied a headlock, from which OMI quickly escaped, moving behind him and planting the knee on his spine, pulling back his arms. The mat was definitely OMI's element, here the member of The Few had an easy game controlling the pace of the match, applying a guillottine choke. Javen wrestled his way out of it and landed a few punches to the opponent's face, picking her up for a powerslam and dropping his leg across her throat, making the first cover of the match only getting a count of two. After shoving OMI into his corner, Javen made the tag to his brother, who entered the ring and positioned himself in front of the opponent on all fours. Javen charged in full head of steam, stepping on his brother's back and hitting the member of the few with a Calf Kick. CM then followed with a clothesline, sitting OMI on top of the tunrbuckle and driving her all the way down with a superplex. Another pinfall attempt saw the Typhoon kicking out in two. The match went on with the Brothers McMillion in control, until OMI was able to counter a powerbomb from Christian into a hurricanrana. The japanese found herself on the wrong side of town, with Christian now back on his feet and standing between her and NEON. She charged at full speed, wrapping her legs around his waist and planting him with a wheelbarrow ddt, crawling towards her corner and finally making the tag. The Tiny Dragon rushed into the ring, dropping her elbow to the back of Michaels who was slowly trying to reach his corner, stopping him on his tracks. She then picked him up and started hitting him with a flurry of palm strikes, concluding with one final blow to the chin. And just like that the Happy Few were now in control. OMI and NEON cut the ring in half, keeping Christian away from his brother with frequent tags. NEON put her head under CM's arm, flipping him backwards with a Northern Lights Suplex into a double foot stomp, tagging in OMI who kicked him in the head with her Ame-no Tataku (High Speed Roundhouse Kick To The Head). The Tiny Dragon ended the sequence with her Umeda Skyline (Best Moonsault Ever), leaving OMI to make the cover. Javen rushed into the ring and dove onto her, breaking the pin at the very last moment, saving the match for his team. Christian desperately needed a tag, having been at the mercy of the Happy Few for almost seven minutes now. His chance came when created himself an opening with a jawbreaker, countering a suplex attempt. OMI recovered quickly and grabbed his leg, but the veteran answered with an enziguri kick and reached his corner. Javen was finally back into the match like a house on fire, driven by the San Antonio fans who were firmly behind him and his brother. First he took OMI down with some hard chops and a neckbreaker, then he charged at NEON and knocked her off the apron with a dropkick, getting back up on his feet just in time to duck a clothesline from the returning OMI and sending her face first against the turnbuckle with a shotgun dropkick. After setting her up on the top rope, he dropped her down with an avalanche back suplex, hooking the leg for the cover. The referee never started the count since NEON tagged herself in while Javen was performing the move. And when he eventually realized it, the member of The Few was right on him with a running roundhouse kick. She wasted no time, picking him up and going for her Shatter-Shock (Suplex-positioned knee strike), making a cover from which Javen kicked out with authority. The final part of the match was very chaotic, with the referee trying and failing to restore some order. And it all started when the McMillion Brothers connected the TN Stunna (Sit-Out Wheelbarrow Facebuster into a cutter) on the youngest of The Happy Few. It appeared like the match was over, but OMI made the save with a low dropkick on Javen. CM who was leaving the ring feeling the victory already in his pocket immediately turned around and charged at the her with a running forearm. The referee tried to separate the two competitors who were now exchanging forearm shot after forearm shot, but he had to turn his head back to the action when NEON rolled up Javen. The Thrillbilly kicked out in two and kicked her in the gut, setting her up for The Javen Effect (reverse Twist Of Fate). OMI saved her sister hitting Javen with a forearm shot to the back. He turned around, stunning OMI with a stiff haymaker, turning his back on the legal member of The Few who quickly lifted him for her Ketsueki Toll (Bridging Dragon Suplex). Christian tried to make the save, but he ran right into the devastating Super Cyclone that knocked him out, preventing him to break the bridge. The Happy Few won the match and the shot at whoever will be champion after tomorrow's match between Jetpack and The BreeTee Committee. WINNER: The Happy Few BY: Pinfall (Ketsueki Toll), 16:16 |
Alyx Valero: "Woah! OMI just killed good ole' CM!"
Zackary Dyson: "That Super Cyclone is probably the most dangerous move in MWE. She can hit it out of nowhere at anytime."
Alyx Valero: "It's up there with the Mean Dean in my opinion..."
Zackary Dyson: "Good call. Anyway, OMI and NEON just secured themselves a golden opportunity at the MWE Tag Team Titles. And if I were Jetpack or The BreeTee Committee, I would start to worry."
Alyx Valero: "No shit..."
Backstage, Christopher Kane. He has his game face on as he knows what tonight is. His chance to become the top champion in Millennium. Chris appears to be calm while he leans against a wall.
CHRISTOPHER KANE:
Here we are. Deep In the Heart, night one. Main event. Me against Nessa Wall. Nessa Wall, the ghost champion of Millennium. I know it sounds bad to say it, maybe a little cliche but when was the last time she spoke to anyone here? When was the last time anyone saw her when she didn’t have a match? Go ahead and take a second.
He pauses for a very brief moment.
CHRISTOPHER KANE:
Right? I thought so. Since I won the number one contendership I got to thinking about her more and more. I’ve known Nessa for years now, quite a few, and something has just always been odd to me about her. About how she can cozy up to someone and suddenly she has more matches and is getting chances. Now I’m not saying she’s shady, far from it, but it just got me thinking a little bit.
Another pause as he taps his chin.
CHRISTOPHER KANE:
I’ve never seen you put in the hard work. I’ve always seen you take the shortcut. I’ve seen you take the easy way time and time again. When you eventually lose a match, poof, you’re gone for a while. No one sees you outside of the occasional quip, and then you suddenly get drawn back into wrestling. Time and time again.
Christopher stops leaning and begins to squad down with his hands on the back of his head.
CHRISTOPHER KANE:
You want to say you’re a genius. MENSA, all that stuff, and yet you don’t really get wrestling do you? You pretend that you do, Nessa, but you don’t. Hard work carries you. Hard work gets you to moments like this. You waver in and out wrestling like it’s nothing more than a silly hobby to you. You can talk about dedication, desire and anything else you want to, but I’ll never buy into it, and do you know why?
He shifts positions again and gets close to the camera.
CHRISTOPHER KANE:
You’re nothing but a person cosplaying as a wrestler.
A few steps back.
CHRISTOPHER KANE:
You pretend to be one of us until you get bored, you go do something else, and then you come back. Again and again. It’s like a cycle that never stops. You piss and moan when something goes wrong, and then you call out other people for doing the same. You pretend to have everything right about this business, but yet you still go about it all wrong. I know some people say it’s all about the end result, but your end result?
Another pause.
CHRISTOPHER KANE:
Getting my elbow drilled into your face. You looking up at the lights before closing your eyes. The ref slapping their hand on the canvas three times. Bell rings. Eyes open. You see me standing above you holding that Millennium Championship. This isn’t the first time we’ve danced with a title on the line. Guess who came out on top last time? I did. I don’t lose to someone cosplaying as a wrestler because they’re bored with who they are because they’re some kind of genius.
Shake of the head.
CHRISTOPHER KANE:
Six years, Nessa, I’ve been working to getting to this point. Six long years of working in the State, working in Japan, having people spit on my name, having people call me Brad Kane Jr., going through substance abuse issues, going through child custody fights, going through divorce, working through pain every single day, and you know what?
A slight grin.
CHRISTOPHER KANE:
Every single fucking second of it will be worth it when I have that title that you hold. All the pain this business gave me, the misery, the sadness and the joy, all of it will be worth it when everyone tonight hears those words echo through the speakers…
The grin becomes a smile. A confidence smile.
CHRISTOPHER KANE:
Your winner, and new Millennium Wrestling Enterprise Champion, Christopher Kane. Then you can roam these halls like a ghost, but a ghost that has no more purpose before dying away. See you in the ring.
Empty Arena Match
Seth Iser VS Shawn FoxThe live feed cut to one of the most awaited match on the Pay-Per-View which, ironically, didn’t take place inside the AT&T Center. The cameras took us to the Main Campus of the University of Texas at San Antonio, right outside the Convocation Center, the secret location where the match between Shawn Fox and Seth Iser was set to take place. We cut inside, where everything was ready for the Empty Arena Match. The two contenders and the referee, the only men inside the building (not counting the camera crew) were standing in the middle of the ring, where the official reminded them the rules before signaling the start of the match. The atmosphere without the fans chanting and cheering was surreal, a heavy silence loaded with tension as the two long time rivals locked up, each of them trying to overpower the other. Seth, with the size and power advantage was getting the best of his opponent, pushing him back toward the ropes. Shawn was able to slip away and move behind his Iser’s back applying a waist lock. Seth quickly reversed it with a standing switch applying the same hold on Shawn, but Fox immediately broke free with an elbow to the jaw, grabbing the opponent’s right arm by the wrist and twisting it. He then drove the bearded man’s arm down on his shoulder, without losing the grip on the wrist. He kept torquing it, putting the other hand on Seth’s shoulder and brought him down on his knee, applying more pressure on the arm. Seth surprised him by rolling on the mat and getting pack to his feet, using the left arm to break the hold and flipping him down on the mat with a snapmare, transitioning into a headlock. Fox immediately escaped it, going back to work on the opponent’s arm with the same submission as before. Iser tried to escape it, pushing Shawn against the ropes and performing an arm drag. But the former IYH champion held on, keeping the wrist lock even when Seth attempted to break it with a monkey flip. No matter what Seth tried, Fox seemed to have a counter for that, keeping control and pressure on the arm, proving his superiority when it comes to mat wrestling. Anyway, contrary to what one would believe, and probably to what Shawn was expecting as well, this didn’t seem to frustrate the FGA Pride Champion, who patiently waited for his opportunity to escape the prolonged submission. And when he did, he knocked down Fox with one single right hand to the jaw. With all the history between them, it was almost natural that they would have tried a different approach to the match, and here we saw Seth trying to beat Shawn at his own game, keeping the match on the mat at a slow and controlled pace. He was doing a great job applying a Short Arm Scissors after targeting the Arizona born’s right arm with some knee drops and a leg drop. The veteran’s plan was simple, depriving the opponent of a big part of his arsenal, those deadly punches honed by years of boxing. Fox managed to drag himself to the ropes, touching the bottom one with his foot and breaking the submission. He then made it back to his feet, only do be dropped outside the ring by Seth’s clothesline. Iser followed him there and the two started an all out brawl that saw Shawn apparently having the upper hand, pushing Iser towards the barricade. But right when he seemed to be with his back against the wall (literally), Seth connected a quick sequence of rights, stunning Mr Golden Ticket and throwing him on the first row of chairs with an released belly to belly. He watched the carnage with a satisfied grin on his face, an expression that quickly turned to shock when Shawn stood back up and climbed on the barricade, launching himself against Seth with a crossbody. The match finally came back to the ring after Fox introduced Seth’s face to the steel post and rolled him back under the bottom rope. Much like the grizzled veteran did before, the two time IYH Proving Ground Champion came into this match with a different game plan than what one would expect. Instead of targeting the knee, well known Achille’s heel of the veteran, Shawn was aiming all his offense to the right arm, figuring that taking out Seth’s main weapon would give him a huge advantage. After a series of kicks to the right arm, Fox bent the opponent over with a reverse kick to the stomach, gaining momentum against the ropes and hitting him with a knee lift, positioning himself next to him and taking him down with a Russian Legsweep and, in one fluid motion, rolling him over right into the Fox Me, Fox You, his patented Fujiwara Armbar. It was the first critical moment of this match, one Iser overcame not without some difficulty when he was able to counter it into a pin, forcing the younger opponent to kick out and let him go. Seth left the ring, shaking his arm in an attempt to get back some feeling in it. Shawn wasn’t giving him any chance to recover, diving through the ropes and taking him down with a suicide dive. As the fight sprawled once again outside, Seth created himself an opening with an eye rake and exploited it right away with a spinebuster on the ramp. He then slid back inside the ring momentarily only to break the referee count before turning his attention back to Shawn, hitting a few knife edged chops before lifting him in a vertical suplex and dropping him once again on the ramp. Finally satisfied, he dragged him to the ring, slammed him face first on the apron and rolled him back inside, hooking the leg for a cover. Two, said the referee. Shawn's reaction was immediate, going back to his roots and boxing background with a series of quick jabs, ending the sequence with a big straight punch to the nose. Iser was wobbling, staring at Shawn for a few moments before Flair flopping to the mat. Fox went for the cover, but the old man still had some fuel in his tank and kicked out. Seth had his chance to show a side of him that was rarely seen throughout his long career. He surprised the opponent with a leg scissors takedown, bringing the fight to the mat and stomping Shawn's leg a few times before applying a sharpshooter. Fox seemed to be in a world of pain, but he dug deep down, finding the strength to pull himself up and instinctively dragging towards the ropes. Just when they were inches away, Seth dragged him back in the center of the ring, a sadistic smile forming on his face when he heard his opponent screaming in agony. The former IYH champion refused to tap, finding a way out of the submission. Relentlessly, Seth picked Shawn up and tossed him chest first against the corner, slamming his head on the turnbuckle a few times for god measures. He then left the ring, grabbing the opponent's legs and applying a figure four on the ring post. The action kept going back and forth and, as the minutes went by, all the strategies went out of the window. All the work they both put in on each other’s arm was definitely affecting their strikes, and in more than one occasion they both were caught by the cameras favoring the right arm. But this wasn’t slowing any of them down. Seth hit a series of uppercuts, grabbing Shawn’s arm and whipping him into the corner. He then charged at him, crashing into a back elbow from the Phoenix born who then lifted himself on the top rope and took Seth down with a double axe handle. Despite all the punishment, Iser was quickly back on his feet, at least for a moment before Shawn dropped him with his lariat takedown. The former IYH Champion went for a cover, obviously getting just a two count. Determined to put an end to the contest, Fox climbed to the top rope and jumped off it with a senton, attempting another pin for another near fall. Almost twenty minutes into this match and Seth was still going strong, showing a great shape. Sure, his right hands weren’t as strong as they were earlier in the match, thanks to Shawn’s work on that arm, but they were still causing some damage. After an irish whip, Iser picked up Fox and dropped him on the top rope with a stun gun. He quickly picked the visibly stunned opponent up and kicked him in the stomach, planting him with the Deprivation DDT. If there were any fans inside the arena, this would’ve been the moment they all would be holding their breath, fearing the end for their favorite. Smartly, Fox rolled out of the ring, avoiding the cover that could’ve been decisive. And Seth knew it, as the curse word he yelled echoed in the empty arena, so much for keeping it PG! But with the frustration for the missed opportunity came also the awareness that he could beat Shawn Fox, and he was this close. He approached the ropes, dragged him up on his feet and deadlifted him with a suplex, dropping him back into the ring. He then went for a second DDT, probably taking a moment too long before dropping Fox. Shawn was quick to escape and hook his arms for his patented double underhook DDT called Go Fox Yourself!, making the cover and taking home another win against the veteran at the end of a match that could really have gone both ways. WINNER: Shawn Fox BY: Pinfall (Go Fox Yourself!), 21:36 |
The referee is raising Shawn's hand in victory. A gesture Fox is obviously used to, but no matter how many times he had been in this spot, not a single one of them felt quite like this. No fans chanting, no flashes of thousands of smartphone taking pictures, no smiling faces of friends and family sitting in the front row, no commentators recapping the highlights of the battle she had just been through and analyzing the action.
Only silence.
A weird feeling, that goes without saying. Something Shawn doesn't seem to be ready for as he looks all around, uncertain how to act in such a unique situation. And if this wasn't enough, Seth made things even more confusing when he stood up and walked in front of his rival extending the hand for a handshake. Fox stared back at him, then at his hand and once again right in Seth's eyes. He was uncertain about what to do, fearing that Iser was trying to lure him into one of his old tricks. But eventually Shawn reached out and shook the hand. A gesture that, if donw in front of the crowd, would have bought every single one of the Twenty Thousands and more filling the AT&T center on their feet.
MWE Championship Match
Nessa Wall(c) VS Christopher KaneThe moment everyone was waiting for had finally come. The main event of night one, the Millennium Wrestling Enterprise title on the line. Nessa Wall won the company’s biggest prize back at Deep-Six, cashing in her opportunity on Jennifer Yang after the former champion successfully defended her title in a grueling six person match. Many people called it a cheap win, but Nessa legitimated it by beating Yang in the rematch back at Imperium. Her challenger tonight had come a long way to be here, in his first world championship opportunity. A title that would mean so much to him, more so after everything the owner of MWE had put him through. The referee raised the championship high in the air and called for the bell to ring, signaling the start of this title match. Kane wasted no time to charge at Nessa and jumped at her with a shotgun dropkick. Caught completely off guard, Wall bounced hard against the corner hard, falling face first on the mat. CK quickly climbed the turnbuckle and waited for her to stand up, jumping off the top rope with the diving knee he calls New York Rain. Christopher hooked the leg for a cover, trying to end this quickly but Nessa kicked out in two. Kane stayed on the attack with some uppercuts, whipping the champion against the ropes and knocking her down with a discus lariat. He followed with an elbow drop and another pinfall attempt, forcing the champion to kick out once again. Taken aback by Christopher’s strong start, Nessa rolled out of the ring, taking herself some time to refocus and break the challenger’s momentum. Of course, Kane had different plans for her. He left the ring as well and started chasing her.. Back in she went, bouncing against the ropes after a handspring for one of her signature moves, the STFU. Chris had it scouted and caught her in mid air, dropping her on her back with a bridging german suplex, obtaining another two count. The challenger was in full control, hitting Nessa with hard and precise strikes. The champion was in great difficulty, apparently unable to find her footing in what was, so far, a one way match. Chris was collecting near falls after near fall, one of which particularly close to three after a chestblower. The disappointment when the champion raised her shoulders was almost as loud as the boos Nessa got when she poked Chris in the eyes, slipping away from the fireman's carry position he had her in. She capitalized on this opening with a backstabber, finally turning things around. The champion slowed down the pace, relying on various holds to wear the challenger down and, at the same time, recovering some energy after the tough start. She was now sitting on Chris' back, applying a chin lock and taking the chance to hit him with some right hands to the face. The fans started chanting Kane's name, showing the 22 years old their support. Slowly, Christopher tried to climb back on his feet, but his attempt was frustrated by the champion, who sat back onto him keeping the submission. The second time saw Chris succeeding in his goal and walking backwards towards the corner in an attempt to get rid of Wall who was still hanging on his back. Three times he had to smash her against the corner before the champion lost his grip. Kane quickly turned around and charged at her, eating a kick from Nessa who then climbed to the middle rop and jumped on Chris with a double axe handle to the top of his skull. It was now Nessa's moment to shine. Seemingly fueling on the boos from the very vocal San Antonio crowd, the MWE champion was kicking the ever loving crap out of Christopher, who was now on his knees unable to defend himself from her stiff kicks to the chest. She then charged at him with a stiff shining wizard, hooking the inside leg for another near fall. With a cocky grin, she picked him up and hit him with a few chops, before jumping on the ropes and going for her MENSA Application Denied. Chris ducked the beautiful disaster kick and connected with his patented half and half suplex. Nessa was quickly back on her feet, ducking a clothesline from the challenger and going for a second MENSA Application Denied, this time connecting the move. Chris was down, a grin appeared on the champion's face as she took a few steps back and blew him a kiss. She then ran at him with a Boma Ye Knee, connecting the Kissy Kissy. The whole arena fell into silence as the referee made the count, only to erupt in loud cheers when Chris kicked out from the cover. Nessa stared at the referee in disbelief. Chris wasn't moving but some he kicked out from her best move. Frustrated, she slammed her hand on the mat three times, arguing with the referee who stood by his decision. Chris grabbed the bottom rope and used it to stand back on his feet. Nessa went back on the attack, two quick jabs and a kick to stun him and going for the spinning backfist called Against The Wall. Chris' quick reflexes allowed him to duck the move, driving his knee to the mid section and and lift her over his shoulders and drop her into a pele kick. Both competitors were now down, starting to stir up when the referee began to count. Chris was the to stand up, dragging Nessa back to her feet. The champion struck first, Chris answered back with a forearm shot of his own and they started trading blows in the center of the ring. Shot after shot, it was Kane who came out victorious from the exchange, lifting Nessa in a suplex position and dropping her on his knees. He didn't go for the cover, measuring the distance and waiting for her to be in perfect position for the Omega Finale (Sliding D). He made the cover, already anticipating the sweet taste of victory in his mouth but the champion somehow managed to kick out. This didn't seem to affect Christopher, who after the initial shock, picked Nessa up and lifter her in an inverted suplex, dropping her down with a piledriver and making another cover. This time, for the three count. WINNER: Christopher Kane (New Champion) BY: Pinfall (Untitled Finale II), 17:38 |

Inside the ring, Chris is raising the MWE title over his head, soaking in the moment. The fans chanting his name, the title now wrapped around his waist... Everything is just like he always imagined it, a moment every wrestler dreams. You would expect him to celebrate the win. Not only he is a champion, but he's also the face of the company, in spite of Grace and her shenanigans. Instead, Chris cut his celebrayions short, probably fearing on of them. On the image of the New MWE Champion heading backstage, the show closes.
