Riot in Kansas
Live from Hurchinson Sports Arena in Hutcinson, KS
Friday ,February 1st, 2019
Small crowd but very vocal the one gathered tonight inside the Hutchinson Sports Arena in Hutchinson, Kansas. Seven thousand people chanting "Riot" on top of their lungs almost covered the homoniymous song by Three Days Grace as it blares out of the loudspeakers. Colored spotlights dance on the stage where the show logo is flashing on the giant screen. With a quick movement over the excited crowd the camera takes us ringside, where Alyx Valero and Zackary Dyson are ready for the usual introduction.
Zackary Dyson:
Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Riot in Kansas!
Alyx Valero:
Man, I'm so excited about tonight.. Two Invictus matches, Thorne versus Gregory and Smith versus Hooke. And what about that main event, huh?
Zackary Dyson:
The MWE Tag Team Champions take on the Uncanny Socialites. And even though the titles are not on the line, you know better than me that every match against the champion has huge implications.
Alyx Valero:
Damn right it does! Beat the champs and get a title shot, that's the rule. I know it, you know it, these fans know it and both champions and challenger know it as well... This is gonna be great.
Zackary Dyson:
And it doesn't end here of course. We finally get to see Franky Harris, Dakota Lockard and Nikki Knight making their Riot debuts tonight.
Alyx Valero:
They were all scheduled to compete last week, but Ozzie Savell had other plans for that night and runied not one, but two matches.
Zackary Dyson:
Yeah, let's not talk about that. You know that our General Manager is still upset about that.
Alyx Valero:
Yup... So let's kick off this night instead, shall we? First match on the card, BreeTee Committee against one of the fastest rising tag teams in MWE, Olivia Wythe and Levi.
Zackary Dyson:
They've been on a roll recently, but can they keep the momentum going? Or will Bree and Teegs be able to slow them down?
Alyx Valero:
We'll find out very soon...

The cameras are backstage as we are following one half of The BreeTee Committee, Teagan Gallagher, who is dressed in a pair of black shorts with a Rams football jersey as she appears to be focused on her phone in her hands. There is a smile on Teagan’s face as she is facetime with her boyfriend who is showing her what the cats are up to while she is out of the house.
Teagan Gallagher:
You better make sure that Luna doesn’t sneak too many treats! She’s getting a little chunky, I’ve noticed.
Teagan frowns a little bit before she looks up to notice her tag team partner, Bree Smith, approaching closer to where she is leaned up against one of the walls while she had been chatting on her phone. Teagan offers a quick wave over to Bree before she turns her attention back to her phone.
Teagan Gallagher:
I gotta go Jase, Bree and I need to do some last minute strategizing before our tag team match.
Teagan waves in the direction of her phone as she ends her facetime call before she tucks her phone into the back pocket of her shorts while giving Bree a smile.
Teagan Gallagher:
What’s the good word, Oreo Monster?
Bree looks quite surprised she called her that as she rolls her eyes and turns her head away, clearly as a surprise had been taken away from her. She then digs out football jerseys stylized with the BreeTee Committee logo and colours. On the back of Bree’s it had her name and “Oreo Monster” as a playful nickname with Teagan having TeaBear.
Bree Smith:
Sometimes our unagi ruins surprises, Teegs…
Teagan laughs before she reaches out to take the jersey in both of her hands.
Teagan Gallagher:
Maybe so, but I still appreciate the sentiment!
Teagan brings the jersey closer to her as she turns it around to give it a better look before nodding her head with approval.
Teagan Gallagher:
We should definitely wear these on the way to the ring tonight.
Bree Smith:
Really intimidate Levi and Olivia
Bree says popping her head in but finds the sleeve rather than the neck hole, much like Phoebe from Friends. Teagan tries not to laugh at her tag team partner as she raises one eyebrow.
Teagan Gallagher:
Do you need a hand there, partner?
Bree Smith:
One second, Teegs.
Bree says getting her head further in the sleeve and trying to get arm into where she thinks the sleeve actually is over and over.
Bree Smith:
One second, just one second, Teegs.
As she starts to move in a circle and gets her other arm in but caught.
Teagan Gallagher:
Huh… Bree...
Bree then whips her head around covered by the jersey fabric.
Bree Smith:
Teegs, I’m scared!
Teagan Gallagher:
Don’t worry, I’ve got you.
Teagan is still trying her best not to laugh as she steps forward and reaches out with both hands to grab onto the jersey, shifting it around slightly, until she’s able to get Bree’s head through the neck hole rather than one of the sleeves.
Teagan Gallagher:
There we go! We almost had an emergency on our hands.
Bree Smith:
Thanks, partner.
Bree then gives her partner a quick lean in hug.
Bree Smith:
We’ll definitely look the part now. And I didn’t give a jersey to anyone else just so you know, girly.
Teagan hugs Bree back before raising one eyebrow with a slightly curious expression on her face.
Teagan Gallagher:
What’s that supposed to mean?
Bree Smith:
Well according to your new best friend and ‘the better twin’ as Meems said you called her while out shopping, you were feeling left out by me. Which I didn’t FYI!
Bree gives a little nod to make her point. Teagan places her hands on her hips as her mouth drops open almost like she was in shock.
Teagan Gallagher:
Oh! So it’s like that now, is it? It’s not my fault you keep making plans without me!
Bree Smith:
I make plans for us, Teegs. You’re automatically invited to everything.
Bree says with a little push of her fingers to Teagan’s shoulder as a friendly prod. Teagan relaxes a little bit as she reaches out to give Bree’s shoulder a friendly prod right back.
Teagan Gallagher:
It’s all in good fun, you know that!
Bree Smith:
I do! But I think our little prematch workout will really make us have this win over Levi and Olivia. Do you remember last time we faced them and they were saved by the bell from our finisher?
Teagan Gallagher:
How could I forget?
Teagan shakes her head.
Teagan Gallagher:
This time around we’re getting that definite win, the one that will prove to everyone we deserve a shot at the tag team titles!
Bree Smith:
Yeah we do! Especially after we end this little winning streak Levi and Liv have been on. After CCW has kinda closed its doors, at least for now, I promised to get you some gold. And a Smith always pays her debts.
Bree says putting her cap on and spinning it around to wear it backwards.
Teagan Gallagher:
I don't doubt that for one single second.
Teagan gives Bree a big smile as she waves her own football jersey around like it was a flag.
Teagan Gallagher:
We have unagi on our side after all.
Bree Smith:
Unagi
Bree says putting her two fingers up to her forehead as she looks at Teegs who does the same thing as she puts two fingers to her own forehead.
Teagan Gallagher:
Unagi!
Both girls laugh together as they start to walk down the hallway to finish getting ready for their tag team match.

Tag Team Match
The BreeTee Committee VS Olivia Wythe & Levi
The third episode of Riot kicked off with some tag team action. It was back at Millennium XXII that these two teams first met during the group stage of the Tag Team Tournament. That match ended in a time limit draw right when Bree and Teagan were this close to bring home the win. Almost two months later, both teams have come a long way, climbing the ranks of the tag division with a series of great performances. Bree and Olivia, the two powerhouse of the respective teams, started things off. And what better way than a test of strength to assert dominance? The two women locked up and after a few moments, it was Bree who came out on top, forcing Wythe in the corner where she followed with a few hard chops. Smith then grabbed the opponent by the wrist and sent her all the way across the ring to the opposite corner, charging at her for a splash and eating Olivia’s boot. Wythe exploded out of the corner with a clothesline flooring the opponent. Bree stood back up and she was met by a kick to the stomach by the opponent, who then lifted her with a suplex, rolling over for a cover. Smith kicked out almost immediately and locked up once again with Olivia, this time quickly transitioning to a side headlock, dragging her towards their corner when Teegs tagged herself in, climbing to the top rope as Bree lifted Wythe in a vertical suplex diving on her with a crossbody and hooking the leg for a pinfall. Teagan tried to keep the opponent grounded, locking her in a reverse figure four leglock from which Olivia eventually managed to break free. The Kansas born fought back, sending Gallagher against the ropes and leveling her with a clothesline. She picked her up, tossed her in her corner and drove her shoulder to the midsection. Levi took the tag, and waited for for Wythe to powerbomb her before jumping in the ring with a slingshot senton. Instead of going for a cover, she picked Teagan up and whipped her against the ropes, taking her down with a dropkick and following with a springboard moonsault, only then trying a pinfall that only resulted in a count of two. Gallagher was in great difficulty against the young and fired up opponent, unable to find a counter to Levi’s speed. Bree had to step in and break the pin after the Baby K connected with her Pinky And The Brainbuster, saving her team. But the match was definitely in Levi and Olivia’s hands, who were doing an excellent job at cutting the ring and keeping Teegs isolated. This changed when the Irish wrestler blocked a german suplex attempt from Olivia, breaking free with a couple of elbow shots and knocking her down with an enziguri kick, buying herself enough time to reach the corner and tag Bree back in. And the former powerlifter completely changed the dynamic of the match, entering and cleaning the ring, dropping Wythe down with a wicked right hand and charging full head of steam at Levi, pushing her off the apron with a forearm shot. She ducked under Olivia’s clothesline, wrapping her arms around her and dropping her on her back with the first of three german suplexes she calls the Power Of Bree, keeping the bridge on the last one for a pinfall attempt, broken by Levi who dove against Bree. It was not the BreeTee Committee’s turn to show how well they work as a team, with Teagan climbing on Bree’s shoulders and launching herself on the grounded Wythe, hooking the leg for another cover. Bree tackled Levi who was trying once again to break the pin, rolling out of the ring with her. Wythe kicked out but when she stood back up, she found Teegs waiting for her with her Gallagher’s Way. And this time, the exploder suplex was enough to keep her down for the three count. WINNER: The BreeTee Committee BY: Pinfall (Gallagher’s Way), 12:06 |
The cameras cut to the backstage area and the focus is upon the back of someone’s hoodie. The hoodie is black with silver lettering stitched onto it that shines with the brightness of the lights from the ceiling. The silver lettering loud and bold as it reads “The Liv Show” with some silver stars circling around the words. The person turns around, by now quite obvious that it is Olivia Mercer, as she begins to laugh using one hand to wave off the camera to signal that the focus needs to zoom back now.
Liv Mercer:
I hate to say I told you so. Well, actually, I LOVE to tell people I told you so. Especially when I was right all along. It’s that extra little feeling of self satisfaction that I get which I just can’t deny myself, you know?
Liv shrugs her shoulders in a playful manner as she brings up one of her hands and runs it through the curled waves of her long blonde hair.
Liv Mercer:
I promised every single one of you people that I was going to walk away with a victory and not only did I follow through on this promise, I absolutely DOMINATED in my match. I kicked off the show, sure, but in that I set the standard and made it clear that you are all watching The Liv Show. I’m the star here, I’m the one you’re all dying to see, and tonight I continue to dominate in that ring to further emphasis that there is no one who can stop me no matter how hard they might try. They want to silence me? Good luck kiddos.
Liv smirks as she snaps her fingers.
Liv Mercer:
Tonight it’s your turn to set up to the plate, Zakari. It’s obvious you’ve ruffled a few feathers with the way you handle yourself inside of the ring, I can almost respect that, but I’m more than wise to whatever tricks you want to pull out there in the hopes you can squeak by with a victory. I’m not making the same mistake twice, that’s for sure. Go ahead and make all the Michael Jackson jokes you want, that was pretty funny, but there’s no stopping what’s about to happen here tonight. I’ll rock with you in that ring and you can beat it after you lose.
Liv appears to be quite satisfied with her own jokes as she begins to laugh. From the left side of where she is standing, her manager and boyfriend Oz Dalton approaches, and the smile grows on Liv’s face as adjusts her hoodie.
Liv Mercer:
You ready to go out there and kill it babe?
Oz gives her a big grin before Liv leans in closer to give him a quick kiss for some extra luck.
Oz Dalton:
You always kill it.
Liv Mercer:
I can’t argue when you’re right.
Liv gives her boyfriend a playful wink before she turns around so they can begin to walk out to the stage so she can make her big entrance for her match. Oz is quick to sneak in a pat to her backside which makes Liv giggle as the scene cuts away.

Singles Match
Zakari Wiley VS Liv MercerTwo of the loudest competitors in Millennium are set to compete in the first singles match of Riot in Kansas. None of them particularly loved by the fans, the two competitors started off with a lock up in the middle of the ring. Wiley quickly switched to a headlock, pushing Liv against the ropes and bending forward, ready to flip her over her head with a back body drop. But Mercer saw it coming, slowed down and kicked her, following up with a legsweep to take her off her feet. Liv then mounted on top of the grounded opponent and, started hitting her with various punches. Zakari rolled over, switching positions and returning the courtesy until Mercer regained her position on top, this time straight up slamming her head on the canvas. After a first very evenly matched part where the two competitors brawled it out with none of them really getting the upper hand, the pace of the match suddenly picked up when La Sombra Negro slipped away from Liv’s fireman’s carry and surprised her with a superkick, knocking her off her feet. Wasting no time, she followed with a series of three elbow drops, the last one of which after leaving the ring and using the top rope as a springboard. Her first pinfall attempt all came to nothing. The pair started brawling once again, until Liv whipped the opponent in the corner, charging with a Yakuza Kick. Mercer placed the opponent on the top turnbuckle and climbed as well, attempting a superplex countered by the Zakary with a series of heabutts that knocked down the opponent. She then waited for her to stand up before leaping off with a missile dropkick. The back and forth action brought us to the final moments of the match, when, after kicking out from the Pele Kick, Liv was able to turn the momentum in her favor, getting a near fall out of a Bridging Northern Lights Suplex. Zakari kicked out, getting up to her feet right into a superkick from Mercer, who wasted no time to lock her in the LIV-Lock, a modified figure four headscissors from which, despite her best effort, Whiley wasn’t able to break free, eventually tapping out. WINNER: Liv Mercer BY: Submission (LIV-Lock), 8:37 |
We are now backstage, right outside the General Manager's office. Two women can be heard talking inside, one of them is, obviously, the woman in charge Yulia Kirilenko. Her Russian accent leaves no doubt about it. As for the other one... We only hear her saying an almost whispered "Thank you", not enough to recognize a voice that still sounds, somehow, familiar.
Luckily for us, it doesn't take too long before the door opens, and Melissa Reeves is seen walking out of the GM office. The cameraman tries to follow, but a simple gesture of her hands and a stern glance immediately change his mind. Mel walks down the hallway without saying a word or even turning back, disappearing around the corner. The camera then cuts back to ringside.

Singles Match
Franky Harris VS Dakota LockardBoth men were set to make their debut last week, but the debacle with Ozzie Savell spoiled their first appearance with the Orange Brand of MWE. Frankie got a way out of that, since he was scheduled to face Oz, while Dakota came home with a terrible headache after Savell smashed a bottle on his skull. Either way, tonight they both had the chance to show the Millennium Fans what they’re capable of. Lockard started off strong, attacking the opponent with some forearm shots that rocked the big man. He then sprinted at the ropes and charged at him with a clothesline. He gave it another try, but even this wasn’t enough to take him off his feet. A third attempt saw The Beef anticipating him with a clothesline of his own, with a completely different outcome. Charlotte applauded the action of her client, who now picked Dakota up and pushed him against the ropes, lifting his huge leg and stopping his momentum with a big boot. The Beef bounced against the ropes and jumped on the opponent, but Big D rolled out of the way avoiding being squashed by the three hundred pounder. The former Portland Pro superstar was keeping the big man down wrapping his legs around his and twisting his ankle and knee in a heel hook. From ringside, Charlotte kept encouraging her client, guiding him and helping him pushing through the pain, dragging himself and the opponent towards the ropes. The referee ordered Dakota to let him go, which he did obviously only after holding on for four more seconds. Without giving Franky a chance to stand up, he started stomping that same leg, dragging him away from the ropes with great effort and applying another submission, a figure four leglock this time. Harris screamed in pain, trying to drag himself once again toward the ropes who seemed so far away. Unable to reach them, he opted for a different strategy, breaking free by punching the opponent’s leg, forcing him to break the submission. Franky slowly stood back up limping on his weakened leg, but Lockard relentlessly hit him with a low dropkick, forcing him on his knee and following with a shining wizard, dropping into a cover for a very close near fall. The leg was definitely bothering Harris and Dakota kept targeting it with some stiff kicks. Luckily for him, his speed wasn’t something he had to rely on to win the match, when he could count on his impressive strength. At first he almost decapitated Lockard with a massive lariat, picking him up and dropping him on the mat with a powerslam. A loud “Beef! Beef!” chant raised from the very vocal Hutchinson’s fans, firing up the big man who once again lifted the opponent for another powerslam, and a third one for good measure. Dakota came back with yet another kick to the knee, charging at the ropes and running right into an STO from Harris, who tried a cover only getting a two count. He looked back at his manager, who clapped her hands and told him to go for his killing blow. Franky stood back up and, despite the bad leg, lifted Dakota in a pumphandle position and dropped him down with an ace crusher. And this time Lockard wasn’t able to kick out. WINNER: Franky Harris BY: Pinfall (Beef Crusher), 9:17 |
We cut backstage to see the Canadian Knightmare, Nikki Knight standing in her ring gear as she stretched. The camera comes closer and an interviewer is about to ask the blonde...something. But before they can even say a word Nik is standing up and holds out a hand to shut them up.
NIKKI:
Nope. Don’t even start.
The blonde rolled her eyes and rolled her shoulders as she resumed stretching.
NIKKI:
I don’t care what you have to say, what questions you have about last show and whatever else you plan on saying to waste my time. I’m focused, my match tonight means more than someone like you could ever imagine. So please, kindly, bugger off and let me return to what I’m doing. Any questions you have will be answered in action. And maybe at a later date if I’m feeling generous.
Nikki waved the interviewer away and resumed stretching, shaking her head at the annoyance of it all.

Singles Match
Nikki Knight VS Tiny DesThe returning veteran Nikki Knight was scheduled to debut last week against Dakota Lockard, but her match never happened since her opponent couldn’t make it to the ring. Tonight she was set to face Jacob Figgins’ sister who was looking to get back on track after coming up short last week in her match against Liv Mercer, more so considering she was performing tonight in front of her people, being born in this very state, Mission Hills to be precise. She definitely started with the right foot, dodging a clothesline and answering with a couple of quick kicks, hitting the ropes and coming back at her with a springboard crossbody. Nikki kicked out in one and popped back up on her feet, ducking Des’ right hand and sliding behind her back, wrapping her arm around her neck and dropping her on her extended knee for a backbreaker/neckbreaker combination. With the opponent down, she wrapped both hands around her face and pulled back, trying an early submission win with a crossface. With the ropes being not too far, it was quite easy for Tiny Des to reach them with her foot, escaping the submission and getting back to her feet. Nikki charged at her and ended up outside the ring when the opponent dropped down and pulled down the top rope. The daredevil hometown hero didn’t hesitate to jump on her with a springboard moonsault. When the fight came back to the ring, the young Figgins was still in control, almost getting a victory after hitting her Destiny Drop (springboard reverse ddt), but the veteran managed to raise her shoulder. Tiny Des picked her up and after a couple of knee strikes to the stomach, lifted her for a snap suplex, floating into another cover for another two count. With the fans firmly behind her, she stayed on the attack, kicking Nikki in the stomach and following with a neckbreaker. She then climbed to the top rope, ready to take flight. Knight desperately launches herself against the ropes, causing Destiny to lose equilibrium ending up sitting on the top turnbuckle, making her an easy target for a superplex. Knight finally had the control of the match, relying mostly on her striking ability to wear down the opponent. She showed great agility with the Chivalry Is Dead, a handspring Enziguri that knocked down Tiny Des for a count of two. As the match went on, the injuries suffered by the end of her sister and that forced her to take all this time away from the ring seemed to be just a pale memory, although some ring rust was still affecting her, allowing Destiny to stop her momentum with a codebreaker, to which she followed with a 450 from the top rope. High risk and no reward for Tiny Des who crashed on the mat after missing widely. Nikki capitalized on the mistake with her Knightmare (Snapmare Driver) to get her first win in Riot WINNER: Nikki Knight BY: Pinfall (Knightmare), 8:54 |
We cut to backstage where Riot roster member, Cole Gregory, is seen wrapping up his fists in preparation for his Invictus Rules match later in the evening. He has a semi-serious look on his face as he watches his hands get wrapped. He then looks up as sees the camera fixed on him and a small smile breaks through his serious features.
Cole Gregory:
You know, for some time now, I have been looking for a place that just… I don’t know, fit my style. Between the striking and other various training I have in my past, I just couldn’t find a spot that really allowed me to grow and flourish. But then here comes the announcement from Millennium about the Riot brand with those rules, I feel like I could flourish.
He takes a moment, watching his hands being wrapped.
Cole Gregory:
My first match? I was able to submit Brendan and man… It felt good. It felt like that’s exactly where I should have been from the start, a perfect place for my skill set to really just shine and thrive. I was on cloud nine, I was primed and ready to go and it was amazing. It was the most natural and comfortable I have felt in a long, long time. But unfortunately with that.. I guess I got a bit too comfortable.
He looks down and lets out a small sigh, thinking over last shows match against Dean.
Cole Gregory:
I had that match well in control. I had him where I wanted him and instead of putting him away, I was more interested in putting on a show and entertaining the fans. I lost focus on what’s most important and that is winning the match. The fans are going to enjoy a quick knockout or submission just as much as they will enjoy a long brutal fight. So tonight? I’m taking on Tobie Nox Thorne and I respect the hell out of her. But I also need to get back to winning in that ring and show that not only do I deserve to be here but that I deserve to be in the championship conversations. So Tobie, I love and respect you so much and that’s why I know we are going to have an amazing battle tonight and I’m looking forward to it.

Invictus Rules
Tobie Nox Thorne VS Cole GregoryInvictus Rules
Tobie looked great in her transition to the Invictus rules, walking out with a win against Brendan Callaghan by decision, after three intense round. In her second match tonight she was set to face Cole Gregory who, despite a minor setback last week, should still be considered one of the top contenders in the division. First Round: It was clear since the beginning that Cole did his homework and studied the opponent’s previous match. Well aware of how dangerous she can be on the ground, he kept himself away from her grasp, exploiting his kicks to keep her at bay. Both wrestler were extremely cautious in the first minutes of the match, careful not to leave any opening to their opponent. The pace suddenly picked up when one of Cole’s kicks caught her right on the side of her head, leaving her stunned for a brief moment that Gregory exploited taking a run against the ropes and flooring her with a running knee. Thorne gets back to her feet, walking right into a spinning heel kick from Gregory. Cole picked her up and whipped her against the ropes, driving her on the mat with a snap spinebuster. Much to everyone’s surprise, Tobie was able to wrap her legs around him locking Gregory in her guard. He tried to punch her, but she blocked his right hand and pushed it down against her leg, switching position and trap him in a choke hold. Somehow Cole was able to wrestle his way out of it, but Tobie was took him down again with a headscissors, landing a spinning heel kick before the bell rang. Judges Scores: Kirilenko: Gregory 10-9 Dyson: Thorne 10-9 Valero: Draw 10-10 Second Round: The perfectly even score after the first round pushed both competitors to step up their game in round 2. TNT dodged some strikes from Cole, charging at the ropes and using them as a springboard to bounce back with an elbow shot. Gregory was quick to get back to his feet, blocking a punch from the opponent and surprising her with a jumping knee. He then grabbed her by her wrist and whipped her against the ropes, flipping her over his head with a back body drop. Tobie landed awkwardly on her shoulder, quickly grabbing her arm with a grimace of pain. A lucky break for Cole who targeted the arm with a couple of kicks, forcing her to cower back in the corner. She defended her the best she could creating herself an opening with a knee to the gut and sending Gregory face first against the middle turnbuckle with a drop toe hold. But she was struggling, pretty much fighting with one arm. And that was something someone like Cole would take advantage of. He only needed the perfect opportunity, and it presented itself when he caught her leg after a kick attempt and took her down with a dragon screw leg whip. He then applied a Kimura Lock, leaving Tobie no chance but to tap. WINNER: Cole Gregory BY: Submission (Kimura Lock), Round 2; 3:57 |
Gabriel Hooke is standing a the catering table backstage, carbing up before his match. The plastic plate he is loaded with stacks of pretzels and rice cakes, and he is currently picking through the selection of juices. Not being able to decide between cranberry and cranberry-pomegranate, he takes one of each.
To his right, Dean comes into the area and begins looking over the food on display, looking to pick up a couple of granola bars, a banana along with a yoghurt before he notices Gabriel currently around the juices and walks around him to grab a serving of pretzels.
Dean Smith:
Hooke.
If Gabriel is surprised to see his upcoming opponent he does not show it. In fact, he barely acknowledges the bigger man’s presence at all; giving him a grunt of recognition before pulling off the cap to his drink and taking a deep chug from it.
Dean Smith:
Yeah, I wouldn’t have a lot to say either when you’re up against me.
Dean remarks before grabbing himself a pomegranate juice.
Dean Smith:
All I hope is you’re more of a challenge than Cole was.
Gabriel gives a slight smile and shakes his head.
Gabriel Hooke:
Cole Gregory is a great fighter, but his strength is his striking. Just like you, hoss. I’m not going to play that game.
He sets down his plate and turns to address Smith.
Gabriel Hooke:
I’m going to use this Invictus match to prove I’m the best pure wrestler on Riot. You’re going to get a taste of what it’s like to be my grappling dummy when I keep tossing you around that ring. I might not be able to knock you out, but I’ll take you down, again and again and again until the judges call the match in my favor.
Dean Smith:
Then let me ask you one thing.
Dean says rolling his shoulders back as he stands up straight.
Dean Smith:
Why hasn’t that gotten you a win so far? Hmm?
Gabriel smirks, and gives a dismissive shrug to the question, but it’s clear his W-L record is a definite sore spot for him.
Gabirel Hooke:
Yeah, well, sometimes you get the bear, sometimes the bear gets you. Nature of the sport. But tonight, unless you plan on pulling the same kind of stunts I’ve had to overcome in my first two matches, it’s going to be just a matter of who is the better man tonight. No stupid tricks. And if that’s the case, the winner is going to be me.
He thumps his chest for emphasis.
Dean Smith:
I don’t need tricks. I’ve proven in the ring no matter what kind of style people bring, no matter what those judges vote, I decide the winner.
He leans in a little on that final comment.
Dean Smith:
So thump your chest like a gorilla, but be glad you’re finally getting a legit match with a legit ending.
He pats Gabe on his shoulder twice.
Dean Smith:
KO.
He then leans back to stand up straight, taking in the height difference between them.
Dean Smith:
Because one by one, match by match, I’ll get that Invictus Title around my waist. You’ll be ‘that pure wrestler’ in my journey to glory. While you stay...away...from...Bree. Got it?
As Dean speaks Gabriel can be seen getting angrier and angrier, but when he mentions his sister Hooke can’t help but laugh.
Gabriel Hooke:
You’re such a dope. I’m not interested in Bree as anything other than a friend, and even if I wasn’t she’s more than capable of making her own decisions on relationships. My advice? Quit it with the over-protective brother act so you don’t piss her off when you wind up chasing away someone who does care about her in that way.
Gabe picks up his plate and prepares to leave before Dean gives him a “friendly” punch on the shoulder that wobbles the plate in Gabe’s hand.
Dean Smith:
See you out there. Hope what happens out there doesn’t scare you off Invictus matches…
As he walks off to an available table and checks his phone that chimes as the feed comes to an end.

Invictus Rules
Gabriel Hooke VS Dean SmithInvictus Rules
As often happens, a woman was the reason. And the woman in question is Bree Smith, one half of the BreeTee Committee and sister of Dean who, turns out, is extremely protective. Not that Bree would need to be protected anyway… First Round: Undefeated in Invictus competition and with two knockouts under his belt, Dean was clearly the favorite in this match. But that didn’t stop Gabriel from trying, bringing the match to the mat and depriving Dean of his best weapon, wearing him down with an arm triangle choke from which Dean freed himself with a few punches to the top of Gabe’s head. Both men were now back on their feet, Smith seemingly annoyed by how this match started. He charged at the opponent, who ducked and caught his arm while wrapping his legs around his neck, locking him in another triangle choke. The fans were impressed by his agility and technical prowess, reserving him a huge round of applause. But, you can bet, they were equally impressed when Dean, with an impressive feat of strength, lifted the opponent and tossed him against the turnbuckle. After taking a moment to catch his breath, the british man charged ad Hooke, who sidestepped and moved behind his back, lifting him with a german suplex, keeping the lock around the waist for a second and a third, released one. When the bell signaled the end of the round, there was no doubt in the judges or in anyone about the outcome. Judges Scores: Kirilenko: Hooke 10-8 Dyson: Hooke 10-8 Valero: Hooke 10-9 Second Round: Dean didn’t seem too concerned by the scores, he had already been with his shoulders against the wall, and he knows perfectly that all it takes to him to win is one shot. Gabriel knew it as well, and he kept himself out of reach, dodging Smith’s punches and backing down all the way to the corner. Once there he had no other chance than try to fight back, despite his striking game being most definitely not up to par compared to Dean. One of Dean’s punches caused Gabriel’s nose to bleed. After a few knee to the chest, Smith grabbed the visibly stunned opponent and tossed him on the mat, climbing to the top rope ready to end this match with his Mean Dean, the diving flying knee that already gave him two wins in Riot. But despite barely standing on his feet, Hooke was still able to dodge the knee, connecting with a huge forearm to the back of the head following up with a running bulldog. He quickly tried to lock him in another submission, but Dean escaped it and connected with a belly to back suplex of his own. When Gabriel got up, he hit him with a devastating spinning backfist, showing that not only his knees, but his hands too are dangerous weapons. WINNER: Dean Smith BY: Knockout (Spinning Backfist), 2nd Round; 4:19 |
Yulia Kirilenko stands up from her seat next to the announcer's table, where we always see her for the Invictus matches. The blonde russian steps inside the ring, holding a microphone in her hand. The fans welcome her with a loud Riot chant, to which the General Manager replies with a smile.
Yulia Kirilenko:
I take you're enjoying the show, aren't you?
The crowd confirms it, as if there was any need to, with a "YES!" chant.
Yulia Kirilenko:
You know, it really means a lot for me, and i believe for all the people in the back as well, to see this kind of love and support for a "B-Show"
Air quotes on the last word. For as much of a low profile she keeps on social media, you can bet that those words sting someone as proud and competitive as the young russian.
Yulia Kirilenko:
I have a quick announcement to make before leving you to our main event. We are two weeks away from the MWE pay-per-view Deep In The Heart, when we will crown the first champions in Riot history! As you all know, we have two titles to assign here on the Orange Brand. The Riot Championship and the Invictus Championship. And although I already made myself an idea of who deserves the first shot, nothing is officially decided just yet. So, and this is a message to everyone in the back, you still have one week to prove your worth.
The news is welcomed by a round of applause by the fans.
Yulia Kirilenko:
I have one more thing to say before I go, so bear with me please... I talked to Gian earlier. Next Wednesday in New Orleans there will be a six men number one contendership match for the MWE title, currently held by Nessa Wall. It's the only single crossbrand title, which means members of the Riot roster are eligible to compete for it as well. He asked me for two names, and I have to admit it wasn't easy to make a decision but...
A small pause for dramatic effect.
Yulia Kirilenko:
Dean Smith. Cole Gregory. Make us proud.
The fans start chanting for the two competitors named to represent Riot next Wednesday. Yulia leaves the ring, it's time for the main event.

Tag Team Match
Uncanny Socialites VS Jetpack
And it was time for the main event, the highly anticipated match between the reigning MWE Tag Team Champions Jetpack and the Uncanny Socialites, the two most decorated teams in the company. A lot of history between these two teams, started back in IYHWF before crossing paths again here in Millennium. The match started with Penny and Rebecca Saint moving in circles, locking up and trading holds. Saint had Penny in a hammerlock, but the blonde girl was able to turn things around, switching to head lock and taking Rebecca down. The exchange continued on the mat, until both kipped up back to their feet and stared at each other intensely. The fans showed their appreciation for this display of technical prowess with a round of applause. Rebecca seemed to be in control in this first part of the match, resisting the initial flurry of offense from the opponent with a grounded dragon sleeper after taking her down with a roundhouse kick at the end a series of hard strikes. Penny wrestled her way out of it and stood back up, blocking a punch from Saint and connecting with an uppercut, whipping the opponent against the ropes and taking her down to her knees with a low dropkick, hitting the ropes as well to gain momentum and kicking her skull with a running big boot. Penny then tagged her partner in, and Jet immediately wrapped his arms around Rebecca's waist for a deadlift German Suplex. Blanchard kept control of the match showing all his arsenal of suplexes, coming close to the win after a Northern Lights. Kelsey Spencer from the apron asked for the crowd support and the Hutchinson fans didn't let her down, starting a chant pro Uncanny Socialites, to which the other half of the crowd answered with a "Jetpack 4ever" chant. Inside the ring, Rebecca finally created herself an opening, wiggling away from a suplex attempt and pushing Jet against the turnbuckle, making the way to her corner. Penny quickly took the tag and tackled Saint before she could reach Kelsey. Grabbing her leg, PenPen dragged her back to the center of the ring and pulled her back up. Saint fought back desperately shot for shot, somehow emerging victorious from the exchange and taking the champion down with a headbutt, finally reaching her corner and allowing her partner in. The pace of the match definitely picked up when Kelsey entered the match, living up her moniker of Blue Hurricane. After tossing Penny around with a series of Japanese arm drags, she connected her patented Cartwheel Legdrop, which only gave her a near fall. Wasting no time, she picked up the opponent and, after a series of chops, whipped her in the corner, charging at her and flipping her back in the middle of the ring with a monkey flip. Kaplan landed on her feet and immediately went for the tag to an eager Jet Blanchard who stepped into the ring and charged at Spencer, taking her down with a Sling Blade and following with a springboard moonsault. Kelsey raised her knees to counter the move, rolling Jet on his shoulders after with a quick cradle, getting yet another near fall. The Uncanny Socialites had now complete control, quick tags and combined moves to try take Jet out and almost succeding in their mission with the Saint-Hearted (Socialite Edition) when Kelsey had Blanchard in a straightjacket position allowing Rebecca to hit her trademark discus elbow smash. The things turned back in the champions' favor when, after a fast tag, Jet took Becky down to her knees with a chop block and Penny slammed her face on the mat with a bulldog. She made the cover after the move they call Bam! but it wasn't enough to keep the Uncanny Socialite down. The match passed the fifteen minutes mark, and neither team seemed to be slowing down. The action was back and forth, frequent tags and a lot of near falls were keeping the fans on the edge of their seat. Kelsey was now in the ring with Jet, and he had just kick out from the Blue Thunder Bomb. Spencer stood up, looking at her opponent wondering what it was going to take to keep him down tonight. And then an eerie mist flowed throughout the air and "Six Days Of Silence" by Creepy Mr Onion started to play. The Misery was here! Dressed in his usual black morph suit with her manager, The Manic, standing next to him, the mysterious man simply stood on the entrance stage without moving. But his presence was enough to distract the Uncanny Socialites, who had been targeted and confronted by The Misery in the previous weeks. The music quickly faded out and the man in black raised his microphone, saying three simple words. The Misery: It's almost time. As soon as he dropped the microphone, Jet hit Kelsey with his Oh Good Lord (Springboard Lariat) going for a cover. Rebecca was almost mesmerized by The Misery, realizing one moment too late what was happening in the ring. When she jumped on Jet to break the pin, the referee had already counted to three. WINNER: Jetpack BY: Pinfall (Oh Good Lord), 16:28 |
Alyx Valero:
This is ridiculous, he just ruined our main event!
Zackary Dyson:
It seemed like Kelsey was ready to go for her Deprivation DDT, but the appearance of The Misery possibly costed the Uncanny Socialites the win.
Alyx Valero:
Ugh... A great night ruined by that creep...
Zackary Dyson:
Definitely not the ending a great night like this deserved. Anyway, our time is up, Riot will be back next Friday from Rio Rancho, in New Mexico!
