EXT. PERSHING CENTER - NEBRASKA
Getting out of their silver car and heading to the gym is Bree as she’s dressed in her dark grey gear with a very faded red wash. Her hair is up high in a ponytail and she’s carrying her filtered water bottle with the dark red and black gym bag hanging off her right shoulder.
Dean wears his black gym shorts that look a little baggy along with a tight fitted red TAPOUT shirt, some short black socks on with a pair of black running shoes as he carries his bag across him while taking a quick swig of water.
GABRIEL HOOKE:
"Smith."
"Smith."
The camera pans to the right, revealing Hooke. He’s dressed in a heavy sweatshirt and jeans. His hair is pulled back in a man-bun, and has assumed a defensive posture, legs spread slightly, arms raised
Bree and Dean turn to look at Gabriel calling out their surname with Bree giving him a welcome smile while Dean’s eyes narrow at him, peering down at him from his 6’4” statured height
BREE:
"Hey, dude."
"Hey, dude."
Bree raises her chin to him as Gabriel was her height and she gives Dean a light elbow to be polite.
DEAN SMITH:
"Hooke."
"Hooke."
He utters in response after a second and a half pause. Gabriel’s eyes dart briefly to Bree, but quickly his attention returns to her brother.
GABRIEL HOOKE:
"So, are we going to do this now?"
"So, are we going to do this now?"
He asks, referencing their earlier plan to fight in the parking lot before tonight’s Riot. Dean’s shoulders tense up as he rolls them forward and clenches his southpaw.
DEAN SMITH:
"We can do it right here, right now. I’ll put you through that uber’s windshield."
"We can do it right here, right now. I’ll put you through that uber’s windshield."
Dean says referencing the car just in his peripheral eyeline but Bree gets in between them
GABRIEL HOOKE:
"Alright."
"Alright."
He quickly pulls the sweatshirt off over his head, revealing his thick bare torso. Tossing the garment aside, he crouches down into a wrestler’s pose, as if he’s about to lock up with his bigger, bulkier foe.
BREE:
"No, no going through Uber’s or breaking brothers. No. This is my place and you both have your matches to focus on. You’ve got Cole and your first main event."
"No, no going through Uber’s or breaking brothers. No. This is my place and you both have your matches to focus on. You’ve got Cole and your first main event."
She says to Dean who keeps his eyes locked on Gabriel.
BREE:
"And you have your tag team match to win, dude."
"And you have your tag team match to win, dude."
She swiftly turns to Gabriel.
BREE:
"Ok?"
"Ok?"
Gabe looks over to Bree.
GABRIEL HOOKE:
"Yeah, I know. And I know this dumb, but, uh-"
"Yeah, I know. And I know this dumb, but, uh-"
He pauses, not sure what to say. The circumstances are dumb, and counter-productive. They’re risking injury before a match, and for what? Macho posturing? Still, he can’t back down now. His mind races for an appropriate response, finally settling on-
GABRIEL HOOKE:
"A guy’s got to do what a guy’s got to do."
"A guy’s got to do what a guy’s got to do."
DEAN SMITH:
"And a brother’s got to do what a brother’s got to do to protect his sister."
"And a brother’s got to do what a brother’s got to do to protect his sister."
He says making that point adamant as Bree pushes her hands down to get them to relax.
BREE:
"Let’s relax now, dudes. Gabe’s not even interested in me and Dean’s a nice guy I promise."
"Let’s relax now, dudes. Gabe’s not even interested in me and Dean’s a nice guy I promise."
She says to them both.
GABRIEL HOOKE:
"Right, well, I still think we need this settled. Maybe now isn’t the best time, but, at some point. After the show?"
"Right, well, I still think we need this settled. Maybe now isn’t the best time, but, at some point. After the show?"
Dean smirks and nods
DEAN SMITH:
"Yeah. I’ll happily take you on, Invictus rules if you can hang in the division."
"Yeah. I’ll happily take you on, Invictus rules if you can hang in the division."
He says taking a step forward with Bree still playing separation between them. By now Gabriel has dropped out of his combat stance. He straightens, and shrugs.
GABRIEL HOOKE:
"Works for me. If Kirilenko is still interested, she can book us a match. Fighting you and getting paid for it would be a win-win situation."
"Works for me. If Kirilenko is still interested, she can book us a match. Fighting you and getting paid for it would be a win-win situation."
BREE:
"Good."
"Good."
DEAN SMITH:
"I’m sure she’ll be interested in seeing me go 3-0 in her Invictus division."
"I’m sure she’ll be interested in seeing me go 3-0 in her Invictus division."
And then he readjusts his bag.
DEAN SMITH:
"You better not be on any machines I need today."
"You better not be on any machines I need today."
As he begins to walk into the gym and leave Bree with Gabriel.
BREE:
"He is a nice guy, I promise. But sometimes dudes need to slug it out to be friends?"
"He is a nice guy, I promise. But sometimes dudes need to slug it out to be friends?"
She shrugs. Hooke’s expression implies he seems to have doubts about that assertion. He nods, grabs his sweatshirt off the ground, and stuffs himself back into it.
GABRIEL HOOKE:
"Sure. Anything is possible, I guess."
"Sure. Anything is possible, I guess."
He pauses for a moment and then looks behind him towards the Pershing Center.
GABRIEL HOOKE:
"I got to go. Want to find Zakari to go over our match plans."
"I got to go. Want to find Zakari to go over our match plans."
Gabriel name drops the wrestler he’s (reluctantly) tagging with tonight.
BREE:
"This time is your win, dude. You and Zak need to bring it 120 tonight…"
"This time is your win, dude. You and Zak need to bring it 120 tonight…"
She says crossing her fingers in front of him, wishing him good luck.
GABRIEL HOOKE:
"Yeah, I know. It’s going to be a challenge, seeing how she and I haven’t tagged together before. Or trained together. Or talked strategy. But if we can pull it together and beat Levi and Olivia Wythe it’ll help put to rest any idea that Riot is the b-show to Millenium."

DEAN SMITH:
"Bree, let’s go."
"Bree, let’s go."
And Bree gives Gabriel a tiny, little, harmless punch on the shoulder.
BREE:
"Catch you later, Dude."
"Catch you later, Dude."
As she walks on in to catch up with Dean and help him prepare for his main event as Gabriel gives a nod and heads off in a different direction.
