Riot in South Dakota
Live from Sioux Falls Arena in Sioux Falls, SD
Friday , January 18th, 2019
As the camera cuts inside the Sioux Falls Arena, the whole building is plunged in darkness. Three Days Grace's "Riot" starts playing out of the loudpeakers, a beautiful light show instead of the pyrotechnics illuminate the stage when the chorus hits, the Riot logo appeating on the screen. The camera quickly pans all over the fans who, in the best Millennium tradition, brought some hand made signs to the show tonight.
"Let's start a Riot" "Hooke me up" "Brendan Callaghan stole my tacos" "Mean Dean" "Des is my favorite Figgins" "What the fuck is RUSH?" "Jetpack 4ever"
We finally cut to the announcers table where we find Zackary Dyson and Alyx Valero welcoming the fans.
Zackary Dyson:
Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the first ever episode of Riot!
Alyx Valero:
Look at these fans, Zack! They are excited and I gotta admit, I am too!
Zackary Dyson:
It was 10 days ago at Imperium that Riot was announced. Since then, there has been a lot of hype surrounding MWE second show, a lot of curiosity on what, as our boss Yulia Kirilenko never gets tired to say, won't be a b-show.
Alyx Valero:
Damn right! Speaking of hype, how about the Invictus Championship, huh?
Zackary Dyson:
Well, Alyx, that's definitely one of the most interesting things about Riot. Hybrid rules, three 5 minutes rounds like MMA, wins can only happen by KO, submission or, if they go through all the three rounds, by judges decision.
Alyx Valero:
Which means you, me and the boss herself, Zacky. You forgot to say that, unlike MMA, dropping the opponent on his head is not only allowed but, if you ask me, highly suggested.
Zackary Dyson:
That could definitely be an interesting tactic to put away your opponent. But before we kick off with the first match, I have a question for you, Alyx... Are you ready to Riot?
Alyx Valero:
Hell yeah!
Backstage, the camera's focus on the door that opens to the fading sun outside as Millennium signed talent, Bree steps inside carrying a basketball under her arm and wearing her zipped up hoody around her waist. Her Bringing It 120 T-shirt on underneath in red with some black shorts and calf high socks on, sporting some newer basketball shoes.
Inside she goes to grab the last water bottle sitting on the table for talent as RIOT staff had gone to fetch more. She grabs for it unknowingly just as another member of the newly formed brand tries to do the same.
Gabriel Hooke:
Ehrp, sorry.
Gabriel Hooke apologizes. He relinquishes his grip on the water and gestures for Bree to take it.
Bree Smith:
Hey! You can have it. You got to it first.
She says pushing the bottle back towards him. He pauses briefly, considering whether or not to accept her offer. Finally, he replies.
Gabriel Hooke:
No, no. I’m fine. You probably need to you know, hydrate, after your game. Or drills. Or whatever.
He nods towards the ball nestled under the young blonde’s arm.
Bree Smith:
Alright. Do you play basketball, dude?
Bree unscrews the cap and guzzles about half the bottle.
Gabriel Hooke:
Not really. I mean, I’ve played a little. Pick up games. But I did football in high school, and wrestling of course.
Bree Smith:
We should play sometime, after your win tonight of course.
Bree says while she puts her ball away in her gym bag.
Bree Smith:
You got this tonight.
Hooke smiles slightly at the vote of confidence.
Gabriel Hooke:
I think so. I hope so. Not going to lie; it would be gutting to lose to a wrestler like Zakari Wiley. She’s pretty much the antithesis of everything I think this sport should be. Everything I am.
Bree Smith:
Then you better keep stay sharp and show her who you are and you stand for.
As she takes another zip.
Bree Smith:
Plus, you get to be the first ever person to win on RIOT if you win tonight.
She lightly nudges him. Gabriel’s smile gets wider.
Gabriel Hooke:
Ha. I suppose that’s true. It would be a good way to start my time here obviously. Opening a show, especially when it’s the first show, can set the bar for everyone. You know: first impressions and all that. You only get one chance at making a good one.
Bree has a very mild dejected look.
Bree Smith:
My first impression wasn’t exactly a win, so if you do win then I’m not going to be going easy on you when we play football.
She says with a competitive pat on his shoulder and finishes the water. Her words seem to give Gabriel some concern. His smile vanishes, and he gives Bree a solemn gaze.
Gabriel Hooke:
Hey, maybe it wasn’t, but you’re still impressing people. You and Teagan are going to be champions one day, no doubt.
Bree Smith:
I hope so, dude. My sis is already pressuring me.
She adds a nervous chuckle before her stomach growls for some food.
Bree Smith:
I’m going to grab a sandwich and then get a seat to watch your match. No pressure, dude.
And Bree then heads off to leave Gabriel to head off with his match coming up next.

Singles Match
Gabriel Hooke VS Zakary WileyThey weren’t the twenty thousand that usually attend the Millennium shows, but the fans who came to Sioux Falls tonight were as vocal as those on wednesdays. In this great atmosphere, Gabriel Hooke and Zakary Wiley found themselves making history as the first ever to compete in a Riot show, with the pressure of setting the bar for the rest of night. The two wrestlers met in the middle of the ring, with Hooke immediately showing his flawless technique, grabbing her arm and twisting it behind her back with a hammerlock. Zakary tried to free herself with an elbow smash but Gabriel ducked it and quickly moved in front of her and, still holding his arm twisted behind her back, applied a front facelock lifting her in the air and falling backwards with an Hammerlock Suplex. In one fluid motion he got back to his feet and lifted her for another suplex, and a third one, this time keeping her upside down for a few seconds before eventually dropping her down, earning the first round of applause by the fans, who definitely appreciated the skills he showed in this first moments of the match. Before he could capitalize on it, Wiley wisely rolled out of the ring. She took her sweet time outside, entering the ring only when the referee reached nine and rolled out once again, clearly trying to get on Gabriel’s nerves. And it worked, as eventually Hooke left the ring and chased her, for the joy of the fans that were annoyed by the Black Shadow’s behavior. After running around the ring a couple of times, with Gabriel always a few steps behind, Zakary slid back in the ring, hit the ropes on the opposite side and took her opponent down with a low dropkick to the knee, following up with a snap ddt. She then rolled him on his back and hooked the leg, but Hooke kicked out. The fans had the chance to witness a good match between these two, with Gabriel trying to keep the pace slow and Zakary taking any chance to speed up and give show of her aerial ability. Gabe, on his end, was trying to ground her with his technique, wrapping his arms around her with a waistlock and hitting a german suplex. Without losing the grasp, he went for a second one, getting up to his feet once again and trying for a third. La Sombra Negro was able to stop it with a couple of stiff elbows that caught the Minnesota’s son on the jaw, forcing him to break the hold. Miss Machiavellian followed up with a Pele Kick knocking Gabe down. She climbed to the top rope and leaped off for her Total Eclipse, but the Flying Legdrop missed the target when Gabriel rolled out of the trajectory. He was quick to capitalize with an Alabama Slam into a jackknife cover. Zakary was able to kick out once again, and the contenders locked up once again. The Black Shadow was able to push the opponent against the ropes and when the referee went to separate them, she poked Gabriel’s eyes, quickly rolling him up with a schoolboy pin and making sure to grab his trunks to keep him down for the three count. WINNER: Zakary Wiley BY: Pinfall (Without A Shadow), 8:31 |
Early on in the show the Sioux Falls fans are in for a treat as Stand Up (For The Champions) by Right Said Fred plays and out on the stage Jet Blanchard appears, dressed classy this evening as there’s plenty of time before their match. Penelope Kaplan joins him as she bounces up and down, waving to the fans in attendance and she laughs as she has to pause to adjust her spangly colorfully striped dress.
I was built to be the best
Number one and nothing less
Leave me to my destiny
I have waited patiently
I have vision' oh I believe
I know I can count on me
The pair make their way down the ring, and Jet leaps up onto the apron, sits on the middle rope and holds up the top as Penelope climbs the steps and then ducks between to enter the ring. The pair are proudly wearing their new MWE Tag Team Championship belts around their waists and show them off to the fans as Jet helps Penny stand on the turnbuckles with her shiny heels.
Oh I have vision' oh can't you see
I'm on the move make way for me
There’s a lot of cheering and clapping, as Penny directs some people from concessions to pass out popcorn to the fans before carefully climbing down. She gets a microphone and waits as the music dies down before she nods at Jet and speaks.
Penny:
Hello Sioux Falls South Dakota!
Hello Sioux Falls South Dakota!
She holds that note a bit to let the fans cheer before she smiles and carries on.
Penny:
Here we are on the inaugural Riot show for Millennium Wrestling and I have to say what a whirlwind it’s been! A sheer amazing rollercoaster ride for your Jetpack team let me tell you! We went from being restless to being rocket geared once more, taking on some of the hottest and stiffest competition we’ve faced in a good spell and it was glorious and just… it was tough, and there were times where it almost wasn’t, but in the end we are here! We are your first MWE Tag Team Champions!

She turns the microphone slightly to Jet who grins.
Jet Blanchard:
Truth, truth. It's been great, getting such a big opportunity after being Down Under for a good long time. I may be a Southern man who loves his Momma and respects family, hard work, and biscuits n’ gravy… but the Aussies man, they embraced us. Made us feel like family.

Penny smiles and nods before she picks up.
Penny:
And that’s a good thing, because we think of our fans like that. Family. Not everyone is always going to agree, think or feel the same way. But in the end we have each other and we do what we do for each and every one of you that buys a ticket and takes the effort to come see us do what we do best, live and in person. Especially if you like cake, too.

Penny:
Oh man, they have dark chocolate cake today with this whipped cream icing and there’s sprinkles.

Jet turns to her, and blinks.

Penny:
Sprinkles, Jet. SPRINKLES. You know who gets sprinkles? Winners.

She giggles and then turns back to the fans.
Penny:
So thank you all for coming tonight, to experience this one of a kind feeling first hand. To see us do what we do, in the Main Event here tonight, where we’re going to defend these beautiful championships against The Might Now Thrive. I’m not sure what they’re all about but honey, they seem like they’re going to be a lot of fun and we’re ready. See you all soon and enjoy the show, we love you all!

Tiny sat upon the the peak of the Souix Falls arena. From the time of day, this seemed recorded from a time before the fans piled in. She glanced at the world below before she hoisted herself up and stepped away from the ledge. The wind whipped through the daredevils hair as she smiled.
Tiny Des:
This is how we become acquainted. Tiny stands atop to see what view the venue offers. She listens to the reverberations of when the arena stands hollow. She knows where the sound will bounce when it is packed to capacity. The roar sets her mind ablaze. The excitement, like cake. Fresh and warm too hot for frosting, turning it to nothing more than a glaze. But she must have a bite.
Tiny leisurely strolled atop the roof , and combed fingers through her hair
Tiny Des:
The aroma of competition does the same for Tiny. Tiny as her name states might be small. But when the bell reverberates in her ears she swiftly ascends. She craves the rush. She must feel the wind whipped her hair.
She suddenly palmed the lense of the camera and the scene faded

In a backstage training area we see a close up view of Dean with his right hand up guarding his jaw and his left landing quick jabs to Bree's padded hands. As he delivers combos there's a grunt coming from him and Bree obviously pulls a worried face as he doesn't pull any punches with her.
After he lands a variable knock out hook shot he'd landed before Bree backs away with a little jump back and then a step.
Bree Smith:
Dean, try not to break my hands, dude. I wrestle too you know.
Bree puts it out as a friendly reminder though her hands were a little red from their one last training session. Dean mops his face and neck with a towel and then rests against the wall.
Dean Smith:
Sorry. I just got in the zone and I want to win this one badly.
He says with a stern smoulder look with a poke of his cheek by his tongue, thinking to himself.
Bree Smith:
I know. I didn't win my debut, Luna did so it would be cool to have two thirds of the family winning their debut match.
Dean Smith:
Bree. Don't sweat the debut loss, you're doing great. Just tonight is the benchmark for all Invictus matches, kinda nice to get it but I'm against a Savell and those rugrats don't wrestle for nothing.
To which Bree nods. Having met Julian Savell at Golden Globe Pro and gifted herself a pair of his shades she still had that her sister Millie now had.
Bree Smith:
They're accomplished but you're amazing. I mean I had pads on and my hands are kinda swelling up.
Dean Smith:
Come on, I said I was sorry.
Dean shows a real admission of guilt as he sighs and glances down at Bree's reddening hands.
Bree Smith:
No, dude, I was saying that Ozzie might end up down. Either from those punches or that wicked finisher you got.
Which makes Dean's apologetic look of concern, slight drop in the jaw transition seemlessly to a wide smirk that he looks down and coughs to try and hide, though Bree saw it and said nothing.
Dean Smith:
Yeah. Well, Ozzie's got that to look out for.
Bree Smith:
I think you mean try and look forward to.
Bree says tossing Dean a bottle of water but doesn't get all of it and it falls short, though it lands perfectly upright to Bree's surprise.
Bree Smith:
Woah!
She looks astonished by the toss.
Dean Smith:
Next time to me, yeah?
And then does a gesture with his head towards the door to take his sister on a walk to put Bree safely in his locker room while he had to go out and fulfil his promise.

Singles Match
Tiny Des VS Tobie Nox ThorneA very interesting matchup in the second contest of the night, with Jacob Figgins’ little sister taking on the former [R]evolution Pro tag team champion Tobie Nox Thorne, who just a couple of weeks ago quit the company and relinquished the title, the reason yet to be known. And it was clear since the start that this was going to be a high octane, fast paced match with Tobie immediately taking Des down with an arm drag, and going for a second one as soon as she got up again. Third time wasn’t a charm tonight, as the Kansas born was able to block it and surprise Thorne with a kick to the stomach that doubled her over and allowed Destiny to catch her with a neckbreaker. The former BWF Sovereign Champion proved that the time away from the ring didn’t affect her unquestioned skills, almost putting the French girl away with her Destiny Drop (Springboard Inverted DDT), but Tobie wasn’t going down so easily. In fact, she was able to turn things around when she ducked a clothesline and, after performing a handspring, she bounced against the ropes and hit her with a back elbow, immediately getting back to her feet with a kip up. Figgins took a little longer to get up, walking straight into a spinning heel kick that only gave Tobie a two count. The blonde girl didn’t slow down, not even when Des rolled out of the ring to catch a break. After a short run against the ropes, the second generation wrestler leaped over the top rope with a somersault plancha, a move the Sioux Falls fans definitely appreciated, tributing her a huge round of applause that put a big smile on the former tag champion, boosting her confidence. But when the match went back into the ring Tiny Des turned the momentum back in her favor countering with the Leveler (Leg Lariat), following up with repeated running sentons that sent the fans in a frenzy. When Tobie kicked out, the crowd erupted in loud cheers, firmly getting behind TNT and her resilience. And she really proved her toughness out here tonight, getting through a lot of punishment with Destiny now targeting her back with multiple knee drops after a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Once again Des attempted a pinfall, but there was still fight in her young opponent. Determined to put away that fire once and for all, Destiny stole a page from her brother, locking Tobie in a full nelson hold and slamming her face first with the Moonshine Delirium. Showing great ring awareness, TNT rested her foot on the bottom rope. Destiny shook her head, wondering what she’d need to do to put the opponent away. And the fans were asking themselves the same question when the blonde girl landed on her feet from a top rope hurricanrana and immediately took Des down with an enziguri kick. Both women were now laying on the mat, exhausted as the referee started to count them both. Slowly, they made it up to their feet and it was once again Tobie who was more reactive, ducking her right punch and following up with a quick strike to the ribs. As soon as Des lowered her guard, TNT followed with a right forearm to the jaw and whipped her to the far corner, charging at her and jumping, bringing both knees to her face. With the opponent down, Tobie climbed to the top rope and dove off with a 450°, finding nothing but the canvas. A mistake Des made the best out of, hitting her Tiny Hammer (Shining Axe Kick) from which Thorne wasn’t able to kick out. WINNER: Tiny Des BY: Pinfall (Tiny Hammer), 11:03 |
The cameras cut to the backstage area and we are inside the dressing room of Olivia Mercer who is one of the highly anticipated debuts here tonight for Riot. Liv is dressed in her ring gear with a leather jacket over it that has her name etched onto the back in silver letters to catch even more attention when she’ll be making her way down the ramp. It’s clear she’s feeling anxious about her debut as she is doing a moonwalk back and forth across the middle of the floor in her locker room before she turns around to face someone who is sitting just out of frame of the camera.
Liv Mercer:
How was that one?
Liv asks this question as she places both of her hands on her hips and the camera pans further back to reveal that she is speaking to her boyfriend, Oz Dalton, who is there tonight to share in her big debut. Oz, sitting with his legs crossed and comically holding his index finger to his chin as if to examine Liv’s moves, nods in approval.
Oz Dalton:
Beautiful… simply beautiful. Majestic even. I like the way your body contours with it, gives me a great view of form.
Liv laughs as she claps her hands together letting the excitement take over.
Liv Mercer:
Fantastic! That first moonwalk needs to set the tone, you know?
As she is speaking, she makes her way closer over to where Oz is sitting, and she leans in to put her hands on his shoulders.
Liv Mercer:
My opponent tonight had this undefeated rookie year over in London, but she’s never had to deal with someone like me before, and I’m looking forward to showing her what a loss feels like.
Oz places hands on her arms, smiling.
Oz Dalton:
Hell yes you will. Nobody has a style like yours, and that's important. First impressions last a lifetime, so leave an impression in the middle of her face.
Liv Mercer:
She calls herself The Brooklyn Barbie, so that might not be such a bad idea.
Liv rolls her eyes before she shakes her head.
Liv Mercer:
It’s just a shame that the Lockdown Champion is on a different show because I was hoping to leave an impression on her face too after she came at me on Twitter.
Oz rocks his head side to side in thought.
Oz Dalton:
Well, invisible boundaries. Just because she's on another show doesn't mean she is safe. Then again, you can always send a message.
Taking out his phone briefly, Oz thumbs through quickly then shows Liv a picture. On the left is Lil’ Kim in the 90s, and on the right is a present day picture. He laughs before composing himself enough to speak.
Oz Dalton:
Brooklyn Barbies don't stand the test of time very well, especially when you fast forward their lifespan.
Liv winces at the picture before she takes her hands and places them under of her chin.
Liv Mercer:
We can’t all be like me.
She wiggles her eyebrows a little bit in a suggestive manner.
Liv Mercer:
After my very successful debut, you and I are going to keep on dancing, might be an all night affair.
Oz raises his eyebrow, smirking.
Oz Dalton:
Good thing me and my dance partner have matching stamina then. We have the rest of our lives to sleep.
Liv sticks her tongue out clearly enjoying the thoughts he’s putting into her head before she takes a step back and adjust her leather jacket.
Liv Mercer:
I’ll be way too excited to sleep anyway. Tonight is my night.
She reaches up with one hand to brush her fingers through her blonde hair quickly.
Liv Mercer:
You want to come and be at ringside? One of the guys at the announce table said he was going to be checking me out.
Oz sniffs quickly and stands up, adjusting his black leather jacket.
Oz Dalton:
I'll always be at ringside with you. And if the announcer wants to stare… he will go blind… accidents happen.
Liv Mercer:
There’s that Oz I love so much.
Liv smiles as she wraps her arms around his neck and leans in to give him a kiss before they pull apart and she bites down on her bottom lip.
Liv Mercer:
Time to go out there and shine like the star I am. I already booked an interview for next week where I can boast about my victory here tonight.
Oz Dalton:
Perfect… and I'm proud of you, you're gonna slay it..
Liv Mercer:
Of course I am, that’s what I do.
Liv winks playfully after she boasts herself up a little and grabs onto Oz’s hand to lead him out of her dressing room. The camera fading out as they make their way down to the ring for her debut match.
Liv Mercer:

Brooklyn Barbie:
Liv without an e, loud, Mercer. There's something to be said about living loud for sure. I mean, living loud, walking on the wild side, that all sounds fun, and it probably leads to a pretty exciting life, but when you step in a ring? A ring like this one? Sometimes it's better to move in near silence.
Earlier today is written across the screen as Paulina Reyes, better known as the Brooklyn Barbie is standing in the middle of the empty Riot ring, just hours before the show is set to premiere on the Riot streaming service.
Brooklyn Barbie:
This makes for quite the match if you look at it. Experience versus inexperience, loud versus quiet, flashy versus humble, this is a match that will truly be of opposites. I have nothing against Liv personally, but I know she tends to rub people the wrong way. It's a great way to gain recognition, especially when you're starting out, but Riot is in its infancy and we all are fighting to stand out. We're all scratching and clawing our way towards the top from the bottom, and it's anyone's game at this point. That's why each and every match counts.
Brooklyn takes a hold of the top rope and gives it a hard pull. She struggles before letting it go.
Brooklyn Barbie:
These ropes? They're unforgiving, Liv. Just bouncing off of them can tear the skin from your back until your raw flesh is exposed. It sounds gross, I know, but it's true. I'm not doubting your desire to become a star here, and maybe you're more than capable of backing up the loud mouth of yours, but trust me, it won't be a cake walk. Between these ropes I feel at home. We travel city to city, and hotels just never feel like our place of comfort, but in this ring? Its familiar, no matter where we happen to end up.
Brooklyn moves to the middle of the ring, looking down at her pink Nikes.
Brooklyn Barbie:
I know I've walked into Riot with a lot to prove. From people doubting the level of competition I've faced in London where I went undefeated for my entire rookie year, to people that wonder how many matches I wrestled in that first year, to some that actually have taken the time to study my stuff from RUSH, there's certainly conversation about me, but tonight is my first opportunity to leave London in the past and show everyone in Riot what I'm all about. I'm not going to work as hard as everyone else, I'm going to work harder because I feel like I have ALOT to prove. In a way its true, what I've done before? It doesn't mean anything here. But tonight, Liv? You get the unfortunate task of being the first person to stand across from me in this ring. You are the first opponent that gets to see first hand what the hype is all about. And Liv tonight? I'm gonna kill all that noise.

Singles Match
The Brooklyn Barbie VS Liv MercerAll eyes were on The Brooklyn Barbie, whose much anticipated debut already created a lot of buzz, with people questioning the legitimacy of her claims to be undefeated her whole rookie year in the English all female promotion RUSH. Waiting for her inside the ring was Liv Mercer, accompanied to the ring by her boyfriend/manager Oz Dalton. The Brooklyn Barbie showed since the first moments that she was no joke, flaunting a great technique easily transitioning from a wrist lock to a hammer lock and finally a headlock, taking the opponent down and keeping her grounded. For a good couple of minutes Liv didn’t seem to be able to find a way to break free from this series of holds, until TBB had her in a side headlock. With a couple of elbows to the side, Mercer forced her to break the hold, but when she tried to run to the ropes, Brooklyn was quick to grab her by the arm and pull her back into a clothesline. With the opponent down, she drove her knees to the ribs a couple of times before dragging her back to her feet. Liv tried a reaction, catching the opponent off guard with a couple of forearm shots, but eventually the Brooklyn Barbie was able to drop her on her knee with a rib breaker, going for the first cover of the match. After the kick out, Liv attempted a comeback of sort, coming out on top from the brawl in the middle of the ring. She set Barbie up with a kick to the stomach before positioning her head under her armpit and nailing a beautiful bridging northern lights suplex. Brooklyn kicked out and easily regained control of the match exploiting a mistake from Mercer and catching her with a codebreaker. Instead of going for a pinfall, she positioned herself next to the opponent and delighted the audience with a standing shooting star press that draw some convinced applauses from the fans. Liv had to resort to cheap tactics to overcome the experience disadvantage, creating herself an opening when she poked the opponent’s eyes. Shrugging off the referee warning, she landed a couple of uppercuts and then whipped the former RUSH wrestler against the ropes, launching her in the air with a back body drop. Following the instructions of Oz outside, Liv kept inflicting more damage to the back by launching her in the corner. She put all her strength in that irish whip, and the impact against the corner was so violent that she fell forward, screaming in pain and immediately holding her back in pain. Liv grabbed her leg and applied an over the shoulders single leg boston crab, smiling at her boyfriend as she kept bending Brooklyn’s leg adding more pressure. Barbie pushed through the pain and eventually reached the ropes, getting the break she desperately needed after, needless to say, Mercer exploited fully the referee count. An hair pull backbreaker gave the blonde girl a two count and another warning from the referee. Oz took advantage of that short window of time the referee was turning his back on him to drag Brooklyn outside and hit her with a lariat, acting innocently when the official turned towards him, called back by the loud boos of the fans. Having seen nothing, the best he could do was to remind Dalton that, should he interfere, he might even cost Live the match. In the meantime Mercer rolled out of the ring and reached once again her opponent, driving her back first against the apron a couple of times before rolling her back in the ring and trying another pinfall, resulting in another two count. While Liv was arguing with the referee, Brooklin grabbed the bottom rope, trying to pull herself up. Oz tried once again to advantage his girlfriend by pulling Barbie down against the ropes, but this time the official turned seemed to have caught him out of the corner of his eye and turned to the manager, yelling something at him. Dalton plead his case, but the referee was standing fast in his resolve, casting him off the ring! The fans mocked him and Liv as they both protested against the official, even more after Brooklyn rolled her up with a quick pinfall, getting a hard fought win in her debut match. WINNER: The Brooklyn Barbie BY: Pinfall (Roll Up), 10:58 |
As we come back from commercial, Seven Nation Army By The White Stripes and Dean makes his entrance to the ring. No shirt to show off the tattooed torso as he calmly walks down to the ring in his trunks, knee pad and boots on. Dean makes sure to roll his broad shoulders and stay loose before sliding straight into the ring and pushing up onto his feet with one swift arc.
As his theme music dies out, he takes a moment to look out at the audience and those who've been attracted by the promise of the Invictus division certainly stray his eye to the shirts and signs.
Dean Smith:
So this is the RIOT crowd I can expect every time I step in the ring?
He pinches his chin for dramatic effect while looking out to the crowd with a smoulder. The crowd look on, almost ready for an insult to follow
Dean Smith:
I like it.
He gives a quick smirk and just as some begin to cheer.
Dean Smith:
Yeah, of course I like it because you people are hungry for something a little different. Something hard hitting, something to break the mould and that's what Yulia has given you.
He said nodding, drawing the crowd in to be more vocal with their cheers.
Dean Smith:
And the Invictus division is going to be that to drive RIOT to stand out as something different. But it needs a champion at the helm to lead this division and that man is ME.
He stops in the middle of the ring to look to his side and add to his pause.
Dean Smith:
I could have joined the main brand with my family and I could have gone to any of the GWA promotions, CWC Promotions, I could have joined approached any wrestling company but I waited for this. I waited for this division to come about and I signed my name here in Riot almost as fast as I can throw a right hook.
Dean then makes a cheeky smirk, flicking his eyebrows up at the brag and then looks over his shoulder at the crowd who cheered him.
Dean Smith:
The Invictus Championship is what I'm after. I know I will look DAMN good with it and battle by battle, it's only a matter of time.
With his tongue in his cheek, he nods, almost tasting victory ahead of him.
Dean Smith:
So let's bring out Ozzie and see how many rounds he can go with the future Invictus champion. Because South Dakota and the whole world is watching…
Dean then flings the microphone behind him to be caught by the official in the ring and paces the ring waiting for Ozzie.

Invictus Rules
Dean VS Ozzie SavellInvictus Rules
The first ever Invictus Rules match saw two representative of famous wrestling families one against the other. On one side the youngest of the Savells, the troubled Ozzie. On the other, Dean, member of the same Smith family that can count the Millennium superstars Luna and Bree amongst their ranks. The fans watched with great anticipation as the referee reminded them the rules of the fight. First Round: For those wondering what kind of match we should expect, the answer came almost immediately, with Dean surprising Ozzie with a jumping knee right off the block, catching him right on the nose and causing him to bleed profusely. Ozzie fell on the mat, spitting some blood on the mat and looking up at Dean, chuckling for some reason. He literally launched himself on Dean taking him to the mat and raining punches on him. Smith tried to protect himself by raising his hands, but some fists eventually landed on his face, and when he eventually was able shake Savell off him, he found himself with a busted lip. Dean tried a different approach, tucking Oz’s head under his armpit and wraps his arm around his neck and his legs on around his midsection with a body scissors. The guillottine choke was locked in, and Ozzie had to find a way out of it, real soon. He did so by running against the corner, a couple of times until Dean was forced to let him go. Savell connected a headbutt before grabbing his opponent by the back of his head and slamming his face on the canvas with a bulldog. After a few stomps, Ozzie picked up the opponent and with a smirk, nailed him with the Paranoid (Double Arm DDT), rolling him on his back and mounting on top of him once again, dropping some more punches before the bell rang, signaling the end of the first round Judges votes: Kirilenko: Savell 10-9 Dyson: Savell 10-9 Valero: Savell 10-9 Second Round: Ozzie smiled at the judges decision, he won this round unanimously and that gave him a huge boost of confidence walking into this second round. Dean instead had a scowl on his face and a fire in his eyes, knowing that he had to step up his game to change the story of this match. And he tried with a different approach, staying on the defensive and letting Oz make his move, dodging and counterattacking with quick strikes. And this strategy was paying off, making the young Savell nervous and more inclined to mistakes. Like when he swung and missed with a right hand, and Dean caught him with a back suplex. He then picked him up and wrapped his arm around his head with a headlock, connecting a few throat jabs. Ozzie was trying to catch his breath and he never saw Dean perching on the top rope, diving in his direction and connecting with a brutal knee to the head. Ozzie was down and the referee called it. WINNER: Dean Smith BY: Knockout (Mean Dean), Round 2; 2:31 |
We cut away from the action to a pre-recorded scene. A room, dark and dimly lit by a single swaying lightbulb. We see a woman’s legs, bronzed and fit, crossed by the woman sitting in the shadows just out of view. A voice rings out, smooth and calm.
Voice:
Buddha was quoted saying “No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path." And there is no truer saying in wrestling, don’t you think? You can rely on anyone you want, but in the end it’s you, and only you who crafts your destiny. Many of us forget that, relying on fake friends or believing our peers want us to succeed. But they don’t. They want you to do well, but never better than them. Just one of the many lessons I’ve learned through wrestling.
The woman leans back and chuckles.
Voice:
You probably don’t know who I am, and that isn’t a surprise. I’ve not made any waves, I’ve not won any gold and I’ve not done what so many of you have. In fact, I ended up walking away from my dream. But dreams...they sometimes become nightmares, don’t they? So let me bring you up to speed. I am the daughter of a wrestling fan. The sister of a multi-time champion and possibly one of the youngest Hall of Famers to date. If you know me you probably think of me as the Bombshell, or a Knockout, personal trainer, a sister. In fact, until this moment I have been nothing but forgettable. Time away has left my dream turning rotten, sour and curdling into a nightmare. Day in, day out I have sat and watched others do what I know I am destined to do. And now...now I have chosen to finally step out of the shadows of my past and into the light of my future.
The woman stands up and steps into view, wearing a short dress with her long blonde hair hanging free. Few would recognize Nicole Whitmore-Knight, now known as Nikki Knight.

Invictus Rules
Brendan Callaghan VS Cole GregoryInvictus Rules
Another Invictus match, this time between two former Liberty Pro superstars. Cole Gregory and Brendan Callaghan are familiar to each other although that doesn’t mean much when you fight under completely different rules. Round One: The first round was a very even contest. Perfectly aware of his opponent’s striking ability, Brendan smartly stayed away from his kicks, moving in circles around him trying to find an opening to make his move. And he finally did, sliding behind his back applying a waistlock and taking him down, staying on his back and, being the showman he is, mockingly slapping the back of his head. The fans didn’t like what they considered a show of disrespect, and neither did Cole who stood up and looked at his chuckling opponent shaking his head. The dance began once again as they moved in circles before finally locking up in a test of strength. Cole was having the best when Brendan raised his knee and drove it on his chest, breaking the clinch and taking the upper and with a couple of uppercut, sending cole against the ropes and catching him with a released belly to belly suplex. He followed up with a knee drop, picking Gregory up and unleashing a flurry of forearm smash, leaving him standing groggily and going for the kill with a bicycle knee strike. Cole dodged it, taking a step to the side and quickly connecting a snap dragon suplex. With Brendan’s guard now lowered, Gregory could finally show his striking ability, forcing the opponent to instinctively retreat in the corner, forgetting that they won’t get him the break he was hoping for. Luckily for him the bell rang signaling the end of the first round. Judges votes: Kirilenko: Callaghan 10-9 Dyson: Gregory 10-9 Valero: Gregory 10-9 Second Round: The split decision only added pressure to both competitors as they walked in this second round. The way the round ended reminded Callaghan that of how dangerous his opponent can be, and his approach became way more serious. Cole instead seemed slightly troubled by the judges decision, especially Yulia’s who didn’t give him the first round win. He glanced at the General Manager a couple of times, taking his eyes off the opponent who capitalized with a dropkick, waiting for him to get up to charge at him with a lariat, and a second on, completing the Awesome AF Combo with a springboard forearm smash. Cole was quickly back on his feet, and Callaghan was quickly on him with quick jabs and hooks. Gregory fought back, blocking a punch and answering with one of his own. But it was when he started swinging his lethal kicks that things took a bad turn for Nathan’s son. A few kicks to the ribs and a spinning heel kick later Brendan was down, and the English born locked him in his deadly Bridging Arm Triangle Chokehold (The Cole-Lateral Damage). Callaghan tried to resist with the clock quickly approaching the 5 minutes time limit but eventually he had to give up. WINNER: Cole Gregory BY: Submission (Cole-Lateral Damage), Round 2; 4:19 |
After the commercial break, the show comes back following Yulia Kirilenko as she walks backstage.
Voice:
Yulia.
A big smile appears on her face, as she, just like anybody who watches the green show probably did, recognizes the deep voice. The General Manager of the green show Gianluigi Vaccaro walks into frame.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Congratulation on a successful debut show. Not like i ever had the slightest doubt.
Yulia Kirilenko:
Well, thanks Gian. But just like they say, the best has yet to come.
She answers with a playful wink.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:

Yulia Kirilenko:
Yes.
Her answer put a smile on Gian's face.
Yulia Kirilenko:

He stops as Yulia grabs his arm and starts walking toward her office.
Yulia Kirilenko:

Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Something tells me I won't be able to say no.
Letting his hand go, Yulia shrugs, playfully sticking out her tongue.
Yulia Kirilenko:
Probably not...
As they turn around the corner, the camera cuts back to the ringside.

MWE Tag Team Championship Match
Jetpack (c) VS The Mighty Now Thrive
What better way to end the first episode if Riot than with a tag match with the MWE Tag Team Titles on the line? The freshly crowned champions Jetpack are called to defend their straps against The Mighty Now Thrive. Definitely not a team to take lightly, as the recent wins Null and Kid Terra achieved can testify. Penny started the match for the champions, against the TerraNova Rockstar. And at first the California born explosiveness was causing more than some trouble to PenPen who found herself forced to kick out after a handspring roundhouse kick and a running senton by her opponent. Null on the apron howled loudly, imitated by some TMNT fans who came here hoping to see their favorites pulling the upset of the night. And to give credit where credit it’s due, Null and Kid were giving the champs a run for their money, isolating Penny in their corner and attacking her with their victory lap, a series of corner clothesline. The champ was down and Null leaped on the top turnbuckle before jumping on her with a shooting star press. The referee slid in position to make the count but once again Penny raised her shoulder. Jet was eager to get in that ring, rallying up the fans and inviting them to make his partner feel their support. And the energy of this crowd gave new strength to the tag champ, who blocked the superplex attempt from Null pushing him down to the mat and, as soon as he made it to his feet, took him down with a crossbody. The hot tag was finally made, and Jet jumped into the ring cleaning house. First he took Null out with a springboard forearm, then he knocked Kid Terra off the apron with a single leg dropkick. The wolf-boy was back on him, but Blanchard anticipated him with a kick to the stomach and followed with an exploder suplex to the corner, before getting back to his feet with a kip up. The “Jetpack” chant was now louder than ever and Jet took a moment to soak in the adoration of these fans. After the tag Kid Terra was back in the ring and quickly back in control after a backstabber on the champion. He kept building momentum, exploiting his athletic skills and surprising Jet with a kip up hurricanrana, following up with a standing moonsault knee drop. Jet kicked out and tried to drag himself toward Penny but, obviously, Kid grabbed his leg and blocked him. Penny was inches away, but no matter how they both were stretching out, he couldn’t reach her, not until his opponent was pulling his leg. With a swift movement, he turned back and kicked him on the taped shoulder, finally breaking free. PenPen was back in the ring and, it goes without saying, she started targeting the injured shoulder, twisting his arm and using the rope as a step to climb on the top turnbuckle from where she jumped with a wrist lock armdrag. The TerraNova rockstar was quickly back on his feet, clutching his shoulder in pain, trying to shake the pain off. But Penny didn’t become three time Tag Team Champion by letting opportunity like this slide. She took him down with an arm ddt and in one fluid motion applied her patented Kimura Lock (Kaps Lock), giving Kid Terra no other chance than to tap and securing the first successful defense for her team. WINNER: Jetpack (Still Champions) BY: Submission (Kaps Lock), 12:47 |

Alyx Valero:
A good effort from TMNT, but in the end the class and experience of Penny and Jet got them the win.
Zackary Dyson:
That and Kid Terra's bad shoulder.
Alyx Valero:
True. That was a big target, and you can be damn sure Penny Kaplan ain't gonna miss it.
Zackary Dyson:
Indeed. Anyway, out time is over for tonight,, Riot will be back next Friday from Lincoln, Nebraska.
Alyx Valero:
Yulia told me there will be a couple of debuts... But no spoilers!
Zackary Dyson:
If you want to know, all you have to do is tune in next Friday. From Zackary Dyson..
