MWE Presents: From The Ashes (night 2) Live from Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ Sunday, May 26th, 2024
We open backstage where we find a rather menacing looking trio. On one side it is Fiona Logan, dressed in her neon green and black ring gear with her MWCW Tag Team Championship title belt wrapped around her waist. Next is Clyde Sutter wearing a nice pair of black dress pants, a white silk button up shirt, and a black leather jacket. Then, hanging off of Sutter’s arm, is the lovely Third Generation Goddess Melinda Braddock. Braddock is wearing neon green and black ring gear and she has her MWCW Tag Team Championship title belt wrapped around her waist.
Clyde Sutter: “Fate has a twisted sense of humor. Depending upon your perception, depending upon who you are, fate is either smiling down upon you this very moment, or fate has royally fucked you over in a big way. Because now your tag team division must open its arms and welcome a new addition, the very future of this company and of the business itself, they are Fiona Logan and my beautiful, lovely Melinda Braddock…”
He looks over at Fiona.
Clyde Sutter: “....Fiona may have the greatest story to her name. She was born into one of the worst possible situations one could imagine but she fought, scratched, and clawed her way out. She played the hand that fate dealt her and she succeeded. She found herself in the spotlight of the Braddock-Logan household, they took a liking to her, and they took her in, they taught her everything they knew, and introduced her to professional wrestling. But even without that kind of knowledge, Fiona is and always has been a natural fighter. You must respect anyone who can fight nature itself and win.”
He then turns and kisses Melinda on the lips.
Clyde Sutter: “My lovely Melinda was born into the business. Professional wrestling runs through her veins. She is a Third Generation Goddess. Her grandfather was a legendary grappler on the European wrestling circuit and her mother was a worldwide phenomenon and a seventeen time world champion. But my Melinda will go on to outshine both her grandfather and her mother. Fate has decreed it.”
Melinda Braddock: “You are quite right, Clyde. Some may be absolutely thrilled with the arrival of myself and Fiona. I imagine the general managers, the new ownership, everyone involved in management are quite happy with the signing of myself and Fiona. It isn’t every day you get to sign the hottest commodities on the independent circuit. We come here as the reigning MWCW Tag Team Champions. We come here from a famous wrestling family. You should know. You are not unfamiliar with the Braddock family, are you? But like Clyde said, I am not my grandfather or my mother. I will become better than them. My success will far surpass theirs when all is said and done. My own VISION is also different from the Braddock vision. I have a Vision for professional wrestling and I will impose my Vision upon this industry. It began in Europe when I made my independent debut, it continued in the Midwest where I made my American debut, and now it makes its worldwide debut through MWE. And this promotion as a whole is certainly happy to have us…”
Braddock looks over at Fiona. Fiona Logan steps forward and smirks nastily.
Fiona Logan: “But the tag team division should be shaking in their boots. Shit, the whole roster should be worried and nervous because of our arrival. Well, anyone who dares to stand against us, that is. We are a proven dominant force as a tag team and can beat anyone you decide to put in front of us. And we are a proven success as singles competitors as well. We can take any title we want in this company given the chance.”
The Boston Badass points a finger at the camera.
Fiona Logan: “We begin by making an example outta The Eldon Family. It isn’t personal, boys and girls, this ass whipping we’re about to deliver is just business.”
Melinda Braddock: “Pay close attention to what we do to The Eldon Family tonight because this is what you can expect going forward. MWE can either embrace our Vision or get crushed beneath our feet. As Clyde likes to say, FATE is on our side.”
Tag Team Match
The Vision (Melinda Braddock & Fiona Logan) VS The Eldon Family
- Just like Night One did yesterday, the fans got to witness a debut to open the second night of From The Ashes. Sutter accompanied the duo to the ring, but he won’t be able to watch their backs throughout the contest as he was attacked by Andrew Raynes. In his impetus attack the former Chicago Way champion was oddly careful not to trample either Fiona or Melinda, as they weren’t the target of his rage. Even when they tried to pull him away from The Assassin he didn’t raise a hand on them, just snarling in their direction instead. But even that brief distraction was enough to allow Sutter to turn the tide and shove Raynes off. Regaining his vertical position, Clyde returned fire, throwing fists at The Toughest Out. As the two brawled, trying to settle the score from the night before, The Vision eventually reached the ring where Clyde and Erika Eldon were waiting for them. and the match started. Braddock left the ring, leaving Fiona to deal with Clyde. At first the young man’s strength gave him the upper hand and allowed him to manhandle Logan with a series of clotheslines and a big bodyslam. But he miscalculated the timing in his running senton and hit the canvas with his back, allowing Fiona to counterattack.with a volley of kicks. Clyde backed down into the ropes where he got hit with a running big boot that sent him outside the ring.
- A double tag brought Erika and Melinda into the fray, and the pace immediately picked up. Braddock showed that she didn’t only get her last name from her mother, the 17 times World Champion Glory Braddock, but a good chunk of her talent as well. Her speed and agility was on full display tonight, and Erika was already on the backfoot, struggling to survive the young woman’s aerial offense. After a short run against the ropes, Melinda caught the former Academy student with a tilt-a-whirl DDT with some extra rotations to add more momentum as she dropped Erika on her skull. Things weren’t looking too good for the Eldons already and Clyde had to rush in and break up the pinning predicament. Erika was being outmatched by Braddock, but by hook or by crook she was eventually able to turn the tide, tripping Braddock and sending her hanging on the middle rope. Eldon then hit her with a running knee to the back of the head that looked a lot like her ex-boyfriend’s The Final Stand. Rather than going for the pin, Erika used this opening to reach her corner and tag out, letting her brother handle business.
- Clyde seemed to be in rare form, the time off surely did him good and allowed him to work on his craft. He even looked lighter and faster in his movements, all while not losing anything strength-wise. With a belly-to.belly suplex he sent Melinda flying across the ring and landing hard on the canvas, not too far from her corner. Surprised by Clyde’s unexpected display of strength, the third generation wrestler decided to let the powerhouse of the team deal with the young man. Fiona entered the ring and knocked Eldon on his ass with a shoulder tackle. As soon as he got back to his feet, she charged for a spear but CEJ shocked everyone with a leapfrog to dodge the impact. Logan continued her run into the ropes on the opposite side and bounced back, running into a big boot from Clyde. His second running senton attempt didn’t miss as he landed with all his weight on Fiona to obtain a count of two.
- The siblings had a good showing tonight, giving the debuting duo a run for their money. They seemed to focus on Melinda more, seeing her as the less dangerous member of The Vision or, possibly, trying to stay as far away as they could from Fiona’s strength. In the short time the powerhouse had been in the ring, she literally ragdolled Erika and manhandled her brother, an experience neither of them wanted to repeat. Melinda instead was a “safer” option, especially after they managed to isolate and wear her out in their corner. Quick tags in and out to keep the pressure on the second generation wrestler while keeping themselves fresh. Erika’s cutter and Clyde’s discus clothesline both earned the Eldons’ a very close to the three count, but in both circumstances Fiona was able to break up the pin. Logan was eager to get in the ring, literally stomping the apron while trying to encourage her partner to turn the tide. Braddock seemed to be in the deep end, now barely able to defend herself let alone mount any sort of counteroffensive. But one thing she could always rely on was her instinct: combined with her athleticism, it allowed her to land on her feet off a belly-to-belly suplex attempt and send CEJ into the corner with a shotgun dropkick. Erika acted quickly and tagged herself in, rushing to the opposite side of the ring to stop Melinda. She was able to reach her and tackle her to the ground before she could tag out but when they stood up, Braddock easily freed herself and finally touched her partner’s hand.
- Fiona was cleaning house, single-handedly taking out Karen’s kids. Lariats, punches, elbows, knee strikes and a spinning kick left Clyde and Erika laid out on the canvas with Fiona standing over their broken bodies. The fans were loud, loving what they were seeing from The Vision. Feeling the momentum and feeding on their energy, Logan went for the finish, dropping Erika on her skull with her Boston Lager (inverted piledriver) but Clyde made it back inside the ring in time and saved his sister. He then had to deal with Fiona’s wrath, but as she was busy with him Erika, who was still the legal person in her team, jumped on her back and connected a backstabber. She hooked both legs for a deep cover, using all her weight to keep Logan down, but still couldn’t hold her shoulders to the canvas for the count of three.
- Now fully rested, Melinda once again entered the ring, bringing her fast paced offense to the plate. It was too much for a worn out Clyde, unable to find a counter to her high-flying attacks or her swift strikes. It didn’t take long before the third generation wrestler knocked Clyde on his back with a spinning heel kick and quickly climbed to the top rope, ready to take flight and land on top of her opponent with the Blaze Of Glory (450 splash). And this time his sister couldn’t help him, having been obliterated by Fiona with a powerbomb on the floor outside. The Vision’’s career in MWE started with an impressive performance and a big win.
WINNER: The Vision BY: Pinfall (Blaze Of Glory), 9:21

Usually when cameras cut to the backstage area, we are met with sights of wrestlers ready for their upcoming matches. But despite being booked in a bout against Jvstice Hardy in just a few minutes, Ava Grimes look far from ready. She's wearing street clothes, a pair of blue jeans and a black tank top. Not far from there was a pink trolley leaning against the wall of the hallway she was pacing back and forth while talking on the phone.
Ava Grimes: I really appreciate your concern Doc, but you don't have to. Scott and I are coming home as soon as he's done with his match, I see no point in staying here since they won't let me compete..
Theunexpected news is received with an "Oooh" of disappointment and surprise by the Phoenix crowd.
Ava Grimes: No, I feel good... They're just being overly cautious...
She rolls her eyes as the person on the other side of the line, most likely Dr. Martell, Scott's father and her neurologyst since her CTE problems back in the Academy, interrupts her.
Ava Grimes: I know, I know that with my condition there's no such thing as being overly cautious. I'm just saying, I feel good. I don't have any of those symptoms you told to watch out for. No headaches, no short-memory issues... I got a bit of an anger outburst episode but you would have to if they benched you based on your clinic history alone withoiut any sort of medical evidence to support their guess...
Once again she stops to let the doctor speak.
Ava Grimes: You're right, it's better safe than sorry... But it's so fucking frustrating, you know? Even more so when I think about how we got to this point... Anyway, Scott's match is up next. I'll see you tomorrow, have a good night, doc.
A warm smile forms on her lips as she listens to what her interlocutor says.
Ava Grimes: I will. And thank you again. As soon as she finds Jelena Scherbakova standing in front of her.
Jelena Scherbakova: I'm sorry Ava...
She immediately apologizes.
Jelena Scherbakova: I didn't mean to eavesdrop your conversation but I was passing by and I hear you saying that your match against Jvstice Hardy is cancelled?
A sigh escapes Ava's lips as she nods her head.
Ava Grimes: Unfortunately, you heard right. They put me on a 24 hours monitoring protocol, which means I can't compete. Which completely sucks, as I was looking forward to take on one of Julian's stooges. But I guess I'll just have to wait.
Jelena Scherbakova: It's very unfortunate that the match has been called off, I know for a fact the fans were excited about it. How do you feel about what led to this, the confrontation you had with Melissa Reeves last night?
There's a nervous chuckle comoing from the young Grimes, and you can see the change in her demeanor as she looks very upset about it.
Ava Grimes: I'm fucking mad, you know? I always looked up to Reeves, her and my brother Gavin have quite some history, often found themselves on a collision course but despite all that, I always respected her attitude and her skills. When I saw her taking the center of the ring and making that speech, I really thought she was going to hang up the boots and I wanted to let her know that she was almost as important as Gavin for my career.
The former Academy student shrugs her shoulders.
Ava Grimes: But, hey, I guess it's true what they say. Never meet your heroes, they ALWAYS turn out to be a huge fucking disappointment.
Jelena Scherbakova: She truly had everyone fooled, we all thought she was announcing that she was going to step away from competition. It's unfortunate that her decption costed you the chance to compete tonight, on top of being attacked by somoene you looked up to.
There's no trace of disaappointment in Ava's look. No self-pity or sadness for that "betrayal". Instead, you could see a fire burning in them, a strong determination to right this wrong.
Ava Grimes: I ain't gonna cry on spilled milk, Jelena. What's done it's done, she chose to take me out and here I am, not cleared to compete.I'm just gonna say one thing tho, Melissa Reeves may not have retired last night, but now I'm gonna make her wish she did.
The interviewer seems surprised by Ava's reply, and her tone as she said it. But before she could ask any further question, the young Grimes had already left the area.

We come backstage where one half of the best tag team ever is warming up for his match. We know he’s one half of the best tag team ever because it says so on his shirt, and only Matt Stone would go through the trouble of making his own shirt. He’s sitting on a travel case stretching out, his MWE Tag Team Title resting beside him, almost blinding the camera with the glare coming off the plate. It’s quite clear he’s spent time polishing it.
Matt Stone: Veronica, oh Veronica. Wherefore art thou, Veronica?
Veronica Sawyer: …do you really expect me to wear this?
Matt’s question is answered rather quickly as the camera pans further back to reveal the other half of the best tag team ever standing off towards the side. Veronica Sawyer holds a matching t-shirt in between two fingertips, waving it in front of her face, as she holds her half of the MWE Tag Team championships in the other hand.
Veronica Sawyer: Who even designed this thing?
Matt eyes her for a second, eyebrow raised like the question she had proposed was ridiculous.
Matt Stone: I did. Was that not evident by the words on the shirt? Put it on, we have to look alike.
He looks her entire outfit over for a second before adding
Matt Stone: Well as alike as the two of us can, I suppose.
Veronica Sawyer: Yes, we could almost be twins.
Veronica rolls her eyes as she hands Matt her championship belt rather quickly before taking the shirt in both of her hands and pulling it on over her head. She pulls it down swiftly and places both of her hands on her hips, looking down at her tag team partner.
Veronica Sawyer: This isn’t even my size. It’s too big!
Matt Stone: Better too big than too small, right?
He asks nonchalantly, not even bothering to look up at first and admiring the title she handed him.
Matt Stone: I never noticed just how good my hair looks in one of these titles. It’s truly remarkable!
Veronica Sawyer: Why are you acting as if you’ve never checked out your reflection in your own title before?
Veronica quickly snatches her championship right out of Matt’s hands to interrupt his little session of admiring his own reflection in the golden plate.
Veronica Sawyer: You’ll have plenty of time to do that later after we beat Bree and whatever sad sack she picks for a tag team partner.
Matt Stone: You say that like she has options, I’m convinced she’s going to walk out there all on her own cause no one wants to face us.
As he speaks, he’s gone back to his own title so he can continue his admiration.
Matt Stone: Have you noticed how we’re defending these titles literally every show?
Veronica Sawyer: Of course, we’re carrying the tag division on our backs, who else could take on such a challenge and be so charitable at the same time.
Matt Stone: Literally no one. We’re icons in this company and if you notice, everyone is talking about us. So many people want these titles because of the prestige and honour we bring to them…
The point is slightly undercut, mind you, as he holds up his championship to get a good look at the side of his head. Veronica snaps her fingers directly in his face to get his attention.
Veronica Sawyer: As much as I know you adore a love letter to yourself, we can’t allow ourselves to simply coast on our success, that’s how people get sloppy. And we are not sloppy.
Matt Stone: How kind of you to notice.
Matt replies as he sets his title down beside him and leaps off the box.
Matt Stone: But you’re right, for all we know Bree is going to walk out there with Billy cause he can’t stand that we’re more talked about than he is. No matter, you and I are a team, a unit, an unstoppable force and Bree can’t work well with her own twin, what chance does she have?
Veronica Sawyer: About as much of a chance as everyone else on the roster does, which is absolutely none, so you better put on your fiercest game face for this one.
As she is speaking, Veronica takes one hand and slaps Matt against the chest in one swift motion, taking him by surprise. He stumbles back against the box as she strikes his chest, the brand new shirt getting all wrinkled in the process.
Matt Stone: Owwwiee! What the hell was that for?!?
Veronica Sawyer: Because you need to focus! Come on!
Matt Stone: Alright, alright, geez. I am focused, and I know what we need to do tonight. We set the tone for the entire show, whether we’re on first, last or stuck somewhere in the middle, I guarantee you after tonight, we’re all anyone is going to talk about.
Veronica Sawyer: Which is exactly the way we want it to be.
Veronica smirks, clearly pleased with his answer, and she gives a pat on the cheek before motioning for him to follow her as they walk away together carrying their MWE tag team championship belts. More than ready for their defense.
Taipei Deathmatch
Luis Rivera VS Kendrick Kross
- The bell rings, and the Taipei Deathmatch is officially underway. Luis Rivera, a former boxer, and Kendrick Kross, the hardcore veteran, circle each other warily. The ropes are wrapped in barbed wire, and the crowd is buzzing with anticipation. Luis throws the first punch, a quick jab that connects with Kendrick's jaw. Kross staggers back, but quickly recovers, using his speed and technical prowess to duck under Luis's follow-up punch. Kross counters with a sharp kick to Luis's midsection, doubling him over. Kross wastes no time, grabbing Luis by the head and slamming him face-first into the barbed wire ropes. Luis screams in pain as the barbed wire rips into his flesh, but he fights back with a series of wild punches, forcing Kross to back off. Luis, bleeding from several cuts on his face, charges at Kross, driving him into the corner. He unloads a barrage of punches, using his boxing skills to pummel Kross. Kendrick tries to cover up, but Luis's relentless assault leaves him little room to breathe.
- Desperate, Kross reaches up and grabs a handful of Luis's hair, yanking him down into a knee strike. The impact stuns Luis, giving Kross the opening he needs. Kross grabs a handful of broken glass from a nearby bucket and grinds it into Luis's forehead, opening up more cuts.Luis roars in pain, but he refuses to go down. He swings wildly, catching Kross with a solid right hook that sends him sprawling to the mat. Luis, breathing heavily, wipes the blood from his eyes and looks around for a weapon. He grabs a nearby kendo stick wrapped in barbed wire, swinging it menacingly as he approaches Kross. Kendrick, still dazed from the punch, struggles to his feet. Luis swings the kendo stick, but Kross ducks under it, hitting the ropes for momentum. He comes back with a flying knee strike, knocking the kendo stick out of Luis's hands.
- Kross follows up with a series of quick kicks, targeting Luis's legs and midsection. Luis, still bleeding profusely, tries to block the kicks, but Kross's speed is too much. Kendrick hits a snap suplex, sending Luis crashing to the mat. Kross quickly climbs to the top rope, the barbed wire cutting into his hands as he steadies himself. He leaps off, executing a perfect Phoenix Splash. The crowd erupts as he crashes down onto Luis but the former Academy student gets his shoulder up in two. Kross looks frustrated but determined. He pulls Luis to his feet, only to be met with a desperation headbutt. Both men are now bleeding heavily, the ring a chaotic scene of violence. Luis grabs the kendo stick again, this time connecting with a vicious shot to Kross's ribs.
- Kross falls to his knees, gasping for breath. Luis, sensing victory, winds up for another swing. But Kendrick, with a sudden burst of energy, grabs Luis's arm and locks in a Kimura. Luis screams in agony, the barbed wire cutting into both men as they struggle. Luis Rivera's screams echo through the arena as Kendrick Kross tightens the Kimura lock. Luis struggles, using his free hand to punch at Kross, but Kendrick’s grip is ironclad. The crowd is on the edge of their seats, watching the intense struggle. Desperate, Luis manages to shift his weight, rolling Kross over and breaking the hold. Both men scramble to their feet, panting heavily, blood dripping from numerous cuts. Luis, using his boxing instincts, throws a wild haymaker, but Kross ducks under it and counters with a dropkick that sends Luis into the corner. Kross doesn't give Luis a moment to recover. He charges in, hitting a high knee to Luis’s face, further opening the cuts on his forehead. Luis slumps in the corner, and Kross grabs a nearby steel chair wrapped in barbed wire. He slams it down on Luis's back, the barbed wire tearing into flesh.
- Luis roars in pain, staggering out of the corner. Kross drops the chair and lifts Luis, hitting a snap powerslam onto the barbed wire-covered chair. The impact leaves Luis writhing in agony, blood staining the mat around him. Kross goes for the pin but it’s not enough. Frustration is evident on Kross's face, but he knows he needs to keep the pressure on. He pulls Luis to his feet, only to be met with a desperate uppercut that knocks him back. Luis, finding a second wind, grabs Kross and hits a series of rapid-fire punches, each one more devastating than the last.
- With Kross dazed, Luis grabs the kendo stick once more. He swings it like a baseball bat, catching Kross in the side of the head. The crowd winces as Kross drops to the mat, clutching his head. Luis, breathing heavily, signals to the crowd that he's going to finish it. He pulls Kross up and sets him up for a power move, but Kross, digging deep, fights back with elbows to Luis's head. Luis, dazed, releases his grip, and Kross takes advantage, hitting a spinning heel kick that sends Luis crashing to the mat. Kross quickly capitalizes, grabbing the steel chair wrapped in barbed wire. He sets it up in the middle of the ring and lifts Luis, positioning him for a Coup De Gras. With a show of strength, Kross lifts Luis high and slams him down onto the chair, the barbed wire digging into Luis’s back. Kross goes for another pin but Luis kicks out once again
- The crowd is in disbelief as Luis shows incredible resilience. Kross, though frustrated, remains focused. He pulls Luis up, but Luis, using the last of his strength, hits a desperation spinebuster onto the barbed wire chair. Both men lie on the mat, barely moving, blood pooling around them. The crowd is electric, cheering for both competitors' incredible tenacity. Slowly, they both begin to stir, using the ropes to pull themselves up. Luis, staggering, grabs a piece of broken glass and charges at Kross. But Kross, using his last bit of energy, catches Luis with a superkick, the impact echoing through the arena. Luis drops the glass and falls to his knees.
- Kross, sensing the end, grabs Luis and locks in a Muta Lock. The barbed wire cuts into both men as Kross wrenches back on the hold, and Luis has nowhere to go.
Luis Rivera struggles in the Muta Lock, his face contorted in agony as Kendrick Kross wrenches back, the barbed wire adding to the excruciating pain. The crowd is on their feet, watching the intense and brutal conclusion unfold. Luis claws at the mat, trying desperately to break free, but Kross's grip is relentless. Blood continues to drip from both men, painting a gruesome picture in the ring. Luis makes one last attempt to reach the ropes, but the pain is too much. With no other option, he taps out, signaling his surrender. The referee calls for the bell, and the match is over.
WINNER: Kendrick Kross BY: Submission (Muta Lock), 17:06
|
Kendrick Kross releases the hold, collapsing to the mat in exhaustion. The crowd erupts in a mixture of cheers and boos, acknowledging the incredible effort from both competitors. Medical staff rush to the ring to tend to the battered and bloody wrestlers. As Kross slowly rises to his feet, he looks down at Luis Rivera, who is being attended to by the medics. Despite the intense rivalry, there is a moment of mutual respect as Kross nods at Luis before turning to the crowd and raising his arms in victory.
The Taipei Deathmatch has taken its toll on both men, but Kendrick Kross stands tall, having ended the feud with a decisive and brutal victory. The crowd's reaction is a mix of admiration and shock at the sheer violence they witnessed.
Kross exits the ring, limping slightly, but with a determined look on his face. This victory cements his reputation as one of the most hardcore wrestlers in the business, and he leaves the arena with his head held high, knowing he overcame a formidable opponent in Luis Rivera.
The medics continue to work on Luis, who is slowly helped to his feet. The crowd shows their appreciation for his resilience and fighting spirit with a standing ovation. Though he didn't come out on top, Luis Rivera proved his toughness and heart in one of the most grueling matches in MWE history.
As the camera fades to black, the image of Kendrick Kross standing victorious and Luis Rivera being helped out of the ring serves as a testament to the brutal and unforgiving nature of the Taipei Deathmatch. Both men gave everything they had, leaving it all in the ring.
Kendrick Kross's victory in the Taipei Deathmatch against Luis Rivera brings an end to their fierce rivalry. The brutal contest showcased the extreme lengths both competitors were willing to go to, with Kross's hardcore experience ultimately giving him the edge. The respect shown at the end highlights the warrior spirit of both men, leaving a lasting impression on the fans.
Bree headed out and saw the champions awaiting her and her opponent. Before she spoke on the mic she pointed directly at Matt Stone and said something off mic. Once her music had died down she raised the microphone up.
Bree Smith: Matty, Ronnie. What's up.
The crowd responded in kind with a "Sup!" back to Bree. She took a step closer towards the ramp.
Bree Smith: So I know we're all waiting to see who I picked. I had a lot of thinking, but I decided to pick someone who I saw in the gym with the work ethic of a Breebarian. He's been a former tag team champ and he is looking forward to hurting Matt Stone. Ticking all the boxes please welcome Rome Gallagher!
A Warriors Call hits, the lights flicker as Rome Gallagher stepped out from the back and took it all in. Judging by the reaction a lot of fans liked this pairing. Rome walked up to Bree and grabbed Bree's hand and the microphone.
Rome Gallagher: That's the guy?
Bree nodded and Rome let go of the microphone, signalling with a head tilt to Bree and the pair began walking with authority to the ring, picking up some speed with the fans banging on the guard rail in anticipation of this clash.
The pair slide into the ring to stand off against the champions
MWE Tag Team Championship Match
PCP © VS Bree Smith & Partner Of Her Choosing
- Matt Stone was not happy to see Rome Gallagher standing next to Bree. The former Tag Team champion’s decision to side with her cousin Lexie’s usual partner, a guy who just made his debut in MWE was definitely an odd one, especially seeing how Rome was in a match twenty four hours ago which could affect him in the long run. But, on the up side, we all saw the intensity and power he brings to the table, and Matt seemed to be fearing it. “Ladies first”, said the Abominable Showman as he let the stage to his partner to take on Bree. Smith taunted him, continuing that banter that had been going between them for a while now, saying that he was scared of her, and flexed her muscles to impress him. Ronnie wasn’t going to entertain this and just superkicked Bree in the face, knocking her on her back. The tag team champion immediately made the cover but Bree unsurprisingly kicked out in two. Still, Sawyer reminded her that she was facing the champions, and that she couldn’t afford any distraction. And Bree followed the advice, resisting Matt’s taunts and focusing solely on her opponent. Veronica attempted to throw her over with a headscissor but Bree blocked her by the legs, lifted her in the air and drove to the ground with a powerbomb.. Both women began to crawl to the respective corners eager to catch a much needed break.
- Matt leaped in the ring and quickly rushed toward Bree, trying to stop her before she’d reach Gallagher in the corner. But with a snap the blonde was able to make the tag, and the Canadian found himself in front of the imposing Gallagher. Instinctively Stone looked behind his shoulders, as if he was searching for a way out or, perhaps, to tag his partner back in. But Ronnie was not there, as she was still recovering on the floor. Forced to square off with the behemoth, the Tag Team champion wisely decided to rely on his greater speed to dodge Rome’s strikes and counterattack with some kicks to the legs. But Rome was a rare combination of size, power and speed and as soon as he got some space to gain momentum, he trampled Matt with a massive shoulder tackle.that sent the Name Dropper flying across the ring. Close to his corner Matt thought for a moment about tagging out but Rome was already charging toward him. With so little time to think Stone ducked and pulled down the top rope, causing Gallagher to fly outside the ring. The big guy was immediately up on his feet and grabbed Matt’s foot, dragging him out of the ring and causing him to land awkwardly on his shoulder. From out of nowhere came Ronnie, leaping from the apron and taking Gallagher down with a Meteora. As she rose to her feet, she got turned inside out by a running clothesline from Bree.
- The match reached levels of intensity the champions weren’t prepared for. This was the first time Bree and Rome teamed together but they showed incredible natural chemistry, working together like a well oiled machine. At some point, all four competitors were inside the ring trading blows. Smith and Gallagher won their exchange against Veronica and Matt and proceeded to lift their opponents with a suplex. They held them upside down, turning to face each other to see who would be able to hold the position longer. Neither of them was budging, maintaining the respective opponents in the uncomfortable positions despite their attempt at shifting the weight to counter the move. Eventually both Bree and Rome fell back at the same time, hitting the canvas with loud thuds as they dropped the opponents at the same time. They both rolled on top of their opponents, making the cover for a double cover, but Matt and Veronica kicked out in two and haòf.
- The titles were in jeopardy, PCP’s reign came very close to an end when Rome almost broke Matt in half with a spear, calling Sawyer to a last minute rescue in order to keep the belts around their waists. The champ was in great difficulty, but luckily for him eventually the fatigue of this double duty began to affect Gallagher, providing the opening for Matt to his patented Stone Cutter. The former IC Champion followed with a running kick to the side of Rome’s head, knocking the big man down, Matt could have made a run for his partner, who seemed eager to get back into the fray after recovering from the initial fatigue, but the Straight Shooter seemed to have taken personally being manhandled by Gallagher and was coming for his pound of flesh. He ruthlessly stomped and kicked Gallagher, setting him up for the MLG 360 No Scope. Rome looked out after the impact but luckily for him Bree was able to make the save.
- Veronica kept asking to be tagged in, but Matt was confident he could get the job done, more so seeing how Gallagher was looking rough at this point in the match. But the Los Angeles native still had something left in his tank and managed to reverse Stone’s irish whip, sending the Canadian into the ropes. He darted in the opposite direction to gain speed for his spear but the Abominable Showman leaped over him and dodged the impact. They continued their run and came back at full speed, both of them going for a big boot and knocking each other down. The referee started a double count as the two competitors began to drag themselves toward the respective condone, tagging their partners at the same time.
- The two women entered the ring, knowing that they will be the one taking this match past the final line. Veronica charged toward Bree but she got caught by Smith with a Samoan Drop. The blonde then showed her dominance with some of her trademark moves, including a display of the Power Of Bree when she brutalized Sawyer with a series of seven repetition backbreakers that left the tag team champion in a world of pain. Still, Ronnie was able to survive, although she had to thank her tag partner in this case. Sawyer left the ring to recover, while Matt was watching her back positioning between her and Bree. Rome walked around the ring and joined the trio, standing in front of Sawyer who took her cue to leave and slid back inside the ring. Bree kept walking toward Matt, causing him to back down until he bumped into Gallagher. Caught between a rock and a hard place, Matt turned around to face the new signee and at that point Bree dropped down on all fours. Rome barked at the Abominable Showman startling him. As he took half a step back, Matt tripped over Smith’s body and fell on the floor, hitting the back of his head on the pavement. Gallagher and Smith exchanged a high five, but their celebration was cut short by Veronica Sawyer flying over the top rope and taking them both down.
- Veronica’s talent was on full display tonight, the one half (many would say the better one too) of the tag team champions dominated the opponent with her combination of strikes and high flying moves. She scored a couple of near falls, with Rome Gallagher saving his partner in a couple of instances. He tried to do the same when Sawyer went to the top rope and connected her Fool’s Kiss (Phoenix Splash), but that time Matt Stone was able to grab him by the foot and prevent him from getting back in the ring and save the Breebarian. PCP was once again victorious despite the opponents’ valiant effort. Not the best weekend for Rome Gallagher, starting his MWE career with a 0-2 record. But even though he couldn’t get the win in either of his matches, he surely impressed everyone with his performances, giving a glimpse of the potential of the young Californianm whether it’s in singles or as a tag team wrestler.

Donovan Keane: Bro... You good?
That was a legitimate question Donovan Keane asked his tag team partner, Olly as they were finishing their preparation for their upcoming match. Olly's behavior on night one was still fresh in his and everyone else's mind, and even now the former Academy student looked lost in his own world, staring into space. He didn't even reply at first, Donnie had to ask a second time to obtain a reply.
Olly: I'm good.
Clearly, he wasn't. And understandably so, all things considered. Donovan decided to take that answer without inquiring any further.
Donovan Keane: Cool, cool. I need you on top of your game tonight, our opponents are no joke. I've been scuffling with Anna for a while now and I can say she's some tough bitch. As for Jackie...
Olly: I'll take care of him, don't worry.
Keane raised an eyebrow.
Donovan Keane: Just like you took care of Envy last night?
For the first time Olly's eyes shifted from the wall he was absentmindedly staring at to Donnie. And it wasn't a nice glare the one he gave him.
Donovan Keane: Look, I'm not against bashing some heads, you know? That's just how this business go sometimes. But Jackie is a friend of a good friend, and...
He stopped mid-sentence as Olly had gotten up and walked toward him by now, threateningly getting in his face.
Olly: I didn't do shit to Envy.
Donovan Keane: Right...
He didn't sound too convinced, but he wasn't gooing to antagonize his tag team partner.
Donovan Keane: You know what? Do your thing man. I ain't gonna help you tho...
Olly: I don't need any help.
He said as he left the locker room, slamming the door on his way out. Left alone, Donnie let out a sigh and sat down on the bench, grabbing the phone from his pack and tapping a quick text to someone.
Tag Team Match
The Division (Donovan Keane & Olly) VS Anna Daniels & Jackie Fowler
- Separate entrances for the team of Anna Daniels and Jackie Fowler. The Muse was already inside the ring, waiting for her tag partner to join her. Oasis’ “Fuckin In The Bushes” blared out of the PA System and the fans rose to their feet to greet the outspoken Brit the Bastard Of Bowland wasn’t the one walking through the curtain. Instead, two different kinds of bastards appeared, and they were wearing The Division’s colors. Welcomed by the loudest jeers, more so after the events of night one, Olly and Donovan Keane walked down the ramp, moving slowly around the ring, like vultures around their prey. The Time Lord didn’t seem scared, not even worried. Actually, she seemed to be encouraging them to act, to come forward and fight. You have to wonder if this confidence she was displaying had anything to do with what happened at this point. The lights went out for a few seconds, and when they came back, a tall figure was standing behind Olly. If someone didn’t recognize him at first, the way he lifted Olly and dropped him onto his knee would’ve cleared any doubt. That was the Rage Art, and he was Jacky Rex Daniels, multi-time champion and former MWE superstar. but, most importantly, Anna’s husband. As he delivered his Uranage Backbreaker to Olly, Anna attacked Donnie flying through the ropes and catching his head to turn the suicide dive into a tornado DDT on the concrete floor. After laying out the Division members, Anna and Jacky met in the middle of the ring and shared a kiss..
- The former Rapscallion started the match for his team, taking on Donnie. Jacky put on quite the clinic, showing an evolution in his style with less direct strikes and a wider range of suplexes and slams in his arsenal. Keane wasn’t prepared for this, looking helpless as Daniels tossed him around like a rag doll. But his survival instinct kicked in, and thanks to his athleticism Keane was able to land on his feet following Jacky’s belly to back suplex and fall back into his corner, where Olly made the tag to become the legal man. The Relentless’ offense wasn’t as effective with him as hit was with Donovan. The former Academy student entered the ring and began to throw punches and kicks with the same fury and deep anger he displayed last night on that brutal assault on Duke, landing some closed fist punches that earned him a first of many warnings. Jacky Rex fought back, the heat of the battle brought him back to his usual habits and he took on Olly on the kid’s forte, something closer to a street fight than actual wrestling. That brawler’s background came in handy allowing him to turn the tide despite using his non-dominant hand, but a punch thrown with the right gave away his weakness. And Olly wasn’t one to miss opportunities like this.
- Jacky’s right hand became Olly’s main target. Olly was ruthless in his offense, stomping on Rex’ hand, slamming it against the ring post and doing everything in his power to break the Iron Fist once and for all. Never one to care about hurting his opponents or putting them on the shelf with career-threatening injuries, the former Academy was showing no restraint and no care at all, almost as if he was finding this violence cathartic in some way. And speaking of that, a Random Act Of Violence, meant as his patented running knee to the back of the head, almost ended the match, but Anna managed to save her consort.
- Finally Jacky caught a break when he was able to slam Olly on the canvas with a spinebuster. He wasted no time and gave the tag to Anna who finally was able to step inside the ring. She didn’t take long to leave her mark, taking Olly down with a Return Crush, knocking him down. Donnie entered the ring but he was met with a capoeira kick that dropped him right next to Olly. The Muse tried to kill two birds with one stone, connecting a springboard moonsault into a double cover that ended with just a count of two. Wasting no time, she unceremoniously pushed Keane out of the ring and focused her attention on Olly, waiting for him to stand up before delivering her Interrobang (brazilian kick). The young member of The Division had it scouted and was able to grab Anna’s foot, pushing her leg down and planting her face-first into the canvas. A few wicked stomps to the back of the head later, Olly tagged his partner inj.
- Donovan Keane wasn’t going to let this advantage go to waste. He kept pressure on Anna with a fast paced offense, hitting her with his patented DK Cutter for a count of two and half. Looking to avenge the loss suffered at Dark Web, the Nightfall alumni was leaning into his meaner and more aggressive side, violently whipping Daniels into the corner and hitting her with a running Yakuza kick that reminded of his girlfriend’s Jet City Jive. He then proceeded to stomp The Muse’s chest and head, a brutal assault in the corner that required the referee’s intervention and earned Donnie a warning. Not that he seemed to care about potentially getting disqualified, and most likely his partner wouldn’t care too much either. Openly challenging the ref’s authority, he choked the opponent on the ropes and dragged her face across the top one, all illegal moves that earned him an even more stern warning. And while the referee was busy talking with Donnie, Olly hit Daniels with his brass knuckles, offering her head on a silver plate for an easy win. Or at least that would have been what happened if it wasn’t for Jacky’s prompt intervention.
- Anna was in a rough spot, desperately needing to make the tag but being unable to create the opening she needed. The Division, instead, was working together like a well oiled machine, Olly and Donovan tagging in and out and slowly taking their opponent apart, under the gaze of her helpless husband. There were times when Jacky looked like he was about to step inside the ring and just unleash hell on his enemies, opting instead for playing by the rules and cheering on his better half instead. And Anna eventually found the opening, catching Donnie with a codebreaker and finally making her way to the corner, making the much needed tag. Donnie did the same and let Olly in, the two men once again collided in the middle of the ring and picked up exactly where they left, with a good old fashioned brawl. This time Daniels was the one emerging victorious after doubling the opponent over with a knee to the stomach, following with the Absolute Carnage (single leg hook brainbuster) for a very close call. Olly came inches away from the win with his Leap Of Faith, but right when he looked ready to finish things off with his Born To Lose, he got distracted by the titantron suddenly coming to life and playing the tribute to Faith that aired before Night one’s main event. It was clearly a dirty trick someone was playing to cost him the match, obvious mind games to throw him off and he surely knew it. And yet, he couldn’t take his eyes off the screen, entranced by the view of the woman he loved and recently lost in a tragic accident. Possibly not entirely realizing what caused it, Jacky saw the opponent distracted and hit him with a big time spear, making an immediate cover. Donnie tried to save his partner but he got floored by Anna’s Interrobang and just like that, the match was over.
WINNER: Jacky Rex Daniels & Anna Daniels BY: Pinfall (Spear), 11:41

The camera took us to a remote part of the stadium, where Trinity Thompson is taking some time for herself ahead of her match against Brighton Lancaster.
Trinity Thompson: I've had a lot of questions asked to me about this match. Why I can't seem able to get away from Nine's orbit, how much I can relate with Brighton, if I ever think that I could be in her place, how do I feel about having to beat up Echo's sister, how does Echo feel about it... As if she'd open up about her feelings with me.
The former XIX World champion let out a chuckle.
Trinity Thompson: So, I thought I'd address some of this stuff and clear things up a little bit before we get to business. How much can I relate with Brighton? I can't, not in the slightest.
Her expression turned immediately into a serious one.
Trinity Thompson: Don't get me wrong, I know what she's gone through and I feel sorry for her. I've been there, I've been taken by Nine and her cult too, I've been kept locked in a cell and tortured physically and psychologically just like, I'm sure, she was. But I didn't let them break me, that's the big difference. Sure, I had Alessio busting me out at some point but even if he didn't come to rescue me, they wouldn't have gotten me, no matter what they did to my body or my mind. So no, we're not the same. It would've been more likely to see me in a body bag rather than one of those stupid black tunics and gold masks.
Her disdain for the cult and Brighton's choice to join was very clear in her voice.
Trinity Thompson: Safe to say, I'm disappointed in Brighton. I thought the younger sister of the most badass chick I know would've would have never bent down for a psychopath with a Messiah complex but I guess toughness and dignity are not genetic traits, or maybe they simply don't belong with that side of the family you two are related by.
Shrugging her shoulders, Trinity then continued.
Trinity Thompson: To answer the next question... No, this is not like any other for me, it never is when Nine is involved. I thought I had finally closed this chapter of my life, I thought I had left her and her minions in the past but I just keep being dragged back into her vortex. But if you think I'm gonna take it easy on Brighton, if you think I'm gonna try to "turn" her, then I've got some bad news for you.
Pause.
Trinity Thompson: It's not my place to "save" her, and that's not becasue I think she's beyond saving now. I'm not in the business of rescuing lost kittens, I'm in the demolition team. My goal is to end this cult bullshit and stop them from spreading any further in MWE, and the way I see it, Brighton is now part of the problem.
Hopping down from the rail she was sitting on, she took a step forward, speaking straight into the camera.
Trinity Thompson: I hope you evenntually see the light and find your way out of Nine's infliuence, Brighton. And who knows, maybe the ass-kicking I'm about to give you will speed up the process. I hope that one day we can look back to this in front of a few drinks and have a laugh about it, like old friends. But tonight, you're my enemy. You hurt my friend, and you shall pay for that.
The former Academy student cracked her knuckles and walked away, ready to write another chapter on her neverending feud with Nine van der Hoek and her cult.
Singles Match
Trinity Thompson (w/ Echo) VS Brighton Lancaster (w/ Nine van der Hoek)
- The tension was at an all time high, and it only kept growing with every step Brighton and Nine took toward the ring where Trinity and Echo were waiting. The former Invictus champion’s gaze was locked on her sister, who just stared back at the Australian with emotionless eyes. The former Academy student meekly sat on the middle rope to let her Leader in, and that seemed to trigger Echo who darted in their direction. Trinity was quick to reach and grab her by the hand, causing the blonde to turn around and stare daggers at her. Without saying a word, Trinity nodded at the crowd, where dozens of masked cultists suddenly appeared, waiting for an excuse to jump the barricade and attack them. “Let me handle this.” She said calmly, keeping her eyes on the Dutch woman and her new minion. The ref asked the seconds to get out, leaving the two women scheduled to compete in the ring. The match started with a lock up in which Brighton showed all her strength by easily pushing Thompson on the floor. She then rushed toward her and tried to stomp her head, but Trin had already rolled out of the way and went for a quick pin with a school boy, only getting a two out of it.
- It was an odd situation around this match, and it couldn’t be otherwise with all the stories and personal matters that intertwined. As far as the action goes, Trinity was pretty much in control, her speed so far had been the key to stay away from Brighton’s reach and hit her with quick strikes. The year 3 graduate fell to her knees and got blasted with a running singòe leg dropkick to the face but still managed to get her shoulder up in time. Trinity kept pressing on with more quick kicks that didn’t seem to affect Lancaster all that much but surely were annoying her. The Australian-American wasn’t able to dodge, block or counter Thompson’s fast strikes, and that was clearly frustrating the powerhouse, affecting the precision of her own attacks. Her clothesline attempt missed widely and she was once again dropped to her knees by a kick to the back of the leg. Trin then followed by slamming her face first into the canvas with a running bulldog for yet another near fall.
- Trinity was known for taking big risks, and those sometimes just don’t pay off, and her first attempt at the Holy Trinity saw her crash on the empty canvas where Brighton was laying until Nine pulled her out of the way. The Leader seemed to have sweet and encouraging words for her minion as she put her arm around Brighton's shoulder and whispered something in her ear. The scene seemed to trigger Echo who approached the duo threatening Nine but her own sister stood between her and the Dutch woman. The staredown was intense, but it didn't last long. Once she got to her feet, Trinity immediately targeted her opponent with a dive to the outside. Nine saw it coming and pushed her adept out of the way, saving her from the impact. Seeing what just happened, Echo took a step to the side positioning herself where her sister used to be, catching Trinity in mid-air and carefully putting her down, unharmed.
- It was only a matter of time before the tension between Echo and Nine escalated into physical confrontation. The fiery Australian couldn’t take seeing her rival manipulating her sister and pulling her strings like a puppet and attacked the Frisian Demon. The brawl on the outside seemed to be matching the one happening inside the ring, and both of them saw the two sisters coming out on top. Echo was stringing together some heavy blows, slowly pushing Nine back into the barricade. Brighton had Thompson against the ropes and was still hitting her with forearm strikes to the face. She then grabbed her by the arm and whipped her into the ropes stepping toward the center of the ring to catch her on the rebound with her version of The Reverb. This could’ve been it, a massive win for the former Academy student but she didn't go for the pin, leaving the ring instead to stop Echo from bashing Nine’s skull in with the steel steps. Once again the two sisters were face to face, the tension between them at an all time high. Echo wasn’t too kind in her request for Brighton to snap out of it, Lancaster’s reply was ice-cold and blunt. “She’s more family than you’ve ever been”. The former Invictus and Jr. Heavyweight champion just stared at her sister, an expression of shock on her face as blood began to boil in her veins.
- Echo was so focused on Brighton that she didn’t even see Nine rising to her feet behind her back and grabbing a steel chair from under the ring. Holding it over her head, the Leader was silently sneaking up on the Aussie, ready to bash her skull with the weapon.. But out of nowhere came Trinity, using the top rope as a springboard to fly over their heads and taking out van der Hoek with a reckless dive. The landing wasn’t nice for either of them, Trin seemingly took herself out as well but, at least, she eliminated the threat momentarily. The chair fell from Nine’s grasp and slid on the floor, stopping at Brighton’s feet. The young member of The Band picked it up and looked at her big sister. Echo kept staring at her, almost daring her to take a swing. She didn’t, instead she kicked the Aussie in the stomach doubling her over. She then walked past her, looking to avenge her leader and take out Trinity with a chair shot, even though that would mean she’d get disqualified. She never achieved her goal, as she got picked up and slammed into the floor with a big spinebuster by her own sister, who returned the courtesy saving the defenseless Trinity. The match obviously ended, Brighton was awarded the win via disqualification. Thompson looked at the carnage surrounding her, confused and surprised. But as she took a first step toward Echo to either thank her or ask for an explanation, the Aussie walked out on her, holding her head high and never looking back at her sister’s motionless body.
WINNER: Brighton Lancaster BY: Disqualification, 7:14

- Skylynn, determined to keep the pressure on, pulls Melody up and whips her into the ropes. She goes for a dropkick, but Melody holds onto the ropes, causing Skylynn to hit the mat hard. Melody quickly moves in, locking in a Hoverboard Lock, wrenching back on Skylynn’s arm. Skylynn screams in pain, the crowd rallying behind her. She struggles towards the ropes, her face contorted in agony. With a final burst of strength, she manages to grab the bottom rope, forcing Melody to break the hold. Melody, frustrated, argues with the referee, giving Skylynn a moment to recover. As Melody turns back towards her opponent, Skylynn catches her with a sudden Pele kick, sending Melody sprawling to the mat.
- Melody Lennox quickly gets back to her feet, shaking off the effects of Skylynn Reed's Pele kick. Skylynn, seizing the moment, charges at Melody and connects with a running single-leg dropkick, knocking the champion back into the corner. Skylynn doesn't let up, hitting a series of Muay Thai knee strikes to Melody's midsection. Melody slumps in the corner, and Skylynn takes a step back, signaling to the crowd. She sprints towards the corner, leaping up and hitting a double knee strike to Melody's chest. The impact leaves Melody gasping for air as she collapses to the mat. Skylynn quickly pulls Melody to her feet and sets her up for a snap suplex. She executes it perfectly, floating over into a pinning position for another count of two.!
- Skylynn stays focused, pulling Melody up and attempting another suplex. This time, Melody blocks it, delivering a knee to Skylynn's gut. Melody quickly counters with a spinning neckbreaker, taking Skylynn down. She goes for the pin. but the challenger stays alive. Frustrated but determined, Melody pulls Skylynn up and whips her into the ropes. She goes for a clothesline, but Skylynn ducks under it and bounces off the opposite ropes, coming back with a flying crossbody. Melody catches her in mid-air, showing her strength, and transitions into a fallaway slam, sending Skylynn crashing to the mat. Melody takes a moment to catch her breath before climbing to the top rope. She steadies herself and leaps off with a beautifully executed Final Serenade Cyclorama. The crowd gasps as she crashes down onto Skylynn. Melody hooks the leg for the pin but once again it’s not enough to retain her title.
- Melody can't believe it. She slams the mat in frustration, arguing with the referee about the count. She pulls Skylynn up and sets her up for another big move, but Skylynn fights back with a series of forearm shots to Melody's head. Skylynn hits the ropes for momentum and comes back with a jumping calf kick, flooring Melody. Both competitors are down, breathing heavily. The crowd is on their feet, cheering for Skylynn to make a comeback. Slowly, they both rise to their feet. Skylynn is the first to act, hitting a spinning back kick to Melody's midsection, followed by a quick DDT. Skylynn doesn't go for the pin. Instead, she climbs to the top rope, looking to put the match away with a high-risk move. She leaps off with the Sky High (Delayed rotation moonsault), but Melody rolls out of the way at the last second, and Skylynn crashes hard onto the mat. Melody quickly capitalizes, pulling Skylynn up and setting her up for the Siren Song (Lo Mein Pain). She lifts Skylynn, but Skylynn wriggles free, landing behind Melody. She hits a quick chop block to Melody's knee, bringing the champion down to one knee. Skylynn wastes no time, hitting the ropes and coming back with a devastating running knee strike to Melody's head. Melody crumples to the mat, and Skylynn goes for the cover and the champion gets her shoulder up just in the nick of time. Skylynn Reed, determined to finish the match, pulls Melody Lennox up, signaling for her finisher. She sets Melody up for the Skyline (Sitout Shiranui). As Skylynn runs up the turnbuckle to execute the move, Melody shoves her off, sending Skylynn crashing to the mat.
- Melody, breathing heavily and clutching her head, takes a moment to regain her composure. She pulls Skylynn up by her hair, but Skylynn counters with a jawbreaker, staggering Melody. Skylynn quickly follows up with a superkick, catching Melody flush on the jaw and sending her to the mat.
With Melody down, Skylynn climbs to the top rope once again. This time, she doesn't hesitate. She leaps off with the Sky High (Delayed rotation moonsault) and connects perfectly, crashing down onto Melody. Skylynn hooks the leg but all she gets is another close call. The crowd is in disbelief, and Skylynn looks frustrated but resolute. She pulls Melody up and whips her into the corner. Skylynn charges in with a running knee strike, but Melody moves out of the way at the last second, causing Skylynn to crash into the turnbuckles. Melody, seizing the opportunity, rolls Skylynn up in a schoolgirl pin, using the ropes for leverage and almost steals one there. Both competitors are exhausted, but Skylynn digs deep, getting to her feet and catching Melody with a quick enzuigiri. Melody drops to one knee, and Skylynn quickly follows up with a snap DDT, planting Melody's head into the mat. Skylynn pulls Melody to her feet, setting her up for the Skyline once more. This time, she executes it flawlessly, hitting the Sitout Shiranui. The impact leaves Melody sprawled out on the mat, and Skylynn goes for the cover. And this time, she walks away with the gold.

PREVIOUSLY RECORDED…
We find ourselves in the infamous Gold Room. Billy Danielson’s shrine to himself and his achievements. There are championships from companies all over the globe adorned on the walls of The Gold Room, but the most important piece of gold in this story, is the one around his waist, the MWE World Championship.
The MWE Championship doesn’t just recognize the best wrestler across both brands, it symbolizes all the hard work Billy Danielson has gone through over his relatively tumultuous run in Millenium. Through all of his ups and downs, he finally broke his gold drought in MWE and did it with none other than their biggest prize and by taking it from arguably their biggest villain.
Finally, after 5 months of hiatus, he was able to show it to the world and be a proud champion, but with his first defense around the corner, Danielson was focused on more than just looking like a champion. He was focused on STAYING a champion. He looked around at the many memories of what he has accomplished thus far, and the reminders of what he has yet to achieve.
Billy Danielson: “Maybe the modern day isn’t the right time to make a Meek Mill reference, but…”
Danielson unhooks the MWE World Championship from around his waist and holds it low in one hand.
Billy Danielson: “I used to pray for times like this… to shine like this….”
Billy looks at his new MWE World Championship. The light reflects off of the belt and makes Danielson’s face look golden. Being able to see his face in the belt puts a small smile on his face.
Billy Danielson: “There was a time when I thought I couldn’t cut it in Millenium. There was a time when I thought the stiff talent on either roster, and the chokehold The Division had on this company would wash me out. There was a time I doubted myself and what brought me to ‘The Dance’ to begin with, and then I entered the Battle for the Briefcase tournament.”
Walking over to where a small podium is, and places his MWE Championship there. He sits in a red velvet chair that’s right next to the podium so that he can be right next to his display and indulge in the pride it brings him.
Billy Danielson: “I arguably had the hardest path to the finals, but I did better than even I thought I could at the time. The struggle, the hardships, the trials, and the tribulations reminded me why I EARNED the nicknames ‘Greatest of All Time’ and ‘The Franchise’. However, this whole process wasn’t just about reminding myself who I am… It was about reminding EVERYONE... and that includes Julian Savell and The Division!”
Billy shrugs for a moment, knowing that some people truly needed a reminder. It was that ounce of humility that kept him level-headed, but now that he was riding high once more, it was going to be hard to keep The GOAT down.
Billy Danielson: “And I won’t lie, it was getting easy to forget just how great I am, but even Jesus needed miracles to put people on notice. However, whereas Jesus turned water into wine, I turned Julian’s championship into mine!”
He leans forward in the chair and places one hand on the podium. Again he looks at the MWE Championship, but this time he has a more cocky smirk on his face than he does a genuine smile.
Billy Danielson: “I beat Julian and The Division at their own game. I hit Julian when he was most vulnerable, and I made sure there wasn’t a single member of The Division able to help him when I did it too.”
The MWE World Champion puts up a quick finger because he can hear the former champion’s voice already.
Billy Danielson: “Because of that, though, Julian will have you believe that it was a fluke. He’d have you believe that had he has been able to defend himself properly any other night, I wouldn’t have been able to strip his precious championship from him. Well, now, in front of a jury of our peers who are just itching to get their hands on either of us, he has his chance to prove that he is the better man.”
That cold, cocky smirk comes back across Billy’s face. The thought of a Lumberjack match made him feel like that was the perfect way to make his statement to the rest of Millenium, and also neutralize The Division once again. He was all but itching to get back in an MWE ring and show off, and what better way than to embarrass The Division!
Billy Danielson: “But what Julian, The Division, and the rest of the MWE rosters are going to find out, is that when Billy Danielson is motivated and primed, he is nothing short of EVERYTHING he says he is and more. I’m leading this company into a new era, and when I get a hold of the company…”
Danielson slowly rises to his feet and lifts his MWE championship over his head.
Billy Danielson: “I seldom let it go!”
MWE World Championship Match Lumberjack Match Billy Danielson © VS Julian Savell
- Both the champion and the challenger had six lumberjacks surrounding the ring. Julian had his trusted brothers and sisters of The Division, namely Tyson Gregory, Ahalya Patel, Olly, Jack Graves, Benjamin Atlas and Jvstice Hardy. On Billy’s side there was a bit more of a motley crew, people who didn’t have much in common other than the hatred for The Division. Alex Andrews was among them, as well as Tiff and her girlfriend, the new Intercontinental Champion Skylynn Reed. Andrew Raynes happily joined the fray, still having unfinished business with Julian and his crew and then there was the Time Lord herself. Ava Grimes was supposed to be the sixth and final member but having been benched by the doctors, she was replaced by Jacky Rex Daniels. As the twelve lumberjacks were taking their spots at ringside, the Millennium General Manager BROOKFORD came out on the stage holding a microphone. The Problem Solver cut to the chase, saying that given what happened at Dark Web, they decided to take some measures to prevent the main event from turning into another mess. In those words, a whole battalion of security enforcers walked out, forming a cordon around the lumberjacks, outnumbering them two to one. “Not only”, BROOKFORD continued, “They’ll prevent any further interference, but they’re also instructed to remove any lumberjack who steps out of the line and does more than what’s required from them, which is to push a competitor back in the ring when they leave it.” The news was received quite well by almost everyone, except The Division who likely had plans to use the stipulation to their advantage. Julian was still yelling at the GM when the bell rang, and Billy wasted no time to level him with a clothesline. Julian instantly rolled out of the ring, on the side where the Division folks were standing, buying himself some time.
- Even with all the restrictions put in place by BROOKFORD, the action out of the ring didn't quite stop. It just changed shape, coming now in the form of taunts and trash talk from the Division folks toward the people in Billy's corner who were doing their best not to give in and fall in their trap. Truth being told, Tiff almost slipped away and took a step toward Olly to slap the shit out of him, but Alex stopped her and told her it wasn't worth it. Back inside the ring, the classic battle of power versus speed was taking place, and Danielson was controlling the fight with surprising ease, imposing his pace and keeping Julian grounded with powerful slams and headlocks that ended up frustrating the former champion to the point where he opted for a strategic retreat among his fellow Division members. They all gathered around him, each offering a piece of advice or a word of encouragement. All but Olly,, who instead stood a few steps back, away from the crowd of his friends. If you could look in his sunken, sleep deprived eyes as they quickly moved from Billy to his Lumberjacks, from the lumberjacks to the security guards and once again back to the MWE World champion, you’d see deep anger and an infinite sadness. A very dangerous combination on someone like the two time Tag champion, making him a ticking time bomb
- Eventually Julian entered the ring, staying on the defensive and luring Billy into charging at him. As he did, Savell pulled down the top rope and caused The Franchise to fall out of the ring, right on The Division’s side. Security and Billy’s lumberjacks immediately stood to attention, ready to deal with The Division should they try any funny business but for once the rowdy crew played by the rules and simply picked Danielson up and rolled him back inside the ring, where Julian was waiting for him with a series of stomps to the head and chest. Somehow the champ was able to grab the foot before it crushed his sternum but Savell pushed down on Billy’s hands to lift himself in the air and land with all his weight on his ribs, causing Danielson to groan in pain. Julian hooked the legs for a cover but he’d need a lot more to win back the title. His next move was to climb the turnbuckle and jump with a double foot stomp, looking to do further damage to the champ’s ribs, but Billy rolled out of the way avoiding the impact. Julian landed on his feet and quickly turned around into a discus lariat that flattened him.
- The presence of the guards in riot gear seemed to be enough to keep the lumberjacks in check. Or maybe it was the promise that they would be ejected that made them behave, but so far there had been no incidents between the competitors and the lumberjacks. At least until now. Inside the ring, Julian and Billy were really putting everything they got in the attempt to overcome the opponent and capture the gold. It wasn’t much of a technical contest, it wasn’t a spectacular bout by any means. But the intensity they showed as they slugged it out in the center of the squared circle really made it up for the lack of awe inspiring moments. Billy tried to behead Savell with a massive clothesline but missed the target as Julian ducked the stretched-out arm and continued his run toward the ropes, bouncing back to deliver a devastating jumping knee to the jaw. Danielson fell back into the ropes, visibly stunned by the sudden, hard impact. As he was trying to regain his bearings, the former champ hit him with a clothesline that sent him over the top rope and out of the ring, right in the Division’s section. The crew just looked at the champion on his all fours, mocking him rather than bringing him back inside the ring. Olly was a couple of steps away from them, eyes locked on Billy who was slowly getting up. For a brief moment, the Academy graduate took his eyes away from him to glance over at Julian. The two exchanged a nod and then the two time Tag Team champion charged at full speed, hitting Danielson on the back of his head with a tremendous Random Act Of Violence. It looked like the champ was out, laying sprawled on the floor surrounded by the shocked members of The Division. Billy’s lumberjacks tried to reach him but security got in the way, avoiding any form of contact between the two groups.
- WHACK! The jarring thud echoed through the ether as Olly instantly collapsed to the ground, bleeding profusely from the back of his head, hit by a security guard with a wicked swing of the nightstick. He and his equally zealous colleague then proceeded to kick, stomp and pound the young man with their batons Perhaps a bit of an extreme way to “remove from the match” than what BROOKFORD originally intended but the reason for their behavior was soon disclosed as they dropped their hats to reveal their true identity: Duke Andrews and Alan Envy disguised as security to pursue their vengeance on the young man after the events of Night One. They took their generous pound of flesh before some of their “colleagues” were able to stop them. Olly was curled up on the floor, not too far from where he laid Billy down, bleeding from his cracked skull and busted nose, his shirt ripped on the side revealing the stamp of Alan’s boot on his ribcage area. But despite having seen better days, he still got up to his feet and pushed away the security guard who was tasked to escort him backstage, walking away on his own accord. On his way out, he stopped halfway on the ramp, staring at something, or rather someone, in the crowd. His expression was one of pure shock, as if he had seen a ghost. And in a way, it was like he did. There was a young amongst the fans, vaguely resembling his recently departed girlfriend Faith. A very vague resemblance, to be fair, but clearly not for him. His eyes were fixated on her, to the point where it took him some time to realize that she was handing him a shawl, or a neckerchief perhaps. When she pointed it out, he shook from that trance-like state and grabbed the cloth, using it to clean some blood from his face. As the realization that it couldn’t be Faith finally kicked in, he threw the blood-soaked scarf back at the girl, catching her on her smiling face and possibly making her regret making that act of kindness toward the hurt wrestler.
- As things somehow came back to normal at ringside, the towering Atlas picked up Billy’s limp body from the floor and pushed him back in the ring, positioning him close to the ring post atop of which Julian was waiting. With a wide grin on his face, the former champion leapt and landed on top of Danielson with the Savell Splash, but the spectacular move that gave him so many wins in his career wasn’t enough to put Billy out. Savell couldn’t believe it, and out of frustration he picked up his opponent and threw him in the corner, where he started to hit him with a flurry of forearm strikes to the face. Somehow that seemed to have the opposite effect, firing up Danielson who finally began to fight back, gaining ground on the challenger and pushing him back toward the center of the ring. Then he grabbed him by the wrists and whipped him into the turnbuckle with enough strength to make him bounce back right into his arms. Picking him up, he lifted him in the air and violently slammed him face first into the canvas. Instinctively, Julian rolled out of the ring but did it in the wrong side of town, getting immediately pushed back in by Alex Andrews and Anna Daniels who told him to “stop being a bitch”.
- Olly wasn’t the only one who got expelled. As the match entered its crucial phase, Julian tried to take another break to slow down Billy’s momentum but Tiff was right there to get him back in the ring. Ahalya Patel wanted to buy him some time and shoved the Five Foot Death Kicker to the floor.Tiff wasn’t going to take it, quickly popping to her feet and tackling the Chicago Way champion to the ground, starting to rain down lefts and rights to the Indian’s face. Security was quick to intervene and separate the two women but as they were escorting them outside, Patel wiggled free and blasted the blonde with the Chicago Way championship, just like she did in the main event of Dark Web V. In the meantime, Julian grabbed Billy’s foot and dragged him outside, under the bottom rope. The two began to fight at ringside, the lumberjacks unsure whether they should intervene or not. The momentum of the brawl took them close to the announcer’s desk, and that was when Julian poked him in the eyes and slammed his head on the announcer’s table. Savell then tried to lift Billy and drive him through the table with a suplex but the world champion held his ground and blocked the attempt. On top of that, he was the one lifting the opponent for a front suplex and crashing him through the desk. Looking to capitalize on this, he quickly went back inside the ring and made the cover, but Savell got his shoulder up in time.
- After twenty minutes of a brutal battle, both men looked pretty rough. Pinfall attempts began to happen more and more frequently, and with each and every failure, frustration started to creep up in both competitors. Julian seemed particularly nervous, especially after Billy managed to survive the Savior Kick by leaning his foot on the bottom rope. Julian was livid, first accusing the referee of being too slow and then trying to pin the blame on Alex, accusing her of being the one who grabbed Danielson’s foot and allowed him to save him from defeat, pointing out how Billy hadn’t moved since getting his head kicked in by the leader of The Division. But despite his current status, Billy didn’t need any help to survive Julian’s kick, it was his instinct that allowed him to keep the title around his waist. And even this current stillness was just to gather his strength and surprise Savell with a school boy cradle. But rather than trying to “steal one”, he rolled through and proceeded to lift the former champion and threw him into the corner following this impressive feat of strength with a devastating Chicago Blackout. To give Julian his flowers, he found the strength to kick out from that vicious combo and from the following The Franchise (inverted crucifix powerbomb). But Billy knew he was so close to finally putting him down, and he just kept hitting Savell with a couple more Chicago Blackouts before ending this on a high note with his Big Match Driver (Crucifix Piledriver). This time, Julian wasn’t able to get his shoulder up before the count of three.
