Chaos Theory Championship Match
Emma Wakefield © VS Evelyn Carter (w/ Jessica Carter)
WINNER: Emma Wakefield (STILL CHAOS THEORY CHAMPION) BY: Pinfall (Emmargency Call), 12:03 |
After the Chaos Theory match we cut to the backstage area where we find two faces who should be quite familiar to anyone who followed The Academy's third season. Jelena Scherbakova, formerly known as Arina, and Ava Grimes are standing in front of the camera for what appears to be the Russian born's first interview on the grand stage.
Jelena Scherbakova:
Good evening MWE fans, and welcome to Zeitgeist. My name is Jelena Scherbakova, I understand that my name may be a bit tricky to remembeer and pronounce, therefore you are all welcome to simply call me Lena.
The interviewer-in-training flashes a smile to the camera before turning her focus back on her guest.
Jelena Scherbakova:
Joining me at this time is one of the recently graduated students of The Academy, who is set to make her debut tomorrow night in the final Team Title match. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome my guest, Ava Grimes.
The young Grimes nods at the camera.
Jelena Scherbakova:
Ava, let's start from the end, or at least one end. The Academy year has just finished, and for you it's been quite the troubled one. You spent most of it on the sidelines after two back-to-back concussions. How did you feel having to watch your fellow students grow and thrive while you couldn't even train? And do you think that this prolonged absence affected your preparation?
Ava Grimes:
Obviously, I would be lying to myself if I said it didn't. While everyone else was stepping up their game, I fell behind. There's so many things I could have learned under Lady Magdalena, things that could have helped shaping me up into the wrestler I know I can be, but that chance was taken away from me. I still did the best of my time with her, even though it was way too short.
Ava quickly responds.
Ava Grimes:
Luckily, I was already way better than most at the time of my first injury, so if the implicit question was if I'm worried about tonight's match, my answer is no. My peers had a few months to catch up with me, let's see how close they got.
The second part of her answer, more in line with her confident personality, is followed by a smirk.
Jelena Scherbakova:
I believe you will be pleasantly surprised with the progress they all made. Everyoone has been working so hard, and winning the Team Titles won't be an easy task.
Ava Grimes:
I know, and I'm not looking for an easy challenge either. I want, I DEMAND the toughest challenge. See, I envisioned my debut differently, I'm not going to lie. I pictured the bright lights, a steel cage, my former best friend standing across me and the sweet taste of revenge. I wanted Reign, I wanted the alleged and self-appointed Best Of The Academy, I wanted payback. But all of that was denied to me when she, after spewing lies and venom for months, backed down from the fight. I wonder what her grandpa would think of her behavior, or what Joey has to say. Throwing stones and hiding the hiding her hands was never her thing, I wonder what she got it from. Maybe her "uncle"? He is known for talking shit and then hide behind his goon squad.
The outspoken young woman never hid her hatred toward The Division, probably only second to the one she feels toward her former best friend.
Ava Grimes:
So when it comes to tomorrow's match? No offense to my partner or my opponents, but it's a step back from what I dreamt about for months. Still, I'm aware that every single person involved in this match will want to shine and show what they're capable of. But I made a promise, that Team Strike will end the year with all the Academy titles. We already secured the Gold Star, with either Scott or CJ holding it at the end of tonight. And tomorrow, Marina and I will bring the team titles home as well, bet on it.
As a former Team Strike member, Jelena couldn't help but nod and smile.
Jelena Scherbakova:
You mentioned the Gold Star match that will be starting in a matter of minutes. I'm not asking you who's your pick to win, I have a feeling everyone knows the answer to that question. But is it somewhat awkward to see your boyfrend and one of your closest friends fighting?
Ava shakes her head.
Ava Grimes:
Awkward? Not at all. It wouldn't be awkward if I were in CJ's place to fight Scott, or vice-versa. I know that, unlike someone else, they are professionals and whatever happens in that ring will end when the bell rings. As for my pick to win it? Scott has worked hard to become the Gold Star and the Valedictorian title is proof to that. CJ definitely deserves this shot, and I would be happy to see him winning the title in such an important stage. And I know for a fact that Scott feels the same way, he respects CJ he's looking forward to put on a show with him. So to answer your question, may the best wrestler win tonight. And if that's Scott, even better. We'll have a reason to celebrate tonight.
The smile on her face quickly fades as Jelena drops the next question.
Jelena Scherbakova:
When you said "unlike someone else" earlier, did you mean Reign? Do you think she's unprofessional and unsafe?
Ava Grimes:
Reign is many things, most of which are unflattering, but that dig wasn't at her. i don't believe that she injured me on purpose. Sure, she could have stopped instead of hitting me when I was already half knocked out, but, you know, the heat of the moment and all that.
The young woman shrugs her shoulders.
Ava Grimes:
No, the unprofessional bitch I was talking about is Saoirse. What she did to me, that was on purpose, and it's something I will never forget nor forgive. Make no mistake, one day I will make her pay for it.
Jelena just stares at her for a brief moment before adfding.
Jelena Scherbakova:
I would say that you should let it go and move on, but in these few months I got to know you I learned that you are not wired that way. So please, be careful Ava. And good luck for your match tomorrow and for what I'm sure will a wonderful and long career.
Flashing a wide smile, the young Grimes raises her hand and crosses the fingers.
Ava Grimes:
Thank you Lena. Now, if you will excuse me, there's a match I'm particularly interested in. And let me tell you, it's going to be... Great.
And with that, she's out to watch her boyfriend Scott Martell defending the Gold Star.
Jelena Scherbakova:

Lounging in their shared locker room are Camila Abrines and Kiana Masters of 2MF1. Their bags are lying open with their in-ring attires and wrestling boots all neatly laid out and ready for them. Yet both ladies are happily watching the show and doing their own critical commentary while laughing at their own jokes and enjoying vitamin water in fancy glasses. Though they don’t seem to be in any hurry to get ready for their own match, it would be a mistake to say that they’re not mentally ready at this point.
Kiana Masters:
I am soooo ready to get tonight over and done with!
She downs the last of her vitamin glass before pouring more. Camila rolls her eyes in response.
Camila Abrines:
Tell me about it, KiKi!
Kiana shoots her a look of agreement.
Kiana Masters:
This is like what, our 10th time wrestling these jokers?
Though it’s obviously an exaggeration, Camila is just as annoyed and nods along.
Camila Abrines:
When are we getting a proper match? Like for the tag titles, am I right?
Kiana Masters:
So right! We already beat Sisters of Stupidity and if it weren’t for Dumb and Dumber and their severe lack of competence last time, we could’ve shut down So Lame 101 too. Oh and by the way Niko’s Meteor Strike should be banned ‘cause I couldn’t sleep, eat or move for a week after that! You got too excited in your comeback and couldn’t control yourself. I was in so much pain! First, the unfair advantage of being mystery opponents and then the unnecessary overkill finisher? Too much! Clearly, you need to be stopped. All of them need to be stopped! So tonight, we settle this once and for all!
Then a sly smile appears on her face.
Kiana Masters:
I know it’s not gonna be easy taking out 3 teams in 1 match. But that’s what Cami and I do! We get in the face of every challenge thrown our way and we laugh and laugh all the way to victory.
Camila nods in agreement.
Camila Abrines:
That’s how it’s always going to be. The odds being stacked against us and we end up succeeding anyway. That’s why we’ve been champions everywhere we’ve gone. That’s why we’ll be champions here. Because we’re the best there’s ever been in this company. You want to stack us against three trash teams? Sure, whatever. We’ll beat them all and make this tag division look like a joke.
Camila laughs and shakes her head.
Camila Abrines:
I just can’t decide which team I want us to pin tonight?
Camila thinks it over before looking at Kiki.
Camila Abrines:
Who do you want to embarrass the most tonight?
Kiana pretends to think.
Kiana Masters:
Welllll, we already humiliated the two sisters so that’d be too easy. How ‘bout dem bois huh? Nah! Whatever plan Walker has is just gonna be another “blind lead the blind” and Jasper will just follow him off the cliff or something. So I guess that leaves us with… Valkyrie and Niko, Warblade 42. Which is perfect because ever since Anarchy in the UK, they tried to sabotage our match by distracting us with their stupid entrance music and sticking their noses where they don’t belong like they’re better than us! Who do they think they are?? No, no, no! Uh uh!
Pouting, Camila shakes her head along with Kiana.
Kiana Masters:
They are done trying to throw us off track. We are ending this and it’s NOT gonna look good especially for those two. And if that sends Niko back to the sidelines for another year, then that’s just icing on the cake!
Both girls laugh, clearly having nothing but ill will towards their opponents.
Camila Abrines:
Couldn’t have said it better myself, hermana! And that’s why all you tag teams out there, better get this through your heads if you haven’t yet. Kiana and I are always on the same page and we work so perfectly well together that there’s just no way you can beat us. 2MF1, the REAL faces of Millennium Wrestling. Accept your fates.
Kiana Masters:
Mmhmm. Now, shoo! We’re done talking.
They both make ‘shooing’ gestures at the camera as they chase the crew out before closing the door.
Kiana Masters:

Close-up on Izzi Grimes lacing her boots. Even though she’s not a regular competitor in MWE, the HRW tag team champion is becoming quite the habitué around here. Later tonight, she will be stepping in the ring once again, but this time in singles competition rather than as part of the Mighty Nightfall. Sitting right next to her is her cousin, the former Academy student Ava Grimes.
Ava Grimes:
You know what? No offense, Izzi, but this might actually be the first time I’m jealous of you.
Comes the voice of the recently graduated young girl.
Ava Grimes:
I wish I could be the one kicking Reign’s ass tonight. Hell, I SHOULD be the one but you saw how she ducked me. And while I appreciate you stepping up in my place, I can’t help but think that she played us both.
There’s obviously bitterness in her voice.
Ava Grimes:
Not only did she get away with the horrible things she did and said denying my rightful revenge, but she even got a high profile match against a champion like you. In the end, the bitch got everything she wanted.
Izzi sighs and nods.
Izzi Grimes:
I know, Ava, I know. She needs to pay up for the things she put you through and also for putting a wedge between you and Sammy. Reign acts like she gets you but she doesn’t. She never has. If she did? It never would have come to this point.
Izzi placed a hand on Ava’s shoulder and smiled.
Izzi Grimes:
Gavin wasn’t going to step up and neither was Corey. Somebody had to and so here I am. This is for you and for our family, which Reign is trying to tear apart. It’s funny how she compares her and Sammy to Ashleigh and Gavin, because Ashleigh tried to rip our family apart as well. Just like Ash, though? She’ll fade away.
Ava Grimes:
I know this was awkward as fuck for Gavin, but seeing him praise Reign even after all this? That was disappointing.
Ava let out a sigh, looking up at her cousin.
Ava Grimes:
But I guess that's something I'll work out with him. I appreciate you for stepping up tho, and if her plan was to get some big name for her debut match, I'm sure you'll make her regret it. She bit more than she can chew, and the fun part is that she doesn't know it.
Izzi smiles and nods.
Izzi Grimes:
You’re right. But I’m not going to get too cocky. She definitely has some tricks up her sleeve planned because that is what she does. Anything she can do to get the upper hand? She’ll do that. I’m ready for whatever she has to throw at me.
Before Ava can speak, a male voice interrupts their conversation. It's a voice both Ava and Izzi know quite well.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Reign is not the only one you need to worry about, Isobel.
Dressed in his impeccable Armani suit, the former Millennium and [R]evo general manager and current principal of The Academy steps into the scene, greeting the two Grimes with a smile and a nod. A moment of slight embarrassment and awkwardness follows Gian’s appearance on the scene, especially coming from Izzi. Ava seems puzzled, staring at Izzi, probably unaware of the past history between her former Principal and her cousin.
Izzi Grimes:
Once upon a time, I may have found this halo of mystery and your way of talking saying everything and its opposite very charming and fascinating… But as years passed. I became less and less fond of it. Tonight, especially, I’m finding it quite annoying.
Her words are followed by a smile, making them slightly less bitter.
Izzi Grimes:
Since it’s my match we’re talking about, if you have something to share with the class, please, do so.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Fair enough. I was in Elsa’s office earlier and I couldn’t help but notice that Reign filed a request to have Nathan Callaghan in her corner. A request that has been granted by management. Like I said, she’s not the only one you have to worry about tonight.
After the initial surprise, Izzi lets out a sigh, accepting a decision she can do nothing about. Ava’s reaction, on the other hand, is not quite as calm and collected.
Ava Grimes:
That BITCH!
She bursts out, clenching her fists in rage.
Ava Grimes:
I’ll be in your corner, Izzi. I don’t care what I have to do to convince the GM to sign the papers, I’ll knock her on her ass if I have to…
Shaking his head, Gian gently grabs his former student’s arm as she walks past him, stopping her march to the GM office.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
A different approach is preferable with Elsa. You’ll find out that she’s a very reasonable and fair woman, if treated with the respect she deserves. A lot of people thought they could force her hand, or bully her around. But she’s the type of woman you don’t want to corner, because that’s when her claws come out. Not that it matters much, but don’t make the same mistake some of your peers made.
Ava nods, seemingly understanding and accepting the advice. At that point, Gian lets go of her arm and she’s free to head toward the General Manager’s office.
Izzi Grimes:
You did it again.
Izzi says with a roll of her eyes.
Izzi Grimes:
You gave Ava an advice then said it doesn’t matter. Why? What are you not telling her? Elsa is not allowing her to be at ringside, right?
The Academy Principal’s attitude seems to be frustrating the HRW tag team champion. And the fact that he won’t answer her questions only exacerbates it.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
It was good to see you again, Isobel. And good luck in tonight’s match.
Without adding a word, he then leaves the scene. Once again Izzi rolls her eyes and sighs

The scene opens showing a pre-recorded scene from the previous night showing a open clearing in the woods late at night with a campfire burning as two women one with red hair wearing a red mask, and a white haired girl wearing a white mask walks standing in front of the campfire removing their masks revealing Caitlyn Sage, and Ashley Layeth.
Caitlyn Sage:
At Zeitgeist my sister, and I go to war with three other teams in a no disqualification match, on paper that sounds like one big clusterfuck, and the referee will struggle to keep any sense of order, and to that I say this. All notions of order are a myth, the only of the universe is chaos. Expand your sight, and you’ll realize, there is order in every chaos.
Ashley Layeth puts both her hands on Caitlyn’s shoulders and steps from behind her.
Ashley Layeth:
Warblade 42, 2MF1, Walker, and Jasper King? We may be the new kids to the playground, but do not underestimate us, because in this match where it’s full of anarchy and chaos? The Sisters of Calamity breathe that shit, and the fact that it’s no rules? You think Caitlyn is methodical and maniacal? You think I am bat shit crazy?
Ashley gets a big grin on her face and licks her lips seductively as to be turned on as she lets out a small giggle.
Ashley Layeth:
I can get a little too careless with the rules in the ring I admit cause I get too excited, so who is going to stop me when there are no rules? Let's say I accidentally injure someone or end a career? What are you going to do… fine me? That won’t hold in court, because everyone in this match knows what they are signing up for when they sign the contract for a no rules match. You think that's scary? Caitlyn over here likes to play cool, calm, and collected, but the truth of the matter is she is far more scary than me… she may play by the rules for the most part, but her methods are more… Well, some poor unfortunate souls are about to find out tonight.
Ashley gets a smirk on her face as Caitlyn pats Ashley on the head.
Caitlyn Sage:
Please don’t view us as the bad guys, our intentions may be vile and questionable, but we are not bad people, because you see? We adore chaos, because we love to produce order, and that is what we have been trying to teach our dear Selena Lyre that while Chaos seems dark, and evil? If you look hard enough, chaos turns into order the way letters turn into words.
As Caitlyn finishes talking? Selena Lyre steps between Caitlyn, and Ashley wearing a blue mask with a yellow lightning bolt on both sides of it, she reaches up removing the mask and dropping it on the ground beside her.
Selena Lyre:
I have tried so hard to be the good girl, I have played by the rules, and tried to do things the right way? And where has this gotten me? Yes it has gotten me opportunity after opportunity, but what good are opportunities if people constantly interfere in your business? It so fucking frustrating, but thanks to Ashley, and Caitlyn? I finally understand what Mr.X meant when he slapped me telling me to be more serious and focused, I finally know what Mr.X meant when he said use the hatred I feel inside to push me forward… I finally understand what Caitlyn means when she told me I need to learn to be a sadist. At Zeigeist my night will also be chaotic, but I welcome it! JJ Night, Tank Steiner, Thatcher Ray Nash, and the champion, and my friend Gabriel Landry? I want every single one of you to know that the Selena Lyre stepping into this match isn’t the Selena Lyre of old? You see I have matured, and realized that I need to what must be done so I am not stepping into this match with intentions of Having a great match, or playing fair.
Selena shakes her head left and right,
Selena Lyre:
I am stepping into this match with the intention of becoming your new Lockdown Champion no matter what the cost, my anger towards JJ for what he did during my last match? Doesn't matter. My friendship with Gabriel? Matters not, because anyone who gets in my way I am putting you down no matter the method, because I am no longer concerned with others well being, my only focus now is the bigger picture for myself, and the Sisters of Calamity, and this is all necessary, because the Division has started a war with the whole entire roster so there are no more time for games, the only way Millennium can become a better place is if the Division goes down, and so even if the world burns down around us, and innocent people are damaged along the way? So be it! Millennium will be reborn! I will bring order from chaos, and light from the darkness. Hoc bellum est…. This is war!
Selena, and the Sisters of Calamity all bow their heads as the scene comes to an end.
Caitlyn Sage:
At Zeitgeist my sister, and I go to war with three other teams in a no disqualification match, on paper that sounds like one big clusterfuck, and the referee will struggle to keep any sense of order, and to that I say this.

The scene opens up to see Alex Andrews sitting on the trunk of her rental car, just lost in thought for a moment, her gym bag settled beside her. She lets out a small sigh before she begins speaking.I
Alex Andrews:
You know, I find myself in a bit of an unusual spot for me. I don't often walk into many matches an odds on favorite. Not saying I am here, but I do have the experience on Sammy Grimes. Which isn't something I can usually say on most of my opponents, either. I usually walk into matches as an underdog, most of the time being the smallest but scrappiest dog in the fight.
She rolls her shoulders.
Alex Andrews:
But here, in this match for the Battle for the Briefcase Tournament? I don't get to fall into my normal habits. I don't get the luxury of leaning back on old instincts. Why? Because Sammy Grimes is one hungry kid and I respect that of him. And that makes him dangerous and unpredictable. I get it. You're just out of the Academy and you want this like nothing else you've wanted this in your life. And you'll say and do anything to make it happen. I get that, truly I do. Heck, I've probably said similar stuff back in the day. But I will tell you something the World Heavyweight Champion at the time told me when I faced him.
She clears her throat.
Alex Andrews:
There are levels to this. And you can have all the aspirations in the world and all the heart, but quite frankly, I'm just one step ahead of you. You have this..fire, this rage in you, and it's going to get you into trouble. You've seen what I've been able to accomplish here in my time in MWE, but I will stop at nothing to get there. Nothing. You are going to see whom exactly is higher on the food chain here, Sammy. Chris Sanderson knew I was a threat to what he wanted. Former Heavyweight Champion CCJ saw first hand how capable I am. But all that has done is given you a chance to study me, an I right?
Alex chuckles to herself and then clears her throat, just watching the camera.
Alex Andrews:
I'm sure you've done your due diligence. You watched me in House of Wrestling hold onto that Grand Championship for seven months, even holding back your dear brother from claiming it. So yeah, you know me better than most, I'd say. But if you truly knew me kid, you wouldn't be spouting the things you are. You want this? well, quite frankly, so do I. I want this badly, just as bad if not more than you do. And I dig deep. VERY deep. Can you say the same? I've beaten world champions along path to where I am today. Most of them underestimated me. So when I say I'm not gonna underestimate you, Sammy. Please believe me, I'll be ready for you.
She nods and gives a wink at the camera.
Alex Andrews:
I might just have a surprise or two waiting on you.
She licks her lips and smiles as she hops off the trunk of her car. Alex grabs her gym bag and hoists it over a shoulder as she turns and heads off into the arena.

Pre-recorded…
We open outside in Cologne, Germany. Towering high overhead is the gorgeous gothic architecture of the Cologne Cathedral. The crowd in the background isn’t a very large one but there is a crowd nonetheless. A few moments later we see Angelica Jones stepping into the view from the right. The Dragon is wearing a knee length black pencil skirt, black high heeled patent leather pumps, and a sleeveless black top. Her long red hair hangs straight and unrestrained to past the shoulders.
Angelica Jones:
Behind me is the Cologne Cathedral, the seat of power of the Archdiocese of Cologne and as far as any medieval church in Europe…not counting the churches in the Vatican…I would have to say that this one is among my favorites. It has stood the test of time, from being built in the mid thirteenth century to its restoration in the present day. And to this day an average of twenty thousand people a day come to visit this historic landmark of German Catholicism. Do you know who that reminds you of?
The Dragon pats herself on the chest.
Angelica Jones:
Me. I have stood the test of time. For twenty years I have been active in this business. I have competed all over the world, I have trained the next generation, I have even dipped my toe into the executive side of promoting and running the show. I have done everything there is to do in this business and for most, that would be enough. For most they could be happy and content with what they have accomplished and call it career. But I am not most people. I am Angelica Jones, I am The Golden Goddess, and I admit, I am still greedy, but more importantly I am still hungry. I am hungry to prove that I can still go, that I can still be the very best in the world at what I do. And also like this cathedral, I am still an attraction. I still have quite the fanbase who want to see me succeed one more time. I also have my detractors, my critics, and my enemies who despite their negative feelings towards me will be watching very closely to see how far I can go before I fail.
Jones shakes her head.
Angelica Jones:
Unfortunately for them, I have no intention of failing. I came out of retirement not for nostalgia purposes but to succeed, to be the best, and to become world champion. I signed with MWE to one day become MWE World Champion. And this Battle for the Briefcase is my opportunity, my GOLDEN opportunity, to do just that…
She points at the camera.
Angelica Jones:
Which brings me to you, Rivera. You may think that you have an opportunity. You may look at this as an opportunity to advance in this prestigious tournament and to make a name for yourself at my expense. But if you’re thinking that then you are wrong. You are dead wrong. See, you drew the short end of the stick. You came up snake eyes. You are the unlucky soul chosen to face The Dragon in the first round of Battle for the Briefcase and trust me, Rivera, I am going to burn you alive. Just like this cathedral, I DO stand the test of time, and I will keep going, I will beat you and I will continue to fight in this tournament until I win it all, and punch my ticket to a world title match.

We cut inside Elsa McCarthy's office to find out that the Millennium General Manager is not alone. Sitting on the opposite side of her desk is a man dressed in a black hoodie, and while his position with the back turned to the camera doesn't allow us to figure out who he is, we can assume he's a wrestler, possibly a new signing.
Elsa McCarthy:
I'm glad you could make it to Berlin. I know we could have taken care of the bureaucratic part in remote but I always prefer to meet the people I'm going to sign in person.
She pushes a MWE contract toward the mysterious new signing as he grabs a pen from the desk and seems to be about to put his signature on the dotted line. Perhaps before doing so he'll say something, revealing his identity?
Staff:
Miss McCarthy! Miss McCarhty!
A backstage crew member burst through the door, calling the General Manger's attention.
Elsa McCarthy:
Can't this wait a minute? As you can see, I'm in the middle of something here.
Staff:
No.. I mean yes... Uhh... Maybe?
The GM lets out a sigh, inviting the staff member to speak.
Staff:
It's Luis Rivera... They found him unconsious in his locker room, someone busted his head open... Doc says he won't be able to compete in the tournament.
Elsa facepalms, the night has just started and there's already some pronlems arising.
Elsa McCarthy:
Arrange his transfer to the nearest hospital, make sure there's a translator with him and that they take all the required examinations. Hopefully tonight's match will be the only one he misses.
The staff nods and exits the room, leaving Elsa alone with her mysterious guest.
Elsa McCarthy:
I apologize for the interruption, I promise you this kind of things don't happen too often. And by that I mean that usually staff members knock the door before entering my office. Backstage assaults, on the other hand, are more frequent. Which is why I believe you will feel at home here, You are known for thriving in chaos.
She smiles at the new signing, who seems to agree with her with a light nod of his head.
Elsa McCarthy:
Well then, if you can just put your signature here, I can officially welcome you to MWE. I wish we had more time to talk about what to expect from this partnership but as you can see I'm going to have a busy night. For a starter, I have to inform Kayla Jones that she gets a bye round and will advance in the tournament without competing. Unless...
She stares briefly at the man sitting in front of her.
Elsa McCarthy:
How do you feel about making your debut tonight? Would that be a problem for you?
There's a chuckle coming from the man, as he stands up from the chair and cracks his knuckles.
??:
A problem? Fighting will never be a problem for me.
As he turns to the camera, we finally get to see his identity. The Liberty Pro Anarchy Champion Kendrick Kross has come to MWE!

Hours before the show starts, Alice Wagner is seen standing inside the empty ring, her eyes scanning the stands that, soon enough, will be filled with screaming fans.
Alice Wagner:
If you told me six months ago that I would be wrestling in front of 20k people in Germany, I would have laughed so hard.
Despite joining the Academy in January, Wagner quickly became one of the most recognizable names among the roster of students, and not just for her peculiar looks. She impressed coaches and fans alike with her natural talent and work ethic, both on full display in that incredible pre-show match in Londonm against Reign Reyes, a guarantee MOTY candidate.
Alice Wagner:
And yet, here we are, doing what I promised myself I would never be doing again. And the funniest part is that I'm loving it.
The colored-hair girl let out a soft chuckle.
Alice Wagner:
Perhaps my uncle was right all along, this is my destiny and I just can't run from it. And for a bit, after joining the Academy in January, I embraced that view, as fatalistic as it may sound. But it's not just that, it can't be only a destiny to fulfill. One does not simply walk into this ring like they're walking into the office, this can't be just an everyday job. Not for me, not for anyone.
After a brief pause, she resumed her speech.
Alice Wagner:
There's much easier ways to make a buck, most of which don't require putting your body on the line. Nobody would do this without an even tiny bit of passion for this sport, and don't trust anyone saying they're just here to collect a paycheck.
She seemed quite passionate as she spoke, definitely more than she seemed to be when she first entered the Academy.
Alice Wagner:
The Academy definitely rekindled that passion for me. There, I saw the good of this business and its ugly side, I saw great talent and wasted potential, I discovered what's worth fighting for and learned what I need to fight against. Walking past the Academy gates was the first step of a career I once had wrongfully and egoistically given up, and all the days I spent there made my path very clear. And for that, U'll always be gratedul to everyone working there, from the coaches to the Team Leaders and the principal.
An unexpected praise, but surely one that will be appreciated.
Alice Wagner:
Sorry for the digression, but I feel they don't get enough credit for their teachings and hard work. I've seen too many former students giving them crap once they "made it", as if the mere fact that they are where they are, and who they are today isn't in part thanks to all the people who took a chance on them, and the experiences they made during those months they now disavow.
It seemed like she was talking about someone specific, even though she never mentioned their name.
Alice Wagner:
Ironically, even the people who never stepped foot in the Academy feel entitled to talk shit about it. Yeah, I'm talking about you, Karen.
Finally she started talking about her opponent, who has always been very critical about the Academy and particularly with the Year Three students.
Alice Wagner:
I'm not sure what pisses me off more everytime you bring up the Academy in your tweets. Is that the ignorance you show every time you criticize people like Kayla, Helena or Lady who have achieved and done more in this business than you ever could? Is it your blindness for talent or the fact that every word you type on your phone is just mwant to rile people up and I actually fall for it? I know I shouldn't, but as someone who's used to always give credit where it's due, I simply can't stand this level of disrespect.
Shaking her head, Alice continued.
Alice Wagner:
I'll even give credit to you, you're not the talentless hack people paint you to be. It's a mistake a lot of people seem to make, discounting you as a no-good cheater. It's what you thrive on, you pretty much built your career on convincing everyone that you're not a threat, that you don't have any real skill and all you're good at is cheaating. You love to make people believe they have your number, lull them into a fake sense of comfort so that they will lower their guard allowing you to steal the win. I'm telling you, that won't wotk tonight. If you want this win, if you want to advance in the tournament, you'll have to beat me fair and square.
"Fair" and "Karen" are two words that rarely go together in a sentence, but for some reason Alice seemed to firmly believe in what she said. Could it be that her meticulous preparation for this match allowed her to scout Karen's tricks? It may sound crazy, but we're talking about the only person who, to this day, was able to find a flaw in Scott Martell's The Scoop...
Alice Wagner:
Tonight is not just about advancing in the tournament for me, Karen. It's more than just scoring a prestigious win against a multi-time champion. It's about making you eat those words you said about me and The Academy, it's about proving all the doubbters that the Academy is more than a showcase for second generation wrestlers, that none of us was there because of their last name. We're talented, we're hungry, and we're ready to change the landscape around here. You better be ready as well.
One last wink at the camera before the feed cuts to the next segment.

Battle For The Briefcase Tournament Match
Round One: One Fall
Karen Eldon VS Alice WagnerRound One: One Fall
WINNER: Alice Wagner BY: Submission (Severed Wings), 11:47 |
WE open on Billy Danielson pacing back and forth in the back of the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany. Tonight was the first night of the Battle for the Briefcase tournament, and you can tell the urgency in Danielson’s demeanor. He was either going to advance in the tournament or leave Millenium for good. As that realization sinks in, he stops and takes a deep breath.
Billy Danielson:
People like Faith Savell are exactly why I've put myself in the situation that I'm in.
Billy turns to the camera with a smirk.
Billy Danielson:
Faith Savell, just like every other Savell I've ever crossed paths with, is cocky and arrogant.
He puts his hands up, signifying that he’s not being judgemental, being a relatively cocky and arrogant person himself.
Billy Danielson:
Don’t get me wrong, it’s well deserved. Faith Savell is a phenomenal talent and has such a great mind for this business at such a young age. She really is The Master Class.
That smirk reappears on his face, as he starts to get into the meat of the promo here.
Billy Danielson:
However, being the Master Class doesn’t mean you can’t still learn a thing or two, and I’ve got a lesson I’m all but dying to teach you.
A short pauses as Danielson continues to smirk.
Billy Danielson:
I’m going to teach you humility, Faith.
He thinks about his MANY years as an equally insufferable heel, known globally for his arrogance and narcissism. His manipulative mindset won him multiple world titles, until one day his prick-ish ways just didn’t cut it anymore.
Billy Danielson:
I learned a little late in my career what a great tool humility is. Sure, when you're on top of the world and will do anything to stay there, you feel great. You feel like there is nothing left to learn and that you have perfected your craft. However, humility changes all of that.
Billy gets a bit of lump in his throat thinking about the struggles he’s been going through. He muscles through it, trying to only show confidence in himself.
Billy Danielson:
Humility makes you rethink your entire game plan. It teaches you lessons that you never knew. It makes you push yourself to levels you didn't know you could reach. Humility sparks change in yourself.
His voice gets very stern and stoic, as he’s clearly talking from experience. THe last few months have been weighing heavy on his mind after all.
Billy Danielson:
There's an old saying. 'Comfort creates complacency'. That's what happened to me. I was coasting off the name my career had created, rather than creating a name here in Millenium that is representative of my career. I allowed myself to get comfortable and then complacent, and that's why I'm in the rut I'm in. The humility created by eating loss after loss after draw after loss had finally sparked change, and now it's Do or Die.
Passion builds in his voice as he tries to put emphasis on those last words. “Do or Die”. He knew that this match could be his last in MWE, but he knew it wouldn’t be, and that feeds his excitement. You can see the fire in his eyes, but he doesn’t want to get too cocky, so he dials it back a bit.
Billy Danielson:
Faith, despite how unlikable you are, I’m a fan of yours. I see a lot of myself in you, and I want you to have twice as much success, but the only way for you to be able to get to that level is for me to humble your ass on my way to the Battle for the Briefcase. I have to put you down, so you never have to be where I am right now. These are the lessons I wish I was taught when I was an upstart like you.
Danielson’s smirk gets a bit mischievous here.
Billy Danielson:
And obviously, this isn’t all just charitable lessons from The Franchise. I have to prove that I deserve my spot in this company. I have to fight for my career tonight and every night until I win that briefcase and become a champion in Millenium for the first time in nearly 2 years of being here. I’ve learned what humility can do for a wrestler, and I need to prove that I know how to use it to get back to the standard I am known for.
Billy slams his fist into his other hand to help emphasize that he’s trying to get back to where he needs to be. He quickly puts his hands up in a shrug, smiling as he finishes with…
Billy Danielson:
But whether this match is for my own pride or your own humility, either way, it’s going to end the same… with me putting you down for the… 1… 2… 3!!!
Trios Match
The REAL Eldon Family (Clyde Eldon Jr. & Erika Eldon & Violet Eldon) VS The Division (RAZE & Wade Manson & Olly)
WINNER: The Division BY: Pinfall (Atom Bomb), 12:41 |
The commotion that was taking place behind the barricade was enough to draw the look of the camera. Behind the team of The Division the camera focused on someone sitting in the front row. Wearing a mask that looked like an exact match to the AJ Styles mask he wore in NJPW in Osaka.
The man stood up. Again dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt that this time, read FREE MAN in white block lettering on the chest.
The crowd cheered as the team of The Division stood and stared in his direction. His hands were covered in black leather gloves as he placed them on the top of the barricade before slowly pulling his body over the top. His one leg swung over the top before the other did as well.
It was at this point that Olly wasted no time. He knew who it was and wasn’t going to deal with mind games as he slid under the bottom rope and immediately charged with a hard right hook that was ducked. The masked man turned the wild swing around on Olly and hit a quick neck breaker on the outside of the ring.
At this time RAZE and Wade followed suit. The masked man placed his right hand on the bottom of his mask and lifted upwards. The crowd still cheering as they knew all along it was Duke Andrews. Before RAZE could attempt to get his hands on The Epitome of Perfection, a swarm of security came up and separated Duke from the trio of The Division.
“ENOUGH!”
The cheers from the crowd had turned to boos as Elsa came from the back. Her hand in the air as she marched down the ramp. Security had been holding Duke back against the barricade and The Division back on the other side of the ring.
Elsa McCarthy:
Get him out of my arena!
Her voice cut through the crowd as Duke looked like a maniac trying to fight out of the security detail. His hands were pulled behind his back as he was forcefully being dragged away.
Elsa McCarthy:
You’re not on the roster, Andrews! You don’t work for MWE and I will not tolerate anymore of this interference!

We find ourselves backstage where we see the typically bubbly Haylie LaFluer standing with a grin on her face, her arms crossed. The number one contender for the Riot Championship seems happy with the turn of events this far but you can tell there is a seriousness in her demeanor as she looks the camera.
Haylie LaFluer:
I feel very thankful for the opportunity I’ve received against Mr. Raynes, many can mistake his behavior for arrogance, but I have met my fair share or arrogant people and he certainly isn’t one.
She smiles as she says this, clearly an aura of respect for the man she is facing.
Haylie LaFluer:
I’ve honestly been quite lucky to end up in the position I have, if you would’ve told me I would have the opportunity to face one of the best, I would’ve laughed and scoffed at the notion, I’ve imagined my days as a champion were over, that I would just come here and entertain you all and train the next generation of wrestlers to the top, but much like any true competitor, you never really lose that taste, Amiright?
That smile stays plastered as she continues.
Haylie LaFluer:
It’s such an easy thing to discount my capabilities, it’s been a long road since I have taken on such a great challenge but luck has favored me thus far and sometimes it’s better to place your bets on the underdog. There is no other competitor out there like me, no one else who studies this craft like I do, who applies scientific means to every one of the moves to find a way around them. Mr. Raynes is incredible and while the odds may seem to be in his favor with his track record, I am incredible too! I held a championship once for three solid years defending it every I got, it changed who I was as a person, but now . . . I know this is my moment to show you who The Formulaic truly is. No matter the outcome, I know that I will make every single one of you proud. As for you Raynes, I won’t wish you luck, I’ll just say let’s favor the odds.
With an affirmative nod she waved off to the camera heading to get ready for her match.

Backstage the cameras quickly spot the flamboyantly dressed flashy marketing guru known as Leviticus. The wild-haired snake oil salesman in a purple and orange suit is smirking underneath that long scraggly beard.
Leviticus:
Ladies and gentlemen of Berlin, Germany and MWE fans all over the world…I am your host for this evening, The Most Loved Man On The Planet, The Emperor of Entrepreneurship, Captain Capitalism, Master Media Mogul, Saint Levi, Your Righteous Savior, The Titan of Twitter, The Sultan of Social Media, The Nova Wonder Killer, The Maharaja of Marketing, The Franciscan Friar of Flash…I…AM…LEVITICUS!
He takes a quick bow.
Leviticus:
But more importantly, I am the agent for the reigning…the defending…the undisputed, unrequited, unfamiliar, undeniable, unbelievable, un…
“GET ON WITH IT!” comes a voice from off screen. Levi chuckles softly.
Leviticus:
….apologies. I am the agent for the absolutely FABULOUS MWE World Tag Team Champions, Summer Collins and “The Archangel” Jessica Lasiewicz!
Immediately after this warm introduction, we spot Jessica and Summer waltzing into the scene from the right. They are dressed in matching royal blue, black, and white cheerleader uniforms. They have their MWE World Tag Team Championship title belts wrapped around their wastes. Confident grins are plastered across their faces.
Summer Collins:
Matt Stone and Veronica Sawyer…you two have been like a couple of bad pennies. You keep popping up all over the tag team division. You’ve even had opportunities to become the MWE World Tag Team Champions. But how did that turn out for you? Not too good. The story of PCP has been close but not close enough. Good but not good enough. And when you face Fabulous, one of the all time greatest tag teams in wrestling, you cannot afford to just be close. You have to be perfect. You cannot afford to be good, you have to be great. So far except for a fluke win over Bad and Boujee, you haven’t managed to prove to anyone, let alone me and Jess, that you have what it takes to actually get the job done this time. The way things are turning up, this will be yet another opportunity that you failed to cash in on. How many more opportunities do you think PCP will get at these tag team championships? Eventually management will lose faith in you, just like we already have.
Collins chuckles softly.
Summer Collins:
Then there’s Ti ‘N’ Trin…I love the name, girls. Great marketing campaign! It’ll sell t-shirts, hats, and all sorts of merchandise! And you know what? After everything you have been through, especially you, Trinity, I truly do think you two becoming tag team champions would be like a fairy tale ending. A perfect way to end on a high note. Unfortunately for you, merchandising alone isn’t enough to win you the tag team titles, and unfortunately for you this is not a fairy tale, this is reality, and your reality is standing right in front of you in the form of myself and Jessica Lasiewicz, the absolutely Fabulous MWE World Tag Team Champions. You can name any team in this company and we have beaten them. You won’t be any different.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
Szanse są ułożone przeciwko nam. To nie będzie miało znaczenia. Pokonaliśmy przeciwności losu już wcześniej i dziś wieczorem znów je pokonamy.
Collins rolls her eyes.
Summer Collins:
Speak English!
Jessica Lasiewicz:
The odds are stacked against us. We are facing two other teams in this match. Mathematically that is a two thirds chance of new champions being crowned. The math doesn’t add up in our favor. But do we care? No, we don’t care. We don’t care and we are not concerned because the odds have been stacked against us before. We have overcome adversity before and we will overcome adversity again tonight when we defeat PCP and Ti N Trin in order to retain the MWE World Tag Team Championship. Stone and Sawyer won’t get their prize. Tiana and Trinity won’t get their storybook ending. The MWE World Tag Team Championship is staying with us and that…
Summer and Jessica:
…IS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!
Jessica and Summer walk off. Leviticus remains behind and winks at the camera.
Leviticus:
Good luck, ladies and germs. You’ll need it!

The raucous crowd calms down as we head backstage to where we see quite the sight, Matt Stone walking down the hallway wearing a lederhosen. It’s probably a size and a half too big, though he’s wearing a confident smile just the same. He arrives at his destination and knocks on the door, awaiting the arrival of his tag team partner opening the door. He’s not kept waiting for too long as the door opens and Veronica Sawyer stands there with a confused expression on her face. She steps back, taking in the full view of Matt’s outfit of choice.
Veronica Sawyer:
What the hell are you wearing?
Matt just stares at her, seeing she’s not wearing the outfit he was expecting at all.
Matt Stone:
I texted you! We’re going out there in the Oktoberfest outfits! For once in my career I wanna be cheered, damn it. Get those pigtails on.
Veronica Sawyer:
I don’t think so, Clark Griswold.
Veronica shakes her head as she grabs hold of Matt by his suspenders in order to pull him inside of her dressing room, clearly not wanting to attract more attention from people in the hallway while he was dressed like that.
Veronica Sawyer:
I’m glad to see you’re taking tonight seriously.
Matt Stone:
Whoa
He’s pulled into the room as she shuts the door, the camera barely getting in.
Matt Stone:
Who the heck is Clark Griswold? Are you seeing someone on the side I don’t know?
Veronica Sawyer:
Hello? National Lampoon?
Veronica throws both of her hands up above her head like she can’t believe what she has to deal with, turning around to make her way back to the couch where she had left the finishing touches for her ring attire for the evening.
Veronica Sawyer:
What did you watch growing up? Seriously.
Matt Stone:
Uhh…Simpsons? Sitcoms? Hot blondes walking away from me?
He smirks on that last one knowing it would annoy her further. Veronica turns herself back around so that she’s facing in the direction of where Matt is standing.
Veronica Sawyer:
Can you keep your focus away from my ass and towards becoming tag team champions with me here tonight?
He does an exaggerated sigh before nodding.
Matt Stone:
I suppose so, though you should work on your motivational speeches if that’s all you have.
Veronica places both of her hands on her hips as she raises one eyebrow.
Veronica Sawyer:
Well as I happen to recall, between the both of us, I was the one victorious in our main event battles. I feel that puts me in a great position to be the leader in PCP and I want to remind you the reason I even came here in the first place was for us to become tag team champions. We want to send a message to the entire roster, elevate the tag team division, and it hasn’t gone the way we hoped so far. However tonight is the night it all changes. Berlin is going to be lucky for us, I can feel it.
He resists the urge to complain about her pointing out he lost his match and just listened to her.
Matt Stone:
Well I’ve been touting this whole time that we don't need luck because we have the skill advantage and it hasn’t gotten us very far, has it? So yeah, let’s go with your way, we’ll get lucky tonight together.
He catches himself there and pauses.
Matt Stone:
In the ring, not…well you know what I meant.
Veronica Sawyer:
I’m sure Karen will be writing some torrid fanfiction about that little slip of the tongue later tonight.
Veronica rolls her eyes as she takes a few steps closer towards where Matt is standing and she taps up against his chest with one index finger.
Veronica Sawyer:
Fabulous doesn’t see us as a threat, neither does the other team, TinTin or whatever they’re called. That makes us even more dangerous than they could ever dare to imagine.
He looks down at his chest, then back up to Veronica, his fearless leader of the night
Matt Stone:
Okay Ronnie, let’s get dangerous.
Veronica takes both of her hands and claps them together right in his face.
Veronica Sawyer:
I CAN’T HEAR YOU!
Without skipping a beat Matt repeats himself quite louder
Matt Stone:
LET’S GET DANGEROUS!!
Veronica Sawyer:
That’s the spirit!
Veronica smiles as she grabs Matt by the shoulders.
Veronica Sawyer:
Now go and change or I might have to kill you.
Matt Stone:
You sure you don’t want to wear one of those…
He doesn’t even need to finish the sentence seeing the expression on Veronica’s face.
Matt Stone:
Yeah, okay, I’ll be back in a bit.
He heads for the door as the camera focuses on Veronica who simply shakes her head once more before she goes back to putting together her own outfit.
