MWE Presents: On Thin Ice Pre-Show(night 1) Live from Ball Arena in Denver, CO Tuesday, January 31st, 2023
A big night for the MWE Academy’s Dakota Emerson was about to get even bigger as she made her way through the backstage area, staring down at her phone while her thumbs blazed over the keys. Distracted as always, she found herself walking straight into someone who was in deep conversation. The talk stopped as Dakota quietly took a step back and looked up at Sean Bennington, who glanced back at her with a raised eyebrow. Stepping around Sean, Addison McKinley shook her head.
Addison: That was preeeeeeeetty rude, ‘Cademy ‘Kota.
Dakota: I…didn’t mean to… Sorry, sir.
Addi and Sean both glanced at each other, then back at Dakota before laughing.
Addison: Relax! It’s a big night, I’m sure your tummy is full of butterflies! More so since you kinda suck at this whole wrestling thing, but your Khaleesi loves you all the same.
Sean elbowed Addison, rolling his eyes at her comments.
Sean Bennington: What she means is, you gotta get out of your own head and find your way forward or you’re going to be like she was. She sucked too, now she’s the self-proclaimed Cap-... I’m not saying that stupid shit.
Addison scowled.
Sean Bennington: Look kid, being athletic isn’t enough. Putting in the work in the ring, in the tape room, in class, it isn’t enough. All the god given talent doesn’t mean a damn thing if you’re worried about who your dad is screwing, or what this person or that person thinks about you.
Addison: Not that you have a TON of “god given” talent…
Dakota’s face was fairly vacant, but turning slightly red.
Addison: But hey, if you work hard enough, maybe you can be Cadet Gold Star one day. I didn’t start out as a Captain either, y’know…
Sean Bennington: Addison, you have a big match to worry about, might be more important than screwing with the new kid.
Addi’s eyes shot up to Sean’s.
Addison: I’m glad Miki is getting a redo, but RAZE?! Let me get this straight, okay, he decides to stick his nose where it doesn’t belong and gets rewarded for it, because why exactly? A JOKE, to be sure, and just another way to try and screw me because god forbid I have a voice and use it.
Dakota, standing there awkwardly, just nodded along.
Addison: I rid us of Faizah and my reward is this. No good deed goes unpunished, it’d seem.
Sean Bennington: Oh shut the fuck up and get moving. We have strategy to go over.
With a glare and a huff, Addison snatched up her title and bumped her way by Sean. She stopped next to Dakota and winked at her.
Addison: Show ‘em who you are or keep being a punching bag, that’s what it all comes down to.
She skipped off, leaving Sean and Dakota standing in the hallway. Sean too, took a few steps toward Dakota and put a hand on her shoulder.
Sean Bennington: You’re too hard on yourself, kid. Whatever you do, leave home at home. It’s work time, so go to work. You get to help set the tone of the show, so make it count.
She nodded and slowly put her phone away that she’d been gripping ever tighter, turning ever so slightly to watch Sean walk off after Addison. She took a deep breath, trying to regain her composure enough to find her way to the ring.
The Academy Preshow Match Team Title Triple Threat Tag Team Match Team Noir © (Jamie James & Sammy Grimes) VS Team Strike (Dakota & Marina Marston) VS Team Jones (The Rizz & Kyle Ashton)
- First PPV appearance for four out of six students involved in this match. The only two with previous experience were Sammy Grimes and The Rizz, who had competed in another tag match back at 5ive. The younger brother of Gavin was the one who started the match against Kyle Ashton. The first offense came from Kyle, and it was one of the most unorthodox we had ever seen. He apologized to the referee, saying that he had no idea how this happened but he unintentionally carried a foreign object to the ring. He was rolling a coin across his fingers with dexterity, but when the official asked him to hand it over, he said he would do something better. With the classic magic trick, he made the coin disappear and then pulled it from behind Sammy’s ear. The fans seemed to like the trick, Grimes not so much and he swung his right hand toward Ashton, but he ducked the blow and connected a belly to belly suplex.
- Grimes quickly got back to his feet and was looking to get back on him for embarrassing like he did, but Dakota tagged herself in. Grimes didn’t seem to care and still blasted Ashton with a running single leg dropkick before leaving the stage to the young member of Team Strike. ‘Kota didn’t hesitate and made the cover on Kyle, but the magician kicked out in two. She went for an Irish whip but Ashton reversed it, sending Dakota against the ropes. Kyle raised his leg for a big boot but missed it as the young woman slid under it and grabbed his supporting leg, tripping him. She jumped and landed with a double stomp to the back, tagging her partner in.
- The two members of Team Strike worked well together, double teaming Kyla to quickly wear him down. A diving crossbody by Marston gave her a count of two, but Rizz came in and made the save. Ashton managed to create himself an opening with a stunner and reach his partner in the corner. The Youtube Sensation showed some boxing skills, punching Marston at the sides before lifting her and dropping her on his knee with a rib breaker.
- A double tag brought the fresh Jamie James into the ring against Kyle. The two continued battling for control with an impressive sequence of moves until the Atlanta native applied a headlock and took him into the corner. Grimes took the tag and climbed to the top rope, asking his partner to lift Ashton with a suplex. Sammy jumped with a crossbody on Kyle, pinning him for another two.
- Grimes dominated the contest, obtaining several near falls on Kyle who desperately needed a tag. Sammy went for The Crowning, a tribute to his brother Gavin but Ashton countered the headlock driver and made the hot tag to Rizz who ran through Sammy and broke him in half with a massive spear.
- Sammy crawled toward Team Strike’s corner, getting tagged out by Dakota. The blonde girl really impressed tonight, hammering Rizz with some hard kicking combinations. The crowd seemed to enjoy what the students were showing tonight, really getting behind ‘Kota as she came very close to the win with a roundhouse kick. Both Sammy and Kyle rushed in to make the save, successfully interrupting the count but bumping their heads together, taking each other out. Dakota tagged Marina and in took care of Jamie, kicking him off the apron while Marston landed on Rizz with a diving elbow drop to the heart, scoring the decisive pinfall.
WINNER: Team Strike (NEW TEAM CHAMPIONS) BY: Pinfall (Diving Elbow Drop), 13:36

MWE Presents: On Thin Ice (night 1) Live from Ball Arena in Denver, CO Tuesday, January 31st, 2023
As the cameras cut to backstage, the view focused on a pair of dazzling, glittery high heels. They confidently strutted down one of the long hallways, the hint of a flowing vanilla gown hanging over them. Whoever it was, they were walking with style and confidence, the camera panning up to reveal more of the stunning, designer dress, the figure strutting as if they were upon a catwalk in Milan.
Stagehand: Yes, yes. Right this way. The executives are expecting you.
Came a soft voice, those dazzling heels meeting a pair of smart black dress shoes. There was no movement for a moment, before the camera panned upwards, revealing a sign that read “Elsa McCarthy”. As the camera moved along, it caught the back of the head of the mysterious, well dressed figure in the elegant gown. They had short platinum locks, and were holding a silver coloured briefcase, a small logo in the corner of it depicting a Guy Fawkes mask. As the figure turned their head, they revealed themselves to be a beauty with a wide growing smile, winking at them as they turned the handle of the door.
Darcey Grove: Why thank you, dear.
They uttered, before Darcey Grove, renowned Vogue cover star and Chief Executive of The Underground stepped through the door, closing it slowly behind them, leaving more questions and surprises than any answers.
Mr.X comes out to the stage area with his can in his left hand, and holding a microphone in his right hand as Electricity by Bloodstained Child starts playing through the arena, and Selena Lyre comes through the curtains standing face to face with Mr.X, then bowing to him as he hands her the microphone, she then turns towards the ring, and runs down the ramp sliding under the bottom ring ropes, running to the other side of the ring jumping on the top ropes doing a backflip landing on her feet flawlessly, then turning toward the hard cam with a smile on her face, instantly turning into a serious expression as she places the microphone to her lips.
Selena Lyre: Rainer I almost had you beat last time if it wasn’t for the ex girlfriend, and new girlfriend drama, but tonight there will be no distractions, because I am coming at you with everything I got, and the levels of electricity i bring tonight are going to be so high that it melts this thin ice you are standing on causing you to sink to your own downfall as I take that Junior Heavyweight Championship, and hold it above my head as the ring announcer says, AND NEW JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! SELENA LYRE!.
Selena pauses for a moment before speaking again.
Selena Lyre: Rainer, and Karen do you know why I am called Electric Girl? What does it means to be electric? It’s not because I fly around this ring like no one else, that is why I am called the Sky Goddess. It doesn’t mean my technical, and counter wrestling abilities are bar none, that’s why they call me The Oracle. So why Electric Girl? Maybe it’s my personality that comes to life when I am out here in front of these fans? That may be part of it, but it is so much more.
Selena clinches the microphone tight making a fist around the microphone.
Selena Lyre: I have always been met with adversity, and bullshit my entire life, when I was fourteen I was the best amateur wrestler in my middle school, and qualified to go to the state amateur wrestling championships, but my school being so sexist came up with a bullshit excuse of we can’t send you, because you will be going up against potentially bigger and stronger men who are naturally stronger than women, but I stood my ground, and what did my school do? They sent a male amateur from our highschool to try to scare me from going to states, to try and make an example of me, and not only did I beat the highschooler? I went on to state, and became out state Amateur Wrestling Champion for that year, because I refused to be held down, and discriminated against! I rose above, and that is electric! Fast forward to when I graduated high school, and I went to a wrestling school to train to become a professional wrestler, the instructor looked at me, and told me to give up, because this is a man’s world that all the fans only care about the men wrestlers that Women wrestlers bring no ratings or cash to the sport of professional wrestling, but if I want to go through with this I was gonna be charged double what he charges the normal, and so being stubborn, I got a dead end job just to be able to afford training, often times not being able to afford food being forced to live off of ramen noodles week to week, I wasn’t thriving, but just barely surviving, but I refused to be held down, and that is Electric! Even after Mr.X took me under his wing rescuing me from that toxic environment I was in. and giving me proper care? His training was hard, I would more often than not leave training sessions with him all bruised up, hurting, barely able to walk, but I endured where as many would have quit, because I am not a quitter! I refuse to give up on my dreams, and in this so called man’s world I am going to show them all that they are wrong that this is a woman's world, and we rule it with an iron fist, and I won’t stop until I am on top like some of the women who paved the way! Women such as Helena Noir, Mellissa Reeves, and Glory Braddock, and make no mistake about it, I am not doing this just for me.
Selena slides out of the ring, and walks over to the barricade to a little girl in the audience, and asks her name while holding the microphone to her lips.
Little Girl: Erika
Selena pats her on the head, and then slides back in the ring.
Selena Lyre: I am doing this for Erika, and all the other little girls watching to set an example for the future generation to show them that dreams do come true, and hard work, and never giving up pays off, and that is electric!.
Selena gets a big smile on her face.
Selena Lyre: So tonight Rainer I want you to bring your all to bear, because even if Karen does attempt to get involved? It will be in vain. Because I was overcome like I always have, because no one can hold this Electric Girl down! See you later tonight champ.
Selena drops the microphone exiting the ring heading to the back as the crowd chants her name.
Singles Match
Alan Envy VS Devon Slayton
- Both men walked into this match desperately needing a win to turn their recent form around and enter 2023 in the best possible way. The two had a very stiff lock-up and then went into a feeling-out process which saw Slayton getting the advantage. But Envy was an old fox, a veteran with a deep knowledge of dirty tricks and no qualms in using them. He stomped on Devon’s foot to get out of his side headlock and moved behind his back, sinking his nails on his shoulder blades and raking all the way down. While the referee warned him, he picked up the opponent and drove him into the canvas with a belly-to-back suplex.
- There was nothing pretty about this match, not much room for technical wrestling either. The two competitors were just beating the shit out of each other, throwing stiff punches back and forth in the middle of the ring. The exchange dragged out for almost a minute, at the end of which both competitors looked exhausted and dazed. It all came down to one final blow, Alan swung it but Slayton was able to duck the right hand and counter it with a backbreaker.
- The pace slowed down as Slayton wisely switched to some mat wrestling to catch his breath and recover from the wasteful first part of the match. The former MENTV champion kept Alan down with a front headlock, using the gator roll technique when the Lonestar attempted to break free.
- Alan couldn't break the submission but he managed to push himself up to his feet. He tried to get free with a couple of punches to the ribs but Devon kneed him in the face and killed whatever momentum he was building. . Slayton thenlifted Envy in a vertical suplex position and caught him with a cutter, completing the Cromwell Invocation. The move only gave him a count of two.
- Slayton stacked the opponent up on the top rope and attempted a superplex but Envy blocked the attempt and pushed the former MENTV champion down to the mat. As Devon got up to his feet, Alan jumped from the top rope and bashed his skull with a double axe handle. The Iconic stomped the bearded Minnesota native into the canvas, running the ropes and jumping with a knee drop to the head, but it still wasn’t enough to get the win.
- Devon fired back up and hit Alan with two suplexes followed by a neck breaker, but when he attempted his Death Note, he ran right into Envy’s pop-up death valley driver. Slayton tried to get up, but he ate a sliding lariat from the Texan that came extremely close to the three. Envy dragged Slayton up and hit him with a quick sequence of European uppercuts before dropping him on the top of his head with the Envious Demise DDT, relaunching his career with a precious win.
WINNER: Alan Envy BY: Pinfall (Envious Demise), 9:06

Previously Recorded “Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page is walking off of her private jet in Denver, Colorado. As she gets to the bottom of the jet stairs she walks over to the black 2023 Mercedes Maybach where her Chauffeur has the door open. Tiffany takes a seat in the backseat of the Maybach. As the door shuts behind Tiffany, she slides her sunglasses on.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Page: It seems that my troll hasn’t heard much less grasped the concept of karma. That is all fine and well Karen because when the karma I deliver to Rainer the world everything will crumble down around you. Hopefully everything will fall on top of you but I must digress.
The driver starts the Mercedes Maybach and begins to drive.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Page: While things may appear to be on shaky grounds as we head into On Thin Ice but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Luna and I may have just met a short time ago. We are already a tight knit group. But I know Matt and Veronica are coming into this event feeling confident because they might have had some success in SAP and Matt is probably over confident because he and I wrestled for the Intercontinental title last year which he won. But as we all know that I live rent free in his head since he couldn’t do anything else but talk about me for months after that match. I get it, Matt, you’re sprung and nobody can blame you. So when everything comes to pass Luna and I will have shown the world we are the ones who will continue our ascension while those who oppose me will be getting their comeuppance.
Backstage we find PCP, Matt Stone and Veronica Sawyer, chatting in their locker room once again, both dressed for their tag match later this evening. Rather than being coordinated with their attire as they often are, Matt is wearing a red and white motif while Veronica is practically shining in a lovely golden getup. They don’t appear to be in any better of a mood than the last time we saw them on television.
Veronica Sawyer: No, I specifically said gold, you know, like the colour of the championship I’ve had more recently.
Matt Stone: Oh that’s rich, need I remind you that I was the only person in company history to-
Veronica interrupts him with the tone of someone who’s heard this way too many times.
Veronica Sawyer: -held the Intercontinental and Lockdown titles at the same time, yes, I know. Everyone knows because you don’t stop talking about it, you’re like those people that do one thing in their lives and then coast off that accomplishment for the rest of their lives.
Matt seems taken aback by that comment, gasping in shock before replying.
Matt Stone: I have no idea what you’re talking about, name one person that does that.
Without missing a beat, Veronica gives him the best answer available.
Veronica Sawyer: You.
Matt rolls his eyes and changes the subject, not sensing this was going to go anywhere productive.
Matt Stone: Well if we’re going to get more gold anytime soon we need to figure out what is going on, we lost to Academy students last show. Academy students!
Veronica Sawyer: Well you lost, I was on the apron.
Matt Stone: Instead of breaking up the pin, yes, I know. I thought you had my back but you seemed more interested in getting in, getting your moves in and then peacing out like a goat wearing a camera that was spooked by a fire!
Veronica raises an eyebrow and folds her arms over her chest, looking puzzled for a moment.
Veronica Sawyer: That was a forced similie. Besides, I thought you had it, you always tell me you have this so I was just staying out of your way.
Matt Stone: I did have it! They just snuck up on me, that’s it! Yeah, I could have easily taken them on my own and I gotta say, that’s how it’s starting to feel out there.
Veronica Sawyer: God you’re so dramatic. We just have to get back to basics, I don’t think Tiffany and Luna have ever teamed, they don’t know each other from any other thots on the internet while you and I have known each other practically our whole lives.
Matt Stone: Well you didn’t know where I was going with that Modern Family reference.
Ronnie sighs.
Veronica Sawyer: Really? I’m trying to bring us together here and you’re making jokes? Keep doing that and you’ll be the joke here Matty.
Matt Stone: Hey, don’t call me that!
Veronica Sawyer: If you don’t want to be called Matty, then go out there and show the world that your name is worth remembering. Mister ‘I won two titles’ shouldn’t have a pinfall loss to a rookie on his resume but here we are, so rather than blame others, move on and show your critics who you are. Shut us up, Matt.
Matt Stone: Yeah! That’s what I need to do, no more of this, 2023 is going to be the year of PCP!
This gets a giggle out of Veronica and Matt seems annoyed.
Matt Stone: Why is that funny exactly?
Veronica Sawyer: Because you sound like all those losers that say “this year will be different” and then go back to their losing ways straight away. The year changing doesn’t suddenly wipe the slate clean you know, you’re no different this week than last, we need to worry about what goes on in the ring, not the irrelevant fact that a full rotation of the sun.
Matt just stands there for a second staring at Veronica in silence before retorting.
Matt Stone: Nerd.
Veronica Sawyer: Smarter than you. Just take a selfie and follow my lead out there.
Veronica pats him on the head and walks passed him out of the locker room, Matt angrily trying to fix his hair in the aftermath.
Matt Stone: Hey! That’s also my line!
He shouts as he rushes off to catch up to her and we head back to ringside.
Tag Team Match
Luna Smith & Tiffany Lynn-Page VS PCP
- The odd team of Tiffany Lynn-Page and Luna Smith went up against a team who’s struggling to get back on the same page. For the past month or so, Matt Stone and Veronica Sawyer have been haunted with a concerning lack of chemistry that made them fall back on the tag division rankings. Will they be able to finally overcome their misunderstanding tonight and get back on track? Will Tiffany and Luna manage to coexist? Could this be the dawn of a brand new tag team? Or maybe it will be the final nail in the coffin of PCP? A lot of questions to be answered in this upcoming contest, started by Ronni and Tiffany. Right away Luna attacked Sawyer from behind and together with her partner they knocked Matt Stone off the apron and double-team Veronica with kicks and knee strikes to wear her down.
- The referee eventually restored order, convincing Luna to go back on the apron and leaving Veronica and Tiffany to fight it out. The two women went back and forth, firing off kicks at each other while trying to dodge the opponent’s strikes. The referee realized right away that this was going to be a challenging match to officiate, given everyone’s tendency to cheat and break the rules. He spent most of his time reminding the two blonde that hair pulls weren’t allowed, but they blatantly ignored his words, using the cheap tactic to break out of the opponent’s holds or, in Tiffany’s case, to pull the Canadian into a backbreaker. This gave Page the first near fall of the match, but she clearly needed a lot more to keep Sawyer down.
- After a hot tag, PCP was able to take back control, knocking Lynn-Page to the outside and taking Luna down with a double dropkick, showing a rediscovered complicity and unity. Stone then got a two-count on Tiffany with his Stone Cutter after she came back in the ring, but Luna made it back in time to interrupt the pinning predicament. Matt tagged Veronica back in, a clear attempt to improve that chemistry they seemed to have lost when personal interests got in the team’s way.. Veronica kept the pressure on the opponent, but when she went for the Love At First Kick she crashed on the mat as Tiffany ducked the springboard head kick and ran to her corner, making the tag to Luna.
- Finally getting some action, the Star Of The Night took the spotlights for herself, using her Krav Maga background to take down Sawyer. Luna showed quite the mean streak, stomping onto Ronni’s head and even stepping onto her hair. Matt tried to interfere but Luna quickly pointed at him, calling the referee’s attention on his attempted interference so that she could keep bending rules behind his back while he was focused on the Abominable Showman. She pressed her boot down on her throat and invited Tiffany to step in and land onto her chest with the PAWG (cartwheel into backflip kneedrop). Before the referee turned back, Luna clapped her hands to simulate a tag, letting Tiffany make the cover on Sawyer for another count of two.
- The fact that Veronica survived the opponents’ abuse for so long was truly remarkable. More so the fact that she found enough energy to attempt another Love At First kick, this time hitting Luna straight on the mush and flooring her. This was her moment, her best chance to make the tag to the former IC champion Matt Stone and get a much deserved break. The Abominable Showman came in like a house on fire, leveling Luna with a clothesline. The Star Of The Night was quick to get back on her feet but she received a second lariat to put her back down. This time Matt didn’t stop and continued his run, raising his boot to take Tiffany off the apron. Luna was back on her feet and ready to strike with the Dark Side Of Luna but Matt dodged it. He then kicked Smith in the mid section and picked her up for his stalling piledriver called Piledriving Miss Daisy, which gave him a long count of two.
- For not being a regular tag team, Tiffany and Luna performed really well, showing natural chemistry and a similar mindset: getting the win by any means necessary. So while Tiffany distracted the referee, Luna hit Matt with a low blow, and hit the Starstorm, flooring the Canadian. The Star Of The Night hooked the leg for a cover, but Veronica made the save. Lynn-Page entered the ring and attacked Sawyer who held her ground against the former tag champion. While the two of them traded kicks, Luna climbed to the top rope, ready to connect her Stardom to pick up a shocking win for her team. But Matt was already up to his feet and reaching her on top for a super C-c-c-c Combo Breaker. The impact knocked Luna out, allowing Stone to cover her for the one, two three while his partner kept Tiffany from making the last minute save.
WINNER: PCP BY: Pinfall (C-c-c-c Combo Breaker), 10:09

The camera moves backstage where we get a close up of rookie sensation, 'The Prodigy', Paula Parker. The fans let her hear it, boo'ing her feverishly as the young rookie simply shakes her head with a sneer on her lips. As the camera fades out more, we see Rylee Robinson, freelance interviewer and rising star among wrestling fans, standing next to Paula with a microphone.
Rylee Robinson: What a night we've had so far for night one of On Thin Ice, but things are about to heat up in a few moments when The Prodigy, Paula Parker takes on Haylie Lafleur. First off Paula, how are you feeling?
Paula Parker: How am I feeling?
Parker stares at the interviewer blankly for a few moments before continuing.
Paula Parker: This is the moment I've been waiting for. I have a single blemish on my wrestling record, and it comes in a tag team match where Haylie Lafleur was pinned. Her shortcomings cost me a perfect record, so, to say I'm excited to show everyone just much better I am than her would be an understatement.
Rylee Robinson: I'm glad you brought that up. This issue betwen you and Haylie seems to be personal. Haylie is claiming to bring some magic tonight, but you have other plans. What, besides that loss, is motivating you?
Paula Parker: The difference between me and Haylie is she believes in magic, but I, like most people with a bit of common sense, know there is always a secret to a magic trick. I've watched pretty much every match Haylie Lafleur has ever wrestled in preparation for this, so I know every trick up her sleeve. As far as motivation? It's quite simple, but since you're so new to things around here Miss Robinson, I'll explain. From the moment I stepped foot in this company, I've had many doubters. People that say I'm too young to be a top level talent. People that say I'm only successful because I pay off officials, or because my brothers interfere. People act as if the PRODIGY is just a catchy name to throw on a t-shirt, but the reality is, The Prodigy is who I am. My motivation tonight is to continue my legendary run to be undefeated in singles competition. Haylie has tasted defeat before, so this is nothing new for her. But for me? The prospect of losing is unimaginable.
Rylee Robinson: You come from a family, that is obviously very tight knit. What part have they played in your rapid ascension here in Millenium?
Paula looks almost offended as she rolls her eyes.
Paula Parker: I inivited you here because I heard that the fans love you. They speak your praises, so I thought I would bring you in to ask the tough questions, but you decide to attribute my success to my brothers? I love them, and I'm happy they are here to support me, but if you ask any of them, they will tell you that all of my success is because of me. Sure, my father paid for my training, and that's why I'm ready for this moment at this young age, but when the bell rings, it is me and me alone who handles things. The reality is, I'm simply better than most, which is why Jessica Carter hasn't beat me. What makes Haylie different? Jessica is a former champion, Haylie has past success, but I've proven that the past has nothing on...THE FUTURE. And I'm the future of the company.
Rylee Robinson: Very bold statement, but I do have one final question. Win or lose, what's next for Paula Parker?
Paula Parker: Win or lose? Losing isn't an option. Maybe I'll wait until the next show to fill you , and everyone in on my future plans. Let's just say I have my eyes on some gold, but for now...enjoy seeing Haylie lose. Again.
Paula glares at Rylee before walking down the hallway, leaving Rylee to send the viewers back to ringside.
There’s a gentle snowfall outside as the Denver skyline comes into view, before the cameras pan to see an overly rambunctious Haylie LaFluer, dressed to the nines in her snow gear where all you can see is her face. A hood with fur surrounding it, a giant puffer jacket and ski pants to match. She seems to be walking rather briskly almost like a penguin before she falls over faceplanting in the snow.
There are several more moments where she is seen laughing, hurling a snowball at the camera, working to build a giant snowman, and systematically making a family of snow angels.
All the fun and games seem to end as the cameras angle change to the inside of a cabin, a fire is crackling in the fireplace, as the leggy blonde makes her way inside. Far off the figure of Rhys Adelson can be seen as the stoic tattooed soldier makes his way out to gather more wood, Haylie finds herself a comfortable position of the couch, her hair tied into two long braided pig tails as she crosses her legs in the old school criss-cross-applesauce style. She firmly grins.
Haylie LaFleur: Coming to Denver has been such the experience! I’ve truly enjoyed my time here. In truth the snowfall reminds me of home, so much so that I had to go outside and enjoy it while I could. That’s the thing about life, you have to take the time to enjoy all of the moments it provides you and not be so serious about the context that it brings.
Haylie offers an affirmative grin to that before she continues speaking.
Haylie LaFleur: Thus many might ask, what is the general message of the upcoming bought I have with Paula Parker, Miss Polly Pocket doesn’t like that she is called Miss Polly Pocket, but I think its cute so I don’t really care if she likes it or not.
A gentle laugh was offered with a shrug of the shoulders.
Haylie LaFleur: Just like I personally do not care that Paula has taken multiple attempts to mock me, degrade me, and pretend like it is my fault that her record isn’t spotlessly clean. I already took the blame for my part in that match, but She can’t seem to let things go. She can’t seem to grasp that some things just aren’t as important in building a legacy as she may think.
Haylie laughs again.
Haylie LaFleur: Because despite being an accomplished young professional, Paula hasn’t seen that attitude and character will far outweigh the amount of matches she’s won, and that should be taken from someone who knows quite well. The magic of being a prodigy, or an ever-lasting entity in this sport is by showing that you are unlike anyone else, and unfortunately Miss Paula has yet to do that, but at On Thin Ice, she will be given that chance when she and I go head-to-head. She will truly be able to show the world what she has been saying is truth and in all honesty, well Miss Polly Pocket I am rooting for you! I’m hoping that you will do the right thing and see the error in the way you have approached things and if not . . . well.
Haylie lifted her hands to her mouth before chuckling softly.
Haylie LaFleur: I guess I’ll have to pull a little Haylie Houdini act again. Just for good measure.
There is a moment taken where she pauses, just as Rhys enters back into the frame.
Haylie LaFleur: As for the rest of you my lovelies, I will see soon at The Arena, where I will be bringing lots of home made candies! Because by sticking with me, there will always be a treat!
A wink was given before Haylie closed off her feed.
Singles Match
Haylie LaFleur VS Paula Parker
- No half measures, the crowd was very polarized for this match, completely siding with the Formulaic Haylie LaFleur. The loud “You Can’t Wrestle” chants the Colorado crowd reserved for Parker really got under the skin of the self-proclaimed Prodigy, who tasked her brothers to silence the fans. Obviously that didn’t go as planned, the boos grew even louder as Jesse, Jackie and Justin tried to calm down the vocal crowd, even threatening to hit some of them sitting in the first rows. Seeing the opponent distracted, LaFleur tried to take full advantage of the situation and surprised Paula with an inside cradle, getting really close to end her streak with a quick, embarrassing defeat.
- Parker’s reaction after the close call was immediate and particularly vicious. The Prodigy showed off her impressive quickness with a series of kicks that forced Haylie to back down into the corner. Paula hit her with a knee strike to the face and then grabbed her by the hair, smashing her head in the corner. The Prodigy looked now in control and kept inflicting punishment to her opponent, trying to kick Haylie’s head off with a roundhouse kick to the head of the seated former HRW Lucky 7 champion, but Haylie ducked and caught Parker with a schoolboy. She didn’t go for a pin though, rather she rolled through and kicked the teenage sensation on the head.
- The crowd came alive when LaFleur finally started building some momentum and it was easy to see why. Her fast paced, acrobatic and innovative style was exactly the kind of thing the fans loved, as their cheers after every move she connected testified. The greatest pop probably came from the Avalanche X-Factor, which also gave the Formulaic the closest near fall.
- The mocking chant kept going, but Paula was no longer affected by it, not as much as it did earlier in the match. The Prodigy finally found a way to isolate herself from that noise and express her true potential, proving the fans wrong. She dropped Haylie down with an inverted ddt and immediately ascended to the top rope, from where she connected a diving leg drop, but LaFleur survived it.
- The fans watched in amazement as Haylie flew across the ring, taking once again control over the inexperienced opponent. They really thought she had it when she connected the moonsault sliced bread but, as we saw in the past, whenever Paula is in difficulty, there’s always one of her brothers ready to help. Tonight it was Jackie who grabbed his sister’s foot and placed it on the bottom rope. Jesse called the referee, drawing his attention to that detail so that he would stop the count. The official legit didn’t see Jackie’s interference as it happened on his blindspot as he was busy making the count, but Haylie surely noticed it, and she wasn’t happy about it. She argued with Jackie, turning her back to Paula who was sneaking behind her for a quick roll-up. But LaFleur wasn’t going to be taken off guard, blasting The Prodigy with an elbow to the face before grabbing the top rope and jumping on Jackie. She then turned toward Parker, shook her head and turned once again around, leaving the match.
WINNER: Paula Parker BY: Count Out, 8:22

The scene cuts backstage as Till Schlotterbeck is seen backstage getting ready for his match. He’s off in his own little world as he ties his boots. A stein of beer is next to him, along with his jacket.
Till Schlotterbeck: Guten Tag! Usually I’d be more of a talkative and cheerful mood, but with a Falls Count anywhere match just around the corner…..my mind is mostly off into another world. Lethal. Sadistic. Harmful. I must be in this kill or be killed mind frame because my opponent will play every trick in the book to get this win. He needs this win to continue to be the “Next Big Thing” in MWE, Nate Krelle. He’s not first to try to obtain this title and he won’t be the last. But he will be second on a very short list of men that I will humble here in MWE. First was that little shit Walker. Beat him black and blue. And now you’re next on my list, Nate. Interrupting my interview, attacking me from behind, and then hitting me in my……bratwurst.
Till shakes his head in disgust as he slaps the side of his boot and slowly stands up.
Till Schlotterbeck: Not very gentlemen of you. You’re just a child wanting attention. So if that’s the way you want to play….then so be it. You want attention….you have it. May God have mercury on your soul Little kinder, because I will give you none.
Grabbing the stein, Till gives a toast to the camera before downing the beer.
The scene highlights a decadent set of rolling hills before showcasing a large array of snowy mountain tops. As the camera pans the area we find two of Millennium’s brightest stars in the tag team division, the Former MWE Tag Team Champions Rhett Adelson and Qiyara Singh. They are both seen holding hands as they experience the natural beauty that Denver has to offer even this time of year.
Qiyara Singh: It is truly beautiful here, I have not seen so much snow and beauty since I visited Nepal many moons ago.
There was a bright smile on the young Mumbai Native’s face as she stared at Rhett lovingly. The entirety of her smile meeting her eyes.
Qiyara Singh: I feel this nature cleanse is just what I needed prior to our match at On Thin Ice with the Carter Girls. It’s been quite some time since I have felt the urge to really go out there and give it my all. To where I feel like this time I will not fail.
Wherever her head had been the past few weeks it was clearly evident that lately there was a change in her mental state, though it is not clear what exactly inspired the change in attitude, especially after losing in another tag team match with her friend Ahalya Patel against the Current reigning tag team champions. Rhett was quick to chime in.
Rhett Adelson: No matter what, I've believed in you this entire time. Despite the bumps in the road since we've been back, I knew you'd find your footing."
He nodded confidently. Rhett Adelson: And now that you have? It's over for this tag division. We worked so damn hard to become tag champs before we had to go take a break for personal reasons. And now? Now we're going to climb back up to the top. And we start that off by beating the Carter Girls. Don't get me wrong though, they're both great. But they can't beat us. They won't.
She maintained that smile as the two of them continued walking this trail they found themselves on. She seemed to almost cling to his side however as the trail narrowed.
Qiyara Singh: Of course they won’t. They’re relatively new to working as a team, despite Jessica’s numerous years of experience she has not had the most luck in winning lately, and Evelyn’s trajectory has been all over the place. We’ve worked together for over three years solid now, we’ve taken on some of the best teams that MWE has to offer and we’ve bested them so when you say that I know you’re speaking the truth. We will start our climb back to the top and I refuse to look at it in any other way. Sure there is a matter of respecting our opponents, but there is also a matter of proving that we have what every other team does not and that is an undeniable capability.
Her words were heartfelt and her spirits were clearly high. She felt ready for this contest and while she was making the analogy of climbing back to the top it seemed she and Rhett were doing just that in this very moment.
Rhett listens to everything she says, and it’s hard for him not to smile widely. He’s clearly over the moon that she’s feeling like herself. Rhett Adelson: Honestly? I’d love to see them both do well, especially Vi, since she’s dating my boy, JJ. But I don’t want to see them so well at our expense. So simply put? We have to put them down later.
Rhett shrugged. Rhett Adelson: And I know they feel the same about us. They’re good people. But sometimes good people have to knock out other good people. Which is just the way it is sometimes. This is just the start for Yara and I. This win will be the building block we build on to becoming MWE World Tag Team Champions again.
With an affirmative nod Yara gave a soft little laugh.
Qiyara Singh: Its true, we didn’t get to have the illustrious championship reign that we wanted in our first run, so we’re coming back for round two, and now that my head is clear, I’m ready to destroy anyone who gets put in our way until those Championships become ours again. So while yes we do wish you well Carter Ladies, the truth is, we’ve been biding our time until this very moment to ensure our return to championship status. So while we hope you’re ready, we truly know that you’re not. Team Adelson-Singh is finally giving the MWE universe the return they’ve been waiting to see.
As she paused it seemed they came to a clearing, overlooking a large view of Denver from below. She pulled Rhett along and the two of them sat atop a rock structure staring out into the vast landscape, before Qiyara turned and gave a soft wink to the camera.
Qiyara Singh: See you out there!
Tag Team Match
Rhett Adelson & Qiyara Singh VS The Carter Girls
- It has been a rough couple of months for Rhett & Qiyara since coming back, at least when it comes to their in ring performances. All that seemed to be in the past now, as the Indian finally appeared to have overcome whatever mental block was affecting her, thanks to her fellow-countrywoman and friend Ahalya Patel. For the first time in weeks she looked confident and in her element as she walked to the ring hand in hand with her significant other. Waiting for them in the ring were the Carter Girls, a relatively new tag team formed by the Academy graduate Evelyn Carter and the tag team specialist Jessica Carter, formerly known as Anderson. There was mutual respect between the teams, testified by a handshake between all fours before the bell rang.
- Evelyn and Qiyara started off the match. Vi threw some errant strikes that didn’t land as Singh kept dodging them, finding the opening to surprise the young opponent with a waist kick. The two continued battling for control with an impressive sequence of moves before eventually taking each other down with simultaneous big boots. The referee began to administer the ten count, but both women began to move at four, crawling toward the respective corners and making the tag to their partners.
- Rhett and Jessica entered the ring and it was the young man who immediately got the upper hand, thanks to his explosiveness and strength. He took the multi-time tag champion down with a slingblade and followed with a standing moonsault, obtaining the first near fall of the match. But it was the series of suplexes he began to string together that really turned the match in his favor, allowing him to limit Jessica’s offense and wear her down while keeping her isolated in his half of the ring. This gave him the chance to involve his girlfriend in the contest, the two of them working together as a unit, just like the good old days. There was no hesitation in Qiyara, no second guessing herself. Her kicks were just as accurate and lethal as they used to be during her prime days, proof that she was back to her usual self. Jessica barely managed to kick out from the Indian’s butterfly suplex, immediately trying to reach Evelyn but finding Qiyara standing in the way between her and the corner. Singh dragged the opponent up and whipped her in a neutral corner, where she kept wearing her down with Muay Thai knee strikes.
- The experience coming from the countless battles she had been through was the key for Jessica to turn the tables. Now dealing with Rhett, the expert competitor was able to counter one of Adelson’s moves and drop him down with a backstabber. Finally Carter could make the tag to her wife’s sister leaving the stage to the young wrestler. With her freshness and that touch of recklessness she might have gotten from JJ, Vi was able to create some problems for the former tag champions, planting Rhett on his skull with a breathtaking diving tornado DDT. Qiyara had to dive in to make the save, avoiding defeat for her team.
- The same way experience helped Jessica turning things around earlier, the lack of it was fatal for her young tag partner. Evelyn tried to finish things with a move Rhett was quite familiar with, the Nightfall Splash that became a trademark for a lot of people associated more or less directly with Chris Night and his gym. She hesitated a moment before jumping, which allowed Rhett to quickly hop on his feet and catch Carter in mid air with a cutter. After the spectacular counter, Adelson hooked Vi’s legs but there was still life in the former Academy Student. Rhett looked over in his corner where Qiyara was waiting. A quick nod between the two lovers and the Indian was back in the ring, ready to take this one home for her team.
- Qiyara stayed pretty much in control, learning all about Evelyn’s surprising toughness and ability to take a lot of punishment. The young wrestler in fact kicked out from both the tilt-a-whirl sideslam and the Qi To Your Heart, showing incredible resilience and strength of will. The same strength of will that pushed her to try take advantage of Qiyara’s only mistake, connecting a backbreaker/neckbreaker combination when Singh missed the running knee into the corner and even trying to pin her with a standing moonsault, getting really close to the win. Perhaps if she went for a tag rather than trying to pin the Indian, the match could’ve gone a different way, but we’ll never know that. When she finally tried to reach Jessica, she got caught by the arm from her opponent and whipped into the corner. This time Singh went for the Singhing Off Qi, and didn’t miss the target. Rhett did his part by preventing Jessica from saving Evelyn, contributing to his team’s return to the win.
WINNER: Qiyara Singh & Rhett Adelson BY: Pinfall (Singhing Off Qi), 11:02

The scene opens with the camera focused on a tiled floor. As the camera rises we realise that we are inside a Slaughterhouse freezer with huge pigs and pieces of meat hanging from the ceiling by chains. Theres an eerie fog floating just above the frost bitten floor. A light constantly flickers in the background. The sound of footprints and an object being dragged across the floor can be heard. Slowly a figure makes his way down towards the camera from behind a hanging pig. The figure turns out to be Nate Krelle. He’s smirking as he walks towards the camera man dragging a metal baseball bat behind him in one hand and a 6 pack of beer in the other hand. He places the beer down on the cold tiles before standing back up. He then drops the bat as the noise of metal on tile echo’s throughout the room
Nate Krelle: Cold isn’t it buddy! Haha!! You see you guys has NO idea why you were asked to come and film here. I bet you were thinking you were doing some vegan documentary or some sh*t! But no its me the F’kin Anti Trend live in the flesh … Unlike other things surrounding us haha!!
Nate grabs a beer and opens it. Taking one big gulp of alcohol he sarcastically ‘aahhhs’ and wipes his mouth and beard
Nate Krelle: See our little German friend likes a beer or 2 so I thought I’d have a toast, congratulating Mr Schh, Schhhhootter, Mr Till on being the second best recent acquisition obtained by the out of this world Star Wars sounding Millenium Wrestling Enterprise. You see I was on somewhat of a winning streak on Riot. Going as far as saying Riot was officially my show. I was making a name for myself here until this buck toothed dumb ass beer guzzling bitch ruined it. Some may say “Nate you attacked him first when he was addressing the fans in the back”. Others stating that “If the bell rang I wouldn’t have stood a chance against the grizzled German”. But heres the thing. Everything I do is calculated and executed. Hell even the ‘minor’ details of taking my size 11 boot, and somehow, having the aim of an absolute sniper, finding his, how do you say this in German?
Nate pulls out his phone and types small German sausage into google. The translators voice reads out Nürnberger Rostbratwurst, Nate practises to himself a couple of times before looking back at the camera
Nate Krelle: Ah yes his Nürnberger Rostbratwurst
Nate turns to a handing pig next to him
Nate Krelle: … thats so fun to say haha!
Nate sarcastically shrugs his shoulders and grins, looking back at the camera
Nate Krelle: I knew that you would be my toothest, … sorry, toughest opponent so far in my short MWE career. But I jumped you backstage because I needed to show the world that other side of me. I needed to show everybody in that locker room that I wasn’t just the best in ring performer but I was an actual threat no matter the situation I was in. You see Till I can happily stand here talking to you from a freezer because my body and mind is conditioned to adapt to any scenario I may be in. Im in peak condition. Im the best damn pro wrestler on this God Forsaken planet. But I’m also a nasty son of a bitch. I had death matches in Japan
Nate pulls up his t shirt and raises his arm showing a scar under his left armpit
Nate Krelle: I was power bombed from the top rope through 3 panes of glass, Barbed wire and stinging nettles. Glass wounded me so badly that I was losing blood at an alarming rate. I told the doctor who rushed down to ringside to bandage me up good so I could finish the match. I took this bat and swung as hard as I could. The pain was unbearable. Yoku, the sadistic basta*d who I was facing ducked that shot that I swung for his head and planted me down onto the shattered glass and barbed wire with an uranage and pinned me for the 3 count.
Nate picks up the bat from the floor and swings, ferociously making contact with the hanging pig. He hits it again, and again, and again before throwing the bat down and moving the hair out of his face
Nate Krelle: Till, you’re going to have to butcher the HELL OUT OF ME.. to keep me down. You’re going to have to make that smile that you splash across your face, week in week out, the most SADISTIC smile known to mankind… Understand this when I slammed your face into the ramp on Riot, I heard the thud. The thud rang the bells in my ears and it was at that moment I knew I had your number. Ive sacrificed EVERYTHING to make it here and I’ll be damned if Im going to let you take it away from me. I have taken my mind, body and soul to places that you didn’t even knew existed! When it got announced that our match at On Thin Ice would be a falls count anywhere match, I smiled to myself .. I smiled to myself because I knew that that calculated decision to jump you back stage paid off. Nobody saw it coming from me. Everybody expected a wrestling match. The dirt sheets and news reporters, Im looking at you Denzel Porter! They were getting ready to scribble the usual crap about The Anti Trend being an amazing in ring talent. So I had to give them something else to REALLY write about. I purposely attacked you during your yawn worthy promo because I knew you’d fight back right away. I knew that we would brawl and brawl because thats what you like to do. I knew when the time was right that I would boot you in the nuts and slam your face to the floor with the F’in Krelle … I knew that this… this was the FIGHT that I wanted.
Nate Bends down and reaches for another beer. He opens it and downs it in one, sarcastically ahhhhh-ing again
Nate Krelle: I promise you one thing Till Schlotterbeck that you will get the best wrestling version of Nate Krelle .. And the most devastating side of the Anti-Trend. I have been planning this moment since the day that I stepped foot here in MWE. I can crack jokes all day long, and outwork anybody else in the locker room but what nobody realised is that I’m one of the most dangerous humans that you have ever faced. You can post up photos of yourself holding onto other people in wrestling holds smiling. You can tweet about what you’re going to do at On Thin Ice until the cows come home
Nate points at a huge piece of cow hanging at the back of the room
Nate Krelle: But me… I talk shit all day long and make sure I back up every single fuckin word! The people aren’t going to give a single German damn what happens for the rest of Night One after our match or Night Two of this Pay Per View for that matter. You’re the statement that I need to make to take my next step in this promotion. Its nothing personal. It’s just part of my plan to get to the very top. You’ll always be remembered as Nate Krelle’s first pay per view opponent. But you’ll also be remembered for the bloody mess that I leave you in on December 27th. You’ll be bringing in the new year sipping beer through a straw you Hässlicher Bastard
Nate kicks over the remaining cans from his 6 pack of beer and picks up his baseball bat. He spits as the camera and he walks past the production team. The screen fades to black
Falls Count Anywhere Match
Till Schlotterbeck VS Nate Krelle
- It didn’t take these two long to make an impact in MWE, it took them even less to make this match one of the most anticipated on night 1. Their first match on Riot left the fans disappointed, not because it lacked intensity or entertainment factor, but because they didn’t see a winner in the end. That shouldn’t be an issue tonight, as count-outs can’t happen in a Falls Count Anywhere match. The majority of the fans were firmly behind Till Schlotterbeck, although some of them taunted him with a “You’re Gonna Get Your Bratwurst Kicked In” chant. As the bell sounded, the two men began trading punches in the middle of the ring. Krelle got the upper hand and forced Till back to the ropes, sending him tumbling to the outside with a clothesline.
- They brawl continued outside the ring as Till quickly got back to his feet and punched Nate on the jaw as soon as his feet touched the floor. The German reached behind his head and pushed it down on the apron. The Anti-Trend stumbled back, bringing his hands to the face to check if the nose was bleeding. That allowed him to partially absorb the impact of Till’s running big boot and kick out in two from the subsequent pinning predicament on the steel ramp.
- As the two fought up the ramp, they both got the chance to test the resilience of the barricades separating the crowd from the ringside area. Till got tossed into them by an Irish whip from Krelle who, a minute later, suffered a similar fate when the German powerbombed him into them. Sore, but determined to continue destroying each other, the two locked horns once again. Ironically, the non-european of them got the upper hand with a series of European uppercuts, bringing the fight to the entrance stage. Schlotterbeck tried to turn the tide with a couple of headbutts and spun the opponent around while he stood on the edge of the stage. He glanced back at the table set up in the space between the stage and the barricade and decided to launch the opponent through it with a German suplex. Krelle fought back and blocked the attempt with a mule kick between the legs of the opponent. His fans loved the kick to the Bratwurst, but their expression suddenly changed when they realized what the Anti-Trend was about to do next. He put himself and his opponent through the table with an absolutely reckless shiranui, triggering the first “Holy Shit!” chant of the night.
- The referee couldn’t only watch the two men laying motionless through the debris, unsure if he should call the match and have the paramedics intervene after such a terrible bump. Then he noticed Krelle starting to move, trying to roll on his stomach and beginning to crawl toward Schlotterbeck. The Anti-Trend reached out with his hand and made the cover, but Till incredibly kicked out.
- The match continued backstage, the two warriors, although battered and bruised, kept going in the hallways. Nate seemed to have the advantage after that crazy spot on the table, chasing Till as the German staggered in the corridors of the Ball Arena. A forearm shot to the back of the head knocked Schlooterbeck on his knees, finally halting his wobbly march toward the unknown destination. Krelle seized the opportunity and blasted him with a running knee strike to the back of the head, but it wasn’t enough to keep the man down.
- They reached the locker room area, almost bumping into Kimberly Williams who was just leaving her locker room, ready for her upcoming match. The near miss caused Blue, Kim’s velociraptor, to hiss at Nate but the Woman Scorned managed to calm it before he went all Jurassic Park on the Anti-Trend. The former two time Chicago Way champion seemed to enjoy (unsurprisingly I must say) the display of violence between the two men and followed them for a while, staying close to the action. Schlotterbeck kicked the opponent in the gut and wrapped his arms around him, launching him into one of the locker room doors with an overhead belly to belly suplex. A high pitched screech came from inside the room as the door collapsed under the weight of the Anti-Trend. Till went to pick him back up and apologized to Evelyn Carter. Still fresh out of the shower and wrapped in a pink bathrobe, the Academy graduate was hiding behind her team partner who, unlike her, was already fully dressed up. The distraction cost Till big time as Nate punched him in the lower abdomen and tried to piledrive him on the unhinged door. The German fought desperately, but he seemed too worn out to resist much longer. An unexpected help came from Jessica Anderson who, in a rightful attempt to restore her sister-in-law's privacy, pushed the undesired guests out of her locker room.
- Bratwursts appeared to be a main theme in this match. But this time there were no kicks or punches to the lower region, I’m talking about real bratwursts Till grabbed from a plate and shoved down the opponent’s throat while Nate was trying to choke him against the Hot Dog concession stand. Choking on the sausages, The Anti-Trend stumbled back toward the center of the room where he got leveled by a wicked clothesline from the German who quickly tried to make the cover but only got a count of two.
- Till was bleeding pretty badly after Nate busted his head open with a Anti-Trend baseball bat shot (on sale now on MWE store dot com) he got from the merchandise stand. A blow like that to the head would have knocked most people out, but not Schlotterbeck, who evidently still had some fight left in him. At first he tried to hit the opponent with his own merchandise, throwing the custom “Das Grappler” beer stein toward Krelle but, unlike Begbie in Trainspotting, he missed the target. The flying stein hit the camera instead, knocking the poor man behind it down. Nate instinctively turned around, sighing in relief at escaping that same fate. But he learned that turning your back on Till is not a mistake you want to make. The German blasted the opponent with an elbow strike to the lower back and slid between his legs, carrying him on his shoulders in the electric chair’s position, setting him up for his PROST! Nate tried to fight back with some punches to the forehead but he couldn’t stop the German from hitting his Croyt’s Wrath and sending him through the Arena’s glass wall. Shards flew everywhere, the cold december breeze blew inside the Ball Arena as Till dropped on top of the bloodied opponent, hooking his leg to obtain this hard fought victory.
WINNER: Till Schlotterbeck BY: Pinfall (PROST!), 12:16

Something about tonight feels good.
Came the voice of the one and only Ahalya Patel. The Queen of India herself stands in a luxurious gold feathered and beaded number in front of a regular backdrop screen with the MWE logo plastered on it. She seemed to be in high spirits as she looks ahead two hands placed on her hips.
Ahalya Patel: I know, I know. When do I not feel like tonight is my night and why the hell should I not? I’ve only lost a handful of matches in my career and lately I’ve just been in such a charitable mood in helping others that karma has seen the good fortune of delivering me exactly what I need, and that’s golllllllld.
She circled in her outfit, even showing the glittering golden boots that match the ensemble before finishing off with a hair flip, that had her laughing momentarily.
Ahalya Patel: The truth is I know that the Chicago Way Championship is meant to be something gritty. To even get into this match there had to be blood, big fucking deal right? Take out ten others make them bleed, yeah yeah the scenario spoke for itself, but somehow in the culmination of it all Kim and I both ended up taking the victory. Talk about a strange turn of events and it didn’t stop there. The next week I took on Valkyrie, with Kim being the special referee, and well you all remember how that turned out. I don’t really count it as my most appealing victory, but hey a wins a win Dollies.
There was a shrug given as she reminded everyone just what led them to this match tonight.
Ahalya Patel: Yet here we are, tonight in Denver, to show you all who once and for all will be taking home the Chicago Way Championship. Add in some Tables, Ladders, and Chairs and we’ve got some pretty gnarly shit that’s going to take place my guys. Some would be nervous going into this type of environment, they would be dreading it really, when you see the intimidating size and stature of Valkyrie and the let’s call it ‘innovative’ hardcore stylings of Kimberly Williams anyone would be smart to think there should be some precaution, but lets not forget something here. I am a lioness, I know how to use my entire body as a weapon and then you offer me a few extra toys to play with in the form of tables, ladders, and chairs, and well lets not act like anyone else is more dangerous than me in this contest. There is nothing I like more than showing the entire world the type of champion I am. Every title I have ever won has come home with me and stayed there, even when the company closes its doors I am still holding on to the intellectual property that was assigned to me because I take this shit very seriously.
She paused before letting a giant smile come on her face.
Ahalya Patel: As for showing you my abilities when it comes to the Chicago Way, well you’re about to see it coming to you live. I know we are all on thin ice, and babes I’ve got the ice pick. Bring it!
With that she gives a fancy tornado kick that narrowly misses the camera lens before she heads out of the scene still laughing.
We open backstage in the Ball Center in Denver, Colorado, home of MWE this evening and the On Thin Ice event. The cameras catch up to an unusual sight; a ladder. Well, that’s not the unusual part. The unusual part is that on one of the rungs of the ladder sits a plush toy penguin. The crowd roars in the background as they are immediately familiar with this penguin. This is the famous Wasley, that belongs to Kimberly Williams.
“Wasley”: Hi there, kiddies! Wasley here! Tonight on another happy episode of Mr. Wasley’s Neighborhood you lucky kiddos get to learn all about how to maim and bludgeon one another with everyday household items such as this ladder!
The camera pans over slightly to the right where we see a table and a chair to the penguin’s left.
“Wasley”: OR this table…or the chair…I mean sure, you could use the table to set a fine meal for guests! You could use the chair to sit down and get comfortable! You could use the ladder to climb and change a lightbulb! But where’s the fun in that, right Kim?
The camera pans upward. Sitting at the top of the ladder is none other than the Queen of the Death Match herself Kimberly Williams. The Woman Scorned is dressed in her wrestling gear. She has her SCW Underground Championship wrapped around her waist, the HKW Bloodlust Championship in her right hand, and the ‘Datura Invented’ Unsanctioned Championship in her left hand.
Kimberly Williams: That’s right, Wasley! Tables, Ladders, and Chairs can be used for things much more fun than boring old dinner parties, entertaining the guests, or changing a light fixture. With that chair you can use it to bash someone in the head over and over again until their skull caves in. You could also get creative and put that sumbitch against the enemy’s throat and crush their larynx! And that table, if you were to power bomb someone through it, or slam someone through it, you could do serious damage to their back or ribs. Haven’t you ever wanted to crack someone’s ribcage before? Or break their back? I know I have!
The Woman Scorned snickers nastily.
Kimberly Williams: The most fun of the three would be this ladder I’m sitting on. It serves so many glorious purposes. I could put someone’s leg in between it and crush their ankle. I could leap off the top of this ladder and crash through someone’s prone helpless form. Or if someone were on top of this ladder I could just tip it over and send them crashing violently to the floor below. And I may very well do all of those things to Ahalya and little miss Viking herself Valkyrie here tonight. But there is one purpose this ladder serves above all else and that is to climb it to the very top and seize control of the Chicago Way Championship.
Williams pats herself on the chest.
Kimberly Williams: Violence! Death Matches! It’s MY WORLD! Call it a Ladder Match, call it Tables Ladders and Chairs, whatever fancy name you call it, the fact is that this division belongs to me! I am TIED for the record of longest reigning Chicago Way Champion in history and during my reign I defended the title in every kind of barbaric match imaginable. Tonight against the pair of you, this is just a happy happy day for yours truly! This is the night that the Death Match Belt Collector adds another championship to her collection.
She winks at the camera.
Chicago Way Championship Match Table, Ladders & Chairs Valkyrie © VS Kimberly Williams VS Ahalya Patel
- It was time for more violence after the brutal Falls Count Anywhere match between Till Schlotterbeck and Nate Krelle. The Chicago Way championship was hanging over the heads of the three women who, in a matter of seconds, will try to tear each other apart in this triple threat match. There was no love lost between them, the weeks leading up to this show helped build some tension between the three especially for Kim’s controversial stint as a referee. The champion was determined to walk out with the title still around her waist, but she wasn’t going to take the easy way. She fought fiercely from the get going, keeping both opponents at bay with right hand strikes.
- After being knocked on her ass by a discus lariat from Valkyrie, the Wildcard left the ring to pick up a chair. She slid back in and slammed it on Vee’s back, saving Ahalya from the beatdown only to floor her with a chair shot to the head that cracked the Indian woman’s skull open. With the two opponents down, Williams left the ring once again, this time to introduce a ladder. Valkyrie had already recovered and snatched the weapon from the Woman Scorned’s hands, hitting her with it. The Dane then set the ladder up under the belt and started to climb, only getting halfway there before Patel brought her back on the mat and pushed her head-first into the steps.
- The Indian Goddess relied on her kicks to attack the opponents, knocking Kim down with a spinning heel kick and focusing on Valkyrie with a flurry of side kicks and a jumping knee strike to wrap her sequence up. She noticed Kim crawling toward the steel chair and stepped onto the weapon, preventing Kim from taking control of it. She used the same foot to kick Williams in the face and stomp her onto it. Patel then started her ascension to the title but Valkyrie pushed the ladder down, condemning her to a ruinous fall on the canvas.
- We saw ladders, we saw chairs, only tables were still unaccounted for. Not for long though, as Valkyrie quickly brought one in and set it up near the corner. The Chicago Way champion then picked up Ahalya and lifted her in the air, ready to put her through it with a powerbomb. From out of nowhere Kim blasted the Great Dane Bitch with her Morrigan’s Wrath (superkick), interrupting the move. She delivered a couple of knee strikers to Patel’s face and laid her down on top of the table before making her way to the top rope and jump on the opponent with the Chaos Theory.
- With the three of them all laid to waste, it became a race to who was getting up to their feet first. Kim was the one who got out of that carnage in the best shape, although she still looked dazed by Patel’s curb stomp on the chair. Still, she attempted the climb, imitated by the champion who did the same on the opposite side of the chair. They met on top and began trading stiff strikes, looking to get that likely decisive edge to either retain or win for the third time the Chicago Way championship. Valkyrie had the slight advantage and won the high-altitude exchange, deciding to follow with a superplex that left the two of them motionless on the canvas.
- It wouldn’t be a Chicago Way title match without a tribute in blood being paid. The champion got a pretty nasty cut above her eye when she Ahalya kicked the ladder on her face with her En Femina 540 High Kick. Patel set up the chair but before she could begin to climb it she was hit from behind by Kimberly, preventing her from attempting to reach the title.
- Kimberly was writhing in pain after the champ slammed her on the ladder with a spinebuster a minute earlier while Patel and Valkyrie were fighting on the apron, close to a table set up on the outside. The Indian Goddess ruthlessly clawed at the cut on the opponent’s head, causing more blood to pour out of it. She had now a great opportunity to put her through the table but she counted out Kim too early. The Woman Scorned was back on her feet and charged at the opponents, knocking them both off the apron with a dropkick and sending them crashing through the table.
- Nobody was standing between Kim and the Chicago Way championship, all the Woman Scorned had to do was to climb the ladder and retrieve the belt. The pain on her lower back after getting slammed onto the steel steps was making her climbing slower, and the ladder itself wasn’t really stable after the impact. This gave Ahalya time to recover and climb the ladder as well, on the same side Kim was climbing. An odd choice, justified by what the Indian Goddess had in mind. She wrapped her scarf around Williams’ neck, using it to choke her out and make her lose consciousness. Kim’s limp body fell on the canvas, clearing the path toward Ahalya’s first title in MWE.
WINNER: Ahalya Patel (NEW CHICAGO WAY CHAMPION) BY: Title Retrieval, 14:03

We see Alex Andrews bouncing from foot to foot as she is loosening up before her match. She begins pacing back as forth before she sees the camera. She stops and faces the camera, leaning against the production crate next to her.
Alex Andrews: Did I hear things right? 2023 will be the last year of your career, Cnris? I swear I heard you utter those words. Anyways. It seemed the last time we were in the ring you weren't out for the win, you just wanted me to lose. And you know what? That's fair. I know you want that last big run at the top before you hang up the boots.
She flashes a small smile.
Alex Andrews: And you know what? I understand and respect that thought. I do. But what I take exception with us being put through a table because you feel intimidated. Because you feel threatened because you see my star is rising while yours is fading. You can see the end of your career and almost grasp it. It's coming a whole heck of a lot faster than one might think, that's for sure. It doesn't mean you get to try and ruin my career at the expense of your dream, though.
Alex shakes her head, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
Alex Andrews: I should be furious about that, but the more I step back, the more I get it. I AM a threat to you. You saw exactly how I went toe to toe with CCJ. How I managed to withstand and overcome and that made you nervous, that made you see exactly how big of a threat I am to that dream of yours. I want it too, you know. I want another World Championship under my lists of accolades as well. Especially the MWE one, it holds a special place in my heart and y'all seen what I've had to go through to get this far, I'm not even close to being done. This match as I see it is all about momentum. You and I, Chris know how much momentum plays into this game and that's what we are fighting for, whom gets the momentum towards claiming a MWE World Title shot and whom had to start from scratch. I get why you're doing the things you're doing, but when they are at my expense, that's when I take exception. You want to get nuts, Chris?
That smile creeps back up on her face.
Alex Andrews: Let's get nuts!
Alex smiles and nods at the camera before she grabs a towel and tossed it across her shoulder as she starts walking towards the gorilla position.
Chris Sanderson: It’s simple. So, so simple.
Before his match with Alex Andrews tonight, Chris Sanderson appears backstage in his wrestling gear and has a Slaughter to Prevail hoodie on.
Chris Sanderson: The reason why I went in on you, Alex, is that you’re a threat. We know why I’m here, Alex. It’s not to put on five star classics. Not here to kiss anyone’s ass so they cheer and love me. I don’t care if anyone likes me or cheers me anymore. Clock strikes midnight on December 31st, I’m finally out of this piece of shit business.
He sighs before continuing on.
Chris Sanderson: I’m sick of this sport. Sick of people like you, Alex. Sick of people I have to deal with on a daily basis. All of you are the same anymore. Kissing each other’s asses. Dumb ass hashtags. Pulling up with squads. Talking about everything but this great sport. No one seems to care anymore despite what they might say. And I’m done with it.
Another small pause.
Chris Sanderson: But you’re a threat to me winning the third, Alex. That’s why I lit you up a few weeks ago. You’re in my way of getting there. You want that title and I cannot allow it. I can’t let you get there before me. So, I have to hurt you. I have to hit you harder than you've ever been hit. So you can die nameless in this company. Don’t give a single shit about anything else you do, only thing that matters is here. And I want you to die nameless in Millennium.
Sanderson sucks on his teeth.
Chris Sanderson: Tonight, I don’t care if you beat me. It’s about hurting you to the point where you can’t continue in this company. You pin me, looks great for you. Despite what some people in our great sport think, beating me is a big deal. I’m fucking great despite what these rube motherfuckers might spout out on Twitter. Wouldn’t be back here if I didn’t move tickets and merchandise, right? Regardless, I’m going to hurt you tonight, Alex.
A sick smile comes on his face as he’s clearly losing his mind.
Chris Sanderson: I can’t wait to hear you scream in pain, Alex. Can’t wait for someone you care about to beg me to stop. I can’t wait to see you leave and get out of my way so I can get the third and go down as a fucking legend in this place. That’s all that matters.
And that’s it.
Singles Match 2/3 Falls Match Chris Sanderson VS Alex Andrews
- The past versus the future of MWE, the only two time World champion in the company’s history against someone who many consider “almost there”, one step away from the highest step in the company. Tonight could be the turning point for Alex, the one big win that would skyrocket her into stardom. As for Chris, it was just business, a chance to remove an obstacle on his way back to the top.
- Early on, the two competitors battled for control with each of them getting a little bit of shine as they traded holds. Both very well versed in technical wrestling, they went back and forth for a good minute, but none of them really got the upper hand. Eventually Chris powered Alex back against the corner, forcing the referee to call for a break. Sanderson seemed ready to concede it but then he blindsided Andrews with a chop, firing her in the opposite side of the ring with an irish whip and charging toward her driving both knees to her face.
- Sanderson jumped from the top rope with a double foot stomp but Andrews moved out of the way. The two time champion rolled through and quickly got back to his feet. He immediately turned around, eating an Elysium bicycle kick by Lady Limitless who instantly went for a cover, obtaining a count of two.
- Not that there was any doubt about it, but Alex proved tonight that she can hang with the top dogs in MWE. She kept pressure on Sanderson with hammering attacks, forcing the two time World champion on the back foot. Unfortunately for her, all that effort seemed in vain as Chris didn’t concede her that first fall, kicking out right in the nick of time from the Alex Crusher (ace cutter).
- If Andrews seemed to draw energy from the fans’ love and support, the opposite was true for Sanderson who fed on the hostile crowd’s reaction, looking to shut them up and prove them wrong by annihilating their favorite. He turned the tables with a volley of hard elbows to the side of the head that left Alex dazed. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a jumping knee strike right under the chin. Alex’ head snapped backward and the former Riot champion fell down like a ton of bricks. Sanderson hooked the leg but somehow she raised her shoulder in time. Chris yanked her up to her feet and lifted her over his shoulders. He even took a moment to taunt the fans before dropping Andrews into a Pele Kick, scoring the first fall with his trademark Hit By A Cyclone. (Sanderson 1 - Andrews 0)
- It was hard for the many Andrews’ fans in Detroit to stay positive watching the brutal beatdown their darling was taking. Forced in a corner, Alex wasn’t even protecting herself anymore, completely at the mercy of Chris Sanderson and his stiff strikes. The former World champion hoisted the opponent up on the top rope and climbed to the second one. He then lifted Alex and dropped her head first on the top turnbuckle with a brainbuster, delivering another big blow to her skull. Wasting no time, he made the cover for what appeared to be a clean sweep win, but the youngster showed great ring awareness and placed her boot on the bottom rope.
- The noise never dimmed down, the chants in support of Andrews grew, if possible, even louder now that she was on her last legs. They wanted to see a miracle, they wanted to see Lady Limitless coming back from this impossible situation and score another upset win. But Sanderson was in full control, setting up the former Riot champion for his Hit By A Hurricane. Alex managed to slip away and desperately jumped on his back, dragging him down on her Broken Wings. She couldn’t capitalize on that, but it certainly bought her some time to recover. She rolled on the apron, hoping to get a few extra seconds to regroup but Chris was back on the attack, yanking her hair and forcing her up to her feet. They battled back and forth, he tried to knock her out of the ring while she tried to resist, waiting for the opportunity to strike back. She slipped through the ropes, driving her shoulder into his midsection and doubling him over quickly entering the ring to hit him with a knee to the head. Chris was getting back up to his feet when Andrews hit him with the Brain Death, evening the score. (Andrews 1 - Sanderson 1)
- The Ball Arena was rocking, twenty-thousand fans on their feet chanting and cheering for Andrews, pushing her over the limit toward an historic win. Alex was exhausted but she kept pushing, not wanting to let her fans down. Chris was just as tired, the fatigue of this over 20 minutes battle starting to affect his performance as well. He missed with his Dead Set (Discus Big Boot), offering his opponent a golden opportunity to seal the deal with the Hella Rough. At the very last moment Sanderson managed to push her away, chest-first into the ropes. As she bounced back, the Wrestling’s Middle Child wrapped his arms around her neck in a sleeper hold, prelude to his Untitled Finale III. Andrews desperately fought back and somehow managed to get free, stunning the opponent with an elbow strike and moving behind his back, finally connecting the Hella Rough (unprettier)! It was bedlam in Denver, the fans counted along with the referee as Alex made the cover. ONE! TWO! THR….! The enthusiasm quickly died down as Chris kicked out of it. Alex couldn’t believe it, the commentary team couldn’t believe it, the fans neither.. But it was true, Chris Sanderson was still in this match. Barely, to be honest. Visibly dizzy, not able to stand on his own two feet but, nonetheless, still alive. Alex was not discouraged, seeing the biggest win in MWE so close that she could almost grab it, only one move away. The Brain Death got her the first fall, and she thought it might as well work a second time. But Chris was able to avoid it and surprised her with a quick schoolboy pin. He knew this was likely his last chance, if Alex kicked out of this, he wouldn’t have had another opportunity to beat her. Desperate times call for desperate measures and the two time World champion leaned back with both feet on the middle rope, getting the extra-leverage to keep Alex down for the three count. (Sanderson 2 - Andrews 1)
WINNER: Chris Sanderson BY: Pinfall 2-1 (Schoolboy Pin), 26:03

Somewhere off in the Ball Arena, Gabriel Landry is alone by himself in complete solitude. Instead of sitting on a comfortable chair, the young man is sitting on the floor in a yoga style position. His eyes are closed. Appears he is trying to get his mind centered for the take at hand later in the evening. By the way he has been speaking this could be his last night in MWE should he fail to get the job done. Naturally he wants to be at his best.
What Gabriel doesn’t see is someone walking up to him with a baseball bat in their hand. Panning out we see that Erika is the one carrying the Louisville slugger. She taps the ground. This forces Gabriel to open his eyes. He looks up at Erika. A look of skepticism shows on his face.
Gabriel Landry: Um... hi? What are you doing with that? Rainer somehow convinced you to finish the job both of you started?
It is apparent how bad the last month or two has been for Erika by her face. The usually well kept hair, now looking much more frazzled. The hip and fun outfits, replaced by a more baggy fit.
Erika Eldon: Actually…It’s for my mom…I know you know your way around a bat. And I know I did some awful things to you in the past. I just want to say I am sorry, I was caught up in thinking Rainer was this amazing guy. And I guess I was naive. So I am sorry…
Erika looks down, appearing almost to tears, unable to really look Gabriel in the eye given what she did to him in the Academy.
Erika Eldon: I now see you were right all those times you tried to help me, and I wish I had tried harder to help you realize that my mom is awful. And I really, really, really want to see you win tonight. And I know that Rainer and Karen will have some big plan hatched, and you should have this handy…
Erika holds out the bat presenting it to Gabriel, not sure how he will take her apology. Gabriel takes a moment to process what Erika just told him. He pulls himself up. Initially he wipes the tears from her eyes. Cupping her chin, forcing her to look him in the eye.
Gabriel Landry: When your mom betrayed you I realized something. It only made sense for you to turn out this way. What choice did you truly have being raised by a monster like that? Did you truly have a chance at all? Not to disrespect your brother but... look how he turned out. Yes, you do shoulder some responsibility, by coming to me, hearing the sincerity in your voice, people might call me a fool. But I don’t care. Erika... I forgive you.
Gabriel smiles. He then grabs the baseball bat from her hand.
Gabriel Landry: I appreciate the gesture. Technically this would be legal for me to use. What separates me from your mother is I won’t do whatever it takes to win. Her and Rainer need to get it through their skull that taking short cuts, going out of your way to hurt people is not the way. To fight a monster I refuse to become one.
While she respects his decision it is clear Erika does have some fears. Knowing that he may not be willing to cheat his way. But her mother will surely.
Erika Eldon: Maybe just bring it, just in case?
Gabriel’s eyes linger on the baseball bat for longer than he wanted to. He takes a deep breath before setting the baseball bat to his side.
Gabriel Landry: I suppose. Doubt I’ll use it. Can never be too certain, right? This could be my only ally. I have faith that Jasper or Bree would aid me if your mom and Rainer tried anything. It would be unfair to expect Bree to show up. I wasn’t much help at the anniversary show. Feel guilty about involving Jasper...
Gabriel pauses, almost hesitant about what is about to leave his lips. With only his time in MWE to possibly lose, he blurts it out.
Gabriel Landry: If you want true redemption, Erika. Come out with me.
He hands the baseball bat back to Erika.
Gabriel Landry: I know I’m asking a lot, it is your mom and a guy you truly cared about. No one said life was easy. I’m gonna trust you with this. Will you do it? Will you have my back against those two?
Looking down nervously, as much as she would love revenge. Erika also hasn't wanted to be anywhere near her mother or Rainer since they got together.
Erika Eldon: I don't know…Gabriel. I just really don't want to have to deal with them ever again after what happened.
Surprisingly to Erika and everyone who’s watching, Gabriel kisses her on the cheek. Patting her on the shoulder he looks at her with compassion in his eyes.
Gabriel Landry: I understand.
He nods. He takes the baseball bat away from her.
Gabriel Landry: See you around, Erika.
He walks away leaving Erika to ponder what just happened as the scene fades.
Backstage here in the Ball Arena we find ourselves listening to a little pop music playing. Coming into the frame is the bottom of a white dress, as we watch the women's hips sway back and forth dancing. As we pan out the jovial segment is met with boos as we realize it is the Lockdown Champion, Karen Eldon doing the dancing. And she is dancing for the nearby seated Rainer Nordhagen who is getting ready for his match which is up first.
Karen Eldon: I’ve got the champagne ready, I’ve got the hotel suite booked, they gave us the one with the jacuzzi just like I asked. We are all set for our title defense party later tonight.
Karen continues to dance with the music, not the greatest dancer in the world barely on beat. As Rainer looks up at her, as she walks around the room.
Karen Eldon: You just have to beat a girl you already beat, and I just have to beat a man who's already talking all about how he wants to leave. It’ll be cake!
Rainer snaps the roll of tape away from his wrist, throwing it aside as he watches Karen saunter about the locker room, swaying her hips.
Rainer Nordhagen: Life sure is sweet, ain’t it?
He grins, adjusting his boots.
Rainer Nordhagen: Selena is a momentary distraction, not even close to being on my radar, really. Maybe when this is all over I’ll go and collect a few more championships. My other shoulder is lonely.
Rainer chuckles, turning to pat the golden faceplate of his Junior Heavyweight belt. Karen walks over to him smiling as she takes a seat on his right knee smiling.
Karen Eldon: You know you’d look really good as the MWE World Champion babe. I mean if Tiff can get a title shot, then literally anyone can.
Karen smiles and plants a kiss on his cheek, the two acting like the night’s results are already in the bag.
Rainer Nordhagen: I mean, ever since I graduated from The Academy my career has been on an incredibly upward trajectory. I guess that’s what comes with being the greatest Gold Star in the history of the company.
He flashes another grin, mimicking what it’d be like to carry a belt on each shoulder. Rainer quickly laughs, nodding.
Rainer Nordhagen: Yeah, it’d be pretty incredible. I’ll go and do that, you can grab another, then it’ll be you, me and a hotel suites across the world FILLED with gold!
Karen seems to love the idea of that, hopping to her feet.
Karen Eldon: Nobody is stopping us babe. You are up first, you got this babe.
An unwelcome sight as Karen slides her other leg over so she is straddling them forcing the crowd to watch a much unwelcome make out sesh between the two.
Karen Eldon: Help me with my dress babe, I need to get my gear on.
Hopping to her feet Karen allows Rainer to unzip her dress from the back. As MWE's most hated couple get ready for their title matches later tonight.
Junior Heavyweight Championship Match
Rainer Nordhagen © VS Selena Lyre
- Another one sided match, at least in terms of who the fans were supporting. There was no love for Rainer here in Colorado, all the fans were sided with the Electric Girl on her task to take the Junior Heavyweight championship away from Nordhagen. The match started with a quick exchange of reversals that saw neither of the competitors able to gain control of the match. Both impressed with their fluidity throughout the first part of the match, displaying equal technical ability resulting in another standoff. Rainer tried to lock up once again but Selena ducked and sprinted to the ropes. Rainer ran after her and, as soon as she bounced back, caught her with a kitchen sink.
- Having learned that Selena could hold her own when it comes to submission and holds, the defending champion played in another of his strong suits: direct strikes. He was relentless in his attacks, blasting Selena with quick kicking combinations. Mr X tried to guide his protegé through this difficult moment, but she couldn’t put into practise his advice. Every time she seemed to get a bit of an opening, in fact, Rainer resorted to one of his dirty tricks to retake control.
- Once Selena managed to escape from his grasp, she could finally show her “Sky Goddess” side, starting with a springboard back elbow that knocked Rainer down. The fans finally came alive, making their voices heard in support of the Electric Girl as she started to build her momentum, sending the opponent into the ropes and catching him with a leg lariat. She jumped back on her feet with a kip up and sprinted toward the ropes, jumping against them and flipping in mid-air to land on top of Nordhagen with a springboard moonsault, obtaining a count of two.
- A risk taker like Selena couldn’t help himself and went to the top rope, flying toward the Junior Heavyweight champion hoping to land a crossbody. Instead she jumped straight into a dropkick by Rainer, who then taunted her and the fans by tapping the side of his head with the index finger, bragging about how he outsmarted the challenger. He probably jinxed himself saying that as Selena quickly surprised him with a cradle for a very close call.
- The eyepoke/jumping reverse STO combination never misses a beat. Once again Rainer was able to turn the tide with it, stopping the Electric Girl’s momentum and scoring a near fall. He switched back once again to submissions, putting Selena into an excruciating sharpshooter. The ropes looked pretty far, but the Seattle native’s big heart and the constant support and motivation coming from the fans and Mister X pushed her beyond the limits, reaching the ropes and obtaining the break. On his hand, Nordhagen didn’t let go, not until he fully exploited the five count to inflict more pain.
- Working on Selena’s back to limit her ability to fly around proved to be a solid strategy to keep Rainer on top. The Junior Heavyweight champion, when he didn’t resort to cheap tricks and outside interference, was a hell of a competitor, a natural born athlete with a marked mean streak as testified by the stiff Torrential Rainer to the cornered opponent. Lyre was pretty beat up once he was done with that flurry of kicks, elbows, knees and punches in the corner, but she still managed to move out of the way when the Australian-German charged at full speed with his The Last Stand. Nordhagen cried out in pain as his knee hit the turnbuckle, falling on the floor and holding the injured leg.
- This offered Selena an interesting opportunity to get to work on that leg, applying a tight kneebar and trying to make the champion tap out. Rainer clawed at the canvas, trying to make his way to the ropes but when he got so close that his fingertips literally brushed against it, Selena rolled through, dragging him back to the center of the ring. Nordhagen’s expression was one of absolute agony, he raised his hand in the hair and you could tell for a moment he actually considered giving up, but he managed to hang on. Then came the hardest part for him, trying to actually break up the submission. It was difficult, it took every bit of energy and knowledge he had but he finally got out of it. Crippled, barely able to put down the foot, Rainer fell back onto the ropes, lamenting an injury.
- Karen Eldon showed up, formally to check on her boyfriend although, deep down, nobody was buying it. Gabriel Landry hopped the barricade and got in her way to prevent Karen from interfering and allow the legal prosecution of the match. His act of kindness cost him big time as Eldon smacked her purse on his head, flooring her ex-boyfriend and future opponent. The impact made the fans cringe, a deaf thud that instantly knocked him down and caused him to bleed from the side of the head. Even Selena shuddered, looking concerned at the motionless body of Landry laying on the ramp. A fatal distraction, on which Rainer fully capitalized using his good leg to double her over with a kick to the stomach setting her up for the Martyr’s Revenge (pedigree). Visibly in pain, he dragged himself on top of the Electric Girl, covering her and retaining his title. Karen joined him in his celebration inside the ring and helped him toward the ropes, where he was attended by MWE’s medic personnel.
WINNER: Rainer Nordhagen (STILL JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION) BY: Pinfall (Martyr's Revenge), 11:16

Lockdown Championship Match Karen's Rule: Purse On A Pole Karen Eldon © VS Gabriel Landry
- With both competitors already at ringside, the ones in the control room pushed back whatever segment was scheduled to after this match, assuming it would actually take place. Karen, in fact, was actually pushing to be declared the winner due to Gabriel’s inability to wrestle. But the young man wasn’t going to stand there and watch his opportunity pass by, insisting that he was willing to fight the match despite being in precarious physical conditions. The referee wasn’t taking the responsibility and asked the physician at ringside for his professional opinion. After a quick examination, the doctor informed that, while he would advise against it, he had no medical reason to stop Landry from fighting the match, if that was what he wanted.
- The fans roared at the news that the match was actually happening, their cheers for Landry becoming even more intense knowing that, no matter what, he had an uphill battle in front of himself. Karen, on the other hand, seemed livid. You can bet she would have taken the easy way out rather than doing the effort and beat her ex-boyfriend in the ring, but eventually had to make peace with the fact that the match was happening. After clearing Gabriel. the doctor at ringside was now taking care of Rainer, who legit looked in a lot of pain. He ordered that he would be stretched out to the exam room, where he could take care of him and evaluate the injury. If anything, this meant that he wouldn’t be able to interfere and help his girlfriend retaining.
- Finally the match started. Karen connected with a superkick right away and went for the pin, but the referee didn’t even get in position, reminding her that she needed to retrieve the purse and hit him with that first. And no, the pre-match assault didn’t count. She grumbled and headed to the pole where the purse was hanging and started to climb the corner to retrieve it. There was a loud pop from the fans when Landry hopped to his feet and ran toward Karen, reaching her on the turnbuckle and driving her down with a super german suplex.
- Gabe was on fire, which was even more impressive considering what he went through before the match even started. He brought all the recipes of everything that Karen did to him in the past few months and he was making her pay to the last penny, blasting her with stiff kicks until he forced her back against the ropes. He then sprinted to the opposite side of the ring, hitting the ropes at full speed and coming back with a clothesline that knocked Eldon over the top rope. The momentum carried Gabriel over the top rope as well, both him and Karen crashed on the floor below. Slowly they began to stir up, pretty much at the same time.
- The champion crawled toward the steel steps to help herself up while Landry used the apron, getting to a vertical position before the opponent, getting the edge that allowed him to strike first and plant her on the floor with an STO. Landry then moved on the apron and waited until Karen got up to hit her with an Asai Moonsault, wiping her out once again. The fans were on their feet, cheering for Gabe as he started to climb the pole to retrieve the purse. Karen recovered in time to prevent him from reaching it as she grabbed him by his trunks and yanked him down. Gabe landed flat on his back on the hardest part of the ring, a terrific impact that knocked the wind off his lungs. Karen tried to climb herself but, seeing Gabriel standing up already, she opted for sliding down and face him rather than risking a dangerous fall.
- Inside the ring, the former lovers kept settling their issues with a hard hitting contest. Not exactly something you see often from the high flier, but Gabriel showed he was well versed in that department as well. Unfortunately, Karen always had some tricks up her sleeve, and in a match where she couldn’t get disqualified, she had no problems going as low as kneeing Landry on the crotch. Gabriel fell on his knees and Eldon showed no hesitation and no remorse in hitting her Can I Speak To Your Manager?
- This gave her plenty of time to reach for her purse hanging on top of the pole. She had a wide smile on her face in reply to the fans’ loud jeers as she slowly walked toward her ex-boyfriend, ready to crash his dreams once and for all. Perhaps she took a moment too long, giving him the opportunity to react and kick the purse away. The former lovers began to race toward the purse, reaching it at the same time and beginning a fight to seize control of it. Both were pulling toward each other, ripping the purse open and scattering the content all around the ring.
- Karen quickly grabbed the pepper spray and used it to blind Landry. She then rushed to retrieve all the content and threw it back in the purse, ready to strike the final blow. Hold on a second, what the…? Tiffany Lynn-Page jumped over the barricade and entered the ring, hitting Karen with her Sex In The City codebreaker. Eldon lost her grip on the purse that ended up close to Gabriel. The young man was going blindly, trying to get to the ropes to stand up to his feet. His hand touched the handle of the purse, which he quickly grabbed and pulled close to his chest. Finally up, he looked through the tears veiling his irritated eyes, seeing what he could only assume was Karen’s figure coming close to him. He swung wildly, hitting the Lockdown champion with her own weapon of choice, instantly flooring him. He wasted no time and made the cover, scoring the win and obtaining his first MWE title. Sure, when he’ll watch the replay and see Tiffany’s interference he may not be as happy as he was in that moment, but for now it was time to celebrate.
WINNER: Gabriel Landry (NEW LOCKDOWN CHAMPION) BY: Pinfall (Purse shot), 15:03

The camera switched to backstage once again, this time finding one of the most promising recruits to the MWE Academy, Scott Martell, dancing around the backstage area. He was wearing an oversized pair of headphones, making a groove to a tune that couldn’t be picked up by the cameras, a television screen in the background playing out the footage rolling at ringside. It was in this moment that his phone rang, the ringtone being “Comfortably Numb” by Pink Floyd. Removing his headphones, he answered his phone, tutting as he did so.
Scott Martell: Floyd, you’re running my jam…
He shook his head, listening in to the other side of the line, as the cocky New Yorker leaned against the wall.
Scott Martell: You know me. Just taking in the sights, watching what level everyone hits, aiming to better it come tomorrow night.
The Self-Proclaimed Great One shrugged his shoulders, before ruffling the curls on his head, answering whatever question was given over the phone.
Scott Martell: Yeah, yeah… everyone in the Academy has been speaking about one particular match tomorrow… But I don’t care about that. I only have my mind on my own… Look, everything everyone else is doing is just fine. I’m just here to see what level I have to hit to upstage them. I wasn’t here for the last Super, and you know why. This time I’m gonna learn how to make this place Great again… Someone is gonna cause a scene tomorrow night.
Great Scott listened, growing a little more serious as the other person on the line spoke to him. He took a seat on a folding chair, nodding his head as he wiped his nose with the back of his head, nodding as he listened to their words.
Scott Martell: What comes next? Get my way, the right way, the Great way… I’ll get the opportunity to get everything I want out of this.
Growing ever more serious, he took a deep breath, nodding with each word he heard, before he cracked his trademark smile, standing up as he folded one arm around himself.
Scott Martell: Yeah… and when I get that? Keep the Big Guy on standby. Same shit happens, I might need to call in that favor.
He hung up on the person calling him, putting his headphones back on his head, that grin appearing on his face once more. Just who was the Great One speaking to?
Cloud Gate Championship Match Triple Threat Addi McKins © VS Miki VS RAZE
- Caught up in the crossfire of the raging war between the Division and the opposition led by Melissa Reeves, the Cloud Gate champion Addi McKins had her work cut out for her tonight, involved in a very insidious match against two dangerous opponents like Miki and RAZE. Nobody could really blame her for taking a step back and watching the two opponents collide in the middle of the ring, letting them sap their energy with an intense exchange. The Anomaly went all out, swinging wildly with those right hands aiming at the head of the younger opponent. But Miki had the big man scouted and, taking advantage of her quickness, she managed to dodge most of those blows and land some kicks to the legs of RAZE.
- For the first minute and half Addison was just a spectator, watching the action from her privileged spot. Then finally she decided to get involved, and she did it in a smart way, pushing Miki into RAZE and quickly pinning the New Jersey native with a quick schoolboy pin, but Miki wasn’t caught off guard. She then engaged in a battle against McKinley, the two young females traded kicks back and forth until the Englishman turned them both inside out with a double clothesline.
- The Anomaly ruled this phase of the match, using his size and strength to keep both opponents at bay. He successfully juggled two opponents, moving deftly through the dangers every triple threat hides and proving once again to be a force to be reckoned with. His attacks at first focused on the champion who quickly got dealt with and brutally tossed on the outside with a military press. That gave RAZE full liberty to lay down his punishment on Miki, driving his shoulder into her abdomen multiple times as he repeatedly slammed her into the corner. He then sat her up on the turnbuckle and brought her down with a big superplex, but it wasn’t enough to keep Mel’s protege down.
- Addison tried to get back into the mix with a springboard hurricanrana but RAZE blocked the attempt and powerbombed her into Miki. Both women were down and the former [R]evo champion tried at first to pin Addi and then he did the same on Miki, but both attempts saw the young women kicking out in two and half. RAZE dragged Miki up and whipped her into the ropes, waiting for her in the center of the ring to drop her on the top rope with a flapjack. She was holding her neck, coughing and trying to regain her breath. RAZE walked up to her with bad intentions but he made the mistake of turning his back on Addi. With a dropkick to the back, the Cloud Gate champion pushed him toward Miki who showed great ring awareness and presence of mind as she dropped down on the canvas to avoid the impact, pulling down the top rope so that RAZE tumbled out of the ring. Miki barely made it up to her feet when Captain Cloud Gate charged at her. Once again the Newark born displayed quick thinking as she bent forward and sent the champion flying over the top rope with a back body drop, launching her on RAZE. Miki didn’t think twice and kept her momentum going with a suicide dive that wiped out both opponents and brought the fans on their feet.
- After rolling Addison back in the ring, Miki climbed to the apron and grabbed the ropes, jumping on top of the opponent with a slingshot senton, right into a cover attempt. The referee counted to two before RAZE interrupted the pinning predicament by grabbing Miki’s foot and yanking her out of the ring, right into a massive German suplex on the floor. The Anomaly entered the ring and immediately was cut down to size by a basement dropkick from the champion who then blasted the 6’2’’ man right in the face with a superkick followed by a legdrop and a pinfall attempt, from which RAZE kicked out with authority.
- The Cloud Gate champion took the spotlight, proving once again that it’s no accident that she’s holding the most prestigious title on the green brand. Her explosive style worked greatly against RAZE, allowing her to chalk up a couple more near falls with a tornado DDT and her patented springboard knee strike. But The Anomaly wasn’t going down so easily, and this began to frustrate the young champion. After failing to knock him down with a series of kicks, Addi took a run to the ropes to get more force and momentum behind her knee strike, but she ran right into RAZE’s first degree (Black Hole Slam). The Brit hooked her leg for a cover but Miki came in and made the last minute save.
- It was now Miki’s time to shine. The young woman attacked RAZE with some nasty kicks, seemingly aiming at his left arm, stealing a page from Melissa’s book seeing how the former World champion and Miki’s mentor successfully applied this strategy to beat The Anomaly back at 5ive. She eventually locked him in an armbar but RAZE tapped into his reserves of energy to deadlift the opponent and powerbomb her into the canvas, escaping the excruciating submission. This incredible feat of strength almost gave him the win, but Miki once again proved to be fully aware of her surroundings and raised her foot on the bottom rope.
- It was all RAZE in the final moments, the powerhouse of The Division brutalized Miki, hitting her with stiff punches and setting her up for the Atomic Bomb. Addison, who had wisely stayed out of the ring to avoid RAZE’s fury, saw now the opportunity she had been waiting for and sneaked back in the ring, behind the man’s back. She let out a roar as she gathered all the strength she had left to push RAZE over the top rope and reap the benefits of his work, pinning Miki and scoring the win to retain the Cloud Gate championship

Megan Manning is backstage in her locker room, pacing back and forth. She’s whispering expletives and other things under her breath and it’s obvious that she’s pissed off. Finally she turns toward the camera and basically screams.
Megan Manning: ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!?
She scoffs and throws her hands up in the air.
Megan Manning: How dare anyone question MY worth! How dare anyone question what I’ve done for this company! I’ve been here since DAY ONE! Maybe I haven’t won the big one yet but I have done a lot here. Some of the biggest moments in MWE involve me. And let’s not forget that I was the FIRST Intercontinental Champion! Not just that, I had one of the longest championship reigns as IC Champ. Who can say that, huh? Not many.
She shook her head.
Megan Manning: BUT I CAN! ME! Can you, Anna Daniels!? Huh? I’m sure you can talk about what you and your other stupid of collective personalities have done elsewhere but here? You haven’t done shit compared to me, you stupid bitch!
Megan pointed at the camera and she was fuming at this point.
Megan Manning: I’m so sick of people like you, thinking that you can come in here and replace me. You can’t! I am irreplaceable! I am the building block! I am the TRUE Hall of Famer of MWE! ME! Not anyone else! It has always been me. I am the star of the show!
She steps closer to the camera, glaring into it now.
Megan Manning: If you think for a minute that I’m going to let you show me up, then you have another thing coming. Tonight? You won’t be able to escape me. I’m going to make you bleed as you’re trapped in that steel cage with me. I can’t wait to grate your flesh with that steel and make you pay for all of your transgressions toward me. There won’t be anything you can do about it. There won’t be your little dillhole or Dalek or whatever the fuck it’s called to distract me from tormenting you! YOU WILL PAY FOR EVERYTHING! YOU STUPID BITCH!
She pauses and takes a deep breath and exhales. Megan then flashes that pretty smile of hers as she waves at the camera. It’s almost as if her mood changed completely and she’s now gained her composure.
Megan Manning: See you all out there!
She blows the camera a kiss and walks away as the scene cuts away.
Steel Cage Match
Megan Manning VS Anna Daniels
- There was certainly no love lost between the two women, stemming from their first meeting in the Cage Scramble and only exacerbated by the following controversial match and Megan’s interference in the Riot main event between The Muse and Seth Iser. Both women spewed their venom on the days leading up to this match, and nobody was really surprised to see this going south before it actually started. As Daniels was making her way to the ring, Megan kicked the door of the steel cage into her face and started to beat her up on the floor. The former IC champion repeatedly slammed Anna into the cage before she finally decided it was time to bring her back into the ring and officially start the match.
- A very focused and aggressive Megan had her way with Daniels for most of the initial part of this match, hitting her with repeated headbutts and sending The Muse head first into the steel cage. The former IC champion then proceeded to grind the opponent’s face against the structure before taking a few steps back and measuring her up.and charge for a running Yakuza kick to the face. Anna moved out of the way at the last moment and Megan kicked the cage wall, injuring her leg on the recoil. Daniels noticed it and, holding onto the structure surrounding the ring, began to furiously stomp at the opponent’s need, with the clear intent to incapacitate her or at least limit her mobility inside the cage.
- Anna was determined to return in spades all the punishment Megan delivered in the opening moments of the match. Her focus was mostly on the right leg, which she trapped between the ropes and the cage. The Muse then started kicking it hard, eliciting a cry of pain from the Cornerstone every time her boot connected to her leg. When she finally managed to get unstuck from that precarious position and tried to get up to her feet, the leg gave up and she dropped to her knees. The Timelord hit her square in the face with a superkick.and hooked the leg for a cover, but Megan raised her shoulder in two and half.
- Despite the unstable leg, Manning managed to turn the tide once again and plant Anna on her head with a flowing DDT, and quickly tried to climb the cage wall. Quickly being used loosely, as the painstaking work Daniels did targeting her leg sensibly reduced her speed. The Muse had time to recover and climb right next to Megan, interrupting her ascent toward victory. Holding onto the cage with one hand, the two women used the other one to try knocking the opponent down. They traded punches, suspended five feet above the ring in a very precarious and dangerous spot where the slightest mistake or hesitation could open the way toward the win for the opponent. Anna suddenly grabbed Megan by the hair and slammed her face onto the cold steel, causing her to lose the grip and fall down below. Manning somehow managed to grab the opponent’s arm and drag her down with her, both of them crushing on the mat with a thud that knocked the wind out of them.
- Slowly, the two competitors got up and the match continued. For a couple of minutes, they actually wrestled, offering the fans a great display of technical ability. We saw Anna’s Treeish Doctors as well as a dragon suplex by Megan, both resulting in just a near fall. And right after that, it all fell down to unadulterated violence. Blood began to flow as Megan ripped the protective pad covering the turnbuckle and bashed Anna’s head against it several times, leaving The Muse bleeding on the mat while she ordered the referee to open the cage. She almost made it out of the structure, but Daniels dove in and grabbed her leg, causing Manning to trip right before she exited the cage. The Muse then stood back up and slammed the door on the opponent’s head, opening a cut on her scalp and tinting her blonde hair red.
- Both of them had lost a lot of blood, both of them did their worse to aggravate the opponent’s injury, using the ring and the cage as an instrument of torture. Stealing a page from her former mentor Seth Iser, Megan dragged Anna’s wound against the rope, across the whole length of that chosen side of the ring. Following that, she blasted the Timelord with her Mega Kick but it wasn’t enough to keep Daniels down. Actually, Anna fought back, stunning the opponent with a headbutt and lifting her over shoulder. She then charged toward the cage, ramming Megan’s head against the wall to reopen the wound before piledriving her into the canvas, for another close call.
- We thought it was all over when Anna connected with her Interrobang, but Megan somehow got her shoulder at the very last second. The Time Lord looked surprised, more so seeing how Megan still wasn’t moving at all. But the former IC champion was positioned right between Anna and the door, making climbing the cage the safest way to escape the structure and win the match. She had a decent advantage on the opponent, but her climbing was pretty slow, giving Megan time to recover and reach her on top. Sitting on the edge of the cage, the two competitors began to trade punches, obviously trying to knock the other back inside the cage. Manning almost got knocked down by Anna’s right hand, but she managed to hang on. The Muse swung another time and missed the target as the former IC champion was able to dodge the strike. They both stood up, keeping the audience watching with bated breath as they produced the final effort to push the opponent off the ledge. And once again Daniels won the exchange, hitting Manning with a kick to the head. With cat-like reflexes, the former Intercontinental champion was able to hang onto the edge of the cage, saving herself a nasty fall. Hanging for dear life, she reached for Anna’s ankle and pulled, dragging the multi-time champion down. Using the last bit of strength, Megan pulled herself up and finally left the cage, winning an incredible battle against a tough competitor.

Pre-recorded…
Earlier in the day a long black limousine was spotted arriving at the Ball Center in Denver, Colorado. The luxury vehicle comes to a slow stop. Then the back passenger side door opens. Glory Braddock exits first with her MWE World Championship Title belt in tow. Her best friend Sophie O’Brian follows suit. Both are dressed to the nines and looking like a million bucks. Both seem to ooze confidence as the driver begins to retrieve their bags.
Glory Braddock: I hope you are ready, my friend. Tonight is all about you.
Sophie O’Brian: You know I am ready.
The MWE World Champion nods her head.
Glory Braddock: I know you are because I saw the fire in your eye. After I beat Kenzie on Millennium and proved to the entire world that I am THE dominant champion of this company, you went on to send a message. You put her down and made it clear that you were coming after her championship.
Braddock places a hand on Sophie’s shoulder.
Glory Braddock: We have done this before, in other promotions. We have held championships together elsewhere and have been the dominant force running the show. We can make that happen again. It begins tonight with you becoming Intercontinental Champion.
Sophie O’Brian: I will do my part, mate. Then you can teach Rollins a lesson in respect.
MWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Kenzie Garrett © VS Sophie O'Brian
- Second title defense for Kenzie against a woman who, in the past, has gravitated around the IC title without ever being able to get her hands on it. The match started with Garrett talking to O’Brian, confidently wishing her good luck and offering her a handshake which Sophie took with no hesitation. It was a ruse by the champion who tried to surprise the veteran with a kick to the gut, but the Belfast native saw that coming and blocked her leg, taking her down on the mat with a dragon screw leg whip.
- None of them was holding back, putting on an incredible display of offensive counters and maneuvers marking the match with a quick and intense pace. Sophie sent Garrett to the floor with a back body drop close to the ropes. The Intercontinental champion landed hard on her back, writhing in pain for a few moments before she slowly pushed herself up to her feet. That was when Sophie sprinted toward the ropes on the opposite side of the ring and bounced back, coming at Kenzie at full speed with an attempted baseball slide but the Soulknife was able to move out of the way and kick her in the face. Kenzie then quickly rolled the opponent back in the ring and climbed up on the apron, waiting until Sophie was standing once again to take her out with a springboard meteora.
- The defending champion stayed on the attack, using her kicks to wear down the challenger. The champion kept building up her momentum with her unique mix of quick strikes and aerial offense that served her so well throughout her career. With a flipping neckbreaker, she planted the Northern Irish on her head, obtaining the first near fall of the match. In the following minute or so, O’Brian kicked out from several quick pinfall attempts, taking a break on the outside to break the rhythm. She paced around the ring while the referee counted out, perhaps trying to lure Garrett into taking an unnecessary risk but the champ didn’t take the bait, well aware that sooner or later Sophie was going to get back in. Finally the challenger climbed on the apron and stuck her head through the ropes, and that was when Kenzie charged in. But O’Brian quickly pulled out and dropped off the apron, grabbing the champion’s foot and tripping her, causing her to fall flat on her back. She then dragged Kenzie out of the ring and launched her into the barricade, where she proceeded to stomp her head.
- Once again the veteran fully exploited the count before bringing the match back in the ring. The pace slowed down a bit as Sophie went to work on the neck and back area of the opponent with several submission holds and occasionally adding extra pressure with her elbow or knee pressed against her spine. Kenzie struggled but eventually managed to get up to her feet and break free from Sophie’s grasp with a few elbow shots to the torso. Turning around, Kenzie got a burst of adrenaline and took O’Brian down with a discus lariat followed by a couple of punches to the jaw. She then began to stalk the challenger, waiting until she rose to her feet to jump on her back and connect with a backstabber. The IC champion tried to switch right into her Ryuuenbu (Modified Double Fujiwara Armbar) but Sophie slipped away before she could apply the submission.
- None of Kenzie’s attempts seemed to be enough to keep Sophie down, and this was frustrating the Soulknife. Garrett became more reckless, taking risks she held back from taking so far in an attempt to end things. Climbing the turnbuckle, she took a moment to look at Sophie laying on the mat, knowing that this was the turning point of the match. She jumped with the diving somersault cannonball she called Pinball Wizard but missed the target, crashing on the canvas.
- All of Sophie’s offense from that moment on focused on the neck area. Whether it was by twisting it in painful holds or affecting it with high impact moves such as neckbreakers and some variations of piledrivers, she surely put a lot of pressure on it, definitely laying the groundwork for something big. The Ode To Braddock (swinging fisherman’s neckbreaker) had everything to be the final nail in the coffin for Kenzie, the word “end” on her title reign but the Soulknife kicked out, for the joy of the fans. It didn’t last long as O’Brian followed with her Wisdom (Muta lock). Garrett tried to resist, clawing at the canvas in a desperate attempt to reach the ropes but eventually had to give up, tapping out to the new Intercontinental Champion.
WINNER: Sophie O’Brian (NEW MWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION) BY: Submission (Wisdom), 13:39

The camera took us outside Vincent Moretti's office. For once, it's an actual office located right next Elsa's and not a makeshift one in some unlikely location as the Silver Fox had accostumed us to. If we really wanted to thing something odd about it, it could be the fact that, most likely, his office was also the locker room where he prepared himself for his upcoming match, the No Holds Barred match against Pierce Manning.
The door was closed and even though we couldn't see who was inside, everyone easily recognized the voice of the person speaking to the General Manager. A voice the MWE fans had first heard two years ago when the person in question joined the Academy, a voice they hadn't heard since that eventful night at the end of August, when Trinity Thompson fought her last match for the company.
Trinity Thompson: I know you have a big match coming up, but I promise this won't take long.
Said the former Academy Student from behind the closed door.
Trinity Thompson: I just wanted to tell you that I made up my mind. I owe everything to this company, I entered the Academy with nothing but a bag full of hopes and I left nine months later with a wealth of knowledge I wouldn't have gotten anywhere else. I made friends, enemies, I found my sister... Then I got called up, MWE gave me the chance to travel the world and perform on a weekly basis in front of the most incredible fans I've ever seen and face some of the greatest names in the business. Every week has been a lesson, and I tried to make the best of every opportunity you gave me. Sure, there have been bad moments too but I was made in MWE and I can't imagine my future without it...
Vincent Moretti: I'm glad you...
The Riot General Manager was cut off by Trinity.
Trinity Thompson: ... I can't imagine it but I'm eager to see what it holds for me. MWE will forever hold a special place in my heart, my sister and my friends still, or will, work here so chances are you will still see me roaming around backstage. But I won't be back as a competitor, thank you for the contract offer but I decided to turn it down.
There was a moment of silence in which we could hear papers changing hands.
Vincent Moretti: Trinity, are you sure? We can re-discuss the contract after my match, going through the details...
Trinity Thompson: That won't be necessary, sir.
Her voice was trembling, clearing the decision wasn't easy on the young girl.
Trinity Thompson: I loved every moment I spent working for you and Elsa. And while it broke my heart to say goodbye to everything MWE means to me, I don't regret the choices I made. Giving everything up for my sister? It was worth it, and I would do it again and again. But if I think about WHY it happened, what lead us to that moment, what caused Tiana's injury and what happened to Alessio... I can see those events have something in common. Me.
Vincent Moretti: Don't do this, kid. Don't blame yourself for what happened. You know too damn well who's responsible for those things.
Trinity Thompson: I have a reminder every time I look in the mirror, right here on my right arm.
She was obviously talking about the Mark Of Nine, carved by the Cult leader into her skin.
Trinity Thompson: But you can't deny that everything she did was to push me over the edge. All this suffering, all the people she hurt.. It all falls on my back and I will never be able to get free of this burden when everything around me reminds me of it. Thats why I can't come back, that's why I NEED to move on.
There was a long moment of silence, interrupted by Moretti.
Vincent Moretti: I understand, kiddo. If you change your mind in the future, the door will always be open for you.
Trinity Thompson: Thank you, Vincent.
Speaking of doors, it finally opened. Trinity walked out first, followed by the Riot GM donning his wrestling gear.
Trinity Thompson: I got you something tho, a goodbye gift if you will.
Moretti raised an eyebrow at the former Academy student. She didn't have any present in her hands, nor she reached inside the pockets to pull out whatever this gift may be.
Trinity Thompson: Oh... No, I don't have it here with me...You'll have to wait until tomorrow. Let's just say I'm not the only person who will fight her last MWE match tomorrow night. If I have to go, I'll make sure I'll take the New Problem with me.
She said those ominous words with a glacial stare. Then she turned around and walked away, leaving Moretti slightly unsettled.
No Holds Barred Match
Pierce Manning VS Vincent Moretti
- A very personal match up that’s been brewing on and off for over a year as what many consider the crown jewel of Vincent’s initial days of Riot take on the general manager himself. Pierce vs Moretti and it’s stunning Vincent has even stepped back into the ring and looks close to his ring shape! Maybe lighter.
The main event between Pierce and Vincent starts with fisticups in the ring and the crowd going wild at all the molten fists being traded! Pierce being a little younger is able to throw them faster but Vincent coldcocks him with a left that gets the younger Manning on spaghetti legs before a clothesline also from the left side knocks down Pierce. Manning recalibrates but when he turns back around, Vincent has two boots to his skull with a baseball slide! The odd ways of attack are throwing Manning off early. Vincent also goes for the toys early throwing in chairs while arming himself with a cane. He takes a mighty swing but Manning ducks and the cane splinters on the ring post! Then it’s Pierce bull rushing the slightly smaller Moretti and sending him into barricade back first and Vincent tenses up. - The next couple moments on the outside involve Vincent being irish whipped over the table and then being body slammed on the floor by Manning. Pierce is talking that trash while the audience is telling him that he’s an asshole. This time he peels the mats back and it’s a belly to back suplex that impacts Pierce a little but Vincent far more as he’s in agony favoring the back that made him retire all those years ago. And boy does Pierce know it. The ref, while he’s thrown out the rules, does ask Vincent if he wants to continue and Vincent responds by punching Pierce in the stomach but not having full rotation on it. A knee cuts him off and now he’s looking to do a front suplex. When he starts to get him up though…Vincent rakes the eyes and Pierce drops Moretti not knowing where he is at exactly. Vincent instinctively goes to grab the chair that’s in the ring using his reach and after Pierce throws a blind punch he turns around and gets creamed with a steel chair shot by Vincent swinging for the fences! The audience is now cheering the general manager as he’s using the chair to help keep him upright after that force but when Pierce gets up, it’s the second pay per view in a row he’s donning the crimson mask. And Vincent responds with a second chairshot between the eyes and this one sounds so nasty that it begins a holy shit chant.
- We then see just how sadistic Vincent will be as he’s digging his fingernails into the open wound of Pierce and then biting it before spitting the blood out and finishing it off with a pointed elbow to the skull! It starts turning into that gory element that made the Silver Fox infamous in Vegas as he’s looking to escalate by sliding in a barbed wire board into the ring…and make that two. The crowd is gasping as Vincent approaches a crawling Pierce as he’s going up the ramp but Pierce turns things around by hitting Vincent between the legs with a low blow and then suplexing him on the ramp and Vincent’s folded back up again! The fight has not lost intensity for several minutes as now it’s Pierce’s turn to look for a weapon, two can play at that game and it’s his old favorite, the sock full of dimes. A swing to the midsection as Vincent gets up and then one to the small of the back that drops the general manager! Pierce even shouts that he’s cheaper than all of these dimes and pours a few of them over Vincent’s body before laying in a demeaning stomp! He then tosses Vincent into the ring and puts on a demeaning cover, the first one of the match but Vincent kicks out right away. The second chair in the ring is then used when Pierce delivers a backbreaker that breaks the chair and in his mind hopefully Vincent’s back! A cover follows but it’s a two count yet again. The general manager has more fight left in him. This time it’s Pierce digging up a weapon and it’s a wrench from a toolbox and while mouthing at the old man to get up, he eventually does and blasts him between the eyes with it! After that concussive blow a cover happens but Vincent surprises the younger Manning by just kicking out. If it’s any consolation though, the shot busted Vincent open. A consultation with the ref doesn’t yield the result he wants so he tries to end the match with his killshot, the TBTM(To Be the Man…ning)
- He drags Vincent over and goes to leap up but Vincent counters into a wonderful back body drop and Pierce lands right on top of a barbed wire board! The entire audience somehow both cheers as loud as they have as well as shutter at Manning being stuck there. Vincent uses this as an opportunity to take a breath and pull himself up fighting through the pain but when he sees Manning sprawled out in that barbed wire board a sinister smile is plastered on his now bloodied face. The ref starts to make a move to help Pierce out of that board but runs the hell out of dodge when Vincent grits his teeth and picks up the second barbed wire board and turns Pierce into the meat in a barbed wire board sandwich! This doesn’t help matters for him but Vincent then pulls himself up onto the middle rope, a sick smile creeping onto his face that’s exactly like his younger self as he stares off into a cheering crowd before leaping off with an ugly looking splash to sandwich Pierce further into that mess! As Pierce is a sliced mess in there, Vincent removes the top layer to see a far more lacerated up Pierce and he makes a cover…BUT PIERCE SOMEHOW POPS A SHOULDER UP AND KICKS OUT!
- He lets out a howl, paying the price for kicking out but he found a way to do it. But rather than be surprised about it, Vincent goes into the barbed wire mess himself and puts on Nina’s Leg Constrictor on Pierce! It doesn’t look near as good as Nina’s move but it’s effective enough as Pierce is a bloody, brutal mess but he ends up kicking Vincent off of him and the two are finally disengaged from the barbed wire for the moment. Now Vincent is stalking Pierce despite the wear and tear on his back and he’s signaling for Iser’s DDT now…but the moment he pulls Pierce in for the front facelock…Manning counters into a beautiful Northern Lights Suplex into the barbed wire board and this time it’s Moretti’s turn to take the brunt of that! It’s now gut check time for Vincent as Pierce makes a cover with a bloodied forearm over Vincent’s face but the old man wills himself to kick out somehow one more time. Now it’s Pierce’s turn to dig into his pool of creative weapons as he goes outside of the ring and brings out a golf club. He then taunts the crowd with it before taking a swing right at Vincent’s groin and connecting with it! Pierce seems to enjoy that moment before giving Vincent a low lariat to the back of his head when he recoils to sit up! The next is him reaching into his trunks to then load his knee pad up before he climbs the top rope. He leaps high into the air and drops a knee into the back of Moretti but this also just nets a two count. No real frustration now on Manning as he actually…nods his head and accepts that for the first time. Almost taking a breath to compose himself rather than blow up at the official. He then places the busted chair toward Vincent’s head as if he’s going for Know your Place(Curb Stomp) and he goes to rush in but Vincent anticipated the move and drop toe holds Pierce so he splats hard on the steel chair! The crowd is rabid for this turn of events! Rather then make a cover, Vincent goes to get another toy, a staple gun! He’s still wincing from that low blow from the golf club…so rather than staple his head or his fingers…Vincent staples Pierce right between his legs! And he’s howling and rolling around in agony as Vincent now has that catlike grin on his face as the torment he’s caused. Instead of making a cover, he’s embracing more chaos and violence by going outside of the ring and starting to take the mat of the rings apart! He removes the covering and the thin padding to reveal the wooden boards at one corner! He even folds it over and uses one of the barbed wire boards as a way to keep the wood of the ring exposed! He drags Pierce up and signals for that DDT and he hits it! It hurt Vincent’s back as much as it hurt Pierce entirely…as he rolls Pierce on his back and seems to make the academic cover…
- WHAT IN THE HELL!? PIERCE KICKED OUT AGAIN! This time Vincent is actually shocked by this turn of events blinking before he just accepts it. It takes him more than a moment to finally pull himself up…the toll of that DDT almost as bad on him as it was for Pierce but it looks like he’s going to do a piledriver but before he can connect, Pierce lowers his head and raises it really fast in a version of a low blow and this immobilizes Vincent. Pierce then sees this is a great opportunity for a kill shot as he then sets up and CONNECTS with the Be the Man on the wooden boards! As much agony as this put him through, Vincent’s body crumples on the impact and stiffens as Pierce rolls him on his back and makes the cover to finally end this bloody war.
- At the end after the ref raises Pierce’s bloody arm up as he’s over Vincent, Megan is the first person to sprint in and check on her husband. EMTS are coming in to tend to both competitors. Pierce is the first one to get some help but he’s leaving on his feet. The audience is booing the man with full passion despite the guts he showed tonight to get this victory and even in that bloodied daze, Pierce has just enough energy to flip off someone in the front row as Megan is helping him walk up the ramp. The EMTs seem to have a stretcher ready for Vincent but Vincent rolls out of the ring on his own accord. Rather than take the stretcher, he’s crawling on his hands and knees up the ramp, unable to walk but refusing to let himself be stretchered out despite his own injuries and how long he might be out from doing his job…
