Riot in Wyoming
TAPED from Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, WY
Sunday, December 18th, 2022
We open the show inside the MWE studio, welcomed once again by Amy Maynard. The Voice Of Riot greets the audience and introduces them to tonight's card, focusing on the Main Event between Olly and JJ Night. It's the fourth match on the series, but it could be the last one should Night beat the former two time tag team champion. Otherwise, they'll set things at On Thin Ice. A brief recap shows highlights of the first three matches, from Olly's controversial win at 5ive when The Division attacked JJ's cousin CJ, to Night making him tap out on match two and finally last week's Christmas Village street fight match. Amy then announces who the Lumberjacks are: for Olly, it's obviously his partners in crime of The Division, Julian Savell, RAZE and Wade Manson. On JJ's side instead we have Melissa Reeves, Miki and Tiff.
Cut inside the Wyoming Center, where we find Clyde and Erika Eldon preparing for their first match as a tag team. The older sibling is speaking words of encouragement to his sister, who's still feeling down after the fallout with her ex-boyfriend and her mother. CEJ doesn't have a single nice thing to say about Karen, but he seems to really care about Erika, trying to convince her that she can't let their mother ruin her dream. "Maybe this is how it was always meant to be. You and me, the real Eldon Family. It's a new beginning for us, away from Karen's toxic influence."
Inside the LeBeaus locker room, we find Leia talking to her sister and manager Eloise K. LeBeau, while the youngest sibling Bebe is furiously typing on her phone. The Show is asking Eloise if she heard anything about a rematch from the GMs, seeing how they were robbed by Bad & Boujee at the Five Year Anniversary show. "The bish switched!" Bebe repeated while taking a selfie and send it to whoever she was chatting to. The manager says that she spoke with Elsa, but her answer was negative. The tag division is abuzz, new teams are joining and they're all gunning for the same goal. Their best shot at becoming tag champ is to work their way up the ranks, starting tonight.
Tag Team Match
Bebe LeBeau & Leia LeBeau VS Clyde Eldon Jr & Erika Eldon
Both teams were particularly motivated tonight. The LeBeaus were looking to rebuild the momentum after failing to capture the gold at 5ive, while the Eldons were trying to turn the page and start a new chapter. But determination alone wasn't enough to beat a more experienced team like the LeBeau sisters. Leia's star shone bright tonight, she single-handedly turned the tides of the match after a first part of the match favorable to the Eldons. Her Seattle Slutdrop on Erika almost gave her team the win, but Clyde was able to make the save. CEJ tried to bring his team back in track. He easily outpowered Leia and slammed her on the canvas with a sidewalk slam, scoring a count of two. Leia needed a tag, but it wasn't easy to find an opening due to Clyde's relentless attacks. Exploiting a distraction provided by the referee, Leia hit him with a low blow and followed with a roundhouse kick to the head. She made the tag to her sister who rushed to the opposite corner to knock Erika off the apron before focusing back on Clyde and deliver another Seattle Slutdrop, this time for the win. WINNER: Bebe LeBeau & Leia LeBeau BY: Pinfall (Seattle Slutdrop), 8:13 |
The Marajah Of Marketing etc. etc. Leviticus is standing backstage with his client Jessica Lasiewicz and MWE interviewer Camille Bellamy. After asking Mille to list all his nicknames, which surprisingly she did correctly, Leviticus begins one of his endless speeches, but he's quickly cut short by Jessica. The Archangel reminds him of the interviewer's presence, stating that he should let her do her job. Camille nods and begins to ask her questions to Lasiewicz, although it's always Leviticus who answers for her. Which seems to annoy Jessica a bit. She cuts short Bellamy on her last questions, knowing that's the only way she could speak before her loudmouth manager steps in. The ever confident Archangel says she isn't too worried about this match. Sure, Aalyah is a solid competitor but tonight's match doesn't really mean much, nor does the one Summer is involved into next Friday. The only thing that matters is what will go down at On Thin Ice and as good as Bad & Boujee are, they're simply not... Fabuolous.
Aliyah and Annica Greene walk into frame, commenting on the GMs booking in preparation of the PPV. Annica notices a pattern, they've been doing this same dance with the LeBeau right before 5ive. Her sister adds that it's a good chance to get to know they're opponents better, even though Fabulous surely don't need any introduction. But there's another aspect not everyone may have caught, and it's something that brings a smile to their faces. With their next defense scheduled for the 27th, they're officially the longest reigning Tag Team champions in MWE history. "Make no mistake tho... We ain't planning on stopping there."
Singles Match
Aliyah Greene VS Jessica LasiewiczThere was a long studying phase at the beginning of the match, where the two competitors tried to get a feeling of their opponents while keeping their guard well up, careful not to leave themselves open to their attacks. Greene's quick cover attempt only gave her a two count, but it could be considered the beginning of the second part of the match. The pace was now a lot faster, which seemed to favor the tag champion who came once again close to the win with the springboard seated senton. The Archangel's Our Lady Peace put an abrupt end to Greene's momentum. Lasiewicz relied mostly on kicks and strikes to keep paving her road to the win. Aliyah tried to regain control but her My Sunglasses Are Gucci (standing shooting star press) attempt found nobody home. The Boston native wasted no time and finished the opponent off with her Pure Deformation (skull crushing finale), scoring the win. WINNER: Jessica Lasiewicz BY: Pinfall (Pure Deformation), 8:23 |
Till Schlotterbeck is backstage, cutting his usual pre-match promo. The German starts with a bit of retrospective of his first two matches, noting how they were two very different opponents with different if not opposite styles but in the end he was the one prevailing. The German rightfully gloats about having a good start, possibly even beyond his expectations but his moment of glory got interrupted by Nate Krelle. The Anti-Trend ironically applauds Till, congratulating him for being the second best thing to have come to MWE recently. Of course, he doesn't expect the fans of management to recognize him as their greatest signing in recent times, the Anti-Trend is always considered "not enough", a "underdog". People will always pick the fun, dumb, beer-drinker over a true athlete, becuase they can relate to someone like till. Average at best. And as he said that, he pushed Schlotterbeck back. The German fought back, de facto starting this match in the backstage area.
Singles Match
Nate Krelle VS Till SchlotterbeckThey fought all the way down the ramp, trading stiff blows until they reached the ring. Nate drove Till into the ring post, the German ducked his righ hand and caused his fist to collide with the cold steel. They brawled outside the ring, Krelle getting the upper hand and pushing the opponent into the barricade, where he kept hitting him with chops to the chest. Till grabbed a beer from one of the fans and threw it in Nate's face before flooring him with a big boot. "Prosit!" he yelled before finishing what was left in the cup. Eventually they got inside the ring, the referee tried to separate them to officially start the match but they weren't getting any of that. So the official called for the bell anyway, starting a match that had been going for several minutes now. It all seemed pointless since a couple of minutes later the two competitors rolled out of the ring, and never came back in. The bell sounded once again, the match officially ending with a double count out. But the fight wasn't over yet. The two men kept punching each other until Nate kicked Till on his bratwurst and slammed him on the steel ramp with his F'n Krelle WINNER: // BY: Double Count Out, 2:26 |
Back in our studio, we are greeted by Amy, joined at his time by her daughter Mia. The Riot commentator announces that a rematch between Nate Krelle and Till Schlotterbeck has been announced for On Thin Ice. And not just a regular match. Seeing how much they enjoyed fighting all over the Arena, in Denver they'll be fighting in a Falls Count Anywhere match!
Inside his locker room, Jasper King is getting ready for his title match against Ash Fi. His friend from the Academy Walker joins him, wanting to wish the big guy good luck in his upcoming match. The King Of Pumpkins thanks his "bro" and wishes him the same against the "Rain Man". The two talk a bit about their shared past with the Junior Heavyweight champion, remembering how he had always been a scumbag, but what he did to Erika really topped it. Walker says that Jasper should make a move with the young Eldon now that she's single, and King playfully pushes him back. The Stronk Boi then remembers how Walker mentioned wanting to talk about something but the Bamboozler replies that he shouldn't worry about it. Because after tonight, Jas will be MENTV champion and he will be the one that will take down the Rain Man.
MENTV Championship Match
Ash Fi © VS Jasper KingThe third defense for Aislinn was, by far, the toughest challenge she had faced yet. Jasper's strength was just too much for her, the King Of Pumpkins literally was literally dominating and manhandling her, tossing her around like a rag doll. Powerbombs, backbreakers, suplexes.. Jasper truly put her through the grinder, collecting an impressive number of near falls in the first half of the match. Credit where it's due, Ash was really a tough cookie. She took a lot of punishment, but managed to stay in the match. At some point she caught King with a stunner and tried to change the course of the match, hitting the big man with a flurry of kicks including the Warp Spasm. The Irish born tried an aerial attack, jumping right into Jasper's arms. He caught her in mid air and violently slammed her into the mat, but she managed to get her shoulder up. With three minutes to go, it became more a matter of survival for the champ. Jasper stayed on the attack, she focused on staying away from his grasp and occasionally tried some counterattacks. Time was up, the referee declared the match a draw. King was clearly disappointed but he still offered a handshake to his opponent at the end of their battle. WINNER: Draw BY: Time Limit, 15:00 |
We then head to a relatively isolated room that isn’t an office so it’s rare you see Vincent out of it but he’s sitting on a rocking chair with a big box next to him as he’s just rocking back and forth with a peaceful expression on his face. You don’t see the Silver Fox in a suit but rather he’s wearing jeans, a faded t-shirt that says ‘Silver Fox’ in his old stylings, and a blue and black flannel vest. The…well gray hair representing that silver part is all too apparent.
Vincent Moretti:
Sometimes a man can only ever take so much until he snaps. And even this close to Christmas, a time we’re supposed to feel thankful and give gifts, all Pierce ended up giving me is an exclamation point to a year of disrespect. You’d been yelling it for a while so I had to start getting in shape just in case I’d ever have to deal with someone like you personally, Pierce. I had to sign the various paperwork to get that cleared. And don’t worry, I’m not intentionally going to screw with your career just because I have a position of power. It’s a thing kids like you could learn: it’s called having some respect for the industry and dignity.
The calmness is slowly fading away from his voice as the rocking gets a little more aggressive on that chair as he tightens the grip on the arms of that rocking chair with his hands.
Vincent Moretti:
But I think there’s a misunderstanding that you honestly think you’re just going to waltz in, think you’re just going to beat on old broken Moretti and his bad back and call it a day. If you believe it’s going to be that easy to deal with me then you’ve already made a mistake that jumps off the page and I’m pretty sure Iser taught you better than that! You’re not wrestling the general manager when he puts his boots on one last time to deal with an issue like this: you’re fighting The Silver Fox of Professional Wrestling! One of the craziest bastards that’s EVER wrestled, and a man who you might think is strange or crazy but did genius things to punish another human being! And I guarantee if you even tried to come through the wrestling I came up with, your silver spoon ass would’ve quit in a week!
There is a vein that has appeared in his neck but it seems like he’s stopped rocking on the chair with a molten look of fury expressed on his face.
Vincent Moretti:
If you’re smart, young Manning, you look back through some of my old matches. Hell, even some of the matches I had with Seth himself way back in the day in Las Vegas! Study them real well because I noticed something about them too. It wasn’t just the stains of blood that could fill an order for the Red Cross. It wasn’t the screams of agony or even some of the kids throwing up at ringside at the sheer brutality. The thing I noticed then was my eyes!
You get a brief zoom in on Vincent’s eyes currently and it’s far from the joking, calm and cool demeanor he often possesses when he’s doing his job. The Silver Fox is boiling mad.
Vincent Moretti:
When that bell rang, I got off on finding different and clever ways to hurt another person to get food on the table. That is who I was! I wasn’t some great athlete or technical wrestler: I was hardcore when most people didn’t truly understand what the hell that meant. I helped bring Death Matches to America. That’s who the hell I was! And that’s the person you poked, you insulted, you bashed, and tried to humiliate for a YEAR now! Undermining matches I put YOU in for YOUR best interest! How DARE YOU!
The yell almost echoes throughout the room when he lets all of that out. There is a pause as he’s just letting all of that anger he’s feeling fume out and it seems as if it’s built for a year. But the rocking returns on that chair.
Vincent Moretti:
So how about I ask you a question for once, hm? Just what the hell is going to happen when Vincent Moretti gets into the ring with you, Pierce Manning? You know damn well I’ve kept the receipts for all the things you’ve said, and all the stunts you pulled. The answer…I’m going to kick your ass all o—wait…no…
He shakes his head before he can complete that sentence and a frown is etched on his face.
Vincent Moretti:
No, that’s a little cliche. Variations of that are said by kids in the Academy and here today…’I’m going to kick your ass man! I’mma kick your ass!’
He does an impression of a younger wrestler with a nasally voice with that but the sneer comes back onto his face.
Vincent Moretti:
I’m gonna be a little more descriptive than that. So let me do you a favor, yes let me do you a favor Pierce Manning and give you a gift! It’s close enough to Christmas after all, so I’ll give you the gift of seeing something for your future!
Vincent then stands up from his chair and approaches that box calmly. He peels off that ribbon and starts to open the box. He then pulls out a steel folding chair that’s wrapped around in barbed wire. The message is obvious.
Vincent Moretti:
In case you haven’t figured it out, we’re having a true hardcore match. And I’m not going to merely kick your ass. And my friend Rusty here…
Vincent has a cat-like grin that’s bordering on crazed as he apparently the barbed wire chair has a name.
Vincent Moretti:
Rusty isn’t going to kick your ass either…no, Rusty is going to get sunk into your skull and have blood pour out of the orifices it creates until the hospital puts you on the list for a transfusion! I’m going to take Rusty…and I’M GOING TO SWING FOR YOUR SKULL!
And at that Vincent lets out a roar as he swings the chair at the rocking chair and it flips and skips away as there’s a wonderful chip mark where it’s left. There are shrieks of terror from the camera people and others who set this stage up as Vincent then takes the chair and smashes the lighting set there leaving a wonderful mess. The camera and the cameraman both take steps back as Vincent takes one more massive swing to smash that bulb entirely before he just turns to the camera.
Vincent Moretti:
PIERCE! I’m going to rip! I’m going to tear! I’m going to gorge your flesh! Hell like I said I may even disembowel! And the Silver Fox…is going to love every minute of it. Heheheh…
There’s that dark chuckle that comes through the general manager but he looks far more like his old wrestler self and with the carnage around him we fade away from this view.
Singles Match
Walker VS Rainer NordhagenThe two former students knew each other quite well, resulting in a fun contest the fans were definitely enjoying, with a lot of counters and reverses. Neither one of the two competitors was really getting the upper hand, not even with the dirty tricks they did not spare. After running into three consecutive arm drags, the Junior Heavyweight champion left the ring to regroup, but Walker jumped on him with a suicide dive. Nordhagen almost got away with a schoolboy pin, pulling the opponent's trunks for a 2.9 count. Walker protested with the official, showing his bare ass as proof of Rainer's illegal move, eliciting a laugh from the crowd. While he was still protesting, Nordhagen hit him with a knee strike, pushing him into the official. With the referee down and the opponent stunned, Rainer left the ring and grabbed his title, driving it into Walker's face and knocking the young man down. A second official rushed to the ring, Nordhagen quickly got rid of the evidence and made the cover, obtaining another controversial win. WINNER: Rainer Nordhagen BY: Pinfall (Title Belt To The Face), 7:39 |
Inside his private locker room Pierce Manning is rewatching Vincent's heartfelt promo. The Man chuckles at the sight of Riot's General Manager destroying his office, pausing the clip and rewatching it a second time. Addressing the camera, Manning then tells the fans give a round of applause to their GM. He's being sarcastic, of course, his applause is just a taunt at his future opponent. Pierce says that if anyone still has any doubt about Moretti losing his sanity, the fact that he challenged The Man and this outburst should clear them. As for Pierce himself, he had known this for a long time. Only a fool would leave The Man out of this show, and Moretti's recent behaviour only confirmed what he already knew. "Don't worry, MWE." He continues. "At On Thin Ice I will free you all from this madness. Elsa, Grace... You can start interviewing potential candidates already. I doubt you can find someone worse than Vincent."
Jasper King and Walker are visibly disappointed from the outcome of their matches. The two friends are trying to comfort each other, stating that it's just a minor bump in the road, that bigger and better things are coming for them. The Bamboozler then stood up, telling his friend that since their matches didn't go as planned, he may as well tell him what his idea was. Tag Team gold. He claimed that together they can easilly run through the "joke teams" in MWE and finally get the respect and recognition they deserve. Jasper seems enthusiast, but then he adds that Moretti has granted him a rematch with Ash, since this one ended in a Time Limit Draw. Looks like the big man has to make a decision...
Singles Match
Abby Blake VS Pierce Manning
As soon as Manning appeared on the stage, the fans booed him out of the building. Definitely a hostile environment for The Man, although he must be used to it by now. Every time Abby connected with a strike, the crowd erupted in cheers, soon turning into jeers whenever Pierce went on the counterattack. Abby connected a wheelbarrow facebuster and immediately went for a standing moonsault. Pierce got his knees up but Blake saw that coming and landed on her feet. As soon as Pierce moved his legs, she jumped on his chest with a double foot stomp. So far, Abby's career in MWE has seen ebbs and flows. After being a contender for the Junior Heavyweight championship for quite some time, the blonde has been struggling to reach those heights, and a win tonight against Manning would be a great way to take her career to the next level. She came close to it with the Quantum Knee Drop but Pierce stayed alive. Abby hit a dropkick, pushing The Man into the ropes from where he came back with a clothesline that turned Blake inside out. He followed with a gutbuster, obtaining another count of two. Then a deadlift German Suplex, slightly closer to the three but still not enough to win the match. But Pierce was definitely on the fast track to get the win now, as he set Abby up for the TBTM (rope assisted piledriver). WINNER: Pierce Manning BY: Pinfall (To Be The Man), 11:41 |
Duke Andrews is not happy. Nothing new, you'd say, but ever since the Cage Scramble, the Epitome Of Perfection seems to have taken a dark path. Sitting alone in a dark room, the former MWE World Champion says he has a message to Billy Danielson. Duke stares at the camera with intensity without saying a word. His lips curl into a wicked grin that did not herald anything good. He then stands up and walk away. What happened to his message?
Singles Match
Duke Andrews VS Millie SmithMillie had just stepped out of the curtains when Duke hit her from behind with a clothesline, leveling the former Academy student. The boos rained loud on Duke, as it became clear that this was his message for Billy. The absolute destruction of his young cousin Millie. He tossed the blonde girl onto the led screens placed at the sides of the entrance stage, kicking and stomping her as she laid on the cold steel. He then dragged her motionless body up to her feet and set her up for a brutal Andrews Effect on the ramp. Paramedics rushed to the scene while Duke walked the other way, leaving the scene and disappearing backstage. WINNER: // BY: No Contest, 0:00 |
Before the main event, we go one last time inside the studio. Amy offers a quick update on Millie Smith, and luckily it's good news. The Academy graduate is battered and bruised. but nothing too serioous and she will regularly be in action at the Pay-per-View. One final announcement for "On Thin Ice" regarding the MENTV championship. As everybody knows, draws don't count as one of the five defenses required to cash in the championship for a shot at the Riot or Junior Heavyweight championship, but Jasper King has turned down his rematch, wanting to focus on the tag team with Walker. For that reason, Ash Fi will defend her title against a mystery opponent...
We cut inside The Division's locker room. It's make it or break it for Olly, the last chance to drag the series to the final match at On Thin Ice. Despite the pressure on his shoulder, the two time tag champion seemed to be in a great mood. Confidence was at an all time high as he finished his preparation, receiving the last words of advice from Julian Savell, RAZE and Wade Manson. The leader of The Division reminds him that they have his back, and they'll be right there should he need their help. Olly nodded, saying that he's not sweating. Flukes like last week, or the MCS loss to Mel and Miki may happen, but when The Division works in full force, they're unstoppable. And MWE is not ready for the storm that's coming.
Best of Five Series
Match 4: Lumberjack Match
Olly VS JJ NightMatch 4: Lumberjack Match
The tension could be cut with a knife, both inside and outside the ring. At the sound of the bell, Olly and JJ began trading blows and the member of The Division quickly got the advantage, pushing Night against the ropes and sending him outside with a clothesline. His fellow stable members did the rest, assaulting the young man with stomps and kics before throwing him back in the ring where he ate a Random Act Of Violence by Olly for the first near fall of the match. Night came back with a second win, forcing his opponent to get a break on the outside. JJ's lumberjack went to push Olly back in the ring, but they got blindsided by the Division. They bought Olly some time to regroup but JJ had other plans. He launched himself toward the opponent who ducked the suicide dive. Night ended up taking down Reeves, Tiff and Julian, while RAZE barely saved himself. The Brit lifted JJ in the air and powerbombed him into the apron before offering him on a silver plate to Olly who hooked his leg. Night popped his shoulder up in time. JJ's tilt-a-whirl headscissors sent Olly rolling out of the ring. Mel, Miki and Tiff quickly surrounded him, but the former tag champion statred fighting back, hitting Miki with a forearm strike to the face. Mel immediately avenged her protege, swinging anf taking Olly's head off with her Magnitude Nine kick. All hell broke loose once again as the Division stormed the opposing Lumberjacks while Olly crawled under the ring. JJ grabbed him by the foot and dragged him out, not realizing that his rival had armed himself with a fire extinguisher. He hit JJ on the head, knowing that the referee was being distracted by his partners in crime. Once he crawled back in the ring, he dragged the official's attention on himself allowing Julian to hit the young Night with the Golden God Kick. Savell then pushed JJ in the ring so that Olly could put the icing on the cake with his Born To Lose, winning his second match of the series. WINNER: Olly (2-2) BY: Pinfall (Born To Lose), 16:33 |
