MILLENNIUM XXII: We Are A Happy Few
Live from Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC
Wednesday, December 12, 2018
The camera bring us inside the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, filled to the very last seat with a particularly loud crowd. "When Legends Rise" by Godsmack blares out of the loudspeakers as the usual display of pyrotechnics explodes on the main stage. Flying over the fans, the camera moves to the announcers table, focusing as always on some handmade signs.
"Destroy Dick December" "We Want Rori" "I wish Seph sneaked in my room" "Take A Shower Heathen Jones" "McMillion of dollars" "WTF is a Michel Artois?" "The BreeTee Committee Can Have My Babies"
Sitting at their desk, Jared Idol and Bea Torres welcome the fans with a smile.
Jared Idol:
Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome tob Millennium XXII.
Bea Torres:
Someone must explain me why we named a show after those bullies!
Jared Idol:
The Happy Few? You can't deny they made quite the impact last week.
Bea Torres:
Yeah, low blowing the poor Christopher Kane...
Jared Idol:
You didn't hear the news Bea? It's Destroy..
Bea Torres:
THAT'S NOT A THING!
Jared Idol:
Well, after last month, I wouldn't be surprise if this will become one, one day.
Bea Torres:
Fair point...
Jared Idol:
Aye. Anyway, we have a stacked card tonight, culminating in a main event where CK will have his shot at retribution against the woman who hit him in his lower parts a week ago, in a tag match.
Bea Torres:
You have to wonder how Mel's knee is doing... Dane didn't go easy on her.
Jared Idol:
He did exactly what he was asked to do. Anyway, let's kick off this ight with the first match, Dustin Douglas against Sally... Bloody Hell, you can't be serious.. Thotness? Really?
Bea Torres:
Awkward....
The camera fades into a room, presumably somewhere in the Bon Secours Wellness Arena where this episode of Millenium Wrestling is taking place. The room seems to be a rarely used one, fairly devoid of furniture or items. None of the lights above are turned on, but there is a dim light, shades of orange moving across the walls, sometimes bright and sometimes nonexistent. The camera pans over to find this is due to a series of candles that sit on the floor, forming most of a circle, surrounding a Japanese woman. She sits on her knees, eyes closed, hands pressed together in front of her, looking as if she was praying. From the angle the camera has only the white haori she wears is clear, the orange light of the candles playing across it. There is, faintly, a voice that can be heard, as the woman speaks so softly to herself, or to whatever she is praying to. She makes no moves to acknowledge the camera filming her. But that is fine. She doesn’t have to, he will handle that.
A voice, male, suddenly speaks up, from beyond where the camera can see from it’s focusing on her. This voice speaks English, though with a noticeable Japanese accent.
?:
Do you ever consider that you are never alone?
A pause, and footsteps can be heard, approaching from the far side of the room, approaching the candles and the woman.
?:
Every day, as you go about your business, you are surrounded by others. Your family, your friends, your co-workers, or those that only inhabit your space for fleeting moments. But beyond that, beyond those. Even if you walked around with not a one of those in sight, you are not alone.
At the edge of the camera’s vision, just beyond a candle, a dress shoe can briefly be seen stepping into focus, before starting to walk the circle, moving out of sight again.
?:
I speak of the dead, you see. Not in some overbearing, horror story kind of way. No specters reaching for your throat, no dead rising from the grave. I just mean those that have passed away.
A pause.
?:
Not on, though. Some may go on to a place beyond our own, whether by choice to experience a greater light or by the need to suffer punishment for their lives, but so many do not. They are the ones that share this world with us, just a hair out of our reach. The constant companions of humanity, our dead, that we so easily ignore.
The next step heard is heavier, closer to the camera.
?:
Imagine that. Seeing the living going on with their days, the ones the dead left behind, as they slowly forget. The countless spirits that hang around the living, forgotten. Spirits can touch the world if they wanted, little influences only available to the dead. But no reason to use it, as the living just...go on with their lives.
For a moment there is silence, just the feeling of something close to the camera. Then the footsteps come again, walking around the camera.
?:
But she knows them. Knows the dead are in all places, knows that they still wish for that connection to the living.
Another pause, and then just one word from him, louder than before as he calls out to the woman.
?:
Rie.
The woman finally acknowledges what is going on in the room, as she mumbles something else before clapping her hands and dropping them to rest on her lap, looking up and opening her eyes. She looks to the camera, and a soft smile comes to her face.
?:
Shimizu, Rie. One of the latest to join the ranks of Millennium Wrestling.
She nods her head and says something in Japanese, a lengthy amount of the foreign language.
?:
She speaks of being pleased. With the opportunity, what it can mean. Until now she has only competed in her home country, this is her first time being outside of Japan. The infinite roads of possibilities are opening, and that fills her with excitement.
He seems to be ready to go on but she suddenly says something and he does not immediately say anything. He asks her something back, and she just nods.
?:
Hm. I suppose. She reminded me I did not introduce myself.
The camera finally pans over enough to see him as he steps forward, the candle light bathing him. A Japanese man, mid-30s or so perhaps. His outfit is a bit strange: an unbuttoned navy blue suit jacket over grey dress shirt with suit pants to match the jacket, draped upon his shoulders is a waist-length cape fraying at the edges, and a black leather peaked cap upon his head. He reaches up and takes off said cap to take a deep bow. When he stands back up, adjusting the cap back onto his head, it is hard to tell why there is a smile upon his face.
?:
Kato, Homare. A man of no consequence, only here for Rie.
Apparently satisfied, she speaks again, a shorter sentence.
Homare Kato:
Ah, yes, that. This opportunity given. More than anything, the chance to speak to the spirits of another country makes her happy.
She smiles wider and speaks again, more at length.
Homare Kato:
This is her first time speaking to the dead of somewhere this is not her home. For that alone, she is deeply grateful for this. Letting more of the dead know that someone is there, speaking to them, knowing that they are there and that she cares...that fills her with joy. Moreso than competing, than being in that ring, letting them know she is there for them, that is what lights her spirit.
A pause, and a tiny chuckle.
Homare Kato:
Not that she does not enjoy competing. Wrestling lives in her spirit, her dual calling in life, along with knowing the dead. I don’t need to go on about the immense opportunity this is for her, what it means for her career if she should start to succeed here. It is all so much repeating familiar words, and I lost the need for those a long time ago. But that does not change them being true, and that tonight is the important first for her here. Her debut. Rie.
She tilts her head at him, and he speaks a single word again.
Homare Kato:
Heathen.
That soft smile that has been on her face fades a bit, replaced with a slight frown. She begins to speak, at length, Heathen’s name audible a few times, her hands briefly coming up to indicate pulling on a chain as her face sours more for that, before she finally concludes.
Homare Kato:
She speaks of the hope she had for her debut. That her first night would be enjoyable, pleasant, facing someone that was worthy of respect. Someone she could shake the hand of and just compete against. Alas, that was not what the living planned for her, and instead it is a man like Heathen Jones. We know of men like him. Just as you watching now do, just as the dead around us do. Use a term like Heathen as a cover, to try and give fancy to their cruelty. Jones is no Heathen, he is the same as any other cruel man. Human, alive, awful. Nothing special, nothing beyond violence and evil deeds, dragging a woman around on a chain. He wants this moment to be what establishes him, showing Millennium the new monster they should fear, at the expense of Rie, who he will use as the first to fear him.
A pause.
Homare Kato:
Those that know the dead know no fear from a man, certainly no man like Heathen Jones. Instead of that respectful debut, that enjoyable match, she receives this but make no mistake there is no sadness or worry, these are the trials that must be faced. Heathen believes this will be his first monstrous act, but Rie will throw a spanner into all those works. The living like Heathen, she’s spent so long preparing for. Those that poison those around them, that take pleasure in ruining. Life has prepared her to fight that, I’ve prepared her to fight that. And she has spent this day here, speaking to the dead around us, that wait in this building. To them she has spoken, thanking them, acknowledging them, humbly requesting that they give her any extra push of ability she may need to see this through. Because the dead know men like Heathen Jones too. They and we, have no use for people like him flourishing. So, to thank Millennium for accepting us so kindly, a favor shall be repaid. Heathen Jones will have to wait for another day to have his moment, after suffering a loss to a woman he cannot chain.
He says something in his native tongue to Rie, who nods. She begins to stand up and once she does, faces the camera with a full burning determination in her eyes. Kato steps up to the circle, that smile still on his face.
Homare Kato:
Give a thought to what may be around you at this moment. They shall appreciate it. And may you all be blessed by the surrounding dead on this night.
And with that he draws his arm back and swings it down and out, the rushing wind from it snuffing the candles, leaving only a strangely crowded feeling darkness.

Singles Match
Sally Thotness VS Dustin Douglas
The gorgeous former Instagram model turned wrestler, Sally Thotness made her debut against the 35 years old rookie Dustin Douglas, who seemed to already have a small but very vocal fan base in Millennium. And he was determined not to let them down. Since the first moments of the match, Dustin took control of the match, easily overpowering the opponent and welcoming her to Millennium with a series of knife edge chops, and an open palm strike. The brunette eventually had her moment of glory when, after a kicking combination, she took the big man down with a swinging neckbreaker, but the following pinfall attempt saw Dustin powering out with authority. Once again the two contenders met in the middle of the ring, and Sally went for another series of kicks to the opponent's ribcage, abruptly interrupted by a devastating STO by the Arkansas born. Thotness kicked out, but she never quite got back into the swing of things, and the rest of the match was a great display of dominance from Douglas. A savate kick left Sally stunned, leaving her defenseless against the T-Bone Suplex to which he followed with a running senton. Dustin could have easily gone for the cover and walk home with the second win in a row, but he wanted more than that today. He wanted to make an impact. That's why he waited until Sally got back to her feet and lifted her on his back, dropping to a seated position with a gory neckbreaker. Three seconds later, Dustin was standing victorious over the opponent with his arm raised. WINNER: Dustin Douglas BY: Pinfall (The Killamajig), 5:01 |
Jared Idol: "An easy job for Dustin, picking up his second win"
Bea Torres: "Easy indeed, just like his opponent..."
Jared Idol: "Bea!"
Bea Torres: "Oops..."

The scene? Somewhere backstage. Somewhere slightly cold (because it IS December, after all) and only dark enough to give a slightly ominous feeling. The view hangs on this view for a few seconds, until we hear...
?:
Hey... remember me?
Into frame walks a seemingly well-travelled brunette woman, adorned in the white and gold of Georgia Tech. Looking as though she's been aged from years upon years of travel like a fine wine, you'd be hard pressed to believe that this is 22 year old Katie Montes, the first ever Queen of Roses from Rose City Wrestling, or the second-longest reigning Zero Gravity Champion ever from Visionaries of Wrestling. From the last time anyone publicly saw her in May of 2018 (around 7 months), it looks as though she's aged 14 years.
Katie Montes:
In a way, I'm hoping you don't. I'm hoping no one remembers my name, or how I look, or my mannerisms... my past... I hope you're hard pressed to remember who Katie Montes is. Katie Montes has done some truly reprehensible things, if you ask Twitter. She's one of the lowest forms of scum you'll ever come across and you're better off staying away from that infection and staying alive than even interacting with her.
Montes sighs, looking down and pinching the bridge of her nose before continuing.
Katie Montes:
But in another way? I'm hoping you do. Call me foolish, but I hope you remember Katie Montes like it was just yesterday when she was on top of the world. She WAS on top of the world, and it was like she was nigh unstoppable in her pursuit to become one of the best wrestlers in that world, even if yesterday was short. She was a goofball, she was weird, she was quirky, but man, she was honestly sweet as sugar...
A slight chuckle escapes Montes's lips as she paces back and forth... until she stops in her tracks.
Katie Montes:
It doesn't matter to you, does it, Reggie? All this drama about whether or not to remember who Katie Montes is? It doesn't matter. Moicelle, Daniels, Montes, what-the-heck-ever my last name is this week. Doesn't. Matter. What matters is I'm back to wrestling, I'm your first opponent, and my body is Reggie enough to take you down.
With nothing more to really say, out of frame Katie walks to the dulcet tones of Jonathan Young as the view cuts from backstage to...
Singles Match
Reggie Walker VS Katie Montes
Two more debuts in the always growing Millennium roster as Reggie Walker takes on Katie Montes. All eyes were on the return of the former VOW Zero Gravity Champion to active competition after a few months. It took her some time to shake off the ring rust, giving Reggie the chance to show off his technical skills, keeping the high flier locked in a tight single leg Boston crab after taking her down with a drop toe hold. Katie quickly reached the ropes forcing the break, but as soon as the two met once again in the middle of the ring, Walker caught her with a quick jab, immediately applying a headlock right after. He then pushed her against the ropes and dropkicked her down once again, this time going for a pin and getting a two count. Finally Kate was able to get the momentum her way, finally using her speed to her advantage. After catching Reggie with an Enziguri, she went to the top rope and performed a beautiful moonsault, hooking the leg for a near fall. But Walker wasn't giving up just yet. The pair met once again in the middle of the ring for the most classic of brawls, and just when Reggie seemed to have the upper hand, Katie dodged a right hook and landed a series of lightning quick punches she, rightfully so, calls Hokuto No Ken. A moment later, she leaped, wrapping her legs around his neck and rolling him over with a Dragonrana into a pin, but once again Reggie kicks out of the Roundabout. Katie takes a few steps back, measuring him up and driving his face on the canvas with the running curb Stomp known as Chaos Drive, and this time Walker can't save himself from the first loss. WINNER: Katie Montes BY: Pinfall (Chaos Drive), 6:51 |
Bea Torres: "Yes! Welcome back Katie!"
Jared Idol: "It's great to see Montes back in the ring. Hopefully her bad luck has come to an end."
Bea Torres: "Yeah, she went through a rough time, but she seems to be doing a lot better now."

The cameras cut backstage to Gian’s office where Luna can be seen walking into with her Lockdown Championship resting around her waist on her hips. She has her phone in hand and looks to it as she walks slowly into the room. Dressed fashionably for the winter weather with suede high boots that show off a small bit of her thigh before her leather mini skirt which she pairs with her black, long-sleeve top sporting her little moon locket dangling down from her neck.
Luna Smith:
Why do you need to see me so urgently?
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Please, have a seat.
Motioning toward an empty chair in front of his desk, Gian waits for her to sit down. Then he leans back on the chair, just staring at her in silence. Luna removes the title from around her waist and sets it on her lap as she sits before him. She looks away and back at him noticing the staring.
Luna Smith:
You're not starstruck by me now?
The General Manager clasps his hands in front of his mouth, but still doesn't say a word. Luna gives him a small smile.
Luna Smith:
Am I making you nervous?
Gianluigi Vaccaro
Not really.
He finally says, breaking the silence.
Gianluigi Vaccaro
I just wanted to see if you enjoy waiting. Because I don't, and neither do our fans.
Luna Smith:
But some things are worth the wait. I see my title stipulation as the real key to making the Lockdown Championship a true all star title. Which is why I build anticipation.
She then sits back feeling as though she's explained her side well enough. Gian nods his head.
Gianluigi Vaccaro
I'd say that two weeks since winning the title is enough anticipation. Or you could have just asked for more time. But teasing an announcement and then not delivering? I personally find it a bit disrespectful toward the fans and your colleagues.
Luna Smith:
My colleagues so far haven't really been giving me the respect. Did you not see Kate Steele’s butt er comments to me?
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
That's not a good reason to do the same, don't you think?
He lets out a sigh, shaking his head.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Anyway, you took an extra week. Are you ready to share it, now?
Luna Smith:
Here with you?
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Like I said, I don't like to wait.
He replies, smiling at her.
Luna Smith:
I call it the 15 minutes of Stardom.
She sits forward.
Luna Smith:
Traditional Championship match rules set to 15 minutes, because let's be honest, do I really need to spend more than that time with someone in the ring? If they're worthy of being champion then they should be able to beat me before a quarter of an hour passes.
Then Luna chuckles and knocks her high ponytail to the side.
Luna Smith:
But I don't see anyone capable of doing so you'll have to get used to me sitting here with the Lockdown Championship.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Fifteen minutes of Stardom. I like it, it’s very marketable.
He says with a smile.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
I’m sure you will be a great Lockdown champion, Luna. And the stipulation you choose for it it’s extremely intriguing. Actually it’s so interesting that I don’t see why we should wait any longer to launch it. That’s why your match against Christina Rose tonight will be a 15 Minutes Of Stardom match, for the Lockdown Championship.
Luna's initial smile turns to a jaw dropped look of shock.
Luna Smith:
Tonight? I-
She says a little lost for words. Gian stares back at her, cracking a smile.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Like I said, I don’t like waiting.
Luna Smith:
Ok.
Luna stands herself up and puts the title around her waist.
Luna Smith:
But when I win this rather impromptu title match...don't make me wait too long for the champagne to celebrate my first title defence.
Gian takes a moment to think about it.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Deal. You can go now, your match is next.
Luna gets up with her title still hanging off her waist and heads out of the office with the new stakes setting in but she looks over her shoulder at Gian to show him her confident smile that she wasn’t worried about it.
Tag Team Match
Non Tournamemt
Stone Hendrix & Zooey West-Jaa VS The Mighty Now Thrive
After revealing his presence at Deep Six with the shocking attack on Jackson Idol, Stone was finally ready to make his debut in Millennium in a tag team match with his girlfriend Zooey West-Jaa. And it's a damn tough challenge against the Potluck Pro Tag Team Champions The Might Now Thrive, who walked into this match as the favorites after their impressive win last week against the HSH. "Hungry like the wolf" by Amaru blasting out of the loudspeakers, but neither Kid Terra or Null were coming out of the curtains. The tron came to light, showing a very concerned Yona Blake watching as paramedics were carrying her boyfriend and his partner out of their locker room on a stretcher. The referee looked at Hendrix and Zooey who shrugged their shoulders, barely hiding a smirk. He had no choice but to declare them winner by forfait. WINNERS: Stone Hendrix & Zooey West-Jaa BY: Forfait, 0:00 |
Jared Idol: "I guess we won't see the debut of Stone Hendrix just yet."
Bea Torres: "They just knocked out their opponents before the match! How's that fair? This kind of things need to stop!"
Jared Idol: "In fairness, we can't say it was them who attacked The Might Now Thrive"
Bea Torres: "Oh please... You didn't see how they were smiling?"

“Swear it to the Sun” begins to play as Alan Envy walks out to a rousing ovation from the fans. He is carrying a kendo stick as he was prepared for him street fight coming up. Without showboating or playing to the crowd Envy grabs the microphone and climbs into thering. He walks around slowly soaking in the reaction until he finally speaks.
Alan Envy:
What's up Millennium!!
The crowd explodes in cheers as a Envy chant echos throughout the arena.
Alan Envy:
Last week I made my debut right here in Millennium Wrestling. I came here to be a part of an incredible roster and to once again make my mark just like I have everywhere else I have been. No matter where I've been Lions Road, New Edge Wrestling, ReDefined, Lonestar Championship Wrestling, I have made my mark and took home championship gold.I don't mean to brag but obviously I have a name and a reputation in this business that I earned over being in this business since I was 15 years old wrestling under a luchador mask in Fort Worth, Texas at a Hispanic Farmers Market behind my parents back as I lied to the promoter telling Senor Martinez I was 18. Again not to be bragging but a guy like me is exactly who you want to make a name off of.
Envy points towards the ramp.
Alan Envy:
So I don't care about what happened last week atthehands of what are they the NEW World? Hell if I was a bunch of jabronis that were tired of having no success and being beaten constantly I would have done the same thing. All you need to know is I'm a patient man. Your receipts are coming, and none of you will know when it hits you.
The crowd cheers as Emvy continues.
Alan Envy:
I'm proud to ve on the Millennium roster. I'm happy to be a part of a roster that also has the likes of Rayven Hardy…
The crowd pops hearing the beautiful and gifted wrestler mentioned.
Alan Envy:
Hell it's even good to know that Heathen Jones and his um...manager I guess….is here getting another chance to succeed since he didn't get his way in Lonestar. But tonight I have a street fight, and as you can tell and all that I'm damn sure ready for it. So Sephora Eastwick come on out and dance with an Icon!
Envy drops the microphone and smacks the kendo stick off the mat.
Street Fight Match
Alan Envy VS Sephora Eastwick
”Sex Metal Barbie” blared out of the loudspeakers, anticipating the entrance of Sephora Eastwick. Envy was waiting for her waving the kendo stick, ready for this street fight and wondering why it was taking so long for his opponent to make her entrance. In answer to his question, the Belle Of The Brawl slid inside the ring behind his back after jumping over the barricade and drove her forearm to the back of his head. Caught by surprise, Envy dropped the stick, which immediately ended up in Seph’s hands. And the tattooed girl knew exactly what to do with it. After a few swings to the ribs, Envy was on his knees, open to more punishment courtesy of Eastwick. The shot to the back was so heavy that the kendo stick broke in half, leaving a big bruise on Alan’s skin. An early cover attempt only gave her a two count. As easily predictable, the fight moved on the outside, with Alan trying to find a break that Sephora wasn’t planning on giving him. She drove him face first against the steel post and suplexed him on the steel ramp, arching his back and screaming in pain after the impact against the cold metal. When Seph tried to whip him against the apron, he was able to counter the move, sending his opponent back first against the edge of the ring. After taking some time to recover, he walked toward the opponent who swung her foot for a middle kick. Envy caught it and spun the leg inwards, taking her down with a dragon screw leg whip. Searching under the ring, Alan pulled out another singapore cane and returned the courtesy, hitting Seph multiple times on her back and chest, even using the cane to choke her. Finally finding a way to escape the persistent attacks of Alan Envy, Sephora rolled back in the ring, catching her breath. Like a wolf stalking the prey, the Show Stealer followed her inside, inflicting more punishment with a Gordbuster, but not even that was enough to keep the blonde down for the three count. The pair started brawling inside the ring, with Seph holding her ground despite the beating she just went through. Actually, she was the one coming out on top after kicking Alan on the jewels. Envy dropped on his knees, holding his crotch absolutely defenseless against Eastwick’s superkick. The fans were getting exactly what they wanted. Carnage. Seph was now approaching Alan with steel chair in hand and a sadistic smirk on her face. She planted the chair in her opponent’s stomach and smacked it across his back She then attempted another cover but once again Envy said no. After a missed splash in the corner, Alan tried a quick roll up that didn’t catch Sephora by surprise. The pop up Death Valley Driver did a little more damage to the young woman, but not enough to keep her down. Growing a tad frustrated, the veteran once again rolled under the bottom rope and pulled out a table from under the ring, sliding it back in. Alan set up the table in the middle of the ring, picking up his opponent with wicked intentions. From the curtain Heathen Jones emerged, rushing down the ramp and sliding back in the ring, going for Envy’s throat. Literally. After a short brawl that saw the fresher man besting the opponent, Jones wrapped his hand around Alan’s throat and chokeslammed him through the table, leaving right after. As soon as Sephora noticed her opponent laid down, she didn’t ask any question, hooking the leg and walking away with a win. WINNER: Sephora Eastwick BY: Pinfall (Chokeslam through a table), 10:04 |

It had been ninety-seconds, if that. Nowhere near enough time for anyone in attendance to forget; and forgive, that was out of the question.
When the chain links started to drag, the sold-out crowd erupted into boos and jeers. He had all but warned them on social media, yet they failed to believe or just didn't understand him; regardless, they despised him vehemently for his attack on Texas legend Alan Envy before the commercial break.
They refused to play into the hellacious ambiance, flickering reds with oranges and rising billows of smoke be damned. So far as he was concerned, stepping from behind the curtain and stopping at the top of the ramp, he had already taken care of business.
They fired away.
Showered in their garbage, as filthy as he could be, he forced them to wait out spitting into his mudjug before ...there was slack when he jerked. Hickey was already at his side. She begged him to turn around. Audibly, she failed to convince him this match wasn't worth it. While the red-hot crowd winged trash at the chained pair, the streaming audience heard Hickey failing to prove injuring Rie Shimizu would prove nothing in the long run.
Undeterred, or he just had something to say; either way, he dragged her down the ramp.
At ringside, she took her place beside the ring steps while he flopped up on the ring and rolled in under the bottom rope. Raising the decibel level to a point to test the very seams of the BSW Arena, Heathen chained Hickey to the ring post. He crossed the mat, demanded the microphone and came to rest in the center of the ring. Building on their hatred, he shared a mutual passion for each and every one of them.
Heathen Jones:
Funny, ain't he...
Especially, the Texan.
Heathen Jones:
...naw, duh-Lonestar don't let it be no fun ah`all for it-sport hunter like duh-Heathen.
And, he showed it.
Heathen Jones:
He make it easy, but naw, no fun.
Deep in the tight black curlies of his “grizzly,” a maniacal grin cracked his beard.
Heathen Jones:
Lonestar, ya ain't nothin´ like dat last legend of Texas. He jus’ mighta beat meh ah`meh own game, but he didn't fair well aft´wards. Did he?
Whether they were from the Great State or not, there were loyal heathens to the fallen Texan in house. Odds may be that some witnessed Johnny Matthews defeat Heathen in a log chain match, but those odds were slim. WrestleFest was never aired or released, tangled in legal red tape.
And, they wanted heard, but he spoke over them.
Heathen Jones:
Ah, some y'all r´member. Mmhmmm. Naw, see, Matthews may-uh won Hickey thirty free, but he earn `imself an eh’tern´ty uh-sufferin’ for it.
Truly believing in his plea for forgiveness, without hesitation, Heathen let them have it.
Heathen Jones:
He raise `is hand, left duh-ring wit’ `is wife, went on backstage an´is heart `tacked `im.
Heathen feigned a heart attack at the disgust of a teary-eyed, hate-fueled audience of thousands.
Heathen Jones:
Man n'ver left duh-building.
Heathen relished as he ground it in. Like most of the crowd, huge tears stained Hickey's face.
Heathen Jones:
BOOM! Big Talker was duh-first, but listen `ere, Matthews ain't duh-last star of Texas meh gonna dim in meh wrath.
His beady black eyes rolled into the back of his head.
Heathen Jones:
Dem stars ah`night, dey ain't so bright...
Heathen threw the microphone high above his head for a moment, then lowered it. Seemingly disappointed, he continued to instigate.
Heathen Jones:
Com´on, y'all know duh-words. Lonestar does; an´, dats where duh-Heathen gonna hit `im. Jus´ like `is friend. Deep… DEEP... in-uh… heart…
Heathen tossed the microphone under the bottom rope and turned toward the entrance, hoping for Alan Envy; knowing full-well, he left no chance for that happening.
Singles Match
Heathen Jones VS Rei Shimizu
The fans welcomed Heathen Jones with a loud round of boos after his attack on Alan Envy earlier in the night. Not that the man from Louisiana or his girlfriend/manager seemed to care. As they walked down to the ring, Rie was staring at the blonde woman dragged around in chains, watching Jones locking her to the ring post with a look of disdain. Jones must have noticed it since he got in her face as soon as he stepped into the ring, taunting her. Rie kept her cool, at least until the bell rang. Then she quickly took that smirk off his face with a right forearm shot to the jaw, prelude for a series of quick strikes that took Heathen by surprise. Even with Jones down, Shimizu didn't stop, dropping her knee on his arm a couple of times before trying to submit him with a fujiwara Armbar. The vicinity with the ropes made it easy for him to touch them with his leg, breaking the submission. Rei immediately let him go. But as soon as got up on his feet and let go of the ropes, she caught him again with a flying Armbar. Heathen took a little longer this time to escape the submission, favoring his arm once he managed to wriggle free. Rei started to aim her kicks to that injured part of her opponent's body, until it became crystal clear to everyone, Jones included, that that became her strategy. Sawing it coming, he dodged another kick and quickly went for a spinning backfist. The impact sent Shimizu stumbling a few steps backward, hitting the ropes and coming back right into Heathen's arms. He lifted her over his shoulders in a fireman’s carry position and dropped her down with a sitout side slam, getting the first two count of the match. The Japanese wrestler’s chaotic style once again allowed her to catch Jones off guard with the Flash Nap, a jumping spinning knee strike that. Once again Jones was down and, encouraged by Kato, Shimizu tried another cover, but Heathen lifted a shoulder in two. Rie picked him up and whips him against the ropes, but Jones reversed it and, once she bounced back, he kicked her into next week with a pump kick. After grinding her face with his forearm, he dragged her back to her feet, and lifted her in a suplex position. Holding her for a stalling vertical suplex he turned to his manager, asking her when he should drop Rie. It’s the Hickey’s will, but the blonde chained girl didn’t seem to like it. Eventually she told him to complete the move but Jones just shook his head, delaying it a little more before, finally, dropping Shimizu on her back. Heathen got back on his feet and watched the opponent laying motionless on the mat. A quick glance to Hickey, mouthing her that this was over before picking up the opponent. And that was when Alan Envy hopped the barricade with bolt cutters in hand, heading to a scared Hickey. As soon as Jones saw his old rival, he rolled out of the ring causing Alan to run up the ramp. Heathen chased him backstage, ignoring the fact that the referee started to count him out. When the official reached the count of ten and the bell rang, Jones was still nowhere to be seen. WINNER: Rie Shimizu BY: Count Out, 9:45 |
Jared Idol: "Alan Envy just costed Jones a match! Talk about swift retribution"
Bea Torres: "My question is, what was he going to do with those cutters?"
Jared Idol: "Probably breaking Hickey's chain. And that sent Jones off."
Bea Torres: "That poor girl. Walking around in chain... I don't think it's even legal!"

Now many of you watching may be familiar with the ongoing rivalry between the young upstart Tiffany Tompkins and the Cloud Gate champion Britty Kane. Well tonight these bitter rivals will be forced to become tag partners tonight against the dreaded Lords of the New World. Will these unlikely allies be able to coexist for one night? Well following an incident recorded earlier this evening, your guess is as good as ours...
Following those comments, the camera cuts to the same scene recorded earlier. In the training room, Tiffany Tompkins is seen practicing her kicks against a punching bag. She is oblivious to the Cloud Gate champion, who is watching from a short distance with her title around her shoulder and her arms folded. Tiffany unleashes a flurry of rapid punches and kicks, screaming away her frustrations as she delivers one final blast before stepping back to catch her breath. As she bends down heavily breathing, that's when Britty Kane steps in.
Britty Kane:
So who was the heavy bag today? Me? Aries? Some guy who slid up in your DMs after I sent out that little tweet?
So who was the heavy bag today? Me? Aries? Some guy who slid up in your DMs after I sent out that little tweet?
The Cloud Gate Champion had a smirk on her face as she stood tall over her rival.
Britty Kane:
Funny how this is what you do to unleash the frustration. Instead of saving it for the ring, you're going to tire yourself out with this heavy bag thus rendering yourself useless for our match tonight. Really should learn to pick your spots to let out your steam.

Tiffany stands back up and snaps at Britty with a burst of frustration.
Tiffany Tompkins:
Listen, I don't need you criticizing what I do before my matches. It's already bad enough I have to be stuck with you tonight.
Listen, I don't need you criticizing what I do before my matches. It's already bad enough I have to be stuck with you tonight.
Britty holds her hands up in an almost don't shoot gesture.
Britty Kane:
Well it might be why you can't seem to win anything important. You tire yourself out with this.

She keeps that smirk on her face.
Britty Kane:
But look, I do want to win tonight so we'll have to work together.
But look, I do want to win tonight so we'll have to work together.
Tiffany has a look of disgust on her face.
Tiffany Tompkins:
Yeah...that ain't happening.
Yeah...that ain't happening.
Britty Kane:
You can't beat two people by yourself. You can hardly beat one person, Tiffo. So, uh, you might want to rethink this whole lone wolf thing.

Tiffany Tompkins:
I'd rather die than team up with you. Especially how you've been lately.

Britty can only shrug.
Britty Kane:
I will support you tonight and you will like it.

Tiffany steps up to the significantly taller champion.
Tiffany Tompkins:
Do not tell me what to like.

Britty Kane:
Well, I most certainly tried today. See you out there, chum.....p.

Britty pats Tiffany on the head before turning around and leaving.
Tiffany, feeling humiliated by how the Cloud Gate champion has been treating her, lets out one final kick to the punching bag behind her before storming off in a huff.
Tag Team Match
Non Tournament
N. E. W. World VS Tiffany Tompkins & Britty Kane
The fact that Tiffany Tompkins wasn’t too happy about teaming with her rival, the Cloud Gate Champion Britty Kane was not a mystery. She had been complaining about it all week on social media, even brought it up to the attention of the General Manager and, despite Britty’s attempts to convince her of her good intentions coming into this match, the trust on her partner just wasn’t there. And neither was the basic communication two teammates are supposed to have, according to the way they were arguing about who should start the match. Eventually Britty gave up, shaking her head and walking out on the apron, slightly annoyed by her partner's stubbornness. N. E. W. World didn't have any of these problems, with the mountain of a man known as Deadman taking on the young blonde girl. The difference between the two competitors was ridiculous, with the 7'2’’ man literally towering over the Five Foot Deathmachine. But the youngest competitor in Millennium didn't let the clear size disadvantage intimidate her, targeting the big man with her usual hard hitting style, targeting the big man legs with her stiff kicks. Deadman didn't really seem too bothered by them, simply shoving Tiffany away as if he was getting rid of an annoying insect. Britty tagged herself in when her partner came within reach, and Tompkins didn't take it too kindly. The Cloud Gate Champion stepped into this match trying to knock the behemoth down with a dropkick, only managing to push him a few steps back. She then charged at him, jumping to connect with a running elbow to the face. Once again Deadman stumbled but didn't fell. Third time was indeed a charm for Kane as she finally was able to take him down on one knee after a chop block. And then she did something that surprised the fans and her partner, giving the tag back to Tompkins. After the slightest of the hesitations, Tiffany entered the ring again, looking at Britty who invited her to kick the chest of the member of NEW World while she was doing the same on his back. When the referee eventually saved Deadman from the kicking sandwich he found himself in asking Kane to leave the ring, Tiffany dropped the big man on his head with a snap ddt, hooking the leg but only getting a count of one before he powered out. Showing an unexpected chemistry, the odd couple of Tiffany and Britty was working well on the opponent, keeping him away from his partner with quick tags and team effort. Thing changed when Britty was on the top rope, ready to jump on the opponent with a crossbody. From the outside, ACID yelled something at the Cloud Gate Champion, making her lose some precious time. When she eventually jumped, Deadman was ready for her, catching her in mid air and walking to his corner, where he tagged Vengeance in. As the high flyer climbed the turnbuckle, the big man dropped Britty on her back, holding her in that position for him to connect a legdrop. Vengence attempted a pinfall but Britty kicked out. The speed of the Swedish man was causing more than some troubles to the champ, who didn't seem able to find a way to slow the pace to something more congenial to her. Never before Vengence looked this focus and determined, holding his ground against the Cloud Gate Champion and coming this close to the upset win after the Skull Crusher. Britty kicked out, trying to crawl to her partner for the tag she so desperately needed, but Vengence grabbed her by the leg, pulling her back into his corner. With Deadman back in the match, things turned from bad to worse for the younger Kane, now at the mercy of the hulking member of NEW World. Only Tiffany's quick intervention could save the champion after the Deathwish, a tremendous bicycle kick that knocked her down flat. The interference gave her the chance to roll out of the ring and buy herself some time to recover. With his slow strut, Deadman reached her outside and picked her up, grabbing her by the throat with the clear intention of chokeslamming her on the floor. Britty fought through it, eventually breaking free from his grasp and connecting with an Enziguri that left him stunned. It was the opening she needed to slide back in the ring and getting the tag she needed. A thunderous ovation welcomed Tiff as she entered the ring once again. After a quick glance at her opponent's position, she hit the ropes on the opposite side and went for a baseball slide that sent Deadman against the barricades. The rest of the NEW World, surrounded the Android 18 in a threatening manner. Tiffany smirked, unafraid even when outnumbered like this. Taking the initiative, she connected a Death Kick to ACID, immediately turning toward Drakkon and delivering one to him as well. But the distraction gave Deadman all the time he needed to catch Tiff off guard with a huge right hand. He rolled her back in the ring and went for a quick cover, getting another near fall. Tiffany was taking a lot of punishment, but her heart and never say die attitude helped her staying in the match, despite NEW World being firmly in control. Vengence was now the legal man after the tag, but the song remains the same, with Tompkins unable to change the momentum of the contest. After hitting her with the Vengeful Spear, the Flying Bones of the NEW World went for a springboard moonsault, finding Tiff's knees waiting for him. The young girl quickly locked the opponent in a triangle choke, and it took Deadman stepping in to break the submission and save his partner from passing out. Britty wasted no time to get inside the ring, taking the big man out of the equation with a Tornado DDT. Nothing was now standing in Tiffany's way as she was measuring her opponent up for the Death Kick. But before she could deliver her killing blow, Britty knocked her down with an elbow to the back of the head. The fans watched in shock as the Cloud Gate Champion hit her tag team partner with The Tribute (Horse Stomp to the back of the head, roaring elbow and bicycle knee strike combination) before leaving the ring. Capitalizing on the unexpected gift, Vengence went for the cover, bringing home a win for his team. WINNERS: The N. E. W. World BY: Pinfall (The Tribute), 13:12 |

Backstage we see Bree currently using a cable to do some last minute curls and get herself ready for her match- up against Olivia and Levi. The loss last week giving Bree a little boot up to try and get her and Teagan back in the tournament. But she’s then greeted by Luna Smith, reigning Lockdown Champion in Millennium who has just had her meeting with Gian and not exactly smiles. Luna dressed in a strapless blue dress with an early christmas present to herself, a matching Michael Kors bag where Bree had on a casual black tank top and some basic workout pants, but a blue baseball cap.
Luna Smith:
Bree! Hi. This arena’s so big I didn’t get to see you last week.
As Luna puts her hand on Bree’s shoulder to stop her sister from curling.
Luna Smith:
It’s really great you’re doing the tag team thing. I just got out of a meeting with Gian who now wants me to defend my title against Christina Rose.
Luna leans in to Bree to sort of whisper.
Luna Smith:
Mimi beat her, she doesn’t deserve the first 15 Minutes of Stardom.
Bree Smith:
Yeah, but people improve. Take me and Teegs. We lost against the Uncanny Socialites but tonight things are going to change. Levi and Liv are going down.
Bree says punching her hand, nostrils flaring a little. Luna gives Bree a pat on the shoulder again.
Luna Smith:
Don’t have a temper tantrum, Bree
As the two sisters are talking, Bree's tag team partner Teagan Gallagher approaches them with some slight caution in her approach not having met Luna before.
Teagan Gallagher:
I think that's easier said than done.
Bree sighs and then tries to talk to them both.
Bree Smith:
I only popped that volleyball because--
But Luna then interrupts her.
Luna Smith:
Luna Smith. Lockdown Champion, Star Of The Night.
She says introducing herself to Teagan who gives her a friendly smile.
Teagan Gallagher:
I reckon you’re one of Bree’s sisters?
Luna Smith:
The fabulous one.
Luna pushes her right shoulder forward to show off her title. Teagan takes a moment to admire the title before her attention focuses back on Luna herself.
Teagan Gallagher:
Quite the successful one too.
Teagan’s tone remains friendly as she looks over to Bree before giving her a friendly nudge.
Teagan Gallagher:
We’re looking to have the same success too.
Bree puts her arm around Teagan.
Bree Smith:
The BreeTee Committee are champions in waiting, Luna. Aren't we, Teegs?
Teagan nods her head as she places two of her fingers up against the side of her head in their much beloved “unagi” signal before she starts to laugh.
Teagan Gallagher:
It’s like one mind sometimes.
Luna Smith:
Right….
Luna tries to give Bree a look as if to say what's she doing but Bree does the same Unagi signal.
Bree Smith:
Unagi, Luna. It's going to get us some gold on our shoulders.
Luna Smith:
I see. Cute accent by the way.
Luna says offering a quick smile before getting herself on her way to her locker room to change and now defend her title, leaving Bree and Teagan. The two tag team partners look at each other as Teagan claps her hands together to offer some extra motivation.
Teagan Gallagher:
I think I made a good first impression! Whatcha say?
Bree gives her partner a nod and a beaming smile.
Bree Smith:
I think you did great, girly. But if you really want to impress Luna we've got to get us some gold.
Teagan Gallagher:
All in due time, Bree.
There’s nothing but confidence in her smile as she nods her head.
Teagan Gallagher:
For tonight we focus on getting that W.
Bree Smith:
Just like we got from the Traeger brothers. Basketball, Wrestling, The BreeTee Committee collect the W’s.
Teagan Gallagher:
That’s just the way we do things.
The two share another laugh as they high five before linking arms to walk down the hallway together fully prepared for their tag team match tonight.
Lockdown Championship
15 Minutes Of Stardom
Luna (c) VS Christina Rose
The Star Of The Night was far from pleased of being forced to defend her title without warning, as one could tell from the look on her face while making her way to the ring. On the other hand, we had a very focused Christina Rose, determined to make the best out of this opportunity. With the time limit imposed by the stipulation and constantly reminded by the countdown rushing on the tron inexorably, Rose knew she couldn't waste any time and surprised Luna with a standing dropkick right off the bat, going for the quick cover and only getting a one count. The champion took a break rolling outside the ring leaving Christina no chance but to chase her. Luna quickly entered the ring, followed by the challenger and soon left again sliding under the bottom rope on the opposite side, repeating the scene a couple of times playing with the time. The fourth time she entered the ring, she turned around and kicked Christina in the stomach, doubling her over and following up with a single leg dropkick to the side of the head. Luna had no rush at all, knowing that she could just control the pace of the match and let time make its natural course. With nine minutes to go, she found herself behind the seated opponent with her knee pressing against her upper back, pulling back her head with a simple but effective chinlock. The challenger pulled herself back up to her feet, breaking free of the submission and swinging her leg for the Flashing Lights. Luna ducked the chick kick and grabbed a hold of Christina's purple hair, yanking and dragging her back down on the mat, applying yet another chin hold. Her attitude was disappointing the fans, who were hoping to see a completely different match between two competitors known for her high flying style. But no one can really blame Luna for exploiting the rules of the stipulation she choose. The pace of the match finally picked up when Christina took Luna down with a tilt a whirl ddt, following up with a springboard leg drop. The near fall gave the challenger a boost of confidence and rallied the fans behind her. Luna kicked out from the Smell The Roses as well, but it became now clear that she couldn't simply let time pass anymore. The chance to turn things around came when Luna ran up to top of the turnbuckle interjecting Crystal's high risk move and turning it into a Spanish fly. The Night Skyfall got her some applause from the fans and, most importantly, switched the momentum back in her favor. Finally the Lockdown champion showed her striking proficiency with some Krav Maga based knee strikes, completing the sequence with an overdrive neckbreaker. The countdown read a little less than five minutes remaining when Luna climbed to the top rope, landing on Christina with the Stardom, a beautiful sparkle splash that sealed the deal for her first successful title defense WINNER: Luna BY: Pinfall (Stardom), 10:39 |
Jared Idol: "And Luna retains!"
Bea Torres: "Kudos to Christina who gave the champ a run for her money but in the end, Luna walked out with the win."
Bea Torres: "Kudos to Christina who gave the champ a run for her money but in the end, Luna walked out with the win."
After her title win, freshly washed with her hair cascading down into some curls while she’s back in her blue dress ready to celebrate her first title defence. She has a few staff members and VIP fans surrounding her as she tells them a very one sided story of her title defence, deliberately leaving out any of Christina’s comeback or strong shots that left bruises on Luna she covered up.
Luna Smith:
And that’s why I’m sitting here with the Lockdown Championship still on my shoulder and no one is ever going to change that.
A trainee wrestling student from Michigan had a visitors pass on his neck. Wearing a snapback black hat, loose hanging black tee and black jeans, speaking with a very loose Irish accent.
Murphy:
You’re a confident one, I’ll give you that.
Luna Smith:
Of course I am. This Championship needs a strong, confident woman to make it the mega championship Millennium wanted it to be when they first made it.
It is at this moment that Luna notices there is someone else now listening in, stood a few feet to the side of the group that she has been addressing. With her arms crossed, dressed in a white crop top and pale blue jeans, is the conspicuous figure of Selina Metzger.
Selina Metzger:
Please, don't stop on my account. I want to hear more about how formidable a champion you are. I'm sure your fan club here are dying to hear more about how great you are as well.
Luna Smith:
As..I..was saying, I made an example of Christina, a veteran, and there’s no one in the world who can take this championship from me.
Luna gives Selina a glance over.
Luna Smith:
Nobody.
As she offers a smug little smile. Selina stares silently at Luna for a second or two. A wry smile then crosses her face.
Selina Metzger:
You know, I can think of someone else who has, as you said, “made an example” of Christina Rose. In fact, the person that I'm thinking of has done it twice - and on both occasions, she did it in a quicker time than you managed earlier.
Luna sits back a little as Selina unfolds her arms and takes a couple of slow, purposeful steps forward, moving herself closer to the Lockdown Champion.
Selina Metzger:
She also happens to have astonishing strength, as well as no shortage of confidence, and since those are the two qualities that you say that championship of yours needs, then…
She punctuates her remarks with a shrug of her shoulders.
Selina Metzger:
I don’t know. Maybe... just maybe... she actually might be able to take that title away from you - if she was to try, that is.
The smile on her face changes to resemble more of a smirk.
Luna Smith:
Uhhh no.
She looks over at the people beside her visibly scoffing but some of them have begun to back away, intimidated by Selina’s strength.
Luna Smith:
The Lockdown Championship is MY title. So she better understand that. I beat the great submissionist to win it and no ham fisted, rude woman will take it from me either. Understand?
Luna tilts her head slightly as she says that final word with a very subtle, condescending tone and goes into her bag to help herself to a stick of chewing gum. Selina is unmoved by the champion’s declaration.
Selina Metzger:
If you say so, stern.
“Stern” is the German word for star.
Selina Metzger:
Enjoy the rest of your night.
Selina looks Luna up and down, before then heading off to observe the rest of the show, leaving the other woman with her assorted collection of staff and VIPs.
Tag Team Match
Tournament, Group C
Olivia Wythe & Levi VS The BreeTee Committee
Bree Smith and Teagan Gallagher came up short after a great performance in their debut match in this tournament against one of the best tag teams in the world today, The Uncanny Socialites. To keep their hopes to qualify to the fatal 4-way title match at the next supershow intact, they must beat the team of Olivia Wythe and her partner Levi. And do it in the shortest possible time. Tee started the match for her team, squaring off against Levi. With the experience advantage was clearly on Gallagher's side, it didn't take her long to score the first near fall, after a Leg Hook Sitout Suplex Slam. Levi lifted her shoulder and quickly tried a reaction with a headscissors/standing moonsault combination, earning the first round of applause from the new fans. The match kept going at an high-octane pace with the two contenders engaging in a quick chain of pinfall attempts and reversals, trying to surprise the opponent with creative ways to put their shoulders down on the mat for the three count. After kicking out of a backside, Levi ducked under a right hand from Tee and hooked her arm with hers and wrapped her legs around the other, rolling her over with a crucifix pin. After Teagan kicked out for the nth time, they both stood in front of each other in the middle of the ring in an intense and respectful staredown, showered by the fans’ handclaps. After a double tag, Olivia and Bree met in the middle of the ring, engaging in a test of strength. Just when Wythe seemed to be getting the upper hand, Bree drove her knee in her midsection and grabbed her arm, sending Olivia against the ropes and flipping her over her head with a high angle back body drop, following up with a double arm stretch. After the initial struggle, Olivia found her footing in the match, confirming all the good things she had shown in her debut match against Selina a week ago, including a beautiful Saito Suplex after which she went for a cover, frustrated by Bree's kick out. The blonde girl recoiled back in her corner and gave the tag to Teagan. For a few minutes the tag didn't bring the desired effect. Wythe withstood her initial burst of offense, regaining control after a spinebuster. But eventually Gallagher shifted the course of the match with a running single leg dropkick that caught Olivia right on the jaw, knocking her down. Another tag was made, with Teagan climbing on top of Bree's shoulder from where she hit her corkscrew senton. Smith then went for the cover and it was Levi saving her team diving in and breaking the pin. Wythe desperately needed a tag and the perfect chance presented itself after the second of three German suplexes Smith calls The Power Of Bree, when she swung her elbow backwards breaking free and interrupting the sequence. Wythe dove to her corner touching the hand of her partner who entered the ring in style with a missile dropkick that sent Bree down on the met. Baby K was on fire, once again climbing to the top rope and dropping her elbow on Bree for a count of two. Her lack of experience showed when she went for the It's Hot In Topeca, a springboard hurricanrana that sent Bree flying right into her corner, where Teagan picked up the tag. Once again the action became so fast it was hard to keep track. Teagan ducked a lariat, quickly turning around and kicking the opponent in the stomach, doubling her over and connecting a sunset flip powerbomb that almost gave her the win. After cleaning the path with a dropkick to Wythe, Tee once again tagged her partner in, calling for their finisher, the Whoopah. But before Smith could even pick Levi up, the bell rang, for the disappointment of the BreeTee Committee and of all the fans. WINNERS: Time Limit Draw BY: N. A., 20:00 |

Tag Team Match
Tournament, Group D
High Score Heroes VS The Brothers McMillion
Christian Michaels and Javen received a warm welcome by the South Carolina fans, who were expecting big things from the last team signed for the tag tournament. Against them the High Score Heroes, drinking in the last chance saloon after the loss in their first match. In the most typical experience versus youthful enthusiasm confrontation, CM was containing Jimmy’s exuberance keeping the high-flyer grounded, controlling the pace of this match with a series of rest holds, aimed to wear down and frustrate the opponent. The strategy worked for a few minutes until Strife slid out of a side headlock and moved behind Michaels, pinning him with an O'Connor roll. The veteran kicked out but Jimmy quickly hit him with a standing dropkick, tagging his partner right after. Holding Michaels in a ¾ face lock, Strife runs up the turnbuckle and flips backwards with a Sliced Bread. Valentine follows up with a running knee to the seated opponent, hooking the leg right after. Michaels kicked out, and eventually created himself an opening to tag his brother in. The younger McMillions introduced himself to his new fans with a springboard crossbody, taking Billy down. With Javen in, the pace of the match sensibly picked up, and both competitors had their chances to shine. Javen's superkick nearly took Valentine's head off, and Jimmy had to make the save for his team. A minute later it was the HSH turn to despair after Valentine's Tornado DDT failed to bring them the win. Jimmy Strife was now back in the ring, charging at Javen who was stuck in the corner and leaping with a dropkick to the face. The young man climbed on the top rope, pointing at the downed opponent before jumping for a Shooting Star Press, missing the target as the veteran rolled out of the way. Slowly, Javen crawled to his corner and tagged Christian in. Michaels wasted no time and picked up Jimmy, only to drop him down once again with a snap suplex. Things weren't looking good for the High Score Heroes, with Jimmy desperately needing to make a tag but unable to reach his partner locked in deep in a Boston Crab. And right when Strife, with immense struggle, found himself inches away from Billy, Michaels dragged him back all the way across the ring, tagging his brother in. The McMillions made the best use of the short time they had to work together with Christian catapulting the poor Jimmy right into Javen's spear. After the Catapult-O-Doom the match was over, or so everybody thought. Valentine made the save in the nick of time, diving on Javen and breaking the pin. And while the Tennessean was busy showing him the way out of the ring tossing him over the top rope, Strife rolled him over and, surprisingly, brought home the upset win for his team, keeping their hopes to qualify alive, although hanging on by a thread. Jared Idol: "What a shock!"
Bea Torres: "This is the upset of the night, hands down!"
Jared Idol: "Indeed it is. The HSH defeated the odds and walked out with two points. That means that the Christian and Javen have to defeat The Might Now Thrive in the last match of the group."
The cameras go backstage and find the tall, athletic form of Wyatt “Jet” Blanchard as he strolls alongside his tag team partner Penelope Kaplan. Together as Jetpack they made their debut on the last tumultuous episode of Millennium, but tonight they seem quite relaxed, meeting people and hanging around monitors to watch the show in progress. As the camera moves closer, it picks up a bit of their conversation.
Jet: It’s just a start. Two points, lead in the bracket… it’s just a start.
Penny nods, as she indicates the monitor.
Penny: Plenty of teams to keep an eye on, new and not so new… was a bit surprised to see the Uncanny Socialites.

Jet gives her a deadpan stare.

But it looked yummy and we should get a slice. Or two. Don’t you think? I mean Sir Anthony Hopkins said that you only live one time and you should eat the cake.

Singles Match
SERO VS Saki
With his fellow Happy Few members busy in the main event later on, SERO walked to the ring alone tonight. The fans filling the Bon Secours Wellness Arena tonight made sure he knew they didn't appreciate the way he decided to make a statement last week, although some people chanting “Destroy Dick December” could be heard from a corner of the Arena. Saki was waiting for him, crouched in the corner and not amused by having to play by the rules. The match was underway with the Singapore Mauler using her speed and agility to stay away from the Panther's King hard shots and, at the same time, inflicting some damage with her aerial techniques. It worked for a while, and she even scored a first near fall after a springboard Roundhouse Kick, but eventually the leader of the Few caught her in a single knee facebreaker after wiggling free from a suplex attempt. SERO's deadly strikes, as Kane could confirm, we're hitting the predefined targets with surgical precision, and soon the Empire Extreme Champion found herself with her shoulders on the mat after a butterfly suplex. Saki was able to lift a shoulder, but things were looking too good for her, since Pantera wasn't slowing down at all. A jumping high knee caught the champion on the jaw, leaving her defenseless against the Kurohitsugi. Her resilience and high pain threshold, as well as the fighting spirit, kept her in the match, and even allowed her to find an opening for a comeback when she slipped away from the fireman's carry position SERO had her in and connected a Backstabber. Both men were down, catching a breath after almost ten minutes of this intense match. The double count of the referee reached 6 when Pantera started stirring up, grabbing the opponent by her hair to pull her back on her feet. Saki rolled him up with an inside cradle, getting this close to the win. The Kawaii Deathmachine found a new boost of energy and went back in control. Ducking under a lariat, she stopped her momentum and grabbed the opponent's shoulder, forcing him to turn around right into a kick in the stomach, to which she followed up with a Piledriver. SERO just wasn't staying down. With the fans firmly behind her, Millennium's favorite oddball climbed to the top rope ready to close the match with her Cotton Candy Kiss Of Death, but her opponent had different plans. He reached her at altitude, both of them in precarious equilibrium on the ropes and took her down with the Hakka no Togame. After that, he only had to pick her up and connect his version of the Bloody Cross called Tenchi Kaijin to get his first win in Millennium. WINNER: SERO BY: Pinfall (Tenchi Kaijin), 9:56 |
Jared Idol: "Saki put up a great fight, but SERO was just too much for her tonight."
Bea Torres: "She would've beaten him in a... Wait what's going on?"
Bea Torres: "She would've beaten him in a... Wait what's going on?"
The arena lights go out, when they come back on, Sephora stands behind Saki with a cattleprod in hand, she whips it over the back of the extreme champions head and once she’s down, she shoves the prod into the ribs of Saki. Sephora lets off a long shock that causes her body to jolt and jerk about, Sephora then slides out of the ring and drags Saki’s body out, slinging her over her shoulder, she carries up her up the ramp.
When Sephora reaches the stage, she lifts the prone body of Saki and tosses her off the stage, through the production cables and to the concrete floor, as security rush out to force Sephora back, several bleeps block out the threats she s screaming at both them and Saki.
Rayven Hardy is shown on the big screen in the Bon Secours Wellness Arena to a thunderous ovation from the fans as she walks down the hallway. She stops just shy of the curtain to head to one of the tunnels the fans use to make it to their seats, which is how Rayven enters the ring. She inhales a deep breath and shakes her hands out nervously.
Rayven Hardy:
This is crazy. I can't believe we're here.
Rayven pauses to take it all in. She can hear the fans screaming her name as they watch her on the screen. A smile crosses her face, albeit a nervous one.
Rayven Hardy:
I haven't wrestled since August, and now, for my big return match, I'm facing a veteran, and someone who I was honestly a huge fan of: Jason Hawk. This is a guy who I bought wrestling magazines for, you know to rip the posters out and hang them on my walls. And at the last show, I was in the ring with him, face to face. I could literally smell his breath, take that for what it's worth.
Rayven smiles, shrugging a bit before continuing.
Rayven Hardy:
I never imagined that I would be standing across from him at the very next show as an opponent. This is a match that I'm honestly not sure I'm ready for. I've been working out with Alan Envy, another recent signing here, and I feel good, but I know how talented Jason Hawk is. But that's where this all gets a little fuzzy, isn't it? Because Jason seems to have a chip on his shoulder because the fans aren't appreciating him the way they did years ago. I get it. It's a feeling we become addicted to. The cheers, the adoration, but there comes a time when younger, more in touch wrestlers come along, and the veterans have to learn to adapt, or be left behind. Physically, I know you can still go, but you're no longer the Jason Hawk that I looked up to, you've become something else along the way, and just as you want to show me your path, I want to show you one too. I want to show you that the man you used to be? He's still in there, it just may take someone to bring it out of you, and that someone? It's me.
The fans cheer as Rayven nods her head.
Rayven Hardy:
I'm not going to let you wallow in your mood, and I'm not going to let you believe that the fans really turned their backs on you. If you give the fans a reason to cheer you, they will, but if you give them a reason to boo, like you did last week? They will. I would have boo'd you too if I were in the front row or the nosebleeds. Despite everything you've done, and all of the things you still can do, you're trading all of that in to make statements that aren't even necessary. Well, it might be my return match, and I might have some ring rust to shake off, but tonight, you can try to make your statement on me. Just know that it isn't JUST me that you're wrestling. It's me and every single one of the fans in their seats out there!
The fans cheer again, this time at the shoutout.
Rayven Hardy:
You're dope, Jason, but I'm doper.
She laughs, asking herself.
Rayven Hardy:
Is that even a word? I don't know, but anyways, I'll see you out there, and best of luck.
Rayven takes one more breath before walking through the curtain and down the tunnel towards the entranceway.
Singles Match
Jason Hawk VS Rayven Hardy
The long awaited return of Rayven Hardy after the injury she suffered by the hands of Gray Malone was welcomed with the biggest pop of the night by the Millennium faithful. His Dying Majesty wasn't too impressed by the fans’ reaction as he was leaning against the corner patiently waiting for the match to start. The former wrestler Emi Yamamoto was also making her Millennium debut tonight in her new referee clothes. The match kept the premises to be a fun and fast contest since the first minutes. Rayven went for an early pin after a swinging neckbreaker, but Jason kicked out and popped back to his feet, turning Ray inside out with a devastating lariat. He dropped his knee to her head a few times, before pulling her back up by the hair. Emi scolded him for that but Hawk didn't seem to mind, sending the opponent against the ropes and hitting her with a dropsault. It took her a few minutes, but eventually the SanFran Miracle found her footing in the match, shaking off the ring rust accumulated in these months away from the ring as well as, possibly, the emotion of coming back after so long. Her kicks left Jason groggy, giving her the chance to run to the ropes and jump on the middle one, taking him off his feet with a springboard spin kick. The cover attempt only gave her a two count, and the same happened after she planted him head first on the mat with a spike hurricanrana. As the minutes passed by, Rayven started looking a bit tired, and Hawk took full advantage of it, shifting the momentum back in his favor with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. His Dying Majesty didn't waste a chance to trash talk the young opponent between a right hand and the other, finishing his sequence with the ZUUUUMA!. When Rayven kicked out, Jason glanced at Emi, questioning her count. The referee told him that Hardy kicked out before the three, and therefore the match had to continue. Countering the spinning impaler Jason calls Wings Of Time, Rayven not only avoided disaster, but created herself some room to connect a superkick. Wasting no time, she climbed to the top rope and leaped for the Skittle Star Press, finding nothing but the mat on her way down. Hawk quickly picked her up and this time he had no troubles hitting the Wings Of Time, leaving Hardy lying down in the middle of the ring perfect positioning for the Black Clouds Over Greenville. The first Shooting Star Press connected perfectly, the second one found Rayven's knees. The young girl rolled him up for a cover and Emi Yamamoto counted to three. WINNER: Rayven Hardy BY: Pinfall (Cradle), 11:01 |
The bell rang and Emi raised Rayven's hand in victory. And that's when the clip on the tron showed the replay of the last spot of the match. From that particular angle, it seemed like Jason Hawk kicked out a fraction of second before Emi's hand touched the mat for the third time.
Bea Torres: "Uh Oh..."
Jared Idol: "Bloody Hell, did he kick out?"
Bea Torres: "I'm not sure... But it seems like he did"
Jared Idol: "Not the debut our new referee was hoping for..."
An honest mistake. It can happen to anyone. At anytime, anywhere. It was exactly what Emi had done. But if looks could kill she would be dead on the spot. On his knees Jason Hawk stares straight at Emi. He is exhausted after a tough match, but his heavy breathing is caused by the fact that he is visibly getting more and more angry for every passing second.
She had cost him the match. It had been closed. He had barely gotten his shoulder up before Emi’s hand had hit the mat for the third time. But he had gotten it up. That much was clear to him. And by Rayven’s reluctant celebrations it was clear to her too. She didn’t jump to the top rope with a smile and scream when the bell rang, she didn’t react much at all. A shy smile to acknowledge the fans who cheered her was all she had to offer. The fans exploded at the three count, they didn’t notice Jason had just gotten his shoulder up. How could they? They were too excited seeing their hero Rayven Hardy win.
Jason slowly rose to his feet and headed straight towards Emi. But he was intercepted by Rayven whose quick thinking made her recognize what Jason had on his mind. She bumped her chest up against Jason and he stumbled back a step.
Rayven Hardy:
Relax! Do not lay your hands on her! You have no good reason to!
Jason never even broke his stare. He pushed past Rayven and within a few steps he had cornered Emi. She was scared. Afraid for her life. That’s when the rest of the referees rushed down to the ring. Jason was quick to notice and grabbed Emi by the arms and set her up for the Wings of Time. Knowing that Jason would hit his devastating move if they entered the ring they stopped around the ring. They could do nothing more than to hopelessly plead for Jason not to go through with this. Exhausted Rayven slowly got back to her feet. Realizing that suddenly all eyes were on her as she was the only one able to do anything she stepped up to Jason.
Rayven Hardy:
She made an honest mistake. Calm down. You’re better than this.
Jason froze. There was no doubt in his mind that Emi had to pay. The thought of any consequences wasn’t even as much a flicker in his mind. The only thing circling around in his mind was to drive Emi as hard as possible down to the mat, but suddenly he went blank. The angry expression disappeared. Rayven had struck a chord. Jason let go of Emi and she retreated to the nearest corner where the referees that had surrounded the ring came to her aid.
Rayven Hardy:
How can you even think about attacking the defenseless? This is not the Jason Hawk I grew up watching. You are an embarrassment to everything His Flying Majesty ever achieved. You are just a coward!
Still nothing. His mind had completely frozen. He couldn’t muster a single thought. Rayven had gotten to him. The fans eagerly awaited to see what happened next. The Jason Hawk they knew, His Dying Majesty, wasn’t a man who would take this kind of abuse without a fight. Without delivering the punishment he felt was fair. Seconds passed as the fans couldn’t believe that Rayven just like that stood up to Jason Hawk. The very same man, who wouldn’t hesitate to carve up someone’s back. They had seen him do it. Rayven was brave they thought. She made it look so easy, though they didn’t notice that her hands were slightly shaking. Partly because she was nervous but also excited. Still seconds passed as the fans didn’t doubt for a second that Jason was going to snap any second now and Rayven would become another victim. But nothing happened.
“JHawk, you’re a bitch! JHawk JHawk you’re a bitch!”
A small section broke the silence as they started to chant.
Rayven Hardy:
Now you listen. This is only the start.
Jason darted his eyes towards the small section in the crowd that dared break the silence. Looking back at Rayven he started to back off and exited the ring. As he backed up the ramp, he looked around trying to catch the chant that was slowly starting to spread around the arena. As Jason is backing up the ramp Fly by Nicki Minaj starts to play again over the speakers. Finally, Jason breaks his silence. He mouths something at Rayven, but it isn’t loud enough to heard over the music. Not that Rayven cared what he had to say right now. She had stood firm. Her victory might have been controversial, but it had brought something greater with it than just a simple win. She had given the fans hope. Someone to rally behind and believe in. For so long they had had their villain without anyone to stop him. But now they also had their hero. Rayven Hardy.
Christopher Kane was on a locker room floor stretching his legs to loosen up before the tag team contest he was slated to be in tonight. He looked over at his right to see a sports cup resting on a chair.
Melissa Reeves:
So...are you seriously wearing the cup?
The camera pans and shows Melissa standing beside Christopher, stretching her arms.
Christopher Kane:
Last two matches I’ve had has had someone take a shot at my dick. I’m kinda tired of it so yeah, going to seriously wear the cup.
He shrugs before popping up to his feet to give Mel a kiss on the cheek.
Christopher Kane:
I mean, when someone tags me on Twitter and says destroy dick December, I’m taking every precaution that I can, Mel.
She pauses for a second, then shrugs.
Melissa Reeves:
Okay, point taken. At least you’ve got me around to look after you out there, huh?
She grins a little. He smirks and goes back to stretching by putting his leg on the wall and reaching up.
Christopher Kane:
Yeah but they still have a person advantage tonight. There were three of ‘em that attacked me last week. That was a cluster. Didn’t expect your wrestlemom to walk out like she did. Was looking forward to our match against one another, honestly.
He offers another shrug.
Christopher Kane:
Then you got attacked by that big dumpster ass Dane. Just wondering what GvB’s end game is here.
Melissa snarls a little at the mention of GvB.
Melissa Reeves:
Who’s to say she even has one? She acts all superior, but I’m pretty sure she’s just making everything up as she goes.
She scoffs.
Melissa Reeves:
As for their number advantage? The Society always outnumbered me by far more and I never backed away from that. If you expect fuckery, you can’t be disappointed or caught off guard.
Christopher Kane:
I know. I fought the Worthy in SVW for the better part of a year. Numbers all the time but I went and called them out. I know what this takes. Just really weird how all the Japanese wrestlers where I work are coming after me.
He chuckles.
Christopher Kane:
I’m just glad we get to team together tonight. I always relish the chance of it. I’m sure we’ll be more than able to hold our own against the Dick Destroyers.
She laughs.
Melissa Reeves:
Imagine calling yourself the Dick Destroyers. What a legacy to have. Who’s going to be scared of a group that sounds like a porno?
She shrugs.
Melissa Reeves:
To each their own, I suppose.
Christopher Kane:
I’m fairly certain that’s not their name. I just can’t be assed to actually get up and look at the card to know it.
He reaches into his gear bag to pull out a shirt, one of Mel’s wrestling shirts and slips it on.
Christopher Kane:
Should be a great match tonight though, provided we can stop the numbers game and get it done.
She cranks her neck and smirks.
Melissa Reeves:
Yeah it should, we’ve got this. Come on.
She takes his hand and they head toward the door, ending the segment.
Tag Team Match
Tournament, Group B
The Happy Few VS Melissa Reeves & Christopher Kane
Christopher Kane started the match for his team in the opening bout for the group B against The Happy Few’s NEON, the one who low blowed him a week ago. And Chris didn't forget, nor he forgave her for this, coming out very aggressive from the early going with a series of hard chops and forearm shots. The Tiny Dragon found herself against the ropes but Kane was showing no intentions to slow down or give her a break, grabbing her by the arm and sending her to the opposite side of the ring, stopping her run with a dropkick. The dominance shown in the first minutes boosted Chris self-assurance, maybe a little too much. In an excess of confidence, he climbed to the top rope going for the New York Rain, finding nobody home. NEON took the opportunity to tag out, and OMI stepped in a Millennium ring for the first time as a competitor with a gamengiri to the side of Kane's head right when he was starting to get back on his feet. Chris kicked out from the pinning predicament, getting back on his feet and engaging in an all-out brawl with the Japanese girl. With both of them being well versed in striking, the hard hitting exchange was taking a lot out of them both. Unsurprisingly, after creating enough space with a cross-handed throat trust to hit a sick bicycle knee, OMI herself collapsed to the mat, exhausted. The referee started a double count, as both competitors dragged their bodies to the respective corners. Melissa and NEON met in the middle of the ring, re-enacting the exchange their partners performed a few minutes before showing, if needed, that there was no love lost between the two teams. After trading blows for a good minute, Mel surprised the opponent with a knee to the guts, following with a snap suplex, transitioning into a Crossface in one fluid movement. NEON quickly touched the ropes with her right foot, forcing the break. The Satsujin Kikai clearly had done her homework, remembering how the right knee was abused one week ago by Dane Archer, and how it bothered the former Liberty Pro Champion during her match in Underground only a few days ago. As you could easily guess, that same knee became the target of the Japanese's offence starting with some stiff kicks. Chris was looking from the outside with a serious look of concern that only got worse when, after a tag, NEON took her down with a dragon screw leg whip, resting her foot on the bottom rope and leaving the ring, holding her in position as OMI targeted the leg with a double foot Stomp. The Happy Few strategy was clear, targeting what, at the moment, was the weak link in their opponents team targeting her weak spot. And the Typhoon was the right woman for the job, making sure the Aussie went true unspeakable suffering maximising the damage to that knee with vicious stomps. Mel had an opportunity to tag her boyfriend in when, from a laying position, she caught OMI with a kick to the head while the Japanese was trying to apply a submission hold. But before she could reach the friendly corner, the opponent grabbed her once again and brought her down to the mat into a kneebar. Reeves was in agony and she probably would have tapped out if Chris didn't step in to break the submission with a Stomp to the head. NEON charged at him, getting hit with a chestblower for her troubles. The referee tried to push Chris back on the apron but Kane was having none of it, letting out his frustration on OMI as well, delivering his Hit By A Cyclone, a Fireman's Carry into a Pele Kick. After cleaning the ring, Chris went back to his corner, cheering on his girlfriend who was just a few inches away from the tag. And finally she made it, a huge roar of the crowd saluted Kane as he jumped back into the match, picking up where he left with an half and half suplex on OMI. Chris went for a cover, but NEON broke the pin. The match hit the fifteen minutes mark, with Kane now battling out against NEON. The member of the Few put her head under Chris arm and wrapped her arm around his waist, flipping him backwards with a perfect northern lights suplex, quickly following with a double foot Stomp, but Kane still kicked out in two. Breaking the Tiny Dragon's offense with a step down Enziguri, CK once again made the tag, despite the far from perfect condition of Melissa. The former Vengeance Pro champion tried her best and, even with all the limits caused by the bad knee, almost scored the win with a float over ddt, paying homage to her friend Aurora. But once NEON made the tag and OMI entered the ring, things changed for the worse for the Aussie. Soon she found herself locked in another knee bar, and this time NEON make sure Chris couldn't save her. WINNERS: The Happy Few BY: Submission (Knee Bar), 16:10 |
Jared Idol: "She fought hard but in the end, that bad knee costed her the match."
Despite the bell rang already, OMI wasn't letting Reeves go.
Bea Torres: "Enough! The match is over!"
Hearing Mel's screams, Chris rushed once again back in the ring, finding NEON waiting for him with a kick to the stomach. And then, obviously, the Japanese dropped on her knees and hit him with another low blow. Finally OMI broke the submission, and the Happy Few left the ring, leaving Mel and Chris laying down on the mat.
Jared Idol: "I hope Chris wasn't joking when he said he would be wearing a cup. "
Bea Torres: "I'm sick and tired of these Happy Few already..."
Jared Idol: "Anyway, thank you everyone for joining us here tonight."
Bea Torres: "And don't forget to tune in next week, as we go to Charlotte for another great night of wrestling! From Bea Torres..."
