3x10 Get Back (air date December 16th, 2022)

It's a historic week for the Academy as an institution. For the first time, a former student comes back within this walls not as part of their recovery journey but as a guest host for the students. The first alumni to win a title outside of MWE, the current reigning XIX World Champion Trinity Thompson. And while some of the students never hid their excitement to meet the Nap Town girl, one of them has been particularly quiet. Eerily quite, I must say, considering the history between Trin and her leader, Nine van der Hoek.

Speaking of Saoirse Tyrell, she was originally scheduled to defend the Gold Star against Ava Grimes, but due to the concussion suffered by Team Strike's first pick, the match was cancelled. Ava's shot isn't going anywhere, she earned it and she'll get it in a near future, but tonight, she will be replaced by CJ Night.

The rest of Team Strike (Arina, Dakota and Marina Marston) will be competing in a triple threat match to open this Friday's show, topped off with a Trios Team Title match between Team Noir. Oddly enough, both team leaders left their first picks Sammy Grimes and Reign Reyes off their teams. Kayla went with The Rizz, Kyle Ashton and Adrianna Garcia to try winning the title back, while Helena chose Scott Martell, Clementine Smith and Jamie James.
