Riot in Kentucky
Live from Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kenucky
Sunday, November 6th, 2022
RECORDED EARLIER:
Standing front and center for the cameras was the debuting Paula Parker. The blonde wore her pink ring gear with a sparkling jacket over top. Large, white sunglasses covered her eyes and standing directly behind her were three men, Justin, Jackie, and Jesse Parker. Each man wore a suit and stared directly at the cameras with less than enthusiastic expressions on their faces.
Paula Parker:
Riot in Kentucky. When you think about it, it's such a foreboding phrase to describe a wrestling show. It leads us to believe that something bad will happen. Well, I can tell you all that the bad thing is that my debut is in Louisville. I would rather wrestle anywhere else in the world if I'm being honest. Someone with as much talent and potential as I possess should be debuting at Madison Square Garden in the most wonderful place in the world, New York. Or maybe even in Los Angeles. I would have even settled for Las Vegas, where the people can actually afford a ticket, but no, we're in Kentucky. Such a pity, but I'll makek the most of it. What you're looking at is the new premier family in this company. I know what some of you are going to think, you've heard it before. Or, 'we'll see how long she lasts', but trust me, I'm here to stay. WE'RE here to stay.
Paula pulls her sunglasses off and looks to her left, and then her right to look at all three of her brothers.
Paula Parker:
I'm not some random no name off the street, I'm the daughter of Elaine and Jett Parker. I've been training to wrestle for more than half of my life and at eighteen years old, I'm the future of this company. I'm not here to play nice, and I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to be successful. I won't stab anyone in the back, I'll tell each and every one of you right now that I will stab you in the chest. I'll step on anyone to get where I want to get, and my family will NEVER settle for anything less than the best. Which brings me to tonight. In my official pro wrestling debut, I'm wrestling Kate Steele. Being the Prodigy that I am, I've done my research. She's been wrestling since I was in elementary school.
Paula mockingly claps her hands and rolls her eyes.
Paula Parker:
Congrats, Kate, but ask yourself, how will that make you look when you end up in a familiar position? On your back.
The Parker brothers in the background smirk simultaneously.
Paula Parker:
This isn't personal because if it was, you wouldn't be classy enough to be in the same room as me, so let's keep it professional. Professionally, I'm walking out with my hand raised and I don't care how I do it. Don't say I didn't warn you. Oh, and you lovely little fans out there? Consider this match as your preview of what's to come. You can do the right thing, embrace me, and ride to the top with me, or...well...
She looks down at her boot as she lifts it up and then stomps it back onto the concrete floor.
Paula Parker:
End up under my boot just like Kate Steele.
With that, Paula walks off past the camera and down the hallway, with her brothers right behind her. Will 'The Prodigy' prove to be everything she claims to be? We'll find out in just a few moments!

”You know, after last time, I thought the door was completely shut. I thought it was over. Finished. Here no more. And yet…
Instead of seeing Chris Sanderson, we see some of his past glory in MWE in years past.
Chris Sanderson:
In the last three years, I’ve had a total of what, a few matches here? And yet, I find myself in this World Championship Cage Scramble Qualifier match. Speaks a bit about what I was able to do during my time here in this company a few years ago. To walk back in and get placed in a tournament like this?
To the best of my knowledge I’m still the only two time.
Clips of Sanderson’s title wins are shown, and of course, Melissa Reeves cashing in right after his second title win a bit more than three years ago.
Chris Sanderson:
Tank Steiner. Big guy. Bigger than me in that ring. A bad mother from all accounts. He’s gonna hit me hard. Throw me around a little bit. He has seven inches and over 100 pounds on me. It’s going to happen. But here’s the difference, Tank.
I’ve bested bigger men than you, stronger men than you and better men than you. I’m sure you want some sort of redemption, and none of that matters to me. I don’t want to know the context. I don’t want to know anything about it. At the end of the day, it won’t happen. Redemption, vengeance, all those roads can led a man to ruin.
Lord knows I’ve been there many a time and I’m six years younger than you are.”
He follows up with a chuckle.
Chris Sanderson:
Tonight, Tank, it’s not you getting anything. It’s about me. It’s about regaining something I want to have for a third time. My first time I wasn’t focused. I was going through so much bullshit and my elbow finally went on me. Second time it was taken from me by someone who hated, and probably still hates me. That’s fine. I deserve it.
When I win this match and move on and move on and move on and win that title a third time? It’s not redemption for me, big fella. It’s not righting a wrong. It’s me coming home to the place I won my first world championship and marking myself down as something more than just a two-time.
It’s becoming more than everyone else in my fucking family. A legend with honor.
And with that said all the clips cut.

We cut backstage to JJ Night, who just had the hell beaten out of him earlier in the night in his match with Olly, after Julian Savell made it a no DQ match. The backstage medical team try to check JJ out but the usually calm, cool and collected JJ refused and practically pushed them away.
JJ Night:
I’m fine! I’m fine! Just leave me alone.
JJ kept on heading toward his locker room when Rhett Adelson, who had recently returned, stepped in his way. The two knew each other from Nightfall, and Rhett was the protege of JJ’s older cousin and creator of Nightfall, Chris Night.
Rhett Adelson:
Hey bud, you should definitely get checked out.
JJ tried to push by Rhett but Adelson stopped him.
Rhett Adelson:
Listen man, this isn’t like you. I know you’re having a rough patch but you’re the one that’s not supposed to lose his cool out of the bunch of us. Out of everyone to come out of Nightfall? You to your core? You’re the purest one of them all. Don’t fall down that dark hole that Faith was trying to pull you down a couple of years ago. She had you halfway down and almost kept you there.
JJ sighed and shook his head.
JJ Night:
I’m fine. I know who I am. I just need a minute to myself.
Rhett placed a hand on JJ’s shoulder.
Rhett Adelson:
I know you were looking forward to this match because it was Olly and you want to get one over on him. But he’s a part of The Division and Julian has the briefcase. Right now? If you want to get one over on Olly and beat down the rest of those guys? You need a plan. Think about it.
Adelson nodded before he walked off. JJ looked up with a furrowed brow as he thought it over.
JJ Night:
A plan? It doesn’t matter what plan I come up with, I can’t take on all of them by myself. But it doesn’t matter the numbers… I’ll keep fighting, even if I keep on falling.
With that said, JJ walked out of the frame and into his locker room and the scene cut away.

We come backstage where we find Matt Stone walking down a hallway with a colourfully wrapped box under his arm, stopping at a door. He's already dressed to compete save for a t-shirt with PCP written on it. He knocks on the door and waits. He is not kept waiting for too long before the door is opened, revealing his tag team partner standing on the other side.
Veronica Sawyer is also dressed to compete for the evening having picked out her favourite ring gear. The golden set as she has pulled her blonde hair back into a high ponytail. She remains silent as she raises one eyebrow, her eyes locking in on the gift wrapped box tucked under his arm. Finally she decides to lean up against the frame of the door as she crosses her arms.
Veronica Sawyer:
Can I help you?
Matt Stone:
I’m sure you can, but first I wanted to give you this!
He holds out the box for her to take, a smile on his face.
Matt Stone:
I know your birthday was Tuesday but I haven't seen you since so Happy Birthday!
Veronica takes the box in both of her hands, not even the smallest hint of a smile appearing on her face, as she gives the gift a small shake.
Veronica Sawyer:
Well…better late than never, right?
He nods, though isn't a big fan of taking responsibility.
Matt Stone:
In my defense I was in Greece, and I wouldn't shake that too much, not sure how fragile it is.
Genuine curiosity appears upon Veronica’s face as she stops her shaking of the gift, now stepping back slightly so that Matt can make his way inside of her locker room.
Veronica Sawyer:
Did this come from Greece?
Matt Stone:
You could say that, I spoke with Melanie while I was there and she helped me find it.
He explains as he steps inside, having a quick look around, as Veronica starts tugging at the bow on the gift.
Veronica Sawyer:
Can I open it?
Matt Stone:
Of course, it is for you after all. Also, props to getting your own bag in here, I know you struggle to carry it.
He adds with a smirk, pointing at her luggage on the bench. Veronica shakes her head with a slight smirk as she focuses her attention on peeling away the wrapping paper.
Veronica Sawyer:
I couldn’t ask you when we’re supposed to be opponents tonight.
Matt Stone:
I appreciate that, though after tonight dinner’s on me. We both know how it gunna go out there and to the victor goes the bill, right?
Veronica raises one eyebrow as she pauses for a moment.
Veronica Sawyer:
Oh? And how is it going to go exactly?
He shrugs, pointing to the box so she'll continue to open it.
Matt Stone:
Oh you know, we’ll go out there, we’ll put on a bit of a wrestling showcase and then you'll slip or whatever and let me win. You've already got your title, this one is mine.
The suggestion is enough to make Veronica snort slightly with a chuckle while she puts her focus back onto removing the wrapping paper from her gift.
Veronica Sawyer:
That’s cute, but you know better than anyone that I’m not about to throw a match, not even for you. I’m actually insulted you would suggest it. Very Karen of you.
Matt’s eyes widened at that insinuation.
Matt Stone:
Karen? That's not a fair comparison, you and I have history, we’re partners, we have nothing to gain facing each other. This is simply a mutually beneficial arrangement Ronnie.
Veronica Sawyer:
Mutually beneficial for who exactly?
Veronica raises one eyebrow as she finally finishes tearing through the wrapping paper, letting it fall to the floor below, before she lifts open the lid of the box. She reaches inside with one hand and holds up an elegant and beautiful crystal rose.
Veronica Sawyer:
Matt… this is beautiful.
Matt Stone:
Oh good, I’m glad. I don’t think it’s fragile but I wasn’t sure. And of course it’s beneficial for both of us, we know each other well, that’s no surprise. You know my weaknesses, I know yours etcetera, it doesn’t help either one of us to expose that sort of thing to the roster. Wouldn’t you agree?
Veronica places the rose back inside of the box before handing it back over to Matt with an amused expression on her face. She puts one hand on his shoulder as she shakes her head.
Veronica Sawyer:
I’m afraid this rose is as transparent as your narrative to try and convince me to lie down for this match.
Mayy takes the box back and looks at her, half smiling and half disappointed. He sets the box down next to her bag, showing that he really did want her to have it before readdressing her.
Matt Stone:
Okay, okay, if you want to go out there and lay it all on the line, I’m more than happy to do that with you…
He walks past her, gently nudging her shoulder on the way bay before glancing back.
Matt Stone:
Just know that even you can’t shut me up.
Veronica just shakes her head, a slight smirk tugging on her lips, before the camera cuts away as Matt is seen leaving the room.

Camera fades into the small locker room that was just spacious enough the Duke could change for his match tonight without having to stick his legs into the hallway to fit. Thanks Grace. As he sat on the small chair, his black gear hanging behind him. The trim is orange, hanging on a hook. He was dressed casually, a little different than the last time he was seen in an MWE ring. He looked up as the door closed, his better half entering the tiny room. Stepping over his outstretched legs to sit in the recliner on the other side. Duke continued to scroll through his phone.
Duke Andrews:
Christopher. It’s been three years since you asked to tag along. It’s been three years since we got together and brought in Redd and Alan. Since we ran roughshod on this roster. Since we reigned supreme in this company. A lot has happened in that time, hasn’t it, pal?
For once, he looked up from his phone to the camera. A black hat on backwards, the MBP logo emblazoned in bright orange above the snaps that went across his forehead. His sleeveless shirt showed off his tattooed upper body, his chains on display.
Duke Andrews:
I remember that first night in Dallas. You and me, Olivia and Redd. Alan sitting there and we discussed the business and how we could change the fucking game. And that we did. You went on to take the same thing we get to step into the ring and face off for. I made the lockdown title as prestigious as it would ever get. The tag titles draped over our bodies. We were a family. And then…then you got greedy. I always knew that you were a snake, but I was dumb enough to look over it. The cash was stacking up. But I realized that I needed that time in my life. I needed to be jaded and when you begged Hearst to let you join him, it awakened me. And actually Chris, thank you for that. I’ve spent the last eighteen months living at a fucking level in this business that I was told I’d never achieve.
Duke set his phone down as he leaned forward. Resting his arms on his thighs as he looked up into the camera.
Duke Andrews:
It’s like your memory is that of Pappy Constantine. A little old fashioned of Rock, Paper, My foot up your ass. You think that I’m just going to roll over and let you just move on because we are buddies. Chris, you know better. Chris, I hope you had that long conversation with Jesus at the last @wrestlechrist show because he’s the only person that can give you the advice you’re going to need. I’m going to see you in that ring tonight. A match that should’ve been saved for a premium event, but the home of papa John’s is good enough for me. Chris? Listen to me.
Duke leaned forward and pulled the camera closer to his face.
Duke Andrews:
I said something a couple days ago…you ever talk shit ‘bout the wrong motherfucker, wake up next day and get your head pealed? Chris…I’m the wrong motherfucker. All those mistakes you’ve made, you have to pay the piper to survive and those pockets aren’t deep enough. I’ll see you tonight. I promise I won’t end your career, I’m just going to kill your dreams. And remember, Chris Constantine sleeps with the fishes.
Fade.
