MWE Summer Beach Tour: Surat
Live from Dumas Beach in Surat, Gujarat, India
Thursday, September 15th, 2022
The Titanton lights up showing a corner of the backstage area where Millennium Wrestling Enterprise’s newest signee Selena Lyre is seen sitting against the wall with both legs stretched completely out, wearing her ring gear, and on her head a pair of white headphones as she is seen bobbing her head with her eyes closed enjoying the music when she is approached by MWE backstage interviewer Jenn Carter.
Jennifer Carter:
Uhm Miss Selena can you hear me?
The female interviewer turns, and faces she camera throwing her hands up like she doesnt know what to do when she hears a metallic thud beside her, and she is instantly startled, quickly turning to face the noise when, and comes face to face with a average sized man wearing a black hoodie, and having a white mask covering his face, and dawning a metal can in his left hand which he is leaning on, when he speaks in a robotic voice obviously using a voice changer.
Masked Man:
Sorry to startle you ma’am, You may call me Mr.X, and i represent Selene Lyre as her manager to which i ask you look past Selena being lost in her own little world, because let’s say she is rather introverted, and tends to keep to herself
Jennifer Carter:
So I am guessing you're her acting mouthpiece then i take it? So I presume I have to come to you from now on with questions for Selena?
Mr.X:
Your're mistaken lady, I am no mouth piece, just a mentor, and a friend.
Mr.X takes his cane, and lightly taps Selena on her left leg to which she opens her eyes seeing Mr.X and Jenny standing in front of her to which her cheeks get red, and a look of embarrassment comes across her face as she quickly jumps to her feet, and pulls her headphones off her head placing it around her neck.
Selena Lyre:
Mr.X how long have you been here, and who is this lady?!
Mr.X:
Why Selena this lady works as a backstage interviewer for Millennium, and has came to talk to you
Selena Lyre:
My apologies, I have got a few minutes before my match so if you still got the time..”
The female interviewer smiles at Selena.
Jennifer Carter:
You're fine dear. So if I got my facts right, You are twenty four years old, and haven't had a single match yet?
Selena Lyre:
Correct with my age, and I have had plenty of matches at my wrestling school, but wrestling school is completely different then out here in the real business, so in that terms? No i havn’t had a match yet since graduating so i guess you can say that tonight my training wheels are officially off!
Jennifer Carter:
I see, aren't you nervous, and what can we expect from you here tonight, and what are your plans for your future here in Millenium?
Selena Lyre:
Who wouldn’t be nervous having their very first match in the big leagues in front of millions against a experience opponent Kate Steel who has been at this for eleven years maybe twelve if my research is correct, so she has a huge experience advantage tonight, but I am prepared, and confident in my ability, and I am no trying to toot my own horn with that statement, but Mr.X has always told me to always believe in myself no matter what obstacle lays in front of me, and that has become kind of a mantra for me, and as for my plans? Well I am just getting started so we shall see!.
As Selena finishes her sentence she hears her entrance theme playing.
Selena Lyre:
That's my que, Got to go!.
Selena smiles as she walks by the interviewer heading towards the curtains leading out to the ring as Mr.X follows behind her when he is briefly stopped by the interviewer.
Jennifer Carter:
She seems like a really nice girl, are you sure she is ready for this?
Mr.X places his right hand on the interviewer’s left shoulder.
Mr.X:
I am fully confident in my client’s ability. Her weakness tonight will be this being new to her, the crowd, and being completely out of her league experience wise… yet if I was a betting man? I would say that I think the millions of fans in attendance, and all the superstars in the locker room, and her opponent tonight Kate Steel? Will all be in for a treat, because there is a reason I chose Selena as my pupil, and why she has earned nicknames for herself in training such as Electric Girl, and Sky Goddess. I think everyone is in for a treat tonight.
As Mr.X finishes speaking, Selena can be heard yelling at him from a distance.
Selena Lyre:
Mr.X are you coming?!
Mr.X:
On my way dear!
Mr.X walks past the interviewer with a slight limp walking on his cane as the female interviewer turns, and watches them leave with a smile on her face, as the scene comes to an end, and the Titantron goes black.
Singles Match
Kate Steele VS Selene LyreThe final stop of the Summer Beach Tour brought us a fresh face. Selena Lyre made her debut for the company against a veteran like Kate Steele and, by God!, was she impressive! The twenty-four years old used her speed to stay out of Kate's reach, dodging most of her attacks including a spinning heel kick. The Electric Girl hit the ropes and came back at full speed, taking Steele down with a sling blade. Lyre then showed her technical prowess, keeping the former Lockdown champion grounded by trapping her into an anaconda vice, but Kate found her way to the ropes, forcing the break. To say that things hadn’t really gone Kate’s way in the past few months might be an understatement, but she really wanted to turn things around. One might say she even was desperate to change this trend, going as far as raking Selena’s eyes to catch a much needed break. Kate took advantage of the temporarily blinded opponent planting her on her head with a tornado ddt, but it only brought her a count of two. That remained the closest Kate ever got to the W, as the match reached its conclusion a little over a minute later, when Selene blasted Kate with her Lighting Strike (busaiku knee), picking up her first MWE win. WINNER: Selene Lyre BY: Pinfall (Lightning Strike), 7:51 |
Singles Match
Clyde Eldon Jr. VS Crystal ZdunichTwo people with a lot to prove entered this match, but only one of them will be able to take that first step to turn their career around. Despite the group being officially disbanded, Clyde was still wearing his Planet Faizah shirt, hoping to get back in with the Cloud Gate champion and earning back that trust he seemed to have lost. He fought well, definitely better than any of his last performances and not even three minutes in, he created an opportunity to strike with his patented spear, called For You Dad. But Crystal wasn’t going down so easily, intercepting him with a superkick and flooring the young man. She rushed to make the cover but CEJ kicked out in time. Crystal’s experience seemed to put the match on the right track for her, giving her that edge against the hungry young opponent. Clyde was pouring his heart and soul into this, really trying to turn things around. But his offense wasn’t very effective, even the few blows he managed to connect looked sloppy and didn’t actually do much damage. It looked like Zdunich was taking this one home, climbing to the top rope for her Mega Buster. But right then, moments before the disaster, Eldon found a way to turn the tables, launching himself into the ropes and causing them to shake. Crystal lost balance and fell back inside the ring, landing awkwardly on her neck. She struggled to even get back to her feet, and just when she did, Clyde cut her in half with the For You Dad spear, this time picking up the win. WINNER: Clyde Eldon Jr. BY: Pinfall (For You Dad), 7:17 |
Singles Match
Walker VS ValkyrieThird match of the night saw the Chicago Way champion in action against one of the Academy products, the outspoken Walker. His fast paced style was effective in the early moments of the match, allowing him to score the first near fall with a spectacular reverse hurricanrana. The champ kicked out with authority and immediately shook it off, preparing for the incoming attack. It was a diving crossbody she easily countered, catching the younger opponent in mid air and dropping him onto her stretched out knee. She got a two count off the backbreaker but, more importantly, she steered the match in a favorable direction. She kept the momentum going with some heavy strikes that really rattled the young wrestler. He found himself in the corner, watching as Valkyrie came charging in with a head full of steam to squash him into the turnbuckle. He managed to react at the very last moment, raising his legs and kicking the champion in the face. Lifting himself to the top rope, he then dove and caught Vee with a tornado DDT, but that wasn’t enough to keep the champ down either. If anything, it only pissed her off more, her offense becoming more aggressive and ruthless. Walker could take a beating, weathering another storm and once again finding an opening with a throat jab followed by a jawbreaker. With the opponent down, he attempted a springboard moonsault but once again the count stopped right before the three. He let his frustration getting the best of him, first yelling at the referee and then by laying down a series of stomps to Valkyrie’s head. He mumbled something about showing her hardcore right before leaving the ring, grabbing a steel chair and unleashing hell on the Chicago Way champion. The DQ was automatic, but if he wanted to send a message with his actions, he very much did it. WINNER: Valkyrie BY: DQ, 6:09 |
Singles Match
Jasper King VS "Masterclass" Faith SavellTwo former Gold Star students, although from different classes, met in the ring tonight in Surat. Two different styles, Jasper’s power against Faith’s speed were the ingredients for a really interesting match-up. The Masterclass came into this match with a gameplan, to work on Jasper’s legs, notably a weak point of big guys like him. She chopped him down with hard and precise kicks to the hamstring, forcing the King Of Pumpkins down to one knee. Then with a swift roundhouse she knocked him flat on her back and quickly grabbed his massive legs and put him in an ankle lock, but Jasper easily reached the ropes. She didn’t let go of him immediately, fully exploiting the five count much to the disappointment of the fans, firmly behind the Year Two graduate. A reputation Jasper had earned thanks to his positive personality, of course, but also by always playing it fair and by the rules, something that clearly wasn’t in Faith’s DNA. She took every shortcut she could find, cut every corner and used every trick her brother and sister must have taught her in order to keep the advantage on King. But eventually Jasper was able to build some momentum, and things started to look real bad for Faith. He just tossed her around the ring with extreme ease, almost getting a count out win when he lifted her over his head with a military press and launched the Masterclass into the front row. She barely made it back inside the ring moments before the ten, only to eat a powerbomb she, somehow, managed to survive. Some might call it an upset, but King was earning his stripes tonight in that ring with a solid performance against the former Cloud Gate Champion. Faith was in great difficulty, completely at Jasper's mercy for the past two minutes, unable to find a way to turn things around. But it’s in moments like this that true talent comes out and, like her or not, Faith had plenty of that. She managed to land on her feet off a german suplex and quickly hit Jasper with a dropkick to the knee. As the big guy fell down, she immediately locked in a knee bar, leaving him no chance but to tap out. WINNER: Faith Savell BY: Submission (knee bar), 9:51 |
The sound of an empty can clattering down the table and landing in a recycling trash can is heard firstly at Millennium's latest event. Walking around the corner with authority is Bree Smith who's carrying the Lockdown title by the strap. She's in all black gear this evening. Shorts and the top in a sleek black, her ponytail wrapped in a white scrunchy. The Breehemoth's muscles on show and catching a few glances of a few different people.
She's joined by her agent Vance, who's walking fast to keep up with his client
Vance:
Champ, looking good. You've got that intensity in your eye like a challenger has.
Bree Smith
Oh I've been waiting for this. I don't believe Karen deserves to challenge for the belt, I've made that crystal clear. So I'm going to knock her right out, and knock her out of the running for my title permanently.
Bree Smith
Vance:
We all know that, now you just gotta show them, show the people you're gonna drag her around the ring to win it.
Bree Smith
Pfft. I may just powerbomb her into oblivion. She's a straight up cheater in this business. No way am I going to let her have this.
Bree pulls the breaks on their walk
Bree Smith
I worked my butt off for years to climb up to win this title. Just cus she's a jealous cougar, she doesn't get a run with my Lockdown title. Nu uh. No way. I'm ready to clothesline Karen into the Upside Down and leave her there.
Vance:
Miss Lariat, could be a new nickname for you.
Vance made a note in his phone
Bree Smith
Might work. I'll hit so many, this arm will be covered by that cheap makeup she plasters on herself before every scheme she runs to make whoever's day a little bit worse.
Vance:
Just remember don't let her in your head. Game face. You're going out with that title. Come back with it yeah? Don't let her sucker you into some trick house mind game.
Bree takes a small pause and a deep breath. She then picks the Lockdown Championship to hold it in her hands.
Bree Smith
I won't. I know what she's capable of. Trying every trick in the book to get what she wants. I know and she knows that I've got her beat on stamina, strength and speed. All she's got is a ruse to play and I'm wrestling cautiously. As satisfying as it'll be to wreck her, it's not worth losing this.
Vance:
Perfectly said.
He asked before taking the title and drapes it over her shoulder.
Bree Smith
I'll check back with you later...as you can hear. I'm up next, Dude!
Bree says patting Vance on his shoulder as she passed him, walking with authority and a smile on her face as the screen goes black.
Lockdown Championship Match
Bree's Rule: Gym Strap match
Bree Smith © VS Karen EldonBree's Rule: Gym Strap match
Karen complained A LOT about this match, even to the referee as he linked her to Bree with the gym strap, reminding them of the rules. As soon as the bell rang, she turned around and ran toward the corner. Bree just shook her head and yanked the rope, causing Karen to fall on her rear. The champ wasted no time and charged in, kicking Eldon in the back. While the two time tag champion arched her back in pain, Bree touched the first corner. She would reach the second as well, leveling Karen with a clothesline before going for the third. Eldon finally figured out how to explore the rules and rolled out of the ring, running away to stop the blonde champion. As Bree fell on the canvas, mere inches away from the corner, Karen yanked the strap and pulled the champ out of the ring, charging her at full speed and delivering a big boot to the face. With the champ down, Karen entered the ring and went to touch the first post, soon realizing that the strap could only stretch that much, and she would never be able to go around the ring with her opponents laid down outside it. We all knew there was no love lost between them but this was by far the most violent of Bree’s defenses so far. As she was making another attempt at touching the four corners, Karen felt the champion pulling toward herself. The former tag champion tried to resist, hanging onto the ropes. but the opponent was much stronger than her and despite her desperate hanging onto the protective pad, she was soon pulled into the first of three German Suplexes for a full display of the Power Of Bree. The match continued, Karen tried to choke out her opponent a few times, Bree seemed to be enjoying a little too much flogging Karen with the gym strap, and the fans loved it too. They grew to hate the ending though, as it involved Karen’s purse and whatever Eldon was hiding inside it, something heavy enough to knock down Smith. It was pretty much a victory lap for Karen, and she took her sweet time doing it, replying with a cocky smile to shower of boos she was receiving. Perhaps she took a little too long, as Bree picked herself up before she could touch all four corners. But Karen had someone watching her back, someone who didn’t hesitate to knock Smith down once again with a brutal chair shot to the back, allowing Eldon to complete her round. The only person the MWE fans hate as much as Karen, if not more. Olly. WINNER: Karen Eldon (NEW LOCKDOWN CHAMPION) BY: Four Corners Touched, 11:33 |
Tag Team Match
APE (Duke Andrews & Alan Envy) VS Chris Constantine Jr. & Marshall Smith
Ever since CCJ returned people have wondered if they'll ever get to see the Showdown between him and his former APE associates. Any doubt disappeared after the events happened at the Maldives, when CCJ got physically involved and helped Marshall get the win and that Riot championship shot. Alan didn’t take it well and called his partner in crime and brother in Christ, Duke Andrews. The match started with the two former World champions squaring off, settling their differences in a hard hitting back and forth that covered the first five minutes of the match. No pinning predicament was attempted from either of them. Their focus was on hurting each other, on proving to be better than the opponent. Even when he knocked Andrews down with a roaring elbow, Chris would rather stomp the living hell out of Duke rather than trying to get the count of three. The same happened when Andrews connected his Red, White And Blue Combo, knocking Constantine down. He immediately picked him up and hung him upside down in the corner in the infamous tree of woe position, following with a series of kicks to the chest. With either of them too proud to take a step back and tag out, this could only end in one way, with a double big boot that floored both contestants. For Marshall, this was just another match. For Envy, there was much more at stakes. He took what happened on the last show very personally, and while his main beef was with Constantine, he happily took it out on Smith while the former World champion recovered on the outside. He even scored the first bear fall of the match with a bicycle kick, but Marshal wasn't going down easily. The new number one contender to the Riot championship began to build momentum, slamming Alan on the canvas with a brutal spinebuster. Things didn't look good for the Lonestar, who was in desperate need of a tag. He struggled to find an opening, but eventually got the separation he needed with a wicked headbutt. When he got to his corner though, Duke left him high and dry. The Epitome Of Perfection just shook his head and told his (former) partner that he was on his own now. You can imagine what Alan's reaction was, but it didn't last long as he was quickly pushed into the ropes and launched in the air by Marshal, who then punched him mid-flight, knocking him out. Another victim of the Marshal Law, but before as the powerhouse was about to make the cover, Constantine called him and asked to be tagged in. Marshal shrugged his shoulders and obeyed, not quite sure why Chris wanted so desperately to get the pin. CCJ picked up Envy, mocked him a bit and then nailed him with the American Strong Piledriver, taking credit for the win. WINNER: Chris Constantine Junior & Marshal Smith BY: Pinfall (American Strong Piledriver), 10:40 |
Junior Heavyweight Championship Match
JJ Night © VS Abby Blake VS Rainer NordhagenOriginally, this was scheduled to be an affair between Abby and JJ, a rematch the blonde has earned winning the tag match during this summer show. That until Rainer used the shot granted by his Grade A contract (the top tier contract offered to the Academy Graduates who held the Gold Star during the year) to add his name to this match the cocky German-Australian taunted the opponents before the match started and received a double superkick to the mush for his troubles. The match then started with a high octane exchange between JJ and Abby. The two grew quite familiar to each other having crossed paths quite often in the past months, which allowed both of them to dodge most of the attacks. They couldn't avoid Nordhagen's double dropkick that caught them both off guard. The impact sent Blake out of the ring while Night got knocked down on the canvas, remaining at Rainer's mercy. The former Academy student was ruthless, the mean streak we saw from him since his rookie day in full effect tonight when he knew he couldn't get disqualified for trying to choke JJ on the ropes. After helping the champ getting rid of Rainer, Abby focused her attacks on JJ. She focused on ground work, trying to slow down the pace and limit the champion's offense. Night fed on the support of his fans, using that energy to get out of this complicated situation and turn the tides. And just like that we were back to that quick pace we witnessed at the beginning. Abby accepted to fight JJ on a ground he likely had the advantage, and she didn't look too shabby doing it. With moves like the always spectacular 720 headscissors takedown and the wheelbarrow facebuster, Abby came close to win her first MWE title, but JJ kicked out in time. Nobody was surprised to see Nordhagen spending the longest part of the match outside the ring and away from the heat of the battle, only to come back at the last moment and pick up the spoils of his opponent’s hard work. But seeing him picking up the win after Abby’s Fore connected on JJ by launching the blonde out of the ring and pinning the champion still upset the fans to no end. WINNER: Rainer Nordhagen (NEW JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION) BY: Pinfall (Fore), 13:37 |

Loser Leaves MWE
Morag Bean VS Ash FiLoser Leaves MWE
There's only room for one of the two former friends in the company. Morag has been working for MWE for a couple of years now, a career or ebbs and flows without quite leaving the mark. According to many, she just settled for average, more focused on bringing home a paycheck rather than taking her career to the next level. But tonight, average might not be enough: the Cannibal Queen must raise the bar and pull the best performance to keep her job. A true turning point for her, but for Ash as well, the opportunity of landing a contract wasn't one she wanted to miss. With the stakes so high, both brought their A Game, and if you looked at the intensity of their exchange, you wouldn't believe they used to be friends. Morag's fists were loaded with hatred, and this aggression caused her some trouble with the referee who warned her about using closed fists and forbid her to bite Ash. After taking a moment on the outside to regroup, Fi went back inside the ring and grabbed both of her opponent's feet, tripping her over with a double leg takedown. She quickly moved on top of her and unleashed a flurry of punches. This wasn't exactly the match you'd expect from them. Neither of them was going to take any chance just to awe the fans, not today. There was too much at stake and even the slightest mistake could cost big time, as Ash realized when her diving crossbody attempt was met with a dropkick. Morag tried to capitalize with her Abandoned Annie but Fi survived. The fans made clear who they were supporting, getting behind Ash and helping her turn the tides. Now that she was finally getting some wind behind her sails, Ash Fi became more confident, especially after getting a near fall off her Warp Spasm (cartwheel roundhouse kick). She showed off her arsenal, from the Wardra Rua (running crossbody to a seated opponent) to the Fairy Circle (single legged seatbelt toss), impressing the fans and leaving them wanting for more. And they definitely will see more of her, seeing how Ash got the win and the contract thanks to her Gae Bulg (Essex Destroyer), putting the final nail in the coffin of Morag's MWE career. WINNER: Ash Fi BY: Pinfall (Gae Bulg), 10:04 |
We then see something a little bit different…an office with a table decorated with a couple of binders, and the walls adorned with various championships and past accomplishments of Seth Iser. The man himself is sitting calmly at his desk, dressed smartly in that three piece suit he’s often wearing…a red and black variation this time. And he’s as if he's just sitting back on the chair there’s some moments of contemplation but it seems as if he’s at peace. The arms are slouched…relaxed, as he’s even leaning back slightly on the chair.
Seth Iser:
You got what you wanted in a way…
There’s a hint of him taunting with that voice as a smirk was there at the end, he even half chuckles to himself. The veteran just puts his hands together over his midsection, at absolute ease.
Seth Iser:
One of you getting a chance at a lifetime facing me…you wanting to make good whether it’s for a chance to increase your stock further from a professional sense or what Megan claims…a personal vendetta against me dating back years when her mentor repeated a mistake. But…after all of these things you were talking…trying to disparage me, my character…the moment I realized what needed to be done to address you two…and there’s not been a move from either of you.
He shakes his head for a moment as he reaches with his left hand over for the black binder specifically on his desk and pulls it a little closer to him. He doesn’t unveil it’s contents yet as he taps it with his left index finger.
Seth Iser:
An arrogant fool in my position would misconstrue it as fear…two people being afraid of what I’d do in that situation to you. It isn’t out of the realm of possibility when you consider my list of handiwork in scrambling up people’s heads and bringing their worst qualities to the front. I kind of…have an unfortunate habit of doing that. Doesn’t make me very well liked…but you can’t shield away the reality of a situation from someone like me.
And his eyes narrow ever so slightly and the slightest bit of tension comes across on his face. His tone even lowers slightly for just a moment.
Seth Iser:
I might have an ego…but I’m not an arrogant fool…I ruled that possibility out.
He lets that hang for just a second, again tapping that binder with his index finger as his face relaxes back to it’s previous state and the grey and black hair leans forward over said face for a brief moment as he leaned forward.
Seth Iser:
The second option…more plausible then the first one is you two want to play a waiting game with this old man. Something I’ve done to others in the past and you want to throw a book I’ve helped write for this game at me. It’d come across as knowing the notes but not the music if you pursued this route but considering you both spent time under me and Megan’s influence under Blyss…I didn’t discount that as a possibility. Hell, that woman literally took an alternative identity and I helped scheme her way to championship gold. Quite the…bad omen if you really want to think about all that entails for that…
A frown etched on Iser’s face as more noticeable tension comes out as he said that last line. He even pauses for a brief second as he considers this as a possibility before you see his face contort into something a little sour.
Seth Iser:
I put this one as unlikely…they were way too impulsive to get after me and even lost focus themselves trying to get after me when I wanted to take one actual vacation for my family…and thanks to those two tossers, not only did Allison have to be shown on television and she didn’t want to be on camera, I lost that damned fish I wanted to reel in…
He just shakes his head briefly as he stews over that for a second, his face lightening back up as he continues to think about things. His left hand finally spins that binder one hundred and eighty degrees before he peels open the contents and it does contain the paperwork for a contract for a match involving him.
Seth Iser:
But…I think not so much the fear of you playing the patient game so much as it’s the weight of what’s coming and you needing time to process it.
He has this smirk creeping back onto his face that is somehow both mischievous yet…malicious at the same time.
Seth Iser:
Yes…you’re trying to figure out a plan to get out of the consequences and advance your entire careers in one swoop…do it at my expense even. But I don’t even think either of you have fully worked out who wants to pull the trigger to face me yet…don’t worry I can afford to wait on this one. I have plenty of people who want to wrestle me and hell…I have gold I could win in one form or another while you two argue amongst yourselves who wants to make that plunge to try to fight off the consequences for your treachery.
The smirk is gone but soon replaced by the glare and then the echo of him slamming the binder shut with his non-dominant left hand as he pulls himself closer to the table.
Seth Iser:
I think deep down on both accounts you both also realized something else…your combined name of Manning…that last couple of years has helped leave it easy for you two. Easy enough that you haven’t truly considered…failure. You always had me to back you up or Blyss or somebody else to throw you a life line. Now you have that noose all to yourself…and it’s never been harder for either of you. To that…I say you wouldn’t have survived my path if this kind of adversity is making you second guess your thought process. You’re not afraid of me per say…that’s egotism, but you’re afraid of failure. You’re afraid of what that truly means rather than use it as an avenue to get better. Hell, you’re…afraid of the consequences. And deep down while you two are where you are right now…if you confront me head on…you’ll lose, and you both know it.
A calmness creeps onto Iser yet again as he leans back on his chair.
Seth Iser:
Until you kids find your courage…the name Manning will never…ever come close to what the name Iser is for professional wrestling. Even if you do I wouldn’t promise that what you’d want will come to pass, the wrestling industry is like that. I’m not above the industry…I helped write the book on a whole style of professional wrestling. For so many people, I AM the industry!. I’m the man who reveals your true self for better…and for worse.
Then there’s just a glare that oozes intimidation from the veteran and former world champion even as he sits back on that black office chair of his.
Seth Iser:
One way or another Megan…Pierce…I will be the avenue of this entire industry to humble both of your asses and there’s nothing anything you two can do…to stop that destiny.
Last Woman Standing Match
Darcy Graves VS Alex AndrewsAnother grudge match, the rubber match of a series started in another promotion and continued with the shocking and controversial win Darcy obtained in that 2 out of 3 falls match. For this one, the goal was to incapacitate the opponent for a count of ten, by all means. With weapons being allowed, it didn't take long for this match to go off the rails, and unsurprisingly it was Graves who introduced a steel chair into the match and to Alex' skull. The stipulation was, without a doubt, favoring Darcy, more accustomed to this kind of matches and, in general, to break the rules. Not to mention how this allowed her to take out all her frustrations and the hatred toward Andrews without worrying about a disqualification. She tried to choke the former Riot champion with both hands, but Alex managed to move her legs under Grave's body and push upwards, getting out of the predicament. She was still catching her breath when Darcy blasted her with a brutal running knee to the head, instantly knocking her down. It took her a count of six to get up to her feet. Alex knew this one would be tough, but she didn't expect to be put through a table by Graves. As painful as this experience was, it wasn't enough to keep her down. She dished out her fair share of punishment as well, although for some reason she didn't seem too fond of using weapons, limiting it to the bare minimum. Eventually, though, she had to resort to them when neither the Elysium nor the Queen’s End could keep Darcy down for the count of ten. Graves had pulled out all sorts of objects, planning on using them to hurt Andrews. And now, it all could turn against her. There was a chain, a kendo stick and even a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, but Alex just went for a classic and versatile chair. The two first shots hit nothing but thin air, and as she swung the third, Graves kicked her in the stomach causing Andrews to drop the chair on the floor. And onto that the former Riot champion got planted with a quick ddt. Getting up was a bit harder for her, taking a whole eight seconds to even get to a seated position. Darcy wasn’t taking any chances and she was ready to put Alex down with a baseball shot, but Andrews reached and grabbed the chair, driving it in the opponent’s mid section. She used the same chair to push herself to her feet and immediately slammed it on Darcy’s skull, dropping her down to her knees. The chair was still hanging around her head and Andrews didn’t think twice before hitting her with the Brain Death (scorpion kick) onto the chair. And from that, there was no getting up. WINNER: Alex Andrews BY: Last Woman Standing (Brain Death), 13:29 |

As you can see, we have REAL champions standing before you, not the frauds who pathetically carry the MWE tag team banner right now. Bad and Boujee are cheaters, they are underhanded liars who do not deserve to be MWE World Tag Team Champions. Summer and Jessica, on the other hand, have earned every piece of championship gold they have ever won. They will once again be MWE World Tag Team Champions as soon as Bad and Boujee get the guts to give them a title match. Unless they choke later on tonight and lose to the Murder City Saints. I hear they are good at choking.
He smirks.
Summer Collins
On one side you have Matt Stone who lost the Intercontinental Title, failed to win the world title, and now is going to enter the tag team division in an attempt to salvage his credibility as a major player. Sorry Matty, but you and Veronica are barking up the wrong tree. This tag team division belongs to us. Tag team wrestling belongs to Jess and Summer. Unlike the two of you, who are throwing shit at a wall hoping something will stick, we have been tag team wrestling for ten years.
Collins holds up five fingers.
Summer Collins
We have been tag team champions five separate times together between here and GCW. Do you have that same kind of experience? I didn’t think so.
Jessica Lasiewicz
Leia and Bebe, what can I say? At least you two are family. At least you two have chemistry going for you. I can honestly say that Summer and I respect you two a hell of a lot more than Matty and Veronica. But that’s all I can say and honestly, that’s not saying much. Because at the end of the day you are not absolutely Fabulous. You are not the tag team specialists that we are. And like PCP, you are just an obstacle in our path towards regaining the MWE World Tag Team Championship.
Leviticus:
Ladies and gentlemen, you are looking at tag team greatness. You are looking at the beginning of a new age and a new reign of Fabulous here in MWE. Summer and Jessica will take care of business tonight, they will earn their tag team title opportunity, and they will once again become champions…by any means necessary. And it will be absolutely Fabulous!
Tag Team Match
PCP VS Fabulous VS Leia LeBeau & Bebe LeBeau
Unpredictable and chaotic, this was the type of match the fans would love, even though they didn’t really have a favorite in it. Matt Stone and Veronica Sawyer never really made a connection with the MWE fanbase, and they didn’t seem to particularly care about it. Fabulous have kinda fallen from the fans’ graces in recent times and while Bebe LeBeau could boast a truly enviable following that even grew after her graduation from The Academy, the shenanigans she and Leia have been known to use to win their matches certainly didn’t earn any sympathy. But this fight right here managed to keep the fans on the edge of their seats with its frantic pace and the continuous back and forth. The referee had his work cut out counting the numerous and frequent pinning attempts and trying to keep the illegal men and women from interfering. Matt started to show signs of frustration when two of his pin attempts on Bebe got interrupted, the first one by Leia and the second one by Summer and Jessica. He complained with the referee, inviting him to do his job which sounded a tad hypocritical when, one minute later, he did the same thing to save Sawyer from Lasiewicz’ Our Lady Peace. In a vibrant and ever-changing scene like the MWE tag team division, every win counts to climb the ranks, but the feeling that this match mattered a bit more than the others was hard to shake off. The six competitors involved must’ve felt the same way, leaving everything in that ring. Of all the teams, Fabulous was by far the one with the greatest experience, and it showed as they looked in control as the match drew to an end. With quick tags, Jessica and Summer isolated the less experienced of their opponents, Bebe, putting her through some of their most famous tag moves. They gave her the Golden Kiss Of Death, but Sawyer was there in time to make the save. The Canadian then tagged herself in and single handedly took care of the former champions, who began to show the first signs of fatigue. Matt watched from his Farber, ready to jump into action in case of need, like he did when Ronnie tried to pin Jessica after a corkscrew neckbreaker. He was able to stop Summer from breaking up the pin but he couldn't do the same with Bebe. Things got a bit out of hand there as Bebe cheekily pushed the Abominable Showman into Collins, ducking Matt's following clothesline and causing him to hit his own partner! In all that, Jessica slowly picked herself up and stumbled back, closer to the LeBeau's corner. Leia tagged herself in and immediately charged toward the opposite corner, delivering the Jet City Jive to Veronica. Bebe pushed Matt out of the way and made sure her sister would pick up a huge win. WINNER: Leia LeBeau & Bebe LeBeau BY: Pinfall (Jet City Jive), 14:26 |
Nothing but darkness…
And the background noise of the feedback loop that almost blends into the silence.
Then, suddenly
A shrilllllllll scream from seemingly out of nowhere. From some, it’s a look of terror, unsure of what exactly is going on. Is it some sort of murder in the darkness? Is there a crime to behold? Quick, somebody find the lights and make sure that whoever let out that scream is still alive, please for the love of God!
The opening is a familiar one, but the opening hasn’t been used in many years now. Those who watched Revo know it all too well, and thus, aren’t surprised when the Murder City Saints are the first line of vision we are privy too. Of course, things have changed, but some things will always remain the same. RAZE was still a physical specimen halfway out of his mind, and Wade was still cold, calculated. Together, they would always be murder.
MANSON:
It’s been a while since you’ve seen us like this, hasn’t it? These are the type of men we used to be, and even though we’ve evolved into The Uncalled Four, into The Division, we still know a thing or two about putting teams six feet under. We’ve only grown stronger, faster, and dare I say, better. RAZE came in here on his own accord, so you may know him as a singles competitor, but we figured you all needed a reminder of our tag dominance prior to Millenium. Together, we are destruction.
Wade reaches over and smacks RAZE on the chest. In the past, he’d never be found saying more than a few words. Oh how things had changed.
RAZE:
Since coming to MWE, I’ve only dominated. Everyone placed in front of me has felt the rock that is my fist, hitting them square in the face. How many were able to get back up? Devin Hearst, Billy Danielson, Andrew Raynes, the list goes on. Those were SINGLES matches. MWE, just imagine the kind of damage that can be done. You’ve seen it outside of the ring, The Uncalled Four and The Division have owned the summer, and now we’ll stamp our seal on this place permanently!
RAZE looked just as hungry as ever, you could see it in his eyes.
MANSON:
Bad and Boujee, you got a small taste of that power at Sharm El-Sheik didn’t you? RAZE gave Aliyah that oh so dangerous Atomic Bomb, and I made sure Annica wasn’t going to slide in and cause anything funny. Now your titles are on the line, what are you going to do when the big bad men come for you? It’s been too long since the Murder City Saints held tag gold, and I’m thinking NOW is the right time.
RAZE ran his index finger across his neck, his eyes narrowing in on the camera in front of him. Wade smirks at the aggression of his partner. It’s the last thing we see as the scene fades.
MWE Tag Team Championship Match
Bad & Boujee VS Murder City Saints
Needles to say, the fans were 100% rooting for the twins. Nobody wanted to see the Murder City Saints aka The Uncalled Four aka The Division walk away with the gold, less so seeing how they already have Julian holding the Briefcase, a golden ticket for the World Title. Speaking of Savell, his shadow was looming over this match. He may not have said it, he may not have shown his face around tonight, but you can bet he was back there ready to help his boys. And still, Alyiah and Annica didn't seem to give it too much weight, there was no point in wrapping your head before you hurt it. And seeing how the match started, RAZE and Manson may not even need Julian's help. The duo pummeled Annica, isolating her from her sister and constantly legally double teaming her, using quick tags to keep the numerical advantage. This was a reminder to everyone of how good a tag team they were, and that they can still dominate any tag division like they did back in the [R]evo days. To turn things around, the twins had to resort to one of their tricks, the infamous switch. The referee didn’t see it, RAZE did and so did the fans. And they loved it. It was a completely different match now that Aliyah was in the ring. Her freshness allowed her to dodge RAZE's frustrated attacks and send him sitting on the floor with a spinning headscissor. The tag champion followed with a shining wizard, obtaining a count of two. The fans here in India will talk about this match for quite some time. The titles almost changed hands when Wade connected his Decapitator Kick on Aliyah, and even to this day people are still wondering how she was able to kick out of it. But you can never count Bad & Boujee out, and the twins managed to turn things around. With an enziguri kick, Aliyah got rid of Manson and headed toward her sister. RAZE entered the ring and tried to stop her from making the tag with a German suplex, but Greene landed on her feet. RAZE was now between her and her corner though, she had to figure out a way to get past him and do it quickly, before Wade Manson recovered from the kick. And that she did, sliding between the Brit’s legs and making the tag to Annica who quickly climbed to the top rope, taking out the member of the Division with a diving crossbody. Manson was back to his feet but he quickly got put back down by a dropsault. Annica was on fire tonight, holding her ground and giving her sister time to recover. And when she did, things took a bad turn for the Uncalled Four. Nobody was shocked to see Julian Savell walking out at this point, ready to use the briefcase to change the match into something that would favor his boys and help them get the win. The real surprise was seeing Melissa Reeves running down the ramp and tackling Savell to the ground. Julian’s bodyguard immediately picked Reeves up and threw her into the barricade, but the Australian’s intervention stopped Julian’s from using the briefcase and gave Aliyiah to drop Wade with a DDT and finish him with her Barbie Tingz to retain the titles. Olly:
Kinda creepy, isn't it?
The video was recorded the night before the biggest match of his young career. The eerie location was the same he will be fighting Devin Hearst in, the Dumas beach in Surat.
Olly:
There's a spooky story about this place. I don't know if you heard it, but I think it's the reason why management brought us in this God's forsaken place. Why else would be in India, if not to add some mystique to our match?
The former Academy student crouched to pick up some of the characteristic black sand in his fist. Standing up again, he slowly opened his hand, letting the wind take the sand away.
Olly:
This place was a Hindi burial ground, a crematorium. They say that's why the beach is black, becauase of the ashes mixing up with the golden sand. They say you can hear ghosts and spirits haunting the shoreline, they say that if you spend the night here, you won't leave the same person you were before.
He let out a light chuckle.
Olly:
Personally, I think it's all bullshit. I don't believe in ghosts or any of that paranormal crap, I've been here for a few hours and the scariest thing I've seen was that fat Jasper kid devouring a sandwich. But I know that after spending tomorrow night here, I will leave a changed man.
The camera followed him as he walked down the beach. After a few long moments of silence, Olly spoke again.
Olly:
It doesn't matter to them that I'm a two time tag team champion, holding the record for the longest title reign. They don't take me seriously despite going toe to toe with some of the best this company has, they see me as an "all talk no walk" kind of guy. After I bury you tomorrow, that perception will change forever. When people look at me, they will no longer see the brash kid from the Academy they still see today. They will see the man who ended Devin Hearst's career.
His strolling across the beach brought him to the location where, in less than 24 hours, he will fight the former MWE World champion, Devin Hearst. The grave has already been dug, Olly walked to the edge and looked inside of it.
Olly:
You gave a lot to this business and, believe it or not, I learned a lot from you. But this is an ungrateful business, you know it better than I do. One day the cheer you, the next you're public enemy number one. One day you're friend with someone and the next they stab your back. And those you identified as the "new you", as the one who could carry your legacy, so to speak, will be the one putting you in the dirt.
Rest In Peace, Devin.
Foreshadowing what he hoped he will do tomorrow, Olly grabbed the shovel and tossed some ground in the grave. On that spooky image, the camera cut to black.
Buried Alive Match
Devin Hearst VS OllyThe full moon illuminating the night sky, the empty grave waiting for one of these competitors, the shovel wedged into the black sand of the Dumas Beach… The atmosphere was quite spooky as it was, even without Olly digging up the place’s buried (pun intended) and creepy history. Definitely an interesting setting for the most anticipated match of the Summer Tour, the last one too. This wasn’t just a clash between two different generations, although Olly made it clear that this was his time to shine and “relics like Hearst should come to peace with the fact that they’re past their expiration date”. It was deeper than that, it was almost personal. Remember when Hearst chose Olly as his tag partner? He could have picked anyone, in MWE or anywhere else, and yet he chose him. Some saw that as a sign of respect, not really something Devin Hearst was known to give away so easily, if not at all. Furthermore, there was a lot of the young Hearst in the former Academy student, and you have to believe that Hearst saw that too, and maybe wanted to step in and become that mentor figure for Olly, passing the torch in a way. But the Academy graduate had other plans, as the Seven Headed Beast learned on his skin. Nobody was expecting a wrestling match, not with those premises. This was about to be remembered as one of the most brutal matches in the company history, the ring only served as the starting point of an all out fight. No shot was forbidden, no road too low to be taken by neither of them. Olly didn’t hesitate kicking Devin between the legs before planting him on his head with a DDT. He went to pick up the former World Champion, mocking and laughing at him as he yanked his hair and pulled him up. Hearst grabbed a handful of sand and shoved it on Olly’s face, in his eyes and mouth as well. Temporarily blinded and coughing the sand out of his mouth, the two-time tag champion couldn’t avoid the Big Boss’ closed right fist or the following spear that put him through a beach chair. The silver lining in crashing through the wooden chair was that Olly could now grab a piece of it and smack his opponent’s skull with it, frustrating his attempt to drag him closer to the grave. Blood inevitably began to flow, and soon both men were wearing crimson masks. Not even that could slow them down or bring down the intensity they both put into mauling the opponent. The referee tried to step in a couple of times, if anything to remind them that the stipulation of the match literally said “Buried ALIVE”. Telling that as Hearst was trying to drown Olly in the Arabian Sea seemed like a good idea, but the former World champion didn’t appreciate the interruption; if look could kill, we would need a new referee. Olly exploited that brief distraction to throw his arm back, catching Hearst on the side of the head and get away from his grasp. He followed with the For Your Mom spear, tackling Devin on the shoreline. The momentum of the fight brought them closer to the grave. The tension was at an all time high as the two brawled near the edge of the hole that soon will swallow one of them. A brutal shovel shot to Olly’s head was the turning point of the contest, ending a seemingly endless back and forth between the two. With blood pouring from the side of his head, the young man fell on his knees. Hearst looked down to him, Olly looked up to the Big Boss and, defiant till the very end, spat toward him. Devin didn’t even flinch, grabbing a handful of Olly’s black hair to pull him up. How he did it, where he found the strength, nobody could tell. But somehow Olly gathered his last energy to low blow the veteran and pick him up over his shoulders. An impressive feat of strength, more so considering everything he had been through. Born To Lose (fireman’s carry into a knee strike), dropping Hearst right into the grave. After the feat of strength, Olly collapsed to the ground, needing some time to recover before even being able to stand up and begin to bury his opponent. Luckily for him, Hearst was in an even worse shape down the pit. Picking up the shovel, Olly slowly began to throw dirt into the grave, burying Devin Hearst and picking up the greatest win in his career. WINNER: Olly BY: Buried Alive, 27:09 |
