MWE Summer Beach Tour: Maldives
Live from Hulhumale Beach in Kaafu Atoll, Maldives
Sunday, August 28th, 2022
Earlier in The Day
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page is on her yacht that is docked at Hulhumale Beach. She is sitting on the deck drinking a bottle of water.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
As you might be able to tell I am traveling with 130 pounds less excess baggage than I have been for quite awhile. I got rid of Meg Coleman’s ass because she has proven herself to be quite useless. She went on cruise control once we became MWE World Tag Team Champions and she allowed me to be jumped by the troll of MWE that lives under the bridge with her thirty prepubescent boyfriends and she never redeemed herself so she had to go.
Tiffany takes off her sunglasses and sets them on the table next to her water.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
Now that I am fully recovered from said attack I can get back down to business. Of course my man is working on getting his World Heavyweight Championship back. I need to get my mojo back because I still want what I came to MWE for. Of course I am talking about the MWE Jr. Heavyweight Championship. The amount of gutter trash that has held this championship is utterly disgusting. JJ, be grateful that I put this Jr Heavyweight title on the backburner while I recovered but I’m back and it is now time for you to bow down to those of us that are greater than you. You can rest assured that I will be seeing you sooner rather than later. As far as tonight’s big Fatal Fourway match goes…Well, I know I am going to be opposed by some pretty high caliber ladies but let's be real ladies none of you are going to outshine me. I mean sure Betsy and Crystal sure you two might have done a thing or two in this business but you can’t be delusional enough to think you are better than me, Get real ladies. As far as Erika goes, girl, the best thing you ever did was escape your mother’s womb. So you’ll obviously be a pushover.
Tiffany devilishly grins.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
Speaking of that clown ass troll mother of Erika’s. Karen, I hope you’re enjoying this Summer because by the end of 2022 I will get your ass. When and where…well you’ll just have to find out but you’ll find out way too late.
Tiffany notices somebody walking on the dock past her yacht. Tiffany stands up and starts walking toward the dock. She sees fellow MWE wrestler Luna walking by.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
Luna?
Luna stops and looks over at Tiffany.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
Girl, you have a moment to talk? If you do please hop on board.
Luna thinks about it for a moment and gets on Tiffany’s yacht.
Four Way Match
Betsy Gallagher VS Crystal Zdunich VS Tiffany Lynn-Page VS Erika EldonThe New Zealand fans would agree that this was a great way to start the match. Fast paced action, hungry competitors and the right amount of animosity, especially between Tiffany and Karen’s daughter.. It looked like, unable to get her hands on the former tag champion, Page was now going to make her child pay, focusing her attacks on the Academy graduate. That mistake almost cost her the match as she got planted on her skull by Betsy’s British End II. The English woman controlled the majority of the match, pulling one of her best performances since coming to MWE. She obtained two more near falls, scoring at least one on every opponent. Crystal barely kicked out from the Regal Knee, Erika got obliterated by the Betsy Bomb, but Tiffany was there to make the save just in the nick of time. Erika showed that she really was her mother’s daughter, resorting to any trick in the book to achieve what would’ve been a huge win for her. Unfortunately for her, none of those shortcuts led her to the victory, although that roll up with a handful of trunks on Zdunich got really close. If we had to pick someone who underperformed, that would be Christina. The veteran didn’t do much to stand out, and often found herself laying on the floor, favorite target of the other competitors’ attacks. She took a Queen’s Lariat from Gallagher who then called for a second Betsy Bomb, hoping this one would get her that win to put her career back on track. She counted Tiffany out too soon, the former Tag Team champion was only pretending to be out. As soon as she saw what was happening, she stood to her feet and knocked Gallagher down with a jumping knee to the back of the head. Her focus then shifted to the groggy Zdunich, who got hit with the Sex In The City (codebreaker) and pinned for the three count. WINNER: Tiffany Lynn-Page BY: Pinfall (Sex In The City), 8:03 |
Singles Match
West Long VS Nine van der HoekDon’t let the size difference fool you. West was much bigger than the Frisian Demon, but after the very first part of the match where the Warwolf was able to impose his physicality and toss the young woman around, the match basically became a showcase of Nine’s amazing skills. The New Problem soon grounded the behemoth with a drop toe hold, immediately getting to her feet to blast him with a shining wizard to the back of the head as he bounced off the canvas. The blow rattled West’s brain, making it easier for the Dutch to wear him down by cutting the supply of oxygen to his brain with a rear naked choke. Her attempt at choking the big man out continued with various submissions, a glimpse on the Frisian Demon’s wide repertoire. The monologue was interrupted by a buckle bomb with which Long freed himself from a triangle choke, opening the way to a short comeback culminating in a big boot that gave him a near fall. He couldn’t build any momentum though, as the Leader Of The Band Of Nine soon took him off his legs with a low dropkick. And back to the infinite series of submission holds, this time targeting the leg of the Warwolf, coming close to the tap out win with an elaborate knee bar. She didn’t have to wait too long to get her arm raised in victory, barely the time to put him in her patented figure four necklock known as Old Honor to pick up a huge and impressive win that would cement her as a threat to anyone in MWE. WINNER: Nine van der Hoek BY: Submission (Old Honor), 7:14 |
Singles Match
Billy Danielson VS Tank SteinerThere was definitely some mutual respect between the two. ratified by a handshake to begin the match. But after the initial courtesy things got serious and the two started trading rights in the middle of the ring. All those who loved a hard hitting contest without too many frills, and judging by the noise there were plenty of them gathered here tonight, were in for a real treat. Neither Billy nor Tank were giving up an inch, there was no holding back as those violent blows kept flying back and forth. Nobody really got the upper hand, or rather both did at alternate times, but everytime someone knocked the other down, they quickly came up for more and, somehow, managed to turn the tides. After roughly five minutes where nobody was able to take control, the momentum seemed to lean on Herr Steiner’s side as he finally managed to get Billy in the corner. Everybody knew what was coming next, including Danielson. Unfortunately, he couldn’t do much to avoid the terrific open hand chop that crushed his chest, taking his breath away. The following set of knife edge chops tore the skin off his chest, leaving the Franchise with an ugly bruise across his pecs. That wasn’t even the worst part as soon after that he walked right into a massive Austrian suplex that almost took him out. Almost. If there’s one thing Billy showed here more than anywhere else, that would be his ability to take a beating, to weather the storm and wait for his opportunity to strike, and tonight was no different. Once again stuck in the corner, he ducked another chop, causing Tank’s hand to collide with the turnbuckle. After finally taking down the big man with hard kicks to the thighs, Danielson proceeded to stomp on his hand a couple of times, de facto taking out the opponent’s most temible weapon. After coming close to the win with his patented Thinning The Herd (Rko), Billy realized that, in the shape he was in after surviving the beatdown, he wouldn’t be able to lift Steiner for his finishing maneuver. He still found a creative way to get the W, battering the Austrian with an impressive series of Chicago Blackouts in the corner. WINNER: Billy Danielson BY: Pinfall (Chicago Blackout), 11:29 |
We are live here at the Hulhumale Beach show in the Maldives as we find Karen Eldon traversing the beach in a two piece swimsuit with a matching floral robe over top. Seeming to be busy looking at her phone until she sees Gabriel Landry standing by talking to a few members of the crew for the night. Suddenly she looks around like she is searching for someone.
Karen Eldon:
Olly! Olly!
Karen yells out for her tag partner, but clearly is just trying to get Gabriel’s attention. Wrapping up with the staff members he walks over to her.
Gabriel Landry:
Hey babe, are you looking for Olly?
Pretending like she was oblivious to him standing there she turns to him, with a bit of an unwelcoming scowl.
Karen Eldon:
Yeah…I am looking for Olly. You see, I need to talk to him about being there to support me in Surar against Bree. Because…SOMEONE has decided that he likes Bree and I equally….
Gabriel folds his arms into his chest. He raises an eyebrow.
Gabriel Landry:
You mean support as in helping you beat Bree?
Karen glares as she looks at Gabriel.
Karen Eldon:
As in being their supporting me as my boyfriend!
Gabe sighs.
Gabriel Landry:
I don't understand why you're doubting me. Of course I support you. Why do I need to be at ringside? Wouldn't it be better winning your first singles championship on your own? People online are already trying to paint this situation as a bizarre love triangle. This match doesn't need my presence to add to that.
Not seeming happy with him at all for mentioning any sort of love triangle she glares at him.
Karen Eldon:
There wouldn't be any rumors of a love triangle if you didn't go around talking up my enemies. Now this is only going to make it worse. How is it going to look. Everyone seeing my boyfriend doesn't care enough about me to be there ringside to celebrate my victory.
Karen shakes her head and takes a deep breath, literally putting her foot down.
Karen Eldon:
Either you are there for me ringside or…we are through. Because I want a boyfriend that will always support me. Like I always support you.
Gabriel’s eyes widened at Karen even uttering the words ‘we are through.’ A look of sadness flashes on his face.
Gabriel Landry:
Don’t say that. Karen...
Gabriel grabs her hand.
Gabriel Landry:
You knew the type of person I was when we first met. I’m just a simple guy from the midwest who believes in doing the right thing. And me staying out of this is what I feel is right. Unsure what Bree did to become your enemy, lets be honest, most of the people in MWE are your enemy, if that’s the case I won’t have any friends if you're that stubborn about this.
Gabriel sighs. He pulls back his hand.
Gabriel Landry:
If supporting you means compromising my beliefs, guess your decision is made? Do what you need to do. I won’t stop you. Not like I can anyway. Remember I love you, Karen.
Gabriel kisses her on the cheek.
Gabriel Landry:
I was naive to believe this would last forever...is that your decision? You want to end this?
Gabriel lowers his head obviously emotionally torn up over what he fears is about to happen next.
Karen Eldon:
I don't want it to end. But I want you there supporting me. I won't ask you to do anything but support me after I beat her. But I want you there at ringside, you don't have to get involved. I promise. I just want you there so I know you are in my corner…And not hers.
Gabriel lifts his head up.
Gabriel Landry:
Ok. I’ll be there.
A smile forms on his face. And an even bigger one forms on Karen's as she wraps her arms around his neck.
Karen Eldon:
I knew you'd come through! Love you babe! And just because we aren't wrestling tonight, doesn't mean we can't get some cardio in.
Karen winks and then pulls him into a kiss, as she tugs him away as Gabriel follows with a grin on his face, though the fans are likely groaning as the happy couple walks off.
Tag Team Match
Emma Wakefield & Evelyn Carter VS Leia LeBeau & Bebe LeBeau
Evelyn and Emma were quite familiar with each other and with one of their opponents, having shared with Bebe eight months in the Academy. No surprises then seeing how they knew her style to a T, countering almost every move she performed with the result of frustrating the former camera girl. With the former Intercontinental champion, instead, it was a different story. The experience gap was a huge advantage for Leia who scored the first near fall of the match with a crane kick on Carter. Vi and Emma could count on a great chemistry, even superior to that of the two sisters who were clearly still working on it. Working together, the two girls turned the tides of the match, planting the older LeBeau on her head with a double ddt. They followed with a standing moonsault/somersault leg drop combination. Bebe, in this case, saved her sister from what could've been a three count. The fans seemed to have taken their side, cheering loudly for Evelyn and Emma who seemed to feed on that, gaining confidence as the match went on. The duo impressed with their quick offense and the fast pace they kept for the whole match, coming so close to their first win as a team on several occasions. But in the end they came up short, paying for their inexperience. Evelyn had pushed Leia chest-first into the corner, but rather than following up with her attack she stopped, expressing concern for the possibly injured opponent. Needless to say, Leia’s complaints and her lamented struggle to breath were just a ploy to buy herself some time to untie the protective pad from the top turnbuckle. In the blink of an eye, she hammered Carter with an elbow to the face and slammed her face against the exposed steel, quickly rolling her up for a three count. WINNER: Leia LeBeau & Bebe LeBeau BY: Pinfall (Roll-Up), 9:22 |
We open in a parking lot area. Fans are gathered outside for the MWE event. But the fans suddenly start to scatter when a loud screeching sound is heard. The screeching is from a DeLorean that comes speeding into view from the left. The DeLorean comes to a screeching halt in the center of the screen. Both sides open up and first Kimberly Williams hops out of the driver’s side; she is dressed in torn denim jeans, black boots, a crimson red t-shirt, and a white lab coat. She is wearing a wild white wig. Her new animatronic friend, Velociraptor Blue, steps out from the other side.
Kimberly Williams:
We have arrived, Marty! We have made it…BACK TO THE FUTURE!
Velociraptor Blue:
First off, my name aint no damn Marty! That is the stupidest fuckin’ name I ever heard! Where’d ya pull that name out of, yer ass? Second, where is that Annie Daniels chick? She is one fine piece of ass and you promised me I’d get to spank that ass if I came along with ya on this stupid road trip.
Williams sighs.
Kimberly Williams
For the purposes of this evening you are Marty McFly, you are my trusty assistant as we experiment with time travel. It is important that you play this role to perfection for three reasons. First reason is because we did travel back in time. I found out about this match in September! But this is August! TIME TRAVEL! And the second reason, you know who we’re facing? Freaking Time Lords! As in The Lords of Time! As in…
Velociraptor Blue:
Yeah, yeah, I get it. What’s yer third reason for dragging me along?
Kimberly Williams
I need you because that stupid tin can is here tonight. That stupid Dalek has gone haywire ever since Jacky and Annie arrived. I don’t need that rusty glitch machine getting in the way of a good old fashioned massacre. All you gotta do is keep Dalek away from the ring, you got me? That way me and Jacky can maim, brutalize, disfigure one another to our hearts content!
Velociraptor Blue:
I never liked that pepper pot anyway. He got all your attention and all the bitches. Speaking of hot bitches, where’s Annie? I wanna spank that ass!
Williams rolls her eyes.
Kimberly Williams
I wouldn’t try that if I were you. She would probably tear your animatronic head off, Blue.
Velociraptor Blue:
Kinky.
Kimberly Williams
Look, you can do whatever you want, just make sure that stupid Dalek doesn’t get involved. Me and Jacky apparently have some death grudge to settle or something. I can’t even remember what it’s about right now but we’re supposed to be mad at each other for some reason. Anyway, once I’m done with Jacky, I am going to refocus my attention on the MWE Chicago Way Championship.
She grins knowingly.
Kimberly Williams
Way too many people have tried to usurp my throne as Queen of the Death Match. But that just isn’t going to happen. I have been HKW Bloodlust Champion for over a year. I may have won back my SCW Underground Championship…if I can get that DeLorean working I can go into the future and check SCW Apocalypse results to see if I did…I am the Unsanctioned Champion of Death & Shit. I’m like the Thanos of Death Match Wrestling. I am collecting the infinity stones and it is time to reclaim what is mine!
Singles Match
Kimberly Williams (w/ Dalek) VS Jacky Rex Daniels (w/ Anna Liz Daniels)What. A. Mess. The match had only just started and things between Anna and Dalek on the outside immediately went south. with the overgrown tin can threatening to EXTERMINATE the time lord, guilty of breaking his arm. Or whatever that part of its body was called. Jacky turned around to check on his significant other and a dropkick to the back caused him to fall on the outside. The Woman Scorned wasn’t missing the opportunity to take the fight on the outside and cause some havoc. With a suicide dive, she took down both Anna and Jacky, causing the Rapscallion to bump into the Dalek. The situation quickly escalated and the referee had no choice but to call for the bell. The official decision awarded the win to Kimberly via disqualification, the reason being the chair shot Anna smacked her on the head with before doing the same, with little effect, to the Dalek. WINNER: Kimberly Williams BY: DQ, 1:31 |
“Things are not always as they appear…”
This voice comes out of the darkness underneath a moonlit night where there is very little to see. A few moments later and we see “The Assassin” Clyde Sutter entering the scene from the right. The Assassin is wearing black dress pants, black dress shoes, and a white short sleeve silk button up shirt. Sunglasses cover his eyes and he has the MWE Riot Championship title belt wrapped around his waist.
Clyde Sutter:
Some may believe that they are in control but they are not. Some believe that material possessions give you power. That thought process is just a lie that people tell to delude themselves. No single championship equates to power. Not even this championship that I have wrapped around my waist.
He pats the Riot Title belt.
Clyde Sutter:
Control, power, all of that lies within the grasp of time itself. Never forget that time is the master of all and time dictates when one lives and dies. Time dictates when empires rise and fall. My rise in MWE began with the Television Title. It continued with this, the Riot Championship. And now Darcy Graves believes that she has the opportunity to put an end to my rise.
The Assassin chuckles softly.
Clyde Sutter:
You are deluding yourself, Ms. Graves. This is not an opportunity. You are but another sacrificial lamb being led to the slaughter. You do not have an opportunity to become Riot Champion, you are being challenged with the task of surviving The Assassin. Because that truly is the best you can hope for…survival. Your time to carry the illusion of power is here, Ms. Graves. Your time to get ruthlessly beaten within an inch of your life has arrived. And potentially your end may be here.
He reaches into his pocket and produces a watch.
Clyde Sutter:
The doomsday clock is counting down, Ms. Graves and it may very well be counting down towards your end.
Riot Championship Match
Alex Andrews on Commentary
Clyde Sutter © VS Darcy GravesAlex Andrews on Commentary
What many considered an upset win against the former Riot champion and Female Wrestler Of The Year Alex Andrews projected Darcy right at the top of the list of challengers for Clyde Sutter. A huge opportunity for the relatively newcomer who looked focused despite the presence of Alex on commentary. As for Lady Limitless, she took her job for tonight very seriously, providing interesting insight as the match went on. Even when provoked by Sir Figgles with a cheeky question about their recent match, Andrews was classy in her reply, saying that she wasn’t one to make excuses, everybody saw the match. She also added that, whether Darcy was successful tonight or not, she wouldn’t mind a rubber match between them. Speaking of this match though, it was a hard hitting contest that, on paper, heavily favored the reigning champion. Don’t count out Graves though, as she threw some mean rights that, on more than one occasion, caused Clyde to stagger back. This put him at the right distance for Graves to hit him with her feint roundhouse transitioned into a spinning wheel. Another solid performance for Graves who came very close to leave the Maldives with the gold thanks to a beautiful tornado DDT, proving herself as more than an efficient striker. The risk taken was a wake up call for Clyde. As he stood back to his feet, he charged at the opponent, picking her up and driving her into the corner. Here he punished her with several stiff elbows to the face and kicks to the ribs. Between those blows, he attempted to choke her but the illegal action was quickly cut short by the referee. Suplexes, powerbombs, neckbreakers.. Sutter used every move in his arsenal to demolish the opponent, a siege that couldn’t end with anything but the brutal Judge, Jury And Executioner, the devastating combo that allowed the Assassin to add another name to his list of victims. WINNER: Clyde Sutter (STILL RIOT CHAMPION) BY: Pinfall (Judge, Jury And Executioner), 9:58 |
We cut backstage where we see Matt Stone walking down the hallway wearing a spiffy pair of jeans and his own ‘Shut Me Up’ T-shirt that’s available at concession stands everywhere. He’s got a pretty important thing on his mind and he knows exactly where to go. Leaving a trail of complaints in her wake to the arena staff, locating Karen Eldon isn’t a difficult thing to do. Spotting her up ahead, he approaches with a purpose.
Matt Stone:
Karen, a word please.
Currently enjoying herself in a two piece bikini with a nearly see through floral robe over it. Smiling as she sees Matt the two having a mostly cordial past.
Karen Eldon:
How are you Matty? You enjoying the Maldives? I am three mojitos deep.
Matt Stone:
It's lovely but I'm afraid I have a little bit of a bone to pick with you, and it's not in relation to your drinking habits.
He does take note of the glass in her hand but needs to stay focused
Karen Eldon:
I am sorry I charged my room service to your room last night, total accident. Mixed up our room numbers.
Matt just stared at her for a second, something she was surely used to.
Matt Stone:
You did what? One problem at a time, why did you tell Ronnie that I had a crush on her?
Taking a sip of her drink smiling.
Karen Eldon:
I mean because you do, right?
She says this like it is obvious. He blinks a few times as if trying to process her reply.
Matt Stone:
No, not right and she’s like engaged or something. I don't need some paranoid guy thinking I'm trying to steal his girl, no need to go through that again.
Karen Eldon:
She is a good looking girl, you blew it if she is engaged. But engaged isn't married you know.
Karen says only egging it on further. Matt rolls his eyes.
Matt Stone:
You say that like marriage would be a barrier to me, but the point was you said it like you were privy to some insider knowledge when no such thing existed and now I've been asked about it more times than I'd like to count.
Karen Eldon:
Matt you say this like you know I don't enjoy causing these type of things. Plus you should make a move, she would be good for you.
He sighs, shaking his head.
Matt Stone:
Be that as it may, I would appreciate it if you kept your mischief and your nose out of my business.
Karen Eldon:
You know that I can't help myself Matty. How are you and Nicole doing anyways?
Matt Stone:
Why do you keep calling me Matty? And we were better before you started spreading rumors about me. She actually thinks that you have a thing for me which is a whole other can of worms I don’t want to get into.
Shaking her head smiling, enjoying her disruptive ways.
Karen Eldon:
I call you Matty because we are friends are we not? As far as me being into you. We both know its you that has a thing for me. You do clearly have a thing for blondes.
Matt Stone:
Oh yeah, I have a crush on every blonde ever, you got me. My fantasy will be you and Bree strapped together…
He rolls his eyes, clearly being sarcastic.
Karen Eldon:
Don't get me started on that annoying little girl. And a strap match? I am still fighting to have that changed. Still, sorry I made that remark about Veronica. I mean she just seemed like a good consolation prize. For you know, not landing me.
Karen winks, enjoying the banter and also enjoying playing with people's emotions. Matt seems taken aback by her wink and comment but quickly steadies himself and decides to play back at her a bit.
Matt Stone:
Oh Karen, if I wanted to, I could.
Smiling at him as she looks around.
Karen Eldon:
Well currently I am a bit upset with my boyfriend. choosing to not be by my side in my title match. And I know little Miss Bree took your title. Who knows? If my boyfriend chooses to not help me in my time of need. Who knows how appreciative I'd be for the guy that did.
Karen says this while walking past Matt, choosing to do so in a way that their bodies do interact a bit. As she walks off, making sure he gets a good view as she goes. Matt just stands there as she walks by, watching her walk away while shaking his head.
Matt Stone:
Good luck!
MENTV Championship Match
Devon Slayton VS Morag BeanDevon Slayton wasn’t happy. He wasn’t happy with Morag, guilty of attacking Ash Fi on the previous show canceling his first defense, he wasn’t happy to see the victim of that assault sitting on commentary for this match, fearing a retaliation that would slow down his march toward that fifth successful defense that would mean a granted shot at the Riot championship. But the Irish woman swore on the microphone that she wasn’t planning on interfering. As a matter of fact, she wished Morag good luck, adding that her win tonight would make their next match even more interesting. Solicited by Amy, she added that she had a long talk with Moretti and they found an agreement for another MWE match, against Morag herself. The stipulation? She will announce it after the match. The match, right. Morag was out to prove something tonight, to the fans, to Ash and probably to herself as well. For the first half of the match she impressed the audience, fighting the best match of her MWE career and coming very close to win her first title in the company with A75 after taking the champ down with the low dropkick/shining wizard combo known as Shetland Boneless. But as the match went on she seemed to be growing more and more concerned with what Ash was doing and saying. In fairness, the Dubliner didn’t do anything to justify her fears, even saying out loud that Morag should focus on her actual opponent in the ring rather than the future one sitting at the desk. But her advice got ignored by Bean until it was too late. Slayton flat out murdered her with the Death Note (high impact lariat) to the back of the head and finished her in a dominant fashion with his Hellhound. Defense number one was now in the books for Devon, who picked up his title and left. Ash stood up from her seat, grabbed a microphone and announced the stipulation for her match against Morag Bean: LOSER LEAVES MWE! WINNER: Devon Slayton (STILL MENTV CHAMPION) BY: Pinfall (Hellhound), 12:06 |
Hangman's Horror Match
Trinity Thompson VS TD BattersonAn impossible situation. A brutal, punishing match she stood zero chance to win. Honestly, nobody in their right mind expected the five foot, 112 pounds girl to throw over the top rope a 6’4’’ guy weighing three times her weight. Perhaps, despite her words and the confidence displayed, not even Trinity herself. After all, this match was intentionally designed to hurt her, a punishment for betraying Planet Faizah in Sharm El-Sheik. Despite the premises, Thompson gave TD hell in the early minutes, with the help of a steel chair and everything else that wasn’t anchored to the ground. As Batterson was laying outside, she attempted to wrap the collar around his neck but TD wasn’t having none of that. A kick to the stomach, a spinebuster on the floor and the match was irremediably turned in the giant’s favor. He clearly received precise instructions from Marshal to maximize the damage done to the young opponent, and he took his job to the letter. He grabbed the gong from the timekeeper table, slamming it on Trinity’s head until blood began flowing copiously from that open wound on her skull. It honestly became hard to watch, even harder to comment for Amy and Figgles. The fans were constantly booing when TD ruthlessly raged on Trinity, tossing her around and violently hitting her. But every time Trin managed to get some move in, they suddenly came to life, showing all their support to the former Academy student. Battered and bruised, the bloodied Thompson was truly making a stand tonight, fighting till the last breath. It seemed like all was over when Batterson clocked her with a punch to the jaw and dragged her toward the chain, but Trinity still had something left in her tank, enough to low blow the big man and break free. She then grabbed the chain and started using it as a weapon against Faizah’s bodyguard, flogging him repeatedly. Perhaps it was the desperation driving what looked like her last attempt, perhaps the beating she took or the blood in her eyes, but her attacks lacked precision, most of them barely hitting TD. And finally it all ended as he wrapped his hand around her throat and lifted her in the air for a chokeslam backbreaker. He then wrapped the collar around her neck and just tossed her out of the ring, hanging her up. Trinity kicked the air, trying to fight back but it was all pointless. Soon she passed out, and the match was over. Paramedics rushed to the scene, providing assistance to the young wrestler before carrying her backstage on a stretcher. WINNER: TD Batterson BY: Hanging, 16:53 |
Four Way Match
Riot Championship #1 Contender
Echo VS Marshal Smith VS Millie Smith VS Alan EnvyRiot Championship #1 Contender
One of the most dominant champions on the orange brand, a powerhouse with everything still to prove, a former Academy student finally ready to carve her own path after spending the majority of her career in tag teams and a grizzled veteran looking to relive his glory days. That was the lineup of this interesting match-up to crown the next contender to Clyde Sutter’s Riot championship, a huge chance for every single one of the people involved in this match. In a funny role reversal, Chris Constantine found himself at ringside as Smith’s enforcer, although his presence there wasn’t appreciated by Alan Envy. CCJ’s betrayal on APE still stung, and the Lonestar made sure the former World champion knew that he was still planning on making him pay for it. He ate a huge german suplex from Marshal as he was distracted by Constantine, while Echo was beating up Millie in the corner. Soon after the two of them were standing in front of each other, and despite neither the Australian nor Rosenberg’s new client being fan favorites, the people in attendance were looking forward to this clash of the titans. They didn’t disappoint, trading stiff blows for almost a minute, neither of them backing down or holding back. Surprisingly, Echo won the exchange thanks to a desperation headbutt that rocked Marshal, allowing her to knock the big man down with a bicycle kick. From out of nowhere came Millie Smith, flying across the ring with a crossbody that pinned the longest reigning Junior Heavyweight champion for a count of two. Highly motivated, Alan was reminding everyone why he was one of the biggest stars in the company. In the central phase of the match he was in absolute control, almost getting the win with a devastating spinebuster on the poor Millie. In that case Echo made the save at the very last second. Speaking of Echo, she looked impressive as ever, keeping her usual level of fierceness even though, this time, she didn’t break any rules. Who didn’t have any qualms in cheating instead was, needless to say, Chris Constantine. The founder of APE targeted especially his former partner in crime, not necessarily to favor Marshal either, as the big man was currently taking a break, recovering from a crazy tornado DDT from Millie. Alan had had enough of him and left the ring to chase Constantine around the ring. Echo kicked Millie in the ribs and then whipped her into the ropes, catching her on the rebound for the Reverb. This had to be it, there was no way Millie could kick out but no! Marshal made the save. He didn’t stop there, taking the Australian for the Tour Of The Island he christened Marshall Law. The cover was made but Alan came in to ruin Smith’s moment. He even tried to take advantage and walk away with the prize, but as he was about to drop Marshall with the Envious Demise, he felt someone grabbing his leg. Of course it was Chris, giving his bodyguard the opening to connect the Brooklyn Punch (pop up punch to the jaw) to end this. WINNER: Marshal Smith BY: Pinfall (Brooklyn Punch), 12:41 |
The wait was killing her. Minutes seemed like hours for Tiff as she nervously paced back and forth in front of the med bay. Behind that closed door was her sister Trinity, rushed in by the medical personnel after being hung in that brutal match against TD Batterson. The image of her body swinging in the air and slowly fading into unconsciousness will likely forever be etched in her memory, as well as those who witnessed that horrific scene.
One of the physicians had come out a minute earlier to reassure her that Trinity was as fine as one who just went through all that could be, and that she would be able to see her soon. That “soon” seemed to never come, time was flowing ever so slowly as the obvious concern for her sister’s health was eating her up.
Finally the door opened and she was allowed in. Her younger sister was laying on the bed in the far corner of the room, all cleaned up from the blood that covered her face but with the bruise left by the rope still very visible around her neck, a reminder of her sacrifice and of Faizah’s lucid madness. Slowly, Trinity turned her head in her direction, just as slowly she raised her hand to greet Tiff.
Trinity Thompson:
Hey sist…
Her voice came out as barely a whisper, the first words she said after the longest twenty minutes of her life immediately breaking out into coughing. Tiff was understandably concerned, making sure to hold Trinity’s hand and make sure that she was there by her side.
Tiff:
Hey Trin. How are you holding up?
The hint of a smile appeared on Trinity’s face, despite the pain. She nodded her head to reassure her sister, making a great effort to speak.
Trinity Thompson:
Physically? I’ve been better… I’ll be better…
With the little strength she had, she squeezed her hand.
Trinity Thompson:
But I’m happy.
The last statement didn’t make much sense, considering the situation. But before Tiff could ask for an explanation, Trinity continued.
Trinity Thompson:
I told you that you don’t have to worry. You have a main event to prepare for.
Tiff shook her head in response. From the current situation, the last thing on her mind was to leave her sister alone.
Tiff:
Are you kidding? After everything you just went through? I can’t leave you alone like this.
Trinity Thompson:
They want to take me to the hospital, run some more exams. I’ll be fine, she can’t hurt me anymore.
The smile on her face widened.
Trinity Thompson:
I told you I would fix this mess. You can finally move on, leave Faizah behind and focus on yourself, without having to worry about a thing.
Tiff:
No…
Trin didn’t seem opposed to this interruption.
Tiff:
I can’t move on. Not after all the things she put us through. She has to pay.
Trinity Thompson:
This ain’t you, Tiff…
The injured sister quickly replied.
Trinity Thompson:
You’re better than this, you’re better than ME. You gotta know that seeking revenge ain’t gonna do you any good. You’ll waste weeks, maybe months doing that and for what? I’d still be gone from MWE, she’d still be here and she can keep making your life hell. This is your chance to end the cycle, please… Take it.
She was right, and Tiff knew it. It was hard to accept, and it took a long while before she could respond, but Tiff couldn’t find the heart to disobey her sister’s plea. She couldn’t let history repeat itself again…
Tiff:
Okay. I’m sorry. After tonight, I’m done with her. I promise.
Trinity Thompson:
Give her a beating she’ll remember for a long time…
Even chuckling hurt, but Trinity couldn’t help it.
Trinity Thompson:
And a little extra from me as well.
She pulled Tiffany toward her while slowly moving toward her for a quick hug.
Trinity Thompson:
And don’t feel guilty for any of this, cause I ain’t ever gonna regret it. Matter of fact, I would do it again tomorrow… Or whenever the doctors clear me.
The hug lasts a little longer as Tiff whispers back to her, trying to hold back all the emotions running through her head right now.
Tiff:
Trin. You’ve done so much for me these last few years. I promise I will make everything up to you.
She stood back up, but not without letting go of Trin’s hand, who looked up at her still with her smile. Tiff smiles back at her.
Tiff:
Starting tonight.
Laying back on her bed, Trinity closed her eyes to push back some tears. When she opened them, Tiff was still there, still smiling.
Trinity Thompson:
We’re family. I would go to hell and back for you, and I know you’d do the same. Now go, I think something got in my eye…
Immediately noticing what was happening, Tiff simply nodded in response. She leaned down for one last quick hug before she was escorted out of the room by the nurses.
Tag Team Match
Lowri Moss & Tiff VS Faizah Marshall & Megan Manning
A thunderous round of applause welcomed Tiff as she stepped out of the curtain. After seeing what happened with Trinity, the fans wanted to express their sympathy and solidarity to the former Cloud Gate champion. Even Lowri went immediately to check on her, making sure the Five Foot Death Machine was ready and focused on the task at hand. Inversely proportional was the reaction they reserved to Faizah Marshall and TD Batterson, showered in loud boos. Megan didn’t seem particularly happy with having to team with her either, at least judging by the glance she gave to the Cloud Gate champion. But this was a huge opportunity for her, what happened a few weeks ago: as controversial a decision it was, Constantine earned a title shot by beating Moss in a trios match, and despite not liking her partner much, Megan was focused on getting that win. Her first minutes were close to perfect, she seemed to have a counter for any and every attack the champion tried, even for that question mark kick. With a leg sweep, Megan took Lowri down and quickly connected a running shooting star press, obtaining a count of two. Another near fall for the challenger came thanks to her patented crescent kick, but Tiff was quick to break it up. The champion reminded everyone why she was on top of the mountain here in MWE, finding a way to take back control. Her offense relied more on submission and holds rather than direct strikes, proof that she was very well versed in that department as well. After tiring out the opponent with those, she went for the Severn Bridge but Faizah saved her opponent. The Original BAE eventually entered the ring, and as soon as she did, Lowri tagged herself out, leaving the stage to Tiff. What happened to her sister must’ve been the last straw. Months of frustrations, humiliations and harassment finally found an outlet. The Five Foot Death Machine was incredibly aggressive, looking to give Marshall a beating she would remember. TD Batterson had to pull his client out of the ring to allow her to catch that break Tiff wasn’t going to give her, but the former champion wasn’t stopping. She went for a baseball slide, but only hit Batterson as he shoved Faizah out of the way. Marshall exploited the area surrounding the ring to turn the tides of the match, launching Rollins into the steel post and bashing her head against the apron. Right before the count of ten she brought the fight back inside the ring, immediately attempting a cover but only getting a two. She didn't waste any time, nor did she get distracted by the opportunity to humble her former idol. Staying focused and determined, she kept hitting Tiff with her best moves. The only hesitation she had was a brief moment before attempting a springboard crossbody, and she paid the ultimate prize for it, as the longest reigning single champion in MWE history blasted her with the Death Kick. It could’ve been enough to get the win, but Tiff wanted to pay her homage to her younger sister who just sacrificed her MWE career to redeem her contract. After the Death Kick, Faizah ate the Nap Kick too. Lowri entered the ring to prevent Megan from breaking up the pin, but Manning didn’t even consider the option, turning around and leaving her partner to her fate.
