MWE Summer Beach Tour: Malibu
Live from Zuma Beach in Malibu, CA
Wednesday, June 8th, 2022
The show just kicks off and it does so to the very unwelcome sight of Karen Eldon entering the building with one half of the MWE Tag Team titles over her shoulder. Her match is not until later in the night, so she is still in her street clothes which make up a gold dress for the occasion. Marking her return to championship life. Entering with a security guard on one side of her. She walks in her heels with her usual sense of entitlement. Suddenly though there is a loud shouting from somewhere in the backstage area.
Staff Member:
DUKE CALM DOWN!
That is all we hear before we see a body fly across the screen in front of Karen’s feet. Not realizing she has walked into the line of fire, as it just so happens that Duke Andrews was heading towards the ring for his first match of the night. We see a very angry Duke making a quick rush at Karen though like a guardian angel some likely underpaid security staff takes the full brunt of a shoulder from Duke. He goes flying but he buys Karen enough time to rush away allowing some of the other security staff to rush in trying to stop the big man. Karen at first stops thinking she’s already safe.
Karen Eldon:
See you later loser!
Karen at first has a laugh at Duke’s expense thinking the four men were enough to stop him. But suddenly he hulks up, sending two of them flying backwards. Quickly realizing his rage is making him tougher than she imagined Karen gets to rushing away screaming for further assistance, though having seen what happened to the other schmucks none likely to come. Duke finishes the job throwing one staff member into the wall, as the last man standing begs for forgiveness.
Duke Andrews:
Just get out of here…
Duke says this sternly to the last security member who quickly rushes off, to save his own skin. Duke seems to consider going after Karen again but thinks better of it considering he starts the night against Nina and will get to end it with Karen. Letting out an angry grunt he storms his way to the entrance area.

“Loner Boogie” by Boy Azooga plays over the PA system, immediately creating a buzz amongst those present on the beach, and once the song's intro finishes, Lowri Moss walks out through the curtains, which only causes the cheers to increase in volume. Dressed casually, Lowri stands on the stage, a broad smile on her face as she takes a moment to survey the crowd, revelling in the reception. She makes her way down towards the ring, and as she does so, she makes an effort to slap the hands of as many as possible of the fans that reach out to her. After climbing the steps and entering the ring, Lowri heads for one of the corners, climbs to the second rope and gestures to the fans watching, both there in person and at home, by making the ILY sign with her right hand. Lowri then goes to collect a microphone, and as her music fades out, she glances around at the fans that are in attendance, basking in their cheers. She starts by giving her usual greeting.
Lowri Moss:
What’s occurring, Malibu?
That elicits the customary cheap pop.
Lowri Moss:
I’m going to try to keep this relatively short, as there’s a full night of action in store, a lot of big matches that I’m sure you’re all looking forward to watching. One person though who you might have noticed that you won’t get to see in a match tonight… is yours truly.
While that would not have come as news to anyone who has already looked at the card for tonight’s show, there is still a smattering of boos, the crowd disappointed to not be getting to see the fan favourite compete.
Lowri Moss:
I have actually had some people ask me whether I’m the mystery opponent who Clyde Eldon Jr. is going to be facing later.
There is a shake of the head from Lowri.
Lowri Moss:
I don't know who Clyde’s opponent is going to be, but I can tell you that it won’t be me– after having had a match of my own against a mystery opponent last month at Bound For Greatness, I’m not now going to be filling that role myself here tonight.
Following the briefest of pauses, she continues.
Lowri Moss:
I am aware that me not being one of the participants in the Battle For The Briefcase tournament has surprised a lot of people. And the reason I’m not in the tournament isn’t because there has been a repeat of what happened a few months ago with the Cloud Gate Championship tournament, when I was originally due to be part of the tournament, but then asked to be removed from it.
She gives another shake of her head.
Lowri Moss:
Speaking of being removed from things, you might remember that a couple of months ago at Dark Web, I had been due to be part of a number one contender match for the World title, until I asked to be removed from the match as I thought that I didn’t deserve to be in it, that I hadn’t earned my spot in it.
Lowri lets out a sigh.
Lowri Moss:
At the time, the results of my recent matches in MWE hadn’t been good enough, not for someone with aspirations of being World Champion. In the weeks that have passed since then though, I’ve been in five matches, I’ve won four of them, including two wins against opponents who have held top titles in other promotions– well-renowned promotions too, not Mickey Mouse ones– and but for a double countout, I would be standing here with a perfect record of five wins from my last five matches.
The smile on Lowri’s face broadens slightly.
Lowri Moss:
During that same period of time, while I’ve been busy chalking up several noteworthy victories, so too has our current World Champion, BROOKFORD, adding to his number of successful defences, and counting off his days as champion. In fact, after his latest successful defence, against Melissa Reeves at Bound For Greatness, it’s guaranteed that he will shortly surpass Melissa’s record for the longest reign as MWE World Champion… and so I suppose the question now becomes, just how long is BROOKFORD’s reign going to last– just how much he will he end up eclipsing Melissa’s record by? The way that he tells it, his reign could go on for some time to come. I mean, on a recent episode of Riot, he said that he had already run through anyone who is anyone in MWE.
Her smile now resembles more of a smirk.
Lowri Moss:
Well, BROOKFORD, there is one person on the roster who you haven’t run through.
Lowri raises her right index finger, then points to herself and mouths the word “me,” as the fans cheer her on.
Lowri Moss:
You see, the reason why I’m out here in this ring right now instead of backstage preparing myself for a match in the first round of the Battle For The Briefcase tournament, the reason why I’m not even in the tournament is because I don’t need the briefcase in order to be a contender for the World Championship. If you want a big money match, BROOKFORD, the biggest one there is available to you, then how about a match with someone who you’ve never faced one-on-one before, someone who also knows what it’s like to be a World Champion, and who has herself broken records for longest reign as champion, in multiple different promotions?
The crowd buzzes, most of them having already guessed what is coming next.
Lowri Moss:
To put it simply, I’m challenging you to a match next Friday, in Maui: Lowri Moss… versus BROOKFORD… for the MWE World Championship.
The fans instantly roar in anticipation of that prospective match. Lowri waits for them to quiet down, before she speaks again.
Lowri Moss:
Count the days, BROOKFORD– continue to count the days until you break Melissa’s record, but also count the days until we meet next Friday. Because as far as your reign as MWE World Champion is concerned? Your days may well now be numbered.
As the crowd cheers loudly for Lowri once more, “Loner Boogie” by Boy Azooga begins to play over the PA system. She goes to hand back her microphone, before then stepping through the ropes and heading backstage, slapping hands with more of the fans on the way.
With the events that took place between Duke and the security team, a few minutes passed. Duke was sitting on a moving crate in front of the gorilla position.
Tiffany Lynn-Page:
Just focus on the task at hand. Don’t look towards the tag match. You have staked claim to the briefcase for months. You have to get through tonight first.
Duke looked up at her with a simple nod. It wasn’t a side that was usually seen on camera but it wasn’t about being in character. It was being real.
Duke Andrews:
You’re right. One hundred percent right. Nina. Then the tag match.
A deep exhale, the nostrils flared as he turned his head to face the camera.
Duke Andrews:
I could go on and on about you and I, Nina. I could go down the road about the nights we would close down the bars, spend money on Grace’s card. How you’d promote everything I posted three twitter handles ago. But that means nothing. Tonight, our past, stays there. This isn’t a mentor and mentee match like you had with Seth. Tonight this is about business.
Another long deep breath. Hands running through his hair.
Duke Andrews:
Of all people, I know you understand where I’m sitting in this. I don’t like that I have to crush your dreams this early on. I don’t like that I have to step in that ring with you, with everything that is hanging onto my emotions for the night. And for that, I’m sorry. I’m sorry I have to be the one that does this.

“Paradigm” by The Plot In You blared over the PA system and out walked Julian Savell, Raze, Wade Manson and “Number 4”. Julian stood in front of the three men with a microphone in hand and his Chicago Way Championship on his shoulder. As the music died down, the fans kept booing but that didn’t stop Julian from speaking.
Julian Savell:
Shut the fuck up, you losers!
The boos grew even louder, causing Savell to laugh.
Julian Savell:
Look at the four of us. We stand here before all of you. While all of you in the crowd think that the wrestlers here are here to serve you, to entertain you and make you happy? That’s not what we’re here for. No.
Julian turned and walked by each person; Raze, Wade and “Number 4”, and he gave each of them a nod of approval.
Julian Savell:
No. We are here to serve ourselves. And all of you? You’re here to kneel before us and worship the ground we walk on. To keep it simple? We stand here like gods amongst weak men. We stand here as the Uncalled Four!
Boos rained down on the four men as Julian pulled down his patented mask to get a better look at the crowd. He glared at the crowd menacingly before letting out a cackle.
Julian Savell:
And if you think that these gods standing in front of you will be saving any of you weak men? Especially you fucks sitting around in the back? You’ve got another thing coming. You see, what we did to Hearst the other week? That was just the start of something… No, not glorious. No, let’s call it horrific. Because we are going to rule over Millennium with an iron fist. This isn’t Triumvirate, who talked a big game and then did nothing. No. We will back up what we claim.
He nodded confidently.
Julian Savell:
As for this little tournament? Like Raze and Mason, I shall be entering it and here is my first proclamation that I shall make that I’ll back up. One of us will win it.
Julian turned and motioned to “Number 4”, who walked backstage for a moment.
Julian Savell:
As for this Chicago Way Championship on my shoulder? It means nothing to me. I won it, simply because I wanted to put that little bitch Andrew in his place and show him that he doesn’t come fucking close to me.
As Julian finished speaking, “Number 4” walked out with a tin trash can.
Julian Savell:
Perfect.
Julian raised the Chicago Way Championship over the trash can and the boos from the crowd reached a peak that hadn’t been heard that night. Julian then dropped the championship in the trash and began to cackle, and the rest of the Uncalled Four laughed as well. Savell then dropped the mic in the trash can and kicked it over before the four men’s theme hit and they walked out to a loud chorus of continued boos.

The camera cut backstage where Jenny Carter can be seen waiting for her first guest.
Jenny Carter:
Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the Summer Beach Tour. I'm here tonight with a very special guest. I know that, as an interviewer, I'm supposed to be impartial but I have to say it's a true pleasure to introduce to you one of the recently graduated Academy students, my little sister Evelyn Carter.
Already donning her brand new ring gear, designed by none other than Jessica Anderson, Vi walkd into frame, smiling from ear to ear and waving at the camera.
Jenny Carter:
Evelyn... You made it. You're officially a professional wrestler, signed with one of the biggest promotions, having your first interview before your debut as a singles wrestler, in the Battle For The Briefcase nonethelss. How are you feeling?
Visibly emotional, Evelyn tried to keep her composure. But the pre-match jitters are clearly visible.
Evelyn Carter:
Oh Jenny... It doesn't even feel real! Like, remember around this time last year when I first told you that I wanted to become a wrestler? And now I'm here, I had my first match with Jess at Bound For Greatness and now I'm about to get in the ring with an absolute legend. It's crazy!
Jenny Carter:
You mentioned your opponent, Melissa Reeves. You definitely have a huge task in front of yourself...
With that smile still present on her face, Vi shrugged her shoulders.
Evelyn Carter:
Let's say impossible.
Jenny raised an eyebrow at her sister's answer. She seemed about to say something but Evelyn cut her off.
Evelyn Carter:
I mean, yeah I know. Nothing is truly impossible, miracles can happen in this sport and all that. But let's be honest.. Mel is clearly the favorite tonight. I mean, she's had more titles in her career than I had birthdays, she's been doing this for a long time and at a top level. She won the BOTB tournament in the past, and she may as well win it this year too while I literally have yet to have my first singles match as a pro. Nobody is expecting me to beat her.
A lucid analysis. Still, Jenny had some nice words for her sister.
Jenny Carter:
You make a good point. But it's still a huge opportunity for you, a chance to show what you learned in the Academy.
Evelyn Carter:
And that's how I'm living it.I know a lot of people said that Melissa got lucky with the draw, but honselty? I'm the lucky one here. It's not everyday that a rookie like me gets to be in the ring with a world class athlete like her. It's going to be a great learning experience from me, Don't get me wrong, I'm not planning to lay down and give her a free pass to the next round... I'm still going to give my 110%, I'm just not stressing too much about the outcome. At the end of the night, I will walk back to my hotel room with a wealth of experience. Mistakes to learn from, secrets to "steal" from my opponent. And that, in my book, is already a win.
Definitely not what Jeny was expecting from her interview, but she seemed proud of the answers her sister gave her.
Jenny Carter:
Well, I guess you said everything there was to say. Good luck out there, Vi.
Eveyn Carter:
Thank you Jen, I'll try to make you proud.
With a smille, Jenny replied.
Jenny Carter:
You already did, Vi.
The Carter sisters share a quick hug before Evelyn walks toward her match.

“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn is walking down a hallway in the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and being followed by her bodyguard Megan Coleman.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
After speaking with my doctors here in Los Angeles and we spoke with my neurologist at Johns Hopkins I have been medically cleared to return to the ring.
Tiffany smiles.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
Everybody assumes that I would be fuming over that old lady, Karen, and her boy to viciously attack me, knocking me out of action for several weeks. Which caused Megan and I to be stripped of the MWE World Tag Team Championships. I could go on and on about how the new champs claimed to be the very best team in the world when they couldn’t beat Megan and I. But that is truly neither here nor there because unlike Karen I don’t need to ride on someone else’s coattails to be a champion. I have the very best team around me because I am the superstar of MWE. Which is why I am the face of MWE. What Karen is truly the best at is avoiding difficult situations. Which hey I can’t fault her for. Admittedly so I have done that and in a moment of honesty I would have done the very same thing in Karen’s situation.
Tiffany and Megan to the elevators. As Megan presses the down button Tiffany looks directly at the camera.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
But that is where my appreciation stops because she tried to finish me. Obviously she failed and now it is time for her to repent because we all know she has wanted to be me since I arrived in MWE. Go back and do your research then you would all see it was Karen who picked this fight. A fight that she will undoubtedly lose.
The elevator doors open Tiffany and Megan walks into the elevator.

The scene opens up backstage where we see the former Chicago Way Champion, Andrew Raynes, sitting on the stairwell, his head lowered, hair in front of his face looking like he was taking a few deep breaths to prepare. Moving onto the battle of the briefcase was the next logical step for Andrew to continue his ascension. After a few moments, he slowly lifted his head as you can see the laser focus in his eyes through his hair and was ready to get shit done in Malibu tonight.
Andrew Raynes:
The time has come.
The next logical step on the path of hate that I walk has brought me to the battle of the briefcase. I no longer allow myself to look back on the pettiness a little boy like Julian took to take the Chicago way championship away from me, I simply came to understand that I had elevated myself as far as I needed to get here in MWE and now it's simply time to continue walking.
My focus shifts as soon as it needs to, I always find the means to grow further rather than allow myself to be dragged down because a man desperate for relevancy had to trade in every little favour in order to finally become relevant. Knowing what it took to take it away from me only validated that my time with it needed to end and allow me the pure focus of what comes next for wrestling's most hated.
Andrew scoffs, he possessed the will to look ahead rather than dwell or cry about what was lost. It kept his head clear for what really mattered.
Andrew Raynes:
It's why it came at the perfect time before the summer tour that hate will become fully showcased on my path to winning the briefcase and allowing me to strike whenever I deem relevant.
That won't bode well for whoever is champion when I make that choice.
Make no mistake I won't care who holds the title when I pick my spot. It will only be when I know it's my time and that doesn't necessarily mean at your weakest or lowest point, it will simply be when my time has arrived.
It doesn't escape me that there are others who need this more than I do, that are banking on this as a last opportunity before they fade away, I am simply continuing to walk down the path of my choosing and will demonstrate why I dont give a damn who ends up in front of me on my way to claiming the briefcase, you're all the same to me.
Andrew looks down quickly, takes a breath and looks back up. An intensity radiates from his eyes.
Andrew Raynes:
Wade, you think I'm concerned about this being your first match here? Do you think you can take advantage of the man who had his championship stolen from him? As fitting as this match may feel for you, I can assure you I will be making it as uncomfortable as possible for you.
I'm not just a glutton for punishment, Wade, I'm someone who bathes in it daily. Over eighty five percent of my matches while I was Chicago way champion were about punishment and making whatever sacrifice was necessary to get the job done. See, I don't rely on others to get the job done for me. I excel on giving and taking punishment until one of us is no longer capable to continue
Do you truly think you can keep up with me? Can you even fathom what I am capable of?
You're confident and that's fine, there's nothing I enjoy more than breaking someone's spirit and bringing out the worst in them. My punishment has no threshold or accountability, I am not concerned for your well being or personal desires. I thrive on inflicting as much as possible to break you before finishing you off. This match will be a warning to everyone else who thinks they have a chance of winning that briefcase that they're going to need more than they have now in order to stop me. It will test the will and resolve of everyone here because I don't intend on letting anything stop me.
You better be ready, Wade, because as soon as that bell rings, I'm full down on the gas pedal and I won't stop.
You better keep up because if you don't, you'll fall quicker than you can blink and before you know it, you will have felt hatred's embrace before the lights turn out.
Andrew just smirks and has a slight chuckle as the camera cuts.

Pre-recorded…
It is dark outside in an undisclosed location. There is one light in the entire sky and that is from the moon itself that shines down onto the ground, illuminating at least partially the surrounding area. A few moments later and we see the familiar and intimidating presence of “The Assassin” Clyde Sutter stepping into view from the right. He is wearing black dress pants, black shoes, a white silk button up shirt, and a black leather jacket.
Clyde Sutter:
Before I say I wish to address the reigning and extremely fortunate Riot Champion Alex Andrews. Ms. Andrews, I hope you realize just how lucky you are. After all, your championship was in serious jeopardy due to the simple fact that you were defending against me. And no matter how you may try to spin the situation, Ms. Andrews, you have to recognize that had it not been for Echo and her interference, you would have eventually and inevitably gone down in defeat to yours truly. I hope you understand, Ms. Andrews, that you are the Riot Championship because of one person and one person only and that one person is not you. You did not successfully defend your championship against me. Echo is the one who saved your title. You are a proud champion, so surely you must understand you have to admit that your title reign is now, for all intents and purposes, a fraud.
Now I wish to address the woman who signed her own personal death warrant. You may believe that you have this all thought out. You falsely believe that you are in control here but in reality you have no idea what you have done. You have no idea what you have unleashed.
Sutter points a finger at the camera.
Clyde Sutter:
Your time was not up, Echo. Your time was far from up. You had plenty of time left before the executioner known as time came calling for you. And for the longest time I merely served as an agent of time. When someone’s time was up, I ended them. There was no prejudice, no antagonism on my part; I was merely doing my appointed job, fulfilling my destiny. But then you, Echo, you decided to involve yourself in my business. Ms. Andrews’s time was up. It was my time to put an end to her and her reign as champion. But then you gave her a reprieve. You decided to mess with time. Messing with time, tampering with destiny, that is just like opening Pandora’s Box. It can only end in catastrophe. You and Ms. Andrews will learn that first hand.
Sutter chuckles nastily.
Clyde Sutter:
You decided to mess with time. Now I am left with no other alternative but to take matters into my own hands. I am no longer an agent of time, doing the will of destiny itself. Because of your actions The Assassin that everyone feared is no more and in his place walks something even worse, something that is truly uncontrollable and unstoppable. Now I do not simply do the dirty work of time and destiny, I am the JUDGE…THE JURY…AND THE EXECUTIONER!
He pats himself on the chest.
Clyde Sutter:
Now I decide who lives and who dies! I decide who can live to fight another day and who has to be taken away in an ambulance! I decide whose time is up! And from now on everything is personal. From now on those who I destroy, I destroy because I want to. And Echo, Ms. Andrews, I have decided that I will execute the pair of you for your crimes against destiny. I will execute you both for messing with my plans. In Malibu I will wreck both of you and in short order become the new Riot Champion. The Assassin is no more. The Executioner is here. And there is no more countdown because armageddon…and the end of the world…is here!
Sutter turns and walks off.

Sutter turns and walks off.

…: “I mean at the end of the night we take our place back as the rightful tag team champions…”
The door opened to see Alan Envy standing in front of Duke Andrews, Redd, and Tiffany. Alan almost ready for the match, Duke sitting in a folding chair, straps to his singlet down and off of his shoulders as he held onto the roll of athletic tape.
Duke Andrews:
The confliction of this match is what is driving me insane. That see you next Tuesday thinks that she’s going to get away with her plan that she concocted four boxes of wine deep. But that manipulative bitch hasn’t even begun to think of the payback that’s she’s going to get.
Alan Envy:
Which is why we take what she holds most precious to her.
Duke nodded his head.
Duke Andrews:
But what if I want more? But what if I want to end it all for her before she can claim this new and improved run? Give her a dose of her own medicine and put her plastic ass on the shelf? And then what do we get? Olly bitching about what could have been? Is that really what we want?
Alan took a seat next to Redd as he looked up at Duke.
Alan Envy:
Then he can try and find another slug to join him in coming up from the basement of the tag team division.
Alan slapped Redd on the leg as Duke shook his head.
Duke Andrews:
While that would be ideal, let’s not forget that he’s been one of the most annoying pieces of trash…
REDD Thunder:
A GNAT..
Duke and Alan looked at Redd with a nod.
Duke Andrews:
He’s just as responsible for this as Karen. He’s pushing her buttons, realistically we have thought Karen was the puppet master, but what we didn’t see was Olly pulling her strings. Tonight, no matter what the outcome is…we finish this once and for all and we end any sort of run that duo thinks they have. We put them out of their misery and move on.
With that Tiffany pushed the door shut with her foot.

Pre-recorded…
We open to the gorgeous and popular Zuma Beach in Malibu, California. Many beach goers and tourists are walking the sands and enjoying the ocean. One individual in particular catches the interest of our cameraman. This individual is dressed in a royal purple lace summer sun dress and a large hat. Sunglasses cover her eyes. She is walking barefoot through the sands. This is “The British Bombshell” Glory Braddock and based on the look of confidence etched across her face she seems ready for her own battle tonight.
Glory Braddock:
I just love Malibu! The warm weather, the ocean, the beautiful view, it is the absolute perfect place to take a vacation if I do say so myself. But this seemingly perfect picturesque environment is deceptive. It can lull you into a false sense of security. After all, you see the beauty before you and you want to just lie around and soak up the sun’s rays. Or perhaps you want to go out in the ocean and have a good time?
Braddock chuckles softly and shakes her head.
Glory Braddock:
But this is no vacation and this is no time for games. It is time to get down to business. Because right here today on this very beach the battle for the briefcase begins in earnest. A tournament where many of MWE’s best, and even some of MWE’s mid-level underachievers, have their opportunity to grasp hold of a golden ticket to stardom. Now granted, I have been joking a little here and there on social media about this briefcase war, but don’t take my jovial attitude as weakness. Do not mistake my fun loving approach as someone who does not understand the gravity of the situation. Trust me, I fully understand what is at stake in the battle of briefcase. The previous two briefcase winners would go on to become MWE World Champion.
The British Bombshell takes her sunglasses off and stares deep into the camera. We get a glimpse of the intensity in her eyes.
Glory Braddock:
The World Championship is the prize I am after. And if winning this tournament and taking that briefcase is what I must do in order to get my opportunity then I guess that’s what I will do. I am a lot of things; you can accuse me of being arrogant, you can say I’m one of the best wrestlers ever, or you could say I’m overrated…but one thing no one can deny is the fact that Glory Braddock is NOT a quitter. You can knock me down and I will keep getting back up and keep marching towards my goal until I get what I want. Right now I want that briefcase because it is my ticket to the title and no one will stop me.
She shakes her head.
Glory Braddock:
Not even you, Valkyrie. You may outsize and overpower most of your opponents but that won’t work on me. You’re not that much bigger than me and while you may be stronger and more powerful than I am, understand that I have stood up to bigger and badder bullies in the past and I have put each and every one of them down with Shekhinah Glory. You may view yourself as the biggest and baddest threat in this tournament but to me you are just an obstacle, one of many obstacles I have to overcome in order to get my hands on that briefcase. So I just have three simple words for you, mate; Sic Semper Tyrannis. Bring your A-Game, do your worst, and I will absorb every bit of punishment you can dish out and then I will throw it right back at you in spades. And when the dust has settled you will be staring up at the lights and watching me celebrate as I advance past you and into the next round of this tournament.
Braddock places the sunglasses back on her face.
Glory Braddock:
See you in the ring, Valkyrie. Good luck…because you will need it.
Glory walks off. The camera fades.

We to show interviewer Robbie Hayden. He is standing next to a flashy, flamboyantly dressed man with rough looking dark hair. A cocky smirk is etched across the man’s face. Robbie, for his part, looks rather confused.
Robbie Hayden:
Ladies and gentlemen, I was told that I was going to speak to Jessica Lasiewicz and Summer Collins but I apologize, it appears as if that is not the case. Instead I am here with…
The man holds up a hand to silence Robbie.
Leviticus:
Now, now, Hayden, don’t go telling vicious lies. You are a better journalist than that. Just admit that you misunderstood what you were told. You were told you were going to speak to Fabulous and you will, but not directly to Ms. Lasiewicz and Ms. Collins. They are far too good and have much better things to do than to set foot here in Malibu.
Robbie Hayden:
And so I’m speaking to you? And you would be?
Leviticus:
I am The Most Loved Man On The Planet, The Emperor of Entrepreneurship, Captain Capitalism, Master Media Mogul, Saint Levi, Your Righteous Savior, The Titan of Twitter, The Sultan of Social Media, The Nova Wonder Killer, The Maharaja of Marketing, The Franciscan Friar of Flash! I am Leviticus! And my role tonight is to serve as the voice of Fabulous!
Robbie Hayden:
Well why are they not here? I thought they were determined to become MWE World Tag Team Champions?
Leviticus nods his head.
Leviticus:
They are determined and they will become MWE World Tag Team Champions. But to say that they are a little miffed, slightly offended, at the fact that they did not receive the first opportunity against K20 for the MWE World Tag Team Title, well that would be an understatement. Let’s face facts, Robbie, the only reason APE got the first title shot is because APE are good keyboard warriors. That’s it. APE and K20 have been engaging in social media warfare for months now and everyone wants to see the two teams beat the hell out of each other. But Ms. Lasiewicz and Ms. Collins are more than keyboard warriors. They recognize that being able to win an argument on social media doesn’t win your tag team gold. Fabulous and K20 would have been a far superior match. But if they want to waste their Malibu main event then so be it. Fabulous will be watching the main event very closely because sooner or later they will get their tag team title opportunity and they will show the entire world why they are still the elite, the cream of the crop, when it comes to tag team wrestling. Fabulous will regain the MWE World Tag Team Championship, and it doesn’t matter whether they beat K20, APE, or whoever. The tag team titles will be Fabulous again.
St. Levi smirks.
Leviticus:
In the meantime I have plenty of projects in the works to further advance their brand. Coming to Discovery +, “The Daughter of Legends: The Jessica Lasiewicz Documentary”...”Making Money and Making Enemies: Summer Collins Autobiography”...and whole host of new Fabulous products! See what I did there?
Robbie Hayden:
Yeah…
Leviticus:
I’ll make sure you get an advance copy of that documentary the autobiography, Robbster.
Captain Capitalism turns and walks off.

"I want @ninevdh "
"You would have me stand to gain nothing? Make it worth my while, then I may entertain your pathetic quest for vengeance."
"Name your price. It won't matter once I get my hands on you anyway"
"Put your livelihood on the line. If you want her back, you’ll sacrifice everything for a chance. Correct?"
"fine. I'll put my MWE career on the line. For Trin"
"When you lose, and you will - your contract is mine."
These were the tweets that flashed on screen relating to a conversation between Tiff and Nine van der Hoek, setting up their fateful encounter later this evening. Peyton Holland and Ambra Monroe were here to provide commentary over this conversation.
Peyton Holland:
As you can see, the situation involving the Cult of Nine has taken a very personal turn. After Trinity Thompson disappeared at Bound for Greatness, her half-sister, who you all know as Tiff, has stepped in to take in the leader herself, the one responsible for Trinity's disappearance.
Ambra Monroe:
But in doing so, she might have signed a deal with the devil herself...
Peyton Holland:
Tiff will take on Nine van der Hoek tonight, but the stakes cannot be any higher for the former Cloud Gate Champion. Let's take you to the back, where Jenny Carter is with Tiff. Take it away Jenny!
Right on cue, we then cut to the interview area, where Jenny Carter was already standing next to Tiff with a microphone. The tone in the room was deafly serious, as Tiff showed a look of immense intensity, smacking her fist into her palm, looking away from the camera, ready for a fight. Jenny was given the unenviable job of breaking this silent intensity.
Jenny Carter:
Thanks Peyton.
Jenny then turned to Tiff, who looked like she was yet to blink.
Jenny Carter:
Tiff. It's wonderful to see you again, but not under these circumstances. You are about to go into a war with Nine van der Hoek, with your own MWE contract on the line. Why are you doing this?
This stopped Tiff for a moment, who looked up at Jenny with a scowl.
Tiff:
Why am I doing this?
She then turned to the camera that was directly facing her.
Tiff:
I'm doing this for her. Trinity. When this whole thing with Nine started with her, I wanted to get involved. I wanted to fight with her. But she said no. She told me not to get involved, that she could handle this herself. So I respected her wish, I stayed out of it, I did the whole team-up thing with Clyde, but that doesn't mean I ignored it. I kept an eye on everything going on with her, and although there were times where I'd love to have gotten involved, I stayed respectful, and I kept out of it. But now? Nine has gone too far. She's taken Trin, and no one knows where she is. I can't just sit back and watch this play out anymore. That's my sister, and I will get her back, even if I have to beat the living shit out of Nine and her cultists to do it!
There's no respite as Jenny immediately jumped in with a hint of concern in her voice.
Jenny Carter:
But why put your contract on the line? It's one thing to put your career on the line, but Nine challenged you to put your MWE contract on the line. A contract that you literally just re-signed after one year back with the company. That means if she defeats you tonight, she'll own your contract. Not Grace van Beek, not MWE management, SHE will own your contract, free to do whatever she wants with it. She could change it, she could sell it, she could even tear it into pieces. To have that much power over someone? Aren't you a little worried about that?
In that a moment, a fleeting look of regret creeped onto Tiff's face, but that moment was immediately shrugged off as Tiff regained her composure, looking directly into the camera as Jenny held the microphone to her face.
Tiff:
I'd rather not think about any of that right now. But you're forgetting, there are two sides in this arrangement. If I lose, sure, she owns my contract. This may even be the last time you see me here in MWE. But if and when I win, she has to return Trinity to us unharmed. Is that a fair deal? In my book, yes it is. Is my sister's safety worth it? Yes it is. Is she worth putting my contract on the line for? Yes she fucking is!
Another interruption.
Jenny Carter:
But surely you don't think Nine will be alone in this fight? She'll probably be flocked by the rest of her cult. Will that play a factor tonight?
Tiff:
Honestly, I'd be surprised if she did come to this fight alone. I know I ain't exactly having the best run in my career right now, but I ain't going into this fight blind. I know what I'm up against, and it will probably be a numbers game. But I work much better on my own anyway, and with Clyde doing whatever he's doing, that leaves me laser focused on kicking the shit out of Nine and her cult...
That last line gave Jenny an opportunity to throw in one more perhaps unrelated question...
Jenny Carter:
Sorry to go off-topic, but you just brought up Clyde Eldon Jr. You haven't made any comment since walking out on you to join Planet Faizah. Do you have anything to say now?
Jenny was met with another scowl in response. This was Jenny's second interview with Tiff in the same week, but this glance showed Jenny a side that she did not expect from Tiff.
Tiff:
Saving my sister is more important to me right now.
Taking the hint, Jenny quickly switched back to topic.
Jenny Carter:
Right. Of course. I understand how important tonight is for you, and I won't keep you any further. I think we all wish you the best of luck tonight, and we hope you can return Trinity to us safe and sound.
Tiff:
That's the plan...
Jenny gestured that Tiff was free to go, in Tiff did not hesitate to return to training for what may be the most important match in her MWE career. The camera however stayed on Jenny, who held the microphone back to her chest and looked back into the camera for her closing statement.
Jenny Carter:
She may look ready, but for her sake, I hope she is ready for whatever the Cult of Nine may have planned for her.
And with that, we cut to the next scene.

Alex Andrews is seen pacing inside of what looks to be a moderately furnished apartment bedroom. She's muttering to herself as she walks back and forth.
Alex Andrews :
Behind the right ball, aren't I? Aren't you? Stuck between a rock in a hard place.
Alex shakes her head and focuses her attention on the camera, speaking directly to it.
Alex Andrews :
I kind of am, aren't it? It really isn't an exaggeration that this might be the toughest match or at least toughest challenge I've been met with in my MWE career. Sure, I got to face World Champ BROOKFORD but nothing was at stake there. Here...everything is at stake. Well, the stakes are pretty dang high..
Alex finds the MWE Riot Championship and tosses it onto her bed.
Alex Andrews :
I am defending that title against not one but two very scary individuals. And I do know what I'm getting myself into with the both of them, they aren't exactly strangers to me, now are they?
She sighs and pulls her hair back up into a pony tail.
Alex Andrews :
Clyde. The Assassin, or is it the Executioner now? So very sure of your purpose, aren't you? That you're the one fated for greatness and you'll leave a trail of bodies in your wake to prove it. And you'll get there, I have no doubt, but things didn't go quite like you envisioned come Bound For Greatness for either one of us. But the thing is, did you expect me to give you the right I did? No, of course you didn't. You spoke of time and fate and destiny, but you couldn't see how badly I wanted it, that emotion is foreign to you, I imagine. The drive, the heart to do, more be than what first impressions would suggest. I told you I'd fight like no one else to keep a hold of the Riot Championship and I did, and will continue to do.
Alex rolls her head from side to side.
Alex Andrews :
But the real party pooper was Echo, wasn't it? Out of nowhere, hitting me with The Reverb to bring about the DQ. Making one heck of a statement upon her return, at my expense, no less. I get it though, a bit of symmetry. You disappeared a few months ago instead of showing up for our match, why not pick up where you left of and perhaps grab that other Riot exclusive championship while you're at it. It all makes sense, and I'm sire, just like Clyde, you figure I'm the easiest target? The little girl whom somehow lucked her way into one of the brand's biggest belts, right? Like I said, I can see where you're coming from. But you see, I'm not the same list little girl I was when we faced off before.
She shakes her head fiercely.
Alex Andrews :
No, I found that instinct that people have said I was lacking. I have had some major ups and downs getting to where I'm at right now. I've grown as a person and a wrestler since that time and I'm not ready to put aside the title I worked so dang hard for.
Alex plops herself in the edge of the bed and pulls the Riot Championship across her lap.
Alex Andrews :
No one expected me to win this belt in the first place. No one. I had to make history to even do it. I had to become only the second person to gain the sufficient amount of defense to vye to it, going by the book, just like you did Clyde. But the first female to do so. And become the first ever two time MENTV in the process, keeping a vigilant mindset in the process. And then came Pierce, running his mouth, telling me how I wasn't good enough to be the Face of Riot. I didn't dress the part, I didn't act the part. But I did it. I proved him wrong, doing things my way, even if they didn't meet with the approval of others. MY way. You two have NO idea how much this title means to me and how far I'll go to retaining it. People have counted me out countless times in my career, but here I am, proving them wrong.
Alex gets up and grabs her suitcase and the Riot Championship and starts walking to the door.
Alex Andrews :
Let's see how far I'll go this time.
And with that, the scene fades to black as Alex exits the room.
Battle For The Briefcase Match
First Round: One Fall
Billy Danielson VS RAZEFirst Round: One Fall
WINNER: RAZE BY: Pinfall (Atomic Bomb), 0:11 |
Backstage stood Jennifer Carter, standing idly by with a look of trepidation on her face. The reason why was apparent soon enough, as the former Junior Heavyweight Champion stepped into frame, tugging on her new Chicago Fight Lab jacket? The logo was covered in stitches in an X pattern, but it was a CFL jacket all the same. Her ever arrogant smirk was present as well, as she looked down at Jenn.
Jennifer Carter:
I’m joined by the returning Echo, who made her explosive return a few short weeks ago, first by aligning with her former gym and later by interrupting the Riot Championship match between Alex Andrews and Clyde Sutter. But before that, Echo, you had dropped off the face of the planet when you lost your Junior Heavyweight Championship to JJ Night. I’m sure the question on a lot of minds is, where did you go?
Echo:
Home, JC. Home. Went to see some family and old friends, yeh? But it was interesting. My father asked me, “Juliet, what are you looking for in that ring?” And I have to tell you, I thought it was obvious what I wanted. What I craved. The competition. Everything over the last year or so has been about pissing people off to the point where they bring everything they have at me, win or lose? Whatever. Knowing that I’m pushing people to the limit, and in turn they push me? It’s what I NEED.
She looked toward the camera for what came next.
Echo:
So forgive me, Alex, Clyde. I didn’t have time to properly piss you off, I hadn’t even planned on being there until Damian cried me all sad, begging me to come watch out for our local cult of castoffs. That’s neither here nor there and we don’t care about the reasons, we don’t care about the mechanisms behind it, we care about the end result. The thing about wanting, needing to face the best? You need a title thrown over your shoulder. And, hey, I’m about ready to add a new one to my trophy case…
She put a hand on Jen’s shoulder, looking back down at her with a deadly serious look.
Echo:
Invictus. Junior Heavyweight. Riot. So don’t you two take offense to me leaving you broken in the ring, because no matter how hard you bring it, I’m walking out with the Riot Championship. I’ll break your hands to pry it from you, Alex, whatever I have to do. Clyde? I saved you before, I didn’t let her pin you. You’re welcome for that, but tonight you’re just in my way. But bring it. Everything.
Jennifer Carter:
I guess it’s safe to say your trip home maybe put things into focus, huh?
Echo:
I’ve always been focused, JC. I’ve always known what I wanted and worked on getting it. So tonight?
She smirked, patting Jennifer on the shoulder before walking off down the hall.

Back from commercial, we cut inside the ring where we find the Millennium General Manager Elsa McCarthy.
Elsa McCarthy:
Well, there are a few things we need to address so I'll try to keep this short.
Her tone was serious and heavy. And considering what the first topic she addressed was, it couldn't be otherwise.
Elsa McCarthy:
As you all saw, Julian Savell has vacated the Chicago Way championshp. I would've appreciated a lot more if he came to my office instead of putting on that coupe de theatre but I guess I shoudn't have really expected him to act as a professional.
Loud boos rose from the fans at the mention of Savell's name and his actions.
Elsa McCarthy:
A new champion will be crowned on the second stop of our Summer Beach Tour in Maui, in a six-way hardcore match. And hopefully, the next champion will respect the title and its legacy a bit more. And speaking of champions...
The boos immediately turned into cheers as the fans guessed where Elsa was going with this. Speculations whether Lowri's challenge was going to be accepted or not have been running wild all night and it was now time to hear it from the GM's mouth.
Elsa McCarthy:
The MWE World Champion BROOKFORD will be defending his title against Lowri Moss on June 17th in Maui.
The news everyone was waiting for. The cheers got so loud that they would've blown off the roof if the show was taking place inside an actual Arena. But you got the idea. When the vocal fans eventually calmed down, Elsa resumed her speech.
Elsa McCarthy:
K2O were scheduled to defend their title against Team Rainer on the same date, if they are successful tonight. But with Rainer advacing to the second round of the tournament, we agreed that the best course of action would be to allow him to focus on one match only. Should K2O walk out with the titles tonight, they will face Nightfall Rising!
The reaction of the fans wasn't as good as Elsa was expecting. A "Grrene's better than gold" chant rose from the crowd, stating clearly who they want to see K2O facing for the titles. Elsa nodded and smiled, but she didn't change her decision. Perhaps Bad & Boujee will have their shot at the champions soon?
Following a grueling match earlier in the night, Nine van der Hoek stands in a nondescript hallway, flanked by her personal guard, EMP included. Wearing a long leather trench coat over her ring gear Nine holds something of great significance in her right hand - Tiff’s MWE contact.
EMP:
So it’s ours now.
She asks, peering down at the papers.
Nine van der Hoek:
Within these walls? Entirely.
The Leader replies, a sneer on her face as she approaches her destination.
EMP:
Now, to banish her.
Nine takes a moment, letting the thought ruminate in her mind before she shakes her head.
Nine van der Hoek:
No…no. There are things worse than banishment. You just have to know where to stab, and when to twist the knife. She won’t be bothering us any longer.
She holds out a hand to one of her guards, and seconds later a ceremonial blade of sorts is placed in it - perhaps the one used to mark Trinity Thompson. Without another word, Nine places the papers on the door, stabbing through them, pinning them to the wood with the blade. EMP steps alongside Nine, a smirk growing on her face.
EMP:
Worse than banishment indeed.
Nine van der Hoek:
Come, let us pray. We have work to do.
EMP nods, following van der Hoek’s lead as she exits the scene, followed by the personal guard. The camera however lingers on the door, slowly panning out until we can see the nameplate of the door the contract is pinned to.
