2x27 THE LAST SUNSET
The Auditorioum
May 13th, 2022

In the Academy’s auditorium, were the trainers, coaches, support staff, a few lucky fans and a handful of special guests, all seated and facing the stage where the Academy students were seated. Barring, of course, Addison McKinley. She stood apart from the rest, standing at a podium with a smile on her face.
Addison McKinley:
When I was told that I was the valedictorian for this season of The Academy, I didn’t know how exactly I felt about it. I obviously put the work in, had the best run of any Gold Star over the two seasons, and probably would win a “most improved” award if such a thing existed. I was some hot garbage when I walked in, despite a few peoples best efforts. But all that said, this just feels like a bit of a… I don’t know. Despite being treated unfairly, and screwed a bit along the way, it was undeniable that I was the outright best performer on this stage. And that’s not to say that everyone up here wasn’t great in their own ways. Some ate better than the rest of us, some lost better than the rest of us, and some kissed ass better than the rest of us.
There were a few annoyed groans, some stifled laughter and a heaping of eyerolls from the Academy staff.
Addison McKinley:
But I’m not here to make bad jokes. Miss Lady around here somewhere is good enough at doing that. I’m only making this speech because I’ve decided something. I’m the Academy G.O.A.T, with the hottest run that only came to an end via quick count and the ending of the season. Better than Riley, Tiana, Olly… And you, Faizah. I admired you, thought you were pretty badass for a while, but now I know exactly what I need to do. See, I’ve signed my contract with MWE, and right now I’m exercising my right to challenge for your Cloud Gate Championship. I’m taking it, match damn one, so there is no doubt in anyone’s mind.
She looked over at Gian, who seemed a bit apprehensive.
Addison McKinley:
So whatever it is you need to do to get it done, I want it, ASAP. Long live The Academy. With some new coaches. Thanks.
Without a further glance at any of her classmates, she skipped her way off the stage over to where her original trainer, Sean was seated. The two huddled up for a bit before walking out of the auditorium, leaving The Academy behind for good.
