Singles Match
Betsy Gallagher VS Siobhan Mahoney
WINNER: Betsy Gallagher BY: Pinfall (Hexcalibur), 8:28 |
Backstage at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena we find the twins, Aliyah and Annica Greene as they finish getting ready for their upcoming match against the team of Nightfall Rising. In the background there is a running monitor that’s showing the live feed from the ringside area, though the volume is muted. Identical gear in red and white, down to the very last spangle, bead, or detail is showing off their curvy and athletic forms, and after Aliyah makes sure that Annica’s hair is just so, she turns towards the camera with a gentle and yet somehow mean expression.
Aliyah Greene:
Nightfall Rising… ain’t many out there that ain’t at least heard of y’all. Jay Gallagher and Donovan Keane.
Annica Greene:
Nightfall… Rising.
There’s a curious note in Annica’s voice as she says the name of the team, for sure.
Aliyah Greene:
We see you. Even if nobody else do, we see you. You think you seat fillers? You think you Champions? What you did once upon a time ain’t the now, and while we know that you know the nuts n’ bolts of this thing we here to do tonight…
Annica Greene:
…wrestle, ya filthy animals…
A tiny, almost adorable smirk on those full, full lips.
Aliyah Greene:
…we wonder. Why? Why is it that you all ain’t the It Team? Like, even ya name is beholden to somebody’s else’s deeds, somebody else’s glory. Now we ain’t sayin’ there’s a thing wrong in honorin’ where ya come from. Where ya got ya bones, whatever. Nope. But what there is somethin’ wrong with, is clingin’ to stuff that don’t serve you no more.
Annica Greene:
If Nightfall Rising was it? Well. You’d a done been ROSE by now! Come on! Win or lose this tonight, we need you to understand somethin’. We know who we are. We know what we capable of, but worse for you? We will outlast ya. We will figure out the puzzle and smash it if we gotta. We know HOW to get what we want, and well. Any team out there, we want to face. To get them challenges. And we will.
Aliyah Greene:
We are relentless, we are resolved, we are on the up.
Annica Greene:
We are Bad & Boujee and you about to learn ‘bout it.
The pair no look high-five and head on out off camera.

We head to the back entrance doors of the arena, where the former tag champs, K2O walk into the building. Olly looks ready for action while Karen Eldon follows along dressed in a business suit, taking her job as Olly’s advocate very seriously.
Karen Eldon:
Ok, I already forgot. Seriously, who is this Kenzie Garrett?
Olly chuckles, turning his head to Karen.
Olly:
Other than the chick who gave me a very good chuckle by dropping red paint on Andrew Raynes’ dickhead last week?
Stopping on his tracks, Olly continues by listing some of Kenzie’s accolades.
Olly:
She won the first ever Red Line and used the chance to challenge Hammerstein for the Chicago Way champion. A bold choice, Some called it a dumb choice, but I actually respect that. It took balls to challenge for his title, and beat him at his own game.
A sly grin appears on his face.
Olly:
It took even bigger balls to break in his house and scare the shit out of his wife and kids. Now if i was one to care about revenge, she wouldn’t even make it to the ring, but honestly? That was so long ago. And Holly can fuck off anyway, stupid bitch.
After giving a glimpse of his personal feelings about the closest thing to a father figure he ever had, Olly switches back to his usual demeanor.
Olly:
So yeah, she’s no slouch. Even though apparently she’s grown soft lately, thinking she’s a big shot and too good for that kind of stuff.
Karen Eldon:
So what you are saying is she is an easy paycheck?
Karen chuckles having heard all of her accomplishments and still dismissing her.
Karen Eldon:
Take her out and continue the roll you have been on lately.
Olly:
Well, that’s always the plan. And after I beat her, just like I beat Sutter, whatever Moretti says, they won’t be able to deny me anymore. It’s time I get some gold around my waist again.
Nodding her head in agreement with him.
Karen Eldon:
I think that’s going to be a lot sooner than people realize.
Karen and Olly head around the corner, looking ready for the night ahead of them.

We cut backstage to Julian Savell pacing back and forth. He soon stopped in his tracks and turned toward the camera.
Julian Savell:
I have another match tonight, this time against the fucking moron, Billy Danielson. What a bitch, am I right?
Julian let out a laugh before he continued.
Julian Savell:
Speaking of little bitches, how about Andrew Raynes? He thinks he’s tough shit because he’s the Chicago Way Champion. Boy, you better watch your fucking mouth or else I’ll take everything from you.
He stepped closer to the camera.
Julian Savell:
You know what? I think I will take it from you. Why? Because you thought it would be cute to not only lay your hands on me, but you mocked me tapping out the other week. You want to know why I tapped out? Because I’m not an idiot. It was a useless match that meant nothing. Can you even remember who I fought? Because I sure as fuck couldn’t!
He laughed and rolled his eyes.
Julian Savell:
You’re going to learn the meaning of, “when it ‘Raynes’ it pours", you little pussy. So stay out of my fucking way!
He shoved the camera aside and walked off.
It’s a cool day in Spokane, as the Greatest of All Time has returned from the dead. Walking up to the Veterans Memorial Arena in a fancy suit and Ray-Bans, Billy Danielson is officially alive again. Now that he wasn’t in Portland anymore, he is back with the living and picked a great time to be resurrected because he was about to check off a bucket list match. As he walks his bag into the venue, the camera crew approaches him and Billy begins to speak.
Billy Danielson:
For once in my career, I’m overwhelmed…
Danielson stops right at the check-in and shows his ID so he can continue on to the back.
Billy Danielson:
Not because of any opponent, or an opportunity I wasn’t expecting…
He waves at some of the road crew as he continues to walk on.
Billy Danielson:
I’m overwhelmed by the amount of support I have from people on this roster.
Billy pauses as he grabs a few snacks from Catering, stuffing them into his suit jacket before continuing down.
Billy Danielson:
So many people are ready to watch me take my place at the top of this company, from all sides. Good guy, bad guy, morally ambiguous, top of the card, curtain jerkers, and anywhere in between… it doesn’t matter...
He continues down the halls, waving at some people as he makes his way to the locker room.
Billy Danielson:
... And now I have a dream match tonight in Julian Savell…
Billy does the brain explosion motion with his free hand.
Billy Danielson:
... Which blows my mind, because I don’t think Julian and I have ever crossed paths before. We’ve had mutual friends and mutual rivals, we’ve been wrestling for the same amount of time, but we have never had a match against each other. This is a match that I’ve wanted for a long time, and I’m sure Julian feels the same!
Finally, after watching Billy walk all over the Veterans Arena, he has arrived at the locker room. Danielson stops right outside the door to finish his promo, as other people walk past him to get in.
Billy Danielson:
The point of all this optimistic rambling is that things are finally falling into place. I’ve proven myself time and time again, I have the support, and once I beat Julian Savell tonight… I think there will be no choice but to put me up against the likes of Brookford, Faizah Marshall, Alex Andrews, and the likes. No more angry edgelords costing me my matches. No more disappointing champions trying to step out of my shadow. Just me getting what I deserve, and Millenium cherishing every minute of it.
Danielson places one hand on the door of the locker room now and starts to lean on it.
Billy Danielson:
Now if you would be so kind, I’ve gotta get ready for the first day of the rest of my life as The Franchise of Millenium Wrestling!

Pre-recorded…
We are in London, England, the hometown of “The British Bombshell” Glory Braddock. And more specifically we are in a spot that was very much like a home away from home; namely, the Braddock Wrestling School where Glory began her training in her mid teens under the tutelage of her father, Glenn Braddock. And young Glory was just one of Glenn’s first three students, the other two were siblings Sophie and Mark O’Brian.
The insides of this wrestling school leaves a lot to be desired for those who enjoy good aesthetic. But Glenn Braddock never did think much of image or appearances. Therefore this school looks run down and dirty, grimy. It even smells of blood, sweat, and tears. As the camera pans around we see a ring set up near the center. Standing inside the ring are Glory Braddock and Sophie O’Brian.
Glory Braddock:
Welcome to my dad’s school. Now I know this may not seem like anything special to you, God knows I have talked about it enough, am I right? But to me I cannot help but talk about this place. This place holds a special place in my heart. This place was the rebirth of a dream and the beginning of something very, very special. See, ladies and gentlemen, my father’s dream was to be the absolute best wrestler in the world. And to him the grandest and biggest stage to prove it was the Olympic games. He wanted to participate as an amateur freestyle wrestler. But a back injury put him out of action permanently. Now others would descend into a depression after watching their dream die but not my father. He merely took his dream and gave it new life, as well as spark the birth of something new, by creating this wrestling school, a place where he would train a new generation of wrestlers to follow on in his footsteps.
Glory pats Sophie on the back.
Glory Braddock:
People like myself and Sophie here.
Sophie O’Brian:
Wrestling for many is just a way of making a quick dollar. Others it is a way to legally assault people. Still others wrestling means something much greater; for me, for Glory, wrestling in sacred. What happens inside the ring is something to be respected and honored. We respect the traditions of wrestling because of what it has given us. Wrestling gave Glory her purpose. For me, wrestling quite literally saved my life. I owe a great deal to this sport, hence my deep respect for it. Were it not for wrestling, or for Glenn Braddock, I would never have met my best friend.
Sophie pats Glory on the back.
Sophie O’Brian:
Glory, my brother Mark, and I were the first three students of Glenn Braddock. Glory was an obvious choice as she was his daughter, but Mark and I were homeless and had nowhere to go. We needed a way to survive and pay the bills. Wrestling was that method of survival. Glenn Braddock gave us the tools necessary to survive in this business and in the world. And when we finally debuted, we took the wrestling world by storm. Twenty world championships between the two of us. But how many times did Glory and I work together for a tag team championship?
Braddock makes a zero with her right hand.
Glory Braddock:
Zero. It never happened. And it is surprising to hear that because it isn’t like Sophie and I are completely foreign to tag team wrestling. For example, I have been a tag team champion in many promotions with many competitors…most famously with Brittany Lohan in MCW as Twisted & Sadistic. Also with Carrie Storm in GDW as The Allied Powers.
Sophie O’Brian:
I have held most of my tag team championships with my older brother Mark, as Total War. Though recently I won tag team championship gold here in MWE with Neil Newman as the Glorious Golden Era. But never have I won tag team gold with my best friend.
Glory Braddock:
That changes…because with the tag team titles being vacant and up for grabs in a gauntlet, Sophie and I are prepared to dive headfirst into the melee. We have already said it once but let’s say it again just to make sure every single other team thinking of entering this gauntlet heard; Sophie and I are entering ourselves into the gauntlet to crown new MWE World Tag Team Champions. And for the first time ever I will hold gold with my best friend.
Sophie smirks.
Sophie O’Brian:
It will be glorious.
Glory Braddock:
So take those tag titles and shine them up real nice, they’re coming home with me and Sophie, they are coming home with the Braddock family where they belong. Sophie will become a two time MWE World Tag Team Champion and me, well, I get my first MWE World Tag Team Title, and most importantly my first tag title reign with my best friend Sophie. Individually we are good, together we are unstoppable, and that is a fact.

We open inside of the opulent, luxurious living room of Summer Collins. The filthy rich Fabulous lady is seated in front of a fireplace with a glass of wine in hand. Collins is dressed in a tight form fitting knee length black dress and heels. A confident smirk is etched across her lovely face.
Summer Collins:
There is an old saying that goes, this isn’t a sprint it is a marathon. That can be applied to the chase for the tag team championship. And just like any marathon there are times when you are way ahead, such as when myself and Jessica defeated the MWE World Tag Team Champions Tiff and Meg. And then you have setbacks when teams like Bad and Boujee beat us at our game.
Summer’s tag team partner, “The Archangel” Jessica Lasiewicz, emerges into the scene from the left. She is wearing a red knee length dress and matching red heels. She also has a glass of wine in hand.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
Your game.
Summer Collins:
Fine, I’ll admit, I am the cheater of our team, and Bad Boujee happened to outcheat me. Fair play, ladies. I can admit when I was bested at the cheating game. But one thing I will never ever give you credit for is being intelligent. Let’s face it, I am smarter than both of you. Fabulous is smarter than both of you. Look at you, scheduled to compete on Millennium CVIII, getting that spotlight you crave, fighting to prove yourselves as the best tag team in MWE. That is so inspiring it would make me shed a tear if I had any to shed.
Summer snickers.
Summer Collins:
All I see is you two wasting your time, energy, and well-being in a match that ultimately means nothing. While Jess and I are here, resting and relaxing. Why waste our energy when our tag team title match is assured? And it isn’t like you have any advantage or edge over us. The same goes for any of the other teams competing tonight on Millennium. We are all part of the same gauntlet to crown a new set of tag team champions. Jess and I will be one hundred percent when the time comes. The rest of you?
Collins shrugs her shoulders.
Summer Collins:
Who knows?
Jessica Lasiewicz:
Summer has hits you all with some cold hard facts but now sit back and listen to while I hit you with more. The fact is that Summer and I shouldn’t even have had to go through this stupid gauntlet. We already BEAT the champions before they were injured and forced to relinquish the gold. Give us the belts…or if you are insistent on holding this gauntlet, then let the winner of the gauntlet face US for the titles. Either way, we should have an automatic shot for the titles in a straight up tag match or we should just be given the titles outright. The amount of disrespect shown to Fabulous, your absolute BEST tag team not just in MWE but the entire world, is astonishing.
The Archangel shakes her head.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
That is why we are done playing games. Bound For Greatness we will lie, cheat, steal, and do anything and everything else we absolutely have to do in order to walk away with the titles.
Summer Collins:
I could use my wealth to buy the best entry into the gauntlet?
Jessica Lasiewicz:
You could just buy the championship?
Summer Collins:
Good idea! Think Elsa and Vincent would rather have a check or cash?
Jessica Lasiewicz:
If you’re gonna try that, go straight for Grace.
Collins nods her head.
Summer Collins:
Good point.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
Point is, the tag team titles are coming back to Fabulous, one way or another, and there isn’t a damn thing anyone can do about it.

Backstage we find Kimberly Williams and her trusty and loyal friend the Dalek. Kimberly has her hand outstretched towards the Dalek. What are they doing? Let’s find out!
Kimberly Williams:
Ok, Rusty, reach out with your hand and tag me in!
Dalek:
I CANNOT!
Kimberly Williams:
What’s wrong, stupid rust bucket? Just tag me!
Dalek:
I DO NOT HAVE HANDS!
Williams rolls her eyes.
Kimberly Williams:
Ok, then just touch my hand with your plunger!
The Dalek rolls over and touches Kim’s hand with its plunger.
Dalek:
TAG! TAG! TAG! TAG! TAG!
Kimberly Williams:
Right, see how easy that was? You tag, I am in. I tag, you are in. That’s how tag team wrestling works. It’s that simple. And when we win those MWE Tag Titles…well…
Williams shrugs her shoulders.
Kimberly Williams:
...I really don’t know what I plan to do with the MWE Tag Titles if I win. I don’t make plans. Crooks, thieves, and monsters make plans. Me? I am an agent of chaos, Rusty. Because chaos is fair. So maybe I’ll burn the tag titles? Or sell them to the highest bidder? Or paint them an ugly pink color? But you and I are going to win the titles and in the process send a message to the tag teams of MWE.
Dalek:
MESSAGE RECEIVED!
Kimberly Williams:
Good! Now come on, I have more tag team stuff to teach you!
Kim skips away happily with Dalek following closely behind.
Backstage here at Millenium we see the arrival of the Cloud Gate champion herself, Faizah Marshall. Following not far behind her is Clyde Eldon Jr who has the night off in the ring, but not from helping a friend. While Faizah strides into the locker room, Clyde follows holding her bags as well the championship belt.
Clyde Eldon Jr:
Are you all ready to go?
Clyde pulls off one of her bags, setting it down in the locker room, then the other follows. Clearly Clyde is here solely to cheer on Faizah tonight.
Faizah Marshall:
I can do this all day.
Faziah said that with her trademark bullet proof confidence.
Faizah Marshall:
Just glad Elsa had the common sense to schedule my defense for tonight. Bound For Greatness is going to be a huge night for Millie and me. Two Belts Faiz becomes a reality. How do you feel about that?
Faizah turns to Clyde. She awaits his reaction to her bold proclamation of the Millennium Cheetahs possibly becoming tag champions knowing he is in the gauntlet as well.
Clyde Eldon Jr:
Not if Tiff and I have anything to say about it…
Clyde says this while clearly trying to sound comedic as to not offend her. Faizah raises her eyebrow initially, almost in shock Clyde would utter those words. That’s a fleeting moment, a smile forms on her face.
Faizah Marshall:
Clyde, you more than anyone else on the roster knows how great I am. I’m proud of Tiff for turning her career around. Facts are facts, I am better right now than Tiff is currently. Millie really really needs this. I’m gonna do my best to show that I am a much better tag partner for my bestie than all the times Trinity let Millie down. Anyway.
Faizah rests her hand on Clyde’s shoulder.
Faizah Marshall:
Remember where your loyalty lays. I am the one who believed in you when no one else would, the only reason you and Tiff are a team was because a common enemy united you both. I admit, both of you are tough as nails. Understand, I’ll never let you down. Tiff will. I’ll always be here. Tiff... I can’t say for sure. Why hasn’t she used her Red Line to challenge for the tag team championships? If she had that much faith in your team she would, right?
Looking down clearly considering what she is saying.
Clyde Eldon Jr:
I have told her not to because we have been so close already, plus that gauntlet we'll get our shot at them again. But I do know you have been on a roll. I will be happy if either of us win.
Trying to play the most political card he can here. Faizah shrugs.
Faizah Marshall:
Fair enough. Forget about the gauntlet, we’ll cross that bridge when it comes. Tonight... I need to put Jordan Parker in his place. There is no way I am losing to him when I have a very real chance to become hashtag, 2BeltsFaiz. I hear the chatter, people don’t think I’m focused on the Cloud Gate Championship.
Faiz scoffs.
Faizah Marshall:
Not true at all. Can’t help I’m ambitious. Besides, Matt Stone was able to walk around with two championships, why not me? Becoming 2BeltsFaiz will ascend me leaps and bounds over everyone else from the Academy. Yeah. I’m ready. Oh... I have been meaning to ask you about something...
Clyde looks some what excited and hopeful.
Clyde Eldon Jr:
Yes?
Faizah Marshall:
I plan to move in with Millie. We’re going to become roommates. How awesome is that? Got to move from Boston to Miami, beats dealing with the snow in the winter. If we get a place with a pool, how would you feel about becoming our pool boy? You’d do that for us, right stud?
Faizah gives Clyde the puppy dog eyes.
Clyde Eldon Jr:
Oh um of course! That would be fun for us to all hang out by the pool!
Faizah doesn’t hesitate to give Clyde a huge hug.
Faizah Marshall:
Thanks, you’re the best. Planet Faizah all day long.
Faizah breaks the embrace. She composes herself.
Faizah Marshall:
I got a championship match to prepare for. Can you go to catering, bring me back a cup of coffee please? And some fruit. Preferably a banana.
Clyde Eldon Jr:
Of course! Be right back.
Clyde rushes out of the room as Faizah takes a seat in the locker room. Getting poised and ready to go for her match.

The screen flickers a few moments, cutting to a scene in front of a brick wall. Standing in front of the wall is none other than Valkyrie, the Dane busy arranging a number of pine boards on a metal frame that was braced up against the wall.
Valkyrie:
So… I finally snapped. I’m absolutely fucking sick of the shit thats gone down recently. Losing my tag team partner and best friend in a Tag Match, being snubbed from Millennium’s Centennial Show. Let me fill you in on a little secret: That Hardcore match that turned out to be a suprise was my idea originally, to be a few people in the ring in a Deathmatch, which I volunteered myself for. And what happens? It becomes more people in the watered down “Hardcore” style, and I’m not even asked to take part in that. Then the Pay Per View, Dark Web. Everyone else gets a choice of matches, and I don’t? I’m put in a Bullshit match that I wasn’t prepared for with the rules because of its pure, undiluted fucking stupidity. No, that was fucking bullshit and made me feel a fucking moron!
The Dane frowned, the pine board in her hands warped as she twisted it, there was a moment it was looking like it was about to snap, but she slapped it into the stack of boards on the frame.
Valkyrie:
So I made the decision of my own choice, I decided that if Millenium doesn’t want to play ball with me anymore, I’m going to do things my way that suit me better. If I’m going to be snubbed and ignored by everyone in Upper Management, I’m going back to what made me successful, not giving a fuck about anyone elses rules, doing what I need to do to be successful and you know what? I don’t give a fuck if I hurt anyone, from feelings of Upper Management because I let them know they’re an absolute fucking *beep*bag, or anyone stupid enough to get in my way and ends up with an aching jaw.
Valkyrie rolled her eyes, a side glance off camera uttering something about “*beep*bag” likely being censored out on the broadcast
Valkyrie:
Like I care. They are fucking *beep*bags and they fucking know it!
Then the blue eyes snapped back to the camera.
Valkyrie:
Now apart from the few people who I actually respect, Herr Steiner, Lowri Moss, Dusty Douglas and Devon Slayton, they are the only people who don’t need to fear the Hand of the High Queen. Everyone else, doesn’t matter if you like my new attitude, doesn’t make a blind bit of difference to me, I will punch your god's damned jaw off your face and leave you to wake up puking your guts out with a splitting headache. But you will learn to Bow to the High Queen…
Then it happened, Valkyrie spun on the spot as she threw a spinning backfist into the boards. The strike, thrown with technique and power, just passed through each pine board with the cracking of the wood, followed by the tumble as the pieces fell to the floor below…
As the attention of the camera switches elsewhere, Jennifer Carter is seen standing somewhere backstage, microphone in hand.
Jennifer Carter:
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time… Lowri Moss!
The camera pans out, and the audience responds with a loud cheer, as the popular young woman from South Wales comes into view. Lowri is dressed in her ring attire, ahead of her upcoming match, together with an Irish Whip Clothing branded Wrestling, Innit? t-shirt and a backwards snapback.
Jennifer Carter:
Well, Lowri, I guess I ought to start by wishing you a happy birthday!
Lowri smiles gratefully at the interviewer.
Lowri Moss:
Thank you, Jenny. And where better for me to spend the final few hours of my day than here in Spokane, for Millennium?
The mention of the show’s location of course elicits a cheap pop.
Jennifer Carter:
We’ll discuss tonight’s main event shortly, but first I just want to ask you about the match that you were in this past Sunday, on Riot.
Lowri gestures for Jen to proceed.
Jennifer Carter:
You faced Devin Hearst, in what was one of the most anticipated matches of the night. It was a hard-fought contest, which at times looked like it could go either way, with both of you scoring near falls, but in the end though, the match finished in a double countout, a result that I don’t think anyone was satisfied with– how do you feel about what happened?
Lowri nods her head.
Lowri Moss:
Hard-fought is right, Jenny! The match was everything that I expected it to be, and more, with me and Devin going at it hammer and tongs for the better part of twenty minutes, neither of us giving an inch… only for it to then end, rather disappointingly, or frustratingly, in a double countout.
She then lets out a sigh.
Lowri Moss:
As you said, Jenny, I don’t think anyone was satisfied with the outcome: the fans clearly weren't… I could tell Devin wasn’t, judging by his reaction… and I wasn’t happy with it either; should he and I meet again, at some point in the future, hopefully then we’ll get a proper, more definitive ending.
Jen nods in agreement.
Jennifer Carter:
That’s something that I’m sure all of the MWE fans would love to see. For now though, it’s time to focus on what comes next, and after a match with someone that you had never faced before, tonight you have a match against an opponent who you are very familiar with.
Lowri interjects.
Lowri Moss:
That’s an understatement, to say the least.
Jennifer Carter:
In our main event, you’re going to be facing the man who is your other half, and your… former tag team partner–
Jen says that last part with an upward inflection, evidently unsure as to whether or not Lowri and Gareth should still be referred to as a tag team. Lowri responds with a shrug, seemingly uncertain herself, after having only teamed with the former Neal Durden once since the beginning of last year.
Jennifer Carter:
I am of course referring to Gareth Prichard Jr. Now I know that the two of you have already been opponents a number of times in your careers, but how did you react when you found that you were going to be facing each other here tonight, on your birthday?
The smile on Lowri’s face broadens slightly.
Lowri Moss:
First and foremost, Jenny, I’m elated to finally be getting to wrestle on my birthday. I’ve been wrestling for going on for six years now, and this is the second time during my career that a promotion I work for has held a show on my birthday, but on the only previous occasion, three years ago, I wasn’t booked on the show, which I was quite disappointed about, so I’m really pleased to finally be getting to spend my birthday doing the one thing that makes me happiest. And as for Gareth being my opponent, well, like I tweeted earlier, when the card for the show was released, there’s no one who I would rather be spending today with. Plus I need to kick his arse anyway, as he hasn’t sent a tweet yet to say happy birthday to me– I mean, he said it to me in person, but if it's not on Twitter or Facebook, then it doesn't count, right?
Lowri does not make the rules, she just adheres to them. ‘Pics or it didn’t happen,’ and all that.
Lowri Moss:
Seriously though, Jenny, Gareth and I were probably due for another match. As you said, we’ve already been opponents a number of times before, in various different matches: tag matches, battle royals, and up to now, four - I think - one-on-one matches. I won the first one, five years ago; a year later we had a match that ended in a time limit draw, the following year I beat him again, and then two years ago, in our most recent one-on-one match, he finally managed to defeat me.
Another sigh escapes her lips.
Lowri Moss:
When I asked to be removed from the Cloud Gate title tournament, back in January, Gareth complained that he wanted to beat me again, that he needed that second win– well, now he has his chance. However, I’m going to force him to have to wait longer for that second win– I’m going to mark my twenty-seventh birthday by improving my record in our head-to-head to three, one and one.
She gives a wink to the camera.
Jennifer Carter:
You mentioned the different types of matches that you’ve been opponents in previously, and now your match tonight is going to be a thirty-minute iron man match– does that favor one of you over the other?
Lowri shakes her head.
Lowri Moss:
I don’t think it particularly favours either of us. I’ve never been in an iron man match before now, but then I’m not sure that Gareth has either. I guess the closest thing to it that I've been in so far in my career is a two out of three falls match, of which I’ve won over half a dozen, including of course my match last year at Domino Effect with Melissa Reeves. I’ve also wrestled for over thirty minutes countless times in the past, again including that match with Melissa, so stamina, endurance? Definitely not going to be an issue for me.
Following the briefest of pauses, Lowri continues.
Lowri Moss:
No one knows me better than Gareth does, Jenny– and vice versa. Together we've been best friends, teammates, champions, and lovers, but when we set foot inside that ring with one another shortly, neither of us is going to have any mixed emotions, neither of us is going to hold anything back, neither of us is going to hesitate to do what we need to do in order to win. What has set me apart from Gareth for much of our respective careers though is my consistency, my level never drops, and I’m confident of showing once more that my level is just that little bit higher than his.
