MILLENNIUM presents: Deep Six
Live from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH
Wednesday, November 21, 2018
The show comes live inside the Quicken Loans Arena, where all lights turned to a shade of red, reference to the dominant color of the Deep Six poster. The same image appears on the tron as "When Legends Rise" by Godsmack blares out of the loudspeakers. On the stage, the usual display of pyrotechnics explode, as the camera moves to the announcer table where Jared Idol and Bea Torres welcome the fans and tell them that, before the shows starts, there will be an announcement from the Millennium General Manager.
Vivaldi's "La Tempesta Di Mare" starts playing, and Gianluigi Vaccaro walks down the ramp, entering the ring.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Good evening Cleveland and welcome to Deep Six!
There's the usual round of cheers from the fans.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
And to all the fans watching us at home on MENTV. Since the moment I accepted my role as GM of Millennium, I started to wonder what I could do to improve the already high quality of the shows. What, if anything at all, is Millennium missing? And the answer was right before my eyes...
A small pause for dramatic effect.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
I made a few calls, finalized a few deals and I'm proud to announce that starting next wednesday, we are kicking off a tournament to crown the first ever Millennium Tag Team Champions.
The news is welcomed with a huge pop by the crowd.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Trust my word, I'm bringing to Millennium some of the best tag teams in the world. You want some names?
He smirks as a YES chant rises from the very vocal crowd.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Well, we'll be announcing them in the next few days. Keep your eyes on Millennium's social media accounts.
Backstage at the Quicken Loans Arena we are able to see Christina Rose walking with her glasses on she is wearing her Mega Man inspired gear. Her long hair is cascading down her back and she chuckles as she looks at the camera and begins to speak.
Christina Rose:
Hello to all of my blossoming roses out there. I am the one and only blossoming one of this company. I am Christina Rose and tonight a Deep Six with everything beating inside of me I promise to get my very first win in this company. It’s been a really rough start so far. I feel like this platformer has been the hardest one that I ever had to play yet. Every time I try to make the right jumps it seems like I jump right into a pit of spikes and I have to redo the board over and over again. Sometimes it seems to get to be very frustrating because there is no check point so I have to redo the same thing over and over again.
Christina shakes her head in disgust offering a long drawn out sigh as she continues to speak.
Christina Rose:
It’s been complete madness having to be fodder to Selina Metzger and getting laughed at by my peers over and over again. I did step into the ring for a fatal four way match but that really didn’t go in the way that I had hoped for it to go either so it’s been the case of dealing with the same shit over and over again. I thought the last show was really going to be my chance but after being dealt a partner who wanted nothing to do with me so where was I to go?!
Christina shakes her head with a sigh.
Christina Rose:
Quite often it gets a little rough having to deal with the same things over and over again. Especially when nothing I do ever results in a win and I know for a fact that I am way better than that. I have four Hall of Fame rings I been in this game for a while and I am not going to let these setbacks keep me back from what I am really destined to do. I was meant to ascend to the top of the company and the pecking order. I was meant to do great things and I can’t do that if I constantly drop the ball in matches that I know I should be winning. The deck I was dealt has often sucked but this is where I change things around. This is where things get better and I hopefully find myself in a good place to where I can be a game changer and I will have the skills and the codes to take me far.
Christina smiles again.
Christina Rose:
What exactly are those codes?! I would like to call it hard work and dedication… There should be no reason why a Kane is ahead of me in any shape or form in this company. I know for a fact I am better than Britty Kane, hell I am better than Kate Steele, better than Jennifer Yang, and anybody else in this company. I am Crystal fucking Hilton and I deserve all of the respect! I deserve every single thing. I just need to get over that first and most crucial win and from there I know the sky is the limit!
Christina shakes her head offering a long sigh as she looks back at the camera.
Christina Rose:
My ego is a little bruised seeing me in the opening match every single week. I know my place is further up the card and it shouldn’t go to the likes of those new wrestlers who have joined the company and find themselves further up. This is my destiny! I deserve to blossom and I won’t have anything make me wither away. So bring everything because you can rest assured I will be right here and I will find my place. It’s showtime!
With that Crystal blows a kiss to the cameras as we go to elsewhere.
Singles Match
Christina Rose VS VengenceThe opening match of Deep Six is a contest between two wrestlers who have yet to find their first win in Millennium. Vengence brings his usual speed and high flying style, and Christina is out here to give him a run for his money. She starts a series of armdrags, tossing her opponent around and eventually transitioning into an arm lock. Rolling around, Vengence manages to escape the hold and lock her in a waistlock, pushing against the ropes and surprising her with an O’Connor Roll for a count of two. As the match goes on with a quick pace, Christina catches her opponent with a Scoop Slam, very effective to stop the momentum Vengence was building but not enough for her to win the match. The Blossoming Rose seems more focused than she has ever been, dodging the opponent’s kicks and answering with one of her own. A second kick is blocked by Vengence, but Crystal answers with an Enziguri Kick. With the opponents down, she goes for her Smell The Roses, a handspring standing moonsault. Vengence lifts a shoulder up, but he still seems pretty rocked by Christina’s kick. Struggling to get up to his feet with the help the ropes, the member of the New World finds himself on the receiving end of Crystal’s offense. After a quick series of right hands, she drops him on the mat with a legsweep, quickly transitioning into the Power Absorption. Vengence tries to hold on, but eventually he has no other choice but to tap out. WINNER: Christina Rose BY: Submission (Power Absorption), 5:39 |
Jared Idol: "And here it is, finally. The first win in Millennium for Christina Rose"
Bea Torres: "Well done girl! I'm sure this will be the first on of many!"
Jared Idol: "I don't know, Vengence is not exactly up there in the ranks..."
Bea Torres: "And? It's all about confidence, Jared. This win tonight is the turning point of her career, I can feel it"
The lights fade to a pale pink, and the screen comes to life with heavy static, showing a silhouette of a woman moving slowly towards the foreground. Mocking feminine laughter erupts over the speakers, bleeding into the driving guitars of Jet's "She's a Genius". The images on the screen shift, melting away as though doused in acid. Images flash, clips of a petite blonde woman dominating both men and women in the wrestling ring. Some of these scenes are very blurry and it's hard to tell if the woman is even Nessa or someone who just vaguely resembles her— that is until the scene of Nessa capturing the Millennium Briefcase fills the screen before exploding into a firework display that also sends pink and silver sparks raining down from the edge of the video screen over the ramp.
Nessa Wall steps out amid the shower of sparks and stands there for a moment, staring straight ahead at the ring as they die down. She doesn't look impressed in the least. Rather than continue down to the ring, she stops and motions for the music to cut, bringing a microphone to her lips the moment it does.
Nessa Wall:
This is discrimination. This is a hostile work environment. This is... for lack of a better word... a TRAVESTY!
The crowd's already restless, a few happy to show their displeasure for the outspoken Canadian.
Nessa Wall:
Crystal Hilton... Christina Rose... Chickie Zdunich... whatever she's calling herself these days was already punishment enough. Forcing someone of my caliber to tag with useless trash like that, someone who hops from one company to the next on a whim and can't buy a win to save her life... well that's downright punishment. Of course, I walked out. Any one of you would have done the same!
The crowd boos and she waves them off, shaking her head.
Nessa Wall:
Oh, stop it. You know it's true. Just like you know that there's no way this company can have a successful show without yours truly. Is this what Grace wanted? To oust me from my home via mistreatment? Is this the future of Millennium now? Recycled, rehashed garbage week-in and week-out? The same people in the Main Event until the whole world grows tired and stops watching? No! Absolutely not! The Millennium that I was proud to call home was ground-breaking, was mind-blowing... every week the bar was set just a little higher. And then people like Ace Watson and Christopher Kane started to whine, started to grow too big for their britches. People like Grace and her cronies started to scheme... and now... the company's greatest asset is left off the most important show for 'disciplinary measures'? No. I can't abide that. I truly cannot and I've been silent far too long on this matter, letting my frustrations build.
She's pacing. Gesticulating wildly to illustrate her outrage.
Nessa Wall:
I kept my mouth shut because I trusted Chuck's judgement. I had faith that our team would be victorious and I admit that I didn't see the double-cross coming. I was blind and willfully ignorant, oblivious because I was focused on him rather than the machinations of a madwoman! Love is the worst sort of blinders a woman can wear.
She sighs, shaking her head.
Nessa Wall:
Yes. I said love. I suppose there's no mistaking my affections, is there?
Someone yells out, "WHOOOOOORRRRRE!" and a few variations on that theme ripple across the capacity crowd.
Nessa Wall:
I know it's hard, but can we try to keep this civil and professional? I only have a little bit more time and... see, I loved this company. I loved working here. I truly did. And now, it's changed. This is not the place I called home. This is not the company that Chuck Matthews saved, the company that he turned into the greatest place to work! This is a joke and it breaks my heart to see so many people up on the bandwagon, so eager to forget. My memory is perfectly fine. My senses and my sanity intact – I can see this nightmare that's looming, and I have no desire to suffer in endless misery and boredom, watching as the talent fades away, replaced with vacuous stooges to Grace Van Beek's nonsensical crusade to destroy everything that's good about professional wrestling. I refuse to bow, to be broken by the crime that's been perpetrated against me tonight. I want this to serve as a warning: I refuse to stand idly by, dulled by cowardice or lulled to sleep by empty promises!
The crowd's so loud they almost drown her out, a chant of, "GO HOME, NESSA!" starting up and taking almost a full three minutes to die down again. She waits it out, looking even more annoyed by the time it does.
Nessa Wall:
Now, if I can continue without being rudely interrupted? Thank you. This is my promise to you, my solemn vow as the last sane person left in this locker room. This is a time for action, a time to cast trinkets and well-used trophies aside. We're still at war, people! That's what you don't understand. You're being fed lies. Tonight, I'm going to bring the truth to light. I'm going to stand up for what I believe in. I'm going to-
She keeps talking but the microphone has been cut. Angrily, she hammers on it a few times with her palm and then throws it down in a huff. It looks as though she mouths the words, "you'll be sorry for this," before she turns and storms off back behind the curtain. At her departure, the crowd finally starts to cheer for the first time since her music hit the sound system.
Backstage on the locker room door, the camera sees Luna's name on her door upon a golden star fixture. She's focused on her upcoming title match tonight and walking in front of people on the way to her locker room as her suede knee high heel boots fill the room with sound. She's so focused that she doesn't realise opening the door almost hits… DA #TROLL GUY, Mariano Fernandez, who barely manages to place a hand between the door and his face.
Mariano Fernandez:
Ow!
He looks at Luna as her eyes turn to him.
Mariano Fernandez:
Hey yo. How you doing, mang? Little birdie told me that you had a title shot tonight, so I came here to check on you and see how you’re doing.
He gives her a smile as she quips to him.
Luna:
Mimi told you? Or you bribed Bree for another pair or shoes? No, you clearly must have followed the Star of the Night and seen I'm fighting Kate Steele tonight.
Luna says out of her focused trance and keeps her hand on the door handle of her exclusive locker room door. Manny takes his hand to his chin.
Mariano Fernandez:
… I might have heard Mimi and Bree might have told me to follow the Star of the Night, mang. But yes, Kate Steele you face tonight. Lockdown title, I’m told.
He winces, imagining the pain of submissions.
Mariano Fernandez:
Never pretty when someone has you in a hold trying to make you tap out, chica.
Luna:
Kate will be tapping out tonight. Don't listen to her feed, you follow me, I'm the Star Follower to have.
Luna presses her finger in his chest to assert herself. Mariano looks briefly at her finger, then back at her face.
Mariano Fernandez:
Not for the whole world, mang. Still, you got plenty of talent to be competing from what I’ve seen. Kitty Owens, Melissa Reeves, Vivienne Robichaud and Aurora.
He tilts his head to the side, and gives her a sly smile.
Mariano Fernandez:
So make sure people talk about this as the match of the night!
Luna:
It will be. The Star of the Night's crowning glory as Lockdown champion.
Luna pulls her hand back to draw a title upon her waist. Mariano nods, slamming his fist against his palm
Mariano Fernandez:
THAT’s the spirit, mang. Go get ’em, and give them a hell of a show. I’ll be cheering for you in the front row.
Luna:
Are you mansplaining how to wrestle to me?
Mariano recoils as if he’s been slapped.
Mariano Fernandez:
Wh-WHAAAAAAAAA!? I mean - I’d never mansplain anything, mang!
He looks away, somewhat embarrassed, then back at her face.
Mariano Fernandez:
Please forgive me if I did that, mang. Wasn’t my intention, I promise.
Luna:
if you do me a favour to make it up to me.
Luna then checks her smartwatch to see how long she had to wait for Manny to decide. It wasn’t long, as he stood up straight as a soldier.
Mariano Fernandez:
At your command, chica.
Luna:
You stand guard and don't let either Kace Matthews, who exposed his buttocks to me, nor Kaleb Bass near me. He told me he was going to try and meet me and I'm too focused on my Lockdown Championship for fans and full moons.
Mariano nods once more, decidedly, and slashes the air with one arm.
Mariano Fernandez:
Ain’t no one coming near you without your consent, chica.
Kneeling as if he were a knight, he rises his head to meet her gaze.
Mariano Fernandez:
This I vow.
Luna:
Don't fail me. I'm a star in the ring but a powerful enemy outside it…
She says using her finger again to guide his chin up to look at her, then leaving him with a little, harmless scratch to make her point. Mariano gulps, knowing that she means business.
Mariano Fernandez:
Not on my life, chica.
Standing up again, he backs away from the door.
Mariano Fernandez:
I’ll be standing guard here as you get ready. Not one fly is coming in without my say so, okay?
Luna:
Make sure you do.
As Luna heads inside her locker room to get her mat down and begin her meditation, closing the door at this point.
Singles Match
D'Angelo Blackwell VS Kamila RoseIt’s a very different D’Angelo Blackwell the one walking to the ring tonight, wearing a Goon Squad t shirt. And very different is also the reaction of the crowd, who’s letting him know they didn’t appreciate him joining the stable that has been hijacking EVO for the past few months. The bell rings, Kamila naively extends her hand, expecting a show of sportsmanship for the former [R]evolution Champion that, obviously, doesn’t return the gesture. Instead, he hits her with a right punch straight to the jaw, starting a series of strikes that sends Rose back in the corner. The relentless assault doesn’t stop, with kicks and stomps coming in now that Kamila finds herself sitting in the corner, defenseless. Only the referee’s intervention and the threat of a disqualification eventually stops Dlo, who takes a few steps, allowing Kamila to stand back up on her feet before charging again and hitting her with a European Uppercut in the corner. The dominant performance of Blackwell continues, as he disposes of Kamila, toying with her before dropping her head first on his knee with the People’s Crown. The massacre seems to be over when he drops over her and hooks the leg, watching the referee count one two and … The count stops as D’Angelo lifts her opponent’s shoulder, effectively breaking the pin. The crowd boos loudly as the referee asks him what the hell he’s doing. D’Angelo shakes his head, picking up over his shoulders in an electric chair position dropping her with the Dark Age. And this time, it’s really over. The statement is made. WINNER: D'Angelo Blackwell BY: Pinfall (Dark Age), 4:49 |
Jared Idol: "Impressive win by Blackwell."
Bea Torres: "I don't like this Goon stuff. Not even a little bit"
Jared Idol: "He does, and it seems to work just fine for him"
The cameras switch to an area backstage at Quicken Loans Arena, where Chloe Collins is seen stood with Selina Metzger. Ahead of her big match later in the show, “Der Übermensch” is dressed in her ring attire, together with a replica Germany football jersey.
Chloe Collins:
Thanks for joining me, Selina.
Selina responds silently to Chloe, acknowledging her with a nod.
Chloe Collins:
Later on tonight, you’re going to be challenging Britty Kane for the Cloud Gate Championship, in what will be the first opportunity you’ve had to compete for a title here in Millennium Wrestling. How are you feeling ahead of what is undoubtedly your biggest match so far in Millennium, and dare I say, the biggest match so far in your career?
Selina’s face bears a small smile, as she replies to the reporter.
Selina Metzger:
You’re right, Chloe; this certainly is the biggest match that I’ve been in so far in my career. With the success that I’ve had since I arrived in Millennium, it’s easy to forget that I only made my pro debut back in August, and while I have gotten to compete for tag team gold elsewhere, this is the first chance that I’ve had to win a singles championship. And as for how I’m feeling?
She runs a hand through her long, purple hair.
Selina Metzger:
I’m not nervous, Chloe, if that’s what you were expecting me to say.
Her smile broadens to resemble something of a smirk.
Selina Metzger:
I admitted a few weeks ago that the winning streak I’ve put together since coming to Millennium has surpassed even my own expectations. When I made my debut in September, as an unproven rookie, I wouldn’t have thought that just a couple of months later, I would be in contention for a title. But here I am, six matches later, six wins later, and with some of the opponents that I’ve already beaten - including the current Lockdown Champion, Kate Steele - I’m not nervous whatsoever.
Selina gives a shake of her head.
Selina Metzger:
Instead, I’m full of confidence. I know that I belong in this match - no one can tell me that I haven’t earned this shot - and I’m confident that later tonight, I’m going to make it seven wins out of seven, and that I’m going to be leaving Cleveland as the new Cloud Gate Champion.
Chloe Collins:
You just mentioned the non-title match you had last month with Kate Steele, and it was following your win in that match that you were given the opportunity to challenge for a championship of your choice. However, when you decided to go after the cloud gate title, I’m guessing that you would’ve been anticipating having a one-on-one match, and not the triple threat match that you now find yourself in.
Selina lets out a slight sigh.
Selina Metzger:
When I made my choice, I did assume that this match would simply be me versus Britty Kane, one-on-one for her title, but... not long after I had informed our new General Manager of my decision, it became apparent that Dane Archer also had his sights set on the Cloud Gate Championship, and so here we all are, in a triple threat match.
Chloe Collins:
Would you have preferred it just to a one-one-one match, you versus Britty?
There is a nonchalant shrug from Selina.
Selina Metzger:
Maybe. I’m not going to stand here and complain though. There’s nothing I can do to change things, even if I wanted to. Besides, when I was granted a shot at a title of my choosing, the type of match that I would be in wasn’t specified, nor was it specified how many opponents I would have in the match, so… I suppose it could be worse. And I do think there’s a certain irony about the way that the match has come together, with me having gotten this opportunity from Chuck Matthews, while Dane Archer was rewarded by Grace van Beek...
A wry smile now crosses her face.
Selina Metzger:
Regardless of how many opponents I’m in the ring with, I’m always going to back myself to come out on top, and tonight is no different. The way I see it, Chloe, the fact that this is a triple threat match, rather than a one-on-one match, means that I have the chance to add two names to the list of people that I’ve beaten in Millennium, instead of just the one.
Chloe Collins:
What are your thoughts on your two opponents?
Selina Metzger:
They’re two very capable wrestlers, and with their respective attributes, they’re each going to pose different challenges for me to deal with. Britty Kane has been the Cloud Gate Champion for three months now, and with how she has performed during that time, she has shown herself to be a deserving champion, whereas Dane Archer is a threat to anyone, just with his size alone - he even makes me look small!
Selina chuckles to herself.
Selina Metzger:
Obviously I saw the match the two of them had last week, when Britty barely escaped with a win, and I’ve gone back and watched other past matches of theirs, to prepare for what I’m going to come up against. They of course both have an experience advantage over me - a significant one in Dane’s case - but my record here in Millennium speaks for itself. I’ve already displayed an ability to adapt to different opponents, to different styles, and like I said earlier, I’m confident that I can overcome whatever Britty and Dane throw at me, and that I can leave here tonight as the Cloud Gate Champion.
She pauses to take a breath, before continuing.
Selina Metzger:
Since I initially appeared in this promotion, I’ve had a number of firsts: I won my first singles match... I won my first no disqualification match... and tonight, I’m either going to win my first championship in Millennium, or I’m going to suffer my loss here. And I don’t plan on losing.
She then utters something in her native German.
Selina Metzger:
Selina über alles.
That translates into English as “Selina above all others,” and with a confident expression on her face, “Der Übermensch” walks off, as the camera cuts away.
Everything comes into focus and as it does we are treated to the backstage area and it is there where we can see Teddy Steele along with his wife Kate Steele. Kate can be seen doing a split on two chairs as she has the Lockdown championship on the floor in front of her. She just offers a very drawn out sigh as Teddy smiles looking into the camera.
Teddy Steele:
Babe this is it we are finally here in Cleveland Ohio for Deep Six!
Kate nods her head as she continues to stretch as she shakes her head in disgust as she lifts her head up and slowly shakes her head her at the camera.
Kate Steele:
Oh is that what this fucking dump is?! The city whose Football Franchise just sucks. Sucks to the point they tried to draft a quarterback to bring a breath of fresh air and they still suck. A franchise who hasn’t won since I can’t tell you when, and of course there are the Cleveland Cavaliers who want to be such an amazing basketball franchise but LeBron got the fuck out so this city is left to be a dump again. Colour me not interested nor am I impressed.
Kate just blows it off as she continues to do what she is doing but that is when her husband just shakes his head as he looks back at his wife.
Teddy Steele:
But this is such a huge show tonight and the world can witness you with yet another title defense.
Kate Steele:
Cheers something that will bloody go right in this company right? The truth is what is there to cheer about? If it’s about me competing in the ring that it always a good thing but look at who I am facing. I get to be in the ring with Luna a woman who claims herself to be a star but in my eyes she is nothing more than a flash in the pan. A woman who isn’t even fit to be in the same bloody ring with me. I am going to have her screaming tonight because she gets to face me under Siren rules which means she is in my playground.
Kate chuckles again as she continues to speak.
Kate Steele:
Do you know in how many ways the human body can bend?! I am going to twist her in so many ways she isn’t going to know what to do. I am going to twist her perhaps I might break one of her arms or I might just choke her out. In a match contested under Siren rules I will have my share of fun and none of it is going to be fun for her. She will be made humble and in turn she is going to find herself going all the way to the back of the line to where she belongs. I don’t have time to waste with new people to this company who feel they can build a streak and then immediately they run into the brick wall that is me!
Kate shakes her head in utter disgust as she continues to speak.
Kate Steele:
I had to bust my fucking arse to get this Lockdown Championship. After getting screwed repeatedly out of the Cloud Gate Champion when everybody knows I beat GVBs dumb ass I had to work my way up to fighting Zelda Gibbons and taking the title off of her and ever since that day this title hasn’t gone anywhere so why should I start that trend now?!
Kate shakes her head in utter disgust as she continues to share her heart to the cameras.
Kate Steele:
But tonight I get to face somebody who got lucky in a fatal four way match and all of a sudden that gives her the right to challenge me?! That is a load of bullshit. I am way better than that and I deserve better than to face these nobodies who come into the company and immediately are shot up the ranks. I have earned my place in this company and I know I am the champion this company deserves and that this belt needs.
Teddy Steele:
So what she is saying Zelda is that my lovely wife is about ready to sing.
Kate Steele:
Of course I am ready to sing… We call that my Siren’s Song and when a Siren is ready to sing that can only mean that your demise is on it’s way. I got you in my enchantment. Once I finish this song that will leave you shipwrecked and there’s nothing you can do at that point. I would say that this Star you talk up so much will officially fade away. It was only a big ball of burning gas anyway but my shine is forever great. I will keep shining above all else. I am tired of being disrespected by Selina, by GVB, and by anybody else who feels I don’t deserve this moment. So bring it Luna but don’t be surprised if you cry like a little bitch by the end of deep six. Cleveland it’s been fun but I got a bitch to twist and a man to fuck in the hotel room afterwards cheers!
With that Kate gets off of the chair she grabs her championship off of the ground as she walks away with a arrogant grin on her face.
Lockdown Championship
Steele Submission
Kate Steele (c) VS Luna
The first title on the line is the Lockdown Championship, as always contested under the Steele Submission rules. The referee reminds it to both contestants, before calling for the bell and kicking off the match. The two woman circle around, with Luna carefully trying to stay away from the champion, recognising her superiority on the mat. Eventually Kate grabs her arm, twisting it behind her back in an hammerlock. Luna tries some evading maneuvers, but the champion is always one step ahead of her, switching from a rest hold to another. Eventually, she puts her boot behind Luna’s leg while holding her head in a side headlock, forcing her to her knees. The pattern of this match seems clear, Kate keeps the pace slow de facto depriving the Star Of The Night of her most dangerous weapon, her speed. And while doing so, the champion keeps targeting her neck area, wearing her out and opening the way to the Siren’s Song, the Triangle Choke that already gave her so many victories. Luna, on the other hand, is struggling to find her footing, finding herself now grounded and locked in deep in a crossface. The ropes are too far for her to reach, and the submission so tight that for a moment she seems to be considering to tap out. But the stakes are too high tonight. Digging deep, she rolls over, and again, eventually managing to break free not without some struggle. She’s on her fours, holding her neck and trying to catch her breath when Kate kicks her ribs. Luna rolls on the back, her hands now on the side. quickly moving them to protect her face as Steele climbs on top of her and starts punching the Star Of The Night. Eventually Luna wiggles free and retreats outside the ring. Things suddenly turn in her favor when Kate drives her face first against the corner. Luna seems stunned, but if you watch her carefully, you can see her working to take off the pad protecting the post. She turns around, dropping it outside the ring and facing the charging opponent, moving away at the last moment and watching her crushing against the exposed turnbuckle. Kate scream in pain, while Luna grabs her arm, twists it and steps outside the ring, taking a few steps on the apron before jumping down, dragging her arm against the top rope. Kate holds her shoulder in pain, but Luna is quickly back on the attack, grabbing once again by the wrist for an arm ddt. The shoulder is a clear target now for Luna and all her offence is obviously focused there. Stomps, knee drops… Even the Starstorm, her discus spinning roundhouse is aimed to that right shoulder, inflicting further damage. With the opponent agonizing, Luna tries to apply an armbar, but her set up is a bit too cumbersome, given her lack of familiarity with the move. Kate manages to avoid disaster and pushes her back, following up with a Bicycle Kick that knocks the challenger off her feet. It’s Kate’s turn to go for the win, trying to apply her Siren’s Song, quickly finding out that applying a Triangle Choke with one arm can be tricky. Luna escapes, stomping her shoulder once again for good measure and, this time, successfully applying the armbar. Kate tries to resist but eventually she’s forced to tap out. On her third match in Millennium, Luna walks out with the Lockdown Championship. WINNER: Luna (New Champion) BY: Submission (Armbar), 10:49 |
Jared Idol: "She did it! We have a new champion!"
Bea Torres: "Whaaaaat?!
Jared Idol: "Aye. Luna is the new Lockdown Champion and i am curious to see which stipulation she's going to pick."
Figgy paced the parking lot, flanked by hoody clad ninjas. Figgins pulled back his gas mask to reveal a wild glint in those green eyes. His less than fruitful return to the ring seeming to weigh upon him after all these months. A flaming trash can illuminated the circle.
Jacob Figgins:
These days I'm called a dinosaur.Told to sit back and adore the war lore of days long before. In my core, I abhor the idle roar.I wont lie on the floor while there's still a door in the fore to bore through.Too few knew of the times I slew, and needed a damn oar to soar through the gore. The Figglecorps still sore and ready to pour the whore spore. Vapour when I pulled back the drawer of anger in store since 2004.
He breathed loudly through his teeth after the first verse. Seeming only to prepare for a quicker, more aggressive cadence
Jacob Figgins:
Black eyes spy. From the sky up high, I'm ready to fly cause I'm not the guy who's camera shy.I sigh as i vie for a piece'a this pie. Can't fly, so must try this ladder
Gotta be like the damn badger with a lather. Be the dispatcher of the trapper bite down as an adder. Should be full but must get fatter. No time for chatter, gotta splatter the matter of this goofy actor named Libby.
Silly dizzy goof. Honkin goose, clamouring for youth. You ain't news. You about to lose. Choose your spoof the Figgle still aloof. Hoof home and find a new trick.
An “oooo” erupted from the hood clad faceless ones
Jacob Figgins:
Eastwick ya beatnik. Your tats are scenic but your style is anemic. Your table awoke me, now your strategic comedic. My tactic is spastic , my mental unstable. Disable the table. Figgle is able to angle a fatal staple. SPLAT grab the ladle
Figgins thrashed about. Obviously lost control of his rhymes and had to forcefully coral his mind back to the subject.
Jacob Figgins:
Pour the Saki. The champ is cocky. Figgle kicks like donkey. Chase with some coffee shes looking groggy. Her vision's starry, mental's sloppy. I'm not sorry it's not a hobby.Send the posse, get a chair. Figgly still without a care. He's planning on a tear. The polytheist without a prayer.
Figgins clasped his hands in front of his chest as if in prayer
The feed cuts to a medium shot of Millennium champion Jennifer Yang next to her fiance and manager Ho Wei Shen in an undisclosed location. The backdrop is a simple red velvet curtain and Wei stands before the camera, dressed in a smart grey suit and white shirt. His black hair is slicked back and the smile on his handsome face is perfectly poised. The champion too is looking pleasant and ready for her biggest match to date. If she is feeling nervous, she sure hides it well. She carries the Millennium championship effortlessly on her left shoulder. It shines from the centre of the screen, a calm and confident glow. Pride is written all over Wei’s face as he lets the shot rest for a few seconds to take in the sight of them both before speaking.
Ho Wei Shen
How does that saying go again? What a time to be alive!
He chuckles with a glance at Jennifer who politely smiles back.
Ho Wei Shen
Cleveland, you are all lucky to be here tonight in the Quicken Loans Arena where history shall be made in Millennium Wrestling. Standing before you now is the top wrestler of this company, the one true face of Millennium and perhaps the entire wrestling industry. She is… Jennifer Yang.
His grin spreads wider and slowly in dramatic fashion before raising his hand and flicking his wrist as if to stop invisible protestors.
Ho Wei Shen
Now, now, before you say anything, I know how that sounds. Arrogant, is it not? To claim to be the best in the whole business while there are so many others who are greatly skilled. Like the five challengers tonight. Challengers who have earned their spot against the champion herself.
He raises his hand again to count off the names.
Ho Wei Shen
Tiffany Tompkins. Melissa Reeves. Aurora. Vivi Robichaud. And of course, last but not least, Jason Hawk.
The corner of his lips rises, twitching slightly.
Ho Wei Shen
Each of them possesses their own particular set of skills. No doubt they have impressive accomplishments under their belt. And well-deserved opportunities that have brought them here. But are they truly ready to face their ultimate test in Jennifer Yang?
With a smirk, Wei gestures to his client who simply stares ahead at the camera. The look on the champion’s face is unreadable at this point. Wei, on the other hand, is comfortable in playing his role, his tongue quick and charming.
Ho Wei Shen
Believe me when I say that they, unfortunately, are not. Why?
Once again, Wei gestures towards Jennifer, though this time he does with a quick tilt of his head.
Ho Wei Shen
When you’ve defended the title enough, pushed yourself enough, dug deep enough, you’re able to locate and return to that place. That place that allows you, time and time again, to hold on and keep fighting with every last bit of strength that you’ve got left inside you. That gives you that final boost to push you back to your feet and carry you till the very end. Finding that place is not just reserved for the time between the bells, it’s also for the days leading up to it. The days when you need to up your game in order to prepare. The days when you need to mould your mind into the most crucial frame. The most important days. Half the battle is mental, and ladies and gentlemen, consider Jennifer already a winner.
Normally, such talk would cause the champion to blush or give some sheepish look but not tonight. Right now, she doesn’t even flinch as she continues to look straight at the camera. Wei gives a satisfied nod.
Ho Wei Shen
Most people would not want to take the first position in a 30-minute scramble match. It’s not fair, they say. So why did the champion, who usually would be reserved the last position, agree to be number one? Wouldn’t that put her at a huge disadvantage?
Jennifer keeps silent, her hand still resting on the championship belt.
Ho Wei Shen
Actually, it gives her the perfect advantage. There is a good reason, a very good reason, why she is first and not last. Champions value honour above all else in a fight, and what better way to do it than taking that first spot and earning her way to victory. Jennifer isn’t in this for the easy parts of this sport, to rest on her laurels. No. She isn’t built for that. Instead, she will continue to earn every win in her record. Now this is the way of a true fighter. And a true fighter makes for a true champion.
Jennifer nods in agreement.
Ho Wei Shen
Tonight, we will all witness the making of a true champion. A true champion that will fight her way through the five hurdles and walk away, still, with the Millennium title in her grasp. Ladies and gentlemen, Jennifer Yang.
Wei grins before the scene fades to black.
Singles Match
Kitty Owens VS Catriona MacKenzieAfter two consecutive wins in her first two matches, Kitty Owens makes her PPV debut tonight. There’s quite some expectations to see her facing a bigger challenger in Catriona MacKenzie, who’s looking determined to prolong the winning streak she started last week, when she teamed up with Selina Metzger. The match starts off with a handshake, before they engage in a evenly matched test of strength. Cat breaks the stale with a kick to the stomach, quickly following up with an European Uppercut. Kitty doesn’t seem to affected by the move, bouncing back from the ropes with a huge lariat that turns the scot inside out. On the wings of enthusiasm, pushed as always by the fan’s cheers, Owens is taking the match in the territory that fits her the most. Pure brawl. For a while, Catriona holds her ground against the rookie, who eventually gets the upper hand thanks to a headbutt that stuns the tattooed woman. Owens follows up with a Pumphandle Slam, trying to score an early win, but MacKenzie isn’t going down that easily. Actually, not even the King Kai Knee coming right an inverted atomic drop is enough to break the highlander’s spirit. Mackenzie turns things around after a shoulder jawbreaker, getting a two count after a legsweep floated into a pin. The near fall gives her a boost of confidence, manhandling now the rookie, and she capitalize on it with a savate kick and a jumping legdrop. Kitty is dazed and confused, trying to keep up her guard to Cat’s who’s now unloading a series of right hands in the corner before proceeding to whip her to the opposite corner with all her strength The impact makes Kitty bounce back toward the middle of the ring, where Catriona picks her up in a fireman’s carry position and drops her onto a knee lift. After the Beam Me Up Scottie, the match is over, marking the first loss fro Kitty WINNER: Catriona MacKenzie BY: Pinfall (Beam Me Up Scottie), 7:27 |
Bea Torres: "NOOOOOO KITTYYYYYYYY"
Jared Idol: "She fought hard as always, but tonight Catriona was the better woman"
Backstage, despite a match more suited to her talents; Sephora Eastwick appears no happier than normal, when she spots the camera, she rather aggressively tells them where to go. But the camera continues to follow her until she spins on her heels and round off on the cameraman.
Sephora Eastwick:
Will you f*** off, I have nothing to say to anyone tonight!
She then pauses and shakes her head.
Sephora Eastwick:
Wait, is there a delay? Are you f***int censoring me?! What the f***!
Having her questioned confirmed, she starts rattling off several lines of abuse, all of which is beeped out before the replay actually hits the screens both out at ringside and for the viewers at home. This only seems to make Sephora more irate, as she starts calling Gian some choice names; only looking angrier and angrier the more she’s beeped out.
Sephora Eastwick:
Oh I bet you think you’re so f***ing funny right now don’t you you pompous ****** ******* *****
She finally stops ranting, if only to catch her breath before throwing her arms up in the air and storming off down the hallway.
The crowd is ready for the next match as “I Wear My Skin” by One Minute Silence begins to erupt out of the loudspeakers at the Quicken Loans Arena. From the back steps Christopher Kane donning a Baker Mayfield jersey to a huge pop from the Cleveland faithful. However, he isn’t smiling this evening and instead almost has a scowl on his face. The second generation talent enters the ring and grabs a microphone, tapping it a few times as his music dies off. The crowd keeps cheering for one of the fan favorites in Millennium as he paces around the ring.
Christopher Kane:
I’m going to keep this short. This is a big show. I want to see my sister defend her title. I want to see my girlfriend win the Millennium Championship.
Both of those ideas are well received by the crowd. A few people chant about a baseball bat to the car.
Christopher Kane:
I am requesting that Gianluigi Vaccaro come down to this ring. I want to hear this face to face as to why he thinks I need tonight off. Come on, don’t be shy.
Kane waits for the general manager to make his appearance. Vivaldi’s “La Tempesta Di Mare” blares out of the PA system, and soon after Gianluigi Vaccaro walks on the stage, looking sharp in his fine Italian suit. He walks down the ramp with a quick pace, looking quite annoyed by Christopher calling him out like that. He’s handed a microphone by one of the ringside crew before stepping inside the ring and standing up in front of Kane.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
You really want it to go down like this, Christopher? I already explained it to you.
Christopher Kane:
I know you explained to me, but I want you to explain to everyone here because I think they’ll all agree with me that it’s bullshit.
Kane eyes Gianluigi before shaking his head.
Christopher Kane:
You stand there in your suit and I can I see the look of annoyance on your face. You didn’t want me to do this, I get it, but I have to. I’ve been too timid in taking what I want. Just like with Mel going off on the boss’ car last week, we have to take a stand against what is.. Bullshit.
Christopher lowers his microphone and motions for Vaccaro to tell everyone what was said on social media.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
I asked you to bring proof that you’re physically and mentally fit to compete tonight. You were barely able to stand up two weeks ago, you’ve been in a very demanding match last week. Add to that everything you’ve been through, being forced to fight against the woman you love..
Gian shakes his head, the tone of his voice becoming softer as he speaks.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Take the night off. You can still watch your sister defending her title, you can still watch your girlfriend fighting in the main event.
Christopher shakes his head not really caring for Vaccaro’s answer tonight.
Christopher Kane:
All those things you just said. Fighting while being able to stand. Fighting loved ones. Do you know what that is, Gian?
Simple pause for effect.
Christopher Kane:
That’s just professional wrestling. We know we get beat up. We know if we date in this business we might have to fight. Everyone in this sport knows the risks and we do it anyways. I’m physically fit.
Kane stops himself before smirking.
Christopher Kane:
You want to talk mentally, okay let’s talk it. In the past two years I’ve had three of the four people that helped me get ready for this business die. My dad, Uncle Spike and Freya, all three of them gone. I got a kid I haven’t seen in over two years. So you want to talk about my mental state? Yeah, it sucks but you know what? When I get in this ring, all of it goes away. My personal life, my family life, gone. Nothing else matters in here but the person across from me. By keeping me out of this ring, you’re doing more harm than good here, bud.
Gian stares at him for a moment. In silence.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
You had five days, to come to me with a doctor’s note saying that you’re cleared to wrestle. You could have come to me and talked, told me how much this means to you. And maybe, maybe, I could have decided against my best judgement and put you in a match. You never did.
A small pause.
Gianluigi Vaccaro:
Now you call me out, and what? Do you expect me to find you one opponent like this? Do you believe there’s someone in this wonderful crowd who can step in the ring with you? Or maybe you think I will change one of the match already booked and add you to it?
Because that’s what you do, right? You think that you can call the shots around here? And why not? It already worked with Chuck. Heroes and Cons, right? Well, that’s not going to happen with me. I gave you the chance to convince me I was wrong, and you didn’t.
Enjoy the show.
The General Manager turns around and starts leaving the ring. Christopher doesn’t waste a moment of time as he grabs Gian from behind, lifts him up and drops him with the Untitled Finale II. Kane glares down at Gian from a seated position, getting one of the microphones.
Christopher Kane:
This isn’t about calling shots, Gian. It’s about making a fucking impact. This is about no longer waiting for suits like you to decide who gets in the ring. I’m sure you have a fine mind about everything, but truth is, I shouldn’t need to get cleared when there was never a risk in the first place. This isn’t quite a baseball bat to a car, but the statement remains the same. I’m through waiting, I’m taking what I want.
Christopher pops back up to his feet and looks down at the motionless GM before leaving the ring like a guy leaving a murder scene. EMTs rush down to check on Gianluigi as Christopher yells that he’s through waiting at the top of the stage.
Singles Match
Paddy Costigan VS Kace MatthewsThings didn’t work well for Kace lately. First he was cheated out of his title shot by Kate at Millennium XIX and last week Luna stole a win to earn the title shot she made the best out of earlier tonight. He walks to the ring with a look of determination in his eyes, focused on changing the course his career has been taking recently. On his way, the sixty years old Paddy Costigan, coming off his victorious debut last week. He’s waiting for Kace, oozing confidence and smugness, on his face the smirk of someone who truly believes this match is going to be a walk in the park. And the first part of the match seems to back up his conviction, with him taking control of the operations thanks to his superior technical prowess. Kace tries hard to turn the tables, but the veteran is always one step ahead, constantly taking him down and preventing him to use his speed to his advantage. For every swing or kick Kace attempts, Paddy has a counter, whether that is ducking under it and dropping him with a belly to buck suplex or simply grabbing his leg and taking him down with a dragon screw, keeping the hold and twisting his ankle. Matthews drags himself to the ropes and grabs the bottom one, forcing the break. He gets up, frustrated by the turn this match took, unable to build any sort of offence. This obviously plays right into Costigan’s hands, making it even easier for him to stay in control. When Kace is able to counter a suplex and land a couple of kicks before hitting the ropes for a springboard crossbody, Paddy is there, waiting for him. He catches him in mid air, shaking his head with a chuckle before tossing him to the opposite side of the ring with a fallaway slam. Kace slowly gets up, finding himself in the corner when the opponent comes charging at him at full speed with a stinger splash, getting a count of two out of the cover. Finally Kace gets some wind behind his sails, breaking free from a waistlock with a couple of elbow shots and following up with a Pele Kick. For the first time, Paddy is down and this gives the young Matthews a huge boost of confidence. He’s now dominating this part of the match, finally able to run and fly across the ring, hitting the opponent from every angle and showing off his high flying skills. A beautiful springboard moonsault gives him a two count, but it’s only after a corner shining wizard that it seems like he could get the job done. Paddy is down, and Kace is free to ascend to the top rope, measuring the distance and leaping off with the Chi-Town Splash. Costigan’s veteran instinct comes into play as he raises his knees making Matthews’ landing extremely uncomfortable. Despite being in pain, Kace gets back up and swings his right hand, missing broadly and allowing Paddy to slide behind his back and lock him in his patented Crossface Chickenwing. With nowhere to go, Kace eventually taps out after trying in vain to break free. WINNER: Paddy Costigan BY: Submission (Crossface Chickenwing), 10:33 |
Bea Torres: "Another win for Daddy!"
Jared Idol: "Did you just call him..."
Bea Torres: "Don't be silly... Move on."
Jared Idol: "Why are you blushing Bea?"
Jared Idol: "I'm not! Now, will you please move on?"
Jared Idol: "Aye."
A video appears on the titantron which catches the fans attention. They cheer as they still can’t tell what they are about to see. A picture is hanging on the wall and heavy breathing can be heard from behind the camera. A picture of Tiffany Tompkins. But her smiling face is covered in red lettering. The word weak is plastered across her face.
Next to her there hangs a picture of Melissa Reeves. The camera pans towards the floor for just a moment and when it returns there are scratches on her picture
On its way back up the camera catches a shoot of a picture of Christopher Kane with a target on his head, which is hanging just below the picture of Melissa Reeves.
Moving on and Aurora is next in line. She is standing on the top turnbuckle celebrating some victory. Pretender, it reads next to her.
Second from last there is a picture of Vivi Robichaud. Her mouth has been covered and on top of it says, “She will scream.”
Lastly there is a picture of Jennifer Yang and Ho Wei Shen, but Ho Wei Shen’s head has been cut off. A hand appears from behind the camera. It reaches towards Jennifer Yang. It places to fingers just above her before running down across her marking a red X on her.
The camera zooms out a bit and reveals the message FUCK YOU ALL written with something that at least resembles blood as drops run down the wall and rain over the pictures.
The camera turns around to reveal Jason Hawk, his face covered by the piece that he usually wears. He gestures towards his ear before pointing straight at the camera to let the audience know he heard that. He heard them break the silence he demands from them. He heard how they fought through the fear he strikes in their hearts and he isn’t happy about it. He flips them off and the titantron cuts to black as the fans once again are stunned into silence.

Saki (C) VS Sephora Eastwick VS Sean Libby VS Jacob Figgins
The Empire Extreme Championship is hanging above the four competitors’ heads, there are tables, ladders and chairs all around the ring. They seem to have caught Sephora’s attention, a smile coming across her face as she starts planning how to use them. Figgins and Libby are ready to take their chances tonight, both of them looking up at the coveted title. The champion, instead, is sitting in the corner, rocking back and forth while waiting for the bell to ring. And it finally does, signaling the start of this match. Saki springs back to her feet and charges at Libby and Figgins, dropping them both with a double dropkick. She then stares at Sephora, both women with a wicked smile on their face. There’s a lot of history between them, and it’s well known to the Millennium fans. The Kawaii Deathmachine always had the upper hand in their previous encounters, and that’s something Eastwick never quite got over. She’s out here tonight to change that, fighting tooth and nails against the Singapore Mauler channeling all the frustration and rage in each and every fist she throws. One of them busts the champion’s lips open, and the taste of her own blood triggers something in Saki, who turns things around with a series of kicks, backing Sephora down to the centre of the ring. But in a fight, when rules are out of the window, nobody is really a match to Eastwick, who rakes Saki’s eyes, blinding her and following with a headbutt. Once again in control Seph kicks her in the stomach and lifts her for a powerbomb, changing her mind at the last moment and dropping her through one of the tables set up outside instead. With Saki out and Figgins fighting it out against Libby on the outside, Seph retrieves one of the ladders outside the ring and slides it back in. As she climbs to the apron, reading to go back in the ring, she gets caught by a flying chair to the face, tossed with precision by Jacob Figgins who’s know quick to reach her on the apron and drop her head first with a ddt on the border of the ring. He then steps in the ring and sets up the ladder right under the hanging belt. Behind him comes Libby with a springboard dropkick that sends him face first against the ladder steps. Jacob is down and the ladder is still bouncing against the ropes. Sean folds it and drops it on the opponent, before leaving the ring once again and starting throwing chairs in. The level of violence definitely picks up when all four wrestlers are back in the ring. The ladder has been pushed under the ropes, with chairs being the weapon of choice in this part of the match. Figgins is denting one on Sephora’s back, while Saki is patiently unfolding four and placing them one in front of the other She picks up Libby and climbs with him over the chairs, placing his head between her legs to perform a piledriver. Somehow, he manages to resist and counters it with a back body drop.Sephora rolls out of the ring and of harm’s way, and that’s when he notices Libby bringing the ladder back in the ring. Jacob drops the chair and the two meet in a brawl. After trading some blows, Sean gets a small advantage and plans on capitalize it with a right hand, ducked by Figgins who immediadetly slides behind his back and applies a full nelson. His intentions become clear when he glances at the ladder laying next to him, and a roar of surprise follows the Moonshine Delirium on the ladder! No time to celebrate though, because as soon as he gets up, he walks right into Saki’s roundhouse kick. The chairs she set up earlier are still there, perfectly positioned. And the champion is not going home until she used them. Once again she climbs over them, this time executing the piledriver and taking Figgins out of the equation. Nothing is on her way now, all she has to do is kicking Libby off the ladder and set it up, perfectly positioned in the middle of the ring. Saki then starts her ascent, climbing one step at the time and getting closer to retain her title. She’s literally fingertips away when Sephora comes back into the match and climbs the opposite side of the ladder, joining the champion on top. It’s a battle in height between the two girls, made even more dangerous by the wobbly ladder. Sephora surprises her with a headbutt, driving her face on the steps. Saki barely hangs in there, recovering just in time to punch Seph in the ribs while she was trying to unwraps the title. Down below, Sean Libby is back on his feet and in an attempt to save the match, he pushes away the ladder, taking the ground off their feet. Saki with quick reflexes reaches the title and hangs on this, while Seph isn’t as quick. She still stops her fall grabbing the champions’ leg. The fall seems inevitable for both of them, Sephora’s weight is dragging Saki down. Eastwick’s grasp loosens a bit as she slips a few inches down, but it’s enough for the Kawaii DeathMachine to free her leg and use it to kick the opponent, who eventually falls on the mat. The crowd cheers as Saki, with one last effort, reaches up with one hand and frees the title from the hook, clutching onto it as the bell rings. WINNER: Saki (Still Champion) BY: Belt Retrieval, 15:43 |
Jared Idol: "What a match! And Saki is still champion!"
Bea Torres: "Nooo Sephy!!!! I feel bad for her, she was so close..."
Jared Idol: "Aye. But despite the great performance, Saki was able to retain, hanging, literally, on her title."
Backstage, the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans, Vivi Robichaud, stands alone in her entrance gear. She’s seated on a production trunk, her signature walking stick by her side as she grins for the camera.
Vivi Robichaud:
It’s no secret that when I came to Millennium, I did so at the behest of Chuck Matthews. Mr. Matthews has been a longtime acquaintance of mine, and I was happy to give him an opportunity as an employer. We had some good times, and I ended up on his team sort of by default.
The Priestess shrugs her shoulders.
Vivi Robichaud:
Of course, we all saw how that went for Chuck. Grace van Beek took over the operations of the company, promising to usher in a very impressive array of changes. Of course, like any good politician, she was purposefully vague as to what those changes would be, and immediately abandoned her promises as soon as she came to power.
Vivi Robichaud:
Look around. Now, instead of Chuck promoting his favorites and punishing those he doesn’t like, it’s Grace doing the exact. Same. Thing. The only change that has occurred in Millennium is the name of the person in charge. The substance is still arguably the same, since it’s still being run by a rich entrepreneur with some wrestling background and an overinflated sense of their own importance. Now, I can deal with a lot in an employer, but one thing I won’t tolerate is a liar. For all his faults, Chuck was never one to lie about his motivations - the man enjoys playing games with people’s lives and yet people continually act surprised when he does what he’s always done. Grace talked a big game about wanting change, when all she really wanted was her own bit of power and glory and the ability to say she beat Chuck Matthews.
Vivi Robichaud:
So, effective after tonight’s show, I will be leaving Millennium. I trust the promotion will go on as usual after this, but I leave you with one final warning: if you were wary of Chuck but are willing to trust in Grace, then you’ve only yourself to blame when you inevitably get screwed over by her.
The show turns backstage and finds a pair of familiar faces chatting away in an otherwise secluded area. Britty Kane, the current Cloud Gate Champion, and Melissa Reeves, challenger for the Millennium Title later on tonight.
The pair are both in their ring gear, clearly ready for battle, and Britty’s title is sat beside her as she stretches. For her part, Melissa is taping her fists, and it’s noticeable that she’s sat beside a metal baseball bat.
Melissa Reeves:
How you feeling though? Nervous?
Britty Kane looked up after stretching her arms and impressively does the splits to move onto her legs.
Britty Kane:
A bit yeah. I don’t have to get pinned to lose my title tonight. Kinda sucks honestly but that’s what ole Grace van Bitch wanted. I mean, after all, I took that title the night she refused to wrestle and walked out of the ring.
The Cloud Gate Champion only gave a shrug.
Britty Kane:
Not my fault she was a doofus and didn’t do her job. At least when Christopher didn’t show up for that show he took his punishment like a man even though that was dumb as hell too. So yeah, I’m a little nervous that she’s out to get me tonight. What about you?
Britty glances up at Melissa and smiles.
Melissa Reeves:
Yeah...Grace is a jackass, though, we all know that. Honestly, I’m expecting some bullshit or other. No way GvB lets what I did slide. But that’s why…
She taps the bat.
Melissa Reeves:
...I’m prepared. The match itself, though? I mean it’s huge, right? There are some really big talents, really capable individuals. But there’s nobody in there I can’t beat. Nobody. So I’m confident. I’m always confident. It’ll be tough and it’ll be a war, but I know I can win it.
The Cloud Gate Champion nods her head and keeps the smile on her face.
Britty Kane:
Well… Tiff is a helluva wrestler, Melly. And Aurora is good too. Jenni is awesome. Lotta talent there! I just have to deal with a big ole giant butt and Selina. So I mean, we’re both in the same boat kinda!
She gets to her feet and grabs the Cloud Gate title.
Britty Kane:
I worked hard to get this despite what people think. I’ve worked hard to keep this. I want to be the best Cloud Gate Champion in this company’s history. Then, I think I can challenge someone like you regardless if you win tonight or not!
Melissa Reeves:
Anytime you wanna get in that ring with me? You ask. Because you’ve earned it. Even objectively, you’re really good in the ring. You and Tiffany are the future prospects in Millennium, if you ask me.
She nods.
Melissa Reeves:
And for real. If I win that title tonight then you can by all means come and take a crack at taking it off me.
Britty Kane:
I think I just might do that if you win although, no offense I am pulling for Tiffany. She’s like my eternal rival at this point that never ends. My frienemy.
Mel’s cheeks bulge a tad but she lets that slide. Britty grins.
Britty Kane:
So, how about we make a bet?
Reeves shrugs.
Melissa Reeves:
What bet?
Britty Kane:
If I win, you owe me dinner. If you win, I stop shooting your boyfriend in the dick with paintballs. If we both win, we go shopping. If we both lose, we make Chris buy us everything until we feel better.
Mel raises an eyebrow.
Melissa Reeves:
I THINK I followed all of that…
She shrugs.
Melissa Reeves:
Okay, fine.
And she holds out her hand as Britty shakes it.
Britty Kane:
I hope so. If not I can really mess with you.
She brings and puts the title around her waist.
Britty Kane:
Well, I’m up soon. Good luck Melly!
Britty wraps up Mel in a giant hug.
Melissa Reeves:
Good luck to you too.
Mel releases the hug and watches Britty go. She looks back to the bat and picks it up, before heading off herself.
Singles Match
Gray Malone VS Zooey West-JaaRumors of Gray Malone retiring have been circulating for quite some time now, but his last tweet a few days before Deep Six seems to leave no doubt. Against him in what could be the last match of his career, Zooey West-Jaa, looking to get back on track after failing to qualify for the title match last week. The match starts and of course it’s a hard hitting contest with the two opponents going all out since the beginning with heavy forearm shots. It’s not really a surprise to see Zooey coming out on top from this, her arms are just as dangerous as her legs that come into play soon after. The sound of her kicks punishing his flesh echo in the arena, accompanying by Gray’s groans. He quickly finds himself on the floor after a roundhouse, and that’s when the veteran decides to take a break, rolling out of the ring. Zooey doesn’t take the bait, patiently waiting until Gray slides back into the ring and welcoming him with a dropkick, picking up where she left with her usual compilation of kicks. As the fight proceeds, Gray is finally able to turn things around landing a few heavy blows before lifting West-Jaa with an exploder suplex. Methodical and cynical as always, Malone has now Zooey in the corner, driving his shoulder in her stomach multiple times. He then grabs her wrist and whips her to the opposite corner with tremendous strength, such as Zooey hits the corner and bounces back in the middle of the ring, falling down face first. Gray goes to pick her up, determined to leave with a win. A few right hands and an uppercut later, he catches her with the Beheading, but not even a stunner is keeping Zooey down tonight. The blonde woman finds the strength for a reaction, surprising Gray with a crooked arm lariat. She mounts over the grounded opponent hitting him with a series of stiff right hands, one of them busting him open right above the eye. Zooey steps back, admiring the result of her work as the referee checks on Gray who pushes him away, charging at her and meeting, once again, her educated feet. She finishes the sequence with a crane kick, but Malone kicks out again. As he gets up, Zooey stays on the attack, missing a Chick Kick and giving the former Shadow Of The Society the opening he needed. grabbing her from by the throat and lifting in the air, dropping her on his knee, inflicting more punishment to the back. Zooey is down, struggling to get back to her feet. A few steps away, Gray is stalking her, ready for his spear, the Shadowblade. Someone jumps from the crowd, heading toward the ring and climbing on the apron. It’s Stone Hendrix? What is he doing here? That’s what everyone, including the ref and Gray is asking themselves. The referee orders him to leave, but the distraction bought Zooey some valuable times. Once he drops, stepping back the same way he came through, Zooey is more than ready for the Shadowblade, sending him hanging over the middle rope with a drop toe hold. From there, she hits him with the Tiger Feint Kick for the three count. WINNER: Zooey West-Jaa BY: Pinfall (Tiger Feint Kick), 8:19 |
Bea Torres: "What did just happen? And why is Stone Hendrix here?"
Jared Idol: "I have no idea. But he helped Zooey tonight, I wonder what this means."
After the bell rings, Zooey is left standing in the ring, she looks to Stone, who rolls in and joins her in the ring, the pair just stare at eachother for a long time before the moment is broken up by Zooey’s boyfriend, Jackson Idol, who comes down the ramp looking confused and a little irritated, as he joins them in the ring, he and Stone begin to argue.
Zooey gets between them to try and calm the situation, explaining to Jackson that she didn’t even see what happened, she would never cheat and he knows that. Jackson seems to accept her explanation but still isn’t happy with Stones presence in the ring. Before he can argue his point, Zooey is arguing with Stone herself, saying how she could have won the match without his help.
She turns as though to walk away from him and Stone lands a shot to the back of Jackson’s head as he follows; as he trips forward, Zooey catches him and steadies him on his feet, suddenly her expression changes though and she whips him off the ropes into a powerful roundhouse kick that lays him clean out.
Stone steps up beside Zooey, who looks down at her fallen boyfriend; Stone then grabs her at the waist and pulls her in close, the pair sharing a passionate embrace as they kiss, standing over the body of the downed Jackson Idol.
The cameras cut to backstage, where Chloe Collins is standing and waiting with a microphone at hand.
Chloe Collins:
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome at this time, Tiffany Tompkins.
Tiffany steps into the frame, already donning her ring gear, to a welcoming pop from the crowd. Despite her look of determination, she can't help but smile upon hearing the reaction from the crowd. She then looks up at Chloe, maintaining her smile as she does.
Tiffany Tompkins:
Thanks Chloe.
Chloe smiles back down at her as she asks her first question.
Chloe Collins:
So Tiff, later tonight you'll be competing in your first ever main event match against some of the biggest stars in Millennium Wrestling. How are you feeling right now?
Chloe lowers the microphone to Tiffany's face as her smile is replaced with the usual look of determination.
Tiffany Tompkins:
Well...I've been feeling a lot of different things lately. I'm excited because it's my first main event, I'm a little bit nervous because of the talent I'm going up against, including one of my trainers. Above all else though, I'm determined to do my very best to walk away at the end of the night as the new Millennium Champion!
The crowd cheers upon hearing that.
Chloe Collins:
Excellent, that's exactly what we all wanna hear from you, especially after what happened between you and the Cloud Gate Champion, Britty Kane...
Tiffany interrupts her.
Tiffany Tompkins:
Sorry Chloe, but I'm staying focused on tonight. Whatever happened is all in the past. This is the biggest night of my career, and all I want tonight is to prove to everyone that I belong in the main event!
The crowd pops again.
Chloe Collins:
You do seem more confident than ever tonight, I'll give you that. I won't waste any more of your time, but one last question before you go...do you have anything to say to your opponents before you face them in the ring?
Tiffany glances up to Chloe one last time before giving her answer.
Tiffany Tompkins:
What's there to say? I know the competition I'm up against, and so does everyone else watching, unless you've been living under a rock. Compared to these guys, everyone probably sees me as a child. But that just motivates me even more. I've earned my spot among these stars, and now I'm going to do everything in my power, not just to prove that I can hang with them, but to prove that I can be a champion. So what's there to say?
Tiffany stares directly into the camera.
Tiffany Tompkins:
I say I'm ready for you. The real question is, are you ready for me?
With that said, Tiffany storms off camera, leaving Chloe alone with a proud smile on her face as the scene fades out.
Cloud Gate Championship
Triple Threat Match
Britty Kane (c) VS Dane Archer VS Selina Metzger
The stakes cannot be higher for the champion who’s set to face not one but two huge challenges. After barely surviving Dane last week, she now finds the Ubermensch added to the mix. And it’s the German who she targets first with a kick to the leg that didn’t seem to affect her too much. Selina answers with a right hand, followed by one from Archer as well. With a light nod, they grab one of Britt’s arms each and sends her against the ropes. Their idea was to hit a double clothesline, but the champion ducks it and comes back with a dropkick on Selina. Dane picks Britty up and lifts her in a stalling suplex, dropping her on her back after a significant hanging time. Before he can pick her up, Selina clubs him from behind with a elbow to the back of his head. Dane turns to her, receiving a forearm to the back from Britty. The two women start working together to bring the giant down, with alternating kicks that light up Dane’s massive chest. Eventually, they manage to take him down, before obviously turning to each other. Selina is in great shape tonight, keeping both the champion and the other challenger at bay. After a double chickenwing facebuster, Britty seems to be out, but Archer prevents her from capitalizing on the big move. Fueled by a new found fire, the mercenary delivers a series of stiff blows that stun the German, following up with a vicious running big boot. Selina is down and Dane hooks her leg, caressing the dream of walking out as the new Cloud Gate Champion before Britty interrupts it with an elbow drop to the back of the neck. She stomps and kicks the big man, knowing how dangerous he can be. But eventually Dane grabs her leg, finally getting up to his feet and shaking his head. An excess of confidence he pays for when the Cloud Gate Champion connects with an enziguri kick. Selina and Britty are now battling it out, while Dane is laying outside the ring after being hit by a devastating Inverted Powerslam by Selina who proved, once again, that she’s without a doubt the most powerful woman in this roster, probably ranking pretty high amongst the men as well. And her raw power is too much for Britty as well, who’s being tossed around like a rag doll. Selina is in full control, at least until Kane connects with a superkick out of nowhere. Selina is stumbling but she doesn’t fall, not even after a second kick. The champion then climbs to the top rope and finally takes her down with a tornado ddt. Once again, It’s only a two count this time for Dane’s intervention. It’s now his moment to shine, as he easily lifts the younger Kane over his head in a Military Press into a running powerslam. That’s when Selina makes her presence felt again, charging at Dane and knocking him down with a lariat. He pops back up to his feet, and Metzger goes for a second one but this time he intercepts her with a kick to the stomach that stops her momentum and doubles her over. In a motion oh so familiar to the Millennium Fans, he raises her over his head, ready to drop her with the jacknife powerbomb. But there’s still fight in the Ubermensch, who drops some punches to the crown of his head, until he eventually loses his grasp. Selina seizes the opportunity and drops him down with the Elbe Valley Driver. A new champion can be crowned tonight, and the fans are ready to pop up on their feet to witness this moment. Quickly and out of nowhere, Britty pushes Selina out of the ring and falls over Dane, hooking the leg as the referee count to three. Britty Kane is still the Cloud Gate Champion. WINNER: Britty Kane BY: Pinfall (Elbe Valley Driver), 16:22 |
Jared Idol: "She did it again! Unbelievable"
Bea Torres: "Britty took advantage of the situation and scored another win!"
Jared Idol: "Great performance by Selina. She came up short, but she proved once again that she's a force to be reckon with."
Aurora:
Here we are again.
There’s the sound of heels hitting tile, and the camera opens up to focus inside a locker room as a pale, tattooed hand places a pair of expensive looking Jimmy Choos shoes on the counter. Reflected in the mirror with her Mia Wallace pixie bob is Aurora and the light of amusement mixed with anticipation is bright in her amazing green eyes. She unzips a leather motorcycle jacket before she swooshes it, spinning it in her clever hands until it rests on the back of a chair. The camera pans, moving around as Aurora moves to lean against the counter, and turns to face the camera and gestures with one hand.
Aurora:
I don’t just mean here in the Quicken Loans Arena, and yes I can hear you fans, Cleveland Rocks.
There’s a muffled pop from the fans ringside that are watching Aurora on the screen over the stage and she grins wickedly for a second before she continues to speak.
Aurora:
It’s been a very long time since I was in a Championship Scramble match, let alone one that runs for thirty minutes against some very hungry opponents and one oddly adorable valiant little champion. When I first started paying a bit of attention to Millenium, I remember thinking how plucky she is. How very much she painfully reminds me of what it was like to be wide eyed and innocent about a lot of things in this business. She will sink or she will swim, that one.
Aurora yanks her vintage pink and black t-shirt off over her head, and pushes off from the counter to open a locker and get her gear. The camera stays focused on where she’d been as the sounds of zippers and a little swearing under the breath in that pretty contralto tone is picked up. She comes back with some tape and starts tearing off precise little strips to wind around her fingers for a better grip for her DDTs. Science, yo.
Aurora:
There’s nothing quite like being the champion going into a match where all the odds are stacked against you. You don’t need me to point out how difficult it’s going to be to keep that gold around your waist. It would be hard for you even if I wasn’t in the match. You’ve got you, the Millennium Champion against former champions in their own right and a young woman I had a hand in training. I’ve stood where you stand, except lucky you, this isn’t going down inside the three tiered weapons filled Pentagram cage. Be thankful, it’s not.
Aurora looks up, thinking about the past a moment before that slow smile comes back.
Aurora:
Any name in this, you could point at and go ‘well this is going to be tough, better keep on my toes’ and you’d be right to do that. It’s smart. You’re a driven competitor, Jenny, even if you’re still doe-eyed. I see a lot of strength in you, but you’re not honed, not yet. It’ll come, with time. Like everything else.
A soft sigh and Aurora blinks, looking back down at the camera.
Aurora:
I didn’t particularly come to Millennium to chase yet another championship, Jenny. I didn’t set out to be here, in this spot I earned, tonight. Ready to face off against you, Tiffany, Vivi, Melissa, and Jason. But here we are, and I am going to do what I do best. I am going to dump you all on your fucking heads as hard as I can, as often as I can, as fast as I can and none of you are going to stop me for long.
Her smile became almost angelic.
Aurora:
This is what I do. Chuck knew it best of all. This, is what I excel at. Anything and I mean anything, can happen in a match like this and that’s why it’s so exciting. One of us is leaving as the Millennium Champion.
She winks and grabs her coat again, heading out of the locker room.
Aurora:
I know where my money is. Aici vine lupta.
And out she goes.
Millennium Championship
30 minutes Scramble
Jennifer Yang (c) VS Tiffany Tompkins VS Melissa Reeves
VS Aurora VS Vivi Robichaud VS Jason Hawk
After an intense night, the moment everyone was waiting for is finally here. The main event of Deep Six, Millennium’s most coveted prize on the line, the best in the company fighting for it for thirty minutes. Starting things off, the current champion Jennifer Yang and the surprise entrant in this batch, the young up and comer Tiffany Tompkins. With the crowd split, chanting for both opponents, the two started circling around. Jennifer keeps her guard low, luring the young girl into making the first move, a way to test first hand her skills in this unprecedented match. And Tompkins doesn’t let her ask twice, swinging her leg and connecting right above the champion’s hip. Yang definitely felt the stiff kick, and this brings a smile to her face, as she locks up with Tiff in the middle of the ring. The champion quickly switches to a side headlock, getting pushed towards the ropes by the contender who goes for a lariat, ducked by Jennifer who then bounces back with a springboard back elbow that takes her off her feet. Tiffany quickly springs back up to her feet, meeting once again with the champion in the middle of the ring and holding her ground in a brawl that fires up the already excited fans. And their excitement only grow when, after five minutes, “No End In Sight” by Killswitch Engage blasts out of the loudspeakers and Melissa Reeves runs to the ring, sliding under the bottom rope and immediately taking Tiffany out with a Spinning Heel Kick, turning her attention to Jennifer now. She ducks her right hand and quickly moves behind her back, wrapping her arms around her waist and toss him with a Belly To Back suplex. Melissa seems on fire tonight, but the initial bursts gets shut down by Tiffany’s Running Single-Leg Dropkick. There’s a first cover attempt that obviously only gets her a one count. The action is so fast paced that the three minutes literally fly. “Cold” by Static X anticipates the entrance of Aurora, as always welcomed with loud cheers by the Cleveland fans. She enters the ring while Mel and Tiffany are both down on the mat, courtesy of a double clothesline from the champion. Jennifer turns and welcomes the Mistress of the DDT with a right jab, took by Aurora without even stumbling back. As the two women brawl it out, Melissa is back on her feet, and she’s picking up Tiffany for a snap suplex. Reeves drops her knee on the youngest competitor on this match a couple of times before hooking her leg for a two count. As Tompkins kicks out, Mel drags her back to her feet getting hit by a right punch to the stomach, followed by a knee strike and a series of kicks. Across the ring, Aurora nails the champion with a fisherman DDT. As soon as she gets up, she finds Tiffany waiting for her, for an epic student/mentor staredown. A smile comes across Rori’s face, as she invites the young opponent to “bring it on”. And the fight begins, right when Voodoo by Godsmack starts playing. Vivi doesn’t seem to be in a rush, walking to the ring with a slow, yet determined pace. Aurora has Tiffany in the corner, hitting her with an elbow to the jaw and sitting her up on the top rope. Her intentions are clear, and there’s nothing the young girl can do to prevent being brought down to the mat with a superplex. The Killer Machine rolls out of the ring before Vivi can grab her, forcing the Voodoo Queen to turn her attention to Aurora. Jenni has Melissa against the ropes, connecting with her characteristic Wing Shun strikes. She ends the sequence with a clothesline that dumps Reeves over the top rope. The champ then clubs Vivi with a heavy forearm to the back of the head, knocking her on her knees. Aurora finishes the job with a kick to the side of the head, before, for the joy of the fans, taking the fight to Yang. They trade blows, until Aurora grabs the champion by her wrist and sends her running against the ropes. “Hospital For Souls” by Bring Me The Horizon blares out of the loudspeakers, Jennifer ducks under the clothesline and hits the ropes once again, this time jumping back with a springboard DDT. With Aurora down, the champ stands in the middle of the ring, staring at Jason Hawk who’s now walking down the ramp, no rush in his movements. Behind the champion’s back, Tiffany slides back on the ring and quickly rolls up Jennifer, who manages to kick out. Both competitors spring quickly back to their feet, and it’s Yang striking first with a jumping knee. Once again, turning her back to the opponent reveals to be a mistake she’s going to pay for, with Jason making his presence felt in this match with the Wings Of Time! Taunting the fans with a wicked grin, he drops on his knees, hooking the leg for the three count. With fifteen minutes to go, Jason Hawk is the new interim Millennium Champion. The minutes go by and the action in the ring never stops. Tiffany gets very close to, temporarily, become the new champion after a Death Kick on Vivi, but Hawk defends his title diving on her and breaking the pin, before throwing her over the top rope. Melissa Reeves jumps from the top turnbuckle and sends him down with a Missile Dropkick, finding Aurora waiting for her with a kick to the midsection that doubles her over before dropping her on the head in one smooth movement with an Evenflow DDT. This time, Hawk can’t make the save, and the title changes hands once again. We’re approaching the twenty minutes mark, and tiredness starts showing, especially on those who started the match. Jennifer is catching a breath on the outside, after being hit by Vivi’s Leap Of Faith, while Tiffany is trying to get free from the Voodoo Queen’s Agonizing Ecstasy. The young girl is visibly in pain, trapped in the Tilt-A-Whirl Headscissors Armbar with nowhere to go. Showing her usual tenacity, Tompkins refuses to tap, but she seems to slowly start fading away. Her salvation comes in the form of a sick Yakuza Kick from Jason Hawk, who quickly goes for a cover. Just in the nick of time, Aurora breaks the pin with a low dropkick. Mel is right behind her, stalking like a wolf ready to jump on the prey. And as soon as Aurora stands up, she grabs her shoulder and spins her around right into the Facial Deconstructor. Rori is out for the three count, and the title changes hands once again. Her title only last a couple of minutes, until Jennifer takes back what’s yours making Hawk tap from her ankle lock. In fairness, unlike Tiffany before Jason didn’t even try to resist, tapping out immediately to prevent further damage. A gamble, for many, but with still nine minutes to go, everything can happen in this match. And he is, after all, the freshest man in the pool. Vivienne with a Creole Surprise out of nowhere almost captures the gold, but Melissa kicks out. Tiffany has Jason Hawke defenseless on his knees as she keeps tearing him down with her vicious kicks. The sequence ends with an Enziguri Kick followed up by the cover, but Jennifer is there to make the save. Aurora slides back inside the ring and grabs the champion’s arm, setting her up for the Carpathian’s Cross, becoming the new interim champion with only six minutes to go. On the opposite side of the ring, Reeves’ Exploder Suplex wipes Robichaud out. She drags her body in the perfect position for the Death From Above, tearing off the title from Rori’s grasp. A quick look to the watch, inexorably walking toward the time limit, now five minutes away. Things get pretty chaotic as the time ticks away, until Jason Hawk, in an adrenaline rush, cleans the ring delivering superkicks left and right, until only Mel is left in the ring. He has something else in store for her, starting with his patented Running Riott-Kick he calls ZUUUUUUUMA! With the current interim champion down, no one else around and a little two minutes on the clock, nothing is standing on his way to the Millennium Championship. He climbs to the top rope, calling for the Dark Clouds Over Cleveland. The first Shooting Star Press lands, and he quickly rolls through, climbing the opposite corner. Before he can jump, Tiffany slides back in the ring and hits the ropes, making him lose balance and fall outside. One second, the slightest hesitation in the young girl is fatal. When she turns back, ready to capitalize, Jennifer Yang is there, ready to connect the #BEHUMBLE and recapture the title. Not much happens in the last minute, with Aurora trying to surprise Yang with another Carpathian Cross, but the champion counters it. And finally the bell rings. WINNER: Jennifer Yang (Still Champion) BY: Pinfall (#BEHUMBLE), 30:00 |

“Whistle” by BLACKPINK starts playing in the Arena, as the fans chant Jennifer’s name on top of their lungs. The champion, knackered but with a big smile on her face, is on her knees in the middle of the ring, her head reclined back as she stares at the roof. She’s quickly joined by her manager and boyfriend, who helps her back on her feet as the referee is ready to hand her back the Millennium Championship she’s been holding now for 102 days. Jennifer looks down at the title she once again defended successfully, against all odds and against five formidable opponent. She’s barely standing, leaning against her manager thanking the fans for their unceasing support in what will go on the books as her toughest challenge as the top champion of the company.
The duo is eventually leaving the ring when “She’s A Genius” by Jet erupts from the loudspeakers. Being the first to realize what’s happening, Shen shakes his head, repeating obsessively “Not like this”. It takes a few more moments for Jenni to understand what’s going on, but then Nessa Wall appears on the stage, holding the briefcase she won at Into The Fire, back in June. For five months, she patiently waited for the perfect opportunity to cash in, and it’s happening here at Deep Six. Savoring every moment, uncaring of the loud boos of the fans, Nessa slowly makes her way to the ring, her eyes locked on Jennifer and Wei, enjoying their look in front of the inevitability of what is about to happen. Finally, she delivers the briefcase to the referee, who has no choice but to ask Wei to leave the ring. Yang’s manager walks out, keeping his head low and mumbling under his breath, probably feeling guilty for creating the conditions Wall is most likely fully taking advantage of.
Millennium Championship
Jennifer Yang (c) VS Nessa Wall
The fans are watching the match in a heavy silence, well aware that the chances for Jennifer to overcome this further challenger are close to none. But still, as soon as the bell rings, Yang swings with a right hand, catching Nessa on the jaw. As big as her heart and determination can be, they can’t make up from the fatigue of the previous match. Her attacks are precise, but lack the strength for being effective. It’s easy for Nessa to absorb the impact finding an opening in the champion’s defense and connecting with a knee to the guts. Wall starts building some momentum, her strikes rocking the champion who stumbles back, until the spinning backfist Nessa calls Against The Wall knocks her down. Now it’s only a matter of time. A few seconds, after months of waiting separate her from the Millennium Championship. And she can’t help but smile at the thought, right when the unsuspecting Jennifer starts to stand up, visibly dizzy. From outside, Shen screams, trying to warn her. But there’s no way Jennifer can avoid the Kissy, Kissy. Nessa blows her a kiss and charges at the groggy Champion, connecting the Bomaye Knee. It’s lights out for Jenni. Ho watches helpless with the hands in his hair as Nessa makes the cover. The referee’s hand touches the mat three times in the silent arena, signaling the end of Jennifer Yang’s reign as Millennium Champion, after 102 days. WINNER: Nessa Wall (New Champion) BY: Pinfall (Kissy, Kissy), 2:52 |
