Singles Match
JJ Night VS West LongAs the bell sounded Long charged JJ and crushed him with a few right hooks that backed him into the corner. The Warwolf grabbed a hold of the top rope and laid into Night’s midsection with some kicks before whipping him into the opposite corner. The big man followed through with a massive shoulder into the stomach but JJ used his speed to leave through the ropes and shift on the apron, causing the opponent to crash shoulder-first into the turnbuckle. Moving quickly, Night ascended to the top rope and looked at his opponent, backing toward the center of the ring clutching his shoulder in pain. The Kid then jumped for a missile dropkick, hitting the Warwolf’s shoulder with pinpoint precision. The high flier from San Bernardino showed some technical skills and a solid strategy when he began focusing his attacks on that body part, not only with precise kicks but some crafty submissions as well, including a particularly painful-looking sitting armbar. Despite the pressure though, West managed to shift his position and get up to his feet, lifting JJ up in the air and slamming him hard into the canvas. Luna’s bodyguard then attempted a cover, but JJ raised his shoulder in time. The walking mountain of muscles then picked Night up and delivered some hard chops on his chest before he lifted him over his head in a gorilla press position and just tossed him over the top rope and almost into the front row, not too far from where the Academy student Evelyn Carter was sitting. Long’s dominance continued and brought him a few more near falls, including a really close one with his pop-up one handed spinebuster. But JJ was not one to give up easily, and eventually he grabbed West by the wrist, running toward the corner, stepping up to the second rope and jumping on the third. Holding the opponent in the wristlock, JJ then walked on the rope for a few steps before jumping out of the ring, dragging West’s big arm down on the top rope. Wasting no time, he climbed back on the apron and springboarded himself back inside the ring dropping a double axe handle on the opponent’s shoulder. Night remained on the attack, always going for West’s right arm though the young man had learned the lesson from earlier in the match and didn’t go for any hold, preferring a more strike-based offense. He took him down with an armbreaker and then followed with a rolling thunder, landing on the arm as Long was clutching it up to his chest. He still had work to put in to keep the big man down as the Warwolf kicked out in one. As both were up to their feet, JJ delivered a volley of kicks and eventually knocked West down with the Casualty Break (codebreaker) and followed with another cover, this time for a count of two. Every move connecting, every near fall scored seemed to increase JJ's confidence and determination. Feeding off the fans' energy, the winner of the battle Royale at Below Zero eventually slain the giant, blasting him with the Amaterasu (spinning roundhouse kick) and scoring another the second consecutive win (third if we consider the battle Royale) since returning from the injury. WINNER: JJ Night BY: Pinfall (Amaterasu), 11:36 |
The edited instrumental only version of "Enemies" by The Score is playing in the background, as the scene opens up outdoors in a remote area with large ancient stone structures. We see several hooded individuals in white holding torches, illuminating the area. We see a large stone chair and The Man In White wearing a white hoodie, white jeans and white sneakers. They are all chanting something that could not be making out, but as the cameras get closer we could hear The Man In White boldly speaking
The Man In White:
And they ask. How do we know the signs of his coming. And he said; "Behold a white horse and his name that sat on him was The Light and Hades followed with him. And power was given unto him to conquer his opponents, rule the four corners of the ring and lead the repented. He wears a crown of gold and before he sits......"
The followers in white and The Man In White falls to the crown as a massive explosion destroys the stoned throne. As The Man In White gets up he looks at the throne that is no more. We cut to the backstage area of the Mississippi Coast Coliseam in Biloxi, Mississippi. There we see Marcus Ali Jr and Khalil Washington III (both wearing black hoodie, black Levi's jeans and black UA tactical boots) standing by looking at the screen, showing the stoned throne crumbled from the explosion, as The Light's followers continue to try and get their act together. The Bad Boyz then looks at the camera.
Marcus Ali Jr:
And this is why you do not mess with The Bad Boyz.
Khalil Washington III:
But some just don't get it and.... they get to learn the hard way.
Marcus Ali Jr:
Like The Light and his crazy ass cult followers.
Khalil Washington III:
Now they know.
Marcus looks at Khalil and smile.
Marcus Ali Jr:
Hell yeah. .....Now listen up white boys.
Khalil Washington III:
Aka, also known as Alan Envy and Duke Andrews.
Marcus Ali Jr:
Yeahhhhh!!! .....I wanted to look at Duke, I'll would have tuned into College Basketball.
Khalil Washington III:
And The Bad Boyz surely do not envy anybody.
Marcus Ali Jr:
No we don't. But, let's get serious here for a minute. We're The Bad Boyz, we're back and we are a couple of pissed off black men ready to kick ass down here in the South. There ain't nobody, especially two white boys that is gonna stop this ass kicking from taking place.
An hyped up Marcus walks off as Khalil look at the camera.
Khalil Washington III:
Yuh check!!!
He pulls over the hoodie over his head, shrugs and walks off in the same direction of MarCus Ali Jr. Meanwhile on the television as the camera zooms in we see The Man In White all dirty from the explosion.
The Man In White:
His thrown will destroyed and a new one will be built.
On his knees The Man In White looks up into the air, opening his arms wide open.
The Man In White:
The Light is here....
He starts laugh as a bright light from the heavens shines down upon him. As he brings his head back down to stare directly into the camera, hood comes off and we about to see who is The Man In White is.....
The screen goes white as we still hearing The Man In White laughing.

Tag Team Match
Duke Andrews & Alan Envy VS Bad Boyz (Khalil Washington III & Marcus Ali Jr.)
Is APE really back? Sure seemed so, considering their recent tweets. But the questions were, are their issues between them really water under the bridge? Was Alan really the one behind the attacks at the Bad Boyz or he just took advantage of the situation? The Man In White appearing last week in Oklahoma seemed to deny any involvement of the former Tag Team champion, pointing toward a mysterious The Light, but Marcus and Khalil still seemed very wary of Alan. The match started with Duke and Khalil trading hard strikes. The former World Champion got the best of this first exchange thanks to his bigger experience and dragged the opponent toward his corner. Alan raised his foot to the top rope and Duke slammed KW’s face against it, proceeding to tag his partner a moment later. The duo worked together isolating Washington in the corner, showing that a year later and despite their differences, APE was still running strong. An inverted atomic drop from the Lonestar set Khalil up for Duke’s Killshot, but Marcus rushed in to rescue his partner and break up the pin. A huge State Of Emergency discus clothesline by the Bad Boy opened him the way to his partner in the corner, but Alan managed to reach him before he could complete the task. The preacher tried to lift him with a german suplex but the Texas Thug broke free with a couple of elbows to the face, shifting behind the Show Stealer putting him into a full nelson and slamming him into the canvas. Whether Alan was involved with “The Light” and “The Man In White” or not, Marcus wasn’t taking any chances and just beat the crap out of Envy. The former boxer’s background was in full display tonight, those left and right jabs easily hit their targets, too quick and precise for Alan to dodge or block. The Iconic was against the ropes, and things were only about to get worse for him. Ali wrapped his arms around the waist and lifted the opponent, spinning around to take him down to the mat. He mounted on top of him and delivered a few more punches until Envy managed to escape. Staying on the attack, Marcus tried to connect his Thugwrench Powerbomb (gutwrench powerbomb onto the knee) but Alan managed to counter it with a smooth Envious Demise. The evenflow ddt dropped the former Angel Of Mercy on his head, but somehow he managed to kick out before the three. Alan made the tag and Duke came in with his Red Wing Stomps. KW3 entered the ring illegally to save the leader of the Bad Boyz but Andrews welcomed him with the Red White and Blue combo. The former champ was on fire, keeping both Bad Boyz at bay while giving his partner time to recover. Eventually the numbers game caught up on him and the Bad Boyz were back in control. One could argue that they used a couple of shortcuts here and there to accomplish it but that was nothing new when it comes to them, and most importantly, they didn’t seem to care. They kept taking advantage of the lack of experience and rigor of the young referee, double teaming Duke without making the tag and for way longer than the five seconds the rules allowed them to. At some point Khalil walked toward Alan and dragged him back in the ring, with the sole purpose of luring the ref away from Marcus. The leader of the Bad Boyz then wrapped his golden chain around his hand and hit him with the Iron Fist. Duke went down like a to of bricks and at that point Khalil got rid of Alan with a clothesline over the top rope. The ref turned around and, unaware of what went down, counted to three. WINNER: The Bad Boyz BY: Pinfall (Iron Fist), 12:30 |
Robbie Hayden catches up to Melissa Reeves as she strides along a corridor in the backstage. Spotting the budding young interviewer, the veteran stops in her tracks and turns to face him.
Robbie Hayden:
Thank you for stopping, I was hoping to hear your thoughts on-
Melissa Reeves:
Devon Slayton?
Robbie nods.
Melissa Reeves:
Firstly, Robbie, let me say it's been a long time since I was in Mississippi. A long time. I haven't been on a Riot show in a long while, either, and I've not spoken to you for a good long time. Basically? Tonight is full of things I have spent time away from, for me. And then there's Mr. Slayton himself.
She smiles.
Melissa Reeves:
I've seen him around. I've seen him in the ring. Big dude, been wrestling since he was a kid apparently. Not sure where they allow that, but okay. Not many here have an edge on me for experience, but he does. Thing is, in that lesser amount of time, I've achieved so much more.
Turning to the camera, she addresses her opponent directly.
Melissa Reeves:
Devon, for you this is an opportunity. For me, it's just a Sunday. Cya out there.
She steps away from Robbie, leaving any further questions simply left unanswered.

Singles Match
Devon Slayton VS Melissa ReevesFirst match on Riot in over a year for Melissa Reeves and it didn’t start well for the Australian. Before the bell sounded, Devon rushed across the ring and crashed into her with a stiff clothesline. He immediately took on her with rapid short punches and inside forearm shots with a relentless attack. He grabbed her by the hair and the right arm, pulling her from the corner right into a belly-to-belly suplex. The fans were very vocal tonight and didn’t shy away from letting Slayton know what they thought of him. The Black Savior dragged Mel up to her feet and fired her into the opposite corner, charging in and driving his mid-section into her stomach. Melissa groaned in pain as he pulled back and repeated the same move. As he went to do it for a third time, Reeves popped up using the ropes and drove a knee into his face as he charged in with another shoulder. She pushed herself on the top rope and jumped with a flying kick to the face of Slayton, knocking him down. The Reaver hurried to Devon as he pushed to his feet. She blasted him with a downwards punch to the face, he replied with a right hook to the body. The two then locked horns for the first time in the match, an exchange that sees the stronger Slayton coming out on top as he puts Mel in a side headlock. A couple of elbow strikes to the ribs allow the Aussie to break free and shock both him and the fans with a massive Reaver Slam. The former World champion looked in absolute control, staying on top of the opponent with her swift kicks and the occasional ddt variation. Slayton looked pissed, red in the face as he rose to his feet after barely surviving a hammerlock inverted ddt. Mel walloped him with a right but he pushed through it and tackled her to the canvas. Punches and elbows started raining into her face as she tried to block the incoming shots. Eventually she was able to escape, pushing up to her feet. He was quick to kick her in the stomach and whip her across the ring, Mel ducked a clothesline on the run back, hitting the other side of the ring as Slayton whirled around. Once again Mel’s speed came into play as she ducked again but Dev snatched her by the hair with both hands and slammed her down on her back, earning more boos from the fans. The veteran from Robbinsdale, Minnesota began building some momentum with stiff strikes, coming close to what many would have considered an upset win with the Cromwell Invocation. After Reeves kicked out of it, Slayton began showing some signs of frustration, climbing on top of Mel and swinging down with a powerful right hand, connecting with the side of her head. He then jerked her into the air, ignoring the ref’s umpteenth request to abide by the rules and driving Reeves all the way into the corner. The impact caused the Reaver to arch her back in pain. Slayton then hoisted her up on the bottom rope and climbed up as well, ready to connect a superplex. A battle at heights followed, one Mel won knocking the opponent down with a series of rapid fire headbutts. The fans demanded it, and Reeves gladly took the role of the crowd pleaser coming down on Slayton From The Heavens (shooting star press). The high-risk move connected perfectly, but somehow it wasn’t enough to keep the opponent down for three seconds. Not a problem for Melissa, who simply waited until Slayton slowly picked himself up to blast him with the Magnitude Nine, scoring another win. WINNER: Melissa Reeves BY: Pinfall (Magnitude Nine), 9:51 |
“Too Sexy” Tiffany is sitting in her locker room getting a pedicure as Megan Coleman is standing ominously beside her.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
Despite my excellent charm I know that people generally don’t like me and that’s alright because most people are scum. I am not foolish enough to think that all of the friends of a man that I am seeing would like me but Dusty, Tank, seriously guys? At least Dusty admits he has mixed feelings about me. I have to wonder though, Tank, why so angry? Have you heard nothing that Alan has preached that path of the righteous? He advocates forgiveness and that is why he and Duke were able to get past this little tift that they had. I know, I know Megan and I interrupted your Tag Team title match against the golden shower crew but there is no need to hold a grudge. It is just business gentlemen because Megan and I want those World Tag Team titles. What I am saying is take a deep breath guys and be more like Alan, guys.
Tiffany motions towards Megan.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
Do you all see this lady right here? Like I have said before I saw that she was a superstar while all the marks slept on her. She is a smart, tough, beautiful, asskicker. When she finally joined me after all of you morons turned your back on her she remembered who always supported her even from afar…me. Us reigning over the world as the MWE Tag Team champions is just a natural fit. If we leave the fate of MWE in the hands of pathetic people like Matt Stone or Karen Eldon then we are all fucked.
Tiffany shakes her head in disgust at the thought.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
As far as tonight goes Megan and I will walk that aisle both looking phenomenally and step into the ring to take on Tank. Just keep in mind Tank that you are putting your friend in a horrible position. That isn’t on me, Megan, Clyde, Alan, or even Dusty. That is all on you, Tank, and that is a damn shame in every possible way.

Tank Steiner VS Tiffany Lynn-PageLast week’s events really heated up the rivalry between these two teams, with Tiffany assisting Megan and helping her get the win over Dustin Douglas. But tonight, things were taken to the next level. The Austrian Hulk was making his way to the ring, as always welcomed by the cheers of the fans. His parade came to an abrupt end halfway down the ramp as Clyde Sutter attacked him from behind, blasting Herr Steiner with the MENTV championship to the back of the skull. Not far behind him was Tiffany Lynn-Page, barking orders at her hired gun. Sutter stomped and kicked the big man as he was trying to get up to his feet, but those strikes didn’t seem to stop Tank. Finally the towering Austrian was standing again, ready to fight Sutter. A brutal chop lit up the Assassin’s chest, and a moment later the MENTV champion was chokeslammed into the ramp. Tank then turned his attention on Tiffany but rather than attacking her, he dragged her to the ring, determined to settle this the way it was meant to be. But Clyde didn’t stay down for long and reached them at ringside. He pushed Tank head-first into the ring post, freeing Tiffany who quickly entered the ring. The MENTV champion continued tearing Tank apart and eventually delivered the Unforgiven (claymore kick). Following Tiffany’s order, he then pushed Steiner back in the ring while Page demanded that the match would start, even though it seemed clear that Tank was in no shape to fight. The bell still sounded, the Diva gave her opponent time to stand up only to drop him down with the Sex In The City codebreaker, obtaining a cheap, quick win. WINNER: Tiffany Lynn-Page BY: Pinfall (Sex In The City), 0:49 |
We cut backstage to JJ Night, who had just picked up a big win, heading to his locker room. He soon noticed the camera near him and he looked at it and nodded.
JJ Night:
Big win tonight, right? I mean, West Long is huge. Dude is 6’8'' and a powerhouse to boot. But I was able to go out there and pull off the victory. I’m on a roll and this train isn’t going to stop.
JJ paused and thought over those words.
JJ Night:
What I’m saying is, Echo might have started to turn a new leaf but that doesn’t change the fact that she hurt my friends. And it especially doesn’t change the fact that she is holding onto something that I want, and that’s the Junior Heavyweight Championship. She’s less than four months away from holding that championship for a year and she’s blown away every single reign for that championship. But I’m here to take that championship and one up her.
JJ didn’t have his usual jovial smile as he shook his head.
JJ Night:
You see, you all voted Faith as the ‘newcomer’ to watch for this year. I get that. She’s got that Savell name and she’s done several big things. Bigger things than I have, since I’ve been a bit injury prone. But that’s done and over with now. This year? You’re all going to see why I was the best one to come out of the first year of the Academy. I’m going to be the one to watch and to get that kickstarted? I have to keep on winning like this and most of all? I have to become the Junior Heavyweight Champion. Believe that.
JJ nodded as he walked off to his locker room.

Singles Match
Echo VS Luna SmithEcho didn’t start the match with the usual aggression, thus allowing Luna to get the early advantage. She trapped the Aussie in the corner and kicked her in the stomach a few times before finally breaking her down to a sitting position. Echo tried to fight back but came up short as Luna connected with each strike. She then pulled the Junior heavyweight champion back to her feet but got knocked back a few steps as Echo lunged forward and shoved her away. And finally Echo brought up that intensity that always characterized her as she fired back with an assault of her own. Hit after hit, she backed Smith into the opposite corner. She then shot in and rocked her with an elbow to the face before flipping her over with a fireman’s carry takedown. Luna popped back up to her feet and the two collided again, exchanging punches in the center of the ring. The Star Of The Night was faster and she used this to her advantage, dodging the Aussie’s strikes and hitting her with some knees to the ribs. The pace really picked up then as Luna used her aerial attacks. A beautiful springboard cutter took the champ down, but it wasn’t enough to beat her. Luna insisted with some vicious stomps before she picked Echo up and hit her with two more knee strikes, setting her up for her Upgrade (overdrive neckbreaker). The MENTV champion had this scouted and countered it with an electric chair driver, obtaining a count of two. If in the first minutes we witnessed a hard hitting contest, the second part of the match saw the two opponents opting for different styles. Luna, obviously, relied on her speed trying to catch Echo off guard with quick pinning predicaments and cheeky shortcuts such as feet on the ropes or grabbing the trunks. Echo, instead, started focusing on Luna’s legs, taking her down with a legsweep and putting her into excruciating submissions, Including the infamous Fight Lab calf crusher, the same move she broke her former mentor’s leg with. She didn’t go that far this time, surprisingly letting go once Luna reached the ropes. But the damage was done, the former Lockdown champion was favoring her leg, and that will definitely affect her style. No more flips and acrobatic attacks for her, forced once again to change strategy and return to a more static type of offense. Her throat strikes allowed her to keep some distance between her and Echo, enough to hit the Starstorm (discus roundhouse kick). That may have not been the best idea, as the impact apparently hurt Smith as well, possibly aggravating the leg injury. But it was still a huge opportunity to win the match, all she had to do was to drag herself on top of Echo and let the referee count the one, two, thr… NO! The Aussie popped her shoulder up at the last moment. Luna’s desperation plan officially backfired as she struggled to even get up. Once she did, she was an easy target for Echo. A few kick to the thighs, a shin breaker and right into the heel hook. Luna didn’t even try to resist, tapping out quickly to the painful submission. WINNER: Echo BY: Submission (Heel Hook), 13:26 |
Backstage we find “The British Bombshell” Glory Braddock dressed in her royal purple wrestling gear. She looks intense and focused. Tonight she will need to be focused; her opponent is the monster Clyde Sutter. Standing with her is reporter Robbie Hayden.
Robbie Hayden:
Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time hopes to get even with a bitter rival and maybe win some gold in the process. I am talking about Glory Braddock. Thank you for joining me, Glory.
Glory Braddock:
No problem, mate.
Robbie Hayden:
We know how proud you are, you hate losing. Your opponent tonight beat you at Below Zero. But how much of this is professional pride, meaning you want to get that win back and win a championship, and how much of this match is personal, meaning you just want to hurt Clyde Sutter?
Braddock nods her head.
Glory Braddock:
That’s a very good question, mate. People don’t know the entire story behind my past with Sutter. It goes deeper than his bloody ridiculous claims of me blackballing him from wrestling promotions. Some of the information I cannot and will not say. But his gripe with me started when I kicked him out of my wrestling school. I kicked him out because he was a bully, a violent bully who intentionally hurt his fellow students just because he could. I watched him bully people here in MWE. I saw him try and intimidate James Edwards and I even saw him try and intimidate you, Robbie. You shouldn’t have to put up with his crap. No one should.
She shakes her head.
Glory Braddock:
He beat me at Below Zero. I could make excuses but I won’t. Fact is he beat me. Then we beat each other up at Red Line. Tonight isn’t about evening the score, it isn’t even about winning a championship though that will be icing on the cake. Tonight is about punching Sutter in his damn mouth. Tonight is about me bullying the bully.
Just then “The Assassin” himself, Clyde Sutter, steps into view. The MWE MENTV Champion smirks.
Clyde Sutter:
There you go again, Gloria. Spinning the facts just like the politician you are. How about we give Mr. Hayden here a real scoop? Let’s tell him about how I dated your daughter. And after your whore of a daughter decided to split with yours truly, you started throwing out wild accusations of abuse. You accused me of abusing your bitch of a child. From what I understand she even admitted everything we did was consensual but you persisted with your insane claims. Until pressure from my attorneys finally convinced you to back off.
He chuckles.
Clyde Sutter:
You see, Mr. Hayden, this rivalry goes deeper than what you think. But I’m living rent free in Braddock’s head, that’s what gives me the advantage tonight. Am I right, Glory?
Glory Braddock:
Go to hell.
Clyde Sutter:
Don’t want to talk? A shame. Maybe I should talk to your best friend, your childhood friend Matthew Taylor? Oh, wait, I can’t because I put him in the hospital with a back injury after kicking the crap out of him on GCW Fever.
Glory Braddock:
Maybe I’ll choke you out and send you to the hospital next to him?!
Sutter chuckles.
Clyde Sutter:
Do that…do it and prove that you are not the hero you claim to be, do it and prove that I’m right about you and your entire family.
Sutter turns and walks off. Robbie looks up at Glory.
Robbie Hayden:
Uh, good luck?
Glory Braddock:
Thanks, mate.
Robbie Hayden:

The scene opens up in a small apartment bedroom. There sitting on the nearly made bed is Alex Andrews. The first noticeable thing we see about her is the smile on her face. Then, we notice the MWE Riot Championship belt laid across her lap. She runs her hands across the face of the belt as she begins to talk.
Alex Andrews :
2021 was quite the banner year for me. I went from being almost aimless, trying to suffer through Neil Newman's "tough love" to ripping the MENTV Championship from his grasp to losing it to "Trash Doll Princess" Tiffany Lynn-Page under dubious circumstances. To winning it back again against a battered and beaten Burning Heart James Edwards, to racking up the five defenses needed to cash in for this baby. To beating Pierce Manning despite him trying to knock me out with a roll of quarters.
She chuckles a bit and simply shakes her head.
Alex Andrews :
What a weird wonderful year its been. So, I entered this year with a brand new title of my very own and even managed to pick up an award, something I completely didn't expect. And my first match is a bit of a doozy, but it's a task I'm reveling in. You see, I'm not the only one to end the year on a high note. BROOKFORD made his presence known at the end of the year and choked the stuffing out of Duke Andrews to claim the MWE World Championship.
Alex tugs the Riot Championship up to rest on her shoulder.
Alex Andrews :
I know I have my work cut out for me, but if last year proved anything its this; Alex Andrews is a fighter. Though the ups and downs of the last year, I scrapped and clawed and stood my ground when common sense might have told me backing down might have been the smarter play. I say all of that to say this, you might be bigger and stronger than me, but I've also spent my career fighting men and women substantially larger than myself and have gotten it done before. If anyone can get this dkne, it's ya girl right here.
Alex nudges the belt on her shoulder, just a little upwards towards the camera.
Alex Andrews :
I even managed to defend that MENTV Championship against a former World Champion on my road to this gold, so yeah, while I'm still in the relative infancy of my career, I refuse to be intimidated into handing the match away before we've been stepped into the ring together. I will fight you, BROOKFORD, bar none. I'm not going to back down or give you an inch. You might toss me around and beat me bloody, but i. Wont. Quit. There is zero quit in Lady Limitless. I know what a match of this caliber could do to my career, I'm well aware of the ramifications and so, you're going to have a war on your hands, Champ, cause I plan on bringing one.
Alex nods at the camera sternly and grabs her gym bag laid beside her on the bed and walks out of the room, a moment later, the scene fades.

Trios Match Match
Nightfall Rising & Leia LeBeau VS Glorious Golden Era (Neil Newman & Kyle Butler & Sophie O'Brian)
The ref brought all six wrestlers in the middle of the ring before the match for the usual recommendations. Donnie and Jay didn’t even wait for the bell, superkicking Neil and Kyle immediately setting the tone of the night. The two members of the Golden Era rolled out of the ring, but that wasn’t enough to keep them safe from the Nightfall boys. With simultaneous suicide dives Keane and Gallagher flew through the ropes and onto the opponents, leaving the ladies in the ring to start the hostility. Leia looked particularly aggressive from the get going, using those long legs of her to attack Sophie from a relatively safe distance. But O’Brian was ready for them, she probably spent the whole week since the match was announced studying tapes of Leia and memorizing her most characteristic combinations, managing to dodge and parry some of them, minimizing the damage taken. She even blocked one of those kicks and threw Leia close to her corner with an exploder suplex. Tag to Kyle, welcomed by a round of applause and a “Roll Tide” chant from the fans. They didn’t get to see the move they wished for but they still were delighted with Butler’s smooth suplexes, as well as some OG Golden Era combined attacks now that he and Neil were reunited for one night. Their patented wheelbarrow facebuster/cutter combination earned their team a very close fall. Tag Team wrestling at its finest tonight in Biloxi once Leia managed to break the Glorious Golden Era offense and reach her corner, making the tag to her boyfriend. Nightfall Rising, when they’re focused and not dealing with the injuries that plagued their last year, are one of the most exciting teams to watch, and they proved it tonight. Innovative offense combined with their perfect chemistry honed throughout all the years allowed Jay and Donnie to turn the tides, and they made it look easy too. Newman found himself on the wrong side of their double superkick and got dropped flat on his back. Keane and Gallagher then climbed to opposite corners and jumped on their opponents with a legdrop (Donnie) and a splash (Jay). Kyle and Sophie both entered the ring to save their partner, Leia joined them to level the playing field. And all hell broke loose, the six of them just started to fight in a chaotic brawl. The referee begged them to leave and allow the match to continue, but nobody was listening to him. Eventually, the order was restored as, one by one, they started taking each other out, leaving Jay and Neil, the legal men, inside the ring. The tag champion caught the younger opponent with a high-angle delayed bridging german suplex but Gallagher kicked out in two. After the two almost took each other’s head off with simultaneous bicycle kicks, they both decided to go for the tag. The match ended the same way it started with Leia and Sophie in the ring. The Northern Irish got very close to the win with her Death Of Wisdom, but in the end Leia was the one getting the decisive pin with a quick roll up and a little help from the ropes, on which she cheekily leaned to get that extra leverage. WINNER: Leia LeBeau & Nightfall Rising BY: Pinfall (roll-up), 18:06 |
The scene opens backstage in the interview area with BROOKFORD already in his wrestling gear. The fans give him a welcoming ovation. The MWE World Championship is draped across his shoulder. His expression is stoic per usual.
BROOKFORD:
Alex Andrews. To be frank, up until now you weren’t relevant to me at all. I was focused on one thing, becoming the World Champion. You were never directly in my path. No real reason to pay you no mind... until now. So I studied up. I did my due diligence. And you know what, I’m impressed. No question you’ve done the work. You are a competitor who shouldn’t be underestimated. Anyone who can survive five straight defenses of the MENTV Championship and beat the former Riot champion twice in a row. The future is bright. Bet you have aspirations to take what I have.
BROOKFORD pauses. The camera zooms in on the World Championship. After lingering on the belt for a couple seconds, the camera zooms out.
BROOKFORD:
Don’t get too greedy, Alex. The gains you have made in your career here are admirable. Only one person can stand at the top of the good chain. That person is me. As far as you’ve come, you are not on my level. As good as you are, I am the biggest problem this company has, not you. There are levels to this. The World Champion will always be above the Riot Champion, tonight, I remind you and everyone else who the top dog is.
BROOKFORD smirks. He walks off to a positive reaction as the scene fades.

Champion vs Champion Match
BROOKFORD VS Alex AndrewsAmy Maynard: “The big main event is finally here! Champion versus champion…” Sir Figgles: “I hate these matches, they’re a waste of time. There’s a reason why one of them is a world champion and the other, poorly, represents a brand.” Amy Maynard: “Back with the hate for Alex, I see… Still mad that she beat your man Pierce at Below Zero?” Sir Figgles: “That was a fluke. She isn’t ready to represent Riot, and she’ll prove it tonight.” Amy Maynard: “That’s exactly what you were saying on Christmas and look at her now. Sure, she has a huge task in front of her in the World Champion himself, but she’s known for scoring some major upsets. Who knows, we may witness another one tonight.” Both competitors were stepping in the ring for the first time since winning the titles at the last pay-per-view, and both were looking to start their reign and year with a win. It was no surprise to hear the Riot fans cheering for the “hometown” girl, the 2021 Female Wrestler Of The Year Alex Andrews. This could always be a double-edged sword for Lady Limitless. On one side, providing her that extra determination to make her fans proud but, on the other hand, it was all extra pressure on her shoulders. And it wasn’t like she needed it. She seemed to handle it just fine though, especially in the first minutes. Unafraid, she just launched herself against the big man, hitting him with a flurry of strikes. A start that took the Problem Solver off guard, he definitely was expecting a more cautious opening from the Riot champion. Punch after punch, Alex gained ground and back the World champ against the ropes. There she smacked his chest with a couple of chops before attempting a bold irish whip BROOKFORD countered it and sent her into the ropes. Andrews bounced back and ducked the champ’s clothesline, rebounding from the opposite side with a low dropkick to the knee that took the New Yorker down. Popping up to her feet, Alex then took another run at the ropes to hit the champ with a running single leg dropkick to the face. Amy Maynard: “Great start by the Riot champion, she’s really giving BROOKFORD a run for his money.” Sir Figgles: “I think she probably cheated, starting before the bell.” Amy Maynard: “Nope, that never happened.” BROOKFORD then stood to his feet as intensity built in his eyes. He grabbed Andrews by the head and pulled her to her feet with ease. He then pulled her head underneath his arm and lifted her into the air in a vertical position. Stalling for a moment with Alex held up, the Problem Solver then brought her down and drove her body into the canvas with a powerslam that rumbled the entire ring. The World champion then hooked the leg for a cover, and Andrews barely kicked out in time. Sir Figgles: “One second, that’s all it took BROOKFORD to turn the tables.” Amy Maynard: “Nobody is saying he’s not the favorite in this match.. Alex is definitely the underdog, but you shouldn’t make the mistake to underestimate her, that’s what I’m saying. BROOKFORD surely isn’t.” Even when he managed to stay in control for long minutes, BROOKFORD always looked very wary of his younger opponent, fearing her comebacks. The Riot champion took a lot of punishment, surviving the sitout full nelson atomic drop and the spinning side slam on top of the countless hard strikes the Problem Solver delivered. BROOKFORD never lost his cool, sticking to his usual slow, methodical pace. The World champ dragged her up once again, Alex tried to fight back with some weak punches to the ribs that didn’t seem to affect BROOKFORD too much. He shook his head and literally threw her into the corner, wasting no time to charge in and squash her with a splash. Instinctively Andrews raised her boot, connecting it to Brook’s face and buying herself some time. Nathaniel shrugged it off and charged once again, this time eating an elbow to the face. The fans turned up the volume, cheering louder for Alex as if to push her that extra mile. And she fed on their energy, fighting her way out of the corner and pushing BROOKFORD once again against the ropes. This time she went for a clothesline, dropping the champion over the top rope and out of the ring. She stepped through the ropes as well, lurking on the apron and waiting for him to get up. When he did, she jumped and hit him with a knee to the side of the head. Amy Maynard: “What a comeback! The Riot champion is still alive!” Sir Figgles: “Where are you going kid? Strike the iron while it’s hot!” Amy Maynard: “I think going back inside the ring is wise, instead. Out there, especially with a guy like BROOKFORD, things can get dangerous and this little advantage she built might be gone in the blink of an eye.” Eventually BROOKFORD came back inside the ring as the count reached eight. He looked a bit dizzy, but still willing to fight. He clocked Alex with a couple of heavy rights and quickly regained control. Just when it seemed he had this in his pocket, Alex almost surprised him with the Mouse Trap (la magistral), getting extremely close to the three. They both were quickly up, Andrews just a little faster than the world champ, enough to hit him with a brutal Elysium. Another cover for the Riot champion and another two and half. She couldn’t believe it, getting up and going for a second Elysium, running right into a sitout spinebuster from the Problem Solver. Two close calls were too many for BROOKFORD, determined to bring this home without taking any more risks. He started wearing the opponent down with chokes and neck holds, slowly but steadily taking out Alex’ remaining strength before putting her down with the Lights Out. WINNER: BROOKFORD BY: Submission (Lights Out), 22:29 |
