2x10 THE ROSE AND THE JACKAL
The Gym December 17, 2021 4:11 PM
Jasper King, the first Gold Star of this class was, unsurprisingly, lifting weights in the gym. Next to him was Taylor Wheeler, once of the Academy trainer and a former wrestler forced to retirement by a career ending neck injury.
Taylor Wheeler: That's enough for today, Jasper, well done.
The trainer said helping the young man putting the weights down in place.
Jasper King: You sure? Cause I feel like I could go for another round...
The King Of Pumpkins said as he stood up from the bench, adjusting the beanie he always wears during his training on his head.
Taylor Wheeler: It's never wise to push yourself too much. It only takes a moment to injure yourself, and weeks or months to heal.
He offered a smile at the young student, who nodded in agreement.
Taylor Wheeler: You look in great shape, did you lose some weight?
Jasper King: Yep, dropped down to 302.
He happily said as he flexed, showing off his muscles.
Jasper King: Are you gonna teach me to do a moonsault, now?
Taylor let out a chuckle, not at all surprised by a request that Jasper probably made a few times in this two months in the Academy. The look on his face though quickly changed as he glanced at the student.
Taylor Wheeler: Wait, are you serious?
Jasper nodded.
Jasper King: Yes sir.
Taylor Wheeler: I don't know if that's a good idea...
Jasper King: But Tank does them, and he's a big meaty boy like me!
Taylor approached him and looked right in his eyes.
Taylor Wheeler: Your strength is second to none. You're probably the strongest kid not only in the Academy, but in MWE as well. You should focus on that to win your matches, avoiding unnecessary risks.
Jasper King: But I wanna learn! Some big matches only stuff, the fans will love it!
A bitter smile crept up on Taylor's face.
Taylor Wheeler: They probably would, you're right. But do you know what they would love even more? To see you have a long and successfull career, which you no doubt will have if you don't try to shorten with moonsaults.
Jasper King: But...
He stopped, as Taylor gone already. The King Of Pumpkins stood there, visibly disappointed at the setback his dream to fly just received.
Singles Match
Devin Levandrier VS Addison McKinley
- Devin and Addi both came at each other quickly at the sound of the bell. Levandrier lunged forward with a clothesline but McKinley sidestepped him and dropped him to the mat with a drop toe hold. She quickly on his back and delivered a series of knees to his sides, knocking the air out of him.
- Devin gets up to his feet and caught Addi with a hard right to the side of the head, causing the young woman to stumble. He went for another clothesline and this time leveled McKinley with it.
- The canadian then slammed Addison to the canvas with a side belly to belly suplex, following up with a leg drop across the throat. He quickly covered for the pin, but McKinley threw her shoulder up in two.
- A strong start from Devin who once again picked Addison up by her head and delivered a hard uppercut that sent her reeling back. When he charged though, Addison quickly took him out with a dropkick to the leg, sending him hanging on the middle rope.
- With a nice dispaly of athleticism, she slinshotted herself on the apron and quickly hit him with a knee to the side of the head.
- Springboard elbow drop to get back in the ring, right into a cover for another near fall.
- Addi kept control oward the end of the match, her fast offense forcing Devin on the back foot. Another hard bicycle knee strike took the young man down.
- Addi took a risk but it didn't pay off as her diving crossbody was blocked by Devin. He caught her in mid air and dropped her onto his knee wth a rib breaker.
- Levandrier kept attacking the youngest member of the Academy with hard striking combinations, knocking her down to one knee. Then he rushed at her and finished her off with a brutal running single leg dropkick.

Team Title Match Team Noir (Walker & BebeLeBeau) VS Team Strike (Emma Wakefield & Evelyn Carter)
- Determined to take back the titles she lost two weeks ago against Walker and Jasper King, Evelyn took control early with a discus elbow smash that sent the new student into the ropes.
- Carter followed with a standing dropkick that sent Walker over the top rope. The New Yorker was able to land on the apron and, when Vi came charging in, he quickly launched himself through the ropes and tackled her down with a spear.
- Walker threw a barrage of forearm strikes at Evelyn, following with a snap suplex. He made the first cover of his march but Vi raised her shoulder in time.
- Evelyn was able to make the tag. Emma dodged Walker's right punch, grabbed his arm, twisted it behind his back and dropped him on his head with a hammerlock ddt.
- It was a neck-and-neck battle into the middle of the match as the intensity grew between the two students. Bebe kept asking Walker to make the tag but the newcomer was willing to show off and tried to handle this on his own, but he ate a bicycle kick from Emma.
- Finally Walker made the tag after dropping Wakefield down with a superkick. Bebe entered the ring and swept the member of Team Strike with a running crossbody.
- LeBeau hit a flurry of kicks to the chest of the kneeling Emma, perhaps a tribute to her sister's Show Kicks? The last one aimed higher at her head, but Emma ducked it and rolled the young girl on her shoulders, obtaining a two count.
- After a double tag, Evelyn and Walker back in the ring. Carter showed some new moves, like a springboard enziguri that knocked the opponent flat on his back. She followed with a cartwheel legdrop and made the cover, but Bebe broke up the pin.
- The pace picked up once again with Vi and Walker in the ring. The two took part in a long exchange of pinfalls attempts and counters, at the end of which they both stood up ad and went for simultaneous standing dropkicks.
- Walker countered Evelyn's headscissors takedown with a cartwheel, landing on his feet and making the quick tag to Bebe.
- Huge flatliner from the young LeBeau, giving her a long count of two.
- Vi looked dazed after it but still fought back, leaving Bebe stunned with a jumping knee to the chin. She went to make the tag to her corner but once she got there, she found it empty. Walker, in fact, quickly ran around the ring and took Emma off the apron by yanking at her foot and causing her to drop face first on the apron. Evelyn turned around into a superkick from Bebe who then hooked both legs to retain the Team Title.
WINNER: Team Noir (STILL TEAM CHAMPION) BY: Pinfall (superkick), 17:05 |
