2x09 UNDER BURNING SKIES
The Gym December 8, 2021 3:29 PM
We find ourselves in Rainer’s room here at the Academy where Erika Eldon is sitting on his bed, while he is doing a few sit ups next to it. Erika seems a bit frazzled and worried about what they have coming to them later in the week.
Erika Eldon: This is soooo not fair! You have to defend your Gold Star against like half of the Academy. While I have to face Bey and my mom’s boyfriend…I feel like Gian has a vendetta against us, like you said!
Erika shakes her head, seeming to be repeating something she heard Rainer say prior but making it her own. Without skipping a beat, Rainer continues his sit ups, replying to Erika.
Rainer Nordhagen: I couldn’t have said it better myself, Erika. They’ve got it in for me, and by extension, they have it in for you too. I told you to stick by me and I’d take us to the top - but I won’t lie, I didn’t expect all of this.
Rainer scoffs, beginning to perform some Russian twists.
Erika Eldon: You will still persevere!
Erika stops after saying that unsure if she used it right.
Erika Eldon: I know that you will come out on top. Just like I will this week. Team Rainer will keep on marching.
Nordhagen nods, wiping some sweat from his brow as he rests his forearms on his knees.
Rainer Nordhagen: I mean really, Devin, Bebe and Shaina? Do they really think they’ve truly earned an opportunity for MY Gold Star? The answer obviously, is no. None of them have, and I’m going to prove that none of them even come close to me.
Rainer smirks, visualising himself dominating his Gold Star defence. He then points at Erika.
Rainer Nordhagen: And you...you need to stand up for yourself, Erika. That idiot Gabe has been pushing you around and trying to control you for too long. He’s been trying to tell you how to live your life - isn’t that just so ridiculous?! You need to send a message.
Erika Eldon: You are right! He totally has. Like, he thinks he is soooooo perfect and nice. I will show him that he isn't. Then we can celebrate!
Erika says this clearly just for Rainer's approval. He nods again, either oblivious to the fact that she’s literally agreeing with everything he says, or simply too full of himself to care.
Rainer Nordhagen: Good, good. Yes, remember that, he isn’t perfect and nice. He’s a manipulator, and you know, if some accident should befall him...it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world, you know? I’m sure you can figure it out yourself, you’re a smart girl.
Nodding her head in agreement seemingly struggling to come up with that plan herself. But trying her best to as Rainer continues to work out. The two as usual up to no good.
8 Triple Threat Match
Bey Addams VS Gabriel Landry VS Erika Eldon
- Bey drew first blood hitting the unaware Erika with a back kick to the midsection and knocking her down with a discus elbow. Gabriel lunged in but Addams ducked his attempt and quickly brought him to the mat with a headlock takedown, twisting her legs around Landry's neck immediately showing her impressive skills.
- Erika quickly breaks it up with a kick to Bey's head, trying to convince Gabriel that, since she saved him, he should help her taking out Addams. But Landry wasn't one to make shady deals or take shortcuts and he jumped with his legs apart, flipping Erika on the mat with a headscissors takedown.
- Erika rolled under the bottom rope and waited on the apron, letting her two opponents wear each other out. She sneaked in to pin Bey with a roll-up, but Addams kicked out in two.
- Bey already had had enough of Erika and her shenanigans. Blocking the young girl in the corner, she fired off a series of hard chops to the chest, then switched to knees to the stomach. Seeing a dazed Gabriel getting up to his feet in the opposite corner of the ring, Bey whipped Eldon against him, but Landry was quick to take a few steps forward. Not only he avoided the impact with Erika, but he also caught her for a spanish fly for a count of two.
- Gabriel looked impressive, getting close to the win in another circumstance when he dropped Addams on her head with a tilt-a-whirl ddt.
- Bey was able to use his enthusiasm against him, luring him in as she was laying against the ropes only to move away at the last moment while pulling down the top rope, sending him crushing on the floor outside.
- With Gabriel now out of the way, she could focus on Eldon. Erika has made a lot of progress in these first two months, but Addams seemed to be in a different league, outclassing the blonde and pinning her with a bridging dragon suplex for a two and half.
- Erika had her moment to shine when she was able to stun Bey with a jaw breaker followed by a swift kicking combination culminating in a running knee strike that floored the opponent. Eldon climbed to the top rope and jumped off with a simple splash, landing perfectly on top of Addams who kicked out in two.
- Gabriel finally came back into the ring with a springboard clothesline to level Bey.
- Landry charged at Erika in the corner, ending up face first against the middle turnbuckle as the daughter of his girlfriend took his knee out with a low dropkick.
- Erika unleashed a flurry of strikes to Bey, but Addams turned the tables with a knee to the stomach and a facebuster.
- Gabriel sprinted out of the corner and connected a running bulldog on Bey before she could get up. He then positioned himself next to Erika and jumped onto her with a standing moonsault, obtaining the three count.
WINNER: Gabriel Landry BY: Pinfall (Standing Moonsault), 11:44 |
Gold Star Match Rainer Nordhagen © VS Devin Levandrier VS Bebe LeBeau VS Shaina Sheridan
- Rainer seemed slightly concerned as he entered the ring. In a match like this, he could lose the title without even getting pinned, and you could tell that part was what was bothering him the most.
- As the match started, he seemed to be trying to convince Bebe to work with him, only to blindside her with a clothesline to the back of the head as soon as she took one step toward Shaina.
- The Gold Star quickly got rid of LeBeau, throwing her over the top rope. He then watched as Devin and Shaina traded blows, waiting for the chance to strike. Levandrier rocked the social media star with an enziguri and that was when Nordhagen struck, pushing him through the ropes and taking Sheridan down with a belly-to-back suplex, quickly shifting into a cover for a count of two.
- Bebe entered the ring and charged at Rainer calling him a bish. The Gold Star suddenly found himself in a two versus one situation as Sheridan joined Bebe in going after him with a flurry of kicks. Devin climbed up to the apron and from there went on the third rope, taking everyone out with a diving crossbody.
- The Gold Star left the ring to regroup after a superkick from Devin. Even from there he was able to save his reign by pulling Devin out of the ring as he tried to pin Bebe.
- While the two young men brawled on the outside, the ladies battled it out inside the ring. No love loss between them as they traded hard punches in an exchange that saw Bebe coming out on top, leaping forward and taking the opponent down with a Thesz Press followed by a tempest of lefts and rights.
- Shaina acted all innocent when the referee warned her for pulling Bebe's hair to escape a headlock. And she used the official as a shield when a furious LeBeau charged at her.
- On the outside, Rainer pushed Devin back first into the apron and from there slammed his face into the post. Leaving Levandrier down on the outside, the Gold Star entered the ring, leaning against the corner to catch his breath while keeping an eye on the two remaining opponents.
- Another underhanded tactic allowed Shaina to get the best of Bebe. A thumb to the eye created some separation between the two women giving Sheridan the opportunity to knock LeBeau down with a running bicycle knee strike.
- The same move hit her as Rainer exploded out of his corner to take her out before she could make the cover. He pinned her and got a two. He pinned Bebe and obtained the same outcome.
- Devin was back in the exciting final part of the match, and he was on fire. Springboard crossbody to Rainer, somersault neckbreaker to Bebe, spinning heel kick to Shaina. In a minute he cleaned the ring, but unfortunately for him that wasn't enough to win.
- Bebe was out, courtesy of a cactus clothesline from the Devin. Inside the ring, Shaina was trying to defend herself from Levandrier but he managed to drop her down with a brainbuster. As he was about to make the cover, Rainer reappeared behind him after spending the last couple of minutes out of the ring and launched through the second and top rope, shoulder first into the ring post. Capitalizing on Devin's hard work, the Gold Star obtained the win with a cover on Shaina.
