Gimmick
An icon of his day, Paddy Costigan has accomplished everything there is to accomplish in this business. Still, five years removed from his last in-ring performance and into his 60s, he’s still driven to compete purely for the glory and desire of being the best in the world. This comes in part because Paddy is still bitter he feels he was never really given the opportunity to be THE guy for the various promotions he worked for over the course of his career despite believes he has always been the most talented and marketable heel in the business. He is the premier egomaniac. They don’t call him “Perfect” for nothing. He lives it, breathes it, and does everything in his power to preserve the perception that he is God’s gift to the world.
Strengths
1. Confidence - Costigan is cool, calm, and collected. He believes in himself and his abilities support his beliefs.
2. Calculated - Every move, every second of a match is well thought out. Costigan never goes into a match without an approach he believes to be perfectly drawn up.
3. Relentless - Costigan’s goal is to win, and that means doing so by any means necessary.
Weaknesses
1. Pride - Costigan’s confidence is a strength and weakness, specifically when it pits him in positions that stack the odds against him.
2. Carelessness - Some nights, especially if there were no championships at stake or anything to prove, Costigan simply had no interest in fighting harder than he felt that evening.
3. Lone Wolf - As much as people love to attach themselves to Costigan and ride his coattails, he has a tendency to eventually rub those same people the wrong way and leave himself alone on an island.

CHARACTER HISTORY/BIO
Made his debut during the Spring of 1980 and made his name early on by dominating the midwestern territories. He started to expand his reach in the mid 80s, competing throughout the country and firmly placing himself among the best technicians in the world at that time. He made tours to Japan and Mexico as well, but mostly kept to the US and Canada through the 90s and into the twilight of his career. Despite his wrestling talent and ability to draw due to the crowd’s sheer hatred for him alone, Costigan was scarcely given an opportunity to carry a promotion over the course of his 33-year career despite being an 8-time World Champion. His last match came in September of 2013, but Costigan has never discretely said he would not return to in-ring competition again.
