2x07 CROSSFIRE TRAIL
Greensboro, North Carolina.
November 13, 2021
8:40 PM
Backstage footage is shown from Night One of On the Rise, we find Gabriel Landry one of the Academy Students exiting the medical tent. Having had an amazing match with Devin Levandrier on the pre-show, he is holding his neck in a bit of pain. As he exits the medical area though he is greeted by one half of the MWE Tag Team Champions, Karen Eldon. Dressed in a black dress and heels she wastes no time rushing him jumping up into his arms.
Karen Eldon:
You did it!
Able to catch her despite the pain he went through earlier in the night, Gabriel holds her as the two embrace and begin to kiss. This is not a sight the fans are eager to see, boos raining down as they have to watch this on the monitors between matches. Once the make out session is complete, Gabe takes a moment to catch his breath.
Gabriel Landry:
Devin didn’t make it easy, that’s for certain. Glad I was able to pull it off. Hasn’t fully sunk in yet, I am one step away from becoming Gold Star Champion. I’ll worry about that another day.
Gabriel pulls Karen again. They continue to make out not to the delight of the capacity audience. The young man doesn’t care. Won a huge match. Making out with his girlfriend, the fans displeasure is the last thing on his mind.
Karen Eldon:
You don’t need to even worry about it, you are destined to be the Gold Star. Because you are a winner Gabriel.
Karen leans in giving him another peck on the lips that is met with even more boos from the crowd. Gabriel nods.
Gabriel Landry:
You’re right, I got this. Doesn’t matter who comes out the other end the Gold Star Champion, I showed tonight I excel in high pressure situations. I can do it again.
Karen Eldon:
Yes you will! You are amazing! Oh and I got a text from Erika a week ago, about some boy Rainer? She seems in love, just let her do her thing. Don’t bother her…
Gabriel seemed about ready to speak negatively of Rainer but seeing Karen’s lack of desire to get involved in her daughter’s dealings he backs off.
Gabriel Landry:
For the best. I tried my best talking to her, the heart wants what the heart wants. No one knows that better than us, right?
Gabriel flashes a smile. This draws more boos from the audience.
Gabriel Landry:
No one out there understands our connection. They don’t need to. This situation is different cause she’s your daughter, the same rule applies right? I need to focus more on my development anyway. Can’t get too caught up in extracurriculars. If anything happens I’ll step up. Promise. We can both agree I need to focus more on me, especially with this upcoming opportunity to become Gold Star Champion.
Karen Eldon:
You focus on you, hun. Just make sure my daughter doesn’t physically get hurt. But you worry about getting that Gold Star and most of all proving you are the best. Let’s go celebrate…
Biting her lip and tugging Gabriel down the hall by his shirt, the crowd never enjoying their public displays of affection.

The Laundry Room
November 17, 2021
6:51 PM
We find ourselves in the laundry room area here in the Academy. Sitting up against the wall is Rainer Nordhagen on his phone, as we pan out further we find Erika Eldon sorting through what are clearly not her own clothes. Instead as she holds a shirt we can see it’s clearly the type of style Rainer would wear. Having seemingly pawned off laundry duties, though not exactly working out for him like he might have thought.
Erika Eldon:
I really don’t get why we need these little machines. Back at my house we had a hamper that we put them in and they came back clean the next day.
Shaking her head struggling with adapting to life on her own, Rainer stands up realizing for the sake of his clothes he better step in. Hopping off one of the machines, he takes his shirt from Erika, placing it inside of the machine.
Rainer Nordhagen:
Here - it’s...pretty complicated, but you could probably pick it up. You just put the clothes in here...add in the detergent and stuff...then you just turn it on and pick the right setting.
He walks through the whole process, showing alongside telling as he puts a load into the machine. Rainer turns back to Erika, raising a finger.
Rainer Nordhagen:
For future reference, not too hot. I don’t need another crop top. I mean, they do end up looking good on you - but you can just ask for some, we don’t need to go shrinking my clothes.
Looking down at the crop top she is currently wearing, biting her lip.
Erika Eldon:
It does look good on me doesn’t it?
Rainer seems to be leaning in to kiss her but instead Erika whose mind is always all over the place doesn’t pick up on it at all.
Erika Eldon:
I just remembered I am facing you this week aren’t I? I shouldn’t be helping you with your laundry. We should be fighting right?
She says this very clearly joking. He pulls back, a slight chuckle of embarrassment escaping his lips as he rubs the back of his head. Rainer rolls his eyes as Erika makes her last remark, beginning to nod.
Rainer Nordhagen:
Yeah, that’s exactly what they want. What were they thinking putting this together? Like we would ever go along with it!? ...Like I would ever team with that annoying little idiot Gabe.
Rainer almost shudders in disgust, shaking his head at the absurdity of the situation he finds himself in.
Erika Eldon:
Yeah and I have to team with that chubby loser Jasper!
Erika says this but as usual seems very much so like she doesn’t want to actually insult Jasper, just more so repeating something Rainer has said.
Erika Eldon:
But thankfully you came up with that awesome plan!
Rainer grins, beginning to nod.
Rainer Nordhagen:
That’s right...the plan. If we stick to it - and I mean, really stick to it, this match will go just fine.
He chuckles again, but this time with far more confidence.
Rainer Nordhagen:
Trust me, this’ll be the last time they do something as stupid as this!
Smiling as she looks up at you Rainer, her usual infatuated eyes staring up at him. The two, well likely just Rainer clearly having something cooked up.

Helena's Office
November 18, 2021
3:03 PM
The footage opened up to just outside of the office of Helena Noir, the camera pointing directly at the door. As the door swung open, two figures stepped out, one being Helena herself, and the other being a woman who had never been seen on Academy television before. A curvaceous woman wearing a pale blue business suit, with long silky hair followed Noir out of the room, and many would recognise her as sports agent, Eloise K. LeBeau, the elder sister of one of the trainees.
Helena Noir:
Thank you for visiting, Miss LeBeau. And thank you for keeping us updated, it’s appreciated.
Eloise K. LeBeau:
I more appreciate the time you took from your busy schedule for this. She’s not all too good at opening up to people, so I did not want this to be detrimental to her progress this week. Especially after the positive showing she had prior to the supershow.
The pair shook hands, Helena going back into her office as Eloise paced off through the Academy gym, looking towards the exit. But by the door, wearing her black swan patterned training gear, was none other than the other team leader in the Academy, Lady Magdalena. Her eyes were seemingly watching the elder LeBeau, seemingly studying her as she made her way to the door, something that didn’t escape Eloise.
Eloise K. LeBeau:
Mrs Damasceno, it’s a pleasure to see you again. It has been some time.
Lady folded her arms, her eyes still studying Eloise, though her response to her was nothing but polite.
Lady Magdalena:
Good Morning, Eloise. My... time has flown since the last time we spoke. Sacramento, I believe? Prior to my daughter moving east?
Magdalena locked eyes with LeBeau, knowing the woman reasonably well as she was the agent of her own daughter, the former Cloud Gate Champion, Anastasia Starling. Eloise nodded in response, clearly pleased to see the French former World Champ.
Eloise K. LeBeau:
I believe it was around that time, yes. We need to catch up some time, when time permits it. I apologise that it can’t be today, as I do have a prior engagement arranged within the hour, and I do hate being late.
Lady Magdalena:
No, no. No need to apologise. I presumed your unexpected visit was in regards to your youngest sibling? She has seemed down in the dumps this week.
Eloise K. LeBeau:
Erm… Yes, that would be correct. I just needed to check in on her, and discuss some matters with Ms. Noir. But hopefully she will be back on track soon enough. I’ve been informed she is having her first singles match this week, which will excite her greatly… Though the term ‘singles’ may be something that distresses her.
Eloise responded, the latter part being a little quieter, and she shook her head as she spoke. But Lady’s eyes seemed to be still examining Eloise’s face, leaving the agent looking a little confused, maybe even slightly uncomfortable.
Eloise K. LeBeau:
I… I really do have to go though, I do apologise.
Lady Magdalena:
You have nothing to apologise for, child. Do have a wonderful day.
Lady then took a step away from the door, taking a small bow as Eloise wandered on past her, giving the same bow in return, before exiting the Academy. Lady put a finger on her chin, looking skyward as she seemed in great thought.
Lady Magdalena:
How truly bizarre…
She uttered under her breath, before marching back over the her own team of students, barking out orders in that rich Parisian accent of hers.
Lady Magdalena:
Addison? Evelyn? I want you to go over that drill one more time, and please look at what your feet are doing, not the funny faces your friend is pulling at you.
She shouted out, moving back towards the students, as the camera faded away from the training session.
