2x04 IT CAN BE DONE... AMIGO
The Dorm October 26, 2021 8:58 PM
In one of the dorm areas here in the Academy we find Rainer Nordhagen sitting cross cross on the floor with cards in front of him. He surveys them then smirks as he looks up.
Rainer Nordhagen: Do you have a five?
We pan around to Erika Eldon who is also sitting on the floor. She looks down at her cards and then gasps, shaking her head as she reluctantly hands her two fives over.
Erika Eldon: How are you so good at this game!?
Stunned by his ability as Rainer just shrugs, but we see as Erika adjusts her sitting position slightly, she has no idea she is sitting in front of her mirror. Rainer Nordhagen: It’s just natural ability, I guess...or luck. Maybe both! Looks like I’m about to win...again.
Rainer grins, subtly peeking at Erika’s cards again as she begins to visibly focus hard on them.
Erika Eldon: Do you have...a ten?
Erika says this, focusing as hard as she can on her guess. Rainer laughs.
Rainer Nordhagen: Nope, not even close. Do YOU have a ten?
Letting out a sigh and reluctantly handing another card over to him, not seeming to understand at all that he’s clearly cheating.
Erika Eldon: I give up! You are too good at this, you are good at everything. Does make me confident for when we team up though. I am so excited. We are going to whoop Bey and what do you call him? The pumpkin shaped guy?
He laughs slightly, shrugging his shoulders before putting his cards down.
Rainer Nordhagen: It’s okay, you’re great when you’re in the ring, and that’s all that’s going to matter when we get in there with Bey and Jasper. He’s more like a pumpkin filled with lard - overflowing with lard, actually. The difference between them and us is that we’re a well oiled machine, always on the same page. I definitely can’t say the same for those two idiots.
Erika smiles, listening to every word of Rainer. The way her eyes look at him it’s clear she is quite smitten.
Erika Eldon: Well I will do whatever it takes to get a win, you are the leader! I can be like your sidekick.
Rainer nods, liking the sound of that.
Rainer Nordhagen: Oh for sure, and when I’m at the top, which’ll be sooner rather than later, you can carry my belts for me!
He flashes a handsome grin at Erika, visualising his words as he speaks them.
Erika Eldon: Really? That would be amazing! Know we are supposed to be like Team Strike or whatever, but you feel more like our team leader than the team leader. Let’s go Team Rainer!
Rainer Nordhagen: You know something Erika? You say a lot of very clever things, but that might just be the cleverest of them all!
Nordhagen hops up to his feet, offering Erika his hand.
Rainer Nordhagen: No rest for the wicked, Erika. Let’s go train - we can’t let the debut of Team Rainer end up in a loss to Bey and Lard Boy!
Erika giggles, taking his hand and allowing him to help her to her feet before they head to the gym.
Kitchen Area October 29, 2021 4:25 PM
We find ourselves in the kitchen and dining area here in the Academy. Gabriel Laundry in sweat pants and a t-shirt has strolled in. Opening up the fridge he pulls out a Gatorade quickly taking a big chug of it. But as he closes the fridge door he looks over to see Erika Eldon sitting on one of the countertops looking intently at a Ramen noodle package. Debating talking to her for a moment Gabriel decides to step over to her, she looks startled at first but then smiles.
Erika Eldon: Oh hey Gabriel! Just trying to read the cooking instructions on this thing. They are so confusing! At home, my mom hires people to cook for us. Well, I guess you already knew that.
Struggling with even a basic meal like Ramen she sets it down frustrated.
Gabriel Landry: I do. I didn’t grow up with a legion of cooks at my beck and call. On the bright side, consider this a learning experience.
He flashes a warm smile. Erika lets out a sigh not wanting to have to deal with this.
Erika Eldon: You know maybe I’ll ask Rainer. I bet he is a good cook, he is like good at everything!
Stepping off the counter about to head to find Rainer, who also will be her tag team partner in her next match, she is stopped by Gabriel however.
Gabriel Landry: Look, I hate to beat a dead horse Erika but... please, watch yourself with that guy. He is not the person you think he is.
Erika Eldon: I mean I hate to be mean Gabriel but he did sort of warn me you might be a bit jealous of him. He’s sort of like the big star around here, and I am like his sidekick. But don’t be jealous, there is room for us all to become stars.
Erika says though it does seem more like Rainer’s words than her own. Gabriel lowers his head. He closes his eyes, taking a deep breath. After shaking his head he reopens his eyes. Raising his head up, he looks at Erika again.
Gabriel Landry: I have...
Gabriel sighs.
Gabriel Landry: Do you have any idea how exhausting this is? I accept I am probably talking to myself right now, screw it. Whatever. I am head over heels for your mother. I don’t care that no one else understands our connection, no one needs to. We make each other happy, that’s what matters. Know who else matters to your mom? You Erika. You matter.
Gabriel emphases this by pointing at Erika.
Gabriel Landry: The last thing either of us want is for that douchebag Rainer to take advantage of your kind, sweet, naive nature. But it doesn’t matter how many times I tell you Rainer is not the person you think he is, my warning continues to go in one ear and out the other.
The guy who usually comes across as cool, calmed and collected on most occasions looks like he needs a hug. He shrugs.
Gabriel Landry: There’s nothing I can do to change your mind? Fine. Be Rainer’s sidekick. I knew I shouldn’t have opened my mouth. See you around.
Listening to this there seems like a moment where Erika might have actually heard him out but instead she shakes her head.
Erika Eldon: Whatever, Rainer actually cares about me. He doesn’t just pretend because he’s dating my mom. See you around…
Erika instead initiates the leaving, wanting to be the one that gets to leave in a huff. Heading straight towards the guy that Gabriel is trying to warn her about. Letting out a big sigh realizing that his words did again fall on deaf ears despite his best intentions.
Singles Match
Devin Levandrier VS Gabriel Landry
- All previous encounters between these two, whether it was their short exchanges in the rumble or the tag match from two weeks ago, have been nothing short of amazing. Tonight the two young competitors had the chance to showcase their talent in a one on one match, and decided to start it with a handshake.
- The beginning of the match was fast and furious, the two young men began trading armdrags. Three for each one of them, but on the fourth Devin was able to keep hold of Gabriel's arm and put him in a shoulder lock.
- Landry twisted and turned and rolled until he found a way out of the hold and took Levandrier down with another armdrag. Devin quickly popped up to his feet but a dropkick from Gabriel sent him through the ropes and crashing on the floor outside.
- Landry went for a suicide dive but Devin saw that coming and hit a thunderous uppercut, leaving the opponent hanging on the middle rope. The canadian climbed on the apron and entered the ring, applying a waistlock to attempt a german suplex. But Gabriel grabbed the middle rope with both hands and blocked the attempt.
- Devin insisted but despite his efforts, he could never lift his opponent for the suplex. Landry eventually broke free with an elbow to the jaw and zipped through the ropes and onto the apron. From there he slingshotted himself inside the ring and planted Levandrier on his head with a ddt. Beautiful execution but only worth a two.
- Gabriel's impressive agility and speed was the determining factor in his early dominance. He floored Devin with a bicycle kick and climbed to the top rope for a splash but Devin rolled out of the way and caused him to hit nothing but the canvas.
- Levandrier tried to slow down the pace, relying on holds and suplex to control the match. Holding Gabriel in a clinch position, he delivered a few quick knee strikes and eventually dropped him with a neckbreaker.
- Another near fall for Devin came after he planted Landry on his head with a brainbuster.
- The pace once again picked up, the two of them engaged in a right hands exchange in the middle of the ring. Punches kept flying back and forth in an intense yet sportsmanslike exchange that saw Devin come out on top and go for a lariat. Landry ducked it and connected a quick rear mat slam, followed by a standing moonsault for another count of two.
- The momentum kept switching between them, turning the last part of this match in a crescendo of big moves and near falls where both kids left everything they had in the ring.
- A big springboard enziguri from Gabe kept Devin down for a count of 2 and 9/10, to which Levandrier answered a moment later with a cutter out of nowhere. Landry saved himself by grabbing the bottom rope with his hand. A minute later they were back on their feet, Devin missed the lariat and got pinned by a backslide, kicked out in two and caught Gabriel with a cradle for another two count. They traded a few more roll ups and flash pins attempt before, eventually, standing on one knee in front of one another, both of them exhausted.
- One last exchange led to a superkick from Devin that sent Gabriel flat on his back. Rather than pinning him, Levandrier went to the top rope for a splash, almost slipping as he climbed it. Once he was on top, he was reached in height by Gabriel who went for a spanish fly. But just like his opponent, he slipped and lost balance, causing both of them to fall. Devin landed on the outside, Gabriel hit the apron before joining him on the hard floor. The referee started the double count out, and none of them could answer it before the ten, barely moving even after the bell tolled.

Team Title Match Team Strike © (Rainer Nordhagen & Erika Eldon) VS Team Noir (Bey Addams & Jasper King)
- For the second week in a row, the Team Title was on the line. Rainer defended it with Erika against the odd pairing of Bey Addams and the Gold Star Jasper King. The big question here was if Team Noir could coexist, considering Bey mocked Jasper back when his name was announced and proved in the past that she's not really a team player.
- From the very beginning it was clear that her and Jasper weren't quite on the same page. The Gold Star was ready to start the match after a long debate with his tag partner but when the bell rang, Bey immediately took the tag and the stage.
- If anything, her Team Leader would appreciate the initiative, and the fact that she outwrestled the lest experienced Erika wearing her down with holds and suplexes, immediately putting the match on the right tracks for her team.
- What Helena most likely didn't appreciate was her taunting Jasper by offering the tag only to retreat the hand at the last moment. But that exploder suplex with which she obtained a near fall probably was enough to make up for it. Maybe.
- Erika surprised Bey with a jawbreaker and quickly reached for Rainer in the corner. The German entered the ring and threw a whirlwind of punches at Addams. Bey started fighting back, but she was soon outpowered by Nordhagen who sent her flying on the mat with an uppercut. He hooked the leg for the cover and got the first near fall.
- Bey was in dire need to make a tag, Rainer was hitting hard and relentlessly. And he was more fresh and rested than her, having entered the ring only now. The hardest part was to get the break needed to reach the corner. The opportunity knocked when Rainer took a moment to mock Jasper. Bey wasn't going to miss it and reached him with a few knees to the stomach before grabbing him by the hair and slamming his face against her knee.
- For someone who was taunting Jasper while he was stuck outside the ring, Rainer was oh so quick to run to his corner when the Gold Star entered the ring and make the tag to Erika, constantly checking his nose after Bey's facebreaker.
- Erika tried to kick Jasper's legs, but those didn't seem to be very effective. King placed both hands on her shoulders and just tossed her into the corner, charging toward her with a splash.
- Getting squashed by the King Of Pumpkins immediately put Erika in a bad spot. Rainer kept cheering on her but she didn't seem able to find a way to turn things around, getting tossed around by the Gold Star.
- After catching her with a spinebuster, Jasper moved toward his corner and made the tag to Bey, inviting her to climb over his shoulder for one of the tag team maneuvers he prepared for his match with Gabriel. She obviously refused and gave him a stern look, entering the ring and heading toward Erika.
- Despite the punishment taken, Eldon surprised Bey with a cradle and almost got away with it. Addams kicked out and kicked Erika's head in as she got up to her feet notably faster than Karen's daughter.
- To her defense, Erika proved to be a tough cookie, not giving up to any of Bey's submission and actually connecting a german suplex of her own. She tried to reach Rainer but Bey got to her first and grabbed her foot, putting her in an ankle lock.
- Finally Erika dropped Addams on her head with a ddt and made the tag to Rainer. At the same time Bey tagged Jasper in and the two young men met in the middle of the ring. Nordhagen effectively used his speed to wear down the bigger opponent, moving fast on his feet and forcing King to chase him around, poking him with quick kicks whenever he had the chance.
- Rainer got a few near falls in the next minutes, notably one after a running knee to the head that got him really close to the three. But eventually Jasper caught him and powerbombed him into the canvas. The momentum had shifted and King was now in control, showing the rewards of the work he put in the past couple of weeks with a flawless overhead belly-to-belly suplex.
- When he was about to seal the deal, Bey tagged herself in and finished off Rainer with a running swinging neckbreaker, picking up the win and the titles for her team.
