The scene opens up in a dim lighted room, and in the center of the room there is a round table with a glass of alcohol sitting on it, and a chair with someone sitting in it, and when the camera zooms in? It’s no other than Joey Leclair.
Joey Leclair :
There has been a lot of talk lately about how I am a changed man, and even myself have admitted that fact, but don’t get me wrong? I am still an asshole, but the way i look at things are completely different.
Joey reaches his right hand out, grabs the glass and takes a sip of alcohol before placing it back down.
Joey Leclair :
Before when I stepped inside the ring my intention was purely to inflict as much pain as physically possible to my opponents out of satisfaction, and don’t get me wrong I was really good at doing that, but at the same time? That arrogance created weakness, because at times I would underestimate my opponents which was a fatal mistake.
Joey takes another sip of alcohol, and smirks.
Joey Leclair :
Tonight I face two opponents, and it doesn’t matter what they call themselves, or what they have done in the past, because they are stepping into the ring with a prodigy… a technically genius, and just overall a better competitor, and yea I know i know you are all probably saying that I just said arrogance was my biggest weakness, but you need to understand that htis is not arrogance, but confidence! At the end of the day we all need to have confidence in ourselves, and our abilities, and tonight when i step inside the ring? I am going to treat both opponents as real competition as if it was the biggest match of my career, and that is going to be my drive, my focus going forward, and hell I don’t care if you put me in the ring with Larry the janitor!
Joey lets out a small chuckle
Joey Leclair :
All I can say is that Larry better wear extra padding cause I'll kick his ass all over the ring like he was a real competitor. Basically what I am trying to say is that I am completely motivated, and ready to make a name for myself, and I will give everyone the best Joey Leclair they have ever seen.
Joey takes one last sip of the alcohol, and holds his glass up to the camera.
Joey Leclair :
Cheers
Joey places the glass down, and gets out of his seat, and leaves the room as the scene comes to an end.
Pre-recorded…
“The following paid advertisement is…ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!”
We fade in to show a luxurious living room area and what appears to be a warm, toasty fire in a marble fireplace. Sitting in a chair with her legs crossed staring confidently into the camera is Summer Collins. She has a glass of wine in her hand which she sips slowly.
Summer Collins
Joey Leclair is known for his specialty in hardcore. He still holds the record as the longest reigning Chicago Way Champion in this company’s history. His violence is quite legendary. And then there’s Andrew Raynes, another man whose hatred and violence has been made known to anyone who ever crosses his path. But you don’t have to be the most violent in order to succeed. You don’t even have to be the best wrestler to succeed in this business.
Collins taps her head.
Summer Collins
You just have to be the smartest. Quick thinking, intelligence, and cunning will overcome brutality and violence any day of the week. I am living proof of that. I have taken brutes and psychopaths and brought them to their knees. I have made quite the career out of humbling even the most violent of monsters. Raynes, you can spew all the venom you want about embracing the hate. It’s a song and dance I have heard from you time and time again. But guess what? I am going nowhere. I am not going to let you run me off. There is nothing you can do that anyone else hasn’t already done to me to frighten me away. I have beaten bigger, more violent men than you, all by using my mind.
She sips her wine and then puts the glass down.
Summer Collins
Joey, I hate that you got pulled into this. But here you are, in this match with me and old Embracer of Hate himself. I have nothing against you, Joey, but tonight you are my opponent and I am going to send a message loud and clear to the rest of the roster through you…and that message is that Summer Collins a big time player and should not be overlooked. Now how can I possibly beat Joey Leclair and Andrew Raynes? Well normally advertising my game plan would be a bad idea but in this case I think I’m safe because the outcome is unavoidable. You see, I don’t have to beat them. I’m going to let Andrew and Joey beat each other and then I will step in and pick up the scraps.
Collins chuckles.
Summer Collins
My intelligence will win the day and that victory will be absolutely FABULOUS!
Triple Threat Match
Joey Leclair VS Summer Collins VS Andrew RaynesHuge three-way match to kick off this episode of Millennium. The rivalry between Raynes and Collins had been going for months now, and recently involved Joey Leclair as well, after Summer cost the Prodigy his match against the Embracer Of Hate at When The Sun Goes Down. A lot of history, tension and scores to settle were the ingredients of a potentially explosive match to start the night with a bang and set the bar for the others to follow. And it surely started with the right foot, all three of them very aggressive from the get going, just as it was expected. Raynes clubbed Summer all the way to the corner, where he continued his assault until Joey German suplexed him, only to be the one throwing forearm strikes to the cornered former tag team champion. He only landed four of those before Raynes grabbed him by the shoulder and forced him to turn around. The two exchanged some harsh words, trying to claim dibs on who should beat up Collins who, in the meantime, regrouped and exploded out of the corner slamming Joey’s face into the canvas with a running bulldog. She also ducked Andrew’s right hook, surprising the former GCW champion with a backslide, from which Raynes kicked out in two. They both were quick to get up to their feet, Summer immediately went for a dropkick that sent Raynes through the ropes and crashing out of the ring. She was getting up when Joey kicked her in the ribs, dropping her down in agony. The former Chicago Way champion delivered a few knees to Collins and then dragged her up to her feet and fired her in the corner, charging at full speed toward her. With a pinpoint springboard dropkick Raynes knocked Leclair down and charged at the cornered Summer who raised her boot and kicked him on the face. She climbed up to the second rope and jumped for a crossbody but Andrew caught her in mid air, adjusted her position on his shoulder and planted her on the mat with a running powerslam. He made the cover but Leclair broke it up with a stomp to Andrew’s shoulder. As the Embracer Of Hate stood up to take on Leclair, he was met by a massive Prodigal elbow smash that knocked him down. Joey hooked the leg for a cover but Summer stopped the count before the three. The match was, as expected, very fast paced, almost frantic in some moments. Near falls kept coming in rapid succession, most of them broken up by the odd man out. Summer decided it was time to clear the ring and shoved Joey over the top rope with a single leg dropkick. Now she could finally focus on Raynes, hitting him with her patented Money Clip and looking to put the word end on this contest with the Stock Market Crash. Raynes wasn’t going down so easily and he used his elbow to create some separation and blasted Summer with a bicycle kick. The arrogant Canadian connected the Syndication (somersault cutter) and thought that was enough to walk out of this triple threat with a win but Collins kicked out in time. He stepped back, waiting for her to stand up and then went for the Code Of The Sith, but Summer dodged the running high knee, causing it to connect on Joey who just came back inside the ring instead. Summer was quick to lift Raynes for the Stock Market Crash and make the cover, but Leclair recovered just in time to save the match. All three competitors were exhausted, all of them tried their best moves and saw them failing to get the win. In the chaotic last sequence, Summer kicked Raynes in the nether regions but she was caught by Joey’s Prodigal elbow. The strike caught her on the side of the head and she went down flat on her back. With Andrew down holding onto his crotch, all Joey had to do now was to pin Summer for the three count. WINNER: Joey Leclair BY: Pinfall (Prodigal Elbow), 11:39 |
Luna sees her opponent in the ring and takes a moment to model her new ring gear. Handmade, tailor made for the Star of the Night.
Luna Smith:
So I'd like to just update some of my rankings. After the match we just had, I'm putting Joey Leclair at 6 and Summer at 3. However, they're still not worthy of my ring time. My precious ring time.
Luna Smith:
And I know Faiz, you've been desperate to know what I'd score you. A rookie from Millennium's academy...and you've been quite nice to my sister, for that I award you a generous plus 2 to your ranking of...6.
The crowd groan as they expect Luna to turn but she takes a stroll towards the ring.
Luna Smith:
But I'm actually feeling charitable tonight. You get a very rare, possibly a unique gift. I'm willing, for tonight only, to face a 6. And just for any other sixes or below
Luna says as she confiscates a crowd sign that she feels was being too distracting of her presence ringside.
Luna Smith:
I won't be doing this again. If you're not a seven or higher.
Luna chuckles to herself as she walks up the steps, knowing all eyes are on her.
Luna Smith:
Don't even bother wasting my time. Got it?
She pauses while the crowd don't exactly agree with her though some cheer the upcoming contest.
Singles Match
Luna VS Faizah MarshallApparently the two time Gold Star was at least a “seven” in Luna’s book, whatever that may mean. They tie-up to start, Faizah worked a headlock but Luna reversed it and pushed the Original BAE into the ropes. Oddly enough the Star Of The Night gave her a clean break, though it was but a ploy to get her to lower her guard to kick her hard in the chest. Marshall fell on her knees, coughing and holding her chest. Luna moved swiftly behind her back to apply a rear chinlock with her knee well planted on the young woman’s spine. The Academy graduate wrestled her way out of the hold but she was soon pulled in a clinch position by Luna. From there the former Lockdown champion used various knee strikes to wear down the Original BAE, showing off her Krav Maga influenced style, finishing with a spinning kick for a two count cover. Faizah rolled out of the ring and Luna gave chase to her. TD Batterson stepped in the way between the blonde and his client, making Luna reconsider her options more so since her own bodyguard wasn’t out there tonight, due to his upcoming match against Gareth Prichard Jr. Luna went back inside the ring giving Faizah time to regroup. The rookie, well advised by her enforcer, took almost the entire ten count, getting back at the very last moment. Luna was waiting for her with a series of stomps, but Marshall managed to grab her foot and push the leg back, dropping the Star Of The Night on her face. Finally able to build some momentum, Faizah showed no sympathy for her best friend’s sister and stomped the hell out of her, attempting her first pinning predicament after a springboard leg drop, but Luna kicked out in time. The pace of the match picked up after the seven minutes mark, both competitors showing off their athleticism and striking ability under the watchful eye of TD Batterson. The most frustrating thing about Luna is the fact, and tonight proved it without a doubt, that she IS a talented wrestler, only too lazy to rely on that to advance her career, preferring to rely on cheap tactics to win her bouts. Tonight she showed flashes of that undoubted ability, The Night Skyfall she caught Faizah with when she was about to hit her Best Splash Ever was a thing of beauty that earned her the applause from her detractors as well, but it still wasn’t enough to give her the win. Faizah came really close to the three as well with a perfectly executed exploder suplex, connected as a counter to one of Luna’s kicks. Such a closely contested match could only end in one of two ways. One of them making a mistake or a third party getting involved. It happened to be the latter as Nine van der Hoek decided to take her pound of Luna’s flesh, sliding inside the ring behind Luna’s back and catching her with a leaping reverse STO as she turned around. TD immediately dragged her client out of the ring, preventing her from becoming collateral damage in the Frisian Demon’s fury. The Dutch put the Star Of The Night in an armbar and started bending her fingers in ways they were not supposed to bend, looking to snap them. Luckily for Luna, West came to the rescue, forcing Nine to retreat. van der Hoek left the ring, smiling at the sight of the former Lockdown champion left in agony. WINNER: Luna BY: DQ, 10:20 |
“One, two, Kimmy’s coming for you…”
“Three, four, we got tables galore…”
“Five, six, gonna set fire to those sumbitches…”
“Seven, eight, its already too late…”
“Nine, ten, Kimmy’s gonna burn Clyde Ed Jr. to the fucking ground!”
Kimberly steps into view from from stage left. She is cackling devilishly and is followed by her trusty Dalek. The Dalek is dragging Kimberly’s bag of goodies with it. The Woman Scorned has her MWE Chicago Way Championship title belt wrapped around her waist.
Kimberly Williams
Poor Clyde, poor stupid Clyde, he thinks he was cheated out of the Chicago Way Championship because a genocidal pepperpot assaulted him. But let’s think about that for a moment, kiddo. You got your ass kicked by a Dalek and yet you think you belong in the same ring as me? I could call that pathetic but the sad thing is that it doesn’t end there. See, you have always had someone else fight your battles for you. Whether it was The Bad Boyz, that blonde bitch Karen Eldon, and now Faizah is even fighting your battles for you. She gets on social media and protests the fact that you were placed in a flaming table match against a ‘sociopath’ like me? That’s sooooo sweet of her.
Williams shakes her head.
Kimberly Williams
But it also illustrates just how pathetic you have become. You got your ass whipped by the Dalek, you can’t fight your own damn battles, but you think you can beat me? You think you can take this championship away from me? Let me remind you for a second who I am, you little wimp. I am The Woman Scorned. I am The Queen of the Death Match and I have held this Chicago Way Championship for 192 days. I am currently the second longest reigning Chicago Way Champion in this company’s history. I have already taken this title and redefined the meaning of hardcore, I elevated what it means in terms of violence. This championship is not for the faint of heart, Clyde. If you are not tough enough to survive in my division then you should march your fat ass out of my division. Because I swear to god if you step into the ring against me tonight I will light your ass up and burn you alive.
Dalek
BAR-B-QUE! BAR-B-QUE! BAR-B-QUE!
Kimberly Williams
That’s right, Dalek! Bring your favorite hot sauce, bring a pack of beer, because we are going to have a barbeque tonight and Clyde is on the menu!
Williams throws her head back and laughs nastily.
Kimberly Williams
I’m sorry, is cannibalism still taboo? I wouldn’t know. Maybe we can ask Jeffrey Dahmer or one of the surviving ancestors of the Donner Party? Because we’re gonna recreate that sumbitch tonight! At least we will if you are gutsy enough…or stupid enough…to come to the ring tonight, Clyde. Or you could take Elsa’s advice. Faizah went to bat for you and Elsa brought up a good point. She pretty much said that if you were so worried about the violence and brutality of this match then you could withdraw. You just quit now and save yourself from the violence that I will bring. And really, Clyde, that is your only option. Quit. Withdraw. Give up now. And if you won’t listen to me, or if you won’t listen to Faizah or Elsa, then maybe your mother will listen…
Williams glares with hatred in her eyes at the camera.

KAREN…get ready to bury your worthless pathetic son!

Tag Team Match
A Tribe Called Conquest (Commas Oxford & Chantelle) VS K2O
The tag team champions were already inside the ring, ready to take on the new challengers, but when the Tribe's music hit, nobody came out. The boos instantlyrained down on Olly and Karen, accused by the fans to have taken care of business before the match in their usual fashion. But while they would be the first to admit that doing such a thing would indeed be up their speed, they looked as confused as anyone else about what was transpiring. Nonetheless, when it became clear that their opponents weren't coming out, they asked the referee to ring the bell and count the Tribe out. Why would they turn away an easy win offered on a silver platter? WINNER: K2O BY: Count Out, 0:10 |
The locker room door swings open, and out walks none other than the Murder Train, Dustin Douglas. We see behind him in that very same locker room are the fallen bodies of the Tribe called Conquest, knocked out and laid out but looking quite adorable, like a small baby or a large hairy college freshman who had his first beer. As Dustin walks along, he grabs a hold of Tank Steiner and spins him around. Tank instinctively cocks his fist back but lowers it when he sees that Big Nasty isn’t here for a fight
Dustin Douglas:
Put that thing away. If I was gonna attack you, you would know it. Instead….I bring a gift. I was in a generous mood, and decided to do something for you that you wouldn’t…or couldn’t….do yourself.
Tank Steiner:
Care to speak plainly for once rather than in a roundabout way? You may think yourself clever, but I have to translate you into German and then comprehend it. I don’t have time for your flowery bullshit.
Dustin Douglas:
I did your dirty work for you. I got my hands on the Tribe and took them out before you even needed to worry. This way you can keep them soft dandy hands nice and ready for what I can only assume is your next manicure. Seriously, your nails look incredible and I'm a bit jealous. But I digress. Feel free to thank me anytime.
Tank Steiner:
And I would do that… Why, exactly?
Dustin Douglas:
I would think you would be very thankful for the gift I just gave you. Stop being an ingrate and say “Thank you Dusty for taking care of my business” I swear this generation of people has no sense of gratitude. All im saying….when these jabronis wanna play dumb and attack the people I care about, I get a bit angry and defensive. I do what needs to be done. I show them that no one….
Dustin looks straight and hard into Tank’s eyes
Dustin Douglas:
No one….messes with the Murder Train. Feel free to thank me at your earliest convenience.
Dustin walks off, but not before giving Tank a should bump as he walks by him, Tank shoots the back of Dusty’s head a glare as he turns around, picking up a bag containing an object of some description
Tank Steiner:
Sorry my friend, looks like you have the night off
Chicago Way Championship Match
Flaming Tables Match
Kimberly Williams © VS Clyde Eldon Jr.Flaming Tables Match
The look on the face of the two competitors perfectly represented two sides of the same coin. The rightfully scared Clyde, trying not to think that he’s stepping in the ring with one of the most sadistic wrestlers in MWE and the big smile on Kimberly’s face. The Woman Scorned looked like a kid on Christmas morning, excited to bring her brand of punishment to Clyde’s first son. The match started and Clyde immediately rolled under the bottom rope, fishing for a chair under the ring. After he grabbed it, he found himself face to face with the Dalek. Remembering their previous encounter, Clyde immediately assumed a defensive stance, taking his eyes off Kim by doing so. Being sneaky wasn’t something Williams was known for and she announced her intentions by literally yelling “baseball slide” as she hit the ropes and charged toward Eldon. CEJ turned back to her but it was already too late to avoid the impact. The champion’s feet hit the chair and pushed it on Clyde’s face, knocking him down. Contrary to what you would expect from Kimberly, she didn’t attack Clyde, focusing on gathering all the tables she could find. The realization of whatever project of doom she had in mind was interrupted by Clyde coming back and flattening her with a clothesline from behind. The match went down with the usual dose of violence and insanity the MWE fans almost take for granted when The Wildcard is in the ring. She tried to set Clyde on fire by throwing a fireball at him and claiming she was Sophie O’Brian, but Eldon was able to dodge it with a timely roll to the side. He quickly got up to his feet and speared Kim through the table the Chicago Way champion set up in a corner. The impactful move didn’t give him the win since the table wasn’t on fire but it was a huge boost of confidence for Clyde, as well as doing some serious damage to the champion. Various tables were set up in and out of the ring, and it was all Kim’s doing; every time she had a moment, Williams would pick up a table and set it up in a precise spot of the ring or right on the outside, making it look like she had a plan while it was highly unlikely she did. Clyde was having a favorable moment, delivering a huge spinebuster to the Woman Scorned. This gave him a golden opportunity to pour some flammable liquid on a table and light it up. By the time he picked up Kim and hoisted her on his shoulders to powerbomb her through the flaming table, it was flaming no more, thanks to the Dalek firefighting version killing the fire with its incorporated extinguisher. Clyde was visibly shocked, he even asked the referee if this was allowed. The official shrugged his shoulders, this was likely the first time in his career something like this happened. Kimberly began dropping punches at Clyde’s head, getting free from the powerbomb. Clearly pissed off, CEJ charged at her and got flipped over by a back body drop from the champion that sent him landing on the table in an explosion of fragments and splinters. With blood dripping from his back, Clyde rolled out on the apron, taking a moment to recover. Another table was right behind him, one the Dalek poured some liquid onto. Clyde slowly picked himself up, ready to get back inside the ring. Behind him, the Dalek set the table on fire. In front of him, Kimberly charged at full speed and hit him with the Shadowblade knee, putting the unfortunate man through the flaming table. WINNER: Kimberly Williams (STILL CHICAGO WAY CHAMPION) BY: Flaming Table Breakage, 15:06 |
Singles Match
Gareth Prichard Jr. VS West LongGareth didn’t look intimidated by the size difference against the towering opponent. He didn’t look too excited about stepping in the ring either, he was just… there. As the bell rang West attempted to lock up but Gareth slipped behind him and hit him with a punch to the kidney. Long swung his arm wildly backward for a backfist, but Gareth ducked that too and took the big man down to one knee with a low dropkick, followed by a huge knee strike that took the Warwolf down. Prichard made the cover right away but West powered out in one. The Welsh wrapped his arms around the opponent’s head in a side headlock, looking to wear the big man down. But West pushed himself up to his feet and broke free with shocking ease, shoving Gareth into the ropes and welcoming him with a big boot to the face as he bounced back. For the next couple of minutes Long manhandled the former Briefcase holder, tossing him from one side to the other of the ring with numerous suplexes. Dazed and sore, Gareth pulled himself up to a charging Warwolf, and barely managed to avoid getting speared into the corner with an athletic leapfrog. Long collided against the middle turnbuckle and GPJ quickly moved behind him and put him in a sleeper hold. Though small in size, Gareth was quite the master submissionist, an aspect many ignore or forgot due to his highflier past. All his knowledge though didn’t help him much against West’s brute force, as Luna’s bodyguard stood up and ran back into the corner, squashing Gareth between his back and the turnbuckle until the Welsh man was forced to release the grasp. The match continued, and Gareth’s tactic didn’t change. There were moments when West’s overwhelming power put Prichard in a rough spot, but The Artist Formerly Known As Neal Durden stuck to his plan, even though that meant going through a lot of punishment waiting for that opening to apply one of the many submissions in his arsenal. After all, Gareth was also known for his incredible resilience and high pain threshold, though seeing him folding in two in the corner under Long’s terrible shoulder tackles and getting slammed into the mat with the devastating Boom Drop (pop up one handed standing spinebuster) surely gave his girlfriend Lowri Moss some concerns about his well being. Through those phases of dominance by Long, Gareth was able to sneak in some of his chokes and neck holds, and this long game he was playing seemed to be starting to pay dividends. As time went by, Long looked less brilliant than he was earlier in the match, and not only because of fatigue naturally kicking in. Every time Gareth put him into one of his submissions it was harder for Long to escape them, and even more difficult to recover after. And that was how Gareth eventually got him, using a D’Arce Choke to wear him down. Long eventually powered out of it, though it definitely took a toll on the big man. He was still trying to catch his breath when Gareth quickly caught him in the Tudor Rose (guillotine choke) getting the win via submission. WINNER: Gareth Prichard Jr. BY: Submission (Tudor Rose), 16:26 |
The cameras cut to the backstage area where we find MWE’s roving reporter Paisley Dawn. Standing next to the journalist is none other than “The British Bombshell” Glory Braddock. The British Bombshell is dressed in her ring gear, consisting or a royal purple crop top, purple bell bottom pants, and black boots. Her long blonde hair hangs unrestrained to past the shoulders. A confident gaze is etched across her lovely features.
Paisley Dawn
Ladies and gentlemen we are about to be treated with a big main event. The World Champion Duke Andrews teams with briefcase holder Brookford, and if that duo was unlikely enough, their opponents are even more unlikely…the former rivals Henri Black and his tag team partner, my guest at this time, “The British Bombshell” Glory Braddock.
Glory Braddock
Nice introduction, mate.
Paisley Dawn
Thanks…but, uh, I have to ask the obvious question; will you and Henri Black be able to get along tonight to overcome the challenge of Duke Andrews and Brookford?
Braddock chuckles lightly.
Glory Braddock
That’s a fair question, I suppose. I mean, we can ignore the fact that Duke has his own concerns with Brookford. He may say that he wants to beat you straight up with no chicanary, but lets face it, this business is full of cutthroats and manipulators. Is Brookford a manipulator? No, but he is a businessman at heart. And he has the power to book any match he wants. He has the power to make your life hell for the right price and you know it. And his eyes, and hell, the eyes of everyone on this roster, are on you and what you have…namely that MWE World Championship. And that goes double for me. The last time I held singles gold was back when I was Riot Champion. I lost that piece of gold to Henri Black.
Braddock smiles and waves to the camera.
Glory Braddock
Hi, Henri! I’ll get to you in a moment, buddy! But back to you, Duke. I am still on my quest for my sixteenth career World Championship. I will march through hell to get there and damn it, if that means having to go through you AND Brookford then so be it. So tonight I want to get in your head. I want you to be afraid of what might happen tonight. You have me and Henri to worry about as your opponents but then you have Brookford to worry about; can you trust him? I wouldn’t trust him.
Paisley Dawn
But with all due respect, can you trust your own tag team partner tonight?
Glory Braddock
Ah yes, Henri Black. Henri and I have a unique relationship. We have been partners before and we did pretty well for ourselves. Then we decided beating the hell out of each other was more fun and we did that. We put on the best damn Riot Championship series in this company’s history. The series of matches Henri and I delivered for the Riot Championship elevated that title’s significance. So yeah, we do have history. We have beaten the hell out of each other in the past. But you know what else we have? We have a healthy respect for one another. And you know what? Maybe our opponents DO have a healthy respect for one another? This should be…no, it WILL be a hell of a match and a hell of a main event for the fans tonight in Allentown, Pennsylvania!
The fans pop loudly.
Glory Braddock
So to answer your original question, Paisley…can Henri and I get along? Can we work together? Yeah, we can work together. We will work together and we will win because we both understand the significance of tonight, the significance of being in the ring against and potentially beating the reigning World Champion. It’s something we both want. And I promise you that we will get the job done tonight. And while I’m making promises, I will promise you one other thing, championship gold is coming back to my waist sooner rather than later, and if I can manage to be the one who scores the deciding fall tonight, especially if it is against the champ himself? Yeah, you can bet your bottom dollar who my next target will be. I don’t care about anyone’s reputation or how big, bad, or tough they are; I am not intimidated by anyone. I have beaten the biggest and baddest of opponents that have ever been put in front of me. That won’t change, not tonight, not ever. Sic Semper Tyrannis…
Singles Match
Chris Sanderson VS Dante CutlerDante was in a bad, bad mood after seeing what happened to his fellow Tribe members. He walked straight to the ring and immediately brought the fight to Chris Sanderson, hammering at him with heavy forearms until the former two time MWE World champion was backed in the corner. The referee separated the two and checked on Chris before ringing the bell to officially start the match. Cutler ran toward the opponent and hit a devastating uppercut in the corner, knocking Sanderson down. He climbed the corner and jumped with a double foot stomp to the chest. The Chief wasn’t looking for an early win, he wanted… No he needed to send a message to the roster, especially those who stood up against the Tribe Called Conquest, namely Tank Steiner, Devon Slayton and Dusty Douglas. Especially him. He picked up Christopher and once again fired him in the corner, going for The Guns Of Brixton, his patented high impact running corner dropkick. But Sanderson moved out of the way, and the Guns shot blanks. Wrestling’s Middle Child tried to build some momentum with some of his famous striking combinations but he looked somehow distracted, fearing a retaliation from his step-brother Jordan after what went down Sunday night on Riot. But Dante Cutler was someone you should never take your eyes from, more so on a night like tonight. He exploited Chris’ slightest hesitation to kick him in the stomach and drop him on his head with the Ursa Major brainbuster, blasting him on his face with the Kamigoye called Liquid Swords. The crowd watched in silence as Dante tore apart the two time World Champion, picking up his limp body and shoving him in the corner. The Guns Of Brixton didn’t fail a second time, hitting their target to give Cutler an impressive win in his singles debut on Millennium. WINNER: Dante Cutler BY: Pinfall (The Guns Of Brixton), 5:59 |
Backstage at Millennium after the Sanderson and Cutler match. We find ourselves looking at the MWE Tag Team Champions pretty jovial after getting away with what many might say was an extremely tough challenge for them. Both Karen and Olly have changed out of their ring gear, gear that wasn’t really needed given Dusty’s attack on the Tribe prior to the match. Heading down the hall past the medical tent.
Karen Eldon:
You know I am thinking a nice bottle of Rosé sounds really good right about now.
Smiling as she thinks about her future wine glass, but before she can really enjoy the thought. As they round the corner of the medical tent Clyde Eldon Jr can be seen in the tent, holding his back. Having already been treated for burns, having wood chips picked out and the cuts that came with the tables being treated it is clear he isn’t in the best of moods.
Karen Eldon:
Sweetie! I told you that you’d be fine! You were so close you did so great out there, that championship was almost yours. I am going to get some wine for tonight. We should celebrate that you were so close! Get healed up!
Karen says this not really making Clyde feel any better about his almost win, not even waiting for a response she continues on her way. Olly though waits and with a smirk on his face is about to say something snarky surely but Clyde steps up getting into his face catching him off guard.
Clyde Eldon Jr:
Don’t even say a word...Not in the mood.
Though he grimaces in pain Clyde for the first time in a while, having no interest in being the butt end of the joke.
Olly:
Relax, Clyde. I just wanted to congratulate you. Gutsy performance out there, you almost got her.
Sadistically, he raised his hand to pat the young Eldon on his bruised and scorched back. Which obviously caused Clyde to groan in pain, wiggling away from Olly’s hand.
Olly:
Like you almost won the titles with your mother back then. Seems like to be your thing, right? You only get so close, but never quite there. I wonder if that’s true with chicks too, let me ask Faiz…
Having had enough Clyde not happy with Olly bringing up his friend and known crush, he reaches out shoving Olly. However given how much pain he is in he isn’t able to do a whole lot. Hurting himself more than he is able to really knock Olly back.
Olly seemed surprised at first, he wasn’t expecting a reaction from Clyde. He closed his hands in fists and looked ready to flatten Eldon, but then he let out a chuckle instead.
Olly:
And you ALMOST knocked me down. Oh man, this would be hilarious if it wasn’t so sad.
Shaking his head, Olly turned his back to Clyde and walked away. Glaring at Olly and gritting his teeth, we can tell Clyde is thinking of all the things he’d want to do to harm Olly. But instead forced to wait as the medic pulls him back in to finish his check up.
Tag Team Match
Duke Andrews & BROOKFORD VS Glory Braddock & Henri Black
Peyton Holland: “Four of MWE biggest players inside the ring tonight. We have the MWE World Champion, the current Briefcase holder and two former Riot champions…” Ambra Monroe: “Who wouldn’t mind a crack at the world championship. And a win tonight could surely put their name on that shortlist.” Peyton Holland: “Oh absolutely. And it doesn’t make the champion’s job any easier the fact that he has to team up with the man who could take the title from him at any moment. And that includes tonight.” Ambra Monroe: “Good point. Keep your eyes on this match, folks. Not only does it feature some of the biggest stars around but we might as well see a cash-in and a new World champion.” Perhaps that was why Duke was adamant that BROOKFORD would start the contest. Despite the Problem Solver’s words from last week the World champion didn’t fully trust his teammate and nobody could blame him for that. The possibility that an opportunity to use the Briefcase and walk away with the company’s biggest prize would arise was under everyone’s eyes and only a fool would pass it up, should the stars align the right way. Either way, BROOKFORD and Henri Black started the match doing what they both do best. Hitting the living crap out of the opponent. If Henry relied mostly on his legs to get that reach advantage that allowed him to strike keeping himself out of the opponent’s reach, BROOKFORD’s weapons of choice were his trusted punches, wreaking havoc through Black’s defense. FIve of those heavy blows hit the former Riot champion on his ribs and caused him to fold in two, which gave BROOKFORD the opening to pound the Blackstar and flatten him with a hard strike to the back. Ambra Monroe: “So far it looks like BROOKFORD’s focus is on winning this match. Look, he’s even going for a tag.” The Problem Solver dragged Black toward his corner stretching out his hand for Duke to tag in. The World champion looked hesitant, clearly not trusting his partner who happened to be his greatest rival at this time as well. If you snooze, you lose and the chance to make the tag slipped away from the Duke & Brook team, just like the advantage they had built so far. Henri managed to whip BROOKFORD in the opposite corner and hit him with a jumping knee to the face, allowing Glory to tag in. Black then sat BROOKFORD on the canvas with a snapmare and kicked him in the back while his partner did the same on the chest. Glory quickly made the cover but the big New Yorker kicked out in two. Peyton Holland: “Glory and Henri have been rivals for so long that they know each other just as well as if they were teammates.” Ambra Monroe: “There’s definitely chemistry between the two, they play on each other’s strength while covering for the flaws.” As great as their teamwork was, they eventually slipped. A slight mistake gave BROOKFORD the opening he needed to turn the tides around, opening his way through the opponents fist after fist and making the tag to Duke Andrews. The World champion didn’t seem to care about who was the legal opponent, delivering suplexes to Henri, Glory, another one to Henri and a second one to Glory as well, before taking things to the next level and suplexing both of them at the same time with an impressive feat of strength followed by a just as impressive roar. Luckily for the ref, Henri rolled out of the ring leaving Glory alone with the champion himself. Duke was on fire, hitting two consecutive Red, White & Blue Combos that would have most likely knocked out anyone else, but the Best In The World managed to get her shoulder up. Peyton Holland: “Duke is taking no prisoners tonight, he stepped in the ring with an idea to end things quickly, while BROOKFORD is still recovering and can’t possibly sneak up on him and take the title.” Ambra Monroe: “I’m starting to think Duke’s being a bit too paranoid. BROOKFORD showed no intentions in trying to blindside him, and he even said last week that he won’t put Duke in that situation again.” Peyton Holland: “He did, and personally, I think BROOKFORD is a man of his word. But then again, I understand Andrews being a bit skeptical and not wanting to take any chances.” But not even the World champion in one of his best nights could take on both Henri and Glory by himself, and sooner or later he was going to pay this lack of trust on his partner. The moment eventually came when he was in the ring with Black. The two of them were trading blows and while that is never a good idea against Henri, doing it after holding ground against two opponents for so long was a recipe for disaster. The Australian connected some stiff kicks and elbows in rapid succession, leaving the World champion stunned. He even kneed his face in with the Black Diamond before leaving the stage to his partner. Ambra Monroe: “Now that’s odd. Why didn’t he try to pin Duke? I’m not saying that would have granted him a title shot but it’s a win over the champ nonetheless.” Peyton Holland: “I think he knows, and I think he doesn’t care. He made it clear he’s now out for Gareth’s blood, to avenge his former fellow Revenant Helena Noir, who was injured by Prichard at Glory Horizons.” Glory nodded at Henri on her way inside the ring. She kept wearing Duke down a little longer with some hard kicks, resisted the champion’s attempt to come back by escaping the Andrews Effect and dropping him on his face with her Glorification. Despite having been ignored for the whole match, BROOKFORD didn’t hold grudge and still tried to break up the pin, but he ran right into a Black Sacrament from the former Riot champion who protected his partner allowing her to score the decisive fall and pick up a huge win. WINNER: Glory Braddock & Henri Black BY: Pinfall (The Glorification), 21:27 |
