Riot in Montana
Live from First Interstate Arena in Billings, MT
Sunday, October 10th, 2021
We cut to the arena parking lot, where a standoffish scene was already underway with the reigning Junior Heavyweight Champion Echo attempting to bully her way through security. Screaming and shouting did no good, she was effectively neutralized as the numbers kept her back rather securely.
Security #1:
Back it up, Echo! You know full well you’re not supposed to be here tonight, pack it up before we have to escort you out.
To say that was the wrong move, would be an understatement. He surprisingly fell to the floor, avoiding a quick right hand from the champ, only causing her to be pulled back even more. More incoherent shouting followed, but something changed. Echo stopped struggling when her eyes caught something approaching from the other side of the lot, Tiana with her knee still bandaged up, walking alongside the Chicago Fight Lab founder Yulia and her boytoy Damian. The group stared at the scene before moving onward into the arena.
Yulia stopped at the door, turning back toward her former lover with a shake of the head.
Security used the brief moment to start pushing Echo back toward where she had parked, dragging her belongings behind them.
Echo:
I’ll see you soon, Yulia, believe that!
She put her hands up, then held them out to retrieve her belongings, smirking as Yulia disappeared inside of the arena. Echo herself made way to her car, tossing her bag and her championship belt into the backseat before disappearing herself, speeding out of the lot without a further glance.
Singles Match
Siobhan Mahoney VS Kate SteeleSiobhan elbowed Kate as soon as the opening bell sounded and the fight was on, The former MENTV champion, looking to quickly bounce back after the two consecutive losses between When The Sun Goes Down and the last Riot, attacked Steele in the corner and raked her face against the top rope. Kate was left in pain after the move, seemingly having bruised the area around her eyes. Siobhan capitalized with the Morrigan’s Curse (swinging neckbreaker) and made the cover for a two count. The northern Irish persisted and went for a kick but Kate caught her boot and kicked her in the leg, following with a knee to the ribs and a flurry of stomps, Steele threw the opponent into the corner, but Siobhan kicked her back when she charges and hoisted herself up to the tip rope, diving off with a crossbody, pinning Kate to the floor for another count of two. The guitarist of the Devilition rock band got back to her feet and was greeted with a kick by the Human Disaster. Kate started fighting back with elbows but Mahoney kicked her in the chest and planted her on her face with the Blarney Stoned (sitout facebuster), scoring yet another near fall. Kate’s rough night finally seemed to turn around when Siobhan charged her in the corner and she was able to move out of the way, sliding out to the apron from where she pulled Mahoney’s neck on the top rope before snapping her head over it. Steele jumped back inside the ring straight into a pin with a beautiful sunset flip, but the northern Irish kicked out in time. Kate delivered a running boot to Siobhan and nailed a quick brainbuster, but once again Mahoney raised her shoulder in time. Looking for an electric chair driver or something like that, Kate put Siobhan on her shoulders but the Future Queen Of Wrestling dropped out of it, connecting a snap german suplex. Kate rolled into the corner and used the ropes to get up. Once again Siobhan charged in, this time connecting her running boot. A minute later Mahoney missed what could’ve been the killing blow as the opponent dodged the Eire Raid. Kate flattened the Londonderry born with the spinning heel kick. Rocked by the hard kick to the head, Siobhan was struggling to get up. Kate watched her from the top turnbuckle, waiting for the perfect moment to jump and connected the Silence Is Golden! She quickly made the cover after the top rope blockbuster but Siobhan incredibly kicked out. Rather than dwelling on it and let frustration kick in, Kate picked up the opponent and set her up for the Punk Driver. Mahoney was able to slip out of that as well, jumping to drive her knee under Kate’s chin and leaving her stunned and helpless against the Shillelagh (spin kick) for the decisive count of three. WINNER: Siobhan Mahoney BY: Pinfall (Shillelagh), 10:08 |
We open backstage near the ready area. There we find three of the four members of The Glorious Golden Era. “The British Bombshell” Glory Braddock is standing front and center dressed in a black skirt suit, matching heels, and a black hat. To her right is Sophie O’Brian and to Glory’s left is Neil Newman, who will compete against Warblade 42 later on tonight.
Glory Braddock
I am standing here this evening with the duo who should be the MWE World Tag Team Champions. And were it not for what amounts to nothing more than theft and a slap to the face of professional wrestling itself, they would be the MWE World Tag Team Champions. This is Neil Newman and Sophie O’Brian. Now we are not in the business of coulda been, shoulda been, woulda been…we do not make excuses…but you can believe that we will make things right and it all starts tonight against Warblade 42.
Sophie O’Brian
Niccolò Machiavelli says, the ends justify the means. I agree with that and I have always based my strategy and approach to every match upon that one simple principle. It is for that one reason and one reason alone that K20 has, in fact, earned just a little bit of my respect.
Sophie smirks devilishly.
Sophie O’Brian
Unfortunately having MY respect is something you do not want. When I fight someone who I respect, even if that respect is very slim, I break out the worst of the worst and most vile within my dark soul. K20 has brought that out in me. Next time we meet they will regret what they have done. And as far as Warblade 42 is concerned, they merely stand in our way of regaining what should be ours. You will fall tonight and there is nothing you can do about it.
Neil nods.
Neil Newman:
I stand by everything I tweeted after me and Sophie were robbed of the chance to become MWE Tag Team Champions. K20 are the worst tag team champions of any era of professional wrestling. Funny this is, I called it. Remember my words K2O, didn’t I say without the lifeline that Echo gave you against Team Trille you couldn’t beat us? I’m not nostradamus or anything, the proof is there. What offends me the most about being screwed outta what belongs to us is the God complex you have Karen. Nothing new, I know, the audacity of you all people claiming me and Sophie didn’t deserve our opportunity? Yeah. Rubs me the wrong way. Especially when you and your young boy aren’t worthy enough of holding those belts in the first place.
Neil scowls.
Neil Newman:
But in any event I need to keep my focus on tonight. Warblade 42. Me and Sophie are on a mission. We intend to remind the world why we are the best tag team in this company. As much as I respect you two. Unlike certain teams you two do respect and represent this sport in an honorable manner. As cliche as it sounds, losing to you two isn’t an option. We want to leave no doubt that we are the rightful next in line for the tag titles. No dual #1 contenders like there were after Glory Horizons. To borrow a line from Highlander, there can be only one. Us. We’re not sharing the destruction of K20 with anyone.
Glory Braddock
Tonight our march back to the top officially begins. Sophie and Neil are your next tag team champions. And I will soon have gold back around my waist as well. Soon we will put the GOLD back in the Glorious Golden Era when all of us are covered in gold. Sic Semper Tyrannis.
Tag Team Match
Glorious Golden Era VS Warblade 42
The Glorious Golden Era felt entitled to a rematch against K2O, and rightfully so considering the cowardly way the champions acted in order to retain their titles at When The Sun Goes Down. Warblade 42 has some unfinished business with K2O as well, and would love another crack at the dastardly duo. A win tonight could definitely put their names in the title contention but Sophie and Neil won’t just lay down for them. The match started with Newman and Yua in the ring. The Japanese used her speed to stay out of the former Tag Team Champion’s reach and hit him with rapid kicks, aming mostly at the legs. A couple of minutes of this and Neil really started feeling those kicks, favoring his right leg. As he reached down to massage it, Niko jumped and connected an enziguri to the side of the head, flooring the opponent. Tag made to Valkyrie who entered the ring and stopped Neil from crawling to his corner with an elbow drop to the spine. She dragged him up to his feet and attempted a german suplex but Newman broke free with an elbow to the face, trying to reach Sophie who looked eager to get in the ring. But Valkyrie blocked him once again, this time grabbing his arm and pulling him into a ripcord lariat. Newman ducked it and took the Great Dane Bitch down with a neckbreaker. This time nothing and nobody was going to stop him from making the tag to O’Brien. The Northern Irish entered the ring like a house on fire… And that has nothing to do with her thing about throwing fireballs at the opponents… Anyway, Sophie took the fight to Valkyrie, knocking the viking down with an impressive striking combination. Then she taunted Niko to get in, and when the Blade Maiden of Tokyo entered the ring she suffered the same fate as her blonde partner. Valkyrie was up to her feet and ready to fight, but O’Brien dropped her down with her Death Of Wisdom followed by a cover. Thankfully for Warblade 42 Niko was right there to break it up. This impressive display of dominance by Sophie lasted a little longer, but eventually that fire went out under the clubbing blows of the Great Dane Bitch. Warblade went back to do what they do best, quick tags in and out and tag team moves like the Suplex Switch. Things were no longer looking good for O’Brien who needed the tag now more than ever. She got her opening with a chin breaker and got Newman back in the ring to take on Yua. The man, well rested after the time spent on the apron, ragdolled the opponent around for a good couple of minutes, taking back control of the match for his team. Niko was in big trouble, finding herself in the wrong side of the ring, too far away from Vee to even hope to reach her partner. And Newman was now looking to end this match with the End Game Classic, lifting the japanese in a vertical suplex position. Yua shifted her bodyweight and was able to land on her feet, surprising Neil with a Roll-Up. O’Brien tried to save him but she was cut off by Valkyrie’s devastating spear. The referee made the count, and Neil kicked out just a moment too late. WINNER: Warblade 42 BY: Pinfall (Roll-Up), 12:06 |
As the camera cut to backstage, it picked up to the #RiotInMontana logo in bright orange letters upon a mat of black, the TV screen flickering as the famous logo was broadcast upon the screen. As the logo played out, there was some soft humming, before one extremely long leg came into view, the alluring fishnet tights being the only thing covering them.
Leia LeBeau:
They always say that The Show must go on!
Striding into view was none other than “The Show” Leia LeBeau, attired in her Vegas Showgirl style gear, complete with fishnet tights and dazzling dark boots, the theme of the dress matching the color scheme of Riot itself, black and bright orange.
Leia LeBeau:
Have you missed me? It’s a long, cool summer, but for wrestling fans across the world, it must have felt a little chilly without their favourite Showgirl on display.
The Show did a sultry little turn, shaking her hips seductively as she did so, displaying a message on the back of her gear reading “Donnie’s Girl”. Her smirk curled up, as she blew a kiss towards the camera, eating it up as only she could.
Leia LeBeau:
Sure, I’ve been turning it up to eleven in MWE’s summer blockbusters, and the wrestling world was set alight when The Show faced off against the great Emery Layton, and the ferocious Huntress Ruby Tyler-Hardaway, but it wasn’t quite home, was it?
She then held two hands to her heart, taking a sentimental moment to gush about recent happenings and international appearances that she had been lucky to be apart of, especially the highly praised charity show, For The People, which she had just taken part in.
Leia LeBeau:
I want to take a moment here on Riot to thank Emery and Ruby for our show stopping, jaw stopping, mind blowing match up at the recent For The People extravaganza. I have never been afforded the opportunity to dance with two of the most premier names known outside of Millennium, and from the bottom of my heart, I wanted to both thank them, and remind them that they will dance with the Showgirl once again. But now I am back where I belong, in my home, the company that has become my bright light dream. And with the past behind me, with the bish that ruined the greatest Junior Heavyweight Championship of all time laying in the dirt, surrounded by steel. Now, The Show can shine again, brighter than ever before.
Leia gave one of her trademark little jigs, shuffling her hips as she winked to the camera, twirling her cane as she adjusted her top hat. She seemed clearly in the mood to entertain, as well as thoroughly prepared for her return matchup tonight on Riot against the rookie Millie Smith.
Leia LeBeau:
Welcome to the season premiere of the Greatest Show Woman. So clear your schedule for the evening, grab your popcorn, get yourself comfortable, and get yourself ready for the purest, most sought after entertainment in the world. Turn off your phones. The Show is about to start!
Leia gave another enticing wink towards the camera, before doing a spin, vanishing from view, as time grew ever closer to her match.
Backstage at Riot, we have Millie Smith wearing a light cobalt blue pair of wrestling tights, black boots, a full-length sleeveless top. She has matching black and blue elbow pads on with some wrist tape just now been applied to her hands to protect her. Millie being Millie isn't exactly the keenest person to talk on-camera.
Instead, Millie has a few blank signs that fans would decorate to hold up in the arena. She holds them up to cover up much of herself and leaves the audience enough time to read what's on them.
Card 1:
Leia. She took the Junior Heavyweight title from Luna a long time ago. Before Millie.
Card 2:
She held it for a while too. Now she's returning to Riot.
Millie had also drawn her opponent based on the picture she posted, however, had made her look like she was cosplaying as Zatanna from DC with magical flourishes around her.
Card 3:
Last Riot I was Main Event Millie. A huge title match for me - but didn't win it.
Card 4:
But.....
Card 5:
What if I faced the champion again?
Millie turns that card around as there's text she'd written that couldn't be read in that position.
Card 5:
If I defeat Leia...rebuild...refocus...rematch...
And Millie then lets that card drop to just show the final card with Millie drawing herself in the Powerpuff girl style standing in the ring after the match, with a Powerpuff girl style drawing of champion Alex Andrews with a big exclamation mark next to her indicating surprise/shock. Millie leaves that card on the stand so the camera can stick on it while Millie exits to the right.
Singles Match
Leia LeBeau VS Millie SmithThe match started with The Show wishing good luck to the younger opponent, even offering a handshake to kick off the match with a rare show of sportsmanship. The always trusting Millie accepted the handshake without second guessing Leia’s intention and for once her trust was well founded, to the relief of the fans who applauded the respectful gesture. Then the bell sounded and time for pleasantries was over. The two women locked up, jockeying for position in an attempt to get the early advantage. The technical display ended with an armdrag and dropkick by Leia, but Millie popped right back to her feet and knocked her over with a hard shoulder block. Smith herself looked surprised that she knocked the opponent down, but the initial shock only lasted a second as she quickly stepped over the former Junior Heavyweight champion to hit the ropes. As she bounced back, she ducked under LeBeau’s leapfrog and continued her run, coming back right into a leg lariat from the Showgirl who quickly picked Millie up and whipped her in the corner. The early Jet City Jive attempt missed the target as Millie stepped out of the way and quickly rolled her up with a schoolboy pin, obtaining a two count. Millie’s speed was creating some troubles for the Jet City Woman, barely able to kick out from the springboard reverse hurricanrana. Millie’s performance tonight was confirming the good things she showed one week ago in her match against Alex Andrews. The youngest member of the Smith family proved to be a great single wrestler as well on top of being part of one of the most exciting teams in MWE with her currently injured partner Trinity Thompson. She held her own against a former champion, and one of the brightest talents on the orange brand, even getting close to the win with a top rope spanish fly. But Leia was not to be outshined, Riot was the Show’s show after all. Kick after kick LeBeau turned the tides of this contest, forcing Millie into the corner where she could easily keep wearing her down with a flurry of knee strikes. With an irish whip she sent Smith into the opposite corner and hit her with a running back elbow. Once Leia started gaining momentum it was hard to stop her. A diving meteora, the Show Kicks and a top rope Seattle Slutdrop were only some of the big moves the former Junior Heavyweight champion connected in the final moments of the match, steering the course in her favor. Millie was on the ropes, not able to counter the opponent’s strikes anymore. And eventually she had to succumb to Leia’s Sin City Sleepover (figure four necklock), tapping out in the middle of the ring. Sidenote: after the match was over Leia helped her back to her feet and gave some words of comfort and advice to the young opponent. WINNER: Leia LeBeau BY: Submission (Sin City Sleepover), 11:06 |
Tiana Petrova-Hammond was seen exiting the trainers room with Damian, clarifying her injury status to see when the MWE medical team would clear her for in-ring action. She seems rather dejected, but Damian put an arm around her shoulders in solidarity.
Damian Carter:
You’re gonna be fine, Ti. Just a little more rest and relaxation and you’ll be back to kicking people in the head again. Just maybe start going a little easier on me, I can’t keep up.
They both shared a smile, though it wouldn’t last.
Tiana:
I know, it’s just...Echo, I’m not walking away from her, no matter what you or Yulia say. I can’t, not after what she did to me, or Trin...
Damian:
We know, and we might not like it but we’re going to prepare you as best we can. Just have to take it one step at a time, okay?
She nodded and the pair set off down the hall, only for Damian to be met with a stiff kick as he rounded the corner. The culprit, of course, Echo stared down Tiana, but the Russian-American was quick to go on the offensive, even if she was down a leg. Quick elbows floored the Aussie war machine, but the offensive ended quickly as Echo went for the weakened leg. One kick later and Tiana was on the ground, clutching at her knee, only Echo wasn’t done. She kept stomping, like a woman possessed. By the time security had caught up, Tiana was in tears, near begging for Echo to stop.
Damian, finally recovered from the cheap shot, jumped to his feet and rushed at Echo, pushing her back and security jumped in, restraining her long enough for Yulia to arrive on the scene. Echo could only smile as Damian stopped aiding the security to kneel down to check on Tiana, while Yulia’s eyes stayed locked on the Champion.
Echo:
STEP UP!
The former Riot general manager clenched her fists. Could this be it? Did Echo cross the line for the last time and finally pushed Yulia to do something? With the exception of that single punch that floored the Aussie at When The Sun Goes Down, the founder of Chicago Fight Lab had always held back and tried a diplomatic approach rather than a physical confrontation against her former pupil, but seeing how she cruelly attacked her new protegé was the last straw.
Her face was like a mask of rage, a side of her personality she had never shown before. One step toward Echo was all she managed to take before Damian grabbed her hand. She turned to see him shaking his head, almost pleading her to back down and don’t let Echo push her button, giving her the fight she had been seeking for months. His silent request and the sight of Tiana holding her leg in tears made the Russian retrace her steps and reconsider her options. Her hands, balled up in fists, finally relaxed and she kneeled down next to Damian, trying to bring comfort to the former Gold Star of the Academy.
Echo’s signature smirk remained firmly planted on her face.
Echo:
That’s right, keep doing things the right way, Yules! I’m sure one day, when Tiana hates you just as much as I do, you’ll start to understand.
She watched the scene, the Fight Lab crew huddled together on the floor, tears streaming down Tiana’s face as the medics arrived. Echo herself was dragged down the hall, though she didn’t put up much of a fight, this time around.
Singles Match
Devon Slayton VS Jordan Parker-KaneA double debut tonight, with Devon Slayton and Jordan Parker-Kane squaring up in this fourth match of the night. For Jordan this wasn’t exactly the first time in a MWE ring, having taken on Alan Envy over a year ago. But while back then he was a guest, tonight he stepped inside the ring as a member of the united roster. Devon, instead, appeared last week to rescue his old friend Tank Steiner from the attack of the Tribe Called Conquest, painting a big target on his back. Dante Cutler, in fact, made it clear that Slayton’s action made him an enemy of the Tribe. Slayton didn’t seem too worried about Cutler and his crew, and the reason became immediately clear as Tank Steiner walked out of the curtain and made his way to ringside, standing next to an intimidated sir Figgles. With the towering Austrian watching his back from possible retaliation from the Tribe, Devon could focus on his opponent who, to be honest, didn’t seem to be in the greatest shape of his life. The consequences of the brutal “All In The Family” deathmatch he took part in last week’s Valiant supershow when he beat his step brother Chris Sanderson were still affecting the former MMA champion. Devon easily took control in the first part of the contest, opting for an aggressive style that forced Jordan in a corner. Irish whip to send him on the opposite side of the ring and then Devon charged in with a corner clothesline. Jordan’s right knee, the one he wrapped in barbed wire to get the best of his brother one week ago, was still pretty banged up, an oh so inviting target for Slayton. Parker-Kane turned this weakness into an advantage, basically offering the leg as a target to bait Devon into going for it, only to rock him with a left knee to the herd. A terrific impact that caused the Minnesota born to stumble back, stunned. JPK followed up with more knee strikes from a clinch position, all delivered with that left leg that may not be as lethal as the right one but was the only safe option he had tonight. And it still did a ton of damage to Slayton. Both men showed an impressive striking ability tonight, leaving it all out in that ring. Jordan began to show the first signs of fatigue and tried to slow down the pace, shifting to a more submission-based style of wrestling. Slayton managed to get out of Jordan’s Neck Twister and began building back his momentum, obtaining a long count of two with the Cromwell Invocation (vertical suplex cutter). Parker-Kane was not one to give up easily though, and kicked out from Slayton’s Dead Zone too, With the former UWC World champion on a roll now, Jordan began to play defensive, dodging and blocking the opponent’s strikes, waiting for the chance to lock him in his patented standing guillotine. He eventually did, but possibly due to his precarious physical conditions, his grasp around the neck wasn’t as tight as it used to be and Devon managed to escape. Slayton was on his knees to catch his breath when Jordan hit him with the Bomaye! Instinctively JPK used the right knee for his finishing maneuver, the impact against Devon’s skull hurting himself in the process and wasting those few seconds before making the cover that allowed Devon to kick out. Jordan picked himself up and that was when he saw his half-brother in the crowd! Jordan’s words for him weren’t exactly nice, but the most important thing about this was that Sanderson distracted him long enough for Devon to catch JPK in a standing cobra clutch. Jordan was quickly fading out, but before that could happen, he was pulled into a ripcord elbow by Slayton, who obtained his first win in MWE with the Devil’s Trigger. WINNER: Devon Slayton BY: Pinfall (Devil’s Trigger), 12:43 |
Jordan wasn't happy with his half brother showing up and costing him the match. But by the time he got up to confront him, Chris was already gone.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page is sitting in a chair in the living room of her Sagaponack, New York beach home in The Hamptons.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
As I sit here in my beautiful home I am so glad that I don’t have to be in that hick town of Billings with the rest of the Millenium Wrestling roster. More specifically someone like that psycho James Edwards. But we know that Clyde will destroy James. Not only because Clyde is just plain tougher than that fake tough but because I paid Clyde a lot of money to do my bidding for me and take out James. Rest assured Clyde that my money will never run dry so you prove your worth and I’ll keep you on payroll to hurt as many people as you’d like.
Tiffany smiles
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
As Clyde enjoys tearing James limb from limb I am going to refocus on why I came here to MWE. I came here to do what I did back in May and win a championship. I miss having gold in my possession. I mean I can’t let my buddy Duke have all the fun. Let it be known I have my eyes on Echo and her pretty Junior Heavyweight title belt. I may not get a shot at it today, tomorrow, or next week but when I do finally get my chance at that championship I will surely capitalize.
Tiffany looks directly at the camera.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
People around here have a lot of preconceived notions of who and what I am. In general that kind of thing doesn’t affect me but this is where I take my stand and it is time for people around here to put some respect on my name. With Clyde as my hired gun to destroy each and everyone of you that doesn’t comply with what we want...well that is just your mistake to make.
Tiffany sits back in her chair and blows a kiss at the camera.
Fresh from his chaotic match, Devon Slayton walks backstage, stretching out some nagging pains. As he turns a corner, he stops, glaring past the camera, which turns to find Dante Cutler standing in his path. “The Rhythm” stares long and intently from behind his rounded shades, not saying so much as a word. It seems like the staredown would go on forever, until Dante breaks out a twisted, wide-eyed and gold-filled grin.
WHAM!
Slayton is flattened from a chairshot to the back, followed by another and another as Chantelle rains them down, joined in soon by boots from Commas Oxford. The Tribe Called Conquest, clearly seeking revenge for Slayton’s saving of Tank Steiner and Dusty Douglas, continue the assault, Dante joining in with a knee to the temple just as Slayton breaks away from the attack! King ‘Te follows it with another, and another, but Slayton won’t go down for good, showing amazing resolve. ‘Te nods to Chantelle and Oxford, and the trio take a few steps back, before charging and each connecting with a running boot to Slayton’s head at the same time! Finally the new addition to Millennium slumps over, but not for long as he’s ripped up by Commas Oxford and turned to be paraded in front of the camera while Dante grabs said camera, and turns it to his manic, laughing face.
Dante Cutler:
I said on-sight! ON GOD! You wanna bring in some boy that called himself a black saviour?! Naw, naw, there’s only one and mans right here! The word is Conquest! Test the definition, rude boy! Chantelle, drop this wasteman.
One last chair shot across the head drops Slayton as Dante just stares into the camera, soon joined by Chantelle and Commas Oxford, the Tribe in full-force before the feed cuts out
MENTV Championship Match
Alex Andrews © VS Morag BeanSecond title defense for the MENTV champion Alex Andrews who, that’s no secret, has her eyes set on one goal only. The Riot championship held by Pierce Manning. Defeating Morag Bean tonight would be another step in that direction, with three more wins separating her from the opportunity to challenge The Man himself. At least on paper this should’ve been a walk in the park for the MENTV champion, but Morag was out to prove something, and gave the champ a run for her money. Bean immediately rolled up Alex for two then bit her arm before kicking her in the shin. Morag flipped the champion over with a snapmare and clubbed on her chest, with stiff kicks, making another quick cover for a second near fall. Morag’s irish whip was reversed by Andrews, who slammed the Cannibal Queen into the canvas with a powerslam. The champion seemed to have already shrugged off the initial struggle, steering the momentum back on her side. She hit Morag with a series of knife edge chops, no less than ten pushing the Scot back against the ropes. From there she sent her for a run with an irish whip and caught her with a picture perfect dropkick off the rebound. Without giving the opponent time to recover, Andrews attempted another cover with her Mouse Trap, a modified version of La Magistral pin that almost gave her the win. Meera Makara, Morag’s gargantuan bodyguard, pulled her client out of the ring to give her a chance to regroup. When she came back inside the ring, Morag charged the champion head on, and once again that intensity allowed her to get through Alex’ defense. In her furious attacks Morag obtained another near fall with the move she called Shetland Boneless, a dropkick to the leg followed by a shining wizard. That and a lot of biting allowed the Cannibal Queen to control this phase of the match, to the point where even Figgles started believing she could dethrone the champion. But Morag’s attempt to finish this with the Iron Fang was blocked by Andrews who simply pushed her away. Bean turned around and came back charging, running into a sidewalk slam from the MENTV champion. Alex clubbed Morag’s chest and stomped her before throwing the Scotswoman into the corner and hitting a running elbow. She charged her a second time but Bean ducked out of the way, wasting no time to drop Alex on her head with an inverted DDT. In the blink of an eye Morag was on the top rope, ready to take flight with her A75. She jumped, but the top rope senton found nobody home, and Morag crashed hard on her back. She quickly got up to her feet, holding her back in pain and the worst had yet to come. Alex jumped with both knees on her back and dropped her down with the Broken Wings backstabber, Meera Makara climbed on the apron trying to provide a distraction to help her friend, but Andrews wasted no time to knock the giant indian down with a dropkick. Quickly up on her feet, the MENTV champion turned her focus on the opponent who was just now starting to stand up and finished her with the Brain Death (step up axe kick). With defense number two in the books, only three wins were now separating Alex from her match against Pierce Manning, who will be in action next in the main event of the night. WINNER: Alex Andrews (STILL MENTV CHAMPION) BY: Pinfall (Brain Death), 12:36 |
The scene opens backstage. Pierce Manning can be seen in his wrestling trunks, the Riot Championship fastened around his waist. The crowd boos open seeing him on the tron. He ignores their disapproval.
Pierce Manning:
Looks like Sir Figgles is going to get his wish... Billy Danielson in the main event.
Pierce rolls his eyes.
Pierce Manning:
On one hand I get it. This Billy guy has been a World Champion several times over in other companies. Fast rising star, blah blah blah. Grace foamed from the mouth when she found out, wow, Billy is available, I need to hop on that gravy train. As a businessman myself, you snatch assets up that will help your company. With a name like Billy Danielson on the roster, maybe he will provide some value.
Here’s the thing Grace, I hope you’re watching from whatever mansion you’re living in. What’s going to happen when I take your newest toy and depreciate his value?
Pierce pauses a second to let the question settle in.
Pierce Manning:
Billy is the one with all the hype. He is the one with a track record that measures up to any of the greats this business has to offer. He is the one who leapfrogged a lot of wrestlers on this roster to receive a main event opportunity to dance with TEH FACE OF RIOT. Sir Figgles can grease the palms until the cows come home. After I put down the flavor of the month, who’s Sir Figgles hero is going to be? Who is the next big name prospect that is going to be lined up at my feet to humble themselves to The Man Up In This Bitch.
The crowd is put off by the ego of Pierce Manning as he points to the championship around his waist.
Pierce Manning:
I’ll be damned if I am going to let the new kid on the block become a contender at my expense. It doesn’t matter how successful Billy Boy has been outside these MWE walls, since 2019 I have made statement, after statement, after statement. Last Invitcus Champion. First MENTV Champion. First to defend the championship five times successfully, called my shot, became Riot Champion. I got back my Riot Champion without controversy. Domination has been a consistent trademark of the Pierce Manning brand. Hate it or love it, you are looking at THE MAN on this freaking brand. I am not going to let Billy derail that and I especially am not going to allow Alex to stake a claim at being a representative of MY show. The brand split may be over, RIOT will be, and always will be, then, now and forever the brand that is synonymous with Pierce Fn Manning.
Piece smirks as the boos raise to a crescendo.
Pierce Manning:
Who’s the man? I am.

Singles Match
Billy Danielson VS Pierce ManningAmy Maynard: “Big main event, Figgles! These are two of your favorites, who are you picking to win this?” Sir Figgles: “Welcome to another episode of Sunday Night’s Stupid Questions with Amy Maynard. It’s obvious that I’m rooting for my man, the GOAT Billy Danielson.” Amy Maynard: “Weren’t you team Manning until the other day?” Sir Figgles: “Only because he was against Henri Black. So glad he was drafted to Millennium, let Peyton and Ambra call his boring ass matches!” Amy Maynard: “..You know we only have one roster now, right? Talents can be booked on either show so chances are you’ll have to call Henri’s matches again in the future.” Sir Figgles: “Lord give me strength.” Inside the ring, the two men were staring down at each other and talking smack. A lot of testosterone in this match, both competitors puffed out their chests and flexed before eventually locking up with the most classic collar and elbow tie-up. Basically evenly matched in strength, the two quickly reached a stalemate, broken up by Manning’s knee to Billy’s stomach. The Riot champion followed with a european uppercut that sent Danielson back a few steps. The Chicago born checked his jaw and cracked a smirk toward the opponent before taking his head off with a devastating lariat. Amy Maynard: “Well, if anybody was expecting a tactical match between these two, I guess this answers their questions. “ Sir Figgles:” “Nobody can be that stupid. Nobody.” After that first exchange, the two men locked up once again and grappled for control inside the clinch. This time Pierce used his slightly shorter stature to his advantage and got underneath Danielson’s chin, pushing him back into his own corner. Stuck in the corner, Billy was quickly met with a heavy knee to his sternum that caused him to hunker over. The Riot champion quickly followed up with a throat punch, knocking the GOAT back into the corner. Manning then went straight for Billy’s neck, pressing his forearm against his throat squeezing the air out of him.. The referee tried to break it up, and eventually Pierce obliged, releasing his grip. Manning pulls Danielson out from the corner and rocked him with another European uppercut. While the opponent was still reeling from the blow, The Man Irish whipped him across the ring. On the return the champ went for a clothesline, but Billy narrowly ducked it and bounced off the ropes again, this time catching his opponent off guard and flattening him with a Lou Thesz Press! Billy, now mounted on top, started raining down a flurry of lefts and rights to the champion’s face. Sir Figgles: “Here we go! Come on Billy, beat him up!” The challenger didn’t relent, forcing Manning to try and escape from the bottom. As he scrambled to get free, Billy caught him in a side headlock and delivered some heavy punches with the right hand before taking him back to the mat with a headlock takedown. Danielson was quickly back to his feet and blasted the opponent with his Chicago Blackout, the first of many V-Trigger knees of the match. Billy didn’t attempt a cover, instead he just stared at his opponent on the ground. Pierce slowly started to make his way up to his feet, but just as he got to all fours, Danielson smacked him on the side of the head with a vicious second Chicago Blackout. Manning was now flat on his back counting the headlights and Billy finally made the cover, only obtaining a count of two. Amy Maynard: “I think this answers the question many fans asked. What does management see in Billy Danielson? Why is he main eventing a show on his second match and why is he challenging the champ already?” Sir Figgles: “Really? I swear we have some of the dumbest fans… The question to that answer is simple, just look at the guy’s career. Actually, just look at him! He’s perfection incarnated he’s…” Amy Maynard: “Ok Stan, I think we got the picture..” Billy grabbed his opponent, lifted him up to his feet, and began firing off several stinging knife edge chops. Manning’s chest became flush red with numerous handprints, and the champion found himself with his back against the ropes. That was when he started fighting back with a couple stiff jabs that stunned Billy and finished him off with a discus lariat. Danielson ducked under it and èicked the chamèion up on his shoulders in a fireman’s carry position but the member of The Triumvirate slipped away and dropped him on his knee with a backbreaker. It was the champion’s turn to make the cover, but Billy kicked out in two. Which seemed to annoy the champion, as he unleashed his frustration with a series of stomps to the chest and arms of Danielson. Billy started to get up, holding his left arm in pain and immediately got knocked down by a stiff lariat to the back of the head. Manning went for another cover and only got another two count, this time blaming the referee. Sir Figgles: “This is not Charles you can bully around, Pierce!” Amy Maynard: “Leave the poor man alone, he’s enjoying a week off after the recent misadventures.” Billy stood up while his opponent was still protesting with the official. Sneaking up behind him, Billy tossed Pierce around with the ura nage called Imperium, following with yet another Chicago Blackout. The fans roared with excitement as Danielson signaled for The Franchise, setting the Riot champion up for his inverted crucifix powerbomb. The Man managed to slip away and pushed Billy into the referee! The Chicago born somehow managed to stop his momentum and avoid the collision, but it couldn’t help getting hit by a heavy elbow to the back of the head. Pierce tried to end things with his TBTM but just like with Billy before, the opponent slipped away from his grasp. Another Chicago Blackout, and another The Franchise attempt. This time a successful one. Billy draped his arm around the opponent for the cover, picking up a major win in his second MWE match. WINNER: Billy Danielson BY: Pinfall (The Franchise), 18:33 |
