Singles Match
Faizah Marshall VS Morag BeanFaizah Marshall didn’t come alone in her Riot debut, showing up in Rochester accompanied by a 6’4’’, 350 pounds monster going by the name of TD Batterson. The man didn’t say a word, keeping his eyes on Meera Makara, Morag’s bodyguard. The Indian Amazon, perhaps for the first time since they joined MWE, looked concerned and definitely impressed with Faizah’s hired muscle. And rightfully so, the man wasn’t only huge but he also looked like he wouldn’t think twice before breaking someone in half, even someone as structured and imposing as Meera. But as interesting a physical confrontation between the two might be, the real match was happening inside the ring, and it started with a bang. The pace was quick from the get going, both competitors trying to outmatch the other’s speed and surprise them with sudden pinning predicaments. Faizah did just that by leaping over the Cannibal Queen and pinning her with a sunset flip, but Morag resisted and countered it with a double foot stomp to the chest that knocked the air out of the two time Gold Star lungs. Bean insisted with a series of knee drops, aiming not only at Faizah’s head but her arm as well. Perhaps looking to pave her way toward a submission win, the Scotswoman focused her offense on that right arm, launching the former Academy student shoulder first into the turnbuckle. After the initial struggle, Marshall found her footing and went on the attack. The momentum began to switch into the Original BAE favor, Faizah whipped the opponent into the ropes and caught her with a scoop powerslam on the rebound for a count of two. Not even one minute later and the young woman came as close as it gets to the win with a springboard meteora. Faizah protested with the referee extensively, not because she thought his count was slow, rather because, unlike him, she noticed that Meera was the one resting Morag’s foot on the rope. TD spotted it as well, and took the issue straight to the Indian. They stared intensely in each other’s eyes but nobody was daring to throw the first shot. Even the referee was caught with the intense staredown between the two bodyguards, missing completely Morag biting Faizah’s face. It was the young woman’s scream who caught his attention, but by the time he turned around, Bean had already dropped her cannibalistic ways, defending herself by saying that she headbutted the Original BAE. While a clearly disgusted Faizah was covering her face, possibly more concerned with cleaning it off from Morag’s saliva than in actual pain, she left herself open to the Cannibal Queen’s Iron Fang (RKO). At the last possible moment Faizag was able to push her away, shoving Morag against the referee. As soon as the official went down, Meera blindsided TD with a punch to the jaw and entered the ring. Marshall backed down as the duo threateningly approached her, looking to exploit the situation by maximizing the damage while the ref was down. But whatever money Marshall had invested into hiring Batterson was well spent. The big man slid inside the ring and obliterated Makara with a clothesline from behind. Morag tried to run away but he grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her into a devastating blue thunder bomb that caused the whole ring to shake. Bean was down, the referee was recovering from the bump and TD took his cue to leave the ring. Fazah could’ve easily pinned the opponent and take the win, but she wanted to add her personal touch, climbing to the top rope for the Best Splash Ever (450 splash). WINNER: Faizah Marshall BY: Pinfall (Best Splash Ever), 8:28 |
The scene fades in on Pierce Manning already standing in the ring. The crowd doesn’t give him a chance to speak at first. The boos are immense. He stands there composed, willing to stand in the ring all night if he has to. He is holding the Riot Championship in one hand, and a microphone in the other. He brings the microphone to his lips.
Pierce Manning:
I’ve been dying to ask this one question.
Pierce holds the Riot Championship up in the air.
Pierce Manning:
Who’s the man?
The boos begin reign in. Pierce doesn’t give a damn how salty the crowd feels. A smirk forms on his face. He lowers the belt.
Pierce Manning:
What? You don’t like that I am your new and rightful Riot Champion? Do you long for the days of a sociopath like Henri Black hoarding this?
The audience cheers. Pierce rolls his eyes.
Pierce Manning:
Typical. Newsflash for all you morons. Henri Black doesn’t respect anyone on the MWE roster. Glory perhaps. The real reason for that is because he wants to get in her pants. She's not my speed. When your girlfriend is Megan Monroe, who else compares? On the surface I get why Henri flirts with Glory every chance he gets. Not because she is a great wrestler if you catch my drift.
Pierce winks as the crowd lets him know they don’t appreciate what he is insinuating.
Pierce Manning:
Henri’s defended the Riot Championship against outsiders. Bryan Ford and Duncan Ryder aren’t MWE mainstays; are they? No. They’re not. Why are we giving people outside this company exposure? MWE shouldn’t be in the business of charity. Open borders are wrong. We should keep the outsiders out of this company, let alone give them chances to possibly take the Riot Championship away from MWE. My first edict as the Face of Riot is to say, no more outsiders will receive a championship opportunity as long as I am the champion.
Pierce reaches into his jacket pocket, pulls out a piece of paper that he is prepared to read from.
Pierce Manning:
I have a list noteworthy challengers I wouldn’t mind defending against.
Vhristina Rose. But Pierce, didn’t she lose to an Academy student to forfeit her right to challenge for the Cloud Gate? That’s fair. You’re right. Knowing Christina’s luck she won’t remember she absolutely sucks in MWE. Hey. She’s still a multiple time World Champion. I respect the resume. Not the person.
Oh, how about Chris Sanderson? Seems like a nice guy.
Gareth Prichard Jr? The only way he’ll beat me is by drowning me to death with Baby Yoda gifs.
The crowd picking up on what Pierce is doing, boos. He has a chuckle before tossing the piece of paper aside.
Pierce Manning:
Oh I forgot, the names I listed are associated with the Millenium roster. My bad. My run as MENTV and Riot Champion saw me pretty much dominate the brand. Has Glory Braddock ever beaten me in a one on one match? No. I ran through Dean Smith. Echo twice, Liv Mercer Andrew Wilkow and Donovan Keane. Henri Black can’t touch me anymore. Who’s left? There is literally no one on the Riot roster who is qualified to touch The Man! What I’m going to do is watch every show from my luxury suite, laugh as everyone who thinks they can measure up to me make a case to dethrone The Face of Riot. It doesn't matter how hard the locker room fights for a chance to take a swing at the king, they are all going to miss terribly. Why? Because I AM THE MAN UP IN THIS--
"I Want It All" by Queen plays over the PA system and out walks Alex Andrews, the MENTV Championship about her waist, she holds up a microphone and begins to speak, pacing on stage.
Alex Andrews:
Has anyone told you you talk too much, Pierce? I swear, it's like you like the sound of your own voice.
Alex shakes her head, laughing to herself as she speaks again.
Alex Andrews:
You go on and on and on about whom you've beaten, who is and isn't worthy of being your challenger. You talk about you being The Face of Riot? Heh, don't make me laugh.
Alex smiles faintly.
Alex Andrews:
A little over a year ago, I was a green as grass rookie, just trying to gain some traction. And would you look at that...this..
Alex unsnaps the MENTV title and raises it over her head, high and proud.
Alex Andrews:
...this belt right here says I'm five defenses away from challenging you and YOUR belt. And that's what I'm going to do. I clawed and scratched to get this belt once more and would not be deterred. So if you think you prepresent what Riot is all about, think again. You're not the only Riot Champion making waves.
Pierce Manning raises an eyebrow.
Pierce Manning:
Ah, the MENTV Championship, I know all about that. I am the only person to defend that successfully five times. Good luck with that Alex. On the oft chance you do repeat my feat, I will have no problem showing you first hand who The Man around here is.
“I Come From Money” plays as Pierce and Alex don’t take their eyes off each other. Both competitors holding up their championships proudly as the crowd roars with anticipation about a potential match between them in the future.
Tag Team Match
Warblade 42 VS Dean Smith & Bree Smith
This wasn’t the first time Bree and Dean teamed together, but even if they don’t team up regularly, their chemistry was unquestionable and vastly proven. Warblade 42 was still taken by surprise as Bree and Dean dominated the first part of the match, cutting Niko off from her partner. Often you see teams cutting the ring in half to isolate one opponent, the Smiths took it to the next level and kept the Blade Maiden Of Tokyo in their corner. Dean used her as a punching bag for his boxing combinations, Bree drove her shoulder in Yua’s midsection until the japanese dropped on her knees, breathless and in a world of pain, likely with a couple of bruised ribs. Bree picked her up and sat her on her shoulders, making the tag to Dean who climbed to the top turnbuckle. The Smiths' version of the Doomsday Device had the former Invictus champion connecting his Mean Dean diving knee strike instead of the classic diving clothesline, turning out to be even more devastating. Valkyrie had to dive in to break up the pin at the very last moment, fending off both the opponent to get her partner a little bit of a breather. Niko took the chance to roll on the apron, regaining some energy while the Great Dane Bitch kept the two Smiths at bay. When the referee finally was able to get her to leave the ring, Dean went to grab Niko who surprised him with a shoulder tackle through the ropes into the midsection, doubling him over. The japanese jumped over the top rope and planted him on his head with a springboard ddt That was the opening Niko needed to make the tag to Valkyrie, and the Dane confirmed the great shape she found recently. She manhandled Dean for a good couple of minutes, connecting a big German suplex that almost got her the win. Dean eventually managed to get Bree in, and the fans could enjoy the fight between the two powerhouses. And it was a battle for the ages. Hard strikes, high impact moves, suplexes and more hard strikes. Bree and Vee went back and forth for a long time, none of them giving up or backing down from the fight. And eventually they took each other down, going for a big boot at the same time. The referee started the double count, both women got up at six and found themselves face to face one more time. Bree asked, and obtained, a test of strength with the viking, and just like everything else between the two, it was perfectly evenly matched. Valkyrie broke the stale with a knee to the stomach and tried to powerbomb Bree who broke free with a flurry of punches to the head of her opponent. The Power Of Btree was in full display tonight, the trifecta of german suplexes connected and almost got the win for her team. Way over the ten minutes mark, the match took the definitive turn. Bree and Dean had been nothing short than perfect until now, but the first, slight miscommunication between them gave Valkyrie the chance to stun Dean and get rid of Bree by throwing her out of the ring. She quickly made the tag, calling Niko in for the Knockout Junction. The Dane then kept Smith from interfering while her partner hooked the leg, scoring another win for Warblade 42. WINNER: Warblade 42 BY: Pinfall (Knockout Junction), 12:44 |
Backstage we see the large, intimidating form of “The Assassin” Clyde Sutter standing with his arms folded in front of him and staring with a stone cold hatred into the camera. Sutter is dressed in black pants, a black shirt, and a long black trenchcoat.
Clyde Sutter
The old hopeless romantics out there like to think that there is a match out there for everyone. They like to believe that there a special someone out there for each and every person who needs love. When I think about my opponent for this evening, I cannot help but think that perhaps I am looking into a mirror at a replica of my own self. I am from Southampton, she is from Northern Ireland. We both enjoy violence and enjoy fighting. We both have pent up rage and aggression that seems to drive and to motivate us. Under any other circumstance this could be one of those perfect matches that those hopeless romantics love to talk about.
The Assassin sneers.
Clyde Sutter
The thing about the hopeless romantics is that they are indeed hopeless. Romance, love, all of that is pure and simple hopelessness. And my opponent for this evening, Ms. Mahoney, should start to embrace hopelessness real quickly. Ms. Mahoney is going to learn the lesson of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Do you know the story, Sio? In case you are not familiar with it, I will recount its mythology. A town called Hamelin was plagued by rats until a mysterious figure with a magical pipe came along, promising to rid them of their rat infestation once and for all. The town promised to pay him for a successful extermination of the rats. The piper played his magical tune and marched the rats to their extermination. But the town in their arrogance thought that they could snub the piper. The piper made them pay for their crimes in the blood of their children. So the piper played again, this time he eradicated all of the children of Hamelin.
He chuckles nastily.
Clyde Sutter
Tiffany has paid the piper and as long as she continues to pay the piper she will be spared. But the rest of this company will not be spared. James Edwards was not spared. Now if Mr. Edwards is so anxious to be exterminated then so be it, book the match and I will personally end his pathetic existence. But tonight it is your turn, Ms. Mahoney. Tonight is your turn to pay the piper. And you will pay in your blood and your broken bones. The end is not near, Ms. Mahoney. The end, for you, is already here.
Singles Match
Clyde Sutter VS Siobhan MahoneyThe Assassin had been unleashed. Free of Mason Van Stanton control, Sutter didn't take long to find himself a lucrative contract and take out James Edwards for Tiffany Lynn Page. Of course nobody is expecting this to be over between the two, and with James rumored to be in Rochester tonight, chances were the Burning Heart would try to get his pound of flesh. With that in mind, Clyde had to keep an eye on the outside, thus offering his side to Siobhan. The Human Disaster struck fast and hard with a knee to the ribs, causing Clyde to wince in pain. Mahoney laid out a flurry of kicks to the Assassin, sending him flying on the mat with a hurricanrana to which she followed with a low dropkick to the face. The Northern Irish woman attempted a quick cover but she only obtained a two as Clyde raised his shoulder in time. As minutes passed, the advantage earned in the first moments of the match began to fade and Clyde recovered ground. There was nothing fancy in his offense, mostly consisting of direct punches and kicks for a simple yet very effective offense. Siobhan found herself stuck in the corner with the opponent on the middle rope raining down hard punches to her face. An unexpected help came from the fans whose chant “James is gonna kill you” worked as a distraction, causing Sutter to stop to reply to them with a rude gesture. Siobhan took the chance to slip under his leg and kick him hard on the back of the leg, knocking him off the ropes and dropping him face first on the top turnbuckle. Though she wasn’t famous for her aerial skills, Mahoney took it to the sky and hit a double foot stomp, but not even that was enough to keep Clyde down. The contest remained interesting throughout the following minutes, some good back and forth action though if this had to come down to a judge's decision, Clyde would have probably had a slight advantage, if anything for how close to the three his Cruciform Slam got him. That move was perhaps the turning point of the match. Up to that moment the former MENTV champion looked not too shabby, giving the Assassin a run for his money connecting moves like her Eire Raid (running bicycle kick) and the Blarney Stoned (sitout facebuster). But after Clyde’s gorilla press spinebuster, things took a bad turn for the Hot Mess, unable to turn the tides as the match slowly dragged to the end. Sutter tried to put her to sleep with his Judgement Day and it looked like Mahoney was giving up, fading out as she stopped trying to escape the armbar sleeper. The referee moved in position to check on her, asking if she was giving up. Siobhan refused to quit, finding a way to reach the ropes and forcing the break. It didn’t come before Clyde exploited the full five count, doing more damage to the arm and leaving the opponent completely out of breath. The referee managed to keep Clyde away for a few seconds, giving Siobhan a chance to regroup. When the action restarted, Sutter went to grab the opponent but the Northern Irish hit him with her Shillelagh (spin kick). She couldn’t get all of it, and Clyde managed to kick out in the nick of time. The two kept trading strikes, a situation that clearly favored the Assassin who, eventually, hit his Unforgiven Claymore kick, picking up a win. WINNER: Clyde Sutter BY: Pinfall (Unforgiven), 11:17 |
The fans were booing Clyde, and he couldn't care less. If anything, he taunted them asking where their hero Edwards was, and his prayers were answered. The Burning Heart jumped the barricade and slide inside the ting to a thunderous ovation from the fans. The two began to brawl, picking up exactly where they left two weeks ago at "When The Sun Goes Down." Security was ready to intervene, after all the assault was almost prmised by Edwards, and they quickly were able to break things up, dragging the two consestants away from each other's throat.
Backstage we find “The British Bombshell” Glory Braddock dressed in a royal purple dress and black patent leather high heel pumps. Her long blonde hair hangs unrestrained to past the shoulders. She has a cold, stoic stare in her face and is seen conversing with someone. The other person we cannot yet make out, for they are out of the camera’s viewing range.
Glory Braddock
I don’t like this. I do not like this one bit. Neil and Sophie should be the MWE World Tag Team Champions right now but they were screwed over by Eldon and her ilk. Time and time again I have been screwed out of opportunities to put singles gold back around my waist and believe me when I say that I am very anxious to put gold back around this waist. I should have been World Champion, I still haven’t received my rematch for the Riot Championship. Now I see the biggest mistake to ever come out of my wrestling school, that thug Clyde Sutter, is now someone’s hired goon. Though I expect James Edwards will handle that situation all by himself.
Braddock shakes her head.
Glory Braddock
Still, I don’t like what is going on within MWE right now. Certain things need to be set right, certain wrongs need to be confronted, but the problem is that there is too much wrong for just one person to confront. Hell, there’s too much wrong in MWE for even all of the Glorious Golden Era to confront. We need to prioritize, but that doesn’t mean ignoring certain problems and letting those responsible get away with it. As a matter of fact, there is one particular wrong that I think we can take care of. Now I’m sure you witnessed, as everyone else did, Henri Black get screwed out of the Riot Championship. Whether Pierce paid off Charles or whether Charles really is just that bloody incompetent, the point is that something needs to be done. Now maybe Henri will be the one to take care of Pierce? Or maybe it will be me? I honestly still have no bloody clue what management has in store for me next. But I do know that something needs to be done about Charles. And it can’t be done by me. He’ll already suspect something is up after the whole muffin incident. And that’s why I have called you.
Braddock produces a chili cheeseburger still in a wrapper. She passes it over to the person she was talking to…the camera pans over to see that it is none other than the reigning Chicago Way Champion Kimberly Williams.
Glory Braddock
Now if I understand this right then a chili cheeseburger means you will just torture, maybe even maim the bloke, but you won’t kill him? I mean, I just want to send a message. That’s all.
Kimberly Williams
Yep, you got it! Thanks for the chili cheeseburger, but I woulda let you have this for free on a family discount since your cousin is my mom and all. But anyway, I do have special plans for referee Charles.
Singles Match
Tank Steiner VS Chantelle w/Commas OxfordIn her debut match Chantelle was presented with a huge task, a pissed off 340 pounds Austrian out for blood. Tank, in fact, didn’t appreciate the interference made by the Tribe Called Conquest in the summer shows and he made sure both Chantell and Commas knew that. After disposing of the woman in fact, the powerhouse hit a baseball slide to throw Oxford back into the barricades. By doing so he turned his back on Chantelle who began dropping forearm strikes to his massive back. Despite her efforts those strikes barely affected Tank, unlike the backfist he threw next that knocked the Tribe member down on the mat. Herr Steiner tried to kick Chantelle’s head off with a shining wizard but the woman dropped on her back and ducked it. She quickly got up and prepared herself to receive the charging Tank, using a drop toe hold to take him down. The Austrian Hulk’s face bounced off the canvas twice. One for Chantelle’s takedown, the second one for her curb stomp. She rolled the big man on his back, not without struggle, and made the cover, but Tank kicked out in two. Commas on the outside was cheering heavily on his fellow tribe member, his constant support and the occasional insults and mockery to her opponent were definitely a factor in this match. The fans, on the other hand, firmly supported the Austrian Hulk who whipped Chantelle in the corner. They knew what was coming, and they began cheering in anticipation for Tank’s stiff chops. Oxford knew it as well and jumped on the apron on a brave and risky attempt to save his associate. He literally took a bullet for her, the sound of Tank’s hand on his chest echoed throughout the Blue Cross Arena, leaving bruises upon impact and knocking him off the apron. Tank then turned his attention back on Chantelle, trying to hit her not with a chop but an elbow strike. The young woman ducked and slipped out of the corner, pushing Tank into the turnbuckle and rolling him up into another pinning predicament, resting both feet on the middle rope to get more leverage, but she still couldn’t keep Tank down. The match continued on that same pattern, and it couldn’t be otherwise. Tank had the height, weight, strength and experience advantage and every time he was able to build some momentum, it looked like he could do some serious Damage to Chantelle. His Das Boot flattened the green haired girl, and might as well have been enough to give Tank the win if only he could make the cover. Luckily for Chantelle, Commas was there to bail her out of this complicated situation, literally dragging her out of the ring to avoid any pinning predicament. This didn’t sit well with Tank, or the referee. The official threatened to send Commas off if he tried to interfere once again, Steiner wasn’t as benevolent as the referee, pushing him against the apron on his way to drag Chantelle back in the ring. Proving herself as a quick thinker, Chantelle kicked Tank down below as the referee was checking on Oxford, and immediately drove the Austrian head first into the ring post. She pushed him in the ring and entered as well, dropping the giant on his head with a quick DDT for another two count. Chantelle stayed on the attack with wild kicks, a strategy that was paying off until Tank grabbed her leg and tossed her halfway across the ring with an exploder suplex. Chantell got up quickly and rushed to the attack, running into a pop up powerbomb from Steiner who then climbed to the top rope. It was time for Der große Kaboom, but the Rochester fans didn’t see the spectacular moonsault, once again because of Commas shaking the top rope and causing Tank to fall out of the ring in a spectacular and painful fashion. The match ended in a disqualification, which only gave start to the two on one assault. WINNER: Tank Steiner BY: DQ, 12:06 |
The duo was literally tearing Tank apart with kicks and stomps from which the big man tried to defend himself. But the Tribe was disposing him, Dante's intervention wasn't even needed. As Chantelle and Commas continued on their task to put down Tank the way they did with Hearst. Someone eventually appeared to save the day. Judging by the size, it clearly wasn't Dustin Douglas rushing to the scene.
Then who were they?
Could it be...?
Yes, that's him, that's...
DEVON SLAYTON
Close friend of Tank, the Black Savior rushed down the ramp. Chantelle looked to stop him and ran into Devon's Hellhound (black hole slam) on the unprotected concrete floor. Commas turned his attention on Slayton and the two traded quick punches, a sequence that ended with the Black Flame. The fans were on their feet for the veteran who single handedly took down two thirds of the Tribe Called Conquest. The third member of the stable, Dante Cutler now showed up, staring at Slayton from the entrance stage. Devon was helping Tank back to his feet when he spotted The Rhythm. He looked back in the former CWC world champion's eyes, almost daring him to join.
But Dante didn't move, he simply called Chantelle and Commas and the trio retreated. One thing was for sure, things were far from over between the Tribe and the newest addition to the MWE roster. Devon Slayton just made the list.

We find referee Charles running for his life, screaming bloody murder at the top of his lungs. We see the reason why as the Chicago Way Champion, “The Woman Scorned” Kimberly Williams is in hot pursuit. She has her Freddy Krueger knife glove, lovingly named “Betty White” on her hand waving it menacingly at him.
Kimberly Williams
“ome back, Charlie! I promise this won’t hurt!
Charles
Are you freaking kidding me?! Those are knives!
Kimberly Williams
What?! I’m telling the truth because it won’t hurt…it won’t hurt me at least. But you will probably be in excruciating pain.
Charles takes a turn to the right hoping to avoid the deranged ginger who is swiping at him with her knife glove. Unfortunately he trips over a chord and falls over. He turns over and sees Kim standing over him menacingly.
Charles
Please don’t hurt me! Please!
Kimberly Williams
Oh I’m not going to hurt you. But he will…
Kimberly points. Charles turns his head as best he can seeing as he is on the floor. He spots the Dalek rolling towards him with a can of the Ghost pepper hot sauce. Charles tries to crawl away but Kim grabs him and holds him tight.
Dalek
PREPARE FOR MAXIMUM EXTERMINATION!
The Dalek pours the entire contents of the ghost pepper hot sauce into Charles’s mouth. Charles quickly begins screaming in agony. Before she lets him get away Kim snatches her staple gun, pulls Charles’s pants down, and uses the staple gun to staple his ass.
Charles
SON OF A BITCH AAAAAGGGHH!!!!
Charles manages to get up and run away. Kimberly snickers nastily as she watches on.
Singles Match
Tiffany Lynn-Page VS Billy DanielsonTiffany Lynn-Page took the fight to the “debutant” Billy Danielson to start, but she was quickly taken down by the G.O.A.T who used his superior strength to his advantage. The highly anticipated debut of the Chicago Born raised the fans’ expectations, but Billy wasn’t one to crumble under pressure and delivered an impressive performance in the first minutes, looking fully focused and in great shape. The former MENTV champion wasn’t able to find any opening in the early moments, failing every attempt to turn the tides of a match that, until now, saw Billy dominating both far and wide. Less than five minutes on the clock and the match was almost over as Danielson caught the Diva with his Thinning The Herd (RKO), from which Page barely kicked out. Tiffany took a breather rolling out of the ring, but Billy wasn’t giving them the luxury of a time out, following her on the outside and beginning to chase her around the ring. Tiffany kept running from Billy, suddenly sliding back in and running to the opposite side of the ring, bouncing off the ropes to deliver a big single leg dropkick to Danielson’s face. A series of furious stomps to the head and a series of kicks when Billy got up kept Tiffany ahead, but she missed the Prima Donna chick kick, leaving herself exposed to the G.O.A.T’s comeback. He took her down with a russian leg sweep followed by a jumping knee drop, but that found nobody home as Tiffany had moved out of the way. She went for a second chick kick, this one catching Billy on the side of the head for a count of two. To keep the advantage the bombshell used every trick in the book. Hair pulls, eye rakes, attempts to remove the protective pads from the corner and the consequent low blow while the referee was busy trying to put it back into place. With Billy doubled over holding his jewels, Tiffany went for her Sex In The City, connecting the codebreaker that gave her so many wins in the past. But tonight that wasn’t enough, Billy refused to make his MWE debut go in the records with a loss and popped up a shoulder right before the three. Tiffany couldn’t believe it and took her frustration out on the referee, screaming at him. As often happens in wrestling, taking your eyes off the prize is a mistake you’ll inevitably pay for, and it happened to Tiffany as well with Billy catching her off guard and dropping her on the canvas with the Imperium (Ura Nage). Danielson kept building momentum, almost feeding on the crowd’s reaction every time he hit Page with one of his power moves. She may as well be born in the New York state but the people of Rochester clearly weren’t fans of the upper-class woman, clearly taking Billy’s side. The former Mainstream champion was giving them exactly what they wanted, resisting Tiffany’s comeback attempt and eventually finishing her with his patented The Franchise (Inverted Crucifix Powerbomb), picking up the win in his MWE and Riot debut. WINNER: Billy Danielson BY: Pinfall (The Franchise), 15:46 |
We’re brought backstage of the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester New York where we see the MWE Intercontinental champion, your hero and mine, Matt Stone walking around backstage, having a look around and talking to no one in particular. He’s got the aforementioned championship around his waist, a pair of jeans and his own brand of T-Shirt reading ‘Shut Me Up’ across the front of it.
Matt Stone:
So this is what it looks like backstage as a Riot show...doesn’t look any different, really.
He wasn’t talking to anyone in particular, just a camera following him around, likely at his own request.
Matt Stone:
Whole different roster and not an interesting person amongst them, it would seem. Such a pity...but you know what? That’s fine.
He stops to look at the camera, undoing the championship title and holding it up in front of himself.
Matt Stone:
For those of you that only watch Riot you may not be familiar with me and shame on you if that’s the case but my name is Matt Stone. For the last year I have been making a name for myself over on Millenium, scratching and clawing to get the recognition I deserve. I know it may be cliche for a Canadian to say they started from the bottom but I actually did and now I’m here, able to come and go as I please because I have this glorious championship and rest assured I will not be vacating this title for any reason. I will drag myself out to that ring if I have to in order to successfully defend this title because that is what it deserves and I am the only person who can do this title justice. You heard me right, be they from Millenium, Riot or straight from the Academy I am willing to take on all comers and I will rebuke them all. This is my promise to you and if you think based on this one interaction with me that I talk too much le me assure you you haven’t heard anything yet and if you want me to stop talking, if you want me to go away all you have to do is show up and SHUT. ME. UP!
Stone takes a step towards the camera so his merch is front and center, gotta earn those dollars after all before walking off, holding his title high and proud down the hallway.

We hired Billy Danielson and didn’t put him in the main event?” Amy Maynard: “Well, this one is a title match, I think it makes…” Sir Figgles: “My Man The Man is not in the ring, Echo is suspended because Moretti is too much of a wuss so this must be the Hot Potato championship, the one that changed hands three times in one night. Who is even the champion now? Who really cares? And why is there a minor in the ring? Where are her parents, we can’t have kids wrestling, this is not M..” Amy Maynard: “Oh God, SHUT UP! Alex Andrews, Millie Smith, MENTV championship on the line, let’s go!” They tied up to start before getting into a fast exchange. Both used their speed and creativity to try to surprise the opponent with quick and elaborate pinning combinations. None of them obviously got them the win but the fans appreciated the display. Alex nodded at Millie and offered her a handshake, which was accepted by the Academy graduate without hesitation. After the gesture of sportsmanship and show of respect, the match continued as Alex got Millie to the mat and stepped over her a few times before rocking her with a shining wizard. The champ picked up Millie but the blonde whipped her into the corner and went for a running back elbow. Andrews avoided her charge and hit an elbow of her own before taking her around the ring and slamming her into each turnbuckle. Amy Maynard: “Great start from Alex, the champ is in top form tonight.” Sir Figgles: “Helps that her opponent is green as grass.” Amy Maynard: “She may be, but that doesn’t take anything away from her talent, and she proved it in both the Academy and the main roster.” Flipping Millie on the mat with a snapmare, Alex then hit her with a knee to the back and moved in front of the young challenger, taking aim and delivering a superkick to the face. Millie barely managed to avoid it dropping on the mat and rolling to her side, getting up to her feet. Alex charged her but the youngest member of the Smith family leapfrogged over the champion and caught her off the rebound with a picture perfect dropkick. One thing that struck the eye about Millie’s wrestling style, aside from the impressive speed and agility Mils already got everyone accustomed to, was how her tag team partner’s style was starting to blend in with hers, giving her a new array of offense, something Alex wasn’t prepared for. She clearly studied Millie’s previous matches, using the knowledge to prevent and block some of the Bahama Baby’s trademark moves, but when she began fighting like Trinity, using some of the striking combination her “teamie” must have taught her, Millie took control of the operations, obtaining a delayed two counts with an imitation of Trin’s Deathkick. Amy Maynard: “Two! Only a two! That was a close call for the champion!” The match continued, turning out to be more complicated for the champion than anyone would have thought when it was first booked. An Irish whip by Millie was blocked by Alex who then countered the second attempt and fired Smith into the ropes, waiting for her to bounce back in the middle of the ring and catching her with a scoop powerslam. Alex began building momentum once again with a series of chops Raku on Millie’s chest. She then threw Smith into the corner and hit a running kick to the face, making another cover for two. Alex went for another slam but Millie slid away and delivered a Side Russian Leg Sweep for a two count. Not slowing down, the recently graduated went for a beautiful springboard moonsault but once again the champion stayed alive. Sir Figgles: “And she challenged Pierce? She can’t even put down a teenager, what chances do you think she honestly has against The Man?” Amy Maynard: “I have to admit, Millie is impressive tonight. What a performance from this young lady!” All good things must come to an end, and so did Millie’s good run in this match. Alex caught her on the top top and suplexed her all the way down with a tremendous impact on the mat. Both of them were down, the champion was the first to get up to a vertical base and kicked things into high gear, bringing the fight to Millie and going at her all guns blazing. In rapid succession she delivered the Broken Wings backstabber, the Elysium as soon as Millie got up and Queen’s End (hammerlock ddt) to put Millie down for good. Except it didn’t work, Smith kicked out in two and nine tenths. Alex looked at the clock signaling how much she had left: three minutes and a bunch of seconds. This slight distraction gave Millie time to recover and when the champion charged in, she caught her with a spanish fly, almost getting the decisive three with the spectacular move. Another exchange occurred in the middle of the ring, intense and hard hitting. Alex eventually got the best of it, stunning Millie and planting her on her face with the Hella Rough unprettier.
