This is the night of Resurrection X, GCW’s signature event. We open in the owner’s luxury box. Glory Braddock is there with her special guest Aphrodite Noel.
Glory: Thanks for joining me here. I hope you enjoyed the show so far.
Aphrodite: Makes me miss the days when I was humbling whoever thought it was a great idea to cross my path.
Glory: There are a few things I want to get off my chest, if I can. I know that the world knows me as Glory Braddock. And as far as the world knows, that’s who I am. As far as the world knows those psychiatric treatments required by my company’s Board of Directors worked. But if I’m honest with you, those treatments did more harm than good. I didn’t know why but with each session I lost more control over what I thought was PTSD. It led me to do things I now regret. It made me into a monster. And I blamed you, because everything I did was right out of your playbook. I did what you taught me. But when I nearly lost my sister, when I almost lost Julia, I knew something had to change and it had to start with me. So I did whatever I could to prove to her I wanted to fix this, to repair our relationship, and get her to trust me again. I even agreed to visit with you and her on a regular basis, and I agreed to play into what I thought was her delusion, her fantasy of her as Chastity and me as Lindsay, your daughters.
She chuckles.
Glory: For awhile I WAS just pretending, early on I was just playing into her fantasy in order to earn her trust; but now I’m not pretending. I realize that my whole problem has been that I was the one living in a fantasy world of me being Glory Braddock again when in reality I am Lindsay Gloria Marie Braddock Noel, youngest daughter of Aphrodite Noel. Chastity had it right all along. That revelation also helped me realize what really turned me into a monster, what my mental demons really were and it wasn’t PTSD.
She shakes her head.
Glory: The problem was my attempt to fight it, and drive Lindsay away; in doing so I just blurred the lines between Lindsay and Glory and not in a good way. I became cold, heartless, and ruthless. But that’s not your daughter. It isn’t Glory Braddock, either. It’s the mental demon that resulted from me trying to deny who I had become. But now I’m in a better mental place. I’ve figured out how to cope with who I am. I’m not going to push away either Glory Braddock or Lindsay Noel. Both make up who I am. I am Lindsay Gloria Marie Braddock Noel and I am proud to call myself your daughter.
The normally stoic Aphrodite Noe’s eyes widened considerably. She places a hand over her heart, touched by what Glory has told her. A tear falls down her cheek.
Aphrodite: You have no idea how much that means to me.
Glory: You have no idea what gift you gave me. I loved my father, and I don’t blame him, but I always felt I was the son he never got. And my actual mother left for the United States after divorcing my father. I don’t blame her, I have no room to judge her, but that meant for most of my teenage life and adult life I never had a maternal figure. You gave me the mother I wanted. You taught me so much about how to be a lady and about running a business. I am running a wrestling promotion, a school, and a modeling agency, but all of that would not have happened had it not been for your lessons.
Aphrodite: I am more than proud of you... Lindsay.
Aphrodite smiles.
Aphrodite: I wouldn’t be the woman I am if it wasn’t for you and Julia. I was lost for the longest time. No one around to ground me. Abigail will always be my girl but, we both know how my cousin is. Not exactly the most stabilizing force in the world. My mom and dad, they instilled in me an endless desire to conquer one mountain after the next. I’ll never deny that part of myself, there is more to life than winning championships, conquering the next challenge. I would easily become a monster. You and Julia have given me a gift that is irreplaceable. Family. One of my choosing. The three of us have come along way. I’m glad we reached this point. My life would be empty without you two.
Glory: My father had the same desire to conquer and it cost him his career. He passed that desire to conquer onto me and Jul...Chastity. We needed humbling especially me. At the time I looked at it as my identity being stolen but looking back it was a gift. It brought me back down to earth. And you are right, we are family, and I know that I have a Mother who will keep me humbled. Who will look after me and ensure I don’t make those mistakes again. As for Chastity…
She sighs.
Glory: ...I have not yet told her the good news. This Resurrection main event will either be the greatest moment in her career or her greatness disappointment. Either way, she will need time after this weekend is over.
Aphrodite grabs Glory’s hand.
Aphrodite: Either way, we’ll be there for her, as a family. As it was meant to be.
Glory: Yes, we will. Thank you, Mother.

We open in a hospital room in New York City. It was just a few hours ago that the scummy con artist of an agent Mason Van Stanton was thrown off the top of a hell in a cell and crashed into an announce table below. Mason isn’t a mere wrestling agent, he is a trained wrestler himself; but even Mason hasn’t been trained to be thrown off of heights like that. He is currently being nursed back to health in this hospital room. Doctors will hopefully release him soon; at least he hopes so. He will have to go to his backup plan. This hell in a cell match he agreed to compete in was supposed to be his way of getting his client, Clyde Sutter, another wrestling job. But his failure means that door is shut. At least he still has MWE and no one can do anything about that.
A nurse walks in and smiles warmly at Van Stanton. “Are you feeling well this morning, Mr. Van Stanton?”
“My back is still killing me!”
“That’s to be expected. You took a very nasty bump.”
“Yeah, whatever.” He rolls his eyes. “Look, can’t you get the doctor to give me more painkillers?!”
“I will speak to the doctor about it, Mr. Van Stanton. Meanwhile, you have a visitor waiting to see you. I told her you would probably be in too much pain to see anyone.”
“A visitor?” Van Stanton furrows his brow. “Is it Clyde Sutter? Karen or Melanie McBride?”
She shakes her head. “No, it’s a blonde. And I think she said her name was Lindsay Noel.”
Mason smirks knowingly. “Oh really? Well by all means, let her in.”
“Are you sure?”
“Oh I’ll be fine.”
“Ok, but she can’t stay long. You need your rest.”
The nurse walks out of the room. A few moments later the door opens and Glory Braddock emerges inside the room. He gazes up at The British Bombshell and chuckles.
“You know what’s funny about this? One year ago to the day we were working together to get your sister locked up in a mental hospital. You had me use my special contract I had over her at the time to get her labeled clinically insane just because she changed her name from Julia Braddock to Chastity Noel. Now one year later you are what? Lindsay Noel?”
“I was wrong then. Chastity was not insane, she had just learned to accept who she had become. I have grown to accept who I am. As a wrestler I will always be Glory Braddock. That’s the mindset I need to have; but as a corporate business woman? As a mother and wife? I am Lindsay Noel. You could try changing and growing as a person instead of being this snake in the grass that you are right now.” Braddock looks at Mason’s pathetic form lying in the hospital bed and scoffs. “But looking at you, I seriously doubt you are capable of change.”
“Change? I do not need to change.”
“I think you do. Look at you, Mason. You are in a hospital bed with a back injury that will keep you out for who knows how long!”
“Good thing I’m not an active wrestler then, isn’t it?” He growls.
“Even still, you won’t be able to help your clients that much. You wanted to get Clyde Sutter a contract to compete for GCW? I own GCW and I was willing to go along with Tabitha Silverstone’s idea of the hell in a cell match with the stipulation that should you, Sutter, and The McBride girls win Sutter would get a contract, but I only went along with it because I had the utmost confidence in my sister, in Hannah and Kendra, and Gabriela’s ability to win. Not only did they win, but they destroyed you. I especially enjoyed watching Destiny spear you through the cell wall...I enjoyed watching Destiny throw you off the top of the cell...all that had to break some ribs and maybe a back.” Braddock sneers. “Serves you right for what your father did to my father.”
“Oh right, I forgot how my dad ended your dad’s pathetic little career with a back injury! Of course this is all about revenge for you!” Mason smirks knowingly. “Don’t act all high and mighty with me, Braddock. You are no better than me.”
“There’s your problem, Mason. Glory Braddock is a better person than that. Glory Braddock would not seek revenge. And on any other day I might be willing to negotiate with you, simply because turning the other cheek is the right thing to do. But I picked up a great many things from Aphrodite Noel, among them the notion of vengeance. You helped put my sister and I with Aphrodite because you wanted to drive a wedge between us and ultimately destroy us. But we’ve grown closer. And you also created a new side to my personality, the side I call Lindsay Noel, and Lindsay is cold, ruthless, and enjoys revenge. So this is what is going to happen…”
Braddock glares down at Mason. “...obviously Mr. Sutter will not get a GCW contract. I may even speak with Elsa on the Millennium Brand and let her know about Sutter’s reputation and see if I can convince her to at least give him an extended vacation? As for you, I will speak with Tabitha Silverstone and let her know that in the best interests of your health and well being you should not be allowed inside of a GCW sanctioned event for the foreseeable future. Again, I will also speak with Elsa and give her the same recommendation. After all, we want you to heal up, Mason. We don’t want what happened to my father to happen to you, now do we?”
Van Stanton sneers. “You can’t do that, Braddock! You may have that kind of power in GCW but you don’t have that sway and influence in MWE. You are on the Riot Brand, Sutter is on Millennium!”
“Maybe I can’t?” She shrugs. “But I am definitely going to try. I am done standing idly by and letting you get away with using legal loopholes to ruin people’s lives just because you can. I’ve never stopped you because I didn’t think it was right to interfere and I didn’t think it was my place. I also had promised myself not to further engage myself in this feud between our two families. But the fact is that your father ended my father’s career, you and your jackass brother have tried to end mine, and now I will do everything within my power to end yours.”
Braddock turns and walks off.
