Singles Match
Nine van der Hoek VS Leia LeBeauOpening match for the longest reigning Junior Heavyweight champion in history whose recent “Riot After Hours'' surely ruffled some feathers. Her opponent was the New Problem Nine van der Hoek who’s been on a roll since making her debut in the company. With all due respect to her previous opponents though, Leia LeBeau was in a different league, that much was evident from the first minutes. The Showgirl started with a flurry of kicks, pushing the Frisian Demon into the corner. The referee asked and obtained a clean rope break by the Junior Heavyweight champion who took a couple of steps back. Nine reached her there and blocked the kick, using a dragon screw to take Leia down. Keeping hold on her ankle, the Dutch began to kick the champ behind her knee. Using the free leg, Leia pushed van der Hoek away and back rolled up to her feet, ducking a clothesline attempt with a Matrix-like evasion. Nine bounced off the ropes into a leg lariat from LeBeau, followed by the standing somersault legdrop. First pinning predicament of the match and first count of two for The Show. Nine rolled out of the ring to regroup, Leia went to chase her and the two began to fight out of the ring. The New Problem planted the champion on her face with the leaping reverse STO and pushed her back inside the ring, hooking the leg to score what would be a big win but LeBeau stayed in the match. The two women were back on their feet trading blows when Invoking Dominance by Hatebreed blared out of the loudspeakers and Echo walked out of the curtain. This obviously distracted Leia who received a hard knee to the stomach by the pupil of Alesio van Duren. The champion stumbled back against the ropes, bouncing back with a lariat that turned Nine inside out. Echo reached the ring and smirked at Leia who looked ready to defend herself from the imminent attack. Echo instead turned around and walked toward the camera in a threatening manner. The shot began to shake, or actually the person holding the camera did. Echo’s target was Bebe, Leia’s little sister. The Junior Heavyweight champion yelled at her to stop, but her attention had to go immediately back to back to the match as Nine hit her with a clothesline to the back. Bebe dropped the camera and started running around the ring, chased by the Australian. The cameraman escaped backstage but Echo was much faster and eventually grabbed her by the arm. Before she could do anything though Donovan Keane ran out of the curtain and saved Bebe. The two, whose match was scheduled right after that fought all the way to the ring, Donnie eventually got the best and dropped Echo with a ddt on the concrete. He climbed on the apron and from there to the top turnbuckle, ready to fly on the former Invictus champion. Nine pushed him down for a ruinous fall on the outside, taking his spot on the top rope and smirking at the sight of Donnie wriggling in pain. Leia ran up the corner to catch the Dutch with a beautiful spanish fly. She was about to make the cover but Echo grabbed her by the ankle and dragged her outside. Donnie hit the Aussie from behind, Leia struck her with a high kick to the head and got hit by a baseball slide from Nine that sent her crashing into Donnie. The referee called for the bell, declaring this a no contest as it became clear that he lost any control on the match. WINNER: // BY: No Contest, 7:46 |
Vincent Moretti walked out from behind the curtains, shaking his head visibly disappointed with what just happened.
Vincent Moretti:
You couldn’t just help yourself, Echo.. Right?”
Standing at the top of the ramp, the Riot General Manager then turned his attention to Donovan now.
Vincent Moretti:
And you, Donnie… I understand your reasons, I truly do… But look at the GODDAMN mess you two made!
Taking a few steps down the ramp, Vincent helped Bebe back to her feet, asking her how she was feeling after the chaotic action that unfolded.
Vincent Moretti:
Are you good, kid? Do you feel like continuing doing your job? You don’t have to, I can get someone to take your spot…
Bebe shook her head and reassured the General Manager. She then picked up the camera from the floor and quickly checked it. Everything seemed in order and working, despite the bump.
Vincent Moretti:
I hope you saved some energy, kids. Your match is up next.
As soon as he pronounced those words, Moretti froze on the spot, struck by an enlightening idea.
Vincent Moretti:
On second thought… The fine people of North Charleston came here to see their Junior Heavyweight champion in action, and I’m not going to disappoint them. Referee… Restart the match. We’re having Nightfall Show versus van der Hoek and Echo under Tornado Tag rules!
The news was welcomed by loud cheers from the audience. Donnie and Leia shared their enthusiasm, while their opponents didn’t look too thrilled. But they’ll make do.
Tornado Tag Team Match
Echo & Nine van der Hoek VS Nightfall ShowThe impromptu tag team match started just like the first one was interrupted, with the four competitors beating each other up with stiff shots. Moretti booked this under Tornado rules to allow the two teams to give vent to all the aggression they showed moments ago. This made the match fun to watch, but extremely chaotic. Two on one situations were pretty frequent and perfectly legal. Not so legal was the knee strike Echo delivered to Donovan’s crotch, but since the referee was busy checking if Leia was going to tap out to Nine’s abdominal stretch. Echo left Keane in agony and went to Leia, hitting her with hard punches to the stretched abdominal area. LeBeau refused to tap out and tried to break free. Echo bent the knee and told Nine to lift the Showgirl and dropped her stomach first onto the knee, for an assisted gutbuster. The Aussie made the cover, but Leia popped her shoulder up in time. Finally recovering from the low blow, DK threw himself back in the mix, attacking van der Hoek with a surprise snap german suplex ending the brutal two on one assault on his girlfriend. Seeing that the cavalry had finally arrived gave Leia new hope and energy to make her comeback. Showing off her boxing skills, the Junior Heavyweight champion bombarded the towering Aussie with a flurry of quick jabs, forcing her back into the ropes. She sent her for a run and leapfrogged over her as she bounced back, Behind her was Donnie who lifted Echo and dropped her neck first onto the top rope with a stun gun. As the former Invictus champion stumbled back trying to catch her breath, Leia delivered a brutal crane kick and hooked the leg for a cover. Echo popped her shoulder up at the last second. As good as the two singles matches would’ve been, this twist added by Moretti surely raised the bar, giving the South Carolina fans a great match to kick off the night. Echo and Nine may have never been teaming together, but they compensated it with their ruthless aggression, focusing on one opponent at the time after taking the other out. This time they threw Leia out of the ring and double teamed Donovan, taking turns delivering him some nasty chops. Each of them then grabbed one arm to fire him in the opposite corner, then Echo whipped her partner against him for a double knee to the face. As soon as Nine moved away, it was her turn to charge in for a massive back elbow to the face. Snapmare and kick to the back while Nine ht the poor guy with a shining wizard. Keane was down and the Australian made the cover, broken up by a desperate dive from the Junior Heavyweight champion. She fought like a lion, using her long legs to keep the two opponents at bay buying her man as much time as she could. Not only kicks though, Leia got real close to the three with a Barista Bomb on van der Hoek, saved by Echo. Eventually the number game caught up on her, and the uncharacteristic duo gained control. A roaring elbow by Nine sent the young Junior Heavyweight champion right into a Reverb by the former Chicago Lab trainee. A cover was made right away but from outside the ring, Donovan grabbed Echo’s leg and dragged her outside and threw her into the commentary table. He then rushed into the ring to break up the Old Honor submission Nine had locked Leia in before too much damage could be done. The Nightfall Show worked perfectly greatly against the Dutch exploiting the numeric advantage. Irish whip into the corner by Donnie followed by a running crossbody that saw him transitioning onto the apron in one fluid motion, giving Leia the chance to connect the Jet City Jive while he climbed to the top rope. On the outside, Echo was starting to stir, as witnessed by a very close-up by Bebe. Donnie put the exclamation point with the DK Bomb, making the cover. But while the referee was making the count a loud “BIIIISH” echoed in the Arena. Bebe’s voice came out muffled, the reason was that Echo had grabbed her by the throat. Once again the camera was dropped on the floor while the cameraman was lifted in the air. Simultaneously to the bell ringing and signaling the end of the match, Echo put Leia’s sister through the table. Both members of Nightfall Show darted out of the ring, LeBeau immediately going to check on her sister while Donnie went straight for Echo. But the Aussie had already jumped the barricade and was laughing at them from the crowd. WINNER: Nightfall Show BY: Pinfall (DK Bomb), 14:28 |
PRE RECORDED...
The scene opens in the backseat of a limosouin. Pierce Manning, wearing a light grey double breasted suit, blue tie and auburn loafers has a wine glass in his right hand. He takes a sip from it, rests the glass down, gives the camera his undivided attention.
Pierce Manning:
Not a lot needs to be said about last week. What you saw was three athletes at the top of their game doing what we do best. Win. The Glorious Golden Era will likely complain about Charles officiating. For once, Charles did his job. I commend him. Excellent work. You, my friend, deserve a raise. Bravo.
Pierce gives Charles a round of applause.
Pierce Manning:
Enough about the golden losers, what about me?
A burning question on everyones mind is with this being the final Riot before Hic Sunt Leones; what will Pierce Manning do to entertain himself? I could answer the open challenge Henri laid out on Twitter... we’ve kicked each others asses enough. I’m a forward thinking guy. I could challenge Eliza Foley. I could stake my claim at another MENTV Championship match, nah, old hat. Truthfully, I don’t know what prominent match awaits me at Hic Sunt Leones. Far as I know, Neil Newman doesn’t have anything to do. How about you Kyle? You were whining about having me beat. It wouldn’t be a challenge to beat the weak link of the Glorious Golden Era. Boys. You want to challenge greatness? I’m not busy.
Pierce winks. He grabs his wine glass. Takes another sip. Rest the glass back down.
Pierce Manning:
Don’t worry, haven’t forgotten about you Tank. Still mad I hit you in the groin back in Georgia? Not my fault you didn’t wear a cup comrade. For some ungodly reason you and Glory... both who I beat in one on one action by the way; had a match to decide who would challenge for the World Championship next. Um, what have you accomplished in MWE to get that opportunity. Did you defend the MENTV Championship five times? No. Did you hold the top belt on the Riot brand? Answer is no. We’ve already gone over you losing to me in Georgia. I am not the biggest Kyle fan, the guy did beat you to advance to the finals of the Sandstorm tournament, Tank. You being given that prestigious opportunity over me is not cool. Beating you tonight should move me one step closer to the World title since management thought you were good enough for the opportunity. Makes sense to me.
Pierce shrugs.
Pierce Manning:
Nothing is stopping me from climbing the ladder. No man, woman or tank can stand in my way. By the end of the night, you learn the same lesson that blinded you in the face in Georgia... that Pierce Manning is THE MAN. Then. Now. And forever.
Pierce goes back to sipping his wine as the scene fades to black.
Singles Match
Tank Steiner VS Pierce ManningThe referee called for the bell and the former Riot champion was on the attack with a raised knee to Tank’s midsection. Caught by surprise, the big man doubled over and Manning clubbed him across the back of the head with multiple heavy forearm strikes.. Herr Steiner eventually dropped to the ring mat with a heavy thud, and before he managed to scramble back to his feet, Pierce wrapped his arms around the man’s neck in a tight front headlock, delivering some knee strikes to the face while pushing him back into the ropes. As soon as he got him there, the official stepped up between the two of them asking Pierce to back down. The Man did as asked, or at least pretended he did before slapping the Austrian Hulk’s chest with a resounding chop. Tank took it as a challenge and grabbed Pierce by the shoulders, shoving him into the nearby corner where he hit him with one of his infamous chops, leaving a huge red handprint on Manning’s chest. As he often does, Tank then demanded the fans to go silent, readying himself to deliver a second big chop. Manning ducked it this time and swiftly moved behind Tank’s back, driving his head against the top turnbuckle multiple times before attempting a german suplex on the 340 pounder. It wasn’t easy, but eventually he succeeded, firing himself up upon completion of the incredible feat of strength, yelling “Who’s The Man?” at the booing fans. The member of the Triumvirate then made the cover, but Tank kicked out with authority in one and half. The pair locked up in the center of the ring, Manning drove his knee into Tank’s midsection after a brief few seconds and then she threw him over to the ropes with an Irish whip. Herr Steiner blocked the attempt by simply putting his weight down and planting his feet. Pierce gave it another try but the result was the same, As he yanked a third time, Tank pulled as well, dragging the former Riot champion into a lariat. Using his strength the Austrian Hulk lifted Pierce in a powerbomb position. The Greenwich born tried to fight back by dropping some punches to Tank’s head, but it only pissed him off more. Rather than dropping him on the canvas, Tank threw him into the corner, leveling him with Das Boot. The cover attempt only gave him a two count, but that didn’t deter the Austrian. He went for the Giant Swing, getting twenty rotations in before dropping the dazed Manning on the mat. Tank felt confident enough to end things with Der Große Kaboom, but his diving moonsault found nobody home, giving Pierce the opportunity to make his comeback, insisting on the chest and ribs area that must have been sore after the missed attempt. Kicks and knees mostly, but some submissions as well such as an abdominal stretch accompanied by forearms strikes dropped to the ribcage. His irish whip attempt was successful this time and Manning followed through, catching the Austrian Hulk with a kitchen sink as he rebounded off the ropes. Pierce made the cover, even leaning onto the ropes for extra leverage but couldn’t get the job done. Unlike Tank earlier, Manning showed some signs of frustration, and that led him to make a mistake, missing the running splash and hitting the corner chest first, bouncing back into another Austrian suplex. Two more followed without Tank breaking the waist hold and after the third, the big man applied his Morgen In Traktion (Texas cloverleaf). Manning’s lower back went through a lot tonight, too much to withstand the incredible amount of pressure Steiner put him through. After a brief fight, Pierce gave up and tapped out. WINNER: Tank Steiner BY: Submission (Morgen In Traktion), 12:21 |

We open backstage in the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina. Inside of one of the dressing rooms we find “The British Bombshell” Glory Braddock stretching in preparation for her match tonight against Triumvirate member Megan Monroe. Seated on a nearby bench watching her carefully are her friends and closest of allies, Sophie O’Brian and Sophie’s older brother Mark O’Brian.
Sophie O’Brian:
Does it feel good to be home, Gloria?
Glory Braddock:
Huh?
Mark O’Brian:
I thought she was from London?
Sophie rolls her eyes, clearly annoyed with her brother, and then smacks Mark in the back of his head.
Sophie O’Brian:
That isn’t what I meant, you dim-bulbed dimwit.
The British Bombshell chuckles as she rises to her feet and approaches Sophie.
Glory Braddock:
Don’t be so hard on him, mate, especially when he’s right. What connection do I have to South Carolina?
Sophie O’Brian:
Maybe not South Carolina specifically but you do have a connection to the Carolinas. Your own wrestling promotion was founded right here in the Carolinas. I imagine you will get a hero’s welcome when you go out there and face that brasser Megan Monroe tonight. Perhaps not the kind of reaction you would receive in your home nation of England or your current residence in Miami, but your business worked wonders for the Carolina economy. These people won’t forget it.
Braddock shrugs her shoulders before sitting down on the bench next to Sophie.
Glory Braddock:k
Sure, but what does that have to do with anything?
Sophie O’Brian:
If there is one thing you are better at than I am it is turning the crowd reaction into motivation. When they cheer you, it inspires you to fight tougher, harder, and to survive anything. Even when they boo you, those boos motivate you to fight to prove them wrong. Tonight these fans will be on your side. Use it to your advantage, my friend.
Glory sighs deeply and nods her head.
Glory Braddock:
I do admit that it is good to have the fans on my side, but this fight I am engaged in is bigger than the fans. I may have the fans solidly in my corner tonight against Monroe, but tonight is just one of many skirmishes leading to the final battle for the MWE World Championship. And I am not the only one with fan support vying to be the next MWE World Champion. I am not the only worthy contender for the MWE World Championship.
She holds up four fingers.
Glory Braddock:
There are four others vying to take that MWE World Championship away from Seth Iser and that, Sophie, is what this is all about; what is it that you call this? Total War. This is a total war, scorched earth policy, and everything is fair game and no one is safe especially when the richest prize in the game is at stake. I cannot spend time trying to make friends or endear myself to others. As long as Seth Iser and the Triumvirate has possession of the MWE World Championship then my mission is not over. My mission ends when I topple Iser and become champion. It’s that simple.
Sophie O’Brian:
But if Megan becomes world champion, the title stays within The Triumvirate, does it not?
Braddock shakes her head.
Glory Braddock:
That’s what Meagan thinks, that’s what Seth may think, and that little peon Pierce Manning may think that, hell there are a lot of people who think that, but I am still convinced that when the pressure is on, they will betray each other. I have decades of experience to prove my point and I am not just talking about my own thirteen years experience. This is the experience of my father, Glenn Braddock, who competed for nearly twenty years before a back injury forced him into an early retirement. Experience and history tells me that their greed will get the better of them and whether it is before, or immediately after the scramble cage match for the title, The Trimvirate will be dead.
Braddock rises back to her feet.
Glory Braddock:
And tonight, this match against Megan Monroe, it is just a precursor of things to come. She is good, I will give her that, but she is no Glory Braddock and she never will be.
Braddock puts a hand on Sophie’s shoulder.
Glory Braddock:
And another thing she doesn’t have...friends like you. Like I said, tonight is just one of many skirmishes leading to the final battle and I know you and Mark will be right there with me through it all. Your support is always appreciated.
Sophie O’Brian:
Don’t mention it, mate. You know Mark and I will always have your back. If her friends try anything, we will be there.
The British Bombshell grins from ear to ear.
Glory Braddock:
Good. Then tonight I remind the world exactly what I am capable of, prove to the Triumvirate that their days are numbered, get some much needed momentum back in my corner, but most importantly win one for you. I know you and Megan have a history. I’ll punch her in the mouth for you, how’s that sound?
Sophie O’Brian:
Do me one better and choke the bitch out.
Glory Braddock:
You got it, Sophie.
Braddock walks away with Sophie and Mark watching on with grins on their faces.
Singles Match
Megan Monroe VS Glory BraddockTwo of the contenders to Seth’s World Title squared off in tonight’s headline match. Two weeks ago, they teamed up in a losing effort against the fellow contenders Melissa Reeves and Keelan Jayce, last week they were involved in the main event trios match that saw the Triumvirate triumph over the Glorious Golden Era, not without some controversy. The match started with the two women locking up and Glory taking the early lead thanks to her technical prowess. Taking the former Intercontinental Champion down on the mat, the Best In The World hammered at her with forearms to the back of the head, applying a front chancery. Megan pushed herself up to her feet and tried to get free with some punches to the abdomen, but Braddock maintained the hold, swinging around and dropping her on the mat with a neckbreaker. She quickly moved in position for a cover, but Megan kicked out. Glory hit the ropes and then ducked the clothesline Megan had waiting for her. She bounced against the ropes again as Monroe ran at the ropes on the other side and ducked under Glory’s forearm with a roll, popping up to her feet and jumping on the middle rope rebounding off them with a back elbow to the face. No love lost between them, as the flurry of punches to the face from a mounting position confirmed. It wasn’t long after when Braddock reversed the position, finding herself on top of the opponent, returning the courtesy. Kicks were, of course, the best weapon in Megan’s arsenal, and Glory was well aware of that. Yet, she couldn’t really do much when Monroe began delivering those in spades, swiftly and with pinpoint precision. After obtaining a near fall with a superkick to the kneeling opponent, Megan tried to take Glory’s head off with a roundhouse kick but the former Riot champion ducked it and took her down with a chop block. looking to submit her with the Glorify Thy Name (indian deathlock). Megan cried out in pain and started the long road to the ropes, eventually managing to grab the bottom one, prompting the referee to begin his count. Reluctantly, Glory released her opponent from the hold. The pair both got to their feet; With Monroe favoring the leg, Braddocl had the clear advantage and went for Megi, wrapping her arms around her waist and dropping her on her head with a German suplex. Clutching her head, the former IC champion winced in pain while the Best In The World stood above her, watching with obvious satisfaction and waiting for her to get up to hook her arms and setting her up for The Glorification. Megan pushed her away and freed herself, catching Braddock with the Mega Kick on the rebound off the ropes. She hurt her leg in the process, and it took her longer than usual to make the cover, favoring Glory’s kick out. Pushing through the pain, Monroe stayed on the attack, relying on her left leg to kick the leader of the GGE. Maybe those kicks were less powerful now, but surely they were equally effective. Unfortunately for Megan, the damage to the leg was done and it gave up on her right when she was going for the Monroe Driver. Glory capitalized on that by catching her in mid air and, from a fireman’s carry position, dropping her into a knee strike. Her subsequent attempt at The Glorification was successful, giving her a big win on the last Riot before Hic Sunt Leones. WINNER: Glory Braddock BY: Pinfall (The Glorification), 16:31 |
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page is walking into the Charleston Coliseum. She is on her cell phone.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
Of course. I already have a celebration going on as we speak to celebrate my title victory tonight.
Tiffany pauses and listens to the voice on the other end.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
No, I am not being overconfident. I am simply superior to Alex and the MENTV title belt will look good on my waist rather than those hips that Alex does.
Tiffany pauses and listens to the voice on the other end.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
Look, I have to go. I just got to the arena.
Tiffany hangs up her phone and sets her phone in her Gucci and keeps walking through the backstage area.
“Too Sexy” Tiffany Lynn Page:
Before I say anything about my match tonight. I must say I hope my bestie, James Edwards, is enjoying his week off. This is what happens when you mess with me, James. You get dominated by yours truly and now you get to sit at home as I become the next MENTV champion. As far as you go Alex, everyone knows I am better than you and now it is time for me to take your title belt away from you.
Tiffany walks away.
We see Alex Andrews sitting alone in a locker room, looking quite immersed in her own thoughts. She's suddenly shaken out of her daze by a familiar voice.
Voice:
That belt looks good sitting next to you, champ.
Alex blinks a few times as she wraps her head around hearing that voice here, of all places.
Alex Andrews:
Kallie?
It was indeed, Kallie Reznik. Alex's bestie in wrestling and her former tag team member in their time in OATH. The two don't spend much time around deach other outside of that place and with its hiatus, the face to face hasn't been lately, hence the shock to her system.
Alex Andrews:
Kallie? What are you doing here? Totally wasn't expecting to hear from here, here of all places.
Kallie shrugs and smiles.
Kallie Reznik:
Well, I was in the area on other business and heard you were in the area and it's been too long. And quite frankly, it looks like you could use a smile or two.
It's Alex's turn to shrug as she goes about taping her wrists before her main event title defense.
Alex Andrews:
How's the foot?
Kallie Reznik:
I'll be alright soon, I promise. Just got to take it easy for the time being.
Alex Andrews:
Easier said than done. We both are likely to grind ourselves into the ground without a friendly word here and there. Just go easy, please?
Kallie takes a seat in a chair, trying to prop her foot up slightly.
Kallie Reznik:
I hear you have a big match coming up. Am I right?
Alex Andrews:
Yeah. You remember those catty rich group of girls in OATH?
Kallie nods as she remembers.
Alex Andrews:
Well, after..their manager Tiffany Lynn Page joined the roster.
Kallie Reznik:
Oh yeah. Her. Fun.
Alex Andrews:
Yeah, tell me about it. Now I've had to hear her nonsense from the moment she stepped into the company. And somehow, some way, she managed to become number one contender to that title right there.
Alex nods at the MENTV Championship peeking out of her gym bag. Kallie picks it up and smiles as she looks at it.
Kallie Reznik:
Listen to me, you earned this. You know you did. You had to scratch and claw to get it. I know, I remember hearing about it.
Alex Andrews:
Yeah yeah.
Kallie Reznik:
No, listen to me, Alex. You're champion for a reason. You just have to be ready for anything when Tiffany is involved. You know that, we saw what her and her gaggle of hens did elsewhere. Besides, while she's got tons of experience on you in a ring, I seem to recall her getting easily flustered if things don't go her way. Use that. Use things like that to take her off her game. Remember the clock is on your side. Use the tools you have to keep your advantage. And you'll walk out still champ.
Alex nods and smiles, chest puffed up a little as she regains a small bit of confidence from her little pep talk. She finishes taking her wrists, loosening them up a bit before standing. Alex walks over to Kallie and holds her hand out, promoting Kallie to hand the belt over. Alex grins as she snaps it on around her waist.
Alex Andrews:
Once a Sweet?
Kallie finishes the line, holding out a fist for a fist bump.
Kallie Reznik:
Always a Treat!
Alex grins even bigger as she fist bumps her friend. She pats her on the shoulder as she walks by and heads out the door on her way to her first main event with the company.
MENTV Championship Match
Alex Andrews © VS Tiffany Lynn PageAmy Maynard: “For the third consecutive week, Alex Andrews is defending her MENTV championship. That’s a lot of pressure on the young wrestler.” Sir Figgles: “Yeah, but you know what they say about pressure…” Amy Maynard: “That it’s how diamonds are formed? Sir Figgles: “No, that if you suck or your name is Henri Black, you can’t handle it.” Amy Maynard: “I knew I was going to regret playing into it.” Tiffany Lynn Page had a pretty successful run so far in MWE, holding a win over the champion in a tag match and one just as prestigious over James Edwards last week, earning the right to challenge Alex Andrews. And sure, having to defend the belt for the third week in a row really put a lot of pressure on Lady Limitless, but at the same time puts her one step closer in cashing in her title and challenge for either the Riot or Junior Heavyweight championship. Alex and Tiffany stared down each other from across the ring for a moment until they slowly made their way to the center. Immediately the two locked up, and the champ went for an arm wrench, tightening the hold behind Page’s back. The Primadonna threw an elbow, disorienting the champ. Tiffany quickly ran the ropes and connected with a flying elbow, sending Andrews back pedaling and catching herself on the ropes. Tiffany again bounced off the ropes and on the return catapulted herself for a cross body, but Alex was able to catch her in mid air and drop her down onto the extended knee for a rib breaker. Leaving the challenger laying on the mat, Alex hit the ropes and jumped for a knee drop, hitting nothing but the canvas as Tiffany rolled out of the way. The DIva was quickly up to her feet to swing her leg, catching Alex on the temple with a vicious roundhouse. She dropped down to make the cover she kicked out in two. Amy Maynard: “Tiffany is surely wasting no time.” ”Sir Figgles: “She has none to waste, she must beat the champion in under fifteen minutes or her chance will just evaporate.” Amy Maynard: “Technically in case of a draw, Moretti could extend the match for the remaining TV time.” Sir Figgles: “Yeah but as long as we give airtime to Henri Black, how long do you think we have left? Four minutes? It’s going to take the old man at least two minutes to limp his way out on the stage, so that doesn’t leave much to the two contenders.” Having experienced first hand how dangerous Tiffany can be when left free to use her speed and agility to her advantage, Lady Limitless continued to hold Balfour in his grasp with a grounded headlock, letting the clock run down a bit. Tiffany pulled herself up and broke free with a couple of elbows into the champ’s mid-section but as soon as she sprinted to the opposite side of the ring, Alex grabbed her by the waistband of her tights and pulled her into a waistlock. She shifted her position slightly before connecting the released german suplex, throwing Page into the turnbuckles. Andrews sprung to her feet and stomped away at the fallen Tiffany, leaving her dazed in the corner. Alex quickly ran to the opposite side, bouncing off the ropes and coming back at full speed with a knee to the face. Hooking both legs the champion made the cover, but Tiffany was able to reach the nearby rope with her hand. Amy Maynard: “That was a close one. If Alex pulled Tiffany away from the ropes before making the cover, she might have won the match there and then.” Sir Figgles: “I don’t know about that, but it was a mistake from the champion nonetheless. Ring positioning is not something she should overlook like that.” Still dizzy after the knee to the head, Tiffany rolled out on the apron to recover. Alex could’ve just let her there and let a few more seconds pass, but the first two defenses left somewhat of a sour taste in her mouth and she wanted to prove her worth with a convincing win tonight. But when she went to pick the challenger up, Tiffany dragged her neck down onto the top rope. Alex stumbled back toward the center of the ring, Page instead went to the top rope and connected a diving bulldog for a long count of two. Tiffany argued with the referee's tempo of the count but he didn't budge. She brushed him off and, after checking the timer on the titantron, went back on the attack. The sense of urgency began to creep in as the clock said there was a little over five minutes left to go. Page dropped an elbow then mounted Alex and began pounding away with lefts and rights. Alex tried to block them raising her arms to protection, but she couldn’t get the opponent off her chest. She then rested her foot on the ropes, the official immediately demanding Tiffany to let go but the challenger ignored the warning. After a five count, Page finally let off. The official literally got in her face, making sure she understood this was her last warning. Next time she’ll take a shortcut, he won’t hesitate to disqualify her. Amy Maynard: “Finally a ref that’s not scared to use their authority and enforce the rules. For far too long people like Tiffany considered the rules as mere suggestions and got away with everything.” Sir Figgles: “Yeah yeah… Remember though, it’s only cheating if you get caught.” And Tiffany was an expert on hiding her misdeeds. She distracted the referee with one of the oldest tricks in the book, removing the protective pad from the turnbuckle and while the referee was busy fixing it, she hit the recovering Alex with the brass knuckle, knocking her back into the ropes. She quickly threw the weapon out of the ring, catching Andrews with her Sex In The City and made the cover.
