The Academy Pre-Show Match
Olly VS Tiana Petrova-HammondAs per tradition established on the past pay-per-view, the pre-show hosted a match showcasing the Academy stars, Olly and Tiana were chosen by Gianluigi Vaccaro to open night one and settle their difference on the biggest possible stage. For the past couple of months Olly has been harassing the russian-american apparently for no reason, costing her a couple of matches and generally taunting her at any given chance. A dangerous practice any wise man would advise against, and something Olly instantly regretted doing when the MMA fighter clocked him with a high knee to the chin right off the bat. The sudden hit caught him off guard and caused him to stumble back. Petrova-Hammond was all over him, unleashing a flurry of kicks and elbows and knee strikes and punches, showing off an impressive striking ability. With the Academy year coming to an end in a little over a month and knowing how her status as former Gold Star will earn her a contract and a title shot to be used within a year, this incredible display would surely put the people on the main roster on notice. As for Olly, he took the first chance he had to roll out of the ring, getting away from the former Gold Star’s fury. Tiana looked like a woman possessed, walking past the referee to leave through the ropes and give chase to her opponent. As Olly started running around the ring with Petrova-Hammond following him, you could see a wicked smile forming on his lips. And then, all of a sudden, he stopped and turned around, leveling the young girl with a clothesline. Wasting no time, he dragged her up to her feet and threw her against the barricade. As Tiana was down writhing in pain after her shoulder collided hard against the barrier, Olly walked to her and began to ruthlessly stomp her. The contest was once again inside the ring, and now Olly was in absolute control. The son of the late Reese Kennedy was putting into practice the things he learned from Seth Iser during the seminar the World champion held for the students a few weeks ago. Most notably he perfected the art of using the ring as a weapon, whether that was throwing the opponent into the space between the middle and top rope so that her shoulder would hit the steel post, or simply twisting and yanking her arm around the ropes to get that extra leverage. All this certainly didn’t earn him new fans, but that’s not what he was out here to obtain. His goal was to hurt the opponent and in that aspect, he was being quite successful. Tiana’s left arm was limp against her body, and this affected her striking ability, and therefore her strategy Sure, she could still count on her powerful kicks, but that injured arm was too big of a target for Olly. With an arm drag, he took Tiana down and caused more distress to the Russian-American. He then charged and hit the same shoulder with a soccer kick, applying a fujiwara armbar trying to submit the former Gold Star. It wasn’t easy and she had to push through a lot of pain, but eventually Petrova-Hammonnd wrestled her way out of it. In the final part of the contest the pace slowed down sensibly. Olly was looking to capitalize on all the work done on Tiana’s arm, but submissions weren’t exactly his forte while his opponent excelled in this aspect, managing to escape from a Kimura lock and turning it into a submission of her own. Unlike her, Olly didn’t even try to wrestle his way out of it, yanking at Tiana’s hair instead and forcing the break. The next time the BJJ expert had him locked in a choke, he began to pound at the injured shoulder and Ti had no choice but to let him go. Realizing that the hurting arm lacked the strength to keep any hold locked in for long enough to submit the opponent, Tiana relied once again on her powerful legs. This time though she didn’t use them to kick the crap out of her rival, but to wrap them around his torso in a body scissors. Olly was able to power out of this after a long and exhausting struggle, using his own hands to break up the hold. When he tried to get up though, he was hit by a terrific knee to the face. Olly kicked out in two from the pinning predicament but the Russian-American quickly shifted her position and wrapped her legs around the young man’s head. He started squirming and trying to break free but the more he moved, the stronger the grip was becoming. His only chance was to gather the last remaining energy to put himself in position to deadlift the first ever Gold Star and powerbomb her into the mat. His huge effort was in vain as Tiana was quick to catch him in a triangle choke. And this time, he had no choice but to tap out. WINNER: Tiana Petrova-Hammond BY: Submission (Triangle Choke), 14:21 |
Peyton Holland: "Let me tell you something, Ambra. These kids never fail to deliver."
Ambra Monroe: "You're absolutely right, Peyton. The Academy is proving to be a hotbed for talents."
Peyton Holland: "And in six weeks, we'll have the chance to see them how they'll perform on the main roster."
Ambra Monroe: "That's going to be a breath of fresh air."
Peyton Holland: "And, judging by what we have seen in this and the previous pre-show matches, the folks of Millennium and Riot can consider themselves put on notice."

Cut to the Nightfall Show locker room, where the Junior Heavyweight Champion Leia LeBeau and her boyfriend and tonight’s opponent Donovan Keane looked ready to step inside the cage. The Showgirl had a look of concern on her beautiful features, hard to tell if it was for the dangerous environment she was about to step in or just a discomfort for having to fight her boyfriend.
Donovan Keane:
A penny for your thoughts?
Donnie said as he walked up behind Leia, placing his hands on her shoulders giving her a light massage to relieve some tension. The stress on the Seattle born star’s face was evident, and she was decked out in a stunning Spider Gwen themed outfit, a little twist on the whole ‘Dark Web’ format for the broadcast, but taken in a different way. She closed her eyes, revealed a beautiful web style design painted on her eyelids, as she rested a hand on Donnie’s.
Leia LeBeau:
It’s just a situation I am not used to.
She squeezed his hand lightly, still not turning around to look at him.
Leia LeBeau:
Defending my title against multiple opponents? That I can prepare for, and we have prepared for. Going against opponents who have the momentum, and victories over me? I can use that to better myself, learn from my mistakes. A cage match, with multiple stipulations? Daunting, even scary. But I can prepare for that.
She let out a sigh, now turning to face her beloved face to face, gazing him right in the eyes with worry on her pretty face.
Leia LeBeau:
The Show has to put on a Show, it’s what I was born to do.
She said with a shrug, the fighting Junior Heavyweight Champion who had defined the odds to get where she was today showing a hint of the confidence she had recently shown.
Leia LeBeau:
But facing you? My man? I don’t know if I can do that. What if it comes down to just the two of us? What if we have to compete against each other?
Donovan Keane:
If it goes down to just you and me…
Donnie started responding with a serious look on his face, but it soon faded in the softest of smiles.
Donovan Keane:
I might just hold the door of the cage open for you.
It was a joke, but the sweetness behind it didn’t go unnoticed with the Show. Donnie placed a soft kiss on her forehead pulling her in a brief, comforting hug.
Donovan Keane:
If you and I are the last two in that cage, I expect you to fight with all you have. You said it yourself, you’re the Show and this is what you’re born to do. This is what we both do, I know it’s not an ideal situation and I hate every moment of it, but in this business we have to be prepared for everything, and this is one of those turns we would never have to face… But here we are.
He slowly pulled back to stare in his girlfriend’s eyes.
Donovan Keane:
You’re the Junior Heavyweight champion, and that title requires you to face any and every challenge, no matter how hard it is or how uncomfortable it makes you. You owe it to yourself for everything you went through to get here, to the company you represent and to your fans. Besides, it wouldn’t be the first time you kick my ass…
Leia let out a little laugh, wiping away a tear as Donnie picked up her pink and white spider themed top hat, placing it on her head. LeBeau looked up with a smile, the beautiful Showgirl letting out a sigh.
Leia LeBeau:
Nothing will tear us apart, will it?
She asked, looking down to the championship belt that was wrapped around her waist. Donnie just shook his head at her, his hand still on her shoulder.
Bebe LeBeau:
Pssst. Fight to the death.
Came the voice from behind the camera, causing the couple both to turn towards the lens. The camera seemed to take a couple of steps back, before dropping to the floor as the sound of feet running were heard. The camera seemed to pick up Leia and Donnie chasing after the camera person, clearly Leia’s little sister, Bebe, who could be heard screaming “You’re supposed to be fighting each other! Don’t ruin this!” Then the camera cut away elsewhere.
We cut backstage where we see Matt Stone getting warmed up for his first title match in Millennium, trust me guys, it’s a pretty big deal. He’s already wearing his wrestling attire with the added bonus of a ‘Shut Me Up’ T-shirt. He’s doing some stretches backstage when unbeknownst to him, he’s about to be discovered. Wearing a purple pair of jeans with a matching hairband, and a white tee with a puffer waistcoat is Sabrina Smith visiting Millennium along with her sister Lexie. Lexie wears an almost tailor made leather jacket over her own white, fitted tee. Her jeans were brand new, non-distressed given what happened on Tuesday when she bought them, with a new pair of wedge heel boots. Neither of them competing, but they come across Matt who’s too busy to even notice them approaching. Like we said, it’s a pretty important match he’s preparing for, though when some dust in the air causes Lexie to briefly sneeze off to the side, Matt looks up
Matt Stone:
Uhh...this hallway is occupied, ladies. I’ve clearly got dibs.
Lexie:
Didn’t realize your name was above the doors on this hallway….
Matt Stone:
Did you not look up when you walked in?
Obviously he doesn’t have his name anywhere but still, he’s feeling intruded upon as he starts getting up.
Matt Stone:
I don’t suppose this has anything to do with the fact that Teagan keeps bugging me every week?
Sabrina Smith:
No, we came along because of our own reasons. Lexie came along to see me in action, and I came along to have a looksie at any talent who need representation.
Sabrina then gives Matt a slight nod whereas Lexie chimes in with.
Lexie:
Not sure why you’d think that.
Matt Stone:
You’re not sure why I’d think that? She teams with your crazy family. Seemed like a pretty one plus one equals two to me, though I know math doesn’t exactly run in your family tree.
Lexie:
She teams with Bree, but not tonight though.
Sabrina Smith:
We’re actually on our way to her to wish her luck and check in before the four-way match she’s in.
Matt Stone:
Well isn’t that sweet?
Matt grabs his water bottle off a nearby crate and takes a sip.
Matt Stone:
Why don’t you just bring the whole family next time, make a party out of it?
Sabrina Smith:
Uhhhh, we did that last show. Keep up, Matthew.
Sabrina then helps herself to one of the water bottles and takes a sip herself.
Lexie:
I guess the Stone’s don’t handle that math too well.
As she helps herself to some water, but tucks hers into her handbang. Matt just rolls his eyes at the baseless accusation.
Matt Stone:
Well you didn’t come to visit last time, so why is today so special? Gunna wish me luck on my big match?
Sabrina Smith:
Oh…..errrr……..good luck?
Matt Stone:
Wow. I would have thought you all had cheerleader experience in high school, where’s the pep?
Sabrina Smith:
Wait….why would you have thought I was a cheerleader in high school?
Matt Stone:
Well certainly not by your energy today!
He chuckles to himself, taking another sip of water.
Lexie:
Thirsty today, Matthew.
Lexie casually remarks.
Matt Stone:
Very funny. It just seems like something girls like to do in high school and you both look the type.
Lexie:
Excuse me?
She raises her eyebrows towards him, folding her arms and closes the distance between them.
Matt Stone:
Look me in the eyes and tell me I’m wrong, then.
Lexie:
Wrong.
She quips back without a second delay. Matt shrugs, seemingly unphased by the revelation.
Matt Stone:
Oh well, you missed your calling, Shirley.
Lexie:
It’s Lexie. I’m not a character from Community, Duh.
Sabrina Smith:
I wasn’t either. You’re thinking of Trixie, or Kimi. Definitely not Bree.
Sabrina lightly laughs at the thought of Bree in a cheerleading squad, which is when Bree shows up behind them
Bree Smith:
What’s going on, oh….Hi, Matt.
Matt Stone:
AHA!
Matt shouts at the sight of Bree as if he’s been vindicated.
Matt Stone:
I knew this had something to do with Teagan, whatever you’re up to I’m not falling for it!
After eating an Oreo, Bree pulls a confused face at Matt
Bree Smith:
Dude, are you high right now?
Matt forces a fake laugh.
Matt Stone:
I get it, my last name is Stone so I must be stoned. You’re clearly the comedian of the group. I can see why Teagan and you get along so well.
Bree Smith:
You said “this”, I don’t know what that is by the way, had something to do with Teegs. Don’t know what you’re talking about.
Stone just nods along looking around at the three of them.
Matt Stone:
Uh huh, right. So it’s just a coincidence that on the biggest night of my run here in Millennium you all just show up?
Bree Smith:
What is???
Matt Stone:
I have a title match tonight! How do you not know that?
Bree Smith:
So do I! I meant what does this have to do with Teegs?
Matt Stone:
You’re her tag partner! The BreezyTeezy connection or whatever. I’m on to you...all of you!
Bree Smith:
Hold up for a second.
Bree then heads over to the small catering table and tears off a sheet of tin foil which she shapes into a hat, and plonks it on Matt’s head.
Bree Smith:
There, Now when you’re speaking crazy, that me being in this hallway has something to do with Teegs, at least you got the hat to go with it, Dude.
The hat causes a slight smirk on Lexie, and a straight chuckle from Sabrina, though it doesn’t last longer than a second on top of Matt’s head before it’s thrown off.
Bree Smith:
But the “BreeTee Committee” aren’t in action. It’s Bree and Teegs against each other, and Leia and Donovan, who Teegs and I both know. Luna kinda knows Leia, so I’ve picked her brain a bit about what to look out for. You’re looking at the new Junior Heavyweight Champion, Matthew. So get the tag team name right.
As she prods his chest a little in a playful, competitve way
Lexie:
And don’t start picturing Bree in a cheerleader outfit either.
Matt Stone:
So you’re going to beat Teagan tonight, if you plan on winning of course. Well that would be amusing.
He turns his head back to Lexie for a second.
Matt Stone:
And I wouldn’t think Bree was a cheerleader, she actually looks athletic. If I had to guess, I’d say she was track and field in high school with a secondary interest in soccer.
Bree Smith:
And basketball, and football. Baseball, I could go on but I’m not wasting any time to get last minute prep done since I’m up against my own tag partner. Donovan, and Leia. Too important.
As Bree helps herself to some water and the Smith girls make their exit past him and out of Matthew Stone Hallway when Mimi Smith comes by from the doors with teal basebal cap fitted with bubblegum soda either side. She gets caught by a little dust and stops in her tracks to sneeze, twice. Once she got her composure she calls out.
Mimi Smith:
Wait up!
Then she notices Matt’s hat and clicks her tongue at him with a finger gun.
Matt Smith:
Nice hat, Matt.
Before she catches up with her family. Matt steps on the hat as if to make a point as Mimi rushes passed.
Matt Stone:
I don’t even like hats!
Junior Heavyweight Championship Match
Xscape Match
Leia LeBeau © VS Donovan Keane VS Teagan Gallagher VS Bree SmithXscape Match
A first time ever stipulation for a match that, more than any other, raised some eyebrows when it was first announced. A tag team and a couple locked inside a cage, but it was every person for themselves tonight, with the Junior Heavyweight championship on the line. The rules, as explained by Rumchata Ayano, were quite simple. The first two eliminations must happen by submission or pinfall, leaving the last two opponents to fight for the coveted prize. At that point, the only way to win is by, as the name suggests, escaping the structure. Donnie whispered something in his girlfriend’s ear before the start of the match. As the bell sounded, he went straight for Bree, leaving Teagan to Leia. The unexpected charge took the former tag champion off guard, and she found herself pinned to the corner while Donnie delivered a flurry of kicks. Teagan instead was able to stay away dodge the champion’s initial burst of offense and take her down with a leg scissors. Much like it happened in their first encounter a few weeks ago, Galllagher’s superior technique allowed her to wear down LeBeau and limit her offense. The first near fall came around minute four when Donnie dropped Bree on top of her head with a spectacular wristlock springboard moonsault ddt. One minute later, Teagan almost eliminated the champion with a beautiful bridging northern lights suplex but Donovan Keane dove in to break it up. The initial shock only lasted a moment, then everyone realized how it actually made sense that he’d get his girlfriend’s back. Though this was a source of problems for the young man, more so when he was left alone against the BreeTee as Leia was recovering from a close encounter with the unforgiving structure. The former Tag Team champions decided to work together to take out Donnie, so that he could no longer come to Leia’s rescue. The duo dropped Keane with the sandwich piledriver and Bree was the one making the cover, but the referee’s hand stopped inches away from slamming on the canvas for a third time as Donovan was able to raise his shoulder in time. They picked him up and took turns to chop him on the chest, starting a sort of challenge between them to see who was hitting him harder. The champion finally recovered and blasted Bree with a forearm to the jaw, starting to unleash a flurry of kicks to the powerhouse. Seeing his girlfriend fighting next to him gave Donnie the boost he needed to make his comeback and turn the tides. The Nightfall Show was fighting side by side, hitting the respective opponents with kicks and forearm strikes that left Bree and Teagan stunned in the middle of the ring. The couple exchanged a quick look and both of them went for a superkick, both of them aiming at Bree. As Smith went down, they did the same to Teagan and then attempted a double cover, looking to eliminate the opponents at once and settle this between them in the second part of the match. But the opponents kicked out before the three, and they were back to square one. The first elimination came as a bolt from the blue. Gallagher had Donnie in the corner and she rocked him with several elbow strikes. Then she took a few steps back, waiting for him to stumble toward her and hooking his leg for the Gallagher’s Way (exploder suplex). Keane was able to somehow roll her up and grab her by the tights to get some extra leverage, catching Teegs by surprise and eliminating her from the match. She tried to protest with the referee but it was to no avail. The other half of the BreeTee almost followed her right away as Leia kicked her head off with a roundhouse after the Show Kicks (shoot kicks to the chest). This match became pretty much a two on one now, the Nightfall show looking to put down Smith and move together to the escape-only phase. But Bree was resisting, putting up a great fight against the duo and their combined attacks. She blocked Donovan’s punch and headbutted him, bending forward and showing great flexibility to duck Leia’s kick to the head and take her down with a lariat. Bree picked up the champion and threw her head first into the cage, turning around to a charging Keane. She launched him in the air and powerbombed him down with great force, making the cover and, despite Leia’s desperate attempt to save her boyfriend, scoring the second elimination. It all boiled down to this, Leia and Bree fighting for the Junior Heavyweight championship. And the Showgirl was on the backfoot, dealing with a cut on the forehead that wouldn’t stop bleeding and was hindering her vision. Smith wasn’t going easy on her for this, looking instead to capitalize on the moment to climb the cage and take the title from Leia. She was halfway on her climb to gold when Leia grabbed her ankle and yanked her down, catching her with a superkick before Bree touched ground. This bought her enough time to escape, or so she thought. Smith pulled her back down with a powerbomb, leaving the champion flattened on her back. Both of them looked exhausted, the match had been long and, although not as brutal as other cage matches in the company’s history, very physically demanding. Especially for the champion, who bled buckets from that deep cut. Bree left her writhing in pain after her trademark backbreaker reps and walked to the nearby corner, climbing to the top of the turnbuckle and continuing her ascent. Leia felt the urgency of the moment and started digging down deep, finding the energy to pick herself up and run to the corner, jumping to hit Bree on the lower back. Wanting to avoid another fall from that height, knowing it could be fatal for her chances to win the title, Bree climbed down and prepared herself to take on LeBeau. But the champion was already on the attack, charging with a full head of steam and hitting Bree with the Jet City Jive as soon as she turned around. Slowly, but steadily, Leia made her way to the top of the cage, letting herself fall on the outside where she found Donnie waiting for her. The camera stayed on the young couple as they lingered in a sweet embrace, picking up Donovan repeating over and over how proud he was of his girl. WINNER: Leia LeBeau (STILL JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION) BY: Cage Escape, 18:40 |
Amy Maynard: "She did it! Leia retained the title at the end of an incredible match! WHat a way to kick off Dark Web III!! And what an emotional moment we're witnessing now."
Sir Figgles: "Love is in the air here in Phoenix... And it's making me want to puke."
Amy Maynard: "You're unbelievable.. How can you be so insensitive?"
Sir Figgles: "It's my job, and miss Showgirl-With-The-Cute-Little-Top-Hat's job is to kick whoever gets put in front of her. Including her loser boyfriend."
Amy Maynard: "Pretty sure she would have, if she had to. But the match went a different way, one that ended with her escaping the cage and mantaining the Junior Heavyweight Championship."

Backstage near the entrance of the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, Arizona we find the trio of Glory Braddock, Sophie O’Brian, and Sophie’s older brother Mark O’Brian. Glory and Sophie both have matches tonight but it is still early and neither are dressed to compete yet. Braddock is wearing black knee length skirt, black high heel pumps, and a royal purple blouse. Sophie is dressed much simpler; in denim jeans, boots, and a black t-shirt. Mark O’Brian is carrying the bags of Glory and Sophie, following them closely behind as the two ladies discuss the night’s events.
Glory Braddock:
This is a big night for all of us, you know that?
Sophie chuckles.
Sophie O’Brian:
It is a big night for you, my friend. Tonight is your first step towards becoming a World Champion for the sixteenth time in your illustrious career. For someone like me? This is just another day in the office.
Glory Braddock:
Don’t say that, mate. James Edwards and Alan Envy are both hungry and both good competitors. Beating them will put you right back into contention.
O’Brian smiles warmly.
Sophie O’Brian:
Perhaps. But I am content to wait until my time has come.
Sophie turns to face Glory and places a hand on her shoulder.
Sophie O’Brian:
But make no mistake about it, tonight is your night. If you need Mark or myself to watch your back, just say the word.
Braddock shakes her head.
Glory Braddock:
Hopefully that won’t be necessary. I would hope that Tank would want to try to win this on his own merit, but when you have wankers like the Triumverate and others running amuck, you never know what may happen. But Kyle Butler, fellow Glorious Golden Era member, he is facing a member of the Bad Boyz, and we know Marcus Ali Jr will not fight a match on his own. I’m sure you and Mark will be needed...if Kyle wants your help, that is.
Sophie O’Brian:
Of course.
The British Bombshell grins from ear to ear.
Glory Braddock:
Tonight the Glorious Golden Era reasserts itself. And tonight I take my first step towards becoming a sixteen time World Champion.
Braddock, Sophie, and Mark walk off.
Backstage here at Dark Web III we find ourselves watching a sore Olly exiting the medical area, having been forced to get a check up after his defeat earlier in the night. The look of disappointment is clear on his face as he massages his neck, his hair a mess of black curls covering his face. He heads down the hall for a moment before turning into a awaiting Karen Eldon. With her match on night two she is instead wearing a white V-Neck bodysuit with black leather pants on.
Karen Eldon:
You beat her ninety nine times out of ten, she got lucky. Don’t you dare get down about that match Olly.
Stopping on his tracks, Olly glances at his beer pong partner and perhaps biggest supporter. A forced smile appears on his lips as he nods at Karen.
Olly:
Thanks Karen. I don’t think luck has much to do with it though, she played it smart. That choke hold was the only card she had left, I should’ve seen it coming.
As the last moments of his match replay in his mind, the young student shakes his head. All that effort to escape the submission only to get caught in another one right away. As much as he seems to be blaming himself, that was more a testament to Tiana’s ability than a mistake on his part.
Karen Eldon:
Put it behind you, you are still the best student in the Academy. And soon enough you’ll be a top star on the big show. Don’t let this one loss get you down. You are going to end up being way more successful than Tiana or anyone else.
Putting a comforting hand on his shoulder doing her best to try to soothe him during what wasn’t the night he probably wanted it to be.
Olly:
Thank you Karen.
He replies to the woman.
Olly:
I don’t know about being the best though, I have no problems admitting that Faith and Tiana are better wrestlers than me..
Obligatory shoutout to his best friend, and Karen doesn’t seem surprised to hear him saying that Faith is better than him. She frowns lightly as she hears Tiana’s name instead.
Karen Eldon:
Listen you know I have come around on Faith...But you are still way more talented than anyone else in that Academy. And way, way more talented than Tiana. You’ll be up on the big show soon, And just think, you won’t be held captive at the Academy any more. You can party every night if you want to.
Olly:
Ha! For real, partying is something I definitely miss.
The smirk on his face slowly fades as he looks up at Karen.
Olly:
And I know what you think, but Tiana is no slouch and she confirmed it tonight. Nobody should sleep on her and what she’s capable to do, especially you… In little over a month, she’ll be out of The Academy too, and I think she has your name written in bold on top of her list.
Not seeming the least bit scared about Tiana, Karen scoffs off the notion that she would need to be worried.
Karen Eldon:
I am at the top of most of people’s lists. Comes with being the center of attention. You’ll find out soon enough how that is. I am here for any advice you need and to watch your back. If you’ll watch mine...
Giving him a wink while leaning in to give him a little side hug for support during his rough night. Olly hugs back the woman and nods.
Olly:
I appreciate it, Karen. And you know I’ll have your back. You’ve always been very supportive since day one, it’s the least I can do.
Karen Eldon:
It helps you are so cute. Now keep your head up. You got a Grade A contract to win.
Heartened by the woman’s words, Olly seems to be back to his usual confident demeanor now.
Olly:
And you know there’s nothing I won’t do to get it.
Karen Eldon:
Let’s go grab dinner.
Having gotten Olly picked up a bit the two walk off together heading out for the night.
First Blood Match
Kyle Butler VS Marcus Ali Jr.
Kyle Butler had no love for the Bad Boyz, that much was well-established. Ever since the Bad Boyz started messing with his wife Jessica, the former Tag Team champion had been wanting to teach them a lesson, and tonight he finally had the chance to do so. As soon as the bell sounded the two began to trade stiff punches. The stipulation chosen by the fans granted them a certain liberty to use closed fists that otherwise wouldn’t be allowed and they both had no qualms doing so. Who knows? A lucky shot might as well end the match early. That didn’t happen and the two kept trying to punch each other to the face, but truth being told, most of their strikes never hit the intended target. Ali raised his knee into Kyle’s midsection and doubled him over, then he grabbed Butler by the shoulder and unceremoniously threw him through the ropes, bringing the fight to the outside. He left the ring as well, jumping off the apron with a double axe handle to Kyle’s head, knocking the Golden Era member down as soon as he got up to his feet. Marcus pulled out a chair from under the ring skirt and smashed it on Kyle’s head but the Alabama born rolled out of the way. Marcus managed to keep hold on the chair despite the kickback, looking to strike again. From the ground, Kyle kicked it away and then kicked again, this time aiming at Marcus’ knee. Down he went to one knee while Butler stood up and planted him with a ddt on the floor. The impression the fans had was that none of the wrestlers wanted to take this back in the ring, And why would they, the chances to cause the opponent to bleed were higher out there. Kyle tried to achieve the goal by slamming Marcus’ head into the steel post but Ali was able to protect himself with his arm, cushioning the impact. He countered with a mule kick and then lifted Butler with a flapjack, dropping him onto the steps. Kyle hit them face first, but luckily for him the impact didn’t cut his skin. It did, though, leave him stunned and Marcus took the chance to blast him with a whirlwind of punches to the ribs, backing him into the barricade. A running big boot sent Kyle tumbling over the barricade and into the fans, some of them even helped him back to his feet. Butler then grabbed the drink one of them was holding and tossed it on Ali’s face, standing on the edge of the guardrail and jumping with a missile dropkick that sent the Bad Boy into the steel steps. The referee went to check if the impact against the cold steel busted Marcus open, signaling with broad gestures that the match could continue. Was anybody really surprised to see Khalil Washington III coming to help his partner? Not a single one of the fans, not the commentators and not even Kyle. He leveled Marcus with a lariat and dared Khalil to get in the ring and get his share. Obviously he didn’t have to ask twice. KW3 slid into the ring and found the former tag champion waiting for him with a series of stomps to the back and the head. It didn’t affect the Bad Boy much as he still got up to his feet and brought the fight to the former tag champion. Kyle held his own against the much fresh adversary until a chair shot to from behind killed his momentum. Butler turned around to see Ali taunting him with the steel chair in hands, telling the Alabama born man that this was what he got for messing with the Bad Boyz. Washington blocked Kyle’s arm holding him in position while his partner raised the chair to slam it on Butler’s skull. With a quick mule kick right between Khalil’s legs, Kyle broke free and moved out of the way one millisecond before the chair would have hit him. It connected to Washington’s head instead, causing him to instantly bleed. Kyle exploited that momentary shock in Marcus to grab his legs for a double leg takedown, followed by a flurry of punches to the face. The chair was there at his disposal, and Butler didn’t hesitate to pick it up with a grin on his face. The fans lost the count of how many times he drove it down on Ali, taking out all the frustration accumulated in months. By the time he was done though, the chair was dented to the point it was barely identifiable as a chair. Kyle dropped it on the canvas and dragged his opponent up to his feet. Ali was barely standing, but no trace of blood on him. Not until Kyle dropped him on the chair with the Rooooooooooooooooooolllll TIDE!! WINNER: Kyle Butler BY: First Blood, 12:06 |
Ambra Monroe: "Revenge is a dish best served cold, and Kyle tasted it thoroughly tonight."
Peyton Holland: "Not only did he beat his scheduled opponent, but he got some payback on Khalil as well. Great night for the master of the Roll Tide."
Ambra Monroe: "This is a huge setback for the Bad Boyz though. They came in as an unstoppable force, having their strength in numbers sure, but still... And now they seem to be losing the way, I wonder what's next for them."
Peyton Holland: "No idea, but all I can say is that Karma is a bitch."

Not backstage but on the sunny beach in Miami is a pre-recorded vignette with Luna Smith. Five clips are shown in a monstage style of Luna enjoying then being served a drink, the Star of the Night coming up from the water and brushing the water off her face, her spiking a volleyball down onto the sand, Luna flinging a frisbee, and enjoying a little ice-cream on a luxury towel.
Then, Luna is sat in a shady area. Two guys come in with a tray of drinks, the other a tray of mini appetiser, while another three continue to set up what appears to be a personal two person cabana.
A man with caramel colored skin that is both radiant and glowing appears. He peruses at Luna for several moments.
Luna was used to having men gawk at her, but this individual was slightly different. He was actually allowed to do it, and it didn’t make it weird or creepy.
Why?
His name was Alessandro Quagliaterre, and he was Luna’s boyfriend.
Alessandro Quagliaterre:
YOOOOOOOO… Luna WTF?!? You look like an absolute snack out here. Towel up!
Luna Smith:
It’s too hot. Besides I’ll have the Lockdown championship to go right here after I get through Dusty and his…
Luna references her own waist when it comes to the championship, but then puts on a mocking tone to imitate her opponent.
Luna Smith:
5 count match
Alessandro Quagliaterre:
Wait? Hold up! You’re facing that twink Dustin Douglas? The same Dustin Douglas that dubs himself The Murder Train because he’s meant to be a badass powerhouse that absolutely wrecks everyone. Yet in reality the only thing he could wreck is his reflection in the mirror? Yoo that dude be creeping up on people like a slimy lizard. He’s got no game, don’t let him slap your ass when you’re rolling around on the mat, he’s probably into that freaky sort of shit. Don’t let him get that soup Luna. You feel me?
Luna shudders at even the thought of that happening to her.
Luna Smith:
He better not or we’ll be in touch with that lawyer we met at our housewarming party. Anyway, I feel it will be nice to have the Lockdown title back with it’s best stipulation ever; 15 minutes of Stardom. It got the ratings, it got the fans hungry to see who could hang with me for that time.
Alessandro Quagliaterre:
Sue him? Haha Luna you funny af. Sure we could do that, but an easier way to really shut him up is for you to put your boot up his ass. Not literally, I cannot stress this enough. Figuratively, metaphorically.
He taps his head with his finger, a screw may have been loose, or he was just very theatrical with hande gestures.
Alessandro Quagliaterre:
I’m a man. I know how we think, and what our weak spots are. You really want to get Dogshit Dutty Douglas down in the dumps. It’s not rocket science. Tune up the band, and then do what you do best. Kick him as hard as you possibly can, so hard that the rock-like exterior which he has created for himself crumbles to pieces, and shatters to the ground. You kick him hard, and you kick him so good, that his nuts literally fall off because you kick him right in the groin. In the crown jewels. I promise you, you do that, and he will be done for. Done diddily done for! I’m telling you!
Luna Smith:
Please don’t say “diddily” again.
Alessandro faceplams in a momentary embarrassment emoji face as Luna finishes a sip of her cocktail.
Luna Smith:
I’ve defeated big guys like him before in Millennium, so we’ll call your plan, Plan B, Boo. We’re both wealthily aware I have more stamina than him. I can cut him down to size, to his probably weak knees and let him see who’s next in line for the Lockdown Championship….or the Lockdown Tiara, since I’d rather have a brand new jewel instead of having that strap touch me. Have you seen the state of some of the past champions let alone Dusty’s body touching it? No, I’d rather have my own thing. A crown fit for a star.
Alessandro eyes almost pops out of his face when Luna mentions about her well versed stamina. He tries to keep it as appropriate as possibly, even though all he would rather do right now, is take Luna back to their home, and help her to train with some extensive cardio. To further increase that stamina. Not on a treadmill.
Alessandro Quagliaterre:
Don’t say Crown. Dutty Dingo Dusty Douglas will think it’s pearly. Lockdown Tiara. That sounds way better, you can even make it glitter like when you make it rain on him and hit your version of The Sparkle Splash. Make the fake prince Abdicate away from his belt of glory, and watch as the Queen that you are, arises to her rightful throne. Slaying like a boss Luna! YOU GOT THIS!
Luna Smith:
That’s right! Make sure you have a few places booked out for my Lockdown celebration tour. I want to wear my Lockdown tiara to all the 5 star places.
And Luna then passes AQ her empty drink, stands up and heads out to tan for her Millennium appearance.
We see the backside of the greatest Lockdown champion of the world, Dusty Douglas, getting ready in the locker room. And not back side like his butt, but like the side of his actual back...freaking perverts. He slides a t shirt on and turns to face the camera. The shirt reads "No Gimmicks Needed"
Dusty, looking down at his new shirt, available for purchase at MWEshop.com, finally speaks-
Dusty Douglas:
Like what you see? Of course you dont. I am what you want to be. I am living the dream you want to live. I am doing what you cannot. I feel your petty jealousy, and it fuels me. You people, the MWE fan base ain't the only people jealous of The Murder Train, who as it seems is right on schedule for his first of many, many title defenses and wins tonight.
We got ourselves a good old fashion 5 count stipulation. But I have to laugh...because there is no one...NO ONE that can even get a 3 count on me, what makes you jabronis think you can keep me down for 5?
On the flip side, 3 seconds, 5 seconds, one minute, it doesn't matter. When the Murder Train rides through you, only destruction and defeat are left. Luna is my first stop of many destinations on this Murder Train ride.
And unlike some of the past champions, I plan to defend MY title in MY wing any and every chance I get. I plan to rack huge numbers of wins as I bring a certain prestige and hype to a title belt that hasn't had a decent champion yet.
Hell...I'm bringing prestige and hype to a fed that besides me, has no other decent champions, wrestlers, production crew, nothing.
The intern is kinda cute though.
He grabs his lockdown title and holds it up
Dusty Douglas:
I earned this doing what no other person could do. I went through literally the biggest completion MWE had and proved that I am THE greatest super heavyweight that has ever wrestled here. And soon...I'm gonna prove and validate what everyone else knows but are afraid to say out loud.
Dustin Douglas is the greatest champion that MWE has ever had and will ever have.
You know why pisses me off the list about all this? These jabronis in MWE and even professional wrestling in general, they can't embrace talent and instead hide behind stupid gimmicks.
Some are sexy thots, some are drunk Merican loving gun nuts, others are super smart and methodical and won't ever shut up about it. It's sickening and makes me want to vomit.
But the Murder Train...all I do is go out into MY ring in front of MY fans and defend MY title each and every time.
No gimmick needed here.
He reaches over and grabs a can of delicious, nutritious cherry limeade flavored Sandstorm, shot guns it and crushes it with his head before grabbing the Lockdown title of the world and heading to the ring
Lockdown Championship Match
Dusty's Rule: 5 count
Dusty Douglas VS LunaDusty's Rule: 5 count
The Murder Train didn’t seem to worried about Luna, or by the fact that the Star Of The Night came to the ring accompanied by her hird muscles, the massive West Long. And why would he fear anything? He’s the Murder Train, and he’s still undefeated in singles competiton. Nobody has ever been able to keep him down for three seconds, what are the chances they manage to do it for a count of five? No matter how huge the task in front of her seemed to be, Luna was eager to get some gold around her waist, and she wasn’t leaving any stone unturned. She started the match the obvious way, quick striked, constantly moving around the big man not giving him any point of reference. Her long legs and the Krav Maga background came in handy, allowing Luna to keep herself at safe distance and land some strikes that, in all honesty, Dustin barely seemed to feel. West kept guiding and spurring her on, even trying to get the Phoenix crowd behind the Star Of The Night as she started to build some momentum with her striking combinations. But there was no love for Luna in Arizona (and most likely anywhere else), and they remained pretty cold in her regards, only coming alive as Douglas blocked her leg and threw her across the ring with an exploder suplex. Yes, people were likely cheering on the Murder Train than Luna, and Dusty himself seemed to be surprised by it. They chanted for him as he hit Smith with a flurry of palm strikes, buzzed in anticipation as he sent her in the corner with an irish whip and expressed their disappointment when his running knee strike found nobody home. After hitting the top turnbuckle with his knee, Douglas turned around and stomped his foot on the canvas to shake some feelings back in his leg. He surely felt Luna’s kicks that hit him hard on the lateral part of the knee. More followed before Luna lifted his heavy leg and wrapped it around the middle rope. The referee tried to warn her not to do it but she still kicked him on the medial. Before she could do it again though, the official moved in front of her and spared more punishment to the Big Nasty. West Long wasn’t much of a factor in the match. The Warwolf was behaving, limiting himself to watch as Douglas was now disposing of the challenger. Insisting on that leg didn’t pay off for Luna, who was caught by the Murder Train by the neck and chokeslammed into the canvas. It was an escalation of violence from that moment on, with Dustin becoming more and more aggressive, dominating the former Lockdown champion with raw power. Elbow strikes to wear her down and various suplexes and body slams turned the tides in Dustin’s favor, his pinning predicaments now constantly going over the three count. But tonight that wasn’t enough to win the match, He needed to do something to keep her down for a little longer. The King Kai powerbomb into the turnbuckle might just have done the trick, or at least this is what West thought as he deemed necessary to interfere. He didn’t do anything that could prompt a disqualification for Luna, of course, limiting himself to climb on the apron and distract the Murder Train and, most importantly the referee. This bought Luna some precious seconds to recover and, unseen by the referee, to kick Dustin from the ground, right between his legs. He then grabbed the waistband of his trunks and pull him into the turnbuckle while she slid between his legs to reappear behind his shoulders for a quick roll-up. So close to three, yet so far to win the title from the big man. Right after the ten minutes mark Luna had her greatest chance to take the title off Dustin when her Starstorm (discus spinning roundhouse) caught the big man right on the side of the head. He went down like a ton of bricks, and the Star Of The Night saw the opportunity to climb to the top rope and connect with her finishing maneuver, the Stardom sparkle splash. Douglas kicked out right after the three and for a moment Luna believed she did it. The realization kicked in almost immediately, and she went back on the attack, taking a run to the ropes and charging at him at full speed. Dusty lifted and slammed her into the canvas with a devastating spinebuster, dropping his whole 290 pounds on Luna with a running senton. She kicked out in four, and Douglas dragged her up to her feet for some Muay Thai knee strikes from a clinch position. Luna was definitely rocked by the time he was done with her, standing groggily in front of the Murder Train who ran through her with a huge clothesline. Luna tried to react quickly, getting up to her feet only to be leveled by a savate kick. This time the cover gave him a four and half. Dustin’s frustration seemed to grow as he couldn’t keep the resilient Luna down, He took it to the referee, asking him if he was even able to count to five. And he almost paid for it as Luna caught him with a springboard enziguri, getting another near fall. But the undefeated streak of the Murder Train didn’t end in Phoenix tonight. All he needed to do was to end her kicking sequence with his Hyper Beam and hoist her up for the high angle rock bottom known as Giga Impact to get the conclusive five count. WINNER: Dustin Douglas (STILL LOCKDOWN CHAMPION) BY: Pinfall (Giga Impact), 13:28 |
Sir Figgles: "My man Dustin! I never had any doubt, I knew he was going to win it. And you know why?"
Amy Maynard: "Fine, I'll take the bait... Why?"
Sir Figgles: "Sandstorm Energy™ of course! That's the drink of champions!"
Amy Maynard: "Are you still getting paid for advertising? Even now that Hearst is no longer around?"
Sir Figgles: "I'm sure the check is just late.. Six weeks, it's no big deal really. It happens all the time..."
Amy Maynard: "Riiiiiight. Let's move on with the show, alright?"
Sir Figgles: "Thank you."

Earlier in the day and high in the cheap seats James Edwards lay on his back with his eyes closed.
James Edwards:
I wasn't gonna get any peace before the show, was I?
He stretches and takes a deep breath.
James Edwards:
Don't worry, I'm not gonna bite anybody's head off this week.
"The Burning Heart" is calmer than normal.
James Edwards:
I ain't gonna lie to y'all I'm still pissed about my last fight. I hate to lose, but I can usually get over it in a few days.
He sits up.
James Edwards:
I can't shake this one, man. I can't lose to a guy like that. I can't lose to a man that holds me in that much contempt. I can't lose to a man that's arrogance enough to brush off the fact that he barely survived me.
He won't say the name. Pettiness is the moral victory he forced himself to swallow.
James Edwards:
Listen, I know I took em' to the limit and that I was close as hell to the win. That's normally something to be proud, but I can't and I won't because I refuse to settle for just good enough. I ain't gonna be an afterthought to him or anybody else in this company. I will be a respected member of this roster and I'm gonna fight like my survival depends on it to make sure it happens.
He knows that it sounds corny but every word is sincere.
James Edwards:
Tonight ain't gonna be easy for me, but it ain't gonna be for O'Brian and Envy either.
He cracks a smirk. He has a lot to lose tonight but has a hell of a lot more to win.
Triple Threat Match
Sophie O'Brian VS James Edwards VS Alan EnvyA triple threat match between three big players on the Riot roster, a match with potentially interesting implications for the three competitors involved. Alan Envy stayed in his corner watching O’Brian and Edwards locking up and trading holds as he entertained himself with a fan in the front row who accused him to be a coward.. His passive and dismissive attitude didn’t sit well with the Burning Heart who whipped Sophie in the corner he was leaning against. He saw this too late and couldn’t avoid getting squashed by the Belfast born. James piled in with a running uppercut, dodged by Sophie at the last possible moment. Edwards hit Alan instead, which he could consider a success anyway. But this left him open to O’Brian’s offense, a jumping knee to chin as he turned around. The impact sent him back into Alan, and the two of them received a running dropkick from O’Brian who then pushed James under the bottom rope and covered Alan. Edwards grabbed her by the foot and stopped the count by dragging O’Brian by the foot and sending her over the barricade for an impromptu meet and greet with the fans in the front row. He then climbed on the apron to get back in and deal with Envy, but the Show Stealer was waiting for him, and he had a big boot with James’ name written on it that he delivered to the Burning Heart before he even stepped inside the ring. The actions once again moved outside the ring where Alan was taking advantage of the lack of countouts in a triple threat match. The member of APE was taking some liberties with the newcomer, slamming his head onto the apron and then throwing him back first ring post. He taunted him before throwing the first chop, adding some more trash talk as he prepared for the second one. But Sophie was now standing on the barricade, ready to take flight and dropkick Alan on the back. James moved away and the Envious One went head first against the cold steel post. O’Brian and Edwards took this fight back in the ring, where both of them could give their best and showcase their ability. It was a very technical exchange that surely would make a lot of fans’ eyes shine, and that ended with James forcing his way out of a waistlock with an elbow to the jaw that left Sophie stunned and allowed him to nail her with an ace crusher. The Burning Heart turned around and took a few steps back, measuring the opponent who was slowly starting to stir. Could this be it? The Arizona fans and the commentary team seemed to think so, recognizing James’ posture and seeing the look in his eyes. The Violent Gospel was about to make its MWE debut, and if you followed James’ career, you’d know this rarely fails. As he was about to charge in to kick Sophie’s head off, Alan sneaked up behind him and grabbed his wrist, yanking him into a big ripcord lariat. O’Brian was up to her feet, unaware of the close call she just had. Envy met her with a couple of right hands, she answered with some of her own and the two traded a flurry of strikes. Envy came out on top and sent her against the ropes, catching O’Brian on the rebound with his trademark pop up death valley driver. Before he could make the cover, he was blasted by the returning James’ Kill Up, but Evans couldn’t capitalize on the move either as he was quickly rolled up by Sophie with a schoolboy pin that almost got her the win. O’Brian was ruling the final part of the match. The fact that Alan and James had fought back and forth intensely for the past few minutes while she recovered on the outside after getting dropped on her head with the Envious Demise surely gave her an advantage, but she was doing a great job controlling the pace of the match and keeping both opponents at bay. It only took one missed kick though to turn the tides and allow the two men to work together for the briefest moment, enough to take her once again out of the equation with a Triple Play (Two Spinning Back Fist followed by a Spinning Back Elbow) from Edwards and a brutal bicycle kick from the Lonestar. Alan quickly turned on the Burning Heart and doubled him over with a kick to the stomach, lifting him and dropping him on the mat with the gourdbuster, hooking the leg to make the cover attempt and only getting a two. Edwards instead went close to his second win in the company with the butterfly brainbuster but Alan raised his shoulder at the very last moment. James dragged him up and hit the first part of the Wildfire, rocking him with the spin kick. He then spotted O’Brian coming back and realized she was ready to blast him with the Scorched Earth Policy. Rather than hitting the roundhouse knee strike then, he grabbed Envy and used him as a shield to protect himself from Sophie’s fireball. He then got rid of Alan and hit the second part of the Wildfire on Sophie, making sure she couldn’t interfere as he pinned Envy for the three count. WINNER: James Edwards BY: Pinfall (Scorched Earth Policy), 10:26 |
Peyton Holland: "Great awareness and reflexes shown by Edwards here."
Ambra Monroe: "It could've been his demise, he made it his success. He saw the fireball coming and turned it to his advantage, very well done."
Peyton Holland: "This definitely explains why Seth Iser picked him as Duke's opponent on the last Millennium. Edwards is going to be a major player in MWE in a near future, mark my words."

The scene cuts backstage to a darker area of the arena; Andrew Raynes was lurking in the shadows, showing a bit of himself but mostly keeping to being in the dark. This was Andrew’s first ppv match in MWE for the Millennium brand and after a decisive win in his debut match, was ready to turn his sights onto the man he marked for hate when he arrived, West Long. He smirked; his hair was down floating in front of his face, giving off a vibe that showed Andrew was ready to deliver a message tonight.
Andrew Raynes:
I’ll make one thing perfectly clear before you get your panties in a twist, West.
I am not here for your IC title shot and not why I chose you as my target.
He shakes his head, readying his fist for what’s sure to be a slugfest tonight.
Andrew Raynes:
I’m sure when you saw me for the first time; you were staring at the devil himself. A man who had no fear on his face as he looked right at you with conviction and hate the likes of which you, MEW or anyone else here had ever seen. I can imagine that there wouldn’t be many people who would have the fortitude to drop you like a bad habit the way I did.
I am game changer, West!
My arrival signals that change is on the horizon, having hate injected into MWE will have a profound lasting effect even if it doesn’t blossom at Dark Web 3, it will only be the beginning of the evolution of hate that MWE is now subjected to.
When MWE brought me in, they offered me the chance to start where I pleased, my pedigree allowed me to have the choice to do whatever I wanted, I could have easily asserted myself up at the top of the card given my stature and easily had worked my way into getting what I wanted.
Instead though, I chose to go after the biggest warwolf in this company and start spreading the message of hate, for its coming.
Your response to my attack is already proving its effects are working.
Andrew grins, remembering how West didn’t wait to have Andrew’s attention, drilling him with his foot before he had a chance to even turn around. Andrew noticed that and wasn’t about to let it go to the way side.
Andrew Raynes:
See West, when I hopped that barricade and you could hear the jeers of the crowd announcing my arrival, I waited with everything I had not to drop you on the back of your head. I waited until you turned around and saw the true scope of what was standing in front of you. Had you ever felt the true essence of hate staring through your soul? I can imagine that you’d never seen an entity that devastating before in your career and certainly weren’t expecting to be dropped like a rock and left out cold in the middle of your friend’s match!
If you thought your response gave you the upper hand, you’re mistaken.
When you made your decision to return the favour, I knew it was something to be expected. There’s no action I take in this business in which I don’t expect a retaliation. I am someone who knows his actions have consequences and to be honest, I don’t care. But when you think you’re evening the odds by driving your foot through my face and I haven’t given you the full attention shows me just how terrified you are to embrace hate. That’s the sort of thing I am capable of West, being able to strike fear into anyone in the blink of an eye.
It’s what the people of MWE aren’t ready for, but won’t have a choice.
That’s what being a game changer is all about, West. It’s about being able to come in and change everything no one saw coming. NO one sees hate coming because most people just expect it to be peace and love and good beats evil and all that other bullshit. This isn’t a fairy tale, bitch!
In real life, I do what I want; I take out anyone I want because I am not bound by the gratification of championships and fictitious bullshit awards. People cling onto those accolades because without them, they are nothing. People who need to cling onto a 30 second title reign and count it as a big deal and move onto to the next one.
My preference is racking up body counts, West. The bodies I’ve left behind tell a better story than the amount of gold I pile up.
Andrew scoffs, war is what he was made for and war was what he was going to deliver tonight.
Andrew Raynes:
Tonight, everyone bears witness to the aura of hate that has entered Millennium and MWE. West, never forget that you were the one that I set my sights on because you were arguably the biggest threat, the biggest man and the most dangerous to send my message to. I enjoy the fact that there are not a lot of people here who know who I am and that’s why I enjoyed the idea of chopping down the biggest tree in this company. Because soon enough, people will start to see who I am and what’s about to hit them straight up like a punch in the face. I have no remorse, West, whatever it will take to get the job done I will seek it out. I don’t care for morality or sportsmanship. I will go out there and I will lay waste to whatever stands in my way as Hate continues to grow and evolve. While you may prepare for a fight, I promise that I will deliver more than just a straight up fight.
I will change you forever.
It’s what hate does once it seeps in; it manifests and alters your reality and way of thinking. The amount of people I have changed, scarred and broken as a result of embracing hate will astonish you. The rising of hate will be something that people may not comprehend yet but by the time they do, I will have established myself as one of the most dominant and hated forced MWE has ever seen.
You’re welcome to try and stop
But Hate never sleeps.
Embrace it, for hate has arrived!
Andrew disappears into the shadows as the camera cuts back to ringside
Black Christian Louboutin Galvati high heels enters through a door. The door shuts and the camera starts to pan up to a pair of black Armani pinstriped jacquard trousers, and a white Armani silk sleeveless top, finally panning up to the face of a beautiful blonde woman with a pair of Aviator sunglasses on. She takes the sunglasses off and begins walking through the backstage area of the Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Woman:
So, it begins. My time in MWE is finally starting which will without a doubt payoff in spades for me. Why am I so sure? Because I was born into every advantage a girl could possibly dream of. Beauty, intelligence, a massive amount of wealth, and a natural athletic ability that is only matched by the top level athletes in the world. Which is why I came to MWE. I saw the talent pool on this roste, I see that two of my associates, Alan Envy and Duke Andrews, are flourishing here. Which is whyI knew I had to come here to show all that I say I am. I am sure all of you that know me are cringing at the thought of me signing with MWE. Which is fine because I know it is all done out of jealousy and wanting what I have. That is why my sisters and I are loathed by the masses but there are a few people who actually have taste and class that appreciate the excellence I possess. Now as you might imagine like everyone else I do have my eyes on some gold but unlike most I will actually accomplish my goals. Soon enough I will actually have the MWE Junior Heavyweight title around my waist but that will come in due time. For now, Tiffany Lynn Page, am merely going to stake my claim as the baddest bitch of these parts.
Tiffany blows a kiss to the camera and walks away.
Singles Match
Andrew Raynes VS West LongThe bell rang and these two rushed to each other and locked up. It was clear there was no respect between these two men, not after Raynes “used” the Warwolf to introduce himself to the MWE fans and Long returned the courtesy by attacking the Embracer Of Hate after his successful debut. West had the strength and leverage advantage and pushed the Canadian into the ropes. The Warwolf let go before the ref could warn him, Andrew instead drove a kick to the abdomen of his towering opponent as he let go of the hold. He then charged at the number one contender for the MWE Intercontinental who easily scooped him up and slammed him into the canvas. Raynes was quickly up to his feet, swinging and missing with a right hook ducked by Long who then disposed of the opponent with a belly-to-belly suplex. West jumped up and came down hard with an elbow, obtaining the first two count. Looking to make quick work of the newest signee, Long deadlifted Andrew up for a high angle bridging german suplex, getting another near fall. West seemed to be toying with the opponent now, as he picked him back up once more and drilled him with a short range clothesline, sending Andrew backflipping to his stomach. For the third time, the Warwolf hooked the leg for a pinning predicament, getting a little closer to three than before. Still though, it wasn’t enough. If in the first part of the match West Long dominated the opponent capitalizing on the size and power advantage, things worked a bit differently halfway into the contest. Andrew finally turned the tides and began to show what he was capable of, moving quickly around the big man to avoid his offence and wearing him down with quick kicks and punches. He stringed together a few of them in rapid succession, ending the sequence with the spinning elbow called X To The E. West stumbled back into the romper, bouncing back into a low dropkick that brought him to his knees. Raynes kept the pressure on the Warwolf, lighting up his chest with shoot kicks that knocked the wind off West’s lungs. He went for his Code Of The Sith, his patented running single leg high knee that connected hard to Long’s face, knocking down the Nevada born. Andrew had a wide smile on his face, confident that the devastating blow he just delivered would give him an all things considered easy first win in his first PPV match. Imagine his reaction when the Warwolf kicked out in one. The match reached the ten minutes mark and neither one of the competitors was showing any signs of giving up. The momentum kept swinging back and forth between them; one moment West was in full control and almost got the three out of his Boom Drop (one handed pop up spinebuster) and the next minute Raynes had turned the tides completely, waiting on the top rope for the opponent to get up to his feet after being dropped on his head with a satellite ddt. And as soon as West stood up on his two legs, staggering around still stunned by the ddt, Raynes would jump and drop him with his Syndication (top rope somersault neckbreaker). When this failed too, just like everything the Embracer Of Hate had tried tonight, Andrew snapped. First he protested with the referee, then he headed to the corner and ripped the protective pad from the top turnbuckle. The official, obviously, took the pad away from his hand and put it back into place, while Raynes went back on the attack Long grabbed him by the throat and lifted him to set him up for the Point Blank but Andrew hit him with a low blow kick that the referee, still struggling to cover the exposed turnbuckle, missed entirely. Long lost his grip around Raynes’ throat and the Embracer Of Hate was quick to plant him with the Hate Never Sleeps (leaping reverse STO) to obtain his second win in as many matches. WINNER: Andrew Raynes BY: Pinfall (Hate Never Sleeps), 14:55 |
Amy Maynard: "He said he came to change the game, and he's keeping his word!"
Sir Figgles: "I like this guy, straight shooter, no bullshit. I think I just found my new favorite wrestler!"
Amy Maynard: "You do realize that he's signed to Millennium, right?"
Sir Figgles: "What the hell, why? Can we trade him with Henri Black?"
Amy Maynard: "No, you can't. That's something that would be up to Vincent and Elsa eventually but I don't think any of them wants to get rid of their stars so easily."

We cut backstage to the dressing room of none other than “The British Bombshell” Glory Braddock. The blonde haired beauty is dressed in her royal purple two piece wrestling attire. She stands facing the camera, staring stoically, emotionlessly, into the lens. She may look emotionless but those who know Braddock know that the emotions are whirling around her at this moment as she prepares for a world title contender’s match against Tank Steiner.
Glory Braddock:
You lot should know who I am by now. And if Tank Steiner is smart then I’m sure he’s done his homework and knows who I am and what I am capable of. But you may not know who I REALLY am, because knowing the REAL Glory Braddock is the key to knowing what drives me and what motivates me to keep going.
I am the daughter of Glenn Braddock. If you don’t know him that’s not surprising, because my father gained his popularity on the European wrestling circuit. His dream was to become recognized the world over as among the very best amateur wrestlers by winning a gold medal in the Olympic games. But unfortunately that dream never happened, because he suffered a career ending injury before he could even qualify. And I was present the night he suffered that injury. I watched the man I thought was unstoppable, my hero, a man I thought to be invincible, forced into retirement and forced to give up on his dream.
The British Bombshell taps the side of her head.
Glory Braddock:
That memory is still forever etched into my mind. That memory is what drove me to begin my own training and become a wrestler myself, not for my own fame and fortune but to continue his work to make wrestling better and, ultimately, to fulfill his dream of being the best in the world. And in my time I have won fifteen world championships across multiple promotions. Then I came here to MWE with the same goal; to improve wrestling and to ensure that the Braddock wrestling still is recognized as among the best in the world and that means I have to become the MWE World Champion.
That means I have to go through you, Tank. This is something we both want, it’s something we both desire. But that goes without saying, doesn’t it? If you’re not in this business to become World Champion then you need to go somewhere else. What it boils down to is which one of us wants it more?
Braddock points to her face which contorts and now shows much more intensity.
Glory Braddock:
Look into my eyes, Tank! Just look at the intensity on my face and know that I want this more than anyone else in the company and I will do anything I have to in order to get through you and earn my shot at the MWE World Championship!
The British Bombshell smirks knowingly.
Glory Braddock:
Then I’m coming for you, Seth...assuming you survive Duke Andrews on night two. As much as I’d love to be the one to ultimately dethrone you, to knock you off of your high horse, the fact is that it doesn’t matter to me which one of you blokes is the champion after Dark Web has ended. What you need to understand is that whoever the World Champion is will have a date with The British Bombshell, The Best in the World, and that means your title reign will be on borrowed time. Because when I get my title match, I will defeat you, whichever one of you it is, and I will become a sixteen time World Champion.
Braddock shuts her eyes.
Glory Braddock:
Sic Semper Tyrannis…
Braddock turns and walks off.
#1 Contendership for the MWE World Championship Match
Stipulation TBD
Glory Braddock VS Tank SteinerStipulation TBD
Braddock and Steiner were standing in their respective corner, both of them looking focused and prepared for the match that was about to start. The stakes were high, the winner would be next in line for a shot at the MWE World Championship, and the stipulation chosen by the MWE fans was a dangerous one, for both of them. Anything goes in a Falls Count Anywhere and, as the name suggests, no place is safe as submission and pinfalls can happen anywhere in the Arena. The two competitors stayed in the ring for a literal minute before Tank sent Glory tumbling over the top rope with a clothesline. The Austrian Hulk kept throwing those massive hands at the Best In The World who kept recoiling as she ducked and dodged his heavy punches. She struck suddenly with a kick to the kneecap, notoriously one of Steiner’s weak spots, stopping the colossal Austrian’s advance. A quick glance behind her shoulders gave her an idea to deliver a first major blow that would immediately steer the match in her direction. With a drop toe hold, she tripped the giant and caused him to fall head first on the steel steps. The impact resulted in a bad cut on Tank’s big forehead, but despite the injury he still kicked out in two. As pointed out by the commentary team, dealing with a bad cut like this so early turned the match into an uphill battle for Tank, who was now on the receiving end of Glory’s flurry of chops and kicks forcing him to retreat up the ramp. As her unremitting storm of blows wasn’t enough to deal with, Herr Steiner also had to wipe the blood from his eyes to at least try to defend himself from Braddock’s attacks. He did it in a moment when she stopped hitting him, a break that served Glory to charge at Tank for a running high knee. He saw her coming and manage to catch her for a spinebuster on the cold steel, getting a near fall as well. Tank’s running big boot missed Glory’s head, but on the other hand it carved a hole in one of the side led walls placed on the entrance stage. Braddock stumbled through the curtains and took the hallway, stalked by the Austrian who clubbed her with heavy forearms to the back. A particularly heavy one dropped the British Bombshell on her knees next to some production crates. Steiner picked her up with a gutwrench powerbomb and drove her down onto the crates. Glory screamed in agony, rolling off the crate and crawling on the floor, looking for something to hang on and use to pick herself up. The Austrian Hulk stomped at her lower back twice, frustrating her attempt to pull herself up. He even dropped an elbow to the spine, weakening it before going for the submission with his Morgen In Traktion (Texas cloverleaf). The former Riot champion was in a world of pain, and you could tell by the look on her face that she wasn’t going to last long. A creative solution to her problems was right within reach though, in the form of a fire extinguisher. With great struggle, the British Bombshell managed to grab it and direct the hose to the side of Tank’s face. A cloud of white foam invested the big man, who was forced to relinquish the hold. Though in great agony, Braddock managed to get up on her feet before the disoriented Tank regained sight of her. As he went to grab her, she drove the now empty red cylinder in his midsection, jumping with her knee to his face and dragging him down into the Gloria In Excelsis Deo (variation of the codebreaker). Landing on her sore back wasn’t ideal after the punishment she had been through, but it was a sacrifice Glory was willing to make to reach her goal. Due to the back pain though she was very slow in getting on top of Steiner, and this made it easier for him to kick out in two. The two contenders kept fighting across the whole arena, leaving a trail of destruction on their path. A closet door was ripped off the hinges as Tank put Glory through it with a powerbomb, but the Best In The World kicked out in two. A bicycle kick from the British Bombshell sent Tank stumbling back and crashing through a table of the cafeteria. Glory climbed on top of the counter and jumped on him with the Blaze Of Glory, but the big man kicked out in two. Eventually they ended up in the medical bay, a fitting place to end their contest considering they both will need the doctor’s attention by the time this one’s over. Tank was wielding a mop and repeatedly plunging at Glory’s ribs with it. She eventually blocked it and tried to take it off Tank’s grasp but the Austrian Hulk kept the hold and pushed her back against the doctor’s desk. He then broke the mop on her skull, Braddock answering by throwing the desk-tidy and all its content at the towering man. That didn’t do much damage but served as a distraction that allowed Glory to kick him down low. Tank Steiner dropped on his knees, holding on his crotch with both hands. Braddock eyed the medicine cabinet and started rummaging into it. The doc protested and begged her to stop while picking up the vials and boxes the British Bombshell threw on the floor. She eventually found what she was looking for, a white bottle whose content she poured on a gauze. Holding it in her hand and keeping it at a safe distance from her face, she went back to the opponent and locked him in a sleeper hold, pressing the bandage soaked in anesthetic on his face. As soon as he realized what was happening, Steiner started squirming trying to get away. But soon he faded and the official called the match, declaring Glory as the winner of the match. WINNER: Glory Braddock BY: Submission (Sleeper Hold), 16:16 |
Peyton Holland: "That's one way to put the big man down..."
Ambra Monroe: "Glory proved once again to be one of the craftiest stars in MWE today. She had the size and power disadvantage in a stipulation that favored her opponent, and yet she managed to find a way to be victorious."
Peyton Holland: "And now she earned a shot at the World Title. Taking a look at tomorrow's card, there's another match that will determine the number one contender for the same title. Makes you wonder what the General Managers have in store."
Ambra Monroe: "No idea, but it doesn't bode well for either Seth or Duke. Glory Braddock and one between Melissa Reeves and Joey leclair... That's some bad clients to have to deal with."

The cameras cut somewhere backstage to find Lowri Moss and the sight of the Cloud Gate Champion draws a loud cheer from the fans that are present inside the venue. With her title draped over her shoulder, Lowri is dressed in her ring attire and a replica Wales rugby union jersey, still on a high from her nation’s sporting success last weekend, and she starts by offering her usual greeting.
Lowri Moss:
What’s occurring, Phoenix?
The customary cheap pop follows. With a smile on her face, Lowri proceeds.
Lowri Moss:
Tonight, seven weeks on from Domino Effect, when I defeated Melissa Reeves to end her lengthy reign as the Cloud Gate Champion, I make my first defence of the title. And for my first defence, I have not one, but two challengers, as I’m going to be defending my title against both Matt Stone and Christina Rose; having the title be on the line in a triple threat match would be a tough test no matter who my opponents were, but to be up against two challengers as decorated as Matt and Christina… I’m going to have my work cut out for me to keep hold of my title, but I know that I’m talented enough to come out of this match with the belt still in my possession.
She takes a breath, before continuing.
Lowri Moss:
To add to the challenge that I’m facing, this match can only be won by submission, as voted for earlier in the week by you, the fans. The two other match types that could’ve been voted for were elimination rules and falls count anywhere, and while I didn’t have any issues with any of the potential stipulations, I’m willing to admit that my preference would’ve been elimination rules, as that would’ve meant that I would have to be pinned or made to submit in order to lose my title. I didn’t make any attempt to influence the vote though, leaving it up to each of you to make your own decision, and in the end, like I said, a majority of you voted for a submission only match, much to the satisfaction of my other half.
Lowri’s “other half” is of course Gareth Prichard, better known to wrestling fans as Neal Durden.
Lowri Moss:
I don’t think the submission only rules particularly favours any one of the three of us over the other two. I mean, while we do all have submission manoeuvres in our respective arsenals, I’m not sure that any of us are exactly renowned for being submission wrestlers-- I’m best known for my striking ability, and am usually most likely to end a match by kicking an opponent or by dropping them on their head. Having said that though, I have won a couple of matches by submission in the past, including one multi-person match, so I’m confident that once I manage to isolate either Matt or Christina for long enough, I’ll be able to make them tap out.
She nods her head, emphasising her statement.
Lowri Moss:
It was only a few weeks ago that I faced Christina on an episode of Millennium, with me getting the win in what was my first match since winning the Cloud Gate title. Prior to that match, I said I expected that Christina was probably amongst the many people on the roster who I’m sure would love to have an opportunity to challenge me for my title. However, what I didn’t expect, after I won that match, is that she would get such an opportunity so soon. It’s fine with me though, I’m happy to run it back. Having wanted a match with me for a number of months, now she gets a second one in the space of a matter of weeks, this time in a triple threat, and with my title on the line.
She quickly casts a glance at the championship belt resting on her shoulder.
Lowri Moss:
Up to now, championships have eluded Christina here in MWE. She has competed for titles on a few previous occasions, at least, but has been unsuccessful each time. I’m sure she’s hoping to change that tonight, and I’m well aware of what she’s capable of, having seen what she has accomplished elsewhere, but the way I see it… it’s going to be another missed opportunity for her inside an MWE ring, she’s going to suffer a second loss to me in under a month, and the only question in my mind is whether she’s going to be the one that I make tap out, or whether it’s going to be Matt.
There is a shrug of the shoulders from Lowri.
Lowri Moss:
The trios match that Matt and I were on opposite sides in ten days ago was the second time that he and I had been opponents, following a tag match in another promotion in May of last year. This’ll be the first time that we’ve been opponents in a singles match though, and the outcomes of that trios match and the tag match aren’t going to count for much once we’re in the ring together later.
Following the briefest of pauses, she continues.
Lowri Moss:
Although he has only been on the Millennium roster for a relatively short period, it’s no surprise to me that Matt has gotten himself into title contention already. Love him or hate him-- and I know for most people, it’s the latter-- I don’t think his ability can be questioned. At Domino Effect, he was on the verge of earning a shot at the Intercontinental title, until Christina interfered in the match. Now he has a shot at the Cloud Gate title, and though this may well be a match that, until a week ago, he wouldn't have anticipated that he would be a part of, I’m sure he intends to make the most of this unexpected opportunity, while also getting revenge on Christina for what she did to him at Domino Effect. Unfortunately for him though, I have other ideas.
The smile on Lowri’s face now resembles more of a smirk.
Lowri Moss:
Given the beef between Matt and Christina, it seemed a fair assumption that they would be opponents at some point this weekend, either tonight or tomorrow. What I wouldn't have guessed is that I would be caught up in the middle of it, but… such is the life of a champion, I suppose. On the first episode of Millennium after I became the Cloud Gate Champion, I stood in the middle of the ring and I said that I was ready to defend my title against all comers, and I meant it. I know from experience that winning a title is one thing, but keeping hold of it is harder still, and there are definitely less complex matches that I could’ve had for my first defence of the Cloud Gate title, but you know what? A triple threat, submission only match, against two opponents who are at odds with one another, one of whom actually referred to me as “a third wheel”?
She shrugs her shoulders again.
Lowri Moss:
Bring it on, I say. In the history of this promotion, no titleholder has had their reign as champion come to an end in their first defence, and I’m not about to make that unwanted piece of history.
She gives a shake of her head.
Lowri Moss:
I have absolutely no intention of allowing my reign as Cloud Gate Champion to be ended in my first defence of the title. I know that as the champion, this is going to be just the first challenge that I’ll have to come through-- the first of many, if I have my way-- but come through it I will, and I’ll leave here tonight as still the Cloud Gate Champion.
Lowri finishes by uttering three words in Welsh, words that she has not said on camera in MWE before now, but which may be familiar to people who have seen her compete elsewhere.
Lowri Moss:
Trên. Ymladd. Ennill.
She repeats the motto, but this time in English.
Lowri Moss:
Train. Fight. Win.
Lowri stares confidently at the camera, before it then cuts away.
Everything comes into focus and as it does we are treated to the backstage area. It is there where we are able to see Christina Rose. The blue haired vixen can’t help but offer a wicked grin as she looks right into the lens of the camera. Her eyes slowly flicker as she takes a long deep breath as she begins to play.
Christina Rose:
What is happening to all of the MWE fanatics out there! If you don’t know who I am let me just proudly tell you. My name is Christina Rose and I am known by so many names in the wrestling world. From the bottom of my heart can I just personally say that it feels really good to be competing at Dark Web tonight?! I am going to be completely honest with all of you. I honestly didn’t think I would be allowed back into this company. When I was last part of MWE is was on the Riot brand. I tried desperately to position myself at perhaps winning the Junior Heavyweight Championship but I just couldn’t get anywhere close to it. As a matter of fact as a woman who has had the pleasure on both rosters. Neither roster really did anything for my career.
Christina shakes her head with a drawn out sigh as she continues to share her heart.
Christina Rose:
Every match just seemed to result in heartbreak or in disappointment and when I came back I thought that things would truly be different. I thought I would build up some steam. After all every single company I have ever competed at has resulted in a path to becoming the top champion and I successfully have always accomplished whatever my heart after. That statement is always true but for some reason I can’t seem to get past the first level in this company.
Christina looks at the camera as she continues to speak.
Christina Rose:
I just didn’t do so well in my first outing in this company and I thought that by returning I could have different results but so far that hasn’t been the case. It just seems like once again I am dropping the ball and I am back to where I was when I first came into this company. Since making my return I don’t even think I have been able to pick up a win yet and it doesn’t seem to get any better. However tonight I walk into a triple threat match. I get to walk into a match with the two people that I wanted to face off against…
Christina shakes her head as she lets a grin escape her and she speaks more.
Christina Rose:
I get to step into the ring with Lowri Moss and of course Matt Stone. I guess I should start with Lowri Moss. To be honest I have her ranked highly as one of the best wrestlers in the world today. I have seen her competing in so many places. She at one point was in Rose City Wrestling and I know she has been dominant in FGA. When she came to MWE I just knew that she was going to rise through the ranks and make something of herself. I wasn’t wrong because she managed to beat the brakes off of Melissa Reeves and was crowned as the Cloud Gate Champion. Now she is here to prove that she is among one of the top fighting wrestlers in the entire world and she won’t slow down or back down for anyone.
Christina claps her hands with a smirk.
Christina Rose:
I know I said some things that might have offended you Lowri. I know I said that in this showdown you were merely a third wheel in the tale of Matt and I. I didn’t mean any disrespect and I damn sure didn’t mean to disrespect your position as being the Champion in this championship match. I know exactly what you are about. I know you didn’t come all the way from Wales to be cast aside. You came from there to be the best damn wrestler in the world. I will give you the fight of your life. I know your striking ability can’t be compared to anybody else’s. Not to mention you can outwrestle anybody with your technical ability. That I know you succeed at but do you have it in you to really go out and make somebody tap out. Do you have that in you?!
Christina quickly shakes her head.
Christina Rose:
One thing is for sure I refuse to quit. I refuse to be push to the side because I finally have the chance to do something that I have been trying to do for years. I can go about trying to make Matt Stone shut up once and for all. Matt I guess the first thing I should say to you is that I am sorry. I really am sorry that I interrupted your chances to win the Intercontinental Championship. It sucks because I ruined your chances but in reality for the past what 5 years you have been nothing but the abusive best MALE FRIEND. All of the times you destroyed me in Madden and every single bet that I have ever lost! Do you know how embarrassing it is to clean your house wearing a French maid outfit or to do just about anything involving you?! I will be brutally honest with you…
Christina shrugs her shoulders.
Christina Rose:
I did have a crush on you. I know it’s like the worst kept secret ever but I had a crush on you and I just wanted to be near you. That is the only thing I ever wanted but as I got closer you just kept making fun of me. You kept on making me look stupid and when I doubt you would be mine you went about and got yourself a girlfriend. I was in a terrible relationship and I could have been right there at your side but it was never anything more than just that. I would do anything for you! Watch the Simpsons or even cheer the sorry ass Ravens or even get you Skittles!! Everything you like I would have had your back but no… I was only eye candy to you. Someone that you could stare at the back side, and other than that I was just an idiot to you…
Christina forms a serious expression as she continues to speak.
Christina Rose:
That is when I realized I needed to make your life a living hell. I needed to do everything in my power to disturb you and it’s for the simple reason that I wanted your attention. Once I had your attention you would know that I am certainly for real. So now here we are and I plan to hit you where it hurts. I plan to best you in the ring. Hell I plan to best the both of you. Tonight it’s about changing the narrative about me. It’s about finally being able to accomplish something and proving to the entire world that I am worthy to be here. So bring it Lowri. Bring it Matt but through hell or high water I will walk away as the winner of this match and as your new Cloud Gate Champion. Bring it on… It’s showtime…
With that Christina looks right into the camera as we fade out on the image of her.
Cloud Gate Championship Match
Submission Only
Lowri Moss © VS Matt Stone VS Christina Rose Submission Only
The Cloud Gate championship was on the line in a triple threat match that can only end via submission. The Welsh was known as one of the best strikers in the game but as far as submissions go, they’re not exactly her forte. Both her opponents instead were quite proficient on this aspect, something Lowri had definitely considered in her preparation for this match. As the bell sounded, Christina charged at Matt Stone and took him down with a Thesz press. The Blossoming Rose had made some questionable comments before this match calling the Cloud Gate champion the “third wheel” in this match. Words fueled by her blind hate toward the Abominable Showman, confirmed by her actions in the ring that actually relegated Lowri to the role of a spectator in the opening moments. Matt eventually managed to push the opponent off and roll out of the ring. Christina popped up to her feet and shouted at Matt to come back in. The Cloud Gate champion was done playing the waiting game and called out Rose, who turned around right into a Breuddwydion Melus (superkick) that sent her into the corner. Lowri then followed with the Scarlet Barrage, unleashing a flurry of rapid fire knife edge chops and forearm strikes. Stone slid back in behind the champion’s back and delivered his Stone Cutter backbreaker. Matt then sat down on Lowri’s back applying a camel clutch, but he couldn’t actually do much damage to the Cloud Gate champion as Christina superkicked him, doing a favor to the Welsh fighter. As the time passed, the Blossoming Rose eventually put her obsession on Matt aside and focused on the match, working on the champion’s neck with neckbreakers and other impact moves. She even tried to submit her with a Last Chancery but Matt broke it up with an elbow drop to her stomach as she bridged back while applying the chokehold. The Straight Shooter then locked her in an abdominal stretch and used his free arm to pound at her with forearm to the abdomen area. Christina managed to escape the submission, pivoting to face Matt and placing her head under his chin, dropping to her knees to knock him down with a chin breaker. As she went to stomp him she was blindsided by Lowri who hooked her arms and lifted her for a tiger suplex, transitioning into a bridging double chickenwing. This was the move she calls Severn Bridge, one of the few and by far the most effective submission move in her arsenal. It may have worked to make Christina tap out, but Stone didn’t allow this to happen, breaking it up. Scoring a submission win is never an easy feat, doing it in a triple threat raised the difficulty bar a notch. Matt realized it when he had the champion locked in The Danger Zone with nowhere to go, but Christina came out of the blue to break it up. He returned the courtesy when she applied her Power Absorption right in the middle of the ring, kicking the Blossoming Rose on the back of her head and literally snatching the title away from her when she was so close to make the champion tap out. As for Lowri, she can curse her tag team and life partner Gareth Prichard Jr. (formerly known as Neal Durden) for rallying the fans to vote this stipulation that clearly wasn’t favoring the reigning champion. Despite the difficulties, Lowri wasn’t one to give up so easily. To turn things around, she relied on what she does best, relying on her striking ability to forcefully regain control. There was a Just For Kicks (Running big boot to a cornered opponent followed by a running Facewash) to Matt, an Inverted DDT to keep the rising Christina down and a Nos Da (rolling cutter) for Stone, who then rolled out of the ring on instinct. Lowri turned back to face the charging Rose and kick her in the stomach, doubling her over and setting her up for the Cradle Piledriver. And then she surprised everyone with a dragon sleeper, a new addition to her moveset she has worked on during this week leading up to the PPV. And this new trick she just learned allowed her to retain the title she won at Domino Effect, making Christina tap out before Matt could make yet another save. WINNER: Lowri Moss (STILL CLOUD GATE CHAMPION) BY: Submission (Dragon Sleeper), 15:32 |
Amy Maynard: "And still, your Cloud Gate champion... LOWRI MOSS!"
Sir Figgles: "Calm down, fangirl."
Amy Maynard: "I always wanted to say it. She's my daughter's favorite wrestler and I have no problem admitting she's definitely in my top five too."
Sir Figgles: "You and Mia need better role models. How about the th egreatest champion in MWE, the Unstoppable Murder Train?"
AMy Maynard: "Please, shut up already!"
We open backstage in a dark, boiler room area of the arena. The camera faces what appears to be the sides of a cage wall. A few moments later Summer Collins emerges into the scene, standing behind the cage wall. She is dressed in her wrestling gear and has her MWE World Tag Team Championship belt wrapped around her waist and the GCW Global Tag Team Championship belt draped over her right shoulder. Then her tag team partner and good friend “The Archangel” Jessica Lasiewicz emerges next to her. Jessica is also dressed in her wrestling gear and has the MWE World Tag Team Championship belt draped over her right shoulder and the GCW Global Tag Team Championship belt draped over her left shoulder.
Summer Collins:
Rhett Adelson and Qiyara Singh, a team that Jess and I can honestly say we respect, a team that we have battled before and we always look forward to facing the two of you. When faced with the choices of Tables Match, Two out of Three Falls, or a Cage Tornado Match, Jess and I would almost always pick Two out of Three Falls. Some of the best tag team matches in wrestling history have been contested in a two out of three falls situation. Alas this isn’t an ordinary situation.
Collins shakes her head.
Summer Collins:
It seems that lately we just can’t escape certain teams wanting to stick their noses in our business. Once upon a time it was APE, then it was the Bad Boyz, then it was The Eldon Family. We can’t seem to have a fair and square match between the four of us. And the only solution to that it seems is a cage match.
Lasiewicz nods her head in agreement with her tag partner.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
Good thing the fans agreed with us because that’s what is going to happen. Fabulous against Adelson and Singh in a cage match for the MWE World Tag Team Championship. And this time, surrounded by the steel, there will be no outside interference from the likes of The Bad Boys, The Eldons, or anyone else who thinks it may be wise to stick their nose where it doesn’t belong. And that means finally, once and for all, we can get an undisputed settlement of our affairs. We can finally answer the question of who is the best.
The Archangel and Collins both pat their title belts.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
The fact that we have these is the only evidence we need to prove that we are the best tag team in the world today. We have taken on the very best teams this company has had to offer and we have beaten them all, yourselves included. But if you want to stake your claim, if you want to prove us wrong, then you have to beat us inside the steel cage. And that just isn’t going to happen because we have fought too long and too hard to get to where we are today just to let it slip away. So trust me when I say that you two are in for a war tonight.
Summer Collins:
And after that war is over, make no mistake about it that Jess and I will leave still the MWE World Tag Team Champions, still the best, and STILL ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!
The scene fades.
It had been a long time since the Millennium cameras had fallen on the face of Qiyara Singh, at least prior to match time of course. It wasn’t really clear what was on her mind as she trailed into the shared locker room that she and Rhett shared. He seemed quiet and reserved in his demeanor much like we’d seen him in previous weeks and she went about like the cameras weren’t even there, sliding up behind him and rest her hands on his shoulders, delicately squeezing to alert him to her presence.
Qiyara Singh:
I would almost say that you were in a catatonic state if I didn’t know you so well.
She offered a faint smile at that observation before she circled around and sat beside him taking his hands into her own.
Qiyara Singh:
There’s no motivational speeches today, no getting a rise out of your spirit and certainly no declarations of accomplishment.
She let out a laugh as he turned to look at her deeply and her humorous laughter turned into a smirk as her eyes grew serious.
Qiyara Singh:
We’ve been here a hundred times before, but always seem to fall short at the end. There’s no denying that Fabulous has beaten us in the situations where it counts, every time.
She shakes her head at that.
Qiyara Singh:
But not tonight.
She stood up now as she turned from him. Tying her long hair back and rolling her neck as she walked over to an area where it seemed we used to find her quite frequently. The area where she meditates and works to center herself. She sits and properly aligns herself in the center of the are before she closes her eyes and begins to utter a chant.
Its indiscernible to those watching just what it mans, but Rhett just sits there quietly as a smile comes to his own features then.
Rhett Adelson:
Not tonight.
Was the final phrase just before the scene fades.

Peyton Holland: “This is going to be good.” Ambra Monroe: “I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings with what I’m saying, but right now these two teams represent the apex of tag wrestling in MWE.” Peyton Holland: “You’re not wrong, every match they had so far has been an instant classic.” Ambra Monroe: “I have no problems admitting that I voted for a two out of three falls, but I can see why the cage has a certain appeal between the fans.” Peyton Holland: “No submissions, no pinfalls. The only way to win is by escaping the cage, The first person who manages to climb and leave the steel structure will give their team the win and, most importantly, the coveted tag titles.” The referee was repeating these rules to the four competitors. They all nodded at his words, although their eyes never turned to the official, staring intensely at the opponents instead. Before the bell rang, Qiyara asked Jessica to shake her hand, a testament to the deep respect between the two teams. Lasiewicz didn’t hesitate and grabbed the Indian’s hand. Summer and Rhett did the same, then they repeated the gesture with the other opponent. A rare display of sportsmanship that earned the applause of the Arizona fans. As the match finally started, the dualism was even more evident, the fans equally split started cheering on both teams. Jessica and Qiyara were throwing kicks at each other, not the first time they did actually. And that would explain why they seem to know what the opponent was going to do before they actually would, staying always one step ahead and, most importantly, unharmed by those dangerous strikes. Summer and Rhett instead were far less cautious than their counterparts, hitting each other with forearms strikes and right hands. A style that was clearly favoring the California born who combined strength and speed to land his shots with surgical precision. Collins was rocked and Rhett wasted no time, blasting her with a running single leg dropkick. Peyton Holland: “The explosion! Rhett went for his best shot right off the bat!” Ambra Monroe: “It’s not a bad strategy, he can try to climb the cage already while Singh keeps Lasiewicz busy.” And so he did, beginning to climb the cage to the cheers of the fans. The Archangel shoved Qiyara to the mat and pursued him. Singh’s attempt to stop her was abruptly frustrated by Summer cutting her off with a spear, and this allowed Jessica to grab a hold of Adelson’s foot and yank him down. Unfortunately for him, he landed neck first on the top rope, leaving him breathless. Lasiewicz noticed that he couldn’t possibly stop her and tried to escape. Qiyara caught Collins with a leaping knee and then saw Jessica who almost reached the top of the cage. She kicked at the wall with all her strength, rattling the cage and causing the tag champion to fall all the way down. Ambra Monroe: “By that sin fell the angels…” Peyton Holland: “What?” Ambra Monroe: “It’s Shakespeare, from Henri VIII. That was a nasty fall for the Archangel.” Peyton Holland: “And for Rhett before her. We knew there would have been hell to pay for both teams, but I wasn’t expecting the match to start with this rhythm.” Neither team looked like they were slowing down anytime soon. Qiyara crashed face first into the fence after Collins launched her against it with a catapult. Rhett had Jessica stuck in the corner and he was wearing her down with ten punches at the turnbuckle. Out of nowhere came Summer kicking Rhett’s leg away and bringing him back on the canvas. Before he could turn around, she jumped with both knees on his back, dropping him down with a backstabber. She then checked on Jessica who reassured her about her conditions and told Summer to start climbing, while she watched her back trying to keep the opponents from interfering. As Singh got up to her feet, Lasiewicz knocked her back down with the Our Lady Peace bicycle kick. Rhett began to climb and managed to grab Summer’s foot. She used the other leg to kick him away but he hung on. Jessica climbed to the middle rope, slipping between Rhett’s legs so that she had him on her shoulders now in an electric chair position. He shook his head no, well aware of what was about to happen and the consequences it may have had on the match. If he went down, nobody could stop Collins from reaching the top and escaping the cage. Jessica fell back, Rhett desperately managed to grab Collins’ legs and dragged her down with him into a ruinous fall. Peyton Holland: “The fans are right… Holy shit indeed!” Ambra Monroe: “Someone should check on Collins.. No way she’s okay after a fall like that..” The referee was on it, checking on both her and Rhett who was clutching his shoulder after a bad landing. Behind his back, Qiyara and Jessica started their climb on opposite corners of the same wall. The Indian was still recovering from the Our Lady Peace and was slower on her ascent. Despite starting to climb after the opponent, Jessica reached the top before her and she was already with one leg on the outside when Qiyara got there. Realizing there was no time to waste, she stood up on the edge of the cage and, showing impressive balance, ran toward Jessica, kicking her toward the ring with a shining wizard. Both of them fell down on the canvas and the fans went ballistic. The referee looked in shock at the carnage surrounding him. All four competitors were down, barely moving. Ambra Monroe: “The lenghts they’re all willing to go to for the Tag Titles..” Peyton Holland: “They’re really putting their bodies on the line tonight. This is the kind of match that, for better or worse, defines a career.” Ambra Monroe: “One thing for sure, none of them will leave this cage the same person they entered as.” Adelson was the first one who started to stir, dragging himself to the corner and slowly pulling himself up. He turned around, seeing his girlfriend laying flat on her stomach, panting heavily and in too much pain to even try and stand up. His instinct was to check on her but, with both the tag champions still down, this was his best chance to escape the cage. Climbing with one arm was an extremely difficult task, but Rhett managed to reach the top. Driven mostly by desperation, Summer dug deep inside her to find that last bit of energy to sprint up the wall, eventually reaching Adelson. The two started fighting at height, using one hand to hang on the cage and the other to try to knock the opponent down. Rhett had Summer on his “weak side”, and his punches delivered with the injured arm weren’t the most effective. Collins was getting the best of this high risk exchange, causing Rhett to slip down a notch. She tried to hoist herself over the edge of the cage but he was right back on her, grabbing a hold of her hair and slamming her face on the cage. Once. Twice. Three times. The fourth did it, busting Collins open and knocking her off the cage. Jessica was up to her feet and desperately tried to climb the cage but Qiyara, just as desperately, hung onto her leg with both arms to, at the very least, slow her down. Adelson, exhausted, climbed over the edge and let himself fall on the floor outside. WINNER: Rhett Adelson & Qiyara Singh (AND NEW MWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS) BY: Cage Escape, 20:17 |
Ambra Monroe: “Such a hard landing has never been so sweet!!”
Peyton Holland: “They did it! Rhett and Qiyara are the new MWE Tag Team Champions!”
Ambra Monroe: "It's been a long and bumpy road, we heard it from them after Anniversary, they even consodered giving up."
Peyton Holland: "And look at them tonight, finally holding the gold that so many times had slipped through their fingers."
Ambra Monroe: "Congratulations to them, and to Fabulous as well. Jessica and Summer proved once again tonight that they are one of the greatest tag team in the business. Tonight, it just wasn't meant to be, but it takes nothing away from their ability."

We cut backstage to Megan Monroe, who is dressed down in her purple ring gear and has the Intercontinental Championship around her waist.
Megan Monroe:
I wanted to keep this short and sweet because all the pettiness that comes with in this sport? It’s out the window. This match? It’s pure and it’s respect. Eliza and I have a history and so far, she’s stood tall over that history. She’s one upped me at every corner. And before I could prove that I was ready to take the torch from her and be the cornerstone of Millennium? She left.
Megan sighed and shook her head.
Megan Monroe:
I was disappointed but you know what? I kept on fighting and I kept on improving. I kept honing my craft and now? Now I’ve not only become the inaugural Intercontinental Championship but I’ve held it for over a year now. Nobody can claim to do what I’ve done. Nobody can compare to the legacy I’ve built while I’ve carried this company on my back. The most consistent thing of Millennium? Has been me, Megan Monroe. And tonight? I prove why I’ve been exactly that when I pin Eliza’s shoulders down to the mat. Because I’m not handing back the forth I took and ran with. No, this is my time.
Megan unstraps the IC Championship from her waist and raises it in the air as she peers into the camera.
Megan Monroe:
I refuse to let this be taken from it. I refuse to lose. And tonight? In the most purest of fashions? I will beat Eliza and I will be known as the greatest wrestler of Millennium’s history. There is no Millennium without Megan Monroe. You’ll see what I mean later tonight in the main event.
She nodded and walked off before the scene cut away.
We cut backstage to the locker room area, as the camera moves in close on one particular door, the usual sounds of boots pacing up and down can be heard. When the cameraman steps into the locker room, he is treated to the sight of the little blonde girl who has been at shows with Eliza for some time now and Eliza’s wife Nora Foley, both watching the young star pace up and down her locker room.
Eliza Foley:
This is it, no distractions or excuses. Since I came back to Millennium, I’ve had one goal in mind. Megan Monroe.
Eliza finally sees the camera and turns to look down the lens with a slight smile.
Eliza Foley:
See, for me it isn’t about what title people say is the biggest or who people think are the best. For me, it’s about facts. And the facts are that since I left? It’s been Megan who’s been carrying this company on her shoulders.
And sure, she’s done a good job of keeping things moving around here, I can’t and won’t dispute that. Megan took the torch and she ran with it.
Eliza then pauses and holds up a finger.
Eliza Foley:
My issue is with the fact that I passed her that torch. The only reason she has a company to carry is because of me! I worked against forces that most people would buckle under. I proved myself time and time again and took on challenges that would make deathmatch wrestlers break a sweat.
I BUILT this company and what happens? A huge historical night and not even an utterance of my name. Not one single, ungrateful, spoiled little fuck that works here, could put credit to my name. Oh no, it’s all about Seth fucking Iser; who cares? Good god if you all wanted an ego maniac who only serves themselves why did you chase Chuck off? Oh wait…
Eliza holds up a hand in a pause motion.
Eliza Foley:
None of you did.
Eliza steps back and smiles, so that the camera can once again catch a view of her beautiful family who are there to support her.
Eliza Foley:
My name built this place and it’s My legacy that will carry it into this new year. I have so much more to care for now and Megan, I’ve been where you are. I’ve been at the top of my game with nothing but wrestling to worry about… now? I’m going to teach you another lesson.
Stepping back just a little more, Eliza kisses her wife and gently messes up the little girls hair before looking back to the camera one more time.
Eliza Foley:
No matter what they say? You CAN have it all.
MWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Pure Rules
Megan Monroe © VS Eliza FoleyPure Rules
Amy Maynard: “Here we go, ladies and gentlemen.. It’s time for the main event of night one!” Peyton Holland: “The Intercontinental championship is on the line in a rematch from Domino Effect. Megan Monroe defends the prestigious title against the first ever Millennium champion, former Riot champion and Red Line 2 winner, Eliza Foley.” Ambra Monroe: “Little known fact, the only reason this match is allowed to happen is because Eliza, having won the Red Line tournament, was allowed to challenge for any title. Let’s not forget, in fact, that the Intercontinental championship is meant to be defended against challengers from the opposite brand or, as it happened with Precious Pepper Vain, outside talents.” Amy Maynard: “Remember folks. The match will be contested under Pure Rules. Figgles, do you want to remind our fans what does this mean?” Sir Figgles: “With pleasure, Amy. First rule, each wrestler only has three rope breaks to stop submissions and pinfalls. After they exhaust them, pinfalls and submissions under the ropes are considered legal. Rule number two, no closed fists to the face, the rest of the body is, instead, fair game. Except, of course, under the belt. First low blow gets you a warning, second time you’re out. Third rule, if they leave the ring they have a twenty count to get back in instead of the regular ten count.” Peyton Holland: “Than…” Sir Figgles: “Fourth and most important rule, Henri Black is not allowed anywhere near the ring. Seriously, security… Can you for once do your job and keep that sore loser away from this match? Thank you, sincerely, Sir Figgles.” Ambra Monroe: “I didn’t see this fourth rule when I last checked but I do hope we can have a fair contest between these two incredible athletes without any interference. Just two of the greatest stars in MWE doing what they do best. Wrestling.” Amy Maynard: “That’s what they want and the reason why they asked the fans to choose this stipulation. To determine, once and for all, who’s the best.” As the bell rang, Monroe and Foley came to the center of the ring, and fist bumped in a quick gesture of respect. The two started feeling each other out, cautiously grabbing for wrist control. They eventually hooked a collar and elbow tie up, which each one taking turns trying to push off to get the leverage advantage. Foley had the opponent in a waistlock but the champion broke free and, with a standing switch, moved behind the challenger’s back pushing Eliza against the ropes and trying to score a first pinfall with an O’Connor roll. Foley kicked out in two and quickly popped up to her feet, staring at the younger opponent with an indecipherable look on her face, a mix of pride for what Megan accomplished so far and indignation for thinking a simple roll up so early in the match could take her out. But mostly, she was focused, well aware of the caliber of competition the IC champion represents. Then out of the blue Eliza hit a hard forearm to the jaw and continued laying down the onslaught on the mat. Foley then went for an armbar, but Megan slipped out from between her legs. The two were now standing on their feet, and Monroe charged at Foley and jumped legs first to lock in an armbar, rolling back down to the mat. Eliza followed through with the momentum of the roll and escaped the submission attempt. The two competitors stood up to their feet and intensely stared at each other receiving the first of potentially many rounds of applause. Ambra Monroe: “The start of the match you don’t expect...” Amy Maynard: “It makes sense though, they know each other so well they might as well try to surprise the opponent with something new and unexpected.” Peyton Holland: “And remember they’re only allowed three rope breaks. I have a feeling we’ll see several submission attempts in the early going, taking that possibility away from your opponent can surely open interesting scenarios later in the match.” The match restarted with Eliza swingin and missing with the right hook, ducked by Megan who then hit the ropes. The challenger dropped on the mat and forced Monroe to leap over her body and continue her run. On the return, it was the IC champion who ducked under Eliza’s leapfrog. Third time ricocheting off the ropes, Meg went for a sling blade, finally taking the former Riot champion down. Wasting no time, she sprinted once again and jumped on the middle rope, flying back with a springboard moonsault. Foley rolled out of the way and Monroe was able to correct the trajectory and land on her feet, delivering a shotgun dropkick that sent Eliza tumbling through the ropes. The athletic Colorado born jumped up to a vertical basis and took a look at the opponent who was picking herself up on the outside. Her intention was clear the moment she sprung toward the ropes diving through them with a tope suicida. So clear that Foley saw that coming and countered it with an uppercut that blasted Megan and left her hanging on the middle rope. Eliza pulled her out into a suplex to the concrete floor. Sir Figgles: “Remember, it’s a twenty count tonight. Plenty of time to do a lot of damage.” Eliza Foley was the last person you’d want to find yourself outside the ring with. First she wore Megan further down with some vicious stomps, then she picked her up and whipped her head first into the steel post. She slowly walked up to the stunned opponent, grabbing her by the back of her head to slam her face once again into the cold steel. Monroe wasn’t getting any of that and pushed her elbow backward into the challenger’s stomach. Megan turned around but before she could do anything, Eliza delivered a violent chop to the chest, knocking the wind out of the IC champion. Another one hit her and pushed her against the post where she was met with a third chop. Foley then went for a forearm strike but Megan squatted down and the Mysterious Girl hit the post. Hard. Amy Maynard: “Big mistake from Eliza here…” Megan obviously started targeting that arm, driving it onto the post and the steel steps, twisting it behind Eliza’s back and dropping her onto it with a hammerlock suplex. Then finally she pushed the challenger under the bottom rope, entering the ring when the ref’s count reached seventeen and immediately going for an armbar. Sir Figgles: “She’s too close to the ropes, I’m surprised Megan would make such a trivial mistake.” Ambra Monroe: “Maybe it’s not a mistake, maybe Megan just wants Eliza to waste the first of her rope breaks.” The smile on Megan’s face when the referee called for the break seemed to confirm the theory. And if anybody needed further proof, Megan went for a second armbar right away. Eliza realized what her plan was and rather than taking the easy way out and wasting a second rope break, she tried to wrestle her way out of the submission. She rolled on the canvas, trying to slip out of the excruciating hold but Monroe rolled along her and kept the arm locked in. Every other attempt Eliza made ended up the same way, leaving her no choice but to spend the second rope break. Megan then flipped the opponent to a seated position with a snapmare and delivered a soccer kick to the back and a legdrop in quick succession. She then stood next to the challenger with her back turned to her and performed a beautiful standing moonsault. Eliza countered by raising her knees and quickly rolling up the champion and pinning her to the canvas. Megan kicked out in two and pulled herself up, only to get hit by a vicious chick kick to the side of the head that turned off the lights for her. Peyton Holland: “371 days, could this be how it all ends?” Ambra Monroe: “Not so fast, there’s still fight left in the champ!” The following minutes saw Eliza slowing down the pace to control the match. She shifted between various rest holds to wear down the opponent and, why not? Catching some much needed breath herself after a tiring and long match. She even forced Megan to spend two rope breaks: one with an ankle lock and the second to escape a Boston crab. Monroe made it up to her feet and received a knee to the face that staggered her. Foley set her up for the Mysterious Girl but the champion stepped up the nearby corner to project herself over Eliza’s head to take her down with a shiranui, followed by the Mega Kick before Foley could get up. Still not enough to keep the first Millennium champion down. Amy Maynard: “What a battle this has been so far!” Sir Figgles: “Eliza Foley is the cornerstone this company has been built on, Megan has been the backbone of MWE for the past two years.. Were you expecting anything less?” Ambra Monroe: “I don’t know if I agree with this statement, it sounds like a slap in the face to the rest of the locker room who made MWE the company it is today. I’m thinking of the likes of Melissa Reeves…” Peyton Holland: “Sorry to interrupt you Ambra, but this might be the turning point of the match!” In an unexpected turn of events, right when Megan seemed in full control, Eliza slipped away from her grasp and dropped the Intercontinental Champion into the corner with a russian leg sweep. Her head impacted hard on the turnbuckle and Monoe looked visibly stunned. Eliza crouched in front of her and raised her chin, saying something about how good Megan did and how proud she made her. But her time was up, she came back to reclaim her spot at the top of the company she built. Amy Maynard: “Say My Name!” Sir Figgles: “It’s Amy, I think… Unless you lied to me all this time..” Amy Maynard: “Shut up, Figgles! It’s the name of Eliza’s Dragon Sleeper! Meg is fading out already!” Eliza’s submission move was locked in tightly, her arms squeezing the life out of Megan and her legs wrapped around the champion’s torso in a body scissors were making it hard for her to escape. Her best shot was reaching the ropes, so close and yet they looked so far. Inch by inch Monroe dragged herself toward salvation, a titanic effort that, eventually, allowed her to stay into the match. Foley let her go almost immediately, dragging the champion up to her feet and quickly nailing her with the Mysterious Girl. Amy Maynard: “She did it! We have a new champion!” Sir Figgles: “Hold up, Megan’s foot is on the ropes…” Peyton Holland: “It is, but she’s out of rope breaks.. She used the third one to escape the Say My Name.” Ambra Monroe: “I was just about to say it. Here comes the one, the two and three! A reign that lasted over a year came to an end tonight!” The fans were on their feet cheering for Eliza as she was handed the Intercontinental Championship. The same standing ovation was reserved to Megan Monroe. She might not be a fan favorite for her attitude, but nobody could ever deny and take away what she accomplished in a year as champion. And the incredible performance she put up tonight, an epic battle the MWE fans will remember for a long time. WINNER: Eliza Foley (NEW MWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP) BY: Pinfall (Mysterious Girl), 26:48 |
Peyton Holland:
It's over! Megan's incredible run as Intercontinental champion has come to an end!
Ambra Monroe:
This has been the second longest reign in the company's history, only 25 days away from Tiffany's record set as Cloud Gate champion.
Ambra Monroe:
And considering the history between them, you have to believe this stings...
Sir Figgles:
You're out here talking about numbers, but that's just what they are. Sure, she would've loved to set the record, but nobody can take away what she has done for that title and for the company.
Peyton Holland:
Absolutely. Anyway, it's time to call it a night ladies and gentlemen. See you tomorrow for night 2 of Dark Web III!
