The Gym March 30, 2021 3:20 PM
Faizah Marshall is dressed down into her gym gear, her gym bag slung over her shoulder. She made her way to the student training area and once she made it to the door, JJ Night cut her off there first, his hand on the handle. Faizah looked at JJ and scoffed.
Faizah Marshall: Excuse me? You just cut me off and I reserved this time to train alone.
JJ furrowed his brow and tilted his head.
JJ Night: You ‘reserved’ it? Huh? Is that the perks of being the big dog around here now? You don’t need to hog the gym to yourself, there’s enough room for us both to put in work; okay?
Faizah waved her finger in JJ’s face as she shook her head.
Faizah Marshall: No, no, no! You’re not getting an edge in on me! I know how you are JJ. You’re just like the rest of them, just like Faith! I don’t trust you. So you can be a good boy and wait your turn.
Faizah patted his head but JJ pushed her hand away.
JJ Night: Don’t patronize me. Whatever though. Enjoy the workout. I’ll wait out here and warm up until you’re done.
Faizah flashed a fake smile before she opened the door and closed it behind her.
——-
We move forward to the end of Faizah’s workout. She looked around suspiciously before reaching into her gym bag, pulling out a screw driver. She walked over to a treadmill, the one she knew that JJ habitually used to warm up on before weight training. Faizah looked around again before she went to work, loosening the screws to the sidebars of the treadmill. She finished before she quickly slid the tool back into her bag and headed towards the door. She opened it up and took a deep breath and exhaled while wiping herself with a towel.
Faizah Marshall: It’s all yours. Not like it matters, you’re not going to beat me.
JJ stood up from the ground where he was stretching and shook his head.
JJ Night: You can doubt me all you want but I’m used to being the underdog. When I beat you though? People will stop doubting me and they’ll see that I’m more than just a family name. Got that?
Faizah rolled her eyes.
Faizah Marshall: Save the speech for somebody who cares.
She waved JJ off before disappearing down the hall. Night simply let out a light laugh.
JJ Night: She sure has changed the last few months. Oh well.
Night walked into the gym and sure enough, he went straight for the treadmill that Faizah had tampered with. He set the program to gradually speed up as time went on. JJ did a light jog until it ramped up. Eventually it got to the point where the speed was to the point where JJ needed to hold onto the sidebars of the treadmill but they collapsed under the force of his weight and speed.
JJ Night: Oh shit!
JJ dropped down with a hard thud onto the treadmill that had been going top speed and it soon threw his body into the front of the treadmill, bouncing off of the machine hard before landing onto the floor in pain holding onto his ribs. A few moments passed when Cash soon walked into the room and she saw JJ on the ground next to the ‘broken’ machine.
Cash Blye: JJ!!!
She ran up to him before kneeling next to him and placing a hand on his arm.
Cash Blye: Are you okay!? What happened?
He groaned.
JJ Night: I don’t know… the sidebars just gave way but I’m fine.
He tried to get up but he groaned in pain as he grabbed his ribs again.
JJ Night: Maybe not.
Cash Blye: Stay out and no more moving!! I’ll go get help.

- Dez whipped the stunned Rian into the turnbuckle, and quickly followed it up with a step up enziguri. Rian flopped to the mat and the son of team Ali's leader left the ring and climbed to the turnbuckle, perching on the top rope until Ellis picked himself up. Then he jumped, taking him down with a meteora into a pin for a long count of two.
- Ellis laid a hard kick to Ali's shin and followed with a bunch of chops to the chest to back Dez into the turnbuckles. Rian reared down and then came barreling in at full speed with a vicious jumping knee to the Bad Boy's face, shifting into a headlock to explode out of the corner with a bulldog.
- Rian tried to stay on the offensive by springing off the ropes and going for a running shooting star press, but Ali escaped just in time and he got planted on his face. Dez sprinted toward the ropes as well and came back with a springboard moonsault, obtaining another count of two.

- After pushing Ellis back in the ring, Ali went for a springboard superman punch, but a perfectly timed dropkick from Rian knocked him down.
- Quickly dragging the opponent up to his feet, Ellis landed some knee strikes to the face before dropping him on his head with an implant ddt, getting a two count.
- Ellis obtained another near fall after a running single leg dropkick. As the referee told him that it was only a two count, the Miami born started showing some signs of frustration.
- Dez tried to make a comeback but a superkick to the chin killed his momentum. Ellis then took it to the sky and connected with the frog splash for the 1,2,3.
WINNER: Rian Ellis BY: Pinfall (Frog Splash), 11:23 |
Singles MatchFaizah Marshall VS Cash Blye - Faizah didn't seem too happy to be here. And understandably so, she was supposed to be preparing herself for her first ppv defense in two days, but the injury suffered by JJ Night derailed her plans. Cash, on the other hand, looked thrilled by the opportunity to measure herself against the Gold Star and even offered a handshake to start the match. Marshall stared at her hand for a while then, reluctantly, shook it.
- They shuffled around, trying to gain leverage and eventually Blye was pushed back into the turnbuckles. The two struggled to gain any advantage until the referee broke the two apart and ordered them to go back to the center of the ring. Faizah took a couple of steps back to allow her opponent to get out of the corner but then suddenly grabbed her arm and pulled Cash into a clothesline.
- Faizah whipped Cash into the ropes and then delivered a heavy shoulder check. Blye popped up to her feet and charged at the Gold Star who sidestepped and jumped up to catch her with a dropkick on the rebound. But Cash hung onto the ropes causing her to fall flat on her back and then leveled her with a shining wizard as the champion tried to get up.
- They went back at it again with a collar and elbow tie up, but this time Faizah hit an exploder suplex. Blye was immediately back to her feet and Faizah whipped her in the corner. Cash managed to reverse it followed it with a double high knee to the face.
- Showing her impressive speed and agility, Cash obtained another near fall with a diving crossbody.
- Faizah was in difficulty now, and even when she got somewhat of a break by blocking Cash' right punch and whipped her against the ropes, she found herself back on the canvas as Cash caught her with a running spanish fly.
- The match wasn't going the way she hoped, but the Gold Star was able to turn the tides with a shotgun dropkick that sent Cash into the corner.
- Showing a more aggressive side, Marshall climbed on the middle rope and dropped a total of ten haymakers to the opponent's face.
- After the ten punches, Marshall sat the stunned opponent on the top rope and went for a superplex, floating into a quick cover attempt as they hit the mat. Blye raised her shoulder in time.
- Cash almost got the win with a small package, but Faizah wasn't caught off guard. She was caught though with a superkick to the mush, but it wasn't enough to keep her down.
- Back again to the center of the ring, the two young girls were now trading hard strikes. Faizah came out on top from the exchange and decked Cash with a bicycle knee strike.
- The springboard moonsault Marshall performed a moment later was a thing of beauty. And, most importantly, allowed her to score the three.
WINNER: Faizah Marshall BY: Pinfall (Springboard Moonsault), 13:13 |
