Millennium LXXIX
Live from Expo Hall in Tampa, FL
Wednesday, March 17th, 2021
We open backstage where, in the middle of the hall, we find a door that reads “Will Maim For Food”...it sits on hinges to prop it up but there are no walls, no room, nothing. Just a door. Just beyond the door Kimberly Williams sits at a table with her Dalek. The SCW Lizard Championship title belt rests upon the table. Jessica Lasiewicz, one half of the MWE World Tag Team Champions, emerges into the scene. Jessica is carrying a brown paper bag with her.
Jessica Lasiewicz
Kim, I…
Kimberly Williams:
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!
The Woman Scorned points at the door.
Kimberly Williams:
Knock before entering a room!
Jessica Lasiewicz
But this isn’t a…
The Archangel stops as she sees how insistent her half-sister is. Jessica sighs and steps to the door and knocks.
Kimberly Williams:
Come in!
The door opens and Jessica Lasiewicz steps through the door. The Archangel appears rather annoyed by this time.
Jessica Lasiewicz
May I come in?
Kimberly Williams:
Of course! Have a seat by Dalek, I promise he won’t exterminate you!
Dalek:
EXTERMINATE!
Kimberly Williams:
Hush with that talk! Do NOT make a liar out of me, Dalek!
Lasiewicz rolls her eyes as she approaches the table and takes a seat.
Kimberly Williams:
So what can I do for my favorite half-sister in the whole wide universe?
Jessica Lasiewicz
I thought about taking you up on your offer.
Williams looks confused at first. Then Lasiewicz reaches into the bag and pulls out what appears to be a wrapped up sandwich of some sort. She hands it to Kimberly. The Lizard Champion unwraps the sandwich and grins from ear to ear as she sees that this is, indeed, a chili cheeseburger.
Kimberly Williams:
It’s a chili cheeseburger…
Jessica Lasiewicz
That’s right.
Kimberly Williams:
So who do I need to kill?
The Archangel rolls her eyes.
Jessica Lasiewicz
You don’t need to kill anyone...I would have brought two chili cheeseburgers and a feather boa if I needed you to murder someone. I remember your prices. I just need someone to watch my back tonight in the World Tag Team Championship Match. If anyone tries to get involved on behalf of the Eldons or if Karen and Clyde try to cheat again, feel free to do your worst to them.
Kimberly Williams:
Oh is that all? Hell, you’re family! I would have done that for free!
Jessica Lasiewicz
I know but the protection covers Summer as well and I know you’re not particularly fond of her.
Williams nods her head.
Kimberly Williams:
Oh yeah. Well, in that case you’ve just hired yourself a hitman...or hitwoman? Assassin?
Jessica Lasiewicz
Doesn’t matter. Just make sure you get the job done.
The Lizard Champion playfully salutes.
Kimberly Williams:
Aye, aye sir!
Jessica smirks as she gets up and walks away. Kimberly immediately digs into her chili cheeseburger.
Singles Match
Sad Max VS Luna w/ West LongThe seventy-ninth episode of Millennium opened up with a match between ROTTEN’s Sad Max and the former Lockdown and Junior Heavyweight champion Luna. Smith. The Star Of The Night walked to the ring accompanied by her bodyguard West Long while Max could rely on Micaela in his corner. The referee had words with both seconds, telling them that he would have zero tolerance for interference. How and if he would be able to live up to his claim would have to be seen, but at least in the opening minutes it looked like his words had the desired effect. The Warwolf was a block of ice, standing still and limiting himself to watch Luna’s back. Micaela instead was very vocal, supporting Max and applauding every move. And rightfully so, as Max was impressive in the first minutes of the contest, surprising Luna with an uber-aggressive and reckless style. After sending Luna out of the ring with a clothesline close to the ropes, the member of ROTTEN launched himself on the blonde girl with a suicide dive.West did what you expect a bodyguard to do, pushing Luna out of the way and taking a bullet for her. This obviously gave rise to a protest from Micaela, who expected to see the official taking action against Long. Imagine her disappointment and anger when the Warwolf got away with a warning. Luna slid Max under the bottom rope and entered the ring, taking on The Living Corpse with some Krav Maga strikes. Knee after knee, she knocked the young man down and climbed to the top rope. She was ready to go for the Stardom, the sparkle splash that earned her so many wins on both brands. And now it was Micaela who made her presence felt, pulling Max out of the way. Long complained with the referee, who had had enough and sent both him and Micaela backstage. Four men were now protesting, voicing their dissent to the referee who looked adamant in his decision. The protest was still going, even, Max tried to capitalize with a schoolboy pin but Luna rolled through and kneed him in the face. The referee was still dealing with Long and Micaela who were refusing to leave and he missed a few moments before getting in position to make the count, thus allowing Max to kick out in two. Luna was livid, yelling (rightfully this time) at the young official whose attempt to enforce the rules wasn’t going as planned. But then… Someone was seen hopping the barricade, behind West who was still having his heated discussion with Micaela. The referee spotted him and tried to tell him to leave, but go figure if he listened! West turned around right when the man raised his head and pulled down his hoodie. “That’s.. ANDREW RAYNES!??!!” Peyton Holland pointed out from the commentary booth, immediately recognising the veteran GCW superstar standing in front of the towering Long. Before you know, Raynes charged at the Warwolf and planted him on the concrete floor with his patented The Xclamation Point. Everybody looked in shock as West was lying motionless on the floor and Andrew stood tall, placing his foot on the big man’s back in a conqueror pose. Micaela took advantage of the chaos and referee’s distraction to slide in the ring and plant Luna with the Capitalism Is Dead (leaping complete shot), leaving the ring before the referee turned around. As he did, all he saw was Max making the cover on Luna and picking up his first singles win on the green brand. WINNER: Sad Max BY: Pinfall (Capitalism Is Dead), 9:46 |
We cut backstage where we see Matt Stone, your hero and mine, getting ready for his match a little later tonight. Of course he’s not in a good mood, despite coming off a win last week because some genius thought it’d be a good idea to team him with mortal enemy Crystal Hilton.
Matt Stone:
I can’t believe some genius thought it’d be a good idea to team me with my mortal enemy!
He’s talking to himself, though the door is open and that allows just about anyone to hear him loudly decrying his ‘partner’. Walking through the door with her hips swinging, a pair of shades on top of her dark blue hair is Christina Rose. The blossoming rose chuckles as she quickly walks up to Matt and places a hand on his shoulder.
Christina Rose:
If I didn’t know any better I could have swore I overheard you saying that you are absolutely delighted to team up with your best FEMALE friend Crystal insert whatever you wish to call me this week. I mean who wouldn’t love to team up with someone as beautiful as me. I am perfect in every single way and besides you get to stand on an apron and watch my rearview. You always loved that right?!
Christina shakes her head with a grin as she looks at him.
Christina Rose:
Although I guess you might be salty seeing as I am the superior wrestler between the two of us and I know how to SHUT YOU UP!!! Me returning to MWE was an even bigger surprise than who shot Mr. Burns! You never saw it coming.
Matt just loudly sighs for a moment trying to figure out what stupidity to correct first.
Matt Stone:
Who shot Mr. Burns was a mystery, not a surprise and much like Maggie Simpson, you are the disappointment that just keeps on giving. You can’t possibly think you’re perfect when you lost last week. You tried to be all fancy and it bit you in that big butt of yours. You will be doing no such thing tonight. You’re going to sit in the corner, watch someone who puts wrestler first and maybe, just MAYBE you’ll learn something if there’s any room left in your head that’s otherwise full of Sailor Moon knowledge and bad acting advice.
Christina sighs even louder as she claps her hands in front of Matt.
Christina Rose:
First of all Sailor Moon is AMAZING. Even though she might be a bit of a klutz, a bit of an airhead, and occasionally super annoying to all of her friends. She is a good natured person and a true hero. Reminds me of myself. Second I can’t give bad acting advice when I am like the best ever. Third instead of us trying to be at each other’s throats why don’t we actually manage to work together so we both can pull out a big win. We can both agree that we don’t deserve to be at the bottom of the card. Let’s get it together so we can return to being the headliners that we know we can be. Once we get there I can wreck you and move on to something bigger.
Matt Stone:
I’m only at the bottom cause of you!
He shouts out immediately, rolling his eyes.
Matt Stone:
I could very well be Intercontinental champion right now if you hadn't interfered in my match you Meatball head! And why is us working as a team third of all on your priorities? You even put acting and a cartoon higher than your career and you wonder why you’re at the bottom. You want to work as a team, whatever, anything to get this over with but don’t think I’m going to forget about you costing me my chance at finally winning a championship here. I haven’t done anything noteworthy since signing with Millennium last year and I’m not going to let Crystal three-marriages cost me anything else, you understand?
Christina just rolls her eyes in return.
Christina Rose:
And I haven’t done anything since debuting in his company so how are we going to fix this?! Because you could have been my tuxedo mask but you chose to constantly tell me how sorry ass I am. Well everyone knows you love my ass! You love this. So just SHUT UP and yes I will make you SHUT UP! Let’s just focus and do what we need to do! It could be like old times!
Matt Stone:
For God’s sake will you stop talking about your ass and take something seriously? Especially when you’re in a company with Karen Eldon, it’s literally not even close! I have zero interest in forming a tag team with anyone right now, especially you, so if we can just get this over with that’d be great.
Christina just sighs as she crosses her arms.
Christina Rose:
Fine! Let it be known though that as soon as this is over I plan to put you in your place because we will have a match and I will beat you. Although I do have one thing I wish to leave you with before our match tonight.
Christina finally grins as she looks back at Matt.
Matt Stone:
If it’s that shit-eating grin that’s on your face, you can keep it.
Matt’s quick to reply before walking passed her towards the door, looking back for just a second.
Matt Stone:
You can enjoy the view of me leaving, I won’t judge.
He laughs as he makes his exit. Christina grows before she reaches into her pocket pulling out a little vial as she gets angry chucking it against the wall.
Christina Rose:
WHATEVER...Let’s just go win!
She does her best to catch up to him.
Tag Team Match
Warblade 42 VS Matt Stone & Christina Rose
First tag match of the night saw Warblade 42 taking on the odd pairing of Christina Rose and Matt Stone. To say that they weren’t on the same page was the understatement of the year, they couldn’t even agree on who should’ve started the match. Matt eventually gave up, raising his hands and moving to the corner to let Christina start hostilities. The bell rang while Crystal was still bickering with her own partner, and when she turned around. she ate a superkick from Niko. Stone rolled his eyes and stepped back into the ring to break up the Blade Maiden Of Tokyo’s pinning predicament and rub it in his partner’s face. For the following minutes, The Blossoming Rose looked completely at the mercy of Warblade 42. Niko and Valkyrie used quick tags to stay ahead of the competition, basically fighting the first part of the match in a numerical advantage. Countless tag team maneuvers gave them as many near falls, but to Crystal’s credit, she always managed to kick out without Matt’s help, and did it with a fair margin. She even managed to slip away from the Switching Suplex and rush to make the tag to her partner getting a much needed break. Stone’s impact on the match was quite forgettable as he entered the ring and ran right into a double dropkick from the two women, But after that, he was able to turn things around, sending Niko into the corner and connecting with a knee to the face. He then ground her face against the top rope, dragging her along all the way to the opposite corner where he slammed her head against Christina’s foot. He even asked her if she wanted in, showing, at the very least, an intention to work together with the rival. And it worked, for a while. Matt and Christina put their difference away for the time being and managed to get on the same page, collecting a couple of near falls on Yua with Matt’s MLG 360 No Scope (elevated ace crusher) followed by a 450 splash from Crystal and with a not technically perfect but effective wheelbarrow codebreaker. It was good until it lasted, but a simple miscommunication between them gave Niko an opening to plant Christina on her head with a ddt and tag Vee back in. But most importantly broke that fragile trust that they built with difficulty through this match. The Big Dane Bitch imposed her physicality on Christina, catching her with a german suplex while she was blaming her partner for the previous situation. Matt was reaching the limit, and you can be sure the idea of walking out on his partner crossed his mind. But cooler minds prevailed and he stayed at his place, saving Rose from the Hammer Of Thor and offering the tag when she needed it. He even worked hard in the following minutes to wear down the Dane powerhouse, almost picking up the win with his Stone Cutter. But Christina wanted the glory for herself, tagging herself in while Matt was waiting for Valkyrie to stand up, ready to strike with his C-c-c-c Combo Breaker. This resulted in a heated argument between the two that gave Valkyrie the chance to crawl to her corner where Yua was waiting for her with her hand stretched out. Matt realized and called her partner who tried to prevent the tag with a desperate run. But it was too late, Niko was already in and loading her elbow to knock the charging opponent out with the Meteor Strike. Stone didn’t even try to save her, shaking his head in disappointment. And after the match he made sure his partner knew exactly how he was feeling, picking her up and piledriving her into the canvas. WINNER: Warblade 42 BY: Pinfall (Meteor Strike), 10:04 |
Looking into the mirror we see one half of the challengers in the Tag Team title match later tonight. Karen Eldon. Putting on a dash of gold make up on, her ring gear gold as well. Her message clearly being sent loud and clear as to what she plans on finishing the ensemble with later on tonight. As we pan out further the rest of the Eldon’s are close by. Erika is donning a Eldon Family T-Shirt, not the biggest merch mover but one that MWE sells none the less. Clyde is standing by fixing up his gold trunks as well.
Clyde Eldon Jr:
I think I prefer black, it is slimming…
Toying with the gold jacket he puts on as well, as Karen turns to him seeming way too happy as though the result is already foregone.
Karen Eldon:
Going forward gold is all we wear now sweetie. We are going to take home these belts tonight. We are going to finally put these two little losers Fabulous in the rear view. And finally we are going to sit at the top where we belong. I may have fallen short in my singles title attempt but tonight? We are not losing! I don’t care how many other little tag teams try to stop us.
Eldon switches back to the mirror to fix her hair, wanting to look her very best for what she perceives to be her crowning later tonight. But as she looks in the mirror she gets a glimpse of Elsa McCarthy walking through the halls. Elsa is talking to a staff member about production and doesn’t see she is walking into a Eldon trap until it is too late. She tries to make a quick exit from the area but is caught by Karen.
Karen Eldon:
Elsa! It is so great to see you. I am sure tonight is a really big night for you and the company right. I mean your star team, The Eldons finally taking the Tag Team Championships we so deserve. Main eventing a great show might I add…
Elsa McCarthy:
Well actually Hammerstein and Dusty Douglas are the main event…
Elsa is all too quick to point this out to Karen who hasn’t exactly been the easiest to work with over her time. While Karen’s face would seem to show some annoyance by the correction she is quick to put on a fake smile.
Karen Eldon:
I mean two main event’s! What a show. Just wanted to say you have been doing a great job around here...I have only had to send a few emails to Grace about your performance of late. And going forward with us as your Tag Champions? I am sure we will have a great relationship. So long as you obviously take all of our requests into account. Like we are going to need a bigger locker room going forward as champions…
Eager to get away from the conversation Elsa fakes a smile as well.
Elsa McCarthy:
We’ll look into it...Good luck tonight!
Elsa says this then turns rolling her eyes making a quick exit with the staff member she came down the hallway with. While Karen does seem frustrated with her leaving so quickly she can’t help but be in a good mood.
Karen Eldon:
Tonight is our night…
Karen says this while walking back to her children, Erika claps her on as Clyde punches his fist into his other palm looking ready to try to end this rivalry for good tonight.
Singles Match
Romeo Chavez Jr. VS BROOKFORDMr No Hype Needed didn’t make a positive impression with the MWE fans in his first match for the company two weeks ago. Not for his undoubted skills that allowed him to pick up a convincing win against Morag Bean, but for his attitude, apparently uncaring about the fans and what they may think. Not that BROOKFORD had a much better relationship with them, though during his entrance tonight he was caught flashing a half smile to his fellow Underground superstar and friend Skylar Rayner sitting in the front row, but if anything the New York born was a familiar face among the fans, and earned their respect. Not that of his partner apparently, as El Serpiente got in his face and, after rattling off what we can assume were insults in spanish, he slapped BROOKFORD across the cheek. Bad mistake. The Problem Solver immediately blasted him with a punch right on the mush, flattening the Mexican. BROOKFORD shrugged and made the cover, pretty sure he had the match won already. He didn’t, but he got extremely close as Romeo kicked out at the very last moment. Regardless, the match was already downhill for the Problem Solver, thanks to that single, terrific shot. Near falls kept coming in rapid succession as BROOKFORD was doing whatever he wanted to do to the young opponent, throwing and slamming him around with ridiculous ease, in and out of the ring. In one of his rare offenses, Chavez managed to drop the former UG Dynasty champion on his head with a ddt. As BROOKFORD was getting up to his feet, Romeo entered the ring to interrupt the count and sprinted at the ropes on the opposite side to gain some speed so that he could easily fly over the top rope with a tope con hilo. BROOKFORD caught him in mid air and drove him through the announcers’ table, apologizing to Peyton and Ambra for destroying their desk. There was a moment halfway into the contest when Romeo, despite everything he had been put through, turned the tides in his favor, making it look like he could take home the win. How did he do it? Well, let’s say it was a mix of timeliness, luck and a broad interpretation of the rules. He was in the corner, struggling and hanging desperately on the ropes while BROOKFORD was trying to german suplex him. A fight he was doomed to lose against the stronger man. With BROOKFORD’s last yank, Romeo literally ripped the protective pad from the top turnbuckle, but somehow managed to land on his feet behind the Problem Solver’s back. At that point the referee was busy putting the pad back in place and didn’t see Chavez kicking the big man right between the legs. He then spun BROOKFORD around and pushed him into the corner. The referee moved to the side to avoid being trampled by BROOKFORD, who ended up head first against the exposed turnbuckle. Romeo rolled him on his back and even used the ropes for leverage, but BROOKFORD kicked out anyway. For the following two minutes or so Chavez stayed in control, taking advantage of the fact that BROOKFORD was still stunned by the hard impact. But his dreams of making a name for himself at the expense of BROOKFORD ended when he blocked his kick and threw him halfway across the ring with an exploder suplex, charging at full speed and spearing him as soon as he got up to his feet. Then, without wasting a further second, he ended the match in his usual fashion with the dragon screw neck whip. Another Problem... Solved for the 33 years old. WINNER: BROOKFORD BY: Pinfall (Problem… Solved), 10:37 |
A camera finds Lowri Moss in a corridor somewhere backstage at Expo Hall, who can be seen warming up ahead of her upcoming match, dressed in her ring attire and one of her Irish Whip Clothing branded t-shirts. Extending her left arm straight out, she kicks her right leg upwards to strike the palm of her outstretched hand, before then holding her right hand out instead, and repeating the motion with her left leg. She continues to loosen up her hamstrings for several more seconds with alternating kicks, going progressively higher, until she becomes aware of the presence of the camera, at which point she stops her routine, and turns her head to look at it.
Lowri Moss:
Looking to get some comments from me regarding my match tonight?
The cameraman moves the camera up and down to nod, confirming the Cloud Gate Champion’s educated guess to be correct.
Lowri Moss:
Alright. I suppose I can give you a few words.
She turns her body to fully face the camera.
Lowri Moss:
Okay, so, we’re now just two and a half weeks away from Dark Web III, when I’ll be making my first defence of the Cloud Gate title, against a challenger who-- as far as I’m aware-- is yet to be decided. Tonight though, I take on a man who appears to have a big match of his own scheduled for Dark Web-- a match that could potentially see him claim a future shot at the MWE world title.
She is of course referring to Joey Leclair.
Lowri Moss:
Night two of Domino Effect, the night that ended with me becoming the Cloud Gate Champion, was also the night that saw Joey Leclair appear on an MWE show for the first time after a two month absence, and he wasted little time in making his intentions clear, declaring that he wanted to fight the woman who he considers to be the face of the promotion. Admittedly, he didn’t explicitly state who it was that he was referring to, but I think most people probably would’ve guessed - correctly - that he was referring to Melissa Reeves-- some people might argue with such a description being attributed to Melissa, but I thought it was spot on. And as I just alluded to, it now looks like at Dark Web he is indeed going to get the match that he wants with Melissa… but in the more immediate future he has another match on his plate-- a match with the woman who beat the face of the promotion: me.
A smirk crosses her face.
Lowri Moss:
When my talents were being courted by Elsa McCarthy and Vincent Moretti, matches like this were one of the reasons why I ultimately decided that I wanted to join Millennium. When I signed my contract last month, I mentioned that the roster contained a few wrestlers I had crossed paths with previously, but that it also contained numerous wrestlers who I had never been in a ring with before, meaning there were plenty of potential opportunities for me to be part of some never-before-seen matchups. And now, after having renewed acquaintances with, first, Melissa Reeves, and then, Christina Rose… now I’m getting to have one such match. Joey has himself said that he is looking forward to sharing the ring with a new opponent, and I too am looking forward to facing some new competition, having a fresh challenge to overcome, all while maintaining my momentum ahead of that aforementioned first title defence at Dark Web III.
Lowri pauses to take a breath. She then continues.
Lowri Moss:
Joey Leclair calls himself “The Prodigy,” which I think is probably a bit of a misnomer, seeing as he's now in his late twenties, and has been wrestling for a decade. In all seriousness though, I know he has returned to Millennium hungry and motivated, with his sights set on reaching the very top of the promotion, and he may well go on to get there. A victory for him tonight against me would certainly send a message to Melissa ahead of their match at Dark Web, and I expect him to give this match everything he has in order to try to come away with the win, just like I will.
She places her hands on her hips.
Lowri Moss:
Joey isn’t the only one in this match who has lofty goals. He talked about wanting to face the best that this promotion has to offer, and even though I’m the Cloud Gate Champion, I’m not sure I’m in that category just yet, as I’ve only been here a matter of weeks. In time though, I do want to be known as one of the best, if not the best, and winning matches like this one, beating opponents like Joey Leclair, will help me move towards that. There might not be any titles or title shots at stake in this match, but you’re going to see two competitors who take great pride in what they do, both giving their all with the aim of being the one that gets their hand raised at the end.
She lets out a small sigh.
Lowri Moss:
Joey likes to talk about never giving up. Well, he may well be about to find out just how stubborn-- how tenacious-- Lowri Moss can be. Rwy'n ast fach ddygn.
Lowri gives a wink to the camera, before it then cuts away.
Backstage at the ready area we find the duo known as Fabulous. Tonight, however, is not about looking Fabulous. Tonight is about going to war and Summer Collins and her tag team partner Jessica Lasiewicz are dressed for war tonight. Summer has her MWE World Tag Team Championship belt wrapped around her waist and the GCW Global Tag Team Championship belt draped over her right shoulder. The Archangel has her MWE World tag Team Championship belt draped over her right shoulder and the GCW Global Tag Team Championship belt draped over her left shoulder.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
Zajęło ci to zbyt dużo czasu. Teraz, gdy przybyłeś, może rozpocząć się zniszczenie.
The Archangel’s eyes are filled with rage. Summer Collins just chuckles nastily.
Summer Collins:
For far too long MWE has been forced to listen to the incessant whining, bitching, and moaning from a pair of entitled clowns who think the world owes them something. Listen closely to what I have to say, Karen and Clyde, because this is something you need to hear; the world owes you nothing. This company owes you nothing. This is a brutal, cutthroat, deadly sport where you have to fight, claw, and pay the price to earn everything. These championships that me and Jessica now possess? We earned them. We have went to war with some of the toughest, deadliest of tag teams in this sport, not just in MWE, in order to build up a reputation, in order to gain a foothold. Then we came to MWE and we had to fight the best teams this company had to offer. Teams like Singh and Adelson, BreeTee, Bad Boyz, APE, we had to go through them all. But we emerged victorious. We have earned the right to call ourselves the very best tag team in the world today.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
But what have you earned? What exactly have Karen and Clyde Eldon earned? You have won a few noteworthy victories but all of them, every single one of them, you had to cheat to win. What that tells me is that you cannot do a god damn thing on your own abilities. What that tells me is that without dirty tricks, without the underhanded tactics, without the cheating you are a pair of talentless bitches. And you think you can cheat your way to the top of the mountain? It may have got you to a championship match but that’s as far as you are getting. There is something you entitled imbeciles did not count on.
The Archangel smirks knowingly.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
Co możesz zrobić, my możemy zrobić lepiej.
Summer Collins:
Jess is right, you two have been using every dirty trick in the book to advance your career. I’m not one to judge as I have used questionable tactics myself from time to time. But if you think that your games will be your ticket to overthrowing Fabulous then you are just fooling yourselves. Because this is no longer just about defeating you and retaining our tag team championships. This is war. And the fact is that there are no rules to warfare. And the type of warfare we will be waging, a TOTAL WAR, we will be fighting to eliminate you.
Lasiewicz nods her head.
Jessica Lasiewicz:
And this war between you two and Fabulous, it ends tonight. And understand that when you are lying in a bloody heap, battered and bruised, knowing that you have failed to capture the titles and questioning whether or not you will even be able to fucking walk again, I want you to understand very clearly that you brought all of this upon yourself. The destruction, the violence, the brutality, you brought all of it upon yourselves.
Summer Collins:
And there will be no excuses for your failure. Oh I’m sure you will manage to come up with some ridiculous bullshit to spew on social media, because that’s the only thing you seem to have a talent for; but no ridiculous excuse will make any of it better. Nothing will be able to paint your complete and utter failure in any kind of positive light. Only two facts will emerge from tonight’s tag team championship match...The Eldons are nothing. And Jessica and Summer are absolutely FABULOUS!
Jessica Lasiewicz:
Dobranoc…
Singles Match
Lowri Moss VS Joey LeclairBig challenge ahead for the Cloud Gate champion, against a former Chicago Way champion in Joey Leclair. Leclair started the match… With a handshake? The Death Dealer extended his head toward the Weslh superstar, a gesture that raised more than an eyebrow, starting with that of the referee. The fans obviously were not buying this apparent turn to a new leaf Joey was trying to sell, and Moss herself looked extremely dubious. But she decided to take the chance and reach out, shaking Leclair’s hand. Surprisingly, nothing bad happened, and the match could begin with a lock up. Joey had the strength advantage but Lowri slipped behind his back and tried to get the quick win with an O’Connor Roll, obtaining a count of two. Leclair got up to his feet and, rather than challenging Moss on a technical level, he caught her with a right hook to the jaw. The Cloud Gate champion was not one to shy away from a fight, going blow for blow with the Prodigy. And Leclair learned firsthand why Lowri won the Best Striker Award in FGA, tearing through his guard with her kicks. Before he knew, he found himself in the corner, discovering that her chops and forearms hurt just as much as her kicks. The Scarlet Barrage left him groggy and short winded, but he still managed to reverse the irish whip attempt and send Lowri all the way across the ring into the opposite corner, smashing her with a running uppercut. He then wrapped his arms around her head and walked to the centre of the ring, planting her on her head with a headlock driver, but it wasn’t enough to keep the champion down. None of them was holding anything back today, Joey was putting up one of his best performances to date to show the management that he’s World Championship material and make his dream match against Melissa Reeves happen. And what better way to prove it than beating the woman who beat the former Cloud Gate champion at Domino Effect? Lowri, on the other hand… Well, everybody knows she’s one of the most competitive and dominant wrestlers in the business today, and every match was a chance to prove it for her. Hard hitting, back and forth action characterized the match, keeping the fans on the edge of their seats with several near falls for either competitor. The Florida born was winning over some of his home state fans, who seemed to grow more fond of his new attitude. With a bicycle kick he caused Lowri to stumble against the ropes, bouncing back into a kick to the stomach that doubled her over, setting her up for a buckle bomb. The closeness to the ropes allowed the champion to stay in the match, but it was clear that the tables had turned. More strikes were waiting for her as she got up to her feet, kicks to the sides and forearm strikes in rapid succession. All that to set her up for the Prodigal Elbow (basically the Death Dealer Elbow with a new name), but Lowri was able to dodge it and block his arm in a half nelson, dropping him down with a suplex. The Welsh was slow to get up to her feet, visibly proven after the tough match she had been through. Joey was up right after her, the two began once again trading heavy strikes. Unlike the first exchange, Leclair was winning this one, slowly pushing Lowri back with a flurry of punches. And then he spun around hitting her with the Prodigal Elbow. The ropes prevented the stunned champion from falling, but she looked out of it. She stood there, laying against the ropes trying to recover. Joey charged in for a clothesline but, out of nowhere, Moss connected the Breuddwydion Melus (superkick). She fell on top of Joey and the referee started to count the 1 2 3. WINNER: Lowri Moss BY: Pinfall , Time (Breuddwydion Melus), 15:29 |
Entering to her theme music and a loud reaction from the fans in attendance, Melissa Reeves slips into the ring and is handed a microphone to talk.
Melissa Reeves:
Tampa Baaaaay! Wow, it’s been a while since I was in Florida, but here we are. Millennium, live from Tampa, and isn’t it all just so exciting?
She lets the fans cheer for a little while, but her enthusiasm is clearly fake and she soon turns more serious.
Melissa Reeves:
I’ve been doing this a long time now, let me tell you, and I’ve seen a lot since I began. My opponent tonight, well, this is my fourth time facing him by my count. Fair to say, then, I know the guy pretty well.
Reeves nods.
Melissa Reeves:
Is he one of the best in Millennium? Perhaps. Is he THE best in Millennium? No. I am.
She raises a finger, holding the crowd back from reacting too loudly.
Melissa Reeves:
Think about it for a moment. Who’s achieved more than me here? So many names have come and gone, had their moment in the light and faded away, but not me. I have stood here and remained, stoic, immovable.
She lowers her hand now.
Melissa Reeves:
And yet, despite it, I never got my rematch for the MWE Title I lost. I never had the chance to recapture that gold, at any stage. I’ve not been in a match for the MWE since the night I lost it. What’s that all about? How many chances do other people get to have, before it’s my rightful turn?
Scoffing, she circles the ring.
Melissa Reeves:
Duke may have momentarily grasped the MWE title, a fleeting moment of success, but I held it for the longest it’s ever been held. So tonight, when I beat him, it won’t be just for my personal satisfaction. No, it’ll serve as a reminder, a nice little lesson for everyone - just like when I run through Joey Leclair.
The fans cheer for her now.
Melissa Reeves:
And then, after that? Iser, you’re next.
Reeves drops the mic and motions across her waist. A warning, yes. A prediction? Perhaps.
Singles Match
Melissa Reeves VS Duke AndrewsFor the fifth time Melissa Reeves and Duke Andrews met in a MWE ring. A rivalry that goes back to the APE glory days when the Reaver was World champion and Duke, at the time right hand of Chris Constantine Junior did alongside with his buddies, everything in their power to dethrone her. It was an uphill battle for Duke at least on paper. In their previous encounters Melissa had the best in most of them and was determined to keep the streak going. But this was a different Andrews than the man she fought months ago, a lot more determined and focused on reaching that goal he came so close to achieving at Domino Effect. He hit her hard since the opening bell with his dirty brawling style, stiff punches and forearm strikes aiming at the face. Reeves fought back, relying mostly on her legs though it was an uppercut that staggered Duke enough for her to try a fisherman ddt. Andrews blocked the attempt and elbowed his way out of it, turning the former World Champion inside out with a lariat. The moment Mel touched the mat, Duke was already on top of her, pounding at her with lefts and rights. Too aggressive according to the referee who ordered him to let go, starting to count as Duke ignored his demand. At four he finally let her go, last thing he wanted was to get disqualified. But it was just a momentary break before he picked Mel up and whipped her against the ropes. His big boot attempt was too telegraphed and the longest reigning MWE World champion ducked under it and quickly popped up to her feet behind Duke’s. As the Epitome Of Perfection turned around, Reeves hooked both hands around his head and leaped to bring both knees to his face, connecting the Facial Deconstructor. Duke wisely rolled under the bottom rope before the champ could make the cover, possibly saving himself. Melissa dragged him up and clocked him with a high kick to the head, leaving him groggy on the apron. Taking a short run at the ropes on the opposite side, she bounced back and charged at Duke at full speed, leaping over his head and exploiting gravity to slam him on the hard floor outside with a breathtaking sunset flip powerbomb. If that move gave her immediate payoff, it became sort of a double-edged sword when she tried to get the opponent back in the ring. As she went to lit the former Lockdown champion, he pushed her back, driving her lower back onto the apron and, just as quickly, set her up for the Crossroads (leghook reverse STO) on the outside. The tremendous combo changed the momentum of the match, now firmly on Duke’s side. The ringside area was not the place you want to find yourself in with Michigan’s Favorite Son. The commentary table might be gone but there were still plenty of spots he could slam Melissa onto to wear her down. There was the barricade of course, the apron he powerbombed her onto and, of course, the steel steps. First he threw Reeves against them with all his strength, then he lifted her and dropped her onto them with a spinebuster. The former World Champion was in big trouble, more so when Duke dragged her back in the ring and placed her on his shoulders for the Andrews’ Effect. The champion’s instinct kicked in and Melissa threw her body weight forward managing to counter his attack with a Victory Roll, catching him off guard. Andrews kicked out in two and half and rolled back to his feet, faster than the exhausted Mel. He didn’t hesitate and smashed her face in with the Killshot, making the cover and obtaining only a count of two. Back and forth they went for a few more minutes, the commentators duo pointing out how Mel was incredibly still into this match, despite the ridiculous amount of punishment she had been put through. With one last effort she picked Duke up on her shoulders and was about to drop him with the Reaver Slam but the Michigan born raked her eyes. His right leg, the one Reeves targeted throughout the past minutes to prepare the ground for her Iron Lock, gave up and Duke found himself on his knee behind the opponent’s back. Thinking fast, he slipped his leg through her legs and, with a bellow like a wild animal, forced himself up to his feet with the former champion on his shoulders. Then he dropped her forward, completing the Andrews effect and picking up a major win, sending a clear message to Seth Iser. WINNER: Duke Andrews BY: Pinfall (Andrews Effect), 16:36 |
We see a couple of moments after the match that Duke had with Melissa. He’s a little worn down, understandably so, but as Duke is about ready to leave the ring there is a change in the atmosphere as someone else has walked through the curtain.
Seth Iser:
Well...well well. Look what we have here.
Just one statement said and the audience is giving the world champion a standing boovation. Duke is right away on guard as Seth Iser is starting to walk down the ramp. He is not dressed for a fight, being dressed in a white and black suit that almost makes him look more mobster than professional, and he’s got a little more pep to his step. He is also wearing the MWE World Title while the FGA World Title is over his left shoulder.
Seth Iser:
I see you’ve been busy to say the very least...quite busy given everything. Biggest match of your damn life is ahead of you. Not career...life. And we both know what’s on the line. Might not know entirely how we’re going to fight yet but...we’ll cross that bridge when we get there considering the nature of the Dark Web Pay Per View.
There’s a hint of arrogance creeping into his voice as a smirk is creeping across his worn face. For as much as he got his arm up, his face still got a little bit of the triple fireball from Riot after Dark. He stops about halfway up the ramp when Duke is standing right at the ropes, it does seem he isn’t interested in any physicality.
Seth Iser:
Relax...I’m not here for a fight right now. We’re already going to be paid to fight for the biggest prize in our company. I don’t believe in fighting for free, anyway. Sorry to disappoint you people.
He turns to the people and the fans are booing him with that statement but he raises his arm to get them to pipe down before eyeballing the challenger.
Seth Iser:
But you’re wondering why I’m here now, right?
He asks that calmly but he’s staying where he’s at. Duke is glaring in his direction with a fire to his eyes but Seth is returning that with a cold glare before a devious smile is creeping to his face.
Seth Iser:
So...let’s make a deal, Duke Andrews.
There’s a dark chuckle that escapes from Iser’s lips after that last sentence. His tone of voice has a little bit of actual malice to it.
Duke turns his body and paces to the far side of the ring. The lights that are reflecting off of the ring show the red marks across his skin. The droplets of sweat. His match with Melissa Reeves was a little more than a regular tune up.
Duke Andrews:
Le...let’s make a deal?
Duke pauses as he’s still catching his breath from his match. Running his hand up to his jaw as he cracks his neck, but feeling a slight sting from a shot he took from Melissa.
Duke Andrews:
Alright Seth….propose your deal.
Duke has now walked back to the original side of the ring facing the ramp. Leaning his body against the ropes as the top rope supports his frame.
Seth Iser:
Straight to the point...I can appreciate that.
The champion doesn’t take any further steps though he has Duke’s attention. There is a random yell from the crowd but it’s ignored by both wrestlers.
Seth Iser:
I’d rather avoid physicality for the sake of it...and hell, I think we both enjoy fighting for our money...so it’s a simple little deal. Kind of sporty honestly. I have a little idea to see where you stand mentally. And it’s a two parter. The first part...the part that could benefit you right away, is a simple one. I’m giving you control of who I face in a singles match.
The crowd perks up as they wonder all the possibilities going through their head.
Seth Iser:
Pick my poison, however you want to frame it. I’m giving you that kind of control for one match for any opponent of your choosing. You can use it to try to scout a situation...or you can use it to send someone who wants a pound of my flesh. Hell, someone who has the unknown element who wants to prove themselves against me. The possibilities are endless obviously considering...I’m not exactly a nice person.
And then a devious smirk from the veteran yet again.
Seth Iser:
Hell, we can make it really fun. We don’t have to know until the person is walking down the ramp who it is. Really keep me on my toes if you wish.
Duke has been around forever, he always knows there’s a catch as he’s just waiting for Seth to drop the other shoe. And to his credit he’s not going to dance around it.
Seth Iser:
Here’s the other end of it. I return the favor after the fact on the following show. It’s a one for one. And how you use your end...might affect what you get with mine. And we both have a multitude of enemies to deal with. So...what do you say? Do we have a deal?
Duke continued to lean against the ropes. His lips curling upwards as the chants began to reign down. The people in the crowd expecting to see Seth and Duke come to blows were pissed as the top two superstars in the company kept their distance.
Duke Andrews:
That’s your million dollar deal? The old man has this...you know what?...
Duke again smirks as he nods his head.
Duke Andrews:
You’re on Seth. You will find out your opponent on Riot.
Duke drops the microphone as his music begins to play.
Two more matches left on the card, two titles on the line. First were the tag team titles, the current champions Fabulous set to defend against The Eldons.
As we came back from the commercial break, we opened to Elsa McCarthy standing in the middle of the ring with a microphone in her hand.
Elsa McCarthy:
Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to Millennium 79. Don't worry, I'll only take a few moments of your time before leaving you to the matches you all were waiting for. And that's why I'm out here now, I have a quick announcement to make regarding the tag team title match.
The buzzing stopped, everyone turned their ears to the young general manager.
Elsa McCarthy:
This is the second time The Eldons challenge Fabulous for the titles, and I'm sure you all remember what happened at Domino Effect.
The titantron lit up to show the final moments of the match, with Karen pretending she got hit by Jessica with her own purse, causing the champions to be disqualified. Seeing that again drew a loud round of boos from the Florida fans, even a month apart.
Elsa McCarthy:
I think we can all agree, nobody wants to see something like that happen again. Or having a team break the rules and get away with it. That's why I came up with a decision I believe it's fair. Tonight's match will be contested under no disqualification rules.
The answer from the fans was enthusiastic, the commentators stated the potential pros and cons of this choice. Elsa gave evrybody time to process this before continuing.
Elsa McCarthy:
I understand there might be run ins and whatnot, but I also believe this is the fairest I can make the play field. Anything goes tonight, you guys are free to do whatever you want to each other. But after the bell rings and we have a winner, I don't want to hear any more complaints or excuses.
Good luck, and may the best team win.
After this game changing announcement, Elsa left the ring. Luigi Boccherini's "Minuetto" began to play, the challengers were on their way to the ring, ready to settle their score with the tag team champions.
MWE Tag Team Championship Match
Fabulous © VS The Eldon Family
Well, you heard that. The MWE Tag Team titles are now on the line in a match with no disqualification. Hard to say who, if any, was really favored by Elsa’s last minute change. The Eldons who wouldn’t have played by the rules anyway or Fabulous, with Jessica now free to indulge her dark side without having to worry about the consequences? Karen and Clyde didn’t even wait for the bell to ring to attack the champion, getting rid of Summer and double-teaming the Archangel. No rules meant no tags were needed either and the challengers were fully exploiting the loop, frustrating every attempt Summer made to reenter the ring and isolating Jessica, wearing her down with body shots and closed fists. Kimberly wanted to help her half-sister but the Archangel stopped her, reminding her that she was there to watch their backs. Clearly Jessica was trying to avoid giving Karen any excuse to call for backups, knowing that the Bad Boyz must’ve been somewhere waiting to get involved to help the Eldons. Lasiewicz fought her way out of the corner surprising Clyde with a heabutt and throwing him out of the ring. She then called Karen with a not-so-flattering epithet that started with “C” and ended with “unt”, channeling all her hate for the woman in one of the hardest Our Lady Peace ever seen in a wrestling ring. Bet it put a smile on Lady Magdalena’s face, just like he did on that of Jessica’s cousin, Anastasia Starling cheering on Fabulous from the front row. The kick sent Karen right into Summer’s arms. Collins, without a doubt the most over of the four if anything for being born in Florida, connected a snap bridging german suplex, but the pinfall attempt was broken by CEJ, flying onto her with a top rope splash. The action was frantic and brutal, chairs were brought into the match and slammed on the opponents’ bodies until they became useless and shapeless heaps of metal. Clyde seemed particularly proficient in using them, to the detriment of the hometown girl who received a few hard shots to the back before curb stomping her onto it. Jessica saved her partner and the titles with a vicious stomp to the back of Clyde’s head. Dragging him up to his feet, she dropped him on the same chair he used to maim Summer with The Hot Shot (pedigree). Luckily for him, his thick head sort of absorbed the impact and he kicked out in two. Karen reached for her purse, which was perfectly legal in a match like this. But so was Kimberly trying to stop her, the two women were struggling for the possession of the purse until Marcus Ali Jr blasted the Wildcard with a clothesline to the back of the head. He didn’t come alone, obviously. Khalil Washington III was there with him and the two Bad Boyz were taking care of the Woman Scorned. Jessica wrapped her arms around Karen’s waist and tried to suplex her but the woman resisted and headbutter the tag champion to get free. She then hit Jessica with the purse, following with the Can I Speak To The Manager running knee. That was it, Karen hooked the leg and made the cover, the Eldon are the new MWE Tag Team champi…. NO! Jessica raised her shoulder at the very last moment, Karen couldn’t believe it! Sitting on the mat pulling at her own hair, she stared at Lasiewicz who, against all odds, just kicked out from her best shot. On the outside Erika Eldon, who came out to celebrate her family’s win, was desperate as well. Marcus and KW3 decided to step in the ring and help Karen and Clyde out, but a desperate cry caught their attention. Warblade 42 was standing in front of the visibly upset Erika. As if her imposing size wasn't scary enough, Valkyrie was saying what we can only assume were threatening words to the young girl who was backing down from the Dane. Erika was dangerously close to the edge of the stage when Valkyrie grabbed her by the throat, seemingly about to chokeslam her on the production crates down below!. Karen didn’t hesitate, shouting at Marcus and Khalil to go rescue her daughter. Was Valkyrie actually going to attack the young Eldon? Maybe not, but we will never know. The Bad Boyz rushed out of the ring and charged at Warblade 42 while Summer slid back in setting up a table behind the unaware Karen’s back. When Eldon turned around, Collins planted her with the Stock Market Crash (rock bottom) through the table and made the cover. Jessica recovered just in time to block Clyde’s attempt to break it up, allowing her partner to get the decisive three. WINNER: Fabulous (STILL MWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS) BY: Pinfall (Stock Market Crash), 18:10 |
Hammerstein:
So you got my attention, Dusty….
The camera focuses on the face of the Millennium Lockdown Champion. His voice is low, but firm, and his expression is one of resolute defiance.
Hammerstein:
Now what are you gonna do about it?
The camera pulls back, showing The American Monster sitting on a steel chair, leaning forward with his forearms resting on his knees. His dog collar is wrapped around his neck and the steel chain hanging from his taped fists.
Hammerstein:
See, big man, even I gotta admit I'm impressed with how you've seemed to find your balls and attempted to make a statement at my expense. Draggin' me around with a chain wrapped around my neck wasn't original, but it was damn sure effective.
But do you think that you intimidated me?
Hammerstein smirks and shakes his head.
Hammerstein:
Absolutely not, no, not even a little.
You've done this your entire career. You pull off something that gets you noticed, then you shrink back into the background.
Why is that?
Hammerstein scratches his chin, as if in deep thought.
Hammerstein:
I think I have an idea as to why.
It's because you don't have the heart or the guts to follow through on your own. You a walk behinder, Dusty. You always have been. You've tried to stand on your own two feet and be a man. But every time you do you see opposition and you willingly fade into the pack.
And, when you see an opportunity, you try to make it. Hell, you even act like you're proud of yourself. But deep down, past the Murder Train bravado, you know you don't have it in you to get the job done.
The Lockdown Champion stands up and kicks the chair out of the way. He reaches down into his gear bag and pulls out the Title.
Hammerstein:
Here's your chance, Big Dust. Your chance to prove you're not a walk behinder. The chance to prove you're not some gutless wonder.
The chance to prove me wrong.
And what's the prize for doin' that?
Hammerstein holds The Lockdown Championship up to the camera with his left hand.
Hammerstein:
It's this right here.
But what do you get if you can't get the job done... again?
The American Monster holds up his right fist, which is wrapped with the chain.
Hammerstein:
It's this.
THE FOLLOWING SEGMENT IS PAID FOR BY SANDSTORM ENERGY DRINKS AND UNDER ARMOR
The camera comes into the locker room of a lone, single figure who lets face it, has them fat thighs, little waist, pretty face thing going on. Dustin Douglas is as alone as the fat virgin on prom night, and is shadowboxing, sporting a nifty set of Under Armor brand Ear Phones.
Under Armor, when you want to over pay for the same thing you could get for much cheaper on Amazon
Anyway, he throws a few more punches, a couple of knees, and then throws his ear phone off...they do not break by the way because of the super space age technology and components used by Under Armor in manufacturing....and he addresses the camera
Dusty Douglas:
Just listening to a little Bush....the lyrics have hit home with me recently. And since Im about to face some jabroni that likes to make fun of my adoration for 90s and 2000s era music...this is for you.
"Im never alone, Im alone all the time"
My friends are all gone. And my enemies are falling on my left and on my right as fast and as easy as a slutty cheerleader, both lay on their backs out of breath and winded. But the truth remains, The Murder Train is riding the rails all alone. And thats just fine and dandy.
Tonight I finish what I set out to do, alone. I won the #Sandstorm Heavyweight tournament, all by myself, and tonight I not only capture a title that frankly I deserve and have earned, I get to shut the mouth of Hammerstein. Hammy, you and I have sang this song before, but this aint going to be second verse, same as the first kind of thing. This time the outcome is different. You've beaten me, now its my turn to return that favor and feeling to you.
You hold something I need, a key to getting what I want. I want...and I will be.....the greatest wrestling MWE has ever seen. I will be the greatest Lockdown champion this fed has ever witnessed, and I will toss bodies out of my way as I drive that long, long railway to my end destination.
And here is a message for all you fans out there, watching me, wishing you could be me, longing to make somehrting of yourselves...I was once like you. You all know my story, of course you do....Dustin Douglas is becoming a legend in his now right. I am about to accomplish something tonight, on my own, all alone, and earn something that will be mine for a long, long time.
And it pisses you off, doesn't it?
You are all stuck in crappy, mundane lives. Stuck in a loveless marriage, or a dead end job, meaningless hobbies that do nothing for no one, raising ungrateful children who do not respect you. And you wish you could get out....I get it, I was there...and I did something to change. The difference between you people in the stands watching me watching me, and me in the ring living the dream, I actually did something about it. I am not some pathetic jabroni behind a keyboard typing hateful things and hitting keys extra hard hoping to find validation in my shitty line. Instead Im doing something that you morons can't, or wont do.
I am making something of myself....living the dream. Becoming better.
Am I better than you people? Yes, absolutely one hundred percent.
And I better than Hammerstein? We will see tonight won't we.
Oh....I forgot to mention
He picks up and can of #Sandstorm and guzzles it.
Dusty Douglas:
Sandstorm is delicious and nutirous and if you have achieved an erection for more than 4 hours after consuming Sandstorm, you're welcome....go make love to your fat ugly toothless wife you diabetic sack of garbage.
He again chugs the can, drinking all of its contents and crushes the can on his head before walking out
MENTV Lockdown Championship Match
Hammerstein's Rule: Dog Collar Match
Hammerstein © VS Dusty DouglasHammerstein's Rule: Dog Collar Match
Peyton Holland: “Ambra, what an incredible night this has been.” Ambra Monroe: “I’m still processing the tag match, what a carnage that has been.” Peyton Holland: “Definitely one of the toughest matches Fabulous have been into, at least here in MWE. And speaking of carnage, what about our main event?” Ambra Monroe: “There will be blood, that’s the only thing for sure. As for the favorite? Dustin is still undefeated in singles competition, but on the other hand, this is Hammerstein’s match.” Peyton Holland: “You’re right, this is going to be a war, and both are ready for it. Hammerstein versus Dusty Douglas for the Lockdown championship. Brace yourselves folks, this is going to be one to remember.” As the bell rang, Dustin grabbed the chain and yanked at it. Hammerstein was expecting it and grabbed the other hand, resisting with every ounce of energy he had. Despite his attempt, Douglas won the tug-of-war and pulled the champion into his tight embrace, connecting a big belly-to-belly suplex off the bat. He followed with some hard stomps, from which Jacob tried to pull himself away by rolling out of the ring. Not so fast, said Dustin who once again grabbed the chain and dragged the champion back in the ring, obviously putting pressure on his neck and throat and affecting his regular breathing. And while he tried to catch his breath, The Murder Train started flogging him with the chain. Peyton Holland: “Definitely a rough start for the champion here. Nobody was expecting to see him in such difficulty so early.” Ambra Monroe: “Duke Andrews, Kyle Butler, Khalil Washington III… These are the people Hammerstein beat to retain his title so far, all big fellas but none of them as strong as the Big Nasty.” That raw was making all the difference in the first part of the match. Hammerstein didn’t have a counter for it, slowly crumbling under Douglas’ blows. To maximize the damage done, Dusty wrapped the chain around his fist as he punched the champion’s face. As a result, Hammerstein quickly turned into a bloody mess, blood pouring from a couple of cuts on his orbital area, barely able to stand on his feet. The Murder Train went for the Hyper Beam, knocking down the Lockdown champion with his spinning backfist. The subsequent cover attempt gave him a long two count, but you didn’t see any frustration on his face as Hammerstein kicked out. Amusement, maybe. Peyton Holland: “What a dominant performance by the challenger.” Ambra Monroe: “Hammerstein knew this was going to be his toughest challenge to date, but he probably didn’t quite expect something like this.” Desperate times call for desperate measures and Hammerstein wasn’t afraid to cut some corners to turn the tides and start making his impact in this match. A low blow caught Dustin off guard and allowed Hammerstein to wrap the chain around his neck and take him down with a russian legsweep. Then he tried to choke the big man out using the chain, a simple but effective way to wear him down. Dustin managed to sneak his fingers between the chain and the neck relieving some pressure. And before you know, the Murder Train was getting up to his feet while starting to power out from the hold. Hammerstein wasn’t letting him go, closing distance and tightening the grip. From a position that reminded a sleeper hold. he tried to suplex Dustin twice, but he always managed to block the attempt. When he tried it a third time, Douglas pushed back with his rear into the opponent’s midsection. He repeated the gesture two more times and it worked, forcing Hammerstein to let go of him. Just like he did early, Douglas pulled the bloodied champion toward him, this time dropping him with a big boot. Ambra Monroe: “And just like that, Dustin is back in control.” Peyton Holland: “Perhaps. But look at him, it’s undeniable that these last couple of minutes took their toll.” And Hammerstein noticed that the big man was having struggles breathing. Determined to capitalize on the moment, Hammerstein unleashed a volley of kicks and punches to the opponent, backing him into the corner. He kept hitting him with forearm strikes that turned into stomps as the giant slipped down into a seated position. Being tied up to your opponent made moves like the Pounce useless, but didn’t limit his Hammerplexes at all. They kept coming in all shape and forms. Despite Douglas’ weight, Hammerstein was lifting him with relative in a classic burst of adrenaline. And since blood was drawn by the Big Nasty in the opening minutes, the champion thought it’d be nice to return the courtesy, cutting the champion's skin with a razor sharp elbow strike, following with some old school grinding and rubbing the chain on the open wound. Ambra Monroe: “Looks like we count Hammerstein out too soon.” Now Dustin was the one in trouble, eating a savate kick from the champion that sent him into the corner. Hammerstein hooked his arms to the ropes and exposed his chest, making it a perfect target for the chops, Three landed before the man had an epiphany: rather than using his hand to chop him, he could've used the chain to his advantage. And he lashed him with a hard whupping, leaving a huge bruise on the chest and possibly cracking a rib or too. He insisted on that body part, using knees and punches to inflict more damage to the ribs and sides, applying an abdominal stretch that allowed him to keep pounding at the ribs with more punches. The look on Dustin’s face was a mix of pain and desperation, many people including the commentators thought he was going to tap out at any moment. But he held on, managing to free one arm and rock Hammy with an elbow to the side of the head, forcing him to release the hold. Douglas hit him with a series of rapid fire headbutts, reopening the wounds on Hammerstein’s face. Blood began pouring once again, affecting the champion’s sight. He, literally, never saw the Giga Impact coming but, as if we needed another testament of Hammerstein’s incredible resilience he still kicked out of it. But there was nothing he could do to escape the King Kai Clutch, Dusty’s patented Anaconda Vice tonight in an upgraded version with the chain wrapped around his neck. It took him a good minute to subdue the champion, who was refusing to tap out. But the pressure on the trachea and the blood loss were too much for his body to take. His mind wasn’t going to give up, but his body did and he passed out. The referee immediately called for the bell, not even the American Monster could stop the Murder Train. WINNER: Dustin Douglas (NEW LOCKDOWN CHAMPION) BY: Submission (King Kai Clutch), 22:23 |
