A camera finds Lowri Moss sitting on a sofa, in the living room of the apartment in Orlando that she shares with Neal Durden, while in front of her, on a coffee table, lie two bundles of papers and a pen. Dressed in a pair of jeans and a replica Wales rugby union jersey, Lowri offers a smile to the camera, before starting by giving her usual greeting-- the same greeting that Melissa Reeves quoted prior to their match eleven days ago.
Lowri Moss: What’s occurring, everyone?
Melissa’s attempt at the catchphrase was certainly not the worst that Lowri has heard, but it does still sound better coming from someone who is from South Wales, as opposed to someone who is from New South Wales.
Lowri Moss: I hope you’re all having a good weekend. I’m sure a lot of you are looking forward to watching the Super Bowl this evening, although I’m more interested in watching Wales play Ireland in the Six Nations, which kicks off not too long from now.
For those unaware, the Six Nations is an annual rugby union competition involving the teams of Wales and Ireland, plus England, France, Italy, and Scotland.
Lowri Moss: Before any of that gets underway though, seeing as night one of Domino Effect is now just six days away, it’s probably about time that I revealed what decision I’ve come to regarding the two offers I have on the table from the General Managers of both of the MWE brands, Millennium and Riot.
Literally “on the table,” it appears.
Lowri Moss: If you’ve been paying attention to Riot and Millennium in recent weeks, you’ll know that both Vincent Moretti and Elsa McCarthy have been courting my services for their respective brands. They each invited me to attend their first shows of the year, they then each arranged a match to give me a chance to-- in Elsa’s words-- “test the waters,” and now they have each made me firm contract offers to sign with their brand, with both offers including a match for me seven days from now, on night two of Domino Effect. The contracts were faxed--
Lowri mid-sentence, letting out a chuckle.
Lowri Moss: Yes, it may be 2021 now, but believe it or not, some people do still use fax machines-- although I don’t have one here, so I had to have the contracts faxed to my local Parcel Plus, and I then collected them from there.
She takes a breath, before continuing.
Lowri Moss: Anyway, as I was saying, the two contracts were faxed to me on Thursday, and now I have them both here in front of me, just waiting for me to sign; one for Millennium--
Lowri points to the contract that is on her left.
Lowri Moss: And one for Riot.
She then gestures towards the other contract, which is on her right.
Lowri Moss: I’ve had about three and a half days now to consider my options, since speaking with both Vincent and Elsa on Wednesday night, and… there’s little to choose between the two offers. The rosters of both Millennium and Riot contain a few wrestlers who I’ve crossed paths with previously, but they also both contain numerous wrestlers who I’ve never been in the ring with before, so either brand would enable me to renew acquaintances with some past opponents, while also giving me plenty of potential opportunities for some never-before-seen matchups.
Lowri has already had one such matchup just last Sunday, with her match against Henri Black at Riot In Illinois XIX.
Lowri Moss: As for the two General Managers themselves, I’m more familiar with Vincent than I am with Elsa, having known him a bit longer. He has also been around the sport significantly longer than Elsa, who’s actually a couple of years younger than I am. I’m not going to count her comparative inexperience against her though. After all, the only way to gain experience in something is by doing. I’m also not going to count what happened back in October at the Anniversary event against her; I’m confident that going forward, regardless of which of these two contracts I was to sign, I would be able to have an amicable working relationship with the brand’s General Manager, whether that’s Vincent or whether it’s Elsa.
Following the briefest of pauses, she continues.
Lowri Moss: And like I mentioned a moment or two ago, they’ve both dangled in front of me the carrot of a match next weekend at Domino Effect, with both of the proposed matches having titles at stake in them: on one hand, another one-on-one match with Melissa Reeves, this time for the Cloud Gate Championship, while on the other hand, a three way dance with Henri Black and Pierce Manning, with the Riot Championship on the line.
Lowri then lets out a sigh.
Lowri Moss: There is, of course, a third option that I could take. A few weeks ago I told first Vincent, then Elsa, that I wasn’t sure I wanted to commit myself to another promotion, so I could just say to them both, “thanks, but no thanks,” and politely decline both of their offers.
She smiles wryly.
Lowri Moss: But we’re past that point now. Both Vincent and Elsa know how much I love this sport, they both know that there’s nowhere I enjoy being more than inside the squared circle, and with the offers that they’ve made to me, they’ve both demonstrated how highly they value my talent, which is something that I very much appreciate. Only one of them is going to be able to get my signature though, while the other is going to be left disappointed.
Lowri runs a hand through her hair.
Lowri Moss: I’ve given this decision a lot of thought, and with the position that I find myself in, with what the two General Managers have offered, there really is no wrong choice, but ultimately, I came to the conclusion that if I’m going to join MWE full-time, then there’s one match that I want more than any other right now.
She leans forward, picking the pen up off the coffee table, and looking down at the two contracts lying in front of her.
Lowri Moss: And so, I’m pleased to announce that I’ve decided to sign with--
Her eyes move back and forth between the two contracts, before eventually settling on one of them.
Lowri Moss: Millennium.
She flicks through the Millennium contract to the last page, to make her decision official. After signing the contract, she then looks back up at the camera.
Lowri Moss: Melissa--
A broad smile spreads across her face.
Lowri Moss: See you again next Sunday, yeah?
And as Lowri looks towards the camera, with that grin on her face, the video comes to an end.
